I’m proud of myself! I’ve had cold sores for years on and off, they usually come about three or four times a year. I was always so scared and ashamed of how they look, they’re big and yellow and “unsightly” and I was always scared of someone saying something, though no one ever did. I have one now, and I realized that for one of the first times in my life I’m not ashamed of it. I hate them cause they hurt and burn, but I couldn’t care less about what it looks like or if someone sees it, and that’s a hell of a lot of progress.

Bit of a long shot but I’ve had a cold sore for almost a month now and it’s doing my head in. It “healed” about a week ago (so no open wound) after taking prescribed antivirals. However, it’s still tingly with white splotches so virus definitely hasn’t gone away yet (even with 10,000mg of antivirals), so kind of at my wit’s end. Doctor has no idea and just keeps prescribing antivirals, so does anyone have any advice?
