Since it’s been a decent while since I’ve posted any headcannons here are some drabbles about Higari and his siblings

Higari was a pretty shy kid at first, around his parents he was passionate about cars, frogs and collecting a variety of bugs. Around other kids his own age Higari didn’t really feel like he belonged, so often kept quite and preferred to stick to the side lines, happy to entertain himself by watching the worms wiggle about in the dirt making sculptures out of the earth. Higari liked to help his mum out with yard work when he was old enough, and despite Magakure’s often blunt attitude she enjoyed having Higari about to keep things entertaining - she was also happy he had a passion for being outdoors. When Higari got some little siblings to show off to he grew some confidence and became a much more confident kid

Hono, Higari’s rowdy, energetic younger brother. Higari was very excited to have a little brother to keep him company, even more so when he got to show off to him. Hono like any baby was impressionable so him and Higari share a lot of the same interests and dislikes. They both despised bath time as kids and bath time often started with a wild goose chase of their mother trying to round them up to the bathroom. That being said they weren’t entirely the same, Hono from the get go was a lot more daring then his older brother, Hono more often then not taking the lead on their many adventures. Hono was often the one who had to stand up for his brother who would still get anxious around the other kids in their school. Hono takes the most after their mother in appearance, but is also quick to irritate like her, when he was a kid he could throw quite the tantrum when he wanted to

Chikara and Taiho, the twins, where much easier then Higari and Hono - being twins Chikara and Taiho where happy to play amongst themselves when Higari and Hono didn’t feel like playing with them. Alas with Chikara being the only girl her older brothers sometimes pushed her out of playing games with them, which caused a lot of conflict between them when Chikara got older and wanted to hang out with them more. Chikara as a kid grew up to be a quick thinker and a little scamp, often outsmarting Higari and Hono just to get back at them for not including her in the fun. Eventually, when Kaigo sat Higari and Hono down to explain why Chikara wanted to play with them so much the two worked harder to include their baby sister in their games - though naturally she was still quite a scamp, wanting to be like her brothers. Taiho was a lot more quite, often acting more as an accomplice to his sisters shenanigans and overall a lot less prone to cause his parents problems. Taiho was a quite kid but he wasn’t shy, he just liked to have his quite time to himself. Whereas Chikara was more of a daddys girl, Taiho was a mummas boy and liked to help Magakure out with stuff in the garden and especially helping her cook

Suru, the youngest and last child in the Maijima family, had a lot of older siblings to help raise her. Chikara naturally clung onto Suru the most in the beginning, eager to have a baby sister, but Hono was the one to eventually act as her sibling role model after the passing of their dad. Suru took a lot after Hono growing up, always following him around like a duckling. She grew up with quite a potty mouth and feisty temper, which often lead to Magakure telling Hono he needed to do better for Suru. The home at the time was a bit all over the place with the passing of their father and Higari shortly after going up to stay in the city to attend UA. Hono didn’t realise at the time, but he clung to Suru so much in hopes she would fill the gap Higari left when we went away - when Suru realised this years later in her late teens it led to a bit of a rebellious phase, which only put more of a gap between her and her mother. Suru in the present is blunt and indifferent to a lot of crazy things, gets her head stuck in her work and still isn’t entirely sure what she wants to do when she’s older. She is very unsure at where her bond with Hono stands, as she fears Hono still views her as a replacement for Higari (it doesn’t help her and Higari are very similar in looks and have similar quirks)

Could we have some hcs of reader referring to some of the older MHA men (coughAizawacough) as "beekeeping age" and then they make her explain it? LMAO.

For those who don’t spend all their time on TikTok like I do, ‘beekeeping age’ refers to an attractive older man, usually in 40s/50s. Some of these guys technically don’t apply but we’re putting them in anyway!

Characters: Aizawa Shouta/Eraserhead, Yagi Toshinori/All Might, Maijima Higari/Power Loader, Sasaki Mirai/Sir Nighteye

Contents: The existential struggle of trying to explain a meme to people who aren't chronically online.

Aizawa Shouta/Eraserhead

Age: 31

Yes, he’s only in his thirties, but Aizawa has the vibe of a retiree. He looks like someone who should be muttering “I’m too old for this shit” at any minor inconvenience. In fact, he often does. He’s said it several times today.

Most especially when you looked over at him and told him that he looks like he’s ‘beekeeping age’. Now, as a teacher, Aizawa isn’t as out of step with popular culture as he might like you to think he is. Even if he doesn’t really bother with social media himself, he has twenty students who are all hooked to their phones like it’s a dialysis machine. He picks stuff up just by proximity, and it’s not the first time he’s heard the phrase ‘beekeeping age’. And while he might have a vague idea of what it means, he’s not just going to let you get away with calling him that.

He looks straight at you, lifts an eyebrow and asks, “What does that mean?”

Which leaves you floundering a little, because you have to explain to Aizawa that it means you think of him as an attractive ‘older’ man.

While he’s the furthest thing from vain, he finds himself a little bit offended.

“What the hell do you mean ‘older’? I’m thirty-one.”

“You have to admit, Shouta, you do give off the vibe of a grizzled older man.”

“I’m too old for this shit.”

Yagi Toshinori/All Might

Age: 55+

Toshinori’s the only one who really qualifies for this trope, and naturally, he has absolutely no idea what you’re referring to when you tell him that he’s beekeeping age. He grins uncertainly at you.

“I’m…not sure if that’s a compliment or not, but I’ve always thought that beekeeping looks like a relaxing hobby! As long as you’re not allergic!”

Of course, you take a little pity on him and explain that it means he’s a hot older guy.

“Oh, are you referring to a DILF?”

Once you’re done spraying your coffee or whatever you were drinking everywhere, you demand to know where Toshinori heard that word and if he knows what it means. Let’s be real, Toshinori doesn’t run his own social media and doesn’t know squat about memes.

“Oh, a charming young lady walked up to me at a signing once and informed me I am what the young people call a DILF. Still can’t get anyone to tell me what it means! Slang these days! Ha!”

I dare you to try and get Toshinori to refer to himself as a DILF in front of Aizawa. Just for the hell of it.

Maijima Higari/Power Loader

Age: 41

Higari can’t catch a break. Not only is he very short and look a couple decades younger than he actually is, leading to a lot of unfortunate misunderstandings, now he has some whippersnapper calling telling him to go start a beehive.

He’s probably the only one on this list that actually knows what it means. I feel like because he’s so in line with cutting edge technology that he’s pretty on top of social media as well? He doesn’t seem like the type to lose step with the rest of the world when it comes to these things. So you don’t even have to explain what you mean when you tell him he’s beekeeping age.

“Buzz off.”

Sasaki Mirai/Sir Nighteye

Age: 38

At first Sir Nighteye thinks you’re making some kind of joke. He stares you down, looking rather menacing even while his mind is turning over the phrase ‘beekeeping age’, looking for the pun or the play on words. When he can’t find it, he finally has to admit defeat and ask you gravely:

“What does that mean?”

Sir Nighteye’s a little put out when you tell him it’s about good looking older men, because he doesn’t consider himself particularly old. Pacify him by telling him that he just gives off the dignified air of a mature man. He might scoff, but he’ll be somewhat more mollified.

“I suppose I can accept that as a compliment. Although I think you ought to come up with better jokes. That one didn’t even contain a pun.”

gets frustrated easily if you don't listen to him but gives you lots of praise when you do

bribes you with snacks and toys

has a lot of rules for you, mostly for safety but also things like "no swearing" "only [x] many snacks before lunch/dinner"

if you break any rules he'll tell you that if you do it again you're not allowed to have your favourite snack or toy. he's too soft on you to follow through though, he'll just complain and say the same thing again

usually when you regress he takes you to his relaxation room, but if he's too busy to leave the lab he'll set up a soft corner for you

he has legos and inventor toys in the lab for you to play with while he works so you feel included. he'll sometimes ask you to make something and pretend to use it then thank and compliment you

What are some alternative hero names and epithets that you would give to the Pro Heroes or UA Teachers?

For the sake of this, I am sticking to the UA Teachers, because that would be a lot of characters otherwise, and only epithets in general. Partly because I am fine with lot of the hero names and partly because we don't know a lot about the characters to build interesting hero names around. And for the ones we do know, like Aizawa, Nemuri, and Yamada, I'd rather make their own post focusing on them considering how much we do know about them. You are still more then welcome to ask about specific characters if you want alternatives.

Power Loader: The Construction Hero or the Ground Up Hero could be a good pick, working both his overall aesthetic, his support item focused style, and his tendency to dig into one name.

Ectoplasm: I believe that a better options would be something like Multi-Man or The Dividing Hero would fit him well enough. A good mix of his cloning power and his role as a math teacher at UA.

Cementoss: Since there isn't much to go off of for him, I decided on The Foundational Hero. Something simple and solid like Cementoss while fitting well enough with his Quirk.

Snipe: While I did consider options like the Sheer Shot Hero or the Marksmen given his skill with firearms, I think the Deadeye Hero fits him best given his cowboy appearance.

Recovery Girl: As tempted as I was to call her the Nursery Heroine, I think that the Health Heroine works as well. Partly for the alliteration and partly because she focuses on all forms of care and not simply physical health.

Hound Dog: Something like the Rabid Hero would fit well, but I think it would be hilarious if he was called the Therapy Hero. Again, playing off his role in the school, but would be so off putting with how he usually acts.

Nezu: The Lab Rat Hero would be perfect considering everything about him, but would be absurdly cruel given his backstory. So instead, I went with the Apex or Evolved Hero, referencing his role as an animal, but something far about other creatures.

Vlad King: I did consider something like the Vampiric Hero or the Royal Blood Hero, but I really like the idea of calling him the Blood Drive Hero. It works with his passionate attitude, plays on his bloody power, and has a more heroic connotation to it.

Thirteen: I like the idea of calling Thirteen something like that Discovery Heroine, referencing her role as a search and rescue heroine and space theme, but I like the Stella Heroine, as it's a non-threatening name tying back into how black holes are collapsed stars.

Midnight: While you could go with any kind of adult name for her, I wanted to go with the Respite Heroine. It would work with how her power makes people fall asleep and her general philosophy of heroism. That people need to blow off steam or it becomes a risk to everyone.

Present Mic: I really like the idea of calling Present Mic The Roaring Hero. Sure, it fits with his wild, rocker hero persona, but I think that it fits his more threatening side as well. Because roar could mean something boisterous and passionate, but it can invoke ideas of something violent and harsh.

Eraserhead: There are a few options, like The Restless Hero for his tired yet determined persona, but I want to go with the Blank Hero. It fits well enough with the Quirk and hero name, but I mostly picked it out for how it fits with Aizawa. It fits with his lack of theatrics with hero work, leaving his title blank.
