The Big Joke

Batman rode on his motorcycle in the dead of the night, on his way to stop Joker from releasing his toxin on the Gotham Elites. He focused on the loud roar of the engine. It helped to remind him that this was real. This was a real situation, that he had to stop. People's lives were on the line. As soon as the gala's building was in his sights he leaped off of his motorcycle, throwing his arm out to shoot a grappling hook to the roof of the building. He cut through the sky easily, landing on the roof. He silently thanked god that there was a window.

He crept towards it, his movements controlled and silent. Inside, he saw that he was too late. Everyone in the building had mutilated faces, a gigantic and perpetual smile on their faces.

Batman broke the window, dropping down into the silent building. He looked around at the carnage, and couldn't help but close his eyes. He failed them. He failed Gotham.

"Batsy!" The Joker exclaimed in her shrill voice. The red on her lips was slightly smeared, and just a little darker. Her eyes held the glint of unpredictability. Her usual wild mess of hair was tied back today, in a marginally professional low-bun. She planned this. And she won.

"You missed the party," She grinned hugely.

For the first time in years, Batman lost his temper. He lunged towards her, grasping her by the collar of her dress shirt.

"Why!? Why did you do this? What did you gain!?" He exclaimed in a gruff voice, the pain evident.

"Why do I do anything, Bats?" She smiled at him. He wasted no time throwing punch after punch. She gasped for air, scrambling to get out of his grasp. She finally escaped, backing up with both hands up.

"No! No! You're pulling your punches, you're not supposed to," She babbled, her back hunched over and eyebrows furrowed. She finally seemed to straighten up and return to reality after a moment.

"No matter. Her," The Joker pointed at an elderly woman. Batman slowly averted his gaze from Joker to the woman. Upon closer inspection he realized - that was Dr. Leslie Thompkins.

"No!" He rushed to her, snatching her wrist and pushing her sleeve up. He ignored the way his harsh slide into the ground hurt his knees. He placed a hand on her wrist and prayed, begged, that if there was a God out there they would help him. He waited a few moments and understood. Leslie was dead.

"No! Check her mouth," The Joker had acquired a gun. Batman looked up, and sure enough there was an envelope.

He picked it up and examined it. The sides were littered with cartoon Joker heads, and he ignored the obvious traces of a struggle, the bite marks and saliva.

He raised a gloved hand to open it. A heart fell out, along with a timer.

The Joker began to laugh. She doubled over, holding her stomach as she laughed, not regarding the way her face was beaten bloody.

"And that- That's the funniest joke of all!"

"What is Joker? What's the Joke!?" Batman snapped. He grabbed her with both of his hands and pinned her to the wall.

"I think you know. After all this time Mr.-" She began to laugh again, this time with a defeated look.

"Mr. Detective. You know," Batman was flooded with a rush of pain.

He looked down and saw the knife lodged into his stomach, which was definitely piercing an organ. He stumbled backward, before falling to the ground.

"Yes, this is perfect," The Joker fell to the ground with Batman, taking the knife out of his stomach and lodging it in his chest.

She pulled a gun out of her back pocket and stared at him. Batman knew this was his end. This was the end of Gotham. His mission was over.

"I love you. That was the big joke," She began to smile towards the end as she took the safety off of her gun.

"And now, we die together," She said with a huge grin. Batman turned to the side, to stare at all the carnage she'd created. He heard the gunshot next to him, but didn't dare look. He'd vaguely registered the sounds of bombs going off in the city. He heard the screams and cries of terror and agony.

As the life slowly left his body, the last sounds he heard were the sounds of The Joker's laughing. But inwardly he knew they were cries.

Because he failed The Joker.

"Maybe, in another life.." The Batman's last words. In another life, he might not be so jaded as to doubt the effects of love. Or the consequences. In a way, he created The Joker. She was nothing but a petty thief until Batman came onto the scene.

He changed her.

And she changed him.

Batman died with a smile on his face, as did everyone else in the room.

Absolutely not what he had expected from the feared Batwoman even in her civilian form, maybe Sam pushing him to come to this gala with her and her parents wasn't going to end in disaster? At least Damian was supposedly on a trip with a sibling out of town and not at the gala and probably not going to come out of no where and attack him, he assumed that was cover for some mission.

Receptionist Danny working in the main Wayne lobby

First few days at the job site and Danny was already regretting getting this job.

Why?

Because this exact scenario had been repeated five times already just today. Not as persistent as THIS one though. God he is so tired of this bull. It got tiring after the third time now he's just tired and annoyed.

A bad combo considering Danny the "Town Menace Phantom" Fenton was beginning to lose the little patients he had left.

' just count down from ten like Jazz had taught me years ago'. Danny gave a sigh and kept repeating the mantra in his mind.

He has to stay strong he fought ghost for years! What is a few minutes worth of questions from a few eager journalist? He could handle Wes how could they be any worse?

Oh who was he kidding certainly not himself! Not after having suffered a day full of questions about shit he didn't know squat about.

This situation with this gender bent Wes was WORSE considering Danny couldn't just tell her to piss off. The others had just asked a few questions or had gotten turned down regarding questions. Not TO bad. He could handle it. He still kinda liked this job. Well, he likes the work benefits. It was the main reason he applied after all.

So give him some credit this was the sixth harpy "journalist" to come sniffing around after having gotten wind of a new employee in the main office. Though their sources must be bad. He was just a receptionist! Not the new head of the financing department or Bruce Wayne's new secretary, leave him alone!

He doesn't know what the company boss does??? Why ask him? How would lil' old receptionist Danny Fenton know!

Has he not suffered enough?? His suffering with this specific harpy had been going on for the past twenty five minutes.

"So, where does Bruce Wayne leave for during his meetings? A new woman? Man? Trouble in the family?"

Vicky Vale as she had introduced herself before had officially made Danny hear his last strained thread of patients fraying. He could only take so much before the menace in him gott done with this nonsense. Time for Ms Vale to go away, fuck off and not come back. Danny menace mode ON now.

Smiling the most customer service™ smile he could manage Danny responded in the flattest tone he was capable of.

"Well to fuck your mom of course, Ms Vale."

And of course at just the moment the older receptionist Ms Linda Smith that had been in charge of showing Danny the territory before retirement finally came back. With two coffee cups in her hands. She had taken off on her break the moment she spotted Ms Vale walking towards the front desk. She promised to grab him a coffee on her way back. Truly abandoning him to the wolves. Or wolf. She had bribed him and Danny hadn't even known what kind of suffering awaited him. Ms Linda had started speaking.

"Okay Danny no we don't---

Danny didn't know exactly what was up with the big boss and his family. Something was definitely up but he didn't think it was bad.

"And your dad, because we here at Wayne enterprises support the LBGTQIA community. Thank you and leave.

Thank you for reading! I might do some more for this idea again. This is basically just the idea by @some-rotten-nest link below. I've had a similar idea about Danny being an evil assistant before. Not a receptionist though. It was fun writing this I keep thinking about all the interesting scenarios that could play out in this (Au?) Idea. Also I just wanted to test the waters. I've never written anything and actually posted it before. I hope this was okay. Um bye and have a good day oh am I kidding have a good night!

Batman au where everything is the same, except Bruce is a woman instead of a man.

Her name is Beatrice.

Her personality is exactly the same.

She’s still 6′ something and built like a tank.

Her superhero name is still Batman.

She was originally just going to go by The Bat, but then the media started calling her Batman, and she just rolled with it. Adds an extra layer of protection for her secret identity.

Some extra points that I find important

After the media dubs her ‘The Batman’, Bea spends hours gargling gravel in random closets in the manor to perfect her ‘manly Batman growly voice’ as she calls it. Her crime fighting identity is now male, and while she doesn’t speak much in the early days, when the time comes that she will need to speak she might as well have a voice that matches the name. She’s not going to do this halfway.

Bea has been diagnosed with OCD and is either somewhere on the autism spectrum or has ADHD, she stopped going to the psychiatrist before they could figure out which one. (Not that different from cannon, but it was important to me to mention it.)

While most of the Justice League only finds out Batman is a woman when she reveals her identity to them on her own terms, Wounder Woman can recognize a fellow warrior women almost on sight. She pulls Batman aside privately later to explain that she knows, and states that while she doesn’t understand why she is keeping her gender hidden from the others she will respect her decision to do so. They have girls nights twice a month.

When 12-year-old Jason Todd finds out that Batman is a woman after getting caught trying to steal her tires, his immediate response is to inform Bea that his respect for Batman has just increased immensely. Jason is very proud to have a new mom who could probably bench Superman.

While Bea enjoys wearing dresses, she mainly wears suits, pants, and traditionally ‘male’ clothing. Her reasons behind this being that it can be very hard to find dresses that fit her with out having them custom made, and while that's barely a hindrance with how much money she has, she also thinks that she just generally doesn’t look flattering in most dresses because of her build.

Branching off the last point, Bea had some major body image issues in her teenage years. While she wasn’t as huge back then, she still had a fair amount of muscle mass from being incredibly active in a few different sports and with helping Alfred take care of the manor wherever it was needed. She has also always preferred close cropped hair to longer styles that would just get in the way and annoy her. Because of these things she always looked more masculine and never fit the ‘ideal’ look for woman. The inadequate feelings caused by that were made worse because she felt like she didn’t know how to be a woman. While Leslie Tompkins was a great older female presence in Bea’s life, Leslie couldn’t be a constant presence. And while Alfred tried his best - and passed with flying colours and unflappable determination in most areas - he was still a man and just couldn’t understand somethings about womanhood no matter how hard he tried. Bea kept all of these negative thoughts and feelings about herself bottled up inside of her like the emotionally constipated person she is until one day everything bubbled over with explosive force and disastrous consequences. It was a bad few months for both her and Alfred after that incident. Alfred still feels guilty for not noticing the signs sooner. As an adult Bea has become one of the biggest advocates for healthy body positivity and mental health. She still deals with those thoughts and feelings, though not to the same extent and she recognizes that the majority of them stem from her OCD. She has copping mechanisms set up to help handle these thoughts and feelings and will almost always go talk to Alfred when any of her emotions become to much and she starts to drown in them. (One notable exception to the ‘always go talk to Alfred when everything gets to much’ rule was after Jason’s death.)

All of the few dresses and skirts that Bea owns are ankle or floor length and show very little skin. She just doesn’t feel comfortable having a lot of skin showing, to her it feels like an invasion of her privacy for anyone other then the people she trusts most in the world to see more skin then just what is generally visible while wearing a t-shirt and shorts that cover the knees. Tight fitting clothing gives her a similar feeling of discomfort, so if the outfit is more form fitting it has to be covering her ankles and wrists, but if it shows skin it has to be on the looser side. Everyone who is close to her understands this fact, and it has caused problems with injuries on the field of battle before. (Whenever one of her kids thinks that they have lost her trust they are very surprised when they are proven wrong the next time Bea gets hurt in battle with them and she lets them treat her injuries. Jason cries every time at this show of trust when it’s directed at him. Sometimes when Bea knows she’s messed up with one of her kids and doesn’t know how to fix it, she’ll go on patrol with them and get hurt on purpose just to let them know she still loves them and still trusts them even if she can’t say it. Alfred, Cass, and Tim are the only ones to have caught on to this behaviour yet, but Damian is suspicious and very close to figuring it out.)

Damian is still her biological kid, Talia is still his other parent, and Bea still had no idea of his existence for the first 9-ish years of his life. Haven’t figured out how that works exactly yet, if anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears.

Bea has less of a ‘sleeps around’ reputation then her cannon male counterpart mainly because most of Gotham high society is intimidated by pretty strong lady who could probably crush like a grape if she really wanted to and they have no idea how to handle it because there is no precedent for something like this. The last time Gotham high society had to deal with a woman even remotely as huge as Bea was in the mid to late 1800s with one of her ancestors. (Who was also named Beatrice and who is considered to be the first great Matriarch of the Wayne family as it is agreed upon by most historians that the Wayne name and business are as powerful and influential as they are today because of many of her actions and choices.) There have been plenty of tall and muscular women in Gotham high society, but Bea is just so huge that they just don’t know the proper and polite way to approach her. Would it be insensitive to bring up her size in casual conversation? This inability for the socialites to figure out how to talk to Bea about anything other than business is not helped by the airhead persona Bea puts of in public. She doesn’t mind though, people are hard to talk to, the less people that she has to mindlessly chat with the better. The majority of those Gotham socialites that aren’t intimidated by her size will mainly approach her for a relationship for either fame, money, or purely for sexual desires. Bea doesn’t want an intimate relationship with someone unless it’s going to be a serious one and with someone who cares for her and wants the relationship because of her and not what she could give them, and after the forth potential partner approached her purely to increase their standing in high society and for some fun in the sheets, she decided that it was not worth the damage her self worth would take for whatever extra secret identity protection being an airhead who also likes to sleep around might give her.

The whole ‘Batman is a dude but Beatrice Wayne is a girl’ thing did throw Tim for a bit when he figured out Robin’s identity. As far as 9-year-old Tim could tell, the only man who was a part of Dick Grayson’s life was Alfred, and Alfred looks nothing like Batman. It didn’t stall him for long though, because once he realized Batman and Bea had the exact same body type it wasn’t that far of a stretch to assume that Bea chose the name Batman as a way to hide her secret identity more, and he admits that it’s a smart idea. (Later when Tim takes up the superhero identity of Red Robin, he carefully crafts his costume to make him appear more feminine for the exact same reason. The flame wars on the internet over what Red Robin’s gender is are absolutely legendary, no one can say that they are one hundred percent certain as to what this vigilante’s gender might be)

Whenever someone finds out that Batman is indeed, in fact, a woman, they completely loose their minds. Some of them are in complete disbelief until it has been proven to them without a shadow of a doubt that Batman is in fact female. Some look deep inside of themselves and ask “how did I not figure it out?”. Others, mainly the non human/not raised in human society and culture ones (and John Constantine), go “ok, thank you for trusting me with this clearly very personal to you information” and move on with their lives.

A small handful of villains, both big bosses and small time henchmen, have figured out that Batman is a woman. Lex Luther pieced it together because he’s smart and is willing to accept the idea of women who are tanks unlike other smart villainous men who despite all the extensive evidence they have collected clearly pointing to at least the possibility that Beatrice Wayne is Batman refuse to entertain the idea simple because Bea is a woman and Batman has man in his name. (Lex’s right hand man is a very capable woman named Mercy, after all. He may treat most other people on this planet like they are beneath him, but he will never treat one gender as less then the others.) The majority of bad guys who know that Batman is a women don’t know her secret identity, and only realized Batman is a women because they were in a fight where someone got in a lucky shot at the Dark Knight, making him down for the count, and instead of whichever one of his army of children was with him in that fight got worried, but instead of calling out ‘dad’ before beating the stuffing out of all the collective bad guy force, they screamed ‘mom’ before beating the stuffing out of the collective bad guy force.

Selina Kyle found out that Batman is a woman one night a few years into both of their nightly careers. As Catwoman, she saw Batman sitting on the edge of a building looking even more broody then usual and offered to be a listening ear for Batman to rant to if he wanted. Batman, having had a crappy week, happily agreed, and given the strange nature of their relationship figured that it was only a matter of time before Catwoman found out her identity, completely dropped the ‘manly Batman growly voice’ and proceeded to rant about some gold digger who wasn’t taking no for an answer and who was starting to take it to far and about some board member she was to deal with who keeps disregarding her and brushing her off when she tries to give her input into the inner workings of her own company, and the only reason this week hasn't fallen into her top 10 worst weeks of her life is because all of the pain resistance training that she endured before she let herself become Gotham’s protector that is making her period cramps manageable. Selina listens as she said she would and has a slowly building existential crisis because, holy crap, Batman is a woman, and not only that, but she’s giving out info that could probably easily link Batman to her secret identity, and is Batman actually trusting Catwoman, one of her more infamous rouges, with her secret identity?! After her hour long rant, Batman turns to look at Catwoman asking if she might have any advice, to find that Catwoman has done the mental equivalent of blue screening while trying to process all of this. They soon become kinda friends after this and Selina joins Bea and Diana on their bi-monthly girls nights. (Or Diana joins Bea and Selina on their bi-monthly girls nights, depends on if Selina and Bea become friends before or after the Justice League forms. Pick which one you like better.

Batman still has a bit of a reputation for ‘being involved’ with some villains.

When it comes time for Bea to give the puberty talk to any of the boys she’s raising, she freaks out. No mater how many books she reads, how many experts she consults, how many times she’s done this in the past, she still convinced that she’s gonna mess it up and misinform one of her boys on something very important when it comes to their biology and development that will have long lasting and horrible repercussions all because she doesn’t have personal experience in this area. Alfred helps out to keep Bea from having a panic attack, because in all honesty Bea would do just fine on her own for this parenthood milestone, the only thing that would negatively effect the situation, and therefore the outcome, is Bea having a panic attack. When it’s time to give Cass the puberty talk Bea breaths a huge sigh of relief because, finally!, she has personal experience with female puberty.

As a bit of a joke, Dick would give Bea presents for both mother’s day and father’s day, because while Bea may be a mother, Batman is, technically speaking in the eyes of most of the world, a father. This habit spread to Jason who would always try to one up the presents Dick would give Bea out of spite that Dick was kind of of jerk. When Tim joined the family and saw Dick giving Bea presents on both days, he just assumed that that’s what your supposed to do because his parents were never around for father’s day or mother’s day. After that the tradition just kind of stuck to the Wayne family, and they all give presents to multiple important parental figures on both holidays. ( It takes Tim years to realize that that is, in fact, not how everyone does things, but is in fact just a thing they do. He is very shocked.)

Yandere Bruce Wayne/The Batfamily w/ Biological!Child!Reader

(I hope you don’t mind but I wanted to keep this pretty gender neutral. Also, I didn’t include all the batfamily cause this was just getting too long. I wouldn’t mind making a part two or something later on.)

Bruce had no clue that you existed, honestly. But when he does learn that he has another biological child he’s going to do everything in his power to make up for all the time that has passed. He has Alfred helping him to get whatever information he can on you, no matter how small or insignificant it may be, Bruce wants it all. Not only does he want to know the type of person his child is but also maybe knowing somethings about you could make meeting you go better.

He’s 50/50 whether he should tell the rest of the batfam right away or rather wait and see how meeting you goes. He doesn’t want you to feel bombarded or overwhelmed when he brings you home. It doesn’t even cross his mind that you may want nothing to do with him or the family.

When he first sees you he knows right away that you’re his flesh and blood, no questions about it. As for you, well you’re shocked to say the least to have the Bruce Wayne at your doorstep. You’re even more taken back when he tells you he’s your father. He seems honest and sincere in wanting to be in your life but you’ve done well enough without him so far, why start now?

At first, Bruce is extremely understanding of your decision but the more he thinks about it, dwelling on everything, he starts rethinking it. He may be understanding of your wants but can’t you be understanding of his too? Once he knows about you he’s not just going to turn his back on you and go back to living without you. He’s your father and he’ll be damned if he isn’t there for you.

One of the first things he does after coming back from visiting you is call a family meeting. He calls up everyone and tells them everything, from him having another biological child to him actually meeting you and you turning him away. The family is shocked but they can see how important this is to Bruce. He wants you to be part of his life, his family and they’ll help him any way they can.

Now the whole batfamily is involved in trying to bring you home. Or at least open the door to a relationship. You will have a part in the family whether you want to or not.

There was a time when Damien couldn’t have cared less if he had a biological sibling or not, but now he’s just as hell bent on bringing you home as his father. Maybe even more so. Can you blame him for wanting a relationship? All he wants is to be a family. To be close to you. You don’t have to let Bruce in but couldn’t you at the very least let Damian in?

Damian may even try and meet with you himself. Maybe meeting your younger brother could change your mind? He can’t deny that he is more than a little anxious about meeting you. What if you reject him just like you did his father? What if you also wanted nothing to do with him? He didn’t know how he was going to handle being rejected by someone who was family, not after he had spent so long being accepted by his father and the rest of the batfamily.

You may be more inclined to at least open up communication with Damian being your much younger sibling. It may not be exactly what he wanted but it’s a start. You’re at least showing you want to be there for him and that’s more than enough right now. But he still wants that relationship, he wants you to just give in and be family already but he can be patient. For now.

Damian will keep Bruce in the loop of everything the two of you talk about. It took him a little bit but he got your trust and you’re less closed off then before. You’re still on your guard but you’re giving in a little and that’s what matters. The two of you even meet up time to time for lunch or tea/coffee. It’s nice to say the least.

Damian, on Bruce’s orders, invites you to any and all events/galas they’re hosting at the manor. It would give Bruce an excuse to see you and it would actually feel like you’re part of his life. Damian likes the idea too and he’ll try whatever he can to get you to go. He would even go as far as to manipulate you, making you feel guilty for not wanting to spend time with him. The rest of the family would get to meet you too. They already know everything about you but they’ll actually be able to interact with you. Although, Damian isn’t as pleased about that as Bruce is. But it’s a matter of getting you there to begin with.

You aren’t aware of the rest of the batfamily’s involvement in this situation. But they’re there, at least one or two are always nearby. You know for a fact that Dick and Tim are in the picture from seeing them make appearances on the news during galas and Wayne Industries events and whatever else. But you don’t really consider them having any part in the matter between you and Bruce. You couldn’t be more wrong. Everyone is sitting and waiting with anticipation for the go ahead to bring you home.

At first, they’re involvement was just for Bruce and helping him but now after spending so much time watching, following and studying you they’ve grown attached. Your name alone has been a constant for the family, it’s the only topic they’ve discussed for months now. It’s obvious now that the family is not whole and it’s weighing on them. They’re missing something, someone and nothing is right until the family is complete. But they need you to bring it all together.

If you still won’t budge about having Bruce in your life then there won’t be anymore waiting. He’s tried and tried to do what he can to change your mind, to make you comfortable but it’s not working, obviously. It was never Bruce’s intention to force you into anything but now he doesn’t care. He wants, no, he needs his child with him. He just wants to do right by you and make up for everything he missed out on. He says it’s all for you but really he’s doing this for himself. Bruce will finally give the word and the family will bring you home, where you belong with them.

Once they do bring you home, Bruce and Damian are by your side all the time. Mostly Damian. He just adores you and wants to spend every waking moment with you. He’s introducing you to all his animal friends before you’re even introduced or meet the other family members. Damian and the animals are your companions for the most part. Damian will either stay so long in your room with you that he falls asleep in there too. Or he will sneak in to cuddle you. He just wants to be closer to you.

Alfred would probably be the second or even first person who you become close with. He’s nice and attentive both as a butler and an overall grandfather. He’s great really and you adore him. He’s honestly your favorite. You can’t hold anything against Damian for kidnapping you but you can certainly blame Bruce and everyone else.

As much as you’d like to put even a little blame on Alfred for being aware of this whole plan to force you into the family, you can’t. He’s been the most understanding of your situation. Understanding of you not wanting to be here, of you not trusting them, but most importantly he was understanding of you not wanting anything to do with Bruce. That was all your choice to make and it was taken from you. The first time he interacted with you after you woke up in the manor was when he brought you your food and he apologized. Whether it was for his knowledge/role or for Bruce’s action you weren’t too sure but it felt better knowing someone felt guilty.

Pairing: Damian Wayne x Reader (gender neutral)

Synopsis: *It was requested the reader be shorter* there's a quick make-out session and a mention of meeting the Wayne's for dinner

Warnings: None

Word Count: 650

Note: I'll be totally down for doing more fics during summer, it's just loaded right now and I'm working on the series.

You and Damian were situated on the bed in your room. It was warm outside from the spring air and the afternoon sun was setting in. Damian shifted on the bed and sat up looking at the time on his phone.

“It’s probably time for us to get prepared for dinner tonight.” He said, soft eyes looking at you.

You moved over to him and rested your head on his thigh. Damian took this opportunity to run his fingers through your hair as you slowly started drifting back to sleep. He stopped as he noticed this and chuckled to himself.

“Habibi, you have to get up now.”

“I know but it’s so early!” You groaned rolling over.

“beloved it’s 3:30, not that early.”

You didn’t argue with him, only huffed to make him aware of your displeasure. He smirked at the way that you glared at him for only a few seconds, but made you way into your bathroom to prepare yourself for the dinner that Bruce was having for the family. You were glad that you weren’t attending some event on behalf of the Wayne father with Damian however, you were a bit more nervous meeting everyone. You’d already met the girls to whom Bruce sends to events to negotiate for him, Tim, and the man himself but the others were unfamiliar.

Dressing comfortably, you put on one of your own turtle necks that matched with Damian’s, a jacket for when it would inevitably become cold in the evening, and nice jeans. The ring that Damian had gifted you as a promise ring was already on your finger, the gold and diamonds sparkling in your bathroom light.

Damian was already dressed when you stepped out. He looked you over once and smiled, having you spin for him just so he could take in your full beauty.

“We might have to stay here instead of leaving for the manor beloved.”

“We could do that, but I’d rather eat the food that Alfred has prepared.”

“You make a wonderful point my love.” Damian brushed his lips against yours and geld you close as he said this.

He pulled you in close, locking his lips with yours and held your head with his hand. You instantly returned the favour, kissing him back in something that quickly got heated. Damian was so much taller than you that an ordeal such as this was better when you were both leveled. Picking you up, he sat you on the bed and continued, sitting as well so that you were between his legs sitting up. When he pulled back, the touch lingered but eventually faded. His cheeks were pink and lips swollen just as yours.

“As much as I’d love to continue this, we will have to later tonight. They will become impatient if we linger and doddle for much longer.” He said taking your hand and helping you up to stand.

“Well I wouldn’t call that doddling but there’s no reason to have them waiting.”

The dinner had been a success. For part of the night, Jason teased you two for having such a height difference. It was hilarious to see someone as tall as Damian leaning down to kiss your cheek or whisper something in your ear. When it came time to hang around in the living room, you sat next to each other. Damian had fallen asleep as laid his head on your shoulder. He was completely slumped over and knocked out. For this reason, Bruce decided to exempt him from patrolling which you already knew about. You smiled at the things that the family shared and stuffed your mouth with Alfred’s cookies as Bruce and Alfred got out the most embarrassing pictures of Damian for everyone to share while he was asleep. You ran your fingers through his hair, only stopping when he moved or when you had to stifle a laugh.

Batfam with S/O Who Sends Weird Texts in the Middle of the Night HC (Request)

Dick Grayson:

Is the one who gets the most sleep out of the entire family

So at this point any hour of the night can be considered unreasonable

He sleeps with his ringer on for most every night in case there’s an emergency since this dude sleeps like a rock, a simple vibration won’t cut it

So when you text, he gets it

i just want to say that Dick has customized ringtones for everyone and so when one goes off he knows who it is

This means that there’s either an emergency orrrr it’s something really random

Most of the time it’s something really random

Is the kind of person to either respond with something that keeps the conversation going or just an lol or idk man

Doesn’t limit himself with responses but sometimes wonders about your sanity

It’s like you plan these things and frankly it can get annoying but sometimes he just has to stare at his phone and contemplate what you sent

Is the bitch to call and ask questions and sometimes you expect it and burst out laughing when he calls and other times you’re like NO DON’T CALL ME

Jason Todd:

He tries to sleep but sometimes it just doesn’t happen

Most of the time, he’s at your place hanging out and you just will randomly say something that makes him double take

Like what did you just say…. I’m going to ignore that

If you ever text him, he just has a habit of replying no matter what

Doesn’t leave you on read but has thought about it before

Is the kind of person to sometimes jump in and add to things and then it becomes a four hour long conversation

Otherwise it’s just an “okayyyy babe time to go to bed now.”

Part of it is that he’s super busy and just knows that the two of you are sleep deprived and when you start with the random shit, it’s time to sleep

Tim Drake:

The two of you will have conspiracy theory conversations for hours

If something weird comes up in a text message he catches it and immediately is like okay hold on, I’m going to add to this

This man will jump right onto anything

Movies, tv shows, shower thoughts, government conspiracies, and all of the above

Will sometimes get on the phone and just talk for hours on FaceTime or whatever

If he thinks or knows that you won’t like that, he’ll just text you

Sometimes he’s the one that texts you during the weirdest hours of the night since he’s always awake

always awake

And sometimes his coffee makes his brain go alive mode

You get the weirdest texts and so does he

Damian Wayne:

Has the best sleep schedule besides Dick

he is however the kind of person to either text, go to sleep beloved, sometimes make a comment, or leave you on read

It’s not that he’s trying to be rude, he’s just exhausted and wants to sleep

He will however text you in the morning about it

That’s appreciated but sometimes he’s so thrown off that he just has to respond

Brain buffering like no other

Just has to take a moment to process everything that has just been offered

will start interesting conversations about history or a tv show or book that you two have been enjoying

Makes sure to keep it relevant

Luke:

Won’t leave you on read but sometimes thinks about it

Has a limit to midnight and won’t answer conspiracy or shower thoughts past then unless it’s something very interesting or weird

Text arguments over something stupid

Is a very busy man but always prioritizes you

Will answer later on rare basis

Sometimes shower thoughts from the internet

If there’s a problem that he needs solved, he’ll text you sometimes in the weirdest hours of the night

Or just randomly in the middle of the afternoon

If anything that you send pertains to his work, he’ll answers immediately

Duke:

The most like Tim

A mix of a mother hen and also a feeder of the fire

Sometimes he just has to respond cause like

Yes water is wet

No the dress is gold and white

What are you talking about blue?

Starts weird conversations

Never leaves you on read and won’t think about it

Sometimes sleeps through your messages since he works through the day

Hard sleeper and can’t help that some messages don’t get read till he wakes up

Batboys with Red Room Trained S/O

Dick Grayson:

you guys meet while he’s robin and on the Young Justice team

they’re on a mission to protect some different diplomats from some assassins that the league suspects will be lurking around

those assumptions were correct because you were assigned to go

the team had seen you once you and your team were firing from the rooftops

they started going for you since you seamed to be the leader and M started using her mind control and mind reading on you

that’s when she shattered the neurological control that the red room had on you

they watched as you started stumbling and then fell over

“What’s happe-“ “Y/N location now” you heard in your ear

you suddenly remembered everything that had happened and pointed at Robin

“Give me your weapon.”

“What- no!”

M read your mind very quickly “Do it Robin!”

that’s when he did and you quickly cut the tracker that was in your neck out and crushed your ear piece

“You have a place to run to right?” you asked

and that was that

you started training with the team even though you were arguably leagues ahead of most of them

Robin was your only competitor so you would spend forever training and sparring together

that meant that you started to gain a connection

after a while he quite simply just couldn’t hide the feelings that he had very quickly developed

from quick russian remarks to wally and always seeming to know what to do, he just really really liked you a lot

you started dating after a while

this is when he finds out that you can’t have kids and all that jazz but we won’t touch on that since that’s specifically a woman thing and we all know what happens

whenever he moves to bludhaven, you go with him but you don’t join the police force

instead you’re doing work with the league since that’s all you’ve really known

maybe you’ll decide to drop it and just stick to some nightly work

dick appreciates that you two have some insane backgrounds and that you don’t really have set parents

you two end up having a ton in common which is kind of concerning but like it’s a small world

The only thing that really bothered him when he first met you was when the team was watching old Disney movies and you started reciting them in some reflective stupor

Jason Todd:

You’re fresh out of the Red Room since its fall

You were one of the top assassins there and so you really had nothing else to do but start doing your own thing your own way

there were some things that the red room trained you to do that you just won’t really do anymore since it’s so violent but you know sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do

you were in Gotham trying to take out a drug lord that you decided needed taking out

that was when you met Red Hood who was doing the same thing

He recognized your widow symbol and immediately was like waiitttttt a minute

during the time that you were in the Red Room, they partnered with the league

this was when Jason had been taken in the league

you were both there at the same time and were the same age so you were paired together a lot for training

since he was also a protege to Talia, and she was your mentor there, you were together because of that

He recognizes you really quickly since he knows faces really well even if they’re covered some by a mask

“Y/N?” “Since when did you get out of the Red Room?”

“huh? JASON TODD?”

you two start talking during the mission

it’s basically a highly trained Widow and Red Hood breaking bones and killing people while casually catching up

like very weird but somewhat oddly normal for what people might expect

you two kind of just move in together like as friends as first and then later you start dating

You and Artemis become best friends and Roy really likes you since you were trained in marksmanship and archery for a bit

he’s got a partner now for competition

Jason likes that you can take care of yourself

He starts taking bits of your own training and fighting style and incorporating it into his fighting

It kind of makes him a bit more dynamic and dare I say graceful during fighting

You guys are always together on mission and when you have to do things like go off and help another widow, he always waits and really misses you

The Batfam knows about your existence and Cass really really likes you a lot so she’s over a ton

You all have a lot in common

jason just thinks you’re amazing like

The man just loves you and always respects your boundaries since he knows that you would’ve had a LOT happen during your time in the Red Room

Tim Drake:

You two meet because you try and assassinate him

It was during a gala and he was outside since this was at Wayne Manor

You were stalking him in the shadows and when you got into a fight with him, you weren’t expecting him to pull some really weird red dust on you when he saw your symbol

like a gentleman he catches you when you stumble over from it

he then patches you up after you take the tracker and stuff out of your neck

makes sure that the Red Room can’t find you until it collapses

you weren’t really sure how he got the stuff that takes you out of your neurological condition but you are grateful that he had it

he sneaks you into the cave and starts running tests on you to make sure that you’re all good

He already knows about all of the surgeries that you were forced to have so he doesn’t really ask about that unless you say something about it

Bruce comes down because like Tim is nowhere else to be found and he sees you in your suit

uhhhhhhh wtf are they down here

Tim explains everything and you corroborate it since Batman isn’t very trusting

Bruce offers that you stay at the manor so that you aren’t found until the RR ends

he was definitely convinced by Tim

After getting over you trying to casually kill him that one time you guys become really fast friends

You both just know a lot of things about a lot of things and he really really likes that

You two bond over shitty parents and childhood issues and trauma because why not

He eventually asks you to be his S/O after you started dropping some hints

You both partner together during things at WE and finish your studies homeschool so that you can advance as fast as you want and not have to deal with school

you both hate school because it’s school and there are annoying snobby people everywhere

You meet all of his friends and they all love you

you and Conner really get along because you feel like sometimes your only purpose was the fulfill the political or darker needs of corporations and leaders

Tim isn’t jealous since he knows your background and that you wouldn’t do anything stupid against Tim

the trying to assassinate Tim becomes a very big inside joke between the two of you

“what would happen if *insert something dumb Tim would do*”

‘idk Drake, maybe I’d kill you”

*bursts of laughter* *because you’re both mentally unstable lokey high key*

Damian Wayne:

You two are friends as much as you two emotionally constipated babies can be

Like with Jason, you were training partners when the Red Room partnered with the league

since you were the top assassin you were paired with Damian

you didn’t really like him at first since he was snotty and privileged but eventually you made him respect you

that was when he started really seeing the cruelty that you went through

eventually though he left for Gotham and a little while later, the Red Room collapsed

the only person that you knew in the world was Damian so you went to Gotham to find him

imagine his surprise when you just show up one day

“Pennyworth who was at the door-“

uhhhhhhhhhhh

basically just tackles you trying to hug you

the only thing was that you’re not used to that kind of thing but at the same time like

DAMIAN HELLO AGAIN MY ONLY FRIEND (THAT’S STILL ALIVE)

sad but true

Bruce comes in and sees this when you yelp and then is like okay okay okay what’s going on

he basically interrogates you minus the light

Damian gets really defensive for you since he knows the atrocities that took place during your time in the Red Room

Bruce finds that you want to do the vigilante work but you didn’t really have the issue with killing people

yes you did assassin stuff but most of what you ended up doing was just quick sniper work and that wasn’t really a bad habit that you were having to get out of

Damian was kind of annoyed that you just adapted so well

that’s kind of the point of being a widow damian

you two actually start dating relatively quickly

you just bonded really well and since you already knew each other really well it wasn’t that big of a shocker

he is so proud of you and sometimes it feels like for no reason

he’s just like this is my beloved and they could kill you in 200 different ways and they’re also a lot smarter and overall better than everyone

if you have no self confidence now you do

you two help each other with nightmares since you both have them a lot

you also both really have a lot in common especially with the classics and just knowing things

although you never really had the stuck up issue

Batboys Realizing Their Sibling is a Speedster HC (Request)

So the family makes the choice to adopt you

And by that I mean Bruce decides to adopt you without really telling anyone

Like one day he just comes home and is like heyyyyyyyyyy how y’all doinnnnn

The boys are pretty fast to basically just accept you like oh hey you’re new

WanNA Go SuPErHeRO NoW?????

And basically you’re just the new sibling now

So they don’t really notice that you have powers

Like Bruce and Alfred know and they just assume that you’re like super obvious

It’s not that the boys don’t pay attention to you

Like that’s not the case at all since you’re their brand new sibling and they all really love you a lot it’s just that they’re kinda dumb sometimes

And by kind of, I mean really stupid

Tim is just too sleep deprived to really even notice

Like it doesn’t cross his mind that maybe the time that you can do things is humanly impossible

Shaking off injuries like nothing happened

And just like

Then Jason isn’t always there but when he is he’s always with his nose in a book or fixing something with his bike or guns

Dick just thinks that you’re really really energetic like he is

Calls you his mini me

Damian also thinks that as well

So when you’re finally fighting and suddenly you’re just zipping around everywhere it’s like wait wait wait I’m not the only one seeing this right

It’s like an acid trip for all of the boys

They don’t blame you for not saying anything cause it should have been stupidly obvious

Jason and Damian try to play it off like oh duh we knew totally

Dick is like WAIT SO YOU’RE NOT JUST A MINI ME

*cries*

Like this doesn’t change your position in this mini me but now he’s more understanding that you’re not just some random mini me

it’s all coming together now

Tim just is flabbergasted

Takes a minute to process and then he’s finally like oh oH OHHHHHH

He gets it now

First one to make the connections between why you do things so fast and recover from things so well

Bruce and Alfred find it hilarious

Like this was the most obvious thing they could have overlooked and suddenly you’re running at 120mph up walls and bodies of water

Seriously they question these boys sometimes

Pretty sure that if Duke and the girls are in the picture, they already know

They’re not stupid like the rest of them

Though I don’t put it past Steph to take a while, just figures it out before the boys

She always throws something like a waffle or drops her plate to see if you’ll catch it

Batboys Getting Dirt On Damian and Finding You Two Have Been Dating HC (Request)

The boys are always doing things like this on each other

When they raid Damian's things to look for evidence he always knows and chases them down

They're all a house of detectives so it's hard to get away with things like this

Anyways they go into Damian's room and start digging through things when they find a picture of you and Damian with Jon and Billy, you're kissing Damian on his cheek and Billy is taking the selfie picture while Jon makes bunny ears on Billy

they all let out a collective wtf

They knew that you two were best friends and always teased the two of you but
