Femme Fatale Guide: Healthy Habits To Look & Feel Your Best Without Restriction or Unrealistic Routines
Realistic ways to maintain a healthy life/body/appearance (size and weight are all personal, not the most important metric – for certain). No diet culture or delulu-land tips here.
What I've done to maintain my 30-pound weight loss for over a decade, glowing clear skin (no pimples or discoloration, etc.), and super healthy, full & shiny hair, still living life and enjoying it – the mindful way.
Eat home-cooked meals & (plant-based) whole foods – 90-95% of the time
Incorporate at least 1 salad into my daily routine (either a large, hearty lunch salad or a simple green salad as a starter with dinner)
Include at least 1 fruit/vegetable in every meal or snack
Never restrict food groups – whole grains/potatoes, healthy fats, protein-rich plant foods, and produce are all essential to consume every day
Focus on meals, but have whole food snack options on hand to enjoy if genuinely hungry (mainly fruit, lupini beans, edamame, carrots/celery/cucumber with hummus, plain popcorn, handful of almonds/cashews)
Have breakfast after one coffee (before a second) and have dinner late enough (8-9:30 pm) to curb late-night hunger
Only have fruit and tea after dinner; Always stop consuming food at least 3 hours before bed for better sleep/digestion
Order whatever I want when going out to eat, but split dessert
Have at least one indulgent meal/dessert per week
No sugary cocktails – wine, champagne/prosecco, martinis, gin & tonic, margarita, French Connection, Sambuca, Grappa, tequila on the rocks, etc. are great options. Bellinis/fruit plus wine/spirits cocktails are a good middle ground. Sugary drinks worsen the hangover – big-time
Perceive healthy eating as a form of enjoyment, creativity, and nourishment, not restriction or deprivation (it's not if done liberally enough)
Consume a vitamin B12 and vitamin D supplement daily. Keep digestive enzymes on hand for when they're necessary
Always have a large glass of water first thing in the morning (before coffee) and by my side all day long
No soda, juices, sugary drinks, etc. Black coffee, tea, and water only on the daily – wine and no-sugar alcoholic drinks on rare occasions. Smoothies can be a great snack or breakfast, though!
Incorporate an (almost) daily walk into my schedule as a form of exercise and a mental health reset (I aim for 4-5 miles/10Kish steps per day on average)
Do short, low-impact strengthen training exercises 3x a week (15-30 mins each usually) for bone health & toning
Never forcing myself to do strenuous exercise/workout formally in a gym – it's not for me; it doesn't make me feel/look better and throws my hunger & energy levels way off. To each their own, though
Have a variety of playlists ready to go for waking up, working, dancing, walking/workouts, doing chores, and reading/relaxing
Internalizing that sexual health is a core aspect of your health & well-being – on all counts
Maintaining a simple skincare routine 2x per week with high-quality products and a couple of weekly treatments
Prioritizing my body care routine with as much as my facial skincare routine
Wearing at least SPF 30 daily
Exfoliating 2-3x per week
Learning what hair products work for my hair type; Using a deep conditioning mask and a scalp mask weekly
Using only cold water when washing my hair
Incorporating face & body massages into my weekly at-home routine
Using Uriage lip balm, hand cream, and deodorant religiously
Flossing 1-2 times a day/using an electric toothbrush

this was my january over-view ;
week one : i drank a cup of peppermint tea, started taking the beauty gummies from the brand ollie (it has essential vitamins, collagen etc and its main focus is skin hair and nails), and i bought and drank a bottle of kombucha to promote digestive health. i did a twenty minutes pilates workout and it was a bit challenging but i think that i did a good job. today i ordered a stanely water bottle cup to make sure that im staying hydrated.
week two : i drank a 16 oz cup of celery juice. i drank a cup of clove, ginger, and green tea. today i drank a 20 oz cup of celery juice on an empty stomach and i took my beauty gummies. i drank lemon water and some sort of earthy liquid (diatomaceous earth). i drank that today too. i followed along and did two pilates workouts from youtube. i walked 15 minutes on the treadmill.
week three : i walked for 15 minutes on the treadmill and even jogged a little. i finished my first book of the year, then she was gone. i've been taking this dietary powder called diatomaceous earth and its an exfoliant for ur organs. i drank a new flavor of kombucha (a strawberry flavor). i had another bottle of kombucha (mystic mango flavor) and i even drank a matcha latte.
week four : i opened up my second girl blogging account so that i can post success stories and stuff. i drank cucumber infused water today in my brand new hello kitty water cup. today i ran out of peppermint tea :( i finished a whole carton of strawberries after dinner. i did a 10 minute belly dancing workout and it was a lot of fun. i finished part two of my book writing process and successfully outlined my book. i drank a bottle of kombucha (strawberry flavored) and i did a winx club inspired workout challenge this morning. i drank a green probiotic drink.
OVERVIEW :
i achieved my january goals of prioritizing my health and have made regular movement a habit. i've been so DILIGENT and consistent and im so so so PROUD of myself. i treat my body with love and CARE and i show my body love through what i eat → what i do → and how i speak about my body. on a scale of 1-10 the month of january's productivity was a (8/10)

I just had another 20oz of green juice and got diarrhea within about thirty minutes. My cousin is a nutritionist and I remember her saying that celery has a “cleansing effect”, so maybe that’s what’s going on.
I can image that drinking juiced greens everyday will help you lose weight. My concern is how to replenish your own nutrients after these bowel movements as well as drinking enough water.
Anyway, I want to try and make a large batch of green juice every week. I think I juiced half a gallon yesterday. But I need to get the vegetables at an organic farmer’s market because I’m sure these vegetables I’ve been buying are laden with pesticides. 😣
I guess I’ll be making a trip to the farmer’s market Saturday morning. I should reschedule the sauna session to Saturday so I don’t have to drive into the city two days in a row!

I mean I have been SHITTIN. is celery juice like a colon cleaner or something. like damn.

☆ Wear sunscreen everyday
The beauty secret of reduce aging is by applying sunscreen on your skin EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. You need to reapply sunscreen every 2hrs. The sun and the UV rays will always be there in the sky during the day to damage and give you wrinkles quicker. This can lead to skin cancer too. So make sure you wear a sunscreen with SPF higher than 40 for protection. I like to wear sunglasses since the under eye is the thinnest skin on your body. But don’t fear the sun! You need vitamin D to feel happy, energized and if you avoid the sun you can actually age much faster(I know it’s confusing). 15 minutes of daylight without protection is healthy! Or you can just take vitamin D pills from a pharmacy at walmart, target, walgreens, cvs, etc. ;)
friendly reminder that aging isn’t a terrible thing. everyone will have wrinkles overtime and become old but sunscreen is a necessity to be skin cancer-free and to age better.

☆ Exfoliate 3 times a week
Consider buying a shea exfoliater! Use them in the shower on your body to get rid of dead cells and it makes your skin feel smooth with a natural glowy touch to it. It helps with circulation and evens skin tone. They also smell great! I recommend dove, treehut and soap&glory.
☆ Drink your greens instead
Obviously everybody knows eating vegetables is healthy and should be eaten everyday to maintain well, but the majority of people don’t eat spinach or cucumbers EVERYDAY. I mean I don’t eat wanna eat a hamburger with a side of celery sticks. I personally think making juices and smoothies is easier to consume them. I keep pre made smoothies from nights before in my fridge/freezer to grab n go when I’m running late.
☆ Do the ice cube technique
This method is to prevent face blotting, supposed to calm anxiety and claims to better your mood. You take an ice cube and wrap half of it with a napkin or cloth so your fingers don’t freeze. You apply the ice cube under your ears, side of the neck and the back of the neck. You do this until the ice cube melts. I apply ice cubes on my neck every morning :).
☆ Moisture your lips
Keep your lips smooth and kissable. Vaseline, aquaphor or laniege lip mask is amazing for cracked lips!

Dear able bodied people-
I take a thyroid medication in the morning an hour before I eat. I take two puffs a minute apart of symbicort in the morning and again in the evening so I can breathe. I take two Hydrocortisone tablets in the morning and one in the evening so I can stay alive and awake because my adrenal glands dont work. I take pristiq once in the morning so that I can get out of bed. I take trileptal twice a day so I don't seize. I take klonopin if that doesn't work, or I take it to sleep or to keep myself from having a panic attack because my nervous system doesnt come out of fight or flight. I take two puffs of albuterol, a minute inbetween each, if I start to not be able to breathe despite my other inhaler. I put on two pumps of Testosterone every day and have to wait for it to dry before I can do anything. I wash my face with benzol perozide and apply tretnoin and clindamycin after so that my face doesnt fill with so much cystic acne that you can't see the skin underneath. I apply prescription eczema cream when I get flares. I use sensodyne so my teeth don't ache. I take aspirin for brain and nerve inflammation. I take oral medical marijuanna to help control my pain and my seizures and muscle spasms. I take zofran up to two times daily to control my nausea.
I am also prescribed muscle relaxers and anti-vertigo medication but the side effects are so awful I only take them when absolutely necessary.
I have three doctors appointments on an average week. I make more phone calls to the doctor than I do to my friends and family. On my less busy weeks I have atleast one appointment. On my busiest,I will have all five days full..sometimes I have multiple appointments in one day. There's no specialists on my probable conditions in my state, and anyone close to being able to actually help is out of network.
Regularly I get needles stuck in my neck, in my arm, I get shoved into small noisy coffin sized machines for hours, I've had needles put in my legs and been electrically shocked with those same needles, I have strangers looking at my body, I've had strangers hands all over my body on a regular basis for the sake of my health.
And I still get told it's all in my head. I just need to reduce my stress, do yoga and drink some celery juice or try some essential oils. Look on the bright side, feel better soon, when I know there is no getting better for me.
Could you handle that? And still work when you should be bed and wheelchair bound because you'd be homeless otherwise and still keep a smile on your face?

Juice fast 💖💖💖
It’s pretty much day two of 3 day juice fast. Im doing this for spiritual and weight loss reasons. It’s ginger , green apples, and celery. My favorite juice recipe. I have a cold press juicer. Definitely gone juice more this year. And strengthen my immune system. And heal and rid of this cough by eating fruits and veggies until I knock this cough out of me.
Day two is a breeze. It’s mind over matter. What you believe in comes true. So telling myself I can be disciplined and complete juice fast without food. And working on drinking plain water and no water enhancements. I did 30 min cardio this morning. Might do a night session. Need charge my Fitbit. And research and plan spiritual showers and candle spells and sugar jars. But mostly kitchen magick. Food is for enjoyment and nourishment. My body will be healthy and shed more weight and more trauma. It’s my time to shine.
Spirit and ancestors all I need and I know my worth and ignoring my haters. I always been a bad bitch. I’m on my Hoe shit. Only want men who spend racks on me. Definitely drink more ginger juice for cough. Hoes not on my level. At the end of the day I’m a bad bitch and bad bitches love. I use my brain and beauty to always get my way. I want to juice every other week for health, spiritual and weight loss reasons.
Circumstances and my current reality do not matter when i already know my story already exist and manifesting is instant. You determine how fast or slow happens when it comes to your core beliefs. I get everything instantly. I love being high and speaking my shit. Definitely drinking ginger cough. And take my acid reflux and allergy medication for coughing too. And daytime meds for my cough.

i start school in three weeks.. someone send help.. anyways, as always, my goal is to look my best and feel my best! so here's how i'm preparing to go back to school with clear skin and a flat tummy x
celery juice + green tea every morning! for me, i find that green tea is really great for my skin! drinking it really helped with my acne, so i'll be drinking it more regularly in preparation for the first day of school. as well, celery juice helps a ton with bloating (in my experience) so i'll be drinking it every morning <3
no sugar + low sodium sugar and sodium are both absolutely horrible for your skin and acne, so i'll be avoiding both as much as possible. i already consume as little sugar as possible, but i'll be aiming to cut it out completely by using sugar substitutes + drinking starbucks less
soups leading up to the first day to avoid any kind of bloating during the first day of school, i'll be aiming to only drink soups (with konjac noodles/non-bloating vegetables) for the last few days before school starts. of course, remember to keep your body healthy + not starve yourself lol
aztec clay mask the day before the aztec clay mask works miracles for me, so i'll be trying to use it more regularly leading up to the first day of school, to prevent + aid with any acne i may get!
40 mins biking daily! this one doesn't need much of an explanation, biking is just my preferred method of exercise !!
