Tough Times, Tough People & Lives that last after Their Over!
Tough Times, Tough People & Lives that last after Their Over!
I wrote this article 2 years ago on this date. But somehow it never made it here. So in celebration of these thoughts which were good ones, I make this post today.Quite a few years ago my daughter TeNae and I went to a service at the Crystal Cathedral, in California. Not everything The late Dr. Robert Schuller said was pure gospel. But he really did come up with some great, positive, life quickfix…

an Asking for a Miracle stimboard/moodboard, since I recently reread it!
it's an absolutely incredible fic from the lifeline au series which honestly changed my life or something, I'm going over it again and I might make more boards off of each fic in the series!
Lifeline au link (it's 299k words total but absolutely worth the read) - Asking for a Miracle link (you need context of the rest of the series though) - SlashMagpie's ao3

#OTD in Irish History | 24 August:
In the Liturgical calendar it is the Feast Day of Abbán moccu Corbmaic, also Eibbán or Moabba, a saint in Irish tradition. He was associated, first and foremost, with Mag Arnaide (Moyarney or Adamstown, near New Ross, Co Wexford) and with Cell Abbáin (Killabban, Co Laois). His cult was, however, also connected to other churches elsewhere in Ireland, notably that of his alleged sister…

One of the things about being in homeschool, and dirt poor and non religious, was anything for a free field trip. That was how I ended up at the Crystal Cathedral bored out of my mind during what ever show they were doing with live animals.
It was the closest I've ever been to camel and the first time I remembered seeing goats.
I thought it would be a kick ass place to stage Jesus Christ Superstar with the animals, costumes, and stage set up they had.
Anyways, here's the BBC version with Roger Daltrey https://archive.org/details/jesus-christ-superstar

ways to dramatically log back in to hermitcraft after an extended hiatus:
the BdoubleO: spend a week screaming and falling into other hermits' videos to foreshadow your dramatic return
the Keralis: edit a clip from one of your last episodes of season two and then make it seem as if you walked through a nether portal four seasons in the future
the welsknight: snooze in your season six cathedral whilst cub and scar do a magical crystal double act to send cub back in time to retrieve you to the modern day
the ethoslab: get sent to naughty boy, late to the season exile to do hermitcraft catch-up sessions
the mumbo jumbo: log in to your adoring and crying fans rushing to welcome you home (grian and iskall)
the tangotek: bid a dramatic goodbye to the modded villagers that you coded, as they cry and line the way to the nether portal that will lead you back to hermitcraft (someone's gotta go build boombox, after all)
the Docm77: 5 minutes of getting put on blast irl by your wife about your new obsession with tomatoes, before the giant goat statue you built escapes Minecraft to possess you with the endless yearning for the mines, causing you to dramatically exchange hats
the vintagebeef: log in like normal, etho is here. play minecraft with etho :))
the hypnotizd: you're in a branch mine. don't ask questions

Modern life is a rich and varied confluence of information, technology, social interaction, work, travel, family and fun – if you’re lucky. There are smartphones in the most remote corners of our world and we have advanced in scientific endeavor further than ever before. Our cities are huge bustling metropolises and they’re growing larger every day. More than half of the earth’s population lives in these urban centres and this percentage is steadily increasing. However, despite this cumulative urbanization, there is a tacit understanding among the human race that connection to nature is an essential factor in our happiness. For all our obsession with man-made wonders nothing compares to the creations of Mother Nature. Vast underground cave systems, wild desert landscapes, breathtaking waterfalls, staggering geology and spectacular vestiges of our prehistoric past all remind us of our small place in earth’s story. And even with our ever-expanding knowledge of the way the world came to be, some landscapes still leave us utterly perplexed. This is the mystery and the majesty of the natural world.
Many thanks to: Kalya Ryan - Author
