Nasib kesehatan kita itu murni di tangan diri kita sendiri. Saya sangat yakin bahwa semua dari kita pasti tidak ada yang menginginkan sakit. Kita semuanya pasti menginginkan sehat. Kita semua ingin sehat, karena dengan sehat, kita bisa bermanfaat bagi banyak orang, dengan sehat kita tidak mudah capek, dengan sehat kita bisa beraktivitas lebih optimal, dengan begitu bisa beribadah dengan lebih baik, dengan sehat kita bisa beraktivitas lebih optimal, intinya dengan sehat kita bisa lebih menikmati hidup. Kesehatan memang bukan segalanya, tetapi tanpa kesehatan, kesehatan menjadi tidak ada gunanya.
Memang, sakit yang menimpa kita itu merupakan salah satu ketentuan dari Allah. Namun jika kita mau mengakui, pasti ada faktor ulah kita di dalamnya. Kesehatan kita lima tahun kedepan, sepuluh tahun kedepan, bahkan dua puluh tahun kedepan ditentukan oleh bagaimana gaya hidup yang kita terapkan sejak saat ini. Sehat atau sakit adalah akumulasi dari investasi perilaku kita. Apa yang sering kita tabur, itulah yang akan kita tuai. Maka, sehat sebenarnya bukanlah suatu kebetulan atau suatu keajaiban, melainkan suatu usaha yang secara sadar kita lakukan.
Membahas tentang sakit, saya jadi ingin menyinggung tentang suatu hal, yaitu ketika kita sakit, biasanya yang kita pikir pertama kali adalah obatnya apa. Kebanyakan kita akan langsung mencari obat atau berbagai jenis pengobatan ketika didiagnosis menderita penyakit tertentu, misal mencari obat penurun gula darah saat tahu kadar gula di atas normal. Karena kita ingin segera sembuh, maka kita berusaha mencari pengobatan apa yang cepat dan besar efikasinya. Karena kita tahu bahwa setiap penyakit itu ada obatnya, lama- lama kita menjadi manja dan menggantungkan semuanya pada obat.“Tenang, kan ada obatnya. Makan apa aja gapapa, gausah takut kolesterol tinggi, gausah takut darah tinggi, kan ada obatnya”, Padahal, ketika kita hanya fokus ke obat tanpa mengevaluasi dan memperbaiki apa makanan dan minuman yang telah kita makan, ya sama saja. Itu artinya kita hanya fokus kepada hilir, bukan hulu. Maka, sebelum semuanya terlambat, sebelum sakit itu datang, maka marilah kita fokus kepada apa akar permasalahannya.
Saya sepakat bahwa sakit itu sangat tidak nikmat. Banyak hal yang tidak bisa kita lakukan ketika kita sakit. Banyak hal yang akan terdampak jika kita sakit, entah tertundanya mimpi mimpi kita, mau tidak mau kita juga akan merepotkan orang- orang di sekitar kita, bahkan sakit kita itu akan berpengaruh terhadap kehidupan sosial kita, ekonomi kita, bahkan ekonomi negara juga jika yang menanggung biaya pengobatannya adalah negara. Sangat merugikan sekali kan sakit itu? Maka, marilah kita jaga pola hidup sehat agar tidak sampai sakit. Namun, coba pikirkan apakah tidak terlalu sia- sia bila kita pada akhirnya melakukan segala upaya hidup sehat hanya untuk menghindari sakit? Ketika kita memfokuskan diri dengan dalih ‘takut sakit’, maka di situlah energi yang akan kita salurkan. Kita akan disibukkan dengan ‘bagaimana agar tidak sakit’, tetapi lupa dalam menikmati dan memaknai hidup sehat itu sendiri. Apa yang kita fokuskan, maka di sana tenaga kita tersalurkan. Kalau kita hanya berfokus pada sesuatu yang tidak kita inginkan, maka yang tidak kita inginkanlah yang akan termanifestasi. Sebaliknya kalau kita berfokus pada apa yang kita inginkan, maka hal yang kita inginkan tersebutlah yang akan termanifestasi.
Coba bayangkan, bagaimana bila kita melakukan sesuatu hanya karena paksaan, nah dalam hal ini yaitu bagaimana jadinya kalau kita menjalankan pola hidup sehat hanya karena takut sakit? Maka, sudah bisa dipastikan ketika menjalaninya kita akan diliputi oleh ketakutan, kecemasan, kegelisahan, dsb. Coba bandingkan kalau kita menjalani pola hidup sehat karena semata mata kita memang ingin sehat. Sehat itu nikmat lhoh. Sehat itu berteman dengan pertemanan hati. Ketika kita sehat, kita bisa melakukan apa saja dengan mudah. Nah dengan punya mindset yang seperti ini, maka saat menjalaninya pun rasanya enjoy, dengan senang hati, dan tidak merasa tertekan atau bahkan tersiksa.
