Summer: Angela gets caught sneaking out and working for Mayday, the rebel organization.

Warnings: Usual for the fic, mentions of forced breeding, death, child marriage. Tommy is a lil manipulative but he's looking out for his neice.

A/n: Just a bonus chapter to add more context to Angela and Tommy a few chapters down, takes place between Chapter 1 and chapter 5, none descript time.

Busted.

Tommy was perched up on the counter, looking awfully childish for such a gangly man with one leg dangling down, the other on the countertop, bent. He was sipping on some whiskey.

"You're not as sneaky as you think you are."

Angela sighed, leaning up against the wall. There was no point fighting or denying. If Tommy wanted her on the wall, she'd be on the all. If he didn't, she wouldn't.

"Thought you were asleep."

Tommy's face splits into a shit eating grin. "I was up making love to my wife."

Angela cringes, both at his phrasing and at the idea of Tommy fucking Deb. Gross. But he did that on purpose, Tommy loved to tease her, and in turn, she teased him, edging him into oblivion.

"Whasamatter, sweetness, jealous?" He laughed, and Angela laughed back.

"You wish. I'm just disgusted at the fact you'd actually stick your dick in that old crow."

He shrugged. "Pussy is pussy." He glanced down at her clothed core. "And my favorite pussy was no where to be found, out running out with rebels."

In another life, Tommy wouldn't have been her first choice to have sex. He was very confident, he knew how good looking and hung he was, and the cocky attitude wasn't your favorite thing, but Tommy grew on a person. Soon you realize he's very sweet, easy to get along with, boyish, and you just wanna get destroyed by his cock, and one you get filled by him once, wow, you're trapped. Romantically, Angela was more inclined to women if she was being honest, but still, she'd have fucked Tommy and been his friend outside of this whole shit show. Especially if it mean the audience of his brother.

She sighed. "Whadya want, Tommy, gonna have me killed?"

Tommy looked downright offended, hoping off the counter and spreading his arms out. Amazingly, he didn't spill of drop from his glass. "C'mon now sugar!" Angela rolled her eyes. "What kinda guy do you take me for?"

"Tommy" She gave him a pointed look. "My man, we have fun, but I'm under no false pretense of what this is. You're still a commander in a patriarchal regime."

Tommy looked everywhere but at her, suddenly bashful "Ah, c'mon now..." he kicked at the floor, and you could easily imagine him with cowboy boots scuffing the floor of a bar. "I ain't like that." He took long drink of whiskey and set it down.

"Oh please." She scoffed. "Don't act like you just joined the sons of Jacob for fun."

Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he looked like a boy who got caught cheating on his schoolwork. "Well, KINDA"

She laughed. "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah!" He finally looked at her again. "Listen, it was Joel's thing he was into and I was drink'n lot back then, had gotten into coke and Joel wanted me off it. Thought it'd be good for me to have to have more positive male figure, you know? Our dad wasn't exactly a shine'n example grow'n up." He rolled his eyes.

Angela laughed, perhaps louder than she should have, but it didn't really matter now. Commander Miller made all the decisions. "So what? You just joined a terrorist organization for an extra circular activity!?"

"It didn't start like that!" His southern accent was more prominent when he got worked up. "It just started as a men's group, like those old lodges they used to have. Was religious, and I was a beleiver and all that so it worked, helped me work through the stuff I saw in the army."

She scoffed again, more distaine this time. "I'm so glad millions died in your quest for self actualization."

Scrubbing his face with his hands, Tommy whined. "No, I just- ugh. I just joined it because it was there and Joel wanted me to, okay? I liked some of the stuff they talked about, the stuff Joel really pushed about creating a better world for our kids... and you probably know, with all your mayday shit, but I had a niece back then."

"Oh. No, I didn't... was she Joel's?"

"Yeah" he breathed out, walking over to his drink and taking a long sip. "She was killed by a mayday bomb." Tommy side-eyed her before setting the glass down. "So yeah, my group have have destroyed the fucking world but your group murdered a 13 year old who I watched die in my brother's arms, and she was my world."

Angela wasn't sure what to say to that. She wasn't apologizing for the bomb, as it was likely meant to kill the Commander's Miller, but she wasn't glad a child died.

"What do you want, Tommy."

He huffed a laugh, frustrated and defensive but still Tommy. "I help you, actually."

Oh. "What?!"

"Yeah." He turned to her, smiling again. His mood was unpredictable. "I wanna help the rebellion."

"Buy why? You just said the biggest reason anyone could have to hate us."

"And I do. I wasn't on board with Sons of Jacob after shit started getting crazy, and I almost backed out when the handmaids plan was annouced, but then they killed my neice, and I a reason to stay and get revenge."

She knew the Miller brothers were particularly strong against mayday, snuffing them out like candles and now she understood why. It was personal but in the last few years, it'd been Joel, mostly. Tommy was never in the political aspect much. He did diplomatic work as he was a charmer, but he wasn't involved in meeting and planning outside of military. Still, his lack of presence was being noted. Maybe she could find out why.

"So why would you want to help me when you could just have me killed for what we did you your niece."

Relaxing, Tommy's confidence was back. "Ironically enough, for my niece again."

"Miss Elizabeth."

He nods. "Yeah. I think it was easier to deal with when she was in wives school, or when we didn't really realize her personality... we could imagine she'd have this picture perfect life we wanted her to have."

"Without reading."

"Hey now, that was Waterford, not us."

"Uh huh."

"Anyway, now we see she's... something else. A bit of a nutjob." He said with a fond smile. "Incredibly bright, and incredibly mouthy. She's not gonna last a year out of Joel's protection, especially if Gina gets her way and sends her off with David Bedford, fucking pedophile." The disgust was obvious.

She stepped closer. "So what do you want, Tommy. I can't control who she marries if Joel can't either"

Tommy looked her dead in the eyes. "I want her to get out. I help you guys tell you what you need within reason. Then, we figure out an opening, and you take Ellie out."

She blinks. What the fuck. "Tommy. You can't be serious."

"I am."

"This is a trap, isn't it?"

Tommy shrugs. "If I wanted the best pussy I've gotten in years hanging on the wall, you'd be there already."

Fair enough. Angela considered it, but there wasn't much down side. She risked her life all the time anyway, and this way she could potentially get out, and take that girl with her. Bright thing like that deserved an education, deserved a life. Angela had done some digging on Bedford. A school teacher before the world fell apart, he taught high school. Ellie's age. The private school David Bedford worked at paid a lot of hush money to a woman years later, allegations unclear... but any one with a brain new what they were. "Fine, but one condition, we take OfJoel."

Tommy mocked the idea. "We can't take all your little friends, Ang."

"We're not. Just her."

"No." "It's the same goddamn place Ellie will be, come on, Tommy! She's just a fucking kid, she'll get eaten alive here."

"No!"

"She's helping Ellie, remember? Teaching her how to read, going behind Gina's back to tell you what she know, you owe her!"

Tommy pondered this, crossed arms and leaning back against the counter. "Fine. You, Ellie and OfJoelget to leave. No one else."

"Okay." She agrees, beginning to smile at the idea. Just a little bit of hope, the prospect of getting OUT... and with her? Insane. It made her a little giddy, "Yeah we can figure something out."

Tommy lit up with a smile. "Yeah?"

"Yes" She laughed, smiling now.

Tommy wooped, then grabbed her hand and pulled her towards his office. "C'mon, lets celebrate!"

"Tommy!" She said, laughing. "Didn't you JUST have sex?"

"Well yeah, but this is a celebratory boner! Totally different!"

Tommy is a disaster half the time i write him, but one thing about tommy HE LOVES HIS NIECES i think Tommy's trauma gets erased a lot tbh. He suffered too.

Hey there! Just dropping by to say that I'm glad there are people like you who stick up for Gil! ^-^

Much like Apple in Ever After High, Gil tends to be grossly misrepresented in the fandom that even just having a positive opinion of him (or heaven forbid, liking him as a character) seems to cause folks to start coming down with their pitch forks. 🙄 Like he's 16 and is a product of growing up with terrible viewpoints, calm down lol. (And sometimes if you've been raised that way for a long time it's usually difficult to unlearn those harmful beliefs, it's a long and slow process yet these people act like Gil never tried/did throughout G1's run?? Whut.)

Your media analyses are well thought-out and thorough (shame a lot of the more rabid haters might just brush it off with "I ain't readin all that" 🤡) and I'm glad you're not letting it get you down despite it.

Keep up the good work!!

I’m so glad some people appreciate how much work I put into my Gil media analysis! I poured my blood, sweat & tears into that series by combing over every piece of media Gil was in to bring the people the truth!

However the truth comes at a price, someone who I thought was pretty cool kept bitching about it being so long & “messing up the tag” that they blocked me over it… I told them they could do it but it still hurt a little.

And I’m sure there is a lot of folks laughing at “how seriously I take a kids show” like… I’m not gonna be sorry thinking children deserve good media!?!

IDK, but I think I did too much all at once & burned myself out. I needed a break so I was gone for a few months just letting the queue update for me but I think I’m ready to give the Gil saga an ending! There is not much media left with him in it.

Okay, now that I've had some time to rewatch and mull over all the information we have so far, I'm going to try and lay out my thoughts. It's gonna get long, I'd meant to do a strictly novel analysis of the scene before it aired, but life got in the way as usual. But I'm kind of glad, 'cause now I can compare the two.

There will be discussion of both the show and the novel below the cut, so if you're not interested in the novel or spoilers please pass this post by.

I'm going to start this off by saying that I am truly happy with the changes they've made in the show when it comes to the consensual aspect of the story between Kinn and Porsche. Also, as a warning, I'm going to be pulling personal experiences out to try and get my thoughts across properly. And, I don't do posts like this, like ever, so sorry if I make zero sense or talk way too much. I just have a lot of thoughts, and on the rare occasion my brain allows me to comprehensively share those thoughts, I need to take advantage.

Let's start this off from the beginning of episode 4. Porsche wakes up in Pete's bed, knows he kissed someone, can't remember, and spends the rest of the first half of the episode trying to piece things together. I know we like to joke about Porsche having a single braincell (and honestly sometimes boy... lol) but he's not an idiot and he does know how to read people. You can't be a good bartender or survive taking care of your family, young and alone, without having a decent grasp on human nature.

I think when Kinn called him up to the balcony and started asking him questions he left that conversation with a flickering of oh, I remember something happened and now Kinn is acting strangely (a theme he vocalizes later in the sauna). I think he's thinking, what did I do this time to make Kinn act so strangely (soft and flirtatious and joking around) towards me?

After he sees Kinn with his escort, realizes Kinn is gay, remembers what happened on the pier, and that what happened wasn't something he did but Kinn kissing him, he asks Pete if you should kiss someone you don't like (and the subtitles changed so don't at me...) , or aren't in a relationship with (or perhaps intentionally pursuing because you like them). Now, obviously, you can kiss people you don't like, but perhaps are just physically attracted to, and I'm sure something is lost in the translation. That or I'm just reading too much into it and Pete saying you only kiss people you like, 'cause baby boy, that ain't true. Side note, I have a feeling Pete might come to realize it isn't true when we get to the point of him with Vegas, but that's an entirely different egg to crack open. (I have also not read that far.)

Now, here, is where I want to point out just how differently Porsche reacts to what happened and how fucking ecstatic I am that they changed it completely. In the novel, Porsche struggles with a lot of internalized homophobia, though he's okay with Yok, who is trans, he mentions it took him some time to be okay with her, but he still recoils at people he thinks might be gay or someone of the same gender expressing interest in him. He frequently compliments men's looks, not just in a friendly way, and thinks about how attractive some men are, Kinn especially. In the novel, once he really realizes he's physically and sexually attracted to Kinn, Porsche has a fucking meltdown of an internal crisis over it. He even goes as far as hitting on all his guy friends trying to reason out why Kinn would be behaving the way he is towards him, and why he kind of likes it (but doesn't, but does, but doesn't etc.). The boy is a mess and in complete denial.

I'm assuming a lot here, and reading between the lines, but how I interpreted it was, Porsche had, at some point in his youth, like a lot of queer youth, gotten a lot of negative feedback about same sex attraction that really dug into his bones, and so whenever he feels anything more than friendship towards another man he freaks out and tries to bury it, all the while wanting it so badly he can't stop himself. i.e. kissing Kinn back and allowing Kinn to essentially do whatever he pleases while being vocally grumpy about it. In the novel, he doesn't know who he is when it comes to his sexuality, he's deep in denial about being bi, and actively fights against it.

The show ripped that all away and gave us the true chaotic bi king we love and adore, and who he should have been in the novel imo. Show Porsche is open, honest to a fault, accepting, understanding. Now, we haven't gotten verbal confirmation that Porsche is bi in the show, but from everything I've witnessed so far I feel safe in saying he's bi, pan, or just plainly doesn't give a fuck as long as he's getting pleasure from his encounters. He seems open to Kinn's attraction as well as his own, though to say for certain we will have to wait until episode 5, where I'm hoping they touch on this subject some more, and I hope it's on the good side in line with the changes from novel Porsche we've gotten so far. (I'm down for some turmoil about him having sex with his boss, but please keep the biphobia out please please).

As much as I'd like to get more into the lead up to the real juicy stuff, I just don't have the energy. So, let's get into the gritty of it, shall we? The drugging scene. We finally made it here. A lot faster than I was expecting? Absolutely. Does it still feel organic after the previous three episodes? If Kinn hadn't said Porsche had been at the compound for a month, yes, but since he did, no.

Porsche has been with Kinn, Khun, the other bodyguards, for a whole month. He's been learning, adjusting, actively trying to become a better bodyguard. The reasons behind his change of heart seem to be him finally coming to the realization of what a serious situation he's landed himself in. It's life or death, his life isn't the only one on the line here, it's everyone around him as well. He's clearly beginning to really care about the well-being of his fellow bodyguards (mainly Pete, Arm, Pol) and Khun and Kinn.

Also, after episode 3, it was clear to me that Porsche finds Kinn physically attractive, and I do believe wanting some kind of approval from Kinn was another motivator. He's curious about Kinn, he's attracted to him, he's leaning into it.

Kinn, poor baby, is having a beautiful emotional crisis, and a lot of that I think is thanks to Mile really pouring his entire being into fleshing Kinn out and turning him into a "well" rounded person rather than the power hungry, totally domineering, bastard asshole, very surface, no depth, Kinn we have in the novel. The changes they've made to Kinn are fucking delightful, and I'm adoring the added depth and emotional vulnerability they've given him.

In the novel, Vegas sexually assaults Porsche. Without penetration, but Kinn does find him in his underwear with marks all over his body. This was one of the parts I was most worried about them adapting in the show. (I will note here, I have not read past the official translation of 1/4 of the novel--which ends with my favorite spicy scene so far and god I hope they give it to us!--the rest I have sought out from fans so it's not a complete picture). The change they made was nice (as nice as beginning to assault someone can be...), and I'm glad we didn't have to go that far. They've clearly changed Vegas a bit, though how much is yet to be seen. I'm holding my judgment for now.

Kinn's internal monologue during the drugging scene is, well, rough to say the least. But that can be said for the novel as a whole. Reading it felt like reading a fic written by a teenager from the early 00's, and not in the good way. Kinn seems like a consent King, but after telling Porsche he'd stop if Porsche told him to, he doesn't. He fucks Porsche all night long, to the point of needing to take him to the hospital the next day because he's bleeding heavily and in a lot of pain. It has its hot moments, but it's rough and gross, and I'm so glad it's been changed in the show.

What the show gave us is stunning in comparison. What the show gave us is fucking beautiful imo. Porsche, after remembering Kinn kissed him, after witnessing him with his escort, after listening to Pete, Porsche takes all of that information and once again, leans into it. He goads Kinn, he flirts with him, he asks him questions not any normal bodyguard would ask. "If your brother didn't give me up, would you even think to take me back?" Any other guard wouldn't give a shit, but Porsche needs to know. There are so many reasons this could be, but I think the main factors are a need for approval, his newfound desire to protect this family, his attraction and curiosity for Kinn, and a need to prove himself as a competent man, which he is in all rights when he puts his mind to something.

There's also something to be said about an unspoken and underlying desire to be cared for, something Porsche has never really had for most of his life. He's always been the caretaker, for Che, for his uncle even. I know y'all noticed how good he is at taking care of Tankhun? It's because he's in a familiar roll, he knows how to do this with ease. Kinn on the other hand? Someone who doesn't need coddling and caring for? He doesn't know how to handle that, but after his initial rebellion, after seeing some different sides of Kinn, he wants back in. I think, subconsciously at this point, he sees how Kinn would take care of him and he wants it.

Yes, Porsche is drugged. Yes, being under the influence makes consent iffy, but it does not mean Porsche did not give his consent or wasn't able to. Porsche may not have given verbal consent, what he did do is give consent in every other possible way, and that is what Kinn responded to. Porsche joked with Kinn about wanting to see him naked, playfully slapped his hands away, and each time Kinn respectfully pulled back. Those examples are a clear lack of consent, and Kinn responded appropriately to them. But as soon as Porsche changed gears so did Kinn, still yet with reluctance because of Porsche's state and also his brewing feelings. It wasn't one-sided, it was a push and pull on both ends.

I know there will be some who disagree with me, and that's fine. I'm pulling from my own experiences here, and what I saw in episode 4 was consensual and not rape in the slightest. I've done a lot of things in my 30+ years that I'm not proud of, certainly, but even fall-over drunk, even sky-high on drugs, I was able to give and deny consent. Was it a good idea? Of course not. Do I have regrets? Some. But being young and reckless, well, me and Porsche seem to have that in common. I mean, Porsche is in his early twenties, and my early twenties were quite literally a blur of alcohol, drugs, parties, and bad (but fun) decisions.

Porsche was high as a kite, but he was also coherent. Porsche was the one pulling Kinn in. Porsche was the one verbally and non-verbally saying yes, please, I know you want this, I want it too can't you see? Let me show you. Not to mention, no sugarcoating, having sex when you're high is fucking awesome and, frankly, I don't think this is a first for Porsche. Also, I want to mention, and this is really important, if you throw up while you're high it does sober you up a bit. It dampens the experience and brings you back into your mind. I can say this with absolute certainty, I've done it several times.

Another thing I want to point out in regard to consent is Porsche never once told Kinn no. Never once did he tell him to stop. Porsche was smiling constantly, he was taking initiative, he was undressing Kinn himself, he wanted all of what happened. Will he regret it the next day? Probably. We will have to wait and see. But bottom line, the show changed this scene for the better, a lot better.

Anyway, this was less of an analysis and more of a thought word vomit 'cause I've been wanting to talk about this scene for weeks now, and I'm also sick and tired of people saying it was rape in the tags. Kinn did not rape Porsche. Porsche gave non-verbal consent, and yes it is possible to give consent when under the influence, even if it's not a good idea. This is not the hill we need to be dying on. Let's wait for VegasPete for that, shall we?

So, how long was Pete in Vegas' torture dungeon before they moved to the safehouse? How long was Pete tied to that pillar? When was the last time Pete took a shower? Mans has been sweating profusely for a day or two at least and Vegas just... licks him? Sir, ya nasty. Good for you.

Let's (re)Read The Eye of the World! Chapter 35: Caemlyn

If you don't like spoilers, don't read this! Not just spoilers for the book (it has 53 chapters and a prologue), but spoilers for the whole series (it has fourteen prologues). Block the tags I'm using that have "spoilers" in them, go read the books, whatever. Just don't read this post.

This new chapter brings us a new chapter icon - the Lion of Andor. It's gonna be with us for all our Andor-related stuff, a term which here has jack shit to do with the Two Rivers because they're not really Andor! It does have to do with Caemlyn though, and the Trakands!

And the wall itself. The sheer, fifty-foot height of pale gray stone, streaked with silver and white, swept out in a great circle, curving to north and south till he wondered how far it must run. All along its length towers rose, round and standing high above the wall’s own height, red-and-white banners whipping in the wind atop each one. From inside the wall other towers peeked out, slender towers even taller than those at the walls, and domes gleaming white and gold in the sun.

This place would have just been a beautiful setting for the Last Battle, just saying. And absolutely tragic too, with the wall meant to keep things out probably being too effective at pinning people in.

“How can they find us among so many? Can’t you see it, you wool-headed idiot? We’re safe, if you ever learn to watch your bloody tongue!”

Rand is absolutely Done with Mat's shit and I'm glad, as now that he's done nursing Rand to health he will be spending as much time as possible being miserable to be around. Just gotta power through it.

Just as if they had no idea that there had been no spring yet this year and might be none. They did not see, Rand realized, could not or would not. Their eyes slid away from leafless branches, and they walked across the dead and dying grass without once looking down. What they did not see, they could ignore; what they did not see was not really there.

One of the benefits of forcing the countryside to grow food for your continued survival is that you can ignore it when the fields are shitty.

“I don’t know what he wants,” Rand said. “We’ve never seen him before.” It might even be the truth; he could not tell one Fade from another.

Rand's got them Aes Sedai lies down and he ain't even among them.

He did not know if Mat remembered what Thom had said about the Red Ajah—and the Black—but he surely did.

You were having a fever dream, Rand, so Mat can't remember it by definition. You know Thom doesn't like the Red Ajahs, he growled at their being mentioned, but he never actually mentioned the term except to say that you couldn't tell the difference between Ajahs because you're a country bumpkin.

I want to go home. Laugh if you want; I don’t care. What I wouldn’t give to have my mother blessing me out for something right now. It’s like weights on my brain; hot weights. Strangers all around, and no way to tell who to trust, if I can trust anybody. Light, the Two Rivers is so far away it might as well be on the other side of the world. We’re alone, and we’ll never get home. We’re going to die, Rand.

The sad thing is, he's right. They don't go home until after they die, if they do at all. I rather hope Mat never goes home, considering what he'd bring with him.

There were women with veils across their faces, women in stiff dresses as wide as the wearer was tall, women in dresses that left more skin bare than any tavernmaid he had seen.

I'm pretty sure that the emphasis on what women is wearing is Jordan being Jordan again, but since Rand is an 18 year old boy surrounded by more people than he's ever seen in his life before, it's not unrealistic. I do wonder what the dudes were wearing all the same.

A good many shops were fronted with tables displaying the cloth and cord, and Rand stopped at one. The red cloth was cheaper than the white, though he could see no difference apart from the color, so he bought that and the white cord to go with it, despite Mat’s complaints about how little money they had left.

Fascinating how the little coincidences add up in ways that don't even feel like plot armor. It's not even ta'veren helping him out exactly because it's not reality warping around him and shifting things in his wake, it's just that circumstances have built over the weeks in such a way that the only course of action he might pursue is the one that gets him where he needs to be.

The innkeeper was fat, he was pleased to see, a pink-faced man in a starched white apron, with graying hair combed back over a bald spot that it did not quite cover. His sharp eye took them in from head to toe, dusty clothes and bundles and worn boots, but he had a ready, pleasant smile, too. Basel Gill was his name.

Master Gill! He's one of those minor players who I really like a lot as we see his life go crazy from the world-shattering events play out around him. I hope he gets a nice new home in the rebuilt Caemlyn when all is said and done, he deserves a happy ending and kinda falls to the wayside in the last book.

Master Gill did not take his eyes off Rand. “Aye, I recognize it. I saw him play it often enough, and there’s not likely two like that outside a royal court.” The pleasant smiles were gone, and his sharp eyes were suddenly as sharp as a knife. “How did you come by it? Thom would part with his arm as soon as that flute.” ... “I’ll believe he’s dead,” the innkeeper said slowly, “when I see his corpse.”

He's smart and reasonably suspicious too. Can I marry him?

Master Gill chuckled dryly. “I know the man, that’s what. He’d jump into that kind of trouble, especially to help a couple of lads about the age of you. . . .” The reminiscence in his eyes flickered out, and he stood up straight with a chary look. “Now . . . ah . . . I’m not making any accusations, mind, but . . . ah . . . I take it neither of you can . . . ah . . . what I’m getting at is . . . ah . . . what exactly is the nature of your trouble with Tar Valon, if you don’t mind my asking?”

"Pinky promise you can't peel off my skin into a skein of yarn with your mind?"

And then Rand lies to him. I mean sure, he's so in denial that he doesn't get that he's lying, but it's the principal of the thing. Thank goodness Rand didn't make a habit of burning down inns.

Mat snorted. “For all I care, the ravens can take every Aes Sedai straight to Shayol Ghul!” “Watch your tongue,” Master Gill snapped.

I'd like to spend more time analyzing Gill's assessment of the current political situation of the city, what with the guards and the Whitecloaks each exacerbating the tense situation and helping build things to a powderkeg while a False Dragon is being paraded for the public to assure them that the status is very quo even though it's clear that it's not and people are going to start starving if something doesn't change in the weather or get slaughtered by another false Dragon if something doesn't change in the rate of saidin-channeling assholes, but I love him too much to do anything except say: <3

He wasn’t always a gleeman, you know, wandering from village to village and sleeping under a hedge as often as not. There was a time Thom Merrilin was Courtbard right here in Caemlyn, and known in every royal court from Tear to Maradon.

If I'm not mistaken, Thom did tell the boys he used to have more prestige than Gleeman. Not sure they had any cause to believe him though.

But Morgase was a young widow, and Thom was in his prime, then, and the Queen can do as she wishes is the way I look at it.

Feminism win: In this world, female monarchs can have sex with the man who killed her husband and the commonfolk just look the other way! About time Jordan made a change like this. Also note that Elayne was between two and four when this went down, so her vague memories aren't just plot contrivance but actually about what you'd expect, psychologically.

The other thing you can expect is that I'm done at the end of a chapter, so I'll see you next time for another Rand chapter. More importantly, it's a Loial chapter! Book's finally getting good, folks.

To Make a Fool of Death; The Vampire Rules

I mentioned yesterday that I wanted to make a post about the specifics of the worldbuilding in To Make a Fool of Death, and today is Worldbuilding Wednesday, so here it is! I'm still messing around with some ideas and things, but this is where I'm at right now. I'll be tagging the Vampire Club Taglist below!

First and foremost, it's important to note that To Make a Fool of Death began as a love letter to Tim Hutchings' 1,000 Year Old Vampire. I began writing Verity's story as a series of diary entries using that format, and I will be forever grateful to indie tabletop games and solo journaling games for allowing me that. Go check it out, if you get the chance!

Because of that, and because of a lot of my own biases towards vampire lore, a lot of what you're gonna see here is... pretty basic. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! However, there are a few things that I really love about Hutchings' vampire lore that I've decided to include and extrapolate on, because it makes this whole thing just so much more interesting for me.

I'm gonna talk in terms of Verity, mostly, because she's the main vampire we experience throughout the story (though there are a few more) and kinda go basic myth-by-myth, if y'all don't mind. If there's anything I miss or anything y'all have further questions about, please feel free to just ask me! I love talking about these guys, and will take any excuse to do it!

First Myth: Vampires can shapeshift into bats

True! I like this one, and so I decided to stick with it. Yes, Verity can turn into a bat. I feel like not enough vampire media utilizes this nowadays, most of them go straight for the mind-control powers. I get it, they're cool, I heavily considered them for a while (and they're present in Verity's original diary, but I've since edited them out) but turning into a bat is just so much cooler to me?

Second: Vampires cast no reflection

Also true! Listen, I know that this is based in the idea of pure silver having been used to make mirrors in the past and in the present is entirely irrelevant and wouldn't be the case, but there's just something so interesting and sad to me about a vampire not being able to check her reflection before she goes on a date. At around 350 years or so, Verity's gotten pretty good at knowing how she looks without mirrors, but still!!!

Third: Vampires cannot cross running water

False! Verity loves to travel, and does it frequently. She can go where she wants, when she wants, as long as it's at night (for personal reasons she stays away from churches, and Massachusetts.)

Fourth: Vampires are destroyed by sunlight

True! Sorta... Direct sunlight, yeah, fuck you, you're toast (HAH) because it will burn you to pieces Buffy-The-Vampire-Slayer style. HOWEVER. Indirect sunlight is fine! A day that is cloudy and gross and you can't see the sun in the sky because the rain is so thick? As long as you've got your long sleeves, parasol, sunglasses, etc, you'll be a-okay. Just keep an eye out for those changes in weather, you wouldn't wanna get caught outside with nowhere to turn...

Fifth: Vampires must sleep in their native earth/in a coffin

False! The Fool of Death vampires simply do not sleep at all, not in a coffin, not in the earth, not anywhere. They don't need to, they're designed to be the ultimate predators. Why sleep when you can hunt?

Sixth: Vampires are "undead"

True! You have to die to become a vampire, and often, humans can be saved from the cold embrace of death by getting turned into a vampire! The process of becoming a vampire will literally kill you and then bring you back, entirely changed. Vampires do not have a heartbeat, they do not have anything that would indicate that they "live" and they heal so fast that to cut one open and try to figure out what's going on inside would be entirely pointless (trust Verity here, she's tried to figure out her own anatomy via this process MORE THAN ONCE)

Seventh: Vampires must drink blood to survive

Hm... true, to a point. While Vampires do consume blood as their main source of food, it isn't impossible to go entirely without. However, the downside to this is that if you starve yourself long enough, eventually you enter what Verity refers to as the Blood Frenzy, which is where if there's blood around? You NEED to consume it. No ifs ands or buts, and you will consume it in the messiest, most immediate way possible. It really is best to just... not starve yourself here. And don't even start with the whole "animal blood" thing, no it doesn't work, it's the same as if a vampire were to try to eat a cheeseburger. It's gotta be human or nothing, babe.

Eighth: Vampires hate garlic

False! Vampires simply don't eat. They have no need to, and can't really... digest food in the same way that a human can. The same could be said for garlic as it could for all foods. They avoid them because there's just no point.

Ninth: Vampires cannot be killed/are immortal/invincible

False! While they're ALMOST invincible, they can still super die if you really really put your mind to it. The most effective way to go about it would be to behead the vampire, and then toss the body and the head into a big ol' fire (ideally a fire that you've pre-prepared, because you truly won't have that much time before the vampire wakes up again and starts trying to fix itself...) They'll only really burn if the body is in small enough pieces, though, so feel free to get creative!

Tenth: All vampires have sharp fangs with which to suck blood

Only halfway false. Most vampires do, yes, absolutely, without question. I think they're sexy. However, what I will say is this. All vampires have some sort of "mark" that designates them as one of their kind, and they can procure more "marks" the more inhuman acts they commit. The most common first "mark" that appears upon turning is yes, fangs, for almost everyone, but it's sort of like a genetic trait. Not everyone gets them. Other examples of "marks" like this are Verity's bright red eyes (which Benevolence received when she was turned) or various sort of stains on the skin (like magical evil tattoos that don't do anything). Sometimes they also present as indications of the way you were originally killed (the two dot scars on the neck, for example, appear on some, or the faint ghosts of other scars that have remained past the change from human to vampire.)

Talk about a character you like in theory but not in any interpretation or depiction, that is, character you like as a character but dont think they are fit to be in hetalia

I think Yao/Ch!na is a really interesting dude. Ancient man, seen a lotta shit, been through a lotta different styles of government. China has a long and rich history you could do quite a bit with. I took two classes on it in undergrad and, while I don't remember a lot of the details now of who did what/why/when, I found it immensely enlightening from a 'why China is what is is today' perspective, which is what I ultimately got. I don't write him for that reason and, honestly, don't know how I'd fit him into what I'm writing unless I pivoted to making Lutz and Al main characters (which I'm not). I would love some good recs from people who read historically-based stuff that includes Yao. This applies for In/dia too for much the same reasons. What does it mean to be so old when you're immortal? How do you avoid apathy? How do you keep life interesting? Could also go into weightier topics with them as well - how it feels to have been both colonizer and colonized, not sure if it applies to In/dia as well but certainly Yao - but the writer would have to be knowledgeable and skilled enough to pull it off. I don't think your generic fanfic author can - I get nervous about publicly toeing the line myself

I used to be an Alfred and Arthur stan. They were my favorite characters in the entire series!!! They had the benefit of being the countries I'm most familiar with because, if you haven't heard, I got that dual citizenship dudes. Now, don't get me wrong, I still enjoy writing them whenever they appear naturally and have a lot of Thoughts on how they should be characterized, what their relationships with each other/everyone else should be, etc but they're not the main focus of 90% of my fics now. They're guest stars that I love to have on set (goddamn that's trite). As for who I don't like, I've never been a Matthew person. I think it's doing a disservice to an entire country to just have his personality be 'forgettable' and 'soft-spoken.' Which like yeah sure, I follow people who have done more with him and have made him an actually interesting character (credit to Foxholes, whose url changed and now I can't find them and don't wanna tag their history blog), but beyond the one or two characterizations of him, I don't care. Man smells like stale bong water

Eh, I'm gonna plead the fifth on that one. I don't wanna gripe about specific fans because there's good and bad in every subset. Plus, no reason to go hurting feelings. Though those Gilbo stans can be real freaks. Who the fuck likes a country called Prussia?

Hmm, interesting question. All the major nations don't bother me and make sense for why they're there. I also appreciate HRE being around, but I'm not crazy about a lot of things about his characterization. I especially hate the bad Italian accent he has in the English dub. Have never gotten that because, as Voltaire once put it, that empire ain't Roman. I think there's a lotta cool stuff you can do with HRE (@kisamesopelagic 's Karl is awesome and parts of theirs has served as inspiration for mine, who tends to linger just-offscreen) but the canon one is very meh. As for one's who I don't think belong point blank period, the entirety of the micronations. I have a hard time buying that Sealand is out here running around like a menace but state, provinces, prefectures, etc aren't. A fucking rusty ass fort in the middle of the Atlantic versus Quebec? Get outta here dude. Plus, besides some of their designs, all their personalities grate on my nerves. A whole ass African continent with next to no characters depicted but yay we got Kugelmugel. Jfc

okayokay so lmk s3 was roller coaster and a half and I have analysis's and theories to make.

Red son and Mei:

We r defo gonna see more of them together as Red son is gonna b helping Mei control the true fire so i find thats gonna be interesting as Red was kinda the person who had to deal with it before Mei. Im looking forward to seeing those to interact and become better friends!

Macaque:

He's a tricky one, cause he def has room to redeem especially now that's he free from LBD's control (see source 1) but I also think that because of his past with SWK he may be hesitant to do so, maybe afraid he'll be left behind again (I don't know much abt his past so don't @ me) But after seeing his face (see source 2)when hearing that MK won't leave Mei behind may show him that MK isn't like SWK and won't abandon him. I also think he may get along with Tang, because as I and others noticed he's the only one Macaque addressed by his name. I see him as the same thing Red son was like; uneasy to trust and only really having one friend (4 Red son it's Mei and 4 Macaque its Tang maybe)

Sun Wukong (Monkey king):

I'm generally excited for SWK's part in this story, with him leaving to fight LBD by himself and trying to push everyone away in order to "protect them" and his really stupid plan. I feel like he's gonna be forced to accept the fact he needs help in fighting LBD. I also think that he's gonna have to rescue Mk- from his own stupid mistake (leaving 2 be on his own). Im half hoping that he fights Mk and Nezha as they try to stop him from doing what he's doing. Needless to say I'm intrigued in his part of this story.

Mk and Nezha:

I don't have much to say about these two besides the fact I'm looking forward to the two (hopefully) bonding and trying to stop SWK from himself and his stupid plans. I reckon Nezha is gonna be a comfort to MK about all the stuff that's currently going on and the fact his mentor is trying to push him away.

Tang:

Why'd I give him his own spot? Well, my friends it's because with what I assume are powers (I got this from his little fight with Macaque and him being able to complete the ceremony- see source 3&4) he'll finally be able to leave his shell as the main background character and become a main character in the series, I also think that he'll be one of the few Macaque trusts and even helps him with his abilities. I am really looking forward to seeing Tang stepping out and becoming a vital part of this story. And he doesn't I'll sue.

Mei:

SHE gets her own spot cuz I ain't done with her yet. In s4 I'm looking forward to seeing Mei try and control the true fire and hopefully end LBD. Also I'm looking forward to her interactions with Red son and maybe his family, I want them to see her and notice how negatively the true fire has effected her and kinda be like 'aight she's our child now' (also 2 me I see Red sone and Mei as brother and sister :D ) I rlly want those two to become really goof friends!!

Red son:

This one'll be short, I want to see him become good friends with Mei maybe even see her a little sister of sorts (not that he'll admit it) I also want to see him "join" the good guys, he'll say he hasn't but everyone; including his parents know he kinda has.

Pigsy, Tang and Sandy:

In s4 I feel we may not see a lot of them but seeing as they are the ones going after Mei we may see a couple episodes focused on them. I want to see wholesome interactions with a minor fighting a demon or two. I also wanna see them maybe help Tang with his newfound abilities(?). When/if they find Mei I wanna see sobbing because they've missed her so much. I just wanna see these three be good friends, that's all.

SWK & Macaque's relationship:

These two. Omg these two. They have such a deep relationship full of distrust. I feel if Macaque tags along with MK and Nezha he'll slowly warm up to Wukong, not fully trusting him again but to the point where he'll no longer wanna kill SWK. I want these two to have a scene either as the sun is rising and falling and they'll kinda just- talk; with tears. I want to see Wukong try to apologise for everything. I want these two to slowly become friends again, I feel there is so much potential with these two in season four and I want to see it.

Overall S4 theory?:

Overall for S4 I'm looking forward to seeing MK and SWK to interact especially since he's going to be an antagonist of sorts, this is gonna affect MK negatively in the long run and may even make him trust his mentor less. I want SWK to notice this and apologise and finally come the the realisation he isn't gonna be able to defeat LBD by himself and learns he can't fight all battles by himself. In S4 I wanna see a Macaque redemption arc I want to see him become half friends with Wukong. Honest to god if they don't get this I'll write my own story where this happens.

I'm not sure if this season will show the defeat of LBD or not, I hope it doesn't because this story has a lot of potential, maybe with having SWK kidnapped by LBD and the others having to rescue him and face the final boss. LBD. It would show everyone and Mei dealing the final blow to her- maybe even needing backup from the others. I'm getting off track. Anyways, I can't wait for S4 to release and all the adventures that follow. Lego monkie kid is a roller coaster and a half and it's slowly becoming two rollercoasters.

Extra note:

In the episode the get to the temple everyone (minus MK) says how familiar the place feels- this further proves my point that Tang may have magical abilities, he may be a descendent from the monk (idk his name sghsgshs)

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I'm really looking forward to seeing how all of S4 plays out and the ending it's gonna bring us. But in the end everything I've written here is just a theory.... A GAME THEORY!

Ok, before you release your review of Blazar… I’m going to send you mine. Correction: I already have. I sent it to you before I’ve even finished writing the first paragraph of the qn.

Basically, I want you to tell me your thoughts on my review.

Additionally, I want you to tell me, in as much detail as possible, why you felt Blazar had a boring plot. Please try to give me at least 7 major reasons and 5 minor reasons why it was boring for you, and here’s the thing: not one of them can be just ‘it was episodic’. If you can’t do that, then I want you to tell everyone why you think episodic seasons are so bad, when the Monster of the Week style has plain and simply worked for Blazar.

(Also, I feel like I’m being overly aggressive. Just understand that I liked Blazar a heck of a lot and don’t understand how you were going ‘it’s a boring show’ the whole time.)

Oh hell nah I ain't reposting that whole thing here, I guess mainly your review kinda makes your standards kinda ambiguous? Cause you said it's better than Trigger, Decker and Mebius but how exactly? Or what even were the positives and negatives of the aforementioned series that you're comparing Blazar to, that Blazar did better neccessarily? That you're even giving a rating for in the end?

Otherwise the entire review was just you talking about Blazar as a series alone despite you trying to do a comparative analysis which was what you tried to do in an incomplete fashion in the beginning as the analysis never really came, so this bascially made your entire 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th paragraph entirely moot to begin with

As for your 4th paragraph, that dosent neccessarily make both of our stances mutually exclusive tho? Like of course most would prefer a clear and consistent theme, but you do realize that both an episodic and a non-episodic narrative can achieve that no? So that point was neither here nor there

Plus, episodic series is essentially just a preference, it can "work" for ANY series, but what I said specifically, is because if its episodic, this puts a restriction on each (or 2) episode having to focus on something different, with little sense of continuity and more often than not, takes the focus away from the Ultra itself, which again, is another preference I have for series. It all depends on what story you chose to tell for an entire season, which I personally felt it could be better for Blazar since he comes from a new origin (M421) with a unique species characteristic that we've never seen before (Being able to fuse with entire kaiju + using kaiju powers on their own, unlike X, which has to go through an intermediary), so I felt that Blazar, having a unique character setting was utterly wasted in this series (again, focusing on the Ultra is my personal preference)

I think u can search for commentaries in the first 8 episodes where I went in detail into this and more, plus iirc, I got alot of asks about this from different followers giving their own perspectives on and raising this issue very early on as well if u want more context

Also I was asked quite a few times about my thoughts on Blazar even prior before that, can check those out via the #asks tag, which I created for purposes like these

Aka, I finally realized that i didn't make an intro yet, so I'll make one now. (Below the cut because I dunno how long this will get)

A little about me:

Hello! My name is Sam. However, I also commonly go by Wolf or Purple online. I am 18 years old, and I am a hobby artist. I don't really do art with the thought in mind to get big and popular with it. I would rather just make art for myself and then post it online for anyone who is willing to look at it.

I am mostly active on Toyhou.se or Discord. However, if you don't have either of those, then I am most likely to be reached on Tumblr. Here are my other socials, though, for anyone interested.

Username origin:

I came up with my username in 2020.

Purple = one of my fave colors (i have 3 fave colors, purple, brown, and black. However, purple was the one that sounded the best when trying to pronounce my whole username)

FNaF = fave game at the time (still fave franchise, though I prefer Hollow Knight as of right now)

Pasta = my favorite dish at the time (by now, it's ramen)

Nickname Origins:

Sam = is my name, not a nickname lmao

Purple = because people commonly use that for a short version of my user (who tf would wanna say/write my whole username, anytime I am mentioned in a convo, lmao)

Wolf = I can't actually remember where that nickname comes from. I just know that at some point, I always got called Wolf (mostly on Discord), so I just ran with it, i suppose. My best guess is that it happened because my fursona is a wolf.

What kind of art I'll post:

I am by heart an OC artist, meaning I draw and post mostly my own OCs, or art I made of someone else's OC(s). I rarely ever draw fanart, but who knows, maybe ya'll will catch me do some fanart (on rare occasions).

I usually draw animals (anthro and feral). However, recently, i have been attempting to draw more human/oids to better my art skilly for those as well.

I am also tempted to do little "furry-fied" versions of the Obey Me cast. (Since I can't draw humans, I might as well turn them into animals LMAO) Though I am also tempted to do re-imagines/headcanon designs for the regular humanoid cast, as an attempt to show what I headcanon/re-imagine them to look like. Can't make any big promises about that, though, as I mentioned, I ain't that great at drawing humanoids.

I may also try to draw what I imagine the Warrior Cats look like. Because why not, I love the book series.

I may attempt drawing some more complex/detailed chars (like robots or smth). However, i also aren't too great with that, so please bear with me and my (slow) learning progress. (Yes, I am a slow learner)

Review :

This book in one word: better. You have no idea how apprehensive I was before reading this. I read rwrb (written by the same author) and I did not enjoy it. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. The writing style was just not my type. And as I was reading the book I was just praying and hoping that the next chapter would be better but I was not given such a miracle. It is even more disappointing since I was really looking forward to that book and even bought two of her books without even reading the first. So I honestly had no choice. I went into this book waiting to be slapped with everything I did not enjoy from rwrb. What I got instead was a found family trope with complex characters and an intriguing romance that was also wholesome.

This book excelled where rwrb did not. The characters were just top tier and had more personality. The side characters had the perfect (maybe a tad bit more but I ain't complaining) amount of development. I am a huge sucker for found family tropes especially for a rag tag group with questionable traits. And this was it. This was everything I ever wanted. Everything just felt so perfect. I would read an entire spin-off series about them just living together. It's just extremely entertaining.

The romance does lack when compared to the family but it is still infinitely better. The main issue I had with this romance was that I did not really feel or understand the reason behind why they were the main romance. Like I really don't enjoy the love at first sight trope (except in rare cases) but this just did not do it for me. And the other problem was that there was just not enough wholesome/homely scenes. I mean it could be because they were stuck on a train but I wanna blame it on the earlier mentioned lack of connection or the lack of reason for romance. This one factor however was the one thing I liked about rwrb. And other that those problems the romance is actually pretty good. The characters in the romance are definitely better than the romance itself though.

The sci-fi part did get my brain a bit twisted because a) I don't live in NYC and b) I don't know how trains/subways work and it has been a long ass time since I've seen one up close. So it was difficult to comprehend but I understand the general notion of what was happening. It did take away my enjoyment during the Eureka moments though. Regardless it was still fun and extremely useful because I'm pretty sure if there was no sci-fi part I wouldn't have enjoyed this book as much as I did.

To conclude it is a solid book. It introduced me to one of the most wholesome families in existence and does a great job at pacing the development. Truth be told I am restricting myself so much right now because if I let myself go I am just gonna ramble about each and every character and all the reasons I love them so, just know that reading this book will not be a waste of your time.

- Sarge finished tightening the screw as he took a deep breath of relief.

(Sarge) "Ha, there we go! Simmons, how's it looking?"

(Simmons) "Systems are good to go, sir!"

- Grif walked out the base and groaned, the noise of the construction annoying him greatly.

(Grif) "Jesus Christ, what is the racket?!"

(Sarge) "Grif, over here on the double! Today, we're going to make Red Team history!"

- Sarge pointed at the Warthog, though there seemed to be nothing special about it.

(Grif) "...All that goddamn noise just to tweak the warthog?"

(Sarge) "Of course not moron! Our old baby can drive us through dimensions!"

(Grif) "...What?"

(Simmons) "Honestly, I don't have a clue either. He just told me to install it on the radio."

(Sarge) "Now, everyone hop in! We're going to Fodlan!"

(Grif) "Fodlan?! What the fuck are you doing there?"

(Sarge) "For too long our series has been ignored, Private! Hijacked by all those high hormonal teenagers and their fancy magic and shit! We're gonna go back in time and get some of that sweet main character action!"

(Simmons) "Sir if I may?-"

(Sarge) "I didn't ask-"

(Simmons) "The last time we did this and erased the blues, it messed with command really bad. Are you sure we should-"

(Sarge) "Of course I'm sure, now shut up and get the seat!"

(Grif) "Ugh, whatever. Let me drive three feet so we can get this over with, it isn't going to work."

- Grif and Simmons hopped on the Warthog while Sarge took shotgun.

(Sarge) "Now, boot her up!"

- Grif rolled his eyes under the helmet as he turned the radio on.

[Red Team Warthog Theme]

(Sarge) "Now, let's-"

- Sarge was interrupted as the Warthog exploded into a violent blue light, blowing Simmons backwards.

(Simmons) "SARGE, GRIF!"

(Grif) "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK-"

(Sarge) "SON OF A BI-"

- The two were ripped apart into atoms as the Warthog disappeared and the music interrupting abruptly...

- He noticed it was nighttime, and turning around into the wall they crashed in, it appeared to be a normal house.

(Sarge) "Feel bad for the poor fella who lives in here."

(Girl's Voice) "Guys? Was that you?"

- Sarge cocked his shotgun and pointed it at the direction the voice, it coming out of a truck.

(Grif) "Hey, didn't that sound familiar?"

- A petite girl walked out the truck's back and screamed when she saw the two of them.

(Rise) "OH MY GOD!"

(Sarge) "Hey, you're that kid from the whatchamacall it? Person Users?"

(Rise) "A-And you are?"

(Sarge) "Come on, you know us! Everyone does!"

(Rise) "..."

(Grif) "The Reds? And Blues? Does that ring a bell kid?"

(Rise) "I...No."

(Sarge) "Well, it's high time we change that! Now why are you parked outside this house?"

(Rise) "Hunting for ghosts. Well, hunting is the wrong word, more like just finding out what it is."

(Grif) "I'll sit in the van then-"

(Sarge) "You wish, fatso! We're going in and blasting this son of a bitch!"

- Sarge cocked his shotgun and marched straight in. Grif sighed as he tagged along while Rise grabbed a radio.

(Rise) "Uh, guys? We got two guys entering the house."

- Sarge kicked the door open and looked around.

(Yu) "Woah!"

(Claude) "Yikes!"

(Lysithea) "OH GODDESS-"

(Sarge) "Ah, finally a true familiar face! Claude, it's your old pal Sarge!"

- Everyone was quiet when they looked at each other in confusion.

(Sarge) "...You ain't got a single clue who we are do ya?"

(Claude) "Not in the slightest."

(Sarge) "Welp. We tried. Start the radio again, Grif! We're out of here."

(Grif) "Fiiiiine."

- As soon as Grif reached for the door, it slammed on him.

(Grif) "What the fuck?"

- The lights flickered off and on rapidly, heartbeats beginning to become audible.

(Lysithea) "A HUNT?!"

(Yu) "Uh oh, we gotta hide!"

(Claude) "Right beh-"

(Lysithea) "BEHIND YOU!"

(Sarge) "Out of the way, son!"

- Sarge grabbed Lysithea's head and shoved her to the floor, aiming his shotgun right behind Claude as a ghostly figure reached for his neck.

(Sarge) "HAHA-"

BLAM!

The ghost and Claude's limbs flew into several directions as the sound of buckshot rang across the house.

The walls now firmly painted with ethereal and Golden Deer blood, the hunt stopped, leaving everyone stunned.

(Sarge) "Hands off our student you-YEEEEESH."

- Lysithea and Yu's eyes were wide open staring at the mangled mess that was their friend.

(Rise's Voice) "Aw man, did another ghost get him? I'm seeing his vitals dropped to 0!"

(Sarge) "...Start the car, Grif."

(Grif) "O-On it sir."

- Grif and Sarge ran to the Warthog and immediately started the engine once more, teleporting out of existence...

Isekai Crossing

[The Roost - Animal Crossing OST]

- Megumi stirred the sugar in her coffee as the steam slowly came off it, giving off a lovely aroma.

(Brewster) "Coo...You should drink it before it gets cold, Megu-nee."

(Megumi) "Ah, I have been stirring it for a while, haven't I?"

- She finally took a sip of the drink as she looked into empty space, reminiscing.

(Megumi) "I was just thinking about something from back home."

(Brewster) "...Your real home?"

(Megumi) "Yes. I remember trying to put on a suit back then, thinking I would look more professional than the purple dress you see now."

(Brewster) "...It not your style?"

(Megumi) "Oh, it certainly is...Let's just say um...My size isn't what it used to be."

(Brewster) "...Perhaps you could ask the Able sisters to-"

CRASH!

[AGGRESSIVE POLKA]

- Megumi screamed as she leapt into the air as a Warthog suddenly materialized into existence, breaking and clipping through the roof of the cafe.

- Brewster simply looked up, his annoyance not conveyed through his glasses.

(Sarge) "Agh, son of a bitch!"

(Grif) "Holy fucking shit, how are we not dead?!"

(Megumi) "W-WHAT IN THE?!"

(Sarge) "Well well, if it isn't the teacher! Mary, right?"

(Grif) "Sarge do you ever remember the name of the people we existed alongside with?"

(Sarge) "If they're not with Red Team, then they're not important enough!"

- Sarge hopped of the Warthog's passenger side and held out a hand.

(Sarge) "You do the American education system proud, Mary!"

(Megumi) "B-But, I'm not-"

- Sarge grabbed her hand and shook it aggressively.

(Sarge) "Anyways, we need your help! You're one of the most popular characters that's existed on this blog, and we need you to promote us!"

(Megumi) "What are you even talking about?!"

(Sarge) "We'll explain on the way, now come on!"

- Sarge tossed her up into the Warthog as she screamed, and flicked the radio knob, disappearing.

- When the Warthog disappeared, the ceiling dropped a massive slab of concrete that broke the family table.

(Brewster) "...Not coo, dudes."

[Twice Stricken - Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers OST]

ARR: Part 3

- Lisa raised her book and a concentrated spell shot out, the strength of it rushing it forward as it collided into more trees and away from everyone.

- When Lisa turned her attention back to the Hypostasis, she realized it had formed two giant walls.

- Lisa’s eyes widened as she tried to brace herself for the shock, the walls closing on her and the force sending her into a tree.

- Lisa’s body tumbled onto the floor and out in the open, her vision going in and out from the attack.

(Kairos) “Lisa!”

- The Hypostasis began to form it’s drill shape again while Kairos and Elizabeth rushed to Lisa’s defense, shooting whatever spell they could as it began flying to them.

- Musse and Towa tried to help with their guns, but they were having no effect.

- As it got closer, Kairos tried to pick up Lisa to move her, joined by Elizabeth as it got dangerously close to tearing through them.

- Although there were no trees nearby for it to be a hazard, they still couldn’t move fast enough with Lisa in hand to get out of the way safely.

(Familliar boy’s voice) “COMING THROUGH KIDS!”

- Kairos and Elizabeth were tackled by Kazuma while Aigis got in front of Lisa.

(Aigis) "ATHENA-"

[AGGRESSIVE POLKA]

- The Warthog blinked into existence blasting music as it fell on top of the Hypostasis, crushing it underneath the weight.

- Aigis and everyone else looked shocked and almost had to resist moving on instinct due to the fight they were in.

(Sarge) "What the devil did we just land on?!"

(Grif) "Ah shit, did it hit our wheels?!"

(Kazuma) "The fuck!?"

(Elizabeth) "I-Is that one of your friends?"

(Aigis) "I believe I would have remembered music this obnoxious."

(Sarge) "Oh hey, you're that robot girl from the Person Users!"

(Aigis) "...I am a Person User, yes...?"

(Grif) "Great. Megumi, tell 'em how good red team is so Sarge can let us go home."

(Kazuma, Towa, Aigis) "MEGUNEE?!"

- Towa and Musse came out of cover and saw a terrified Megunee sitting on the turret side of the Warthog.

(Megumi) "When did you all get here?"

- No one said anything, not sure how to respond.

(Kazuma) "Is...that really you?"

(Megumi) "Huh? Do you not remember coming to the island?"

(Sarge) "We're Red Team! We were with you back before we had to make the big move!"

(Grif) "Sarge, they think you're fucking insane."

(Kazuma) "Finally you're making sense-"

(Grif) "And god, I forgot how much of an asshole you were."

- Kazuma shoved his finger to Grif's mask.

(Kazuma) "Don't start picking fight with me lardass! I don't even know who you are!"

(Sarge) "Eh, fuck it. Lost cause, NEXT!"

- Sarge turned the radio knob and the Warthog blinked out of existence.

(Musse) "...Instructors?"

(Towa) "Well, that was...Something."

(Aigis) "Let us assess the damage and then...Where is Kazuma?"

Attack on Titan AU

[ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn ＜WMId＞- Hiroyuki Sawano]

- The Titans flooded into the Trost district while civilians fled, trampling over each other to escape the impending doom.

- Jean, Connie, and Sasha flew through the roofs of the buildings on their 3DM gear.

(Jean) "Shit, they're getting in!"

(Sasha) "Do you think Captain Rean and the others will get here in time?!"

(Connie) "They freakin' better, or we're dead!"

- Overhead they saw a gray blur fly past them at startling speeds.

- A Titan that was approaching their location suddenly spasmed violently, a fountain of blood shooting out as it fell over.

- Right behind that Titan, was the Silver Titan.

(Connie) "H-HOLY SHIT!"

(Sasha) "I-Is that the-?!"

(Jean) "That thing is buying us time to get the civilians out, we need to hurry!"

(Connie) "T-Titans on our left!"

- The three of them drew their blades out, ready to fight.

- The Titan slowly walked towards an escaping child, tripping over herself as she was covered in dirt and blood.

(Girl) "P-PLEASE HELP!"

(Jean) "Hang on, kid!"

- Jean fired his hooks out to the building behind the Titan and flew off, Sasha and Connie quickly joining him.

- As they prepared to flank the Titan, their hooks suddenly gave out and causing them to crash onto the floor.

(Sasha) "W-What the heck just-"

[AGGRESSIVE POLKA]

- The Warthog came flying out of the street, making the child dive onto the floor as it went soaring overhead.

- It crashed into the Titan's legs and making it trip, it's head landing into the building on the right.

- The Warthog made a screeching halt as it barely avoided hitting the three cadets.

(Sarge) "Oh great, now where the heck are we?!"

(Grif) "How the fuck should I know?!"

- Their visors immediately faced the cadets, who were staring at them wide-eyed.

- Connie and Sasha were wide eyed and jaws agape while Jean had the most confused expression anyone saw.

(Megumi) "...H-Hello?"

(Kazuma) "HOLY FUCK WE'RE ALIVE!"

- Everyone screamed as he came crawling out from underneath the Warthog.

(Kazuma) "How the fuck are you two doing that?!"

(Sarge) "Doing what?"

(Kazuma) "The fucking teleport- TURN THAT MUSIC OFF!"

- Kazuma punched the radio, finally giving a moment of peace.

(Kazuma) "The fucking teleporting! How?!"

(Grif) "Actually, that's a good question. How did you make that?"

(Sarge) "I told you, that's what I was working on earlier! We interrupted your little beauty sleep to show the space time continuum who it's daddy is!"

- Megumi got off the Warthog and ran towards her.

- Finally, they seemed to snap out of it.

(Connie) "Wha-HEY! LADY, IT'S NOT SAFE OUT HERE!"

- Sasha and Connie ran after her.

(Megumi) "Are you okay?"

(Child) "Y-Yes..."

(Connie) "You need to get into the interior, here!"

- Connie offered his hand before everyone froze, seeing the legs of the Titan start to move.

(Kazuma) "Uh, what is that?"

(Sasha) "TITAN!"

(Grif) "Finally, I get to use this!"

- Grif hopped onto the turret and squeezed the trigger, unloading bullets onto the Titan.

(Grif) "EAT SHIT, ASSHOLE!"

- Kazuma and Sarge stepped back as they pulled out their weapons, the eyes slowly drifting down at them.

(Kazuma) "Blegh! So goddamn creepy!"

(Sarge) "Come on, Scum-uza! LIGHT THAT DIRTBAG UP!"

(Kazuma) "...What did you just-"

- Sarge cocked his shotgun and fired, realizing that it did nothing.

- Jean shook off his shock and used his 3DM to hook onto the building above them.

(Jean) "CONNIE, SASHA!"

- Sasha grabbed Megumi and the child and flew to a safe distance while Connie grabbed his blades and launched into the air, gaining momentum.

(Sarge) "Grif, get the Warthog outta here!"

(Grif) "What? But I never get to use the turre-"

- The Titan's leg kicked the Warthog into the air, Grif hanging onto the turret for dear life as he was screaming.

- The wires of Connie's 3DM hooks got snagged into the Warthog, and dragged him with it.

(Connie) "WAGH?!"

- Sasha set Megumi and the Child down as she reached for her blades.

- Before her eyes went wide as the Warthog flew into her, miraculously not crushing her to paste as she was only hit by the glass part.

- Her gear misfired and wrapped around Megumi, dragging her with them.

(Sarge) "DAMN IT GRIF, YOU BETTER NOT RUIN THAT THING!"

- As it was flying off, Connie's face hit the radio knob, starting to phase them into nothing.

- Sarge and Kazuma quickly vanished into a beam of light, leaving Jean and the child to wonder what the hell happened.

- Eren could barely keep the jaws open as he slowly reached out one hand to Armin.

- Blood and tears began to blur his vision as his voice barely managed to go above a whisper.

- Before Armin could finish his sentence, the Warthog came flying out of nowhere and smashed the side of the Titan's head, crushing Eren in the process before it vanished.

- Grif was on the side of the Warthog while Connie's head was facefirst into the radio, Sasha almost passed out as her body floated above the water with the wires scattered messily.

- Megumi was trying not to throw up from being tossed around as she laid against the back, water hitting her in the face.

- Sarge and Kazuma teleported in the air and landed in the water.

(Kazuma) "BLAGH! BLEGH! GOT IN MY MOUTH!"

(Sarge) "Oh, a beach!...Where's the land? Grif! At attention!"

(Grif) "Yeah...J-Just...fucking hell my head...."

(Megumi) "N-N...No one's dead, right?"

(Connie) "GOD...I WISH I WAS..."

- Megumi poked her head out and helped Connie up onto his back.

- She reached for Sasha's arm before accidentally falling into the water herself.

- Megumi moved to rub the saltwater out her eyes before realizing something.

(Megumi) "Wha...?"

- She didn't have to. She could see perfectly fine underwater, and it was only then she remembered where this was.

(Megumi) "Planet 4546B?"

(Sarge) "Planet whatsitnow?"

(Kazuma) "W-Wait okay hold the phone, Megumi you've been to an alien planet before? Since when?"

(Megumi) "Well we all went here. Though from what you-...Er, another Kazuma told me, we've been here twice now."

(Sasha) "Ugh...-W-What the heck?! Why's there water everywhere?!"

(Connie) "OH SHIT, YOU'RE RIGHT!"

(Grif) "You guys never seen an ocean before?"

(Connie) "What the hell is an ocean?!"

- The Warthog rocketed into the air as a massive serpent grabbed it, pincers about to crush it.

- Megumi, Kazuma, and Sarge were flown off as Grif, Sasha, and Connie were caught on top.

- All three of them screamed as the Warthog was brought underwater, it beginning to short circuit while the pincers made the Warthog crush under pressure, the radio in the process sparking.

- It blinked everything, including the Reaper Leviathan out of existence.

(Sothis) "-And just what do you think you're doing, child?!"

(Child!Byleth) "Enjoying my day off?"

(Sothis) "Weren't you supposed to be helping Lysithea with her studies?!"

(Child!Byleth) "It's obvious that she doesn't want me there to train, so why would I bother?"

(Sothis) "Ugh, you are seriously lacking social cues!"

(Child!Byleth) "Says the kid who's been talking to only another kid all her life."

(Kazuma) "WHAT THE-...Byleth?"

- Everyone turned to face him.

(Sarge)" ...Why are you so small, son?"

- The Warthog began to short circuit again and disappeared, leaving the Reaper Leviathan to suffocate without the water.

- The Warthog teleported to a cold surface as snow gently fell onto everyone.

- Valimar was relatively unharmed as it tried to stand back up before being grabbed by Crimson.

- Kazuma and Megumi watched in horror as House Isekai was getting mauled by this mechanical monstrosity.

- Sasha and Connie's mouths remained open watching in horror as everything before them was too much for their brain to process.

(Grif) "Sarge, this is Part 4!"

(Sarge) "I have eyes underneath my eyebrows, numbskull! I think I turned it a bit too far into the future.-"

- Grif literally punched the knob, and everyone disappeared.

(Sarge) "Aw damn it, look what you did! You sent us too far back!"

(Grif) "H-Hey, don't blame me, I panicked!"

(Sasha) "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE?!"

(Makoto) "Are you guys the military?"

(Megumi) "With...all due respect, do we look like military?"

(Kyoko) "Erm...Could you at least tell us how you got in here?"

- Sarge used the stock of his shotgun to hit Makoto in the face.

- Sarge moved his hand and saw pink blood running out.

(Sarge) "HAHA! IT IS TRUE, YOU DO BLEED PEPTO BISMOL! Alright, getting us outta here, YOU GUYS SUCK BY THE WAY!"

- Sarge punched the button one final time, and disappeared.

(Kyoko) "Makoto, are you okay?"

(Makoto) "Ugh...No. No I'm not. Ultimate Lucky student my butt..."

- The Warthog mid teleportation stopped, and threw everyone into a vortex.

- Everyone screamed as they let go of the Warthog, Megumi disappearing into a pink mist while Kazuma's scream fluctuated as he exploded into dust.

- Sasha and Connie's 3DM gear malfunctioned and rocketed them towards into a fire, quickly vanishing.

- Sarge and Grif flew out and quickly appeared back at their base, the Warthog flying out, crashing and tumbling through the terrain and then finally exploded itself out of existence as the pieces went into several other AU's and timelines.

(Simmons) "Oh thank god you guys are alright!"

(Sarge) "Ah rats, we didn't accomplish our goal."

(Grif) "HOME! HOME SWEET FUCKING HOME!"

- Grif immediately ran back into the base while Simmons looked in confusion.

(Simmons) "So...how badly is the timeline fucked for us?"

(Sarge) "Eh, it'll survive...Probably. But as long as we get our AU back, we'll come out on top!"

(Simmons) "...Did we have to go through all that though? I mean, the fact we're even having this conversation means we didn't have to go through the timeline, we could've just waited! Besides, our part in the new House Isekai is about to come out!"

(Sarge) "..."

(Simmons) "..."

(Sarge) "...Simmons?"

(Simmons) "Yes sir?"

(Sarge) "Shut up."
