At thirty Mav, back then just Pete and never Peter, doesn't know where or what has become of Mary, he can barely remember her face or the sound of her voice, but Ice is cuddling with him on the couch, their legs intertwined under the blanket, and the steady feeling that's growing bigger and bigger every day.

"Hey Ice, let's play pretend." He says, leaning against the neck of his boyfriend, who's half napping and half trying very hard not to nap.

"Pretend what, Mav?" His voice is sweet and warm in a way Mav would never have thought about associating with the Iceman.

"Let's pretend we're married." He whispers like it's a secret, like he's afraid that if he says it just a little louder, he will wake up back when -

Mav is a blusher and Ice likes it a lot.

"You know Mav", Ice turned to him as the training debriefing started, "that was a pretty smooth move up there." Maverick smiled at him, a blush creeping onto the apples of his cheeks, "Thanks." He turned away, embarrassed that even just a compliment from his classmate brought that god-awful rouge to his face. Thinking about it only made it worse, the tips of his ears turning pink. Ice noticed, keeping his eyes on the brunet.

"Damn, what's got you looking like that?" Slider joined the two, sliding into the closest seat. His eyes flickered between Ice and Mav, who he had watched from a distance as they conversed.

"Probably the heat," he grinned, "always seems to follow me around." Ice rolled his eyes in faux annoyance.

"Oh you shut up you," Slider retorted.

It took a while for the blush to disappear from Maverick's face, and by the time they had hit the showers and returned to their living quarters, it was all Ice could think about. There was something that sparked deep inside of him, though he couldn't put a finger on it.

Despite his internal conflicts, he made it his mission to make that cocky motherfucker blush as much as he could. He winked. He got up and close, leaning in slightly before pulling away. And sometimes, just sometimes, he would praise the other pilot. As much as he despised Maverick's clear ego problem, it was perhaps the most effective way.

It took not even two weeks for a confrontation. From Slider. It was a few days after he had switched his and Mav's shirts, just to see him blush when Ice pointed it out.

"You know Ice, I'm not sure what's going on, but you've been going out of your usual ways to tease Maverick," they were walking to their quarters, "And before you say anything, I'm all for teasing him and getting on his nerves because I hate his guts sometimes, but you're going far man."

"It's all just a little fun isn't it?" Ice chuckled.

"Yeah but switching your shirts? You know, with all that DADT talk, the others could build suspicions."

"I'm not gay Slider."

"I know, I know, I just want you to be safe, I'm your RIO after all."

For President Biden, I might vote to reelect him because he took steps to repeal discriminatory policies like the Trans Ban (DADT 2.0). While I appreciate this progress, I hope to see a more critical approach to U.S. support and funding for Israel. Even still, Trump would be worse for Palestine. Vote Blue No Matter Who, until we get Ranked Choice Voting.

For Senator Murkowski, I approve of her reelection because I appreciate Senator Murkowski's dedication to child development and her progressive stance on LGBTQ+ rights. However, I wish she would support stronger gun regulation and prioritize green initiatives more consistently. I'm encouraged by her stance against Trump's policies.

For Senator Sullivan, I strongly oppose Senator Sullivan due to his positions against reproductive rights, transgender rights, and affordable healthcare. Additionally, his denial of climate change, support for gerrymandering, and alignment with extremist views surrounding the January 6 insurrection are deeply concerning. He is an un-American Trump Sucker and I need him out of my chair this instant.

For Rep. Peltola, I approve of her because I appreciate Senator Peltola's support for COVID-19 proposals and her progressive stance on marriage, children, LGBTQ+, and transgender rights. However, I believe there is room for improvement in her support for military service members, veterans, and moderate gun regulation.

i’m a bit flabbergasted by this presentation, despite what i see of other bbc war coverage… for one — the noticeably stark differences in bbc features on (white) war refugee families compared to articles on anonymous migrant families that need to be sent to rawanda.

“don’t ask don’t tell” - ms_chunks (its from 2018 im late)

LET ME START BY SAYING…… this is a blessing of a story. I’ve never read or tried a Kachaako (is that the name) fic before. A few weeks ago my friend and I traded some fan art of them and I thought, “ykw i could see it maybe…..”, and I wasn’t looking for this fic. At all. I was reading a lovely BKDK fic as usual and this fic was named as an inspiration for it, so I kinda just did it.

It made me a believer in this dynamic. THIS dynamic is *chefs kiss*. I LOVE IT. I L O V E IT.

This author writes so well and just made me so happy. Also the amount of teenage love / giddiness / age appropriate affection is just so perfect. No smut in it which makes it just so cute. The author DID write a one off to appease the masses of deku x kachaan x ochako (which i read and…. woah! good rep of ace!deku), so check that out too if ur interested it’s called “Long Time Coming”.

Anyways i love this pairing, this author, this fic, their fighting, their characterization, and everything in between. Check it out of you haven’t before <3
