Summary: Sarah has been travelling with the Doctor and has fallen madly in love with the Time Lord. Will their feelings finally get the better of them?
Comments/Notes: I wrote this fic around 2014/15 and it is currently up on my AO3 page for reading, but I thought I would try it here and see how it goes. This is part 1 of 5, in a series called 'Cup of Tea and Jammie Dodgers'.
Currently I am keeping the tag list for this series completely separate from my main Follow Forever tag list, so if you'd like to be added to this tag list for Doctor Who, please let me know.
I hope you like the fic. As always, like, reblog and comment if you enjoy. If you wish to be added to any of my tag lists, let me know.
It didn’t matter how many times I tried to convince myself that he could love someone like me, I knew he never would. I was a mere human, nothing special, nothing fantastic. A man like him deserved an exotic woman from a distant planet who could match him mentally with her expertise in time travel and higher than average IQ. I couldn’t deliver on any of that. I was just a mediocre, run of the mill woman from central England.
The Doctor had come into my life quite by accident. He’d been the one to pick me up from a dark place and took me to the stars – literally. Over the time we’d travelled together in the TARDIS, he’d spoke of his previous companions and all of them seemed to have something to offer. But I just couldn’t see at all what had called him to take me to other worlds. Maybe I should have asked him as it was something I’d never brought myself to ask.
The last two or three days I’d tried my best to keep myself to myself while I let this confusion in my head unfold. Each day I’d retire quite early to the library or pool and so far he hadn’t really noticed. He was his usual self: bouncy, child-like, but always had that all too familiar sadness sitting behind his eyes. I’d only seen him cry once, but he’d smiled through the tears, pretending that he was being silly. But, to me, he’d never be silly. He was the most amazing man I’d ever known, and I’m sure everyone else that had met him thought exactly the same. So...why would I be any different?
The TARDIS, so far, had been big enough for me to hide. But not anymore. I was sat beside the pool, listening to my own thoughts, when I heard a gentle calling of my name. And there he was, stood in the doorway. When I first met him he hadn’t been the kind of man I’d have fallen for; he was boyish in his appearance with floppy hair, continuous hand gestures and a mad bowtie. Behind that and he was so much more. He was freedom, hope and a reason to live life expectantly. Since stepping on board the TARDIS, I woke up awaiting the wonder of a new world or the echoes of someone’s forgotten past.
He placed a freshly brewed cup of tea and a packet of Jammie Dodgers on the table beside me. His shoes squeaked on the tiles as he spun on his heel and sat on the edge of the recliner next to me.
“You don’t look dressed for swimming,” he said softly, looking at my attire of jeans and blouse.
“You never know what I might have hiding under here,” I laughed, looking down at my blouse, but as soon as I’d let the words fall off my lips, I realised my stupidity. I’d never been one to talk provocatively, no matter how hard I tried.
The Doctor let his expression gradually turn to a sad smile as he seemingly forgot my comment. Maybe he hadn’t seen the innuendo of it.
“Why have you been avoiding me?” he asked. “I had noticed even though you always tell me I don’t seem to notice anything.”
I sighed and shifted awkwardly in my seat. I wanted to tell him so badly how I felt. Every time I caught sight of him and I felt the butterflies set up residence in my stomach. I’d always been so guarded when it came to men and allowing myself to fall for them. There were still old scars inside me which hadn’t quite healed over completely. One of these scars was due to an old fiancée who had fallen out of love with me. He’d grown distant from me, finding more happiness in the company of others until he broke the relationship off. Maybe he hadn’t been the one so to speak, but he made me feel like I fit in with everyone else. With him and I could tell everyone that someone loved me. I could be like all my old co-workers and ex-school friends who I accidentally bumped into on the street. With the Doctor...oh, it was unlike anything I’d ever felt before. Unknowingly, he’d taken me from that need to be ordinary and like everyone else, transforming me into something else. I was different now. I travelled through time and space with a mad man in a blue box. What was normal about that?
How could I just let everything spill out? I suddenly felt hot and flustered. I needed to run.
I got up from my seat quickly, ignoring his protests for me to come back. The tears began to fall down my cheeks and a lump rose in my throat.
Suddenly I felt his hand around my arm and I was turned quickly, although not forcefully.
I looked into his eyes, those deep set eyes that had become so beautiful to me. Gradually I backed up against the wall, but he stepped forward, keeping the distance between us minimal.
My heart thundered in my chest and I looked down, unable to keep eye contact. “You’re playing with me,” I said sternly. “Stop it!”
“Somehow I believe you’re the better one at teasing,” he replied. His eyes had grown darker with something I couldn’t, in that moment, admit to seeing there. I just couldn’t admit it to myself that he might possibly feel something for me.
Then he raised his hand and cupped my cheek, his thumb gently rubbing away the one tear that had clung there. “My dearest Sarah,” he whispered. “You just don’t see it. None of it. You think beauty lies in the constellations, nebulas and galaxies. But I see all of that when I look in your eyes.”
“You chose me to travel with you, but why? Everyone else that you’ve had as a companion has had more about them...”
“Shhhh,” he said, growing agitated. “There’s a reason for each one of you passing through those doors. The TARDIS knows who I need, and she chose you for me, Sarah.”
How could he speak to me like this when he was married to River Song? Did Time Lords have a twisted idea of marriage and then sneak off with concubines? He was confusing me, and I think he sensed that.
“Doctor, you’re married to River. Why do you think I’ve kept away from you?” I asked, moving aside and out of the door. “How can I stand in front of the man I love day after day and know nothing can ever come of it? I age and die, you regenerate. It’s as though life enjoys playing sick games with you.”
I dashed down the corridor, trying to find my way back towards my room, but each and every time I attempted to get away, I kept coming back to the entrance to the pool. The Doctor stood there with his arms crossed.
“You know how the TARDIS works, Sarah. Don’t keep running away. You need to face up to problems in your life rather than keep running,” he told me.
“Oh, you’re a fine one to say that to me seeing as you took me from home!” I shouted. “You run from your past every day, Doctor. And you stand there preaching to me about it.”
I could see the frustration growing on his face and with no other words spoken he approached me quickly, and kissed me.
I tried to pull away but he had his hands on my cheeks, keeping me against him. As his lips moved, I knew I couldn’t keep the running routine up. He weakened me and I stood there completely defenceless, responding to his kiss. My arms wound around his waist and I groaned beneath our locked lips.
Gradually we parted, our breaths heightened.
He smiled at me and then pressed his forehead against mine. “Never think you’re unimportant. Never!”
*
The Doctor excused himself from my company a short time later, promising to come and see me once he’d taken care of some calculations and such in the main console room.
I took a quick swim and then had a shower, washing all of the chlorine out of my hair. But all the way through I couldn’t take my mind off the Doctor. Smiles kept coming out of nowhere and I must have looked like a lunatic to anyone watching. However, I knew I needed to learn of his intentions. Where would any kind of relationship go from here? Or would it be nigh on impossible. For today I needed to forget it all and just enjoy the moment. Living in the moment for the sheer fun of it was something I’d never been able to do. My mind had always been locked on the future, stressing about the what ifs and maybes of life.
After the shower, I returned to my room only to find that the single bed which was against the wall had now turned into a double, centred amongst the simple furnishings.
What on earth was the TARDIS doing? I’d been told countless times how she needed to be sure of a person and only allowed those on board who were important and integral to the Doctor’s travels. What was the reason behind my presence?
I stepped further into the room and slipped a hand down onto the crisp, white bed sheets. A tingle shot up my back making me shiver. The Doctor... and me...in this bed.
The door shut behind me and as I turned I saw him. His tweed jacket was missing and his shirt sleeves were rolled up.
“Been busy?” I asked.
“Not as busy as I’d like to be,” he replied. “I think you’ll make sure I have my work cut out for me.”
One thing I knew was for certain: if I made love to him here, tonight, things would never be the same for me. I couldn’t let this be a one night stand. My heart was his, completely. But was his heart mine?
“Doctor,” I whispered. “I can’t.”
He smiled at me. “I know you enough by now to know why. Truth is, I know I’m married to River, but my heart...or hearts,” he began. He stopped and chuckled. “My hearts aren’t there. I care for River but not in the same way I care for you. In my last regeneration, I felt this way for someone else.”
“Rose?” I asked. I knew it was her. Sometimes the way he spoke about her made everything so clear. She’d been his first love. He’d speak about other companions from his last regeneration like Martha and Donna, but the regret and sadness wasn’t present in his voice like when he mentioned Rose. His previous companions from this regeneration, Amy and her husband, Rory, had been his best friends, sharing in so many of his trials and triumphs. Where I fit in, I didn’t quite know.
“But...I’m different, Sarah. In this form I have my memories, but the feelings disappear...some of them.”
“You said that you left a clone of yourself with Rose so she’d never be without you. How am I supposed to walk away from all of this without you? And I mean you as you are now.”
“Isn’t it better to taste love once even if it’s not meant to last, than never taste it at all?” he asked me.
All reason and control left me and I leaned up to kiss him.
My hands wound up in his hair as his drifted down me, causing goose bumps to rise on my skin. I couldn’t help but let out a groan, momentarily feeling embarrassment, but that soon dissipated as I found myself being disrobed.
His lips inspected me carefully, inch by inch as we made sure no more clothing could get in the way. And shortly after, we lay amongst the fresh covers. He was leaning over me, kissing my neck passionately. I’d never seen him so primal and unrestricted.
I couldn’t help but arch my back as his lips travelled down my body, until he came to my inner thigh and it was then that I called out into the air.
“I don’t want to wait anymore,” I said, trying to get the words out coherently between the feelings which were bombarding me.
He never spoke but instead began kissing back upward, seemingly not missing an inch. And as his face came in front of mine, I took his lips back against mine but felt him enter me at the same time in one swift movement. On instinct and in shock I groaned under the kiss, and then he reciprocated.
We began to thrust against one another, matching one another’s movements and as we did, he took my hands in his. I could feel the ascension to my orgasm beginning and it became so quick the harder we pulsed into one another, until finally, I felt that last turbulent wave hit me. Whilst the orgasm pulsed through me, the Doctor groaned against my neck, signalling his release.
Breathlessly, he withdrew and lay beside me.
We let our breaths come back to normal before the Doctor reached over and began tickling me. Instantly I laughed, pulling away, but he came almost on top of me, attacking me with his hands. My insides hurt as I laughed over and over, until I found a way to get at him.
I lunged forwards, still giggling and began tickling him back in retaliation. His laughter filled the room until we settled down to sleep.
*
I woke to find that the space next to me had become vacant and the Doctor’s clothes had disappeared. Sighing, I got up, re-dressed and decided to take a walk down to the console room. Maybe he was in there, hovering over leavers and gauges...as per usual.
This time the TARDIS allowed me to walk smoothly into the console room, where I found him. I stayed by the door, watching him grinning like a happy child and hopping around the system, chattering away. Now that I’d experienced what it was like to not only travel with the Doctor, but allow him in, I knew I’d never be the same again.

Baking weekends : The surprise
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those gifs do not belong to me.
Heyyyyy! How are you lots ? As promised, here comes another episode of the baking week ends ! This follows up the event of "An hymne to love", as well as the last espisode, "Kiss the cook".
Anyway... Hope you enjoy !
Froggit-
Warning : there's a lot of fluff, mention of making out in the tardis. English is not my first language.
--------------------------
The grocery store seemed to be way too full for a Saturday morning. Paying for the few articles you had in your basket, you got out, frantically searching for your car. There was so little time until the doctor and Clara came back from another of their adventures.
Driving as fast as the law allowed you, you pulled up to your small cottage, sprinting toward your house, paper bags in hand. Your coat was quickly put on a hanger as your shoes went flying in the entry.
Washing your hands conscientiously, you tried to get your plan straight one more time, making sure nothing was missing.
You had wanted to surprise the Doctor for a long while now. Back when Amy and Rorry were still traveling with you, a brilliant idea had come to you in the form of a red recipe book. The cover was old and titled with circles and other intricate designs you soon realized, was Gallifreyan. Having seen the notes the doctor tended to leave in the console room for repairs the Tardis needed, it was only ever so obvious.
For the sake of this recipe, you had to go to small markets while on another planet, wanting to find every single ingredient of what the doctor had stated to be his favorite dessert back home. Finally opening the book, you couldn’t help yourself, and shed a tear as you saw the numerous yellow sticky notes on every page, annotations left by Donna, your previous self older sister.
"How can I be sure he ain't as rotten as the last one?"
Donna was upset to be keeped from such an important part of your life. If you were honest, you were sad to not be able to share it, but it was either that or losing her once more.
On that day, you had asked for her help, but she wanted to know more about that brilliant
stranger you said changed you in better ways.
"Do you reckon I would be baking for him if he weren't important?"
"Cor blimey, you two had been goin’ out for bleedin’ three years, and I still never met the bloke!"
“I told you he traveled an awful lot.” you let out passing by the radio and changing the station.
“Just spill it if he's scared of meeting mom.” She let out with a small laugh. You could only do the same, bumping her with your hip as you did so.
You missed her dearly, her and her sassy comebacks. Since your new “Regeneration” you haven't been able to see her. What would she even say ? She didn’t know this version of you, you didn’t even look the same, and putting her life at risk would be irresponsible. You had just hopped that may be one day you would meet her once more.
Putting up some energetic music, you wore your apron and got to work, sleeves put up to the elbow. The adventure only truly started now, something you waited so long to put up.
--------------------------
The doctor and Clara had been off all day, the brunette insisting on going a little longer, still waiting for your signal. The timelord was starting to be suspicious of Claras behavior, wondering what got his companion so energized for such a long adventure, he even was starting to wonder if she wasn’t a clone trying to keep him from earth longer than normal.
But like the over-excited traveler he was, he couldn’t put down the offer, for all he knew, he was expected back at your cottage by the end of afternoon. Today was a busy day for you, and even if he wanted to have taken you with them, you insisted for them to spend some time together. It saddened him of course, none the less he understood today wasn’t a good day to go off with her.
Right now, the doctor was admiring a beautiful fez he had found within the small shop he and Clara came across, visiting a brand new planet. Soon enough he felt his shoulder being tapped on by the said girl, a tired smile visibly drawing itself on her lips. Asking the doctor to take her home, Clara had just closed her phone, saving it in her back pocket.
After buying the fez, he seemed proud as he pushed the levers on the console. Rocking his new hat, Clara only could wonder if he would ever come across one without having to put it on. Even if she didn’t dream of seeing him less happy, she wanted the surprise that awaited him back home would light him up even brighter.
With the Brunette back at her apartment, the doctor had no patience in waiting some more and launched the Tardis. Soon, his foot touched the vast landing of grass, still illuminated as the sun slowly hid behind the clouds.
Without any hesitation, his hand found the ringing bell of the small cottage, his heart pounding harder and harder as the seconds got by.
Passing your head by the now unlocked window, the doctor seemed to ignite, happy to finally be back. “Darling, the door is open! Come on in!” Your hair was a mess, your glasses hanging from around your neck, beautifully portrayed by the light of the setting sun highlighting your figure. Smiling at you, the doctor entered the house, coming practically 10 seconds later face to face with you. “Well, welcome home Sweetheart”.
--------------------------
“I told you to not cheat! close those beautiful eyes before I smack you.”
The doctor was too curious to wait for the surprise you had put up for him. And right now, all he wanted was to take a tiny peak. But knowing how serious you could be about those things, he didn’t jocked around long before closing his eyes.
Soon you entered the room, a beautiful cake in your hands. Its sunny color, outshining the yellow of your apron. Slowing placing the cake before the Doctor. You gently brushed his shoulder. “Doctor, you can open them… ”
Finally letting go of his face, the man thought he was dreaming. Before him stood something that was supposed to be long gone, never to be seen again. And as he admired the wonderful pâtisserie, he couldn’t help but notice it wasn't just any Gallifreyan cake; it was a homemade one.
Both his hearts skipped a beat as he realized the significance of the gesture. Turning to his wife with a mixture of surprise and gratitude, he couldn't help but smile.
"Did you...?" he started, his voice filled with warmth and affection.
You couldn’t help but beamed with pride when you saw the love in his eyes. "Yes, Doctor. I thought since you couldn't go back to Gallifrey yet, I'd bring a little piece of it to you."
The Doctor's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as he looked at the cake, overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of your gesture. At this moment, all he could think of was how much he loved you, and how much you meant.
Taking a deep breath to steady his emotions, the Doctor rose from his chair, wrapping both arms around you, burying his head in the crook of your neck, trying to hide his tears as they got out of control. Pulling you into a tight yet comforting hug, all he could muster was a soft “Thank you” thick with all the love he could let out. "This... means more to me than you could ever know."
Your hand was now passing on his back, soothing him as much as you could. Your other tangled itself with his soft hair as you stood there for another minute. You never wanted this embrace to end. But as you pulled slightly away, you could only see how much the doctor truly meant every word.
With a gentle smile, you reached down, your hand slowly cradling his cheek as you leaned in softly, closing the distance between them. Your breath mingled, warm yet sweet as your lips brushed together in a soft yet passionate kiss. But as you parted, the doctor only tried to reach for your lips, making you snort softly at the surprised look on his face.
“I do believe we still have to taste the cake, now don’t we?”
“I- … yes”
“We will continue… this after…-”
--------------------------
And to say you had outdone yourself was an understatement. You would have expected it to taste funny with the numerous strange ingredients you had to add. It was heavenly, and by the doctor's face, you could only tell he was enjoying every second of it.
“Is it any good ?” Serving yourself another portion.
"Blimey, love! This... this is fantastic! Haven't had a nibble like this in eons... It's not just good, it's utterly brilliant! Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it!" He answered, still trying to shove more cake in his mouth.
Your cheeks flared up, genuinely happy, and proud you had done such good work. In the beginning, you feared it wouldn’t have the same taste as the one that existed back home, and you felt relieved that the doctor could recognize a fond memory in it.
--------------------------
It was safe to say, the cake did not survive long enough. You and the doctor, now cuddling in the softness of the Tardis covers.
After the cake had been devoured, you had to have a turn. The thankful kisses you gave one another, turned into a heated session of making out against the tardis console, his fingerprints still lingering on your inner thighs. And just like that it was you and him against the world once more.
His fingers passed through your short ginger hair as a comfortable silence installed itself. You looked up at him and could tell he had some questions about the whole surprise.
“You have a lot of questions don’t you ?”
“I always do…”
“Ask away then, I know you’re curious.”
Shifting slightly closer, the doctor leaned onto his elbow, making his face right above you. “How long did this take you ?”
Your hand reaching out for his jaw, you pulled a small but sad grin. “I started trying back when Amy was still traveling with us. Unfortunately, I died shortly after so… been planning longer than our wedding. ”
The doctor laughed slightly with you, remembering the chaotic moment. “And the recipe? Where did you find it? The Tardis database is still written in Gallifreyan as far as I’m aware of- ”
“No such trouble when you have learned to read it.”
“What..?”
“Why so surprised? Did you think I would traverse the universe for eons and not try to embrace your culture? What sort of wife would I be ?”
And just when he thought he couldn’t love you more, he did. His hearts swelled with pride as he looked into your eyes. Caressing your cheek, he kissed your forehead, brushing away some strands of hair still in the way.
“You truly are remarkable (Y/N).....”
“It goes both ways my Bowtie maniac.”
And as the sun rose again on the Tardis, the two lovers intertwined once more, laying one against another as close as you could, afraid time might slip by and take you both apart.
You couldn’t have dreamed of a better outcome.
--------------------------
Bonus :
“I knew Clara was up to something!” Complained the time lord only now realizing why his companion was so indecisive about where to land.
“Only figured now she had to keep you busy while I was baking?”
“That’s an awful trickery-”
“As far as I’m aware, if you hadn't been off, you wouldn’t have this wonderful fez of yours, now would you ?” Turning around him you swiftly took the red hat off his head, putting it on your own.
“Oi, mine-” He quickly tried to retrieve it, but knowing you it could be easy or involve a lot of running.
Dodging his hand, you took the opportunity to run off in the Tardis corridors singing “Nope, mine now!” as you ran across the control room.
“(Y/N)! ” The doctor was slightly panicked but it was just a matter of time before all of it evolved into laughter.

Chapter 1: An Unearthly Child
Emma Jones. A nineteen year old girl with a great sense of imagination and sometimes with a head over the clouds. Currently, she was in her family's home. It was night time and they were all going to have a series marathon, Doctor Who, and since Emma hadn't seen the classic.
The raven haired female was making some popcorn and poured the soda on seven glasses. She then carefully took them to the living room and placed them on the coffee table. Her necklace dangling around her neck; it was a clock pendant with Latin numbers.
Her arctic blue eyes scanned the room, colourful pillows laid on the wooden floor and the sofa had opened and was now a bed with many heavy sheets with floral designs on them. Once she finished setting everything up, her four foster older siblings and parents walked in. Each of them carrying bags with snacks and candy. Mostly jelly babies. All for the marathon.
Her foster mother, a soft featured woman with deep green eyes and strawberry blonde hair, dressed in hipster clothing, smiled at her as she set a plastic bag from the supermarket down. This was Jocelyn
"Ready to see the best classic show of all times, Ems?" Paul, the eldest of the siblings, asked her with a grin.
"I'm, uh, kind of terrified to be honest." she responded meekly. At his confused look, she continued. "I mean, until the sixth season, it's in black and white. What if I don't like it?"
"Because it's Doctor Who, Em Universe!" he exclaimed with a chuckle, his grin never leaving his face. "If you loved the 2005 series, then you'll like the classic too!"
Her foster father, a man with sharp features and grey eyes, sighed at his son. "For goodness' sake, Paul! Leave the poor girl alone."
The poor girl. These words echoed in the noirette's mind as she held her smile. People sometimes would call her that because of the way her parents, her biological parents, had abandoned her on the orphanage's stairs with only her name and the pendant. Of course, Mike, the father, didn't mean any harm. He knew that she could get overwhelmed easily, especially when someone was urging her too much.
Not long after this little conversation, they all had sat down on their seats and the first episode of the show had begun. Emma was sitting on one end of the couch, her head resting on the palm of her hand as she watched carefully.
It was odd seeing the Classic Who. So far she liked the plot and dialogues, but what she found weird was the special effects. Which was natural since she was used to the 2000s'.
As she watched Barbara and Ian entering the junkyard, she heard something crashing outside the house somewhere near the forest. Mike paused the episode as he and the others turned to the direction of the sound. Emma sighed, standing up. "I'm going to check it out."
"Be careful, sweetie!" Jocelyn's voice called out to her like the protective mother that she was. The light reddish-blonde turned to her sons with a stern look once she listened to the door closing. "Paul, Jax, go with her."
"Ma!" Jax whined as he threw his head behind. "Why me? Emma is a big girl."
"True, but it wouldn't be right to leave your sister go out alone. In the dark."
Jax scoffed as he stood up and made his way out. "She's not even our sister, I don't understand why bother." He muttered, but Jocelyn heard him and bit her lip. "Going after that freak."
Paul, who was standing by the main door, also heard it and slapped the back of his head. "Jerk." And the two exited the house with a flashlight each.
Meanwhile Emma was carefully stepping over large branches. She tripped on some rocks and scraped her hands and knees. Emma cursed under her breath and dusted her clothes off as she stood on her feet again. It was far too dark to see, so she turned on the flashlight on her smartphone. She looked around. Nothing. Just as she was about to return, she stopped when she heard some high-pitched sound coming from deeper into the woods. A part of her said that she should go and not investigate, but another was curious.
The latter won. Emma sighed and followed the sound. Soon she could also see; a faint burnt orange with a small tint of silver light glowing. Her curiosity increased and became more eager to find the strange glow. For a moment she felt like a character from the stories she read. Strange wasn't exactly the word she would use to describe this feeling. Warm, friendly and even hypnotizing were the words that seemed more appropriate to use.
Finally she reached her destination, the light was coming from what seemed to be a floating ring. Squinting her eyes, she took note that there were some strange symbols on it. Shapes. Curiouser and curiouser, Emma instinctively reached out to it. The light was warm as it brushed her fingers.
"Emma!" Paul shouted from far away. Emma snapped out of her trance as she looked towards the direction of the voice. She looked back at the ring and quickly grabbed it. The glow stopped and revealed the ring to be silver with baby blue on the inside. She inspected the symbols on it carefully, not noticing the two boys sliding down the hill and to her. "There you are! We've been looking for you!" But Emma did not respond. "What's that?"
She shrugged. "Just a ring."
She said plainly, not bothering to add that it was levitating or that it glowed. He wouldn't take her seriously and would say that her head played games. Maybe it did, but maybe it didn't.
Jax hugged himself, shivering. "Let's go back home! It's freezing here!"
Paul rolled his eyes at his younger brother and then lent his biker's jacket to Emma, putting it gently around her shoulders. He gently led her back to the house by the hand. Her eyes were glued on the ring even when they were back. Jocelyn offered to give her a chain and use it as a necklace. Emma accepted and then Jocelyn helped her to wear it. The black haired female touched the ring with the tips of her fingers as she made her way upstairs to her room.
She told the family that she wasn't feeling well and would watch the show some other time. Jax and the others, excluding Mike, Jocelyn and Paul, were annoyed that they'd have to postpone it. Emma ignored it since she couldn't do otherwise.
As she laid on her bed, her hands rested on her pendant and on the ring. She huffed and took yet another look at the strange band of unknown metal. The symbols on it seemed familiar. She shifted to her side and pulled under her bed a laptop, she opened it and started searching it on the internet. At first, she typed on the search box 'strange circular symbols' but it only showed her pictures from Doctor Strange's symbol. She rubbed the bridge of her nose, deleted the words and thought for a moment. Where had she seen them before? Emma looked down at the ring around her neck.
She set the laptop away and laid on her back. She took a look at her phone for any calls or texts, and the put it into her pocket. She the looked up at the ceiling until she felt her eyelids getting heavier and drifted into a dreamless sleep.
After what seemed to be like hours, Emma woke up at the sound of something falling. She yelped in surprise as she sat up. What the. . .? The black haired female thought as she stared around at her surroundings. Not only wasn't she in her room but everything was in black and white. She rubbed her eyes but nothing. This has to be a dream. . .
"Blast! I dropped it!" a male voice said, Emma stood up abruptly in shock as she stumbled backwards.
"What?" another voice, a female, asked.
"The torch!"
"Well, use a match!"
"No, I haven't got any. Oh, never mind."
Emma slowly walked backwards, now seeming hard to breath, until her back bumped into something. She let out a small screech. The two people in there heard it and continued searching for the voice into the junkyard - now somewhat in darkness. Emma stared behind her to see the TARDIS.
"Susan?! Are you alright?"
"Susan? Susan?" The man started up a short flight of stairs which led to the building at the back of the yard. Emma placed a hand on her mouth, trying not make any sound as she also tried not to cry. This must be a nightmare, or a cruel joke. "Susan?" He came back down. "Susan! Mr. Chesterton and Miss Wright!" Emma tensed at the mention of the names. No. This can't be real. It's impossible. He looked behind the stairs then, quietly to himself. "Can't have got out without us seeing her?"
"Ian. . . look at this!"
Emma quickly hid at the side of the blue box. Barbara had found the Police Box, which stood next to the stairs.
"Well, it's a police box! What on earth's it doing here? Well, these things are usually on the street. . ." Ian put his hand on the box's side whilst saying this but he stopped dead in surprise. He touched it with his full hand, more firmly. "Feel it! Feel it!" Barbara quickly put the back of her hand on and off the side of the box. "Did you feel it?"
"It's a faint vibration. . . ."
He took a step back from the box as he said. "It's alive!" Ian quickly walked around the back of the box as Barbara waited. Emma, unfortunately, wasn't fast enough to hide and he saw her. "Barbara, there's a girl here!"
"A girl?"
"Yes." Emma shuddered back in shock and fear as she instinctively hid the necklace and ring into her hoodie's pocket. Ian let out his hand toward her. "Hello, there's no need to be afraid." She did not respond, she simply stared at him, unsure whether this was a dream, a prank or worse. "What's your name?" Again nothing. "Listen, we are not here to hurt you. We want to find a student of ours. Susan. Have you seen her?"
"I. . ." Her voice came out like a small squeak. "No. . ." She shook her head, not knowing how she should even reply to that. Should she tell them the truth or would that have bad consequences? "Who. . . Who are you? The both of you."
"Ian Chesterton," He gestured to himself and then to the woman. "Barbara Wright." He turned to the younger female again. "Can you tell us your name?"
"That's not possible." she muttered, ignoring his question for the moment, trembling in the meantime. "You can't be real. You are not real."
The teachers shared a look. Ian spoke again. "I assure you, miss, we are very real. Now, care to enlighten us with your name?"
"My name is Emma." she replied reluctantly. "Emma Jones."
As she stepped into the light, and the two adults could see her better, they stared in slight shock. She tilted her head to the side in confusion until she looked at what she was wearing; shorts, a hoodie with a logo which read 'BOSS' vertically, converse shoes and plain shocks. From their perspective, she was completely out of her time and she could see why.
Her cheeks grew hot from embarrassment and decided to change the subject. "Uhm. . . You were talking about the, uh, Police Box."
"Oh right! It's not connected to anything, unless it's through the floor."
Barbara sighed. "Look, I-I've had enough. Let's go, get miss Jones out of here and find a policeman."
"Yes, all right. . ."
A coughing sound echoed through the junkyard from outside the gates.
"Is that her?"
"That’s not her. . ." The gate creaked open. Ian grabbed Emma's hand. "Quick!"
They hid behind the stairs. An old man walked into view. Seemingly in his mid seventies or late sixties, with straight, slightly long white hair, wearing an Astrakhan hat, cloak and scarf. He coughed and waved a handkerchief to clear the air. He walked up to the box, pulling out a key and, holding a slim pen flashlight in the other hand, started to insert the key into the lock set into the box's door.
A cheerful feminine voice exclaimed. "There you are, grandfather!"
"It’s Susan!" Barbara whispered but was shocked, Ian hushed her.
The old man heard them. He pocketed the key and shined the torch on the stairs as Ian came out of hiding. "Excuse me. . ." He said sheepishly.
The old man shined the pen torch at his face. "What are you doing here?"
"Uh, we're looking for a girl."
"We?"
Barbara stepped into view as she gently held Emma's arm. "Good evening."
"What do you want?"
"Um. . . . one of our pupils, Susan Foreman, came into this yard." Ian responded. "And we found miss Jones here too."
There was a smile on the elder's face. "Really? In here? Are you sure?"
"Yes. We saw her from across the street." said Barbara
"One of their pupils. Not the police, then. . . ." the old man muttered to himself.
"Er…I…I beg your pardon??" asked Ian
The old man fixed Ian with a stare. "Why were you spying on her? Who are you?"
"We heard a young girl's voice call out to you. . . ."
"Your hearing must be very acute. I didn't hear anything."
Barbara pointed at the box. "It came from in here!"
A flash of fear crossed the older man's face. "You imagined it."
"I certainly did not imagine it!"
The old man pulled Ian by the arm to one side. "Young man. . . Is it reasonable to suppose that anyone would be inside a cupboard like that, hmm?"
"Would it therefore be unreasonable to ask you to let us have a look inside?"
The elder's attention was suddenly drawn to a painting amid the junk. He picked the painting up. "I wonder why I've never seen that before. Now, isn’t that strange? Pretty damp and dirty. . . hmm. . ."
"Won't you help us? We're two of her teachers from the Coal Hill School. We saw her come in and we haven't seen her leave. Naturally, we're worried. . . ." Barbara said, trying to reason with him.
But he wasn't paying attention and then muttered to himself. "Have to be cleaned. . ." He suddenly seemed to notice her again. "Mmm? Oh, I'm afraid it's none of my business. I suggest you leave here."
He put the painting back down and walked back to the Police box, the TARDIS.
"Not until we're satisfied that Susan isn't here and, frankly, I don't understand your attitude. . ." Ian said
"Oh, yours leaves a lot to be desired."
"Will you open the door?"
"There's nothing in there!"
"Then what are you afraid to show us?"
"Afraid? Oh, go away!"
Ian turned to Barbara. "I think we'd better go and fetch a policeman."
"Very well." said the old man
"And you're coming with us."
"Oh. . . am I?" He chuckled. "I don't think so, young man. No, I don't think so..."
Barbara whispered to Ian. "We can't force him!"
"But we can't leave him here! Doesn't it seem obvious to you he's got her locked up in there?" Ian whispered back, Barbara nodded. "Look at it!" The old man was standing away from them again, now seemingly examining a small jug but his real attention was occupied by the teachers conversation as Ian examined the box's door. Emma, on the other hand, was far too stunned to even utter a word as she stood aside. She still couldn't believe that there was the slightest possibility that this was real. She refused to believe it. "There's no door handle. . . must be a secret lock somewhere."
"That was Susan's voice." said Barbara
"Of course it was! Susan. . . Susan? Are you in there? It's Mr. Chesterton and Miss Wright, Susan!"
The old man, the Doctor, spoke. "Don't you think you're being rather high-handed, young man? You thought you saw a young girl enter the yard. You imagined you heard her voice. You believe she might be in there. It's not very substantial, is it?"
"But why won't you help us?" asked Barbara
He put the jug back down and faced the teachers. "I'm not hindering you. If you both want to make fools of yourselves, I suggest you do what you said you'd do. Go and find a policeman. Also, why aren't you taking an example from her." He pointed at Emma who yet again tensed. "She is the only one who minds her own business."
"While you nip off quietly in the other direction." said Ian
The older man momentarily closed his eyes. "Insulting." He faced them again. "There's only one way in and out of this yard. I shall be here when you get back. I want to see your faces when you try to explain away your behaviour to a policeman."
"Nevertheless, we're going to find one. Come along, Barbara. Miss Jones."
The two teachers turned their backs on the old man while dragging the other female along, toward the gate. They've taken only a step when the door of the box opens.
"What are you doing out there?" Susan's voice was heard.
Ian then shouted. "She is in there!"
Suddenly the old male rushed at the two teachers, trying to hold them back. "Close the door!"
"Barbara!"
As Ian struggled with the elder, Barbara dashed through the box's open door and into a large brilliantly lit white room. The walls were covered with circular, indentations. A hexagonal-shaped control console with a cylindrical tube inset in the centre with machinery visible inside. Various antiques decorated the place. A monitor was set into the upper wall. A shocked Susan walked from behind the console. The old man, Emma and Ian walked inside behind Barbara.
"Close the doors, Susan." The girl, Susan, activated a switch on the console, and the large double doors behind the group closed with an electronic hum. "I believe these people are known to you."
"They're two of my schoolteachers! What are you doing here?"
Barbara looked around in wonder as she asked, "Where are we?"
"They must have followed you. That ridiculous school - I knew something like this would happen if we stayed in one place too long."
"But why should they follow me."
"Is this really where you live, Susan?" asked Barbara
"Yes."
"And what's wrong with it?" the old man asked
"But it was just a telephone box. . . ." Ian said
"Perhaps."
"And this is your grandfather. . ?" asked Barbara
"Yes." replied Susan
Barbara addressed the old man. "Well, why didn't you tell us that?"
"I don't discuss my private life with strangers."
"But it was a police telephone box. I walked all round it! Barbara, you saw me!" Ian said
Emma remained quiet, not wanting to draw any attention to herself as she felt this could just be a silly prank plotted by her adoptive brothers. The old man looked very much like the first Doctor, just like the others looked like the actors from the classic show. The Doctor crossed to an antique ormolu clock on a nearby stand. "You don't deserve any explanations. You pushed your way in here, uninvited and unwelcome."
"I think we ought to leave...." Barbara said
"No, just a minute." said Ian and he crossed to the the strange elder.
The Doctor muttered to himself as he examined the clock. "Dear, dear, dear, this is very…."
"I know this is absurd, but I feel. . . I walked all around it!"
The Doctor's attention was still occupied by the clock. "It's stopped again, you know, and I've tried. . ." He took notice of Ian. "Hmm? Oh, you wouldn't understand at all."
And he walked back to the console. Ian followed him. "But I want to understand!"
The Doctor was uninterested. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes." He removed his cloak and scarf over an old chair, keeping his hat on. "Oh by the way Susan, I've managed to find a replacement for that faulty filament. Bit of an amateur job, but I, er, I think it'll serve."
The Doctor took an electronic object out of his pocket and walked to the console. He started to insert the object into the console, effecting repairs.
"It's an illusion. It must be. . ."
"What is he talking about now?"
Susan asked her teachers again. "What are you doing here?"
The Doctor coughed quietly to gain their attention. "You don't understand, so you find excuses. Illusions, indeed? You say you can’t fit an enormous building into one of your smaller sitting rooms?"
"No." Ian responded
"But you've discovered television, haven't you?"
"Yes. . ."
"Then by showing an enormous building on your television screen, you can do what seemed impossible, couldn’t you?"
"Well. . . yes, but I still don't know. . ."
"It’s not quite clear, is it? I can see by your face that you're not certain. You don't understand." He laughed. "And I knew you wouldn't! Never mind." He turned back to the console. "Now then, which switch was it. . . ? No, no, no. . . . Ah yes, that is it!" He flipped the switch. "The point is not whether you understand. . ." He turned back to Ian. "What is going to happen to you, hmm?" He turned to his granddaughter. "They'll tell everybody about the ship now."
"The ship. . .?"
"Yes, yes, ship! This doesn't roll along on wheels, you know."
"You mean...it moves?" asked Barbara
"The TARDIS can go anywhere." said Susan
"TARDIS? I don't understand you, Susan."
"Well, I made up the name TARDIS from the initials."
Emma couldn't help herself as she blurted out in excitement. "It stand for Time And Relative Dimension In Space!" Then all eyes fell on her, as if now noticing her presence. Her cheeks heated up while she stared at her feet. "Sorry."
Susan grinned at her. "Yes! That's right! Don't apologize! You understood when you saw the different dimensions inside from those outside, correct?"
"Something like that."
Ian shook his head. "So. Let me get this straight. A thing that looks like a police box, standing in a junkyard. . . it can move anywhere in time and space!?"
Susan exclaimed, "Yes!"
"Quite so." said the Doctor
"But that's ridiculous!"
Susan, exasperated, turned to the Doctor. "Why won't they believe us?"
"Well, how can we?" asked Barbara
The Doctor put his hands on Susan's shoulders. "Now, now, don't get exasperated, Susan. Remember the Red Indian. When he saw the first steam train, his savage mind thought it an illusion too."
"You're treating us like children!" exclaimed Ian
"Am I? The children of my civilization would be insulted."
"Your civilization?"
"Yes, my civilization. I tolerate this century, but I don't enjoy it. Have you ever thought about what it's like to be wanderers in the fourth dimension? Have you? To be exiles?" He motioned to himself and Susan. "Susan and I are cut off from our own planet, without friends or protection. But one day. . ." He gazed into the distance, his arm around Susan. ". . . we shall get back. Yes, one day. . .one day. . ."
Susan was a little distraught as she faced the teachers and Emma. "It's true. Every word of it's true. You don't know what you've done coming here. . ." She turned to the Doctor. "Grandfather, let them go now, please! Look, if the teachers don't understand, they can't. . . they can't hurt us at all! I understand these people better than you. . . their minds reject things they don't understand. . ."
The old man's icy look was his answer. The girl's words seized up in her throat. "No." He walked to the back of the room.
"He can't keep us here. . ." Ian said
"Susan, listen to me, can't you see that all this is an illusion? It's a game that you and your grandfather are playing, if you like. But you can't expect us to believe it." said Barbara
"It's not a game!' said Susan
"But, Susan. . ."
"It's not! Look, I love your school. I love England in the 20th century. The last five months have been the happiest of my life. . . ."
"But you are one of us. You look like us, you sound like us. . . ."
"I was born in another time. Another world."
"Now look here Susan, you. . ." Ian finally gave up and grabbed Barbara's and Emma's arms. The latter let out a surprised yelp. "Oh come on, Barbara, miss Jones, let's get out of here."
They walked towards the wall, the teachers were trying to find the doors.
"No, you two can't get out. He won't let you go."
A high pitched whining sound echoed through the room. At the console, the Doctor was laughing. Emma's head started spinning, she held it with both her hands, she rested her back on the wall and slid down to the floor. Ian pointed at the console and said, "He closed the doors from over there." He moved toward it. "I saw it. . ." He looked over the console. "Now which is it. . . ? Which is it?" He turned to the Doctor. "Which control operates the door?"
"You still think it's all an illusion. . ." said the Doctor
"I know free movement in time and space is a scientific dream I don't expect to find solved in a junkyard!"
"Oh, your arrogance is nearly as great as your ignorance!" laughed the Doctor
"Will you open the door? Open the door!" The Doctor laughed again. "Susan, will you help us?"
"I mustn't! I mustn’t!" Susan replied
Ian sighed and faced the console. "Very well then. I'll have to risk it myself."
"I can't stop you. . ." said the Doctor with suspicious acceptance. The old man's hand brushed a switch just as Ian's came down on a button.
Susan tried to warn Ian. "Oh, don’t touch it! It’s live!"
The shock flung Ian to the floor. "Ian!" Barbara exclaimed, she helped him up and shouted at the Doctor. "What on earth do you think you're doing?"
"Grandfather, let them go now! Please!"
"And by tomorrow we shall be a public spectacle. A subject for news and idle gossip."
He resolutely turned to the console. Susan moved to stop him. "But they won't say anything. . ."
He clapped hands on the girl's shoulders. "My dear child, of course they will. Put yourself in their place. They're bound to make some sort of a complaint to the authorities - or at the very least talk to their friends." He wagged his finger at her. "If I do let them go, Susan, you realise of course we must go too."
"No. Grandfather, we've had all this out b…"
"There's no alternative, child."
"I want to stay! Look, they're both kind people and the girl looks trustworthy too. Why won't you trust them? All you’ve got to do is ask them to promise to keep our secret and. . ."
"Ιt's out of the question."
"Can't you see that this girl--" Susan pointed at Emma who was still holding her head in her hands. "--Is terrified?"
"That's not my concern."
"I won't go, grandfather. I won't leave the 20th century. . . I'd rather leave the TARDIS and you!"
"Now you're being sentimental and childish."
"No, I mean it."
The Doctor looked at her, the teachers and Emma's form and seemed to reach a decision. "Very well. Then you must go with them. I’ll open the door."
He turned to the console. Barbara asked the girl, "Are you coming, Susan?"
The Doctor started to activate switch after switch on the console.
"Oh no grandfather, no!" exclaimed Susan and she grabbed at him, trying to pull him away.
"Let me go!" shouted the Doctor
"No!"
He kept activating controls despite Susan's best efforts. The room started to shake as the lighting within pulses. Instruments and dials on the console burst into life.
"Get back to the ship’s side! Hold it. . ."
The shaking worsened, and the teachers were flung across the room, Barbara into a chair, Ian onto the floor and Emma slid on the other side of the room- a raucous grinding engine sound rose and fell through the room, the cylindrical column begun to rise and fall. And on the monitor, an overhead view of London was shown, that shrunk, faded and was replaced by a blinding vortex of light and energy.
Hello! As you guys can see, I am going to start the fanfic from the first series. Of course, I am not going to do EVERY single episode (as I mentioned on the description) but the events would still occur. I might do twenty/fifteen episodes of the first 6 seasons because they are like 60 episodes each. I am crazy but not that crazy.
Also, I originally wanted this to be a Doctor x Reader but I realized that my plans (for the future chapters mostly) may not match the reader. I know that it's a lame thing to say since most of the content I write is x reader but I had to do this in this fanfiction. I promise that I'll try write a somewhat similar fanfiction if you guys want to.
About Emma. . . I know that I made some stuff a bit too dramatic with her family (especially with emphasizing the fact that she is adopted and some of the members do not accept her) and that I added too much information too soon but it was a necessary way to introduce her character and have a better understanding of her personality as the story goes.
Emma's and the Doctor's relationship will take a long time to develop into something more than friendship but there will be some signs that one of the two has a crush on the other a bit later on the show. In other words, this is going to be one of the longest slow burns.
Anyway, that's all for now! Hope you have an amazing day/night!!!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Heyo...so I've got some ideas for OCs specifically in Doctor who. The characters I may create will be related to classic eras, modern eras as well as Academy Era of doctor who. Because the characters in the deep lore of Gallifrey are rather interesting.

Welcome!
Tumblr media
|| this is an oc x canon blog ||
meet Venus the Novaket! he's part of a high empathy race of aliens that happen to look similar to cats. his race is also very technologically advanced! problem is, he crash landed on a more primitive planet and had to pose as a love god for a couple hundred years until the Doctor came along and helped him!
the Novaket (star cats) are a species that had bonded with the Time Lords. they have the ability to tap into people's emotions, but not their memories or anything similar. the Novaket are a species that have two stomachs, with slowed down digestion and no need to eat as often. Venus' clan of Novaket specifically also have an extra pair of lungs, best for living on the mountains.
the Novaket have their own sort of Regeneration. they call it Reincarnation, where when they die their souls return to stardust and return home to the Novaket, no matter where they were and no matter where the Novaket are.
they were forced to flee their planet during the Time War, as the Daleks destroyed it. as they were fleeing, there was a malfunction with Venus' lifepod that caused him to be ejected when he was only a couple years old. he stayed on that planet until he was 250 years old, when he finally figured out how to activated his pod's distress signal. which caused him to be saved by The Doctor!
since then, his species has disappeared. nobody has found them after they had fled. Venus thinks he is the only one left. but he is not.
|| feel free to ask me about making your own Novaket! I'd love to talk details on how to make one! and please tag me in making one! ||

Doctor Who OC: Estelle Williams
Estelle Williams was many things. She was a wannabe fantasy author, a somewhat reluctant college student, the daughter to two amazingly kind parents (and the annoying younger sister to an equally annoying older brother), and she also thinks that she might be having a quarter-life-crisis. Her daily routine of getting up, going to college, maybe working a shift at the small cafe next door, then coming back home, was starting to wear thin on her. And the same faces and people she kept seeing around her tiny hometown every single day would be enough to eventually drive anyone up the wall. Estelle felt as though her life was at a bit of a standstill, the joy she used to get from writing stories was also beginning to disappear, and worst of all, her nightmares were back. It was obvious that something was needed in the young woman's life to bring her out of the rut that she had found herself in. But she wasn't expecting that thing to be a bowtie-wearing madman with a blue police box, who also happened to be the childhood imaginary friend of her future sister-in-law. What Estelle also didn't expect, was that she would end up travelling across time and space with this man, saving people, meeting different monsters and alien races, going to places that she could never have imagined, running a lot, and most of all, falling in love with said bowtie-wearing madman. What could possibly go wrong?
Faceclaim: Saoirse Ronan
Love Interest: Eleventh Doctor, Clara Oswald
Personality: Hyperactive. Talkative. Passionate. Curious. Eager. Impatient. Compassionate. Smart. Pigheaded

11th doctor Mission : Save the king
Tumblr media
This gif do not belong to me.
Heyy! This fic is a little longer then the last one. Wanted to do a propper adventure for the doctor and Clara to follow. This one is also cought in a time paradox. You will be presented as Jeanne du Berry, Favorite of the King Louis XV. I inspired myself with the plot of "The girl in the fireplace". Hope you enjoy !
Froggit-
Warning : Could be concidered Angst at the end, with a preestablished relationship. Mention of prostitution. As always, english is not my frist language.
------------------------
“Jeanne du Berry '' was one of the most beautiful women the 18th century had ever seen. From Lorraine to Paris, her beauty was jealous of many, as she attracted all eyes wherever she went. A tall and skinny figure, adorning wonderful pale skin. Her blue eyes looked so innocent, yet she knew how to make use of her charms. Her Long brown hair bleeding into blond as she walked amongst the sun.
She was also known as the favorite of the king, the one who had been part of his most desired dreams by the ladies of the court. Yet, by his side, she never wanted to change who she was and try to be another woman with the numerous étiquettes she was supposed to follow. It wasn’t her place to be. All she wanted was to love the king, make him laugh, let him know he deserved to be treated like a normal individual, to let his title aside when he was by hers. To love him for who he was, and not what he was supposed to be.
After the death of the previous queen, Jeanne rose to power. The king’s daughters all wanted to see her fall, to see her lying in the dirt like the prostitute she was. A whore who had no right to be by their father's side.
Fortunately enough, Jeanne had what it took to ignore the pretentious princesses all too worried about their reputation to care for their father's feelings. And despite giving her best to be kind around her, something was lurking. Wanting her to be a part of something bigger. A piece of machinery well wired who needed guidance in the more gruesome ways.
As she entered her quarters, the king's valet was waiting for her.
"Sa Majesté souhaite que vous l’honoriez de votre présence ce soir pour le bal..."
(His Majesty wishes you to honor him with your presence tonight for the ball...)
"Faites-lui savoir que je me présenterais avec joie à ses côtés."
(Let him know that I would gladly present myself at his side.)
—--------------
As the doors of a blue police booth opened, a little brunette had taken a look outside, outstanded by the beautiful scenery.
The doctor hadn’t lied. Versailles was beautiful at this time of the year. In her dark blue dress, she also looked magnificent, a candy to the eye some would say. Her hair, up in a simple updo, refusing to wear one of those tall and overly done wigs (She had tried to before, but it was too itchy to even keep. Plus, if she needed to run, it would be a disaster).
As she turned around, she fell eye to eye with the doctor trying to activate the chameleon system of the Tardis. For the occasion, he had put on a magnificent Blue-tailed coat, with an intricate chemise, adorned with a waistcoat of a darker shade of blue. He hadn’t put a wig on either and preferred to hide it with a magnificent officer hat.
“Doctor, Hurry up, I don’t think we should be late for such an event! ”
“There is only so much I can do Clara !” Said the doctor trying to make the Tardis invisible.
“There seems to be something preventing her from disappearing… A force field or something of the sort. Which is weird since I closed the last one. ” He continued, still searching for the issue.
“Last one ?”
“Yes, well it wasn’t quite a force field, more of a time portal. Had a wonderful night with Madame de Pompadour on the occasion. Wonderful woman I might add.” He said while finally resolving their little camouflage problems. “Ah ha!”
“We may go now ?“ Pressed Clara, still waiting by the door.
“Yes !”
—--------------
The Ballroom was extraordinarily beautiful. Filled with too many of the richest people in the country. If she was being honest, Clara found it rather charming, yet felt a little uncomfortable around so many gorgeous women and men.
Elbows locked with the doctors, the assembly awaited for the king to arrive, rearranging themself as he was announced.
“Sa majesté le roi !”
As dictated the etiquette, Clara and the doctor bowed before him and returned to position once he had passed. The brunette found it rather hilarious, trying to retain a smile as she graced the floor. Checking for the doctor's eyes, she found him deep in thought, as if he had seen something he had wished to unsee.
But before long another person was announced.
“Madame la Comtesse du Barry !”
And here she was, the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. She wasn't wearing any fancy wigs, her hair let down on her shoulders, decorated with white and long feathers. Her dress was assorted to the cream-white coat the king was adorning. Her trail seemed to be as long as the ballroom as she gently walked towards him.
Once before the king, she presented herself, but as she did so, her eyes couldn't quit his, making the others start chattering, breaking the silence that once stood in the room. And as she did it two other times, Clara looked at the doctor, confused by what was happening before her.
But soon enough, the chatter was silenced by the music starting, a soft yet charming baroque rhythm playing in the assembly. And as the crowd arranged to dance, The Comtesse had in mind something rather scandalous for both her and Her Majesty. Taking his hand in hers, she accompanied him to the middle of the ballroom and started dancing with him. As everyone stopped to look at them, the Doctor couldn’t stop himself from seeing something he would have wanted to avoid.
All he could see was the golden bracelet around her right wrist, a piece of jewelry he knew wasn’t what it seemed. A shimmer perhaps? Whoever was dancing with the King wasn’t the real woman, a copycat at best, and looking at most of the guests, some wore the same one, hiding it under exaggerated sleeves.
“Doctor? Is something wrong…?”
“Very wrong…” Catching the girl's hand, he went to one of the hallways, trying to drown out the noise as he thought of a plan. “I guess I know now why I had so much trouble with the Tardis. We might have some uninvited guests… and a portal inside the castle.” He let out flapping his hands about.
“Why would someone want to invade Versailles in the 18th century? ”
“Lots of reasons…! An alien could easily overthrow someone else to get what he wants from it, by preparing a future terrain… Now, what I don’t understand is why choosing the favorite of the king and not the king himself.”
“Maybe he is the next target…? ”
“They would have already done it. Or-” Then it occurred to him that the king had been gone for months before the ball. Giving enough time for those who wanted to hurt him to take place within the court. “Or it was easier to blend in…” He turned toward Clara, excited by his breakthrough, but the frown on Clara's face made him get on track.
—--------------
Being attached to her bed was not really how she expected her reunion with the king. Her arms stretched too far for her to reach her feet tied to the end of the bed, unable to move. She was stuck and worried sick. Worried for her son, worried for the king-
The room which seemed so calm and charming was now giving her chills as she knew she would soon be killed by those imposters. All of them had left her alone, wanting to partake in the king's murder. The silence was slowly killing her. She had tried to cry for help, but the music seemed too loud for someone to hear.
Tired of her luck, she took a deep breath one last time and called, her vocal cords trying to hold as she begged to be let out of this situation.
And soon enough commotion  was noticed by the woman, making her cry once more. Begging whoever was in the hallway to walk into the room. A weird whirring noise was heard, then the lock gave out, leading the door to open.
Before her, stood a tall youthful young man, with unruly brown hair, sticking up in some places. Behind him, a beautiful woman, seemingly the same age as him, wearing a magnificent blue dress.
“Excuse me, sir…, do you happen to know how to get me out of those bindings ?”
“Please do not Sir… Just call me the Doctor. ” The man said while coming closer to the headboard. Using his sonic screwdriver manages to get her out of the metallic bindings.
“ The Doctor? What a particular name… Is it your occupation or is it a title ?”
“More of a title.”
“What a pity, your hands seem adept at such handy work.” Said Jeanne as her own were finally freed. Soon enough she was off the bed, standing before the two travelers. “Regrettably, there’s no time for discourse, for my liege is threatened with poison by one of those deceitful fellows. One has assumed my likeness, and I dread I may be implicated in the scheme.”
“We may be of assistance!“
“I would have expected as such.”
“Those individuals as you call them, what do you know of them ?” Asked clara, stepping beside the doctor.
"From what I saw, they resemble humans with crystal antlers protruding from their foreheads. Lacking noses, they still appeared capable of breathing. One among them spoke of a civil conflict back in their homeland, mentioning something termed 'the hour of joy,' if memory serves."
“Ow! How stupid could I be! Of course!” Said the Doctor, slapping his forehead frustrated he had let such information sleep through. “ To flee the war they had to have a way out. That’s why there is a time vortex opened. They want to kill the king so it would be easier to find a new home for their people in one of the most influential countries of her century.”
“Doctor? Do we have a plan ?”
“Need to find the portal and send them somewhere other than here.”
“How do we do that ?”
“Simple” The doctor confirmed while scanning the room. “As expected. Jeanne, has there been any renovation in your room while the king was away ?”
“A painting of the king had been installed in my room…”
“Clever! Now could you show me where that would be ?”
Not losing any time, Jeanne convail them in a small room, adjacent to the bed. A rather large library awaited behind. In the middle of the room, was a soft red sofa, invaded by all sorts of books and before it stood a medium painting of the king.
Putting out his sonic, the doctor took it upon himself to jump on a chair and try to open what was hiding the portrait. “Here you are” As the painting got off the wall, a mix of wires had been discovered, a large panel hidden behind.
After reversing its polarity, the doctor finally was able to close the portal. Making whoever wanted to enter it appear on another planet that wasn’t Earth. Now, all they had to do was to get the imposters back to their ship.
—--------------
Jeanne was confused, yet still grateful for the help of the doctor. The ball was still going, and the final moments were to arrive soon, her dear king would be taken away. With a loud bang, the doors at the end of each hall opened, leaving the Comtesse now the center of attention.
She entered furious, still in the dress she had on this morning. Her corset was killing her, but running to get to the scene was not an option. The doctor had told her about the shimmers. How certain of the guests could also be traitors. But all you could think of was getting this imposter off her lover.
“My liege! I fear I am not the one you are holding in your arms!” Jeanne was still running toward him, not caring about the looks the other guests were giving her.
The music had stopped, and panic seemed to ensue as everyone saw double. Thanks to the doctor the situation was taken care of. Explaining what was happening to the king, it wasn’t long after he was out of the fake Jeanne's arms, trying to get back to his favorite. Still connected to their ship, the individual fled. The doctor promised them a safer and harmless way out. Welcoming them to an inhabited planet where they could thrive again.
—--------------
In the end, everything went well, no one was hurt, and the king was saved. He had even tried to get compensation for the help the doctor had offered. But he had refused, claiming it was just another Saturday for him.
Jeanne had followed the doctor and Clara back to the Tardis, wanting to know more about the two time travelers. It was irrational, yet she seemed to be attracted to this incredibly gentleman. Clara had gone ahead, entering the Tardis while the Comtesse stayed to discuss with the timelord.
“So, tell me. Am I to ever see you again?”
“We weren’t to meet in the first place.“ Let out the doctor.
"That is regrettable. I would have desired to learn more about you."
“You can always ask.”
"Can you be truthful? Your eyes betray a distant presence. Why must it be so melancholic?" Looking into his eyes, all she could see was dread, something old that still lingered.
“An old friend of mine had been missing. I searched everywhere, but I’ll find her at some point.”
"If she holds such significance to you, perhaps she is nearer than you anticipate."
“How could she be ?”
"I suppose destiny plays a role? And it's undeniable that you're attractive; I wouldn't fault her for desiring your return."
The doctor couldn't help himself but look at her. Something was screaming at him to look closer into it, to try and understand, but shoving a sonic screwdriver into someone’s face wasn’t a good approach.
“Have we met before ?”
"I don't believe we have. But something suggests it won't be the final occasion either."
“How can you be so sure ?” The Doctor said while trying to find out why he was so attracted to her.
"Life unfolds in mysterious manners. So do I. To my knowledge, no one is born twice."
“I can guess of a few species that can.”
“You're the Bowtie maniac, you should be the one who knows.”
The doctor looked as if he had seen a ghost. “I’m not -(A bow tie maniac)”. In the whole universe, there was only one person who called him this, that he accepted it from. Locking eyes with hers, all he could see was how old they seemed, how much they lived, despite seeming so young. But it made sense. After all (Y/N) had told him about certain past lives. Never giving a name to not disturb time paradoxes that weren’t meant to be. She did mention having had a peculiar life in the 18th century, falling in love with the king. But never would he have guessed for you to have been born as Jeanne de Becu. La Comtesse du Barry.
“Madame! Le roi vous attend !” They heard being called. The Valet of the king interrupted the many questions that had yet to be asked, but it was better to not know and let destiny be what it had done best. Reunite one another.
Jeanne felt there was something more and she wanted to know. But it would ruin the surprise, wouldn’t it? Caressing his confused face with her right hand, she smiled at him. A simple smile, that made his hearts flutter.
"I suppose this is merely a 'farewell,' Doctor. I'll see you when the time arrives, my Bowtie Maniac." And as her hand left his cheek, he felt his hearts hurt, being left once more by the woman he loved the most in the entire universe.
—--------------
Bonus :
The Tardis felt silent, sad even. The tension was too much for Clara, and she couldn’t help herself from asking what was going on. Why was he looking so distraught, and was being so quiet as he brought her home?
“Who was she ?”
“Jeanne du Berry? Favorite of the King. A more pleasant way to say concubine. She was born in a monastery. But she became a lady in waiting, then worked in a brothel. She got the visit of a rich noble from the court that presented her to the king. It was love at first sight.”
“And to you ?”
“I didn’t know her by that name. At least never heard her mentioning it as one of her previous incarnations. She never wanted me to know.”
“Why would she hide it ?”
“Paradoxes. If I had known, I might never have wanted to meet the younger version of herself. Avoid it even.”
“What happened to her ?”
“I lost her” Seeing the sad face of Clara, the Doctor still wanted to see her smile, and stop worrying about what went through his head. “But I’m sure we will meet again. Travel together once more like we always did. I’m sure you two would love each other.” Finally let out the doctor full of hope.

The Non-Canon 9 Children of My Dr Who FanFic: (Wip)
(Spoilers)
Tumblr media
When the time came for a few bundles of joy, The Dr and L.R. started laying down ground rules for their precious children. . . God only knew what someone would do with young impressionable TimeLords/Eternals
— one of the rules being unfortunately that until they were of age, when they could travel with their father and truly live within time & space — they’d remain at home beyond time and space
— they all have a random handful of abilities: Shapeshifting, glowing eyes that match their mothers, the ability to create strong illusions, telepathy, multi lingual, touch-enabled mental manipulation,
— around the sixteenth birthday, they’d begin traveling with their father and learning the fragility of life up close, otherwise they’d watch over from afar
— they age slowly like a numenorian, neither immortal nor able to regenerate
11’s Children:
1. Cygnus // “Oliver” the God of Balance
Cygnus is their first baby, no one knew what to expect // LR was always monitoring him, always close by. . . Cygnus could turn the world inside out with a tantrum, make his nightmares real, laugh too much and turn his friends into bubbles, but Mummy and Daddy were there to set it right. . . He lost his pets, he broke his toys, he’d get stuck between walls, he’d change appearance—but nothing was ever permanent as he wasn’t full Eternal. . .
He was definitely born before The Angels Take Manhattan but AFTER Eleven reunited with the Ponds post “fake-out death”
He’s been missing for a very long time. . . He went a wandering out one day and never did come back :/ and they never saw him again, neither across time nor across space
He grew up with Eleven as his father, nipping on daddy’s heels, always wanting to go where he went and be like him
Probably a Cat’s in the Cradle Situation
“I grew up without you,” “I grew up with the motion that you loved your job more, you held it to a higher degree — it was a greater responsibility, than me— that other children were a greater responsibility,” “I grew up with the concept that I, a child, was selfish for needing his own father,” “I grew up with stories and dreams of a man that I would never know, but everyone else would,”
My theory is that he probably ran away before it was his time to, before he’d hit that ripe special age. . . In order to experience it all for himself. He travels across time and space, adventuring and portraying himself as the hero from his parents stories. . .
He also idolized their love story, how the Timelord fell in love with the stars and the stars loved him back
According to his scarlet letters, he apparently eventually married a “woman” Ozma of Gallifrey, and had a daughter named Rose
Maybe he sends letters and postcards back to home, somehow, someway — maybe he studies ancient magic and science across the realms. . . Temples and priests etc forbidden knowledge that causes him to age rapidly — and one day he finally understands what his mother was trying to teach him, and the bitterness for his father waxes
Like he’s given the gift of sight, he’s gone backwards and forewords in time — span to span — lifetimes live in his mind, he neither feels like a god or man. . . He just feels burdened. . . He understands the weight of the responsibility placed on his shoulders to nit mishandle the gifts he’s been bestowed. . .
And then one day the letters stop. . .
In the end Cygnus didn’t sit well with being half Timelord and half Eternal, practically immortal — and gave up his godhood to be with his mortal family, aging and dying much to the grief of his parents (and younger siblings)
And as rumor would have it, he was stranded upon Gallifrey, unable to abandon his bride and child — unable to escape the wrath of the time lords. . .
2. Polaris // “Cecil” or “William” the God of Death
Tumblr media
He was conceived before Trenzalore (or something like it) because the truth field causes her to blurt out that she’s pregnant “again”
He was a unique little boy, with mismatched eyes, close with his elder brother Cygnus and fascinated with his younger but somehow older brother Teddy. . .
But this one gets messy because Doc meets him out of order
In the end. . . He did not cope well with being a nigh immortal being at all, longing for companionship like his parents had found. . . Unable to accept his brother’s disappearance and eventual death, leading him down a dark path to become something akin to a vampire
His own wife had passed away, his mortal wife, and he began to ponder the matters of Life and Death, the circumstances and possibilities of the afterlife — where would someone like him go? Eternals cease to exist and TimeLords. . .
Her name was Briar and she lived on the moors, he immediately loved Briar with his whole being after meeting her in a tea shop wherein she accidentally mixed up their teas. . . And that was that
— and when she fell from her window and was rendered disabled he still loved her, even tho to Briar he was now practically a stranger as she lost her memory and grew feverish and mad . . .
It didn’t end very well
I like to imagine that’s when his obsession began, he studies magic and science and the occult, he experiments with his own essence — his time lord DNA and so on — he searches time and space for fountains of youth, for cures, for answers and. . . His answers don’t come in time
Unluckily for him, his unhealthy obsession (and her unborn child) caused the parents to believe in the occult too — when they denied the handsome strangers dowry (considering Briar’s state) and he didn’t leave. . . they burned his gifts, hung crucifixes, blessed the lot, cut down the trees and barred the windows
Polaris would never forget the feeling of grieving his unborn child alone, how the rage gripped him — and in his anger he began to burn. . .
Time passed, Briar aged, and Polaris was unwavering — the sicker she became — he could hardly keep himself away. . . In a moment of sheer desperation, Polaris broke into her bedroom, causing a great uproar, and filled the house with smoke, they believed he was the devil, come to make good on a bargain Briar made — he’d only done it because he felt her life waning and knew anyway would be her last
He was right — he felt her die in his arms. . . It rain and poured for days and nights, his grief was black and his wrath was hot — he blamed her family for keeping them apart
With all of his knowledge of the occult, of history, of science and magic. . . He settled in rural England and began his selfish crusade
But all of his experiments die horrible painful deaths that to the immature naked eye seemed like a vampiric disease — that Doc considered, yet thought had died out for lack of blood supply . . .
— which is so funny to me, because rural England and their fear of witches and the devil — you’ve got all of the young women popping up looking like they belong in a hammer horror film
— they’re all marked with bloody neck kisses, roses and complain of fatigue, fever, strange dreams of a man (no one wants to admit the truth) a lack of appetite, and severe body changes — before they go missing // Doc observes the transformation and mindless mutterings, the clammy pale skin, the way they writhe when the great beast emerges from the ruins and calls to them
And there’s this really handsome rich dude who weeps at all of the funerals, he’s been long established in town so no one suspects him but. . . He remains a happy bachelor, unusual for the age, his wife had passed from the disease and yadda yadda Polaris genuinely mourns every death, but he’s ruthless in his attempts
— eventually one girl does snitch because she’s terrified, and it turns out that handsome dude has monopolized half of the women and promised them a better life if only they’ll give him something in return — but she swears it’s love, and yet now realizes it probably isn’t. . .
And anyways, Doc doesn’t succeed in saving those poor women. . . He can’t figure out what thing the beast/handsome man is — vampires aren’t supposed to be real, he doesn’t understand how it works
— and also, beastie disappears before they can do much because, naturally, Polaris is mortified — it’s seeing a ghost — it’s seeing someone whom he’s aged past and almost forgotten at this point doesn’t have a father as he is dead, and therefore Polaris doesn’t want to have to harm him — nor does he want him seeing him this way
And then Doc discovered the disease in another land, in another time period, as if someone had broken the timeline or found a way to space-age travel (when they couldn’t have) . . And anyways, the disease broke out of its previous timeline and is now infesting downtown New York City and it wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t viscously indiscriminately killing everyone in sight. . . I imagine it to be VBTM sort of grunge goth 90s — like Blade or Queen if the Damned. I’m always after that latex gothic dystopian look.
The call him the vampire king. All Eternals take on the forms they’re most comfortable with, stabilizing with what helps them blend in the most — whether they resembles their parents or anything human is another story — and Polaris, the dramatic idiot, had chosen a vampire
He has his hot vampire wives: Belinda, Beatrice, and Bianca — a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead whom he cares for but loves is a different matter, he considers them companions, but not the ultimate companion. . . He still searches for the way to create another
Doc and the troupe pop up, again and find my man — straight up numb to the psychosexual bloody horror constantly happening around him, he just doesn’t want to be alone. . . He isn’t vindictive or forceful, it’s always him asking for permission but still. . . Him caring for the needing: children, the elderly, the mentally and physically unwell doesn’t mean much when you think of them becoming potential blood bags
— but it’s his appearance that catches Doc off guard, his mannerisms, the way he handles himself when they play their game of chess. . . There is something so familiar about him, about how glowing eyes and handsome looks
Polaris feels like a child standing in the face of his father, knowing fully that Doc doesn’t know who he is — and it’s kind of ironic, that he’d become something his father would so hate and have to defeat. . .
Apathetically he pleads his case, defending that he’s the last of his kind (although Doc is doomed to figure what he is) and that he looks after mankind as they’re flawed fragile creatures who cannot be trusted with their own fates — he lobbies that he’ll perfect vampirism, in such a way that the mortality rate will lower and all sides will win. . . And he won’t be alone ever again
— he cannot help with the double entendres, the things he mentions in passing, “my father told me/taught me/showed me”
What a strange impasse: Doc who doesn’t know it’s his child but has no idea on how to stop the creature + Polaris faced with his father and unable to kill him but tempted anyways
He eventually gives up his vampire ways and becomes the permanent companion of the ToyMaker, Doc deducing he’s some kind of immortal/eternal. . . and subsequently has no children. . .
And Doc reconciles that there are more and more Eternals than he thought: ToyMaker, LR, Fate, and Death
12’s Children:
- Castor // “Deo” or “Ulysses ” & Pollux // “Uma” or “Dido”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Castor and Pollux are a boy and girl, but I couldn’t find a gif I liked
Pollux is their only girl, and they worried at first that she couldn’t talk because she was a telepath and didn’t like to use her words
Castor and Pollux naturally complement each other in style and personality; and when they change their names they always wind up choosing names that complement the other like: Dido and Ulysses, Ursula and Deimos, Deo and Uma
Castor likes his hair pink, therefore Pollux wears hers blue or green — something to complement her brother
— Pollux looks a lot like her mother for the obvious fact + her mother also kept doting on her as her only girl, Pollux admires her mother and therefore emulates her but also struggles with not emulating her
Castor is a hot-headed empath which causes a lot of trouble. . . May it be accidental chaos or murder, I’m not sure // he’s highly sensitive, very soft hearted // and then he realizes how terrifying he is to mortals when he stomps around like that and he has a change of character
— him accidentally experiencing second hand death also helps
Pollux is a cool-headed telepath but her kindness is taken advantage of and at times she can be “too dumb to live” — very flighty
Castor believes he is above mortality and doesn’t understand humbling himself to live among them, without interfering or ruling; his mother LR struggled in his education
The twins accidentally caused the Earth to Stand Still during one of their sneak off escapades from their father — Castor didn’t respect it as a privilege and Pollux really needs to grow a backbone against her brother
Castor and Pollux travel regularly as companions with their father, their “education” was the hardest for him to complete as referenced above
Twelve literally went white haired, totally
Pollux falls in love and chooses to be mortal which breaks Castor’s heart as they’ve almost never spent a day apart since birth. . . And of course, all of her remaining siblings depressed
Once their parents eventually pass, Castor chooses to live on Icarus’ colonies — guarding Pollux’s descendants
- Atlas // “Teddy” or “Arcturus”
Tumblr media
He’s the one who technically happened first but wasn’t born first. . . He’s another one that was met out of order - Let me explain
His voice breaks the sound barrier, he can’t ever speak
So far my idea of Teddy is that either A. He slipped backwards in time and accidentally was Melody Pond’s neighbor, then therefore grew up beside her — assuming Doc & LR did it for safety reasons — ORRR B. He slipped backwards in time and became like the thing that lived under the bed & made her dolls come to life, y’a know, the little Angel on her shoulder that did magic and served as a guardian Angel
There’s so many different ways to do it, like he’s trapped in a mirror dimension, there are time worms, and his only connection becomes Melody whether she realizes it or not
And either way, normal human Melody Pond (because time lord DNA makes no sense—as opposed my trashy science lol) and her Teddy go on adventures like her uncle & aunt do
Maybe Melody keeps the time lord DNA idk? Or maybe she just garners different ways to time travel? And idk Teddy gives her a bit of his life, so that they may age and die together — but live a full life
Teddy is in love with her by the way, there was no avoiding that one, he’s imprinted and doesn’t understand anything else
12.5’s Children:
- Rigel // “John Coltrane”
Tumblr media
The Galaxy has many wonders
I think he’s the closest we’d ever get to a second Doctor, as he’s completely in love with travelling all of time and space
And adjusted enough to being nigh immortal
I imagine him to be like Indiana Jones in space or like Treasure Planet — Johnny Cage.
- Phoebus // “Dr. Simon”
Tumblr media
He is the egoic mad scientist of the age
To say he failed at coping with immortality is an understatement, what he unleashed upon the world was a complete nightmare
He is alienated from his family,
He created a utopia for the mortals: curing all disease, solving world hunger and population and housing, fixing the economy, creating world peace, creating a society of effective altruism, healing the earth
But there’s always a catch
He’s the Adrian Veidt: “Will I have to confiscate your little toy father? Or will you allow me to do my work?” “If I’m never born you’ll have my blood on your hands and perhaps the blood of my siblings; you couldn’t kill Hitler but you’ll kill me?”
Aside from Polaris being a vampire and heartlessly murdering, I think Phoebus truly horrified the Dr
He’s consumed with this false reality, “the greater good” he’s warped humanity and couldn’t care less
- Saros // “Arthur” or “Icarus”
Introverted not shy
He understands fully that he is nigh immortal but all life is precious, what does he do to cope? Alienate himself and watch after plants
His self-purpose is to watch after the sands of time, the fountains of youth; and all of the it’s flora and fauna
He’s close with his other two brothers
He writes to Cygnus
He was called Icarus for trying to interfere with the mortals and play god, meaning well but watching them die anyways
And that’s when he decided to stay inside for forever
I think if any iterations of the Dr were to come into contact with Saros, Saros would be like so very tight lipped and uncomfortable and awkward
They’re here to see the fountain of youth and they’ve run into the Gardner, who lives alone in the middle of nowhere as a hermit — never expects visitors
Perhaps Phoebus and Rigel, maybe even Atlas pop in to say hello — I imagine he and Rigel are quite close, probably companions to some degree. Rigel is always bringing back all of his stories and treasures — turning the garden into a treasure planet
We Aren’t Sure:
- Argus Vega // “Nemo” — The God of Love
Tumblr media
He just is: L.R. Never told him “which one” was his father because it hardly mattered, the Dr wasn’t able to be there — wasn’t there when he was born and wasn’t there to help him become a man nor was he able to “educate him” via the Tardis
Another Cats in the Cradle situation except, when Argus became old enough he left home on his own — branching off as most Eternals do — given the fact that most aren’t naturally “nesting” type of fellows and Argus grew up without the other eight siblings // and when L.R. Sacrifices her immortality (spoiler) to age and die with her Dr, Argus is baffled
He cannot fathom why his mother truly loved his father, in such a way that she’d choose death rather than surviving by her children
It hardens him
Luckily for him, his life is derailed by Eleven accidentally meeting him out of order
Argus originally came to Andaraan a LONG time ago, the planet of who would become the Andar
He sees the future and all realities, utilizing it to poise himself as the Love God, and the Andar shaped their culture around him, as he parasitically merged himself with their society
Every year the Andara made pilgrimage to the temples of O, where they pledged themselves and their mates to the love God — and every year the love God blessed them and their land with fertility (supposedly) And he’d reveal their soulmates by visions & dreams and bless or curse their marriages
Meanwhile, Argus got to be a Ladykiller, playin as the sort of promiscuous love God that the Greeks and Roman’s spoke of — until he fell in love with Estella of Feld, the Queen of Love and Beauty, his soulmate
Her beautiful song, stilled and paused the Love god
She was in an arranged marriage, highly uncommon for the Andar — and it was kept a great secret, as the prince in question had “broken” his soulmate. . .
Argus came to Estella every year, during the festival, while all were in drunken stupors — fat and sated with wine and food, tired from dancing and singing — he would cause the night to rage and dawn as if to hide his excellence whilst climbing her tower
They’d meet and lay together; he bore her many strange sons and daughters whom he dutifully looked after, knowing they’d be as he was — and the foolish King was none the wiser thinking his bloodline had been blessed by the gods
When Estella finally passed, in his heartache and grief, he turns all if the Andar into statues, holding his Estella’s corpse close and cool — never wishing to be alone
But anyways, dad interferes
He brought his companions to the planet of love: Hermitheo — to enjoy the festivities, the traditions of gold masks until midnight, the virgins and lovers wearing strange robes as they dance beneath eye eyes of a golden god, the flowers, the food, the wine and singing
But he knows there is something awful brewing in the air, surely it’s superstition
And then he realizes the statue is alive and somehow telepathically giving visions to people
And then the festival is over, and a great storm begins to grew — the Andar fear it’s because of the ignorance of the Dr but the next day they awake to their crops being blessed
When Doc goes back in time a little further he runs into a swaggering gentleman whom the women can’t help but love, they call him Adonis - an earth name
Adonis is a lady killer and he takes a liking to the Doc, always trying to get him into trouble — and when I say lady killer I mean Casanova and Don Juan WISH they could
Everywhere he goes, they can’t help it, they just swoon and smile at him — and he eats it up; life I easy when people can’t help but want to please you
Doc has trouble keeping his attention, gettin him to focus on much other than drinking or whoring — although he claims to love everyone of them
Adonis admits he doesn’t have many friends
In Conclusion:
None of these kids were prepared to live forever let alone live forever alone
