Well Tom Holland starred in show recently. In the show, he plays a fictionalized version of a real life criminal.

The crowded room, is a series based around the real life POS Billy Milligan. A man who robbed, kidnapped and sexually assaulted four women. (Oh, and the naysayers demand I mention that: his character is only a made up fictional person that is only loosely based upon a horrible person. Okay?)

You'd think that is is where the controversy lies.

Ha! Yeah right! People don't give a shit about women! Who cares that the geniuses at Hollywood thought it would be cute to base a show around a horrifying disgusting vile rapist? No, that's OBVIOUSLY not the real problem here.

Nevermind, that his defense attorneys at the time were trying to excuse his sexual assaults with things like: "oh but he was assaulted too, uwu.. 🥺" or "it was one of his other personalities though....👉👈"

Yep. Billy Milligan allegedly had a couple of sexual encounters with men here and there, while in prison. And there's a scene in which Tom Holland's fictional version of said character does the same. This scene got a lot of backlash because people just didn't find that "spiderman" should ever be caught dead doing such a thing.

Hashtags soon started to circulate the internet sphere. Hashtags like: "not my spiderman'', etc. but most egregious, is probably the development within the marvel fandom, to speculate on his real life sexuality and preferences.

News flash, just because you play a fucking bisexual or gay CHARACTER, doesn't mean said actor or actress PORTRAYING them, is in fact, GAY.

Zendaya played a bisexual character in euphoria for crying out loud! Is she bisexual now too?

When you live in a society where people are not bothered by "spiderman" playing a criminal and literal rapist, and are bothered instead by the notion that said rapist may swing both ways... you know that society is just not worth preserving anymore.

It really speaks of such a sad statement of things, really. That people are so concerned with this whole: "straight is great" thing, that they would gladly dismiss and overlook a horrific injustice, like an unwanted assault. But would just as quickly condemn and mock the act of consensual homosexual acts.

It's so... fucking disheartening and disturbing.
