The sight of a thumb brushing against a shock collar remote silenced the demon, premptively cringing for a jolt that did not come.

"Answer the question."

"F-fine. I was human, before I died."

"I thought you didn't remember much of that time?"

"I don't- but I remember this. I-- had been holding out against... him."

"Dr. Daunte Taylor."

"Dont-" The demon cringed again, as if the name burned. "Him. He- had been working hard to break me. They said that I was a good candidate for the project, just needed to be less... unwilling. I was fit with a shock collar, going off whenever I stepped out of line at first but eventually it just went off at random. I couldn't sleep, the drugs made me feel- foggy. There wasn't much left of me he could put new bruises and whip marks on. So he... found other ways to hurt me. I-- I can't-"

"You don't need to go into detail on that."

Aziphem shook his head, twisting his bound hands until his fingers looked like they would break.

"After the first time- told me he would let them do it again if I fought back- everything hurt. So when he said kneel- I did. When he told me to smile- I did. When he complemented me, told me I was doing so well now, and that I just needed- encouragement- I never could have hated myself more. He did worse to me. Then Nekra did. Then the angels. But- that was the worst moment, because that was when I let them do it to me."

OKAY OUGH. ive been considering making another blog to info dump about this au because its INCREDIBLY daunting on this one abshd

but for now this'll do o7

OKAY SO AU SUMMARY. Sonic, Silver n Shadow are in a band called Triple☆S (the star is for funsies), its managed by Eggman and he looooves to overwork them. foams at the mouth at the idea of boy band revenue. Overall he's just a shit manager but due to a contract that they all haphazardly read (minus Shadow who quirked a brow but signed anyways) its a little hard to leave (also them being very inexperienced in this whole band thing doesnt help and Eggman most definitely takes advantage of that). Overtime they start to see just how Fucked Up Eggman and his whole business is (He creates household cleaning robots and then military equipment in secret, these are all infused with animals!!!) and start to revolt against him.

They all live in a condo that Eggman had given them within his building (shenanigans ensue). This luxury is nice and all but the constant grind is making them miss their old lives, no matter how mundane it was.

also they did not know eachother prior to this band forming!!!! this au sorta follows them and their friendship developing!! their incredibly clashing aesthetics end up making a really funky looking friend group.

this entire au was inspired by this post i made a while ago!!

Something I miss from earlier eras of the creative side of the internet was things just being unabashedly low-budget. Just all unashamedly amateur, unprofessional, ‘I don’t own a good camera but I have a story to tell you’, ‘I can’t afford a good mic but I have a song to sing for you,’ ‘I don’t have any kind of background in editing or lighting and I only just picked up this guitar last Tuesday but here’s an entire musical me and my friends wrote about our favourite book, we filmed it on a potato and put it up on YouTube in ten minute segments because we thought it was pretty funny.’

#everything felt so much less like Content then #and as someone who wants to share creative stuff online #it’s now incredibly daunting thinking about doing that bc #especially as a disabled person who can’t work full time #it feels almost impossible to extricate art from being Content #like there’s this immense pressure to produce things that could pass as professionally produced by a team of educated people #and to make smart decisions so that somehow eventually you can profit off your art #and instead of it being a ‘hey look at my silly little song’ it becomes #competing in an over saturated market already dominated by the nepotism afforded by wealth and connections #and it feels like it would very difficult not to measure my personal satisfaction with how a certain piece of art turned out #by how much attention it got online #even though I genuinely have zero desire to be famous and it sounds like a complete nightmare #anyway I’m gonna have ice cream for dinner how about you guys #hmp42

Okok i am FINALLY Answering these sorry Xmas was a lil rough for me---

Azzi's biggest regret is not going back to his parents when his mental health started to fall apart (while still human). He had a good family, but his boyfriend at the time isolated him and got it in his head that they were going to abuse him if he went back to them (total bs). When Azzi finally left him he was a mess, and ended up on the street. If he had gone home, he would not have been picked up by Daunte and would not have become a demon. He probably would have gotten the help he needed and went on to live a normal ish life. Instead it only got worse.
