Hi there. Just found your blog. Thanks. I spent about 20 minutes scrolling through old posts.
One quick question; have you ever seen his work in "The Hilarious House of Frightenstein"? It was a Canadian Children's show, in about 1971. There are some YouTube videos with excerpts and the like. It's an ensemble cast, not all about him. Various skits and the like. I found one video that was all his bits, but I can't post the link here.
Have fun, and Be well.
K.
I absolutely love Hilarious House of Frightenstein! His skits and poems were hilarious. He had so much fun!! Here are a few of my favorite gifs from the show!
Glad you enjoy the posts!! :)

This is going to be an unpopular take, surely, but the Four Swords characters (particularly Red, Blue and Green) aren't really that nuanced or deep. They're all based on stereotypical character tropes and given the length of the manga, the Himekawas didn't really have time to let them go beyond those tropes. I don't know if the Himekawas even wanted to delve much further into their characters, regardless.
And like?? That's ok?? There is absolutely nothing wrong with acknowledging a character has not reached their full potential within the source media. There's absolutely nothing wrong with adding your own interpretations and headcanons to that character to give them depth. Stereotypes (unless harmful) do not make a character inherently bad or less worthy of being enjoyed.
But I'm also sick of the genre of FS posts where it's like "Red/Blue/Green actually has so much depth and other fans are just fucking stupid." My brother in christ you have projected your headcanons on to this character and expect us to see exactly what you see even though it's not present within the manga itself.

I imagine 3rd and 5th having a little bit of a sibling rivalry over who the favorite daughter is, even though both Reader and Wukong swear up and down there are no favorites and they both love all their kids equally. When 7th is born Wukong gets the idea (albeit misguided) on how to end this rivalry is giving them a common enemy. (Again; MISGUIDED)
*3rd and 5th showing off skills and bragging to their dad as Wukong plays off as mildly interested*
*Reader walks in holding 7th*
7th: *Incoherent baby talk*
Wukong: 🤩 My Little Princess!!! *Rushes over and takes 7th from Reader* How are you, my precious little peach blossom? Were you a good girl for Mama this morning? Of course you were, by sweet little PERFECT daughter can do no wrong!
7th: *Giggles and Coos at her Baba”
Reader: 😒 Wukong… This isn’t going to end well.
3rd and 5th: *New Enemy Unlocked*
Eventually, after a misadventure and a stern lecture from Mama, 3rd and 5th agree it stupid to be jealous of their baby sister and make up with each other. And Wukong ONCE AGAIN learns that when you play stupid games you win stupid prizes.
on this episode of the hit family sitcom "here come the suns"
fr this is such a cute idea
