There was the sound of shuffling and the click-click of a walking stick, and a bent, elderly figure appeared in the gray, dead, dusty air.
"Groat, sir," it wheezed. "Junior Postman Groat, sir. At your service, sir. One word from you, sir, and I will leap, sir, leap into action, sir." The figure stopped to cough long and hard, making a noise like a wall being hit repeatedly with a bag of rocks. Moist saw that it had a beard of the short, bristled type, which suggested that its owner had been interrupted halfway through eating a hedgehog.

I’m enjoying sharing my tea time with everyone because I honestly have never been a fan of tea😅 growing up it was something that I just never had acquired the tastebuds for. My family would always try to get me to drink Oregano Tea for my menstrual cycle because it helped ease the pain, however when you’re starting out on tea Oregano is the last thing to try because it was disgusting!
I’ve been opening myself up to trying more teas and getting myself accustomed to the different tastes.
So thanks for letting me share my tea experiences with you! Send me recommendations of your favorite teas to try!!

Huge thanks again to @hthrrloooo for responding to my desperate ask the other day. I wish I’d had the energy to actually make it that day, but I finally did yesterday, totally forgetting that it also needs to be chilled overnight to separate the fat.
I’m just back from the most aggravating dog walk ever, hangry, wiped out, and all snotty again from the cold air, and am sipping a mug of this pure medicine with minced fresh cilantro and I can feel it working on my battered immune system. I was too lazy to slice the chili pepper but gave the mug a dash of Aleppo pepper flakes
Here’s hoping it helps with my shitty attitude, too. I think next weekend I will do a big stockpot full of this and freeze containers to have on hand for whatever next garbage germ invades my worn out system. My ears are still completely fucked with constant tinnitus and feeling like they’re full of water. Methinks a bath and maybe some Mullein-Garlic Oil drops at bedtime. I really want a hot toddy but that’s a slippery slope I know I shouldn’t climb.

When allergies start to hit, like today, I usually add a pinch of cayenne pepper to my food as a nasal decongestant, and use my garlic infused honey to soothe my sore throat caused by post nasal drip.
The honey can be taken alone or mixed into an herbal tea. (It's recommended that you eat the garlic cloves, particularly when you have a cold, but it's not 100% necessary if you don't want to.)
Tumblr media
Garlic Infused Honey Recipe
1 clean and dry jar with lid
1 head of garlic, peeled and crushed or minced
Honey
I hate mincing garlic, so I usually just crush it with the flat side of my knife and add it to the jar. A garlic press can also be used.
Add enough honey to cover the garlic.
Screw the lid on tight and store it in a dark, cool place. Mix the honey once a day (I usually just turn the jar upside down).
Should be ready to use in a few days. Honey will be thin and amber in color.
Use to soothe sore throat caused by cough, illness, or allergies.

Yellow Goblin Tonic
We've all been there, snivelling and coughing, as hoarse as a goblin. This is my go-to cure for minor ailments like colds and coughs, which I drink at least twice a day when I'm feeling under the weather. This isn't the most delicious recipe I've written, but it's bound to give your immune system a kick!  Down the hatch!
You will need:
2 cups water
Juice of 4 big lemons
200g ginger root, peeled and chopped into chunks
1/2 cup honey or brown sugar
3 tsp turmeric powder (or 1 small turmeric root, peeled and chopped)
2 tsp cayenne powder
2 tsp ginseng syrup (optional)
Method:
Bring the water to a boil and add all your ingredients except for the honey. Boil on full heat for 3-5 minutes before bringing down to low heat.
Leave to simmer uncovered to reduce for 10-15 minutes, stirring periodically. If the mixture begins to dry out, top up with water.
Continue to simmer after the first top up and reduce until you are left with about one cup of concentrated liquid. It should be bright yellow and very potent!
Remove from the heat and strain the liquid into a bottle or jar. Add the honey and stir through thoroughly. Best served as concentrated shots, but also good when diluted slightly with half a cup of warm water per shot.

*Deidara walks into the living room*
Konan: Dei? Why are you holding your arm like that?
Deidara: I accidentally burned it on the stove, hm.
Sasori: A burn? Meaning you’re in pain, yes? Tsk; just let me turn you into a puppet already! You’ll never feel pain ever again, brat!
Itachi: That’s a bit extreme; just rub some butter on it.
Tobi: Um … Tobi used most of the butter for his corn. *holds up the near-empty tub* It’s got some corn pieces in there but it should be fine …
Kakuzu: Hmph; butter as a cure is an old wives tale. You need ice. I don’t think we have any but you can go stand in the walk-in freezer until you feel better. Just take your phone so you can call to remind us to let you back out.
Hidan: Fuck the cold … just cut the damn arm off! *holds up his scythe* I’d be happy to help, blondie!
Zetsu: Isn’t animal spit supposed to heal skin irritation such as burns? I’m almost positive I heard that somewhere …
Kisame: Will half-animal spit work the same? Deidara! Come here!

I wish people were less stupid about natural remedies and home remedies because some of them work so well but not in an "essential oils cure cancer" way but in a "they can relieve symptoms and, if it's a more serious illness, can be used in addition to real medicine or until you can access real medicine" way. Not even to mention how many meds are just optimised versions of natural remedies (synthetic penicillin vs mould)

Who wants to see something hilarious from an old book I have?
On May 1st 2007 I moved into an apartment building and a friend helped me pick up some furniture and such from a second-hand store, a Bibles for Missions. One thing I found there was this old book.
Tumblr media
I paid a whole dollar for it. It's 900+ pages of complete and total bullshit home remedies, with things like how to cure freckles, how to properly fumigate a house with burning sulphur, treat illnesses with various roots and herbs, and how to cure sickness with the topical application of coal oil or kerosene:
Tumblr media
The last section of the book is on clean family living, with advice on how to pick a wife, how to raise and educate children, and some, uh, some weird stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's also an absolutely incredible section on the dangers of self-pollution and sexual indulgence causing a loss of vitality.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's even a delightful illustration of the harrowing toll this horrid practice takes on the young!
Tumblr media
Grinding your hog causes softening of the brain. You all read it here!

ok this is the current snake oil making the rounds. Please reblog this so people are aware
Eating a handful of apricot seeds every day is DANGEROUS they're literally full of CYANIDE 😭😭 people are saying "that's just Big Pharma(tm) trying to scare you!" Buddy no. There's a reason the CIA uses emergency cyanide pills!!!
Cyanide is DEADLY i cannot stress this enough. I genuinely thought this was common knowledge. Accidentally swallowing a couple seeds is harmless aside from an upset stomach but "10 a day for clearer skin!" Will literally slowly poison you. The pain you're feeling in your stomach isn't "the apricot detoxing your gut" you have CYANIDE POISONING.
There are better things to eat for clear skin. Almonds are related to apricots and have all the nutrients apricot seeds do. Just. Y'know. Minus the cyanide. Don't be the next winner of the Darwin Award guys 😭😭

 🍋Lemon 101 🍋
Tumblr media
Lemon(Citrus limon)
The lemon is a species of small evergreen tree in the flowering plant family Rutaceae, native to Asia, primarily Northeast India, Northern Myanmar, and China.
Medicinal Uses & Properties
🍋High in Vitamin C, immune system boosting
 🍋Anti-microbial
 🍋Boosts digestion
 🍋Promotes weight loss
🍋Promotes heart health
🍋Soothes sore throat
🍋Lemon oil can be used to sanitize wounds (Please dilute with a carrier before using)
🍋Lemon essential oil promotes happiness, and eases depression and anxiety when used for aromatherapy
Magickal Properties
 🍋Love
 🍋Purification
 🍋Beauty
 🍋Friendship
 🍋Cursing
 🍋Longevity
 🍋Inspiration
Uses for Lemon
🍋Make tea, pies, or other dishes
 🍋Make fermented lemons
 🍋Drink lemon water
🍋Leave lemons, or parts of a lemon, on your altar to honor the Moon
🍋Use dried peels for spells
🍋Squeeze lemon juice in your bath for protection
🍋Make a lemon salve or tincture for minor cuts and scrapes(it will burn so beware)
Safety
🍋Lemon fruit, seeds, rinds, and oils are toxic to dogs and cats. Most dogs don't like the smell of lemon, but please keep lemon and lemon products out of their reach. [1][2]
🍋Please use a carrier oil when applying essential oils to your skin or scalp. I recommend doing a skin patch test before applying in large quantities. NEVER put essential oils on pets, even when they're mixed with a carrier oil. It can and most likely will irritate their skin or otherwise negatively impact them.
🍋Be wary of citrus burns if you work with citrus in the sun. [3]
🍋Please look into negative drug interactions with medications. I read that Itraconazole doesn't mix with lemon(and other citrus), but the only source I found on that was WebMD, which isn't very credible, so do your own research.
🍋Lemon causes the erosion of tooth enamel and heartburn when eaten in large amounts.

A Godly marriage and breastfeeding. It's what God made your breasts for.
Tumblr media
First I want to clear up some misconceptions of what ANR is.
Adult nursing (ANR), Adult breastfeeding (ABR or ABF) are all umbrella terms. The simplest way to understand ANR is, any time the breasts are orally stimulated by another adult. The couple is engaged in some form of ANR. Whether or not she is lactating.
The number one reason most people are into ANR is for intimacy. They also find it as excellent way to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Some women get into ANR as a way to reduce breast cancer risks. yes! There is research that proves this. You can find it by searching for "benefits of breastfeeding" and "benefits of stimulating the breasts".
Though in theory, a woman doesn't have to be lactating to have some of the advantage of this. But a lactating woman will have by far the greatest risk reduction and benefits.
Some get into ANR as a way to help reduce and manage weight. Most breastfeeding women do loose weight. The idea is that a lactation woman burns between 300 to 700 calories per day. Though I personally think it's more of the placebo and lifestyle change that helps them.
Some are into it as a sexual alternative like those with ED or other sexual issues. Even as a form of abstinence.
When a new mother is having trouble bringing in the milk. Some doctors and lactation consultants will suggest that the father finish orally draining the breasts after the baby is done. Same goes for relieving clogged ducts.
Those of us in ANR find that ANR also preps the breasts for a new baby. Making breastfeeding a lot easier. This is because the breasts are use to being orally stimulated. The milk comes in easier and is less painful. Though there is some caution on this as well. Because too much stimulation can cause premature labor.
There are a lot of emotional benefits as well. Such as, some use it as a way to cope with stress, depression and anxiety.
People get into ANR for a lot of other reasons and a lot of other benefits.
If you are in to the bible. ANR is even in the bible. Proverbs Songs of Solomon Isaiah
This shows ANR has been around for a vary long time and is normal.
There are those who get into ANR with some fetishes such as Lactophilia or infantilism. This is what media likes to make people think ANR is. To be clear. ANR in itself is not a fetish. It is two adults expressing affection and intimacy for each other in there own way. But people like to assume Lactophilia or infantilism is ANR. They are not! But some of those people use ANR as a part of there fetish.
You can learn more about ANR by searching: understanding adult breastfeeding relationships and for Christians Christian adult breastfeeding relationships
Hope this helps True.

What the Mercs are like when You're Sick
Tumblr media
Engineer: If it's not life-threatening, then he won't take you to see Medic. But, if it's a cold, and you don't feel well enough to get out of bed then; he will bring you everything you could ever need. You're too cold? well here's an extra blanket. Thirsty? Here's a cup of herbal tea and some ginger ale. Bored? well, looks like he can bring his work in here to keep you company. He knows all the home remedies, to get better quick. If getting sick is a problem, there's no need to worry. He's an engineer, and engineers solve problems.
Pyro: He immediately takes you to Medic, whether you like it or not. After the examination, Medic tells you what to do and what not to do. While explaining Pyro can be seen taking hastily scribbled notes as if his life depended on it. Of course, they are all pictures with either a little check mark at the top or an X. Pyro insists that you use his room until you recover, no ifs, ands, or buts. He will bring you some canned soup, literally. He will bring you a can of soup and a lighter to warm it up. When that doesn't go well He gets Heavy or Engineer to cook something for you.
Spy: This man knows what he's doing and is determined to get the job done. When he figures out that you are sick he confines you to your room and brings you everything that a sick person could need. Of course, he doesn't trust anybody else's cooking with you in such a "fragile state". He will either be the one cooking or he will go out to the nearest restaurant (that isn't in Tuefort due to the highly contaminated water) and bring back a healthy, nutritious, and easy-to-digest meal. If you want PDA you will have to wait till you are better, no way is he getting sick. He has a job to do.
Soldier: He acts like it's the end of the world. He treats your sickness like you're being attacked by tiny invisible germ enemy soldiers. So the first thing he does is drag your ass all the way to Merasmus. If he's not home then he'll bring you to Medic. Much like Pyro, Soldier doesn't fully understand much of what's going on. But he tries his best to make sure that you are comfortable. With no time at all you'll be right as rain while he's the one stuck in bed.
Scout: Oh you're sick? well, that's too bad. Looks like he'll get to play medic until you get better. He makes you his mother's homemade chicken soup. Sure, it turns out a little different than what his mother makes. But, he says that's just all the love that he added in. He wants to make sure that you'll feel better in no time. He'll bring in some comics, the t.v. from the rec room, and his Tom Jones record player.
Demo: He knows exactly what to do. He's taken care of his mother when she was sick, so he knows what to do when you're sick. Whenever he's sick you do your hardest to make him comfortable. Now since it's time to return the favor he'll do everything from bringing you some water to playing soft music for you. He understands that being sick is no fun, you can't go anywhere and you can't do anything until you're better. So, he goes to work every day then afterward; he hangs out with you and keeps you company. And just like that, your sick days fly by.
Heavy: This man is a genius. He helped to take care of his sisters so he knows what to do. He will make you some soup, give you plenty of blankets, a nice cup of herbal tea with some honey in it, and read you a book till you are ready to fall asleep. He makes really enforces strict bed rest. If you manage to get even a single foot out of bed he will know and he will gently usher you to put your foot back in bed and tell him what he needs to get you. He likes taking care of people. It reminds him of those cold snowy days in the mountains with his family. At this point, you are like family to him, when you finally are well he will bring you to medic just to make sure.
Sniper: He'll make sure that you're comfortable. But when it comes to comforting the person using words...well at least he tries his best. His well-meaning makes itself known through the small acts he does. He brings you soup, makes you tea, and brings a book or two. Eventually, you both just enjoy the comfort that silence brings. He doesn't say much, but that's just the way that he is. To prevent boredom he'll tell you about all the animals he's caught and the right way to prepare them.
Medic: He cant help but be excited. Of course he feels sorry that you are unwell, but that gives him a chance to practice his bedside manner. He will give you a check up and once he's diagnosed you he will send you to your room and get everything that you need to get better ready. He asks Heavy or Engineer to make some soup; a flavorful chicken broth. He will then take out all of his medical papers and start going through them with you. Under his breath you could hear him mumble occasionaly and once in a while you both locked eyes. He looked so happy to be spending time with you. Once you get better he will ask you about his bedside manner.
