Eddie stands at the bar, sipping at the whisky in his glass, eyes flickering over the crush of bodies and dark mahogany. He's at a premier party at TIFF, doesn't remember what movie it's for, is supposed to "mingle" according to his agent. And sure, he's charismatic, got a big personality and a loud mouth, but he's not good at networking; resents having to perform when he's not playing a role. Resents it more that he's an Oscar nominated actor, that his work doesn't stand for itself.
And then there's the Steve Harrington of it all. Heartthrob. America's Sweetheart. The boy next door. He's across the room, deep in conversation, but his eyes--they keep finding Eddie, scanning him with unmistakable heat.
They starred in a movie called Dying on the Pass. Played life-long best friends who became elite chefs and opened a restaurant together. The movie follows the dissolution of their friendship as the stresses of pursuing a Michelin Star drive them apart. It was a critical and commercial hit, cue awards noms, and offers pouring in, and--
Steve Harrington is his bed.
They promised, when filming wrapped. They swore it was the last time. They promised--
They basically shared a hotel room during awards season, woke up tangled together every morning.
They spent a torrid weekend in Atlanta after Steve wrapped on a Netflix action movie.
Six months after, they had a quick, furious fuck in the bathroom at a club in London.
Dangerous, stupid, but no one caught them. And here Steve is in Toronto, surrounded by press, staring at Eddie like he wants to eat him.
Eddie tries to ignore it. But every time their eyes meet, warmth pools low in his abdomen, and he wants.
They meet up eventually, pose for a couple of pictures, Eddie trying to ignore the way his skin tingles everywhere that Steve touches. Steve slings an arm around his waist, lets it linger.
After, Eddie goes out for a smoke, the patio blissfully deserted. He's half way through his cigarette when Steve steps out the sliding door, wrapping his hands in Eddie's hair, pulling him into a kiss. The cigarette drops as he grips onto the other man, a whimper slipping from his lips.
He should stop this, they're outside, anyone could see, and Steve isn't out--isn't--he's straight to the entire world, the straightest man alive. And Eddie, he's open about his preferences, identifies as queer, though lately he's been more interested in men--in one man, specifically-- and Steve isn't out, isn't ready to be and--
"Come back to my room?" Steve asks. Their mouths are still pressed together.
"Uh-huh," Eddie answers.
Steve whispers his room number before disappearing back inside. They're in the same hotel, on the same floor, like the universe wants them to keep hooking up. But Steve is being reckless.
Eddie goes to Steve that night with every intention of telling him they need to stop, to slow down, that they're going to get caught and he knows Steve isn't ready, but he doesn't. He doesn't that night and he doesn't two months later when they bump into each other in Venice, or four months after that in New York, or--or --or
It's dangerous, impulsive, too many close calls for them to keep it up and then--and then he's at a house party in the hills, an industry thing, the host is a wannabe big shot producer trying to get in good with the Hollywood elite. Steve is out of town. In Europe filming or maybe Australia for some event or--
Striding through the party, eyes locked on Eddie, and they're in a hallway, in a hallway where anyone could see them, but Steve is kissing him. They're kissing and it's rough and possessive and it stings.
Steve pushes him through double-doors, to the room at their backs, and Eddie wants to protest, to remind him they don't know if it's empty. But Steve is tugging the tie out of Eddie's hair, digging this hands into the now loose curls, and Eddie whines, lets himself be lead.
He's pushed against a table, and in the weak light from the windows, he realizes they're in the dining room. Steve grinds against him, muttering, "missed you so much, baby. God, it's been too long. Need you so bad."
Eddie moans, shifting to press more against Steve. "Missed you too, sweetheart, fuck."
They're kissing and Eddie's high on it, on Steve, can't get enough.
There's a loud burst of laughter outside the door, and reality smashes back into focus.
"Stop," he whispers to Steve.
Steve does in an instant, stepping back. Even in the darkness, Eddie sees the confusion and hurt mingling in the squint of his eyes, his light frown.
"Steve we--this is dangerous. There are people everywhere. Anyone could come in. There's a TMZ guy here, and we--need to be careful."
"Fuck," Steve breathes. "Eddie I--fuck." He presses his hand over his mouth, eyes squeezed shut. "I can't get enough of you, man. Whenever I see you I just--I don't think--I see you and I want you so bad it hurts. Once every few months isn't enough. Hookups aren't enough. And I know that's not what we agreed to, and--"
"Steve," Eddie gently cuts him off. "I'm crazy about you. It hasn't been hookups for me for--" ever, it had never been, but he shakes his head instead of saying that. "But we've been reckless, sweetheart, and I don't want to see you hurt."
"It's not fair to you, though, right? Hiding and sneaking around with me."
"You need time, Steve. You deserve to come out on your terms, when you're ready. And if that means we're not public for a while, then we're not."
"What if I'm never ready?" He whispers. It breaks Eddie's heart, but it's a fair question for a man who got famous as an angelic child star in a series of fantasy-adventure movies before playing a quarterback with a heart-of-gold on the CW for seven seasons. He's always kept up a squeaky clean image, never in trouble, name rarely in the tabloids.
"Then we'll deal with it together."
"Okay," Steve whispers. A smile spreads slow across his face. "I'd like that."
--
Steve Harrington and Eddie Munson are seen around town together often. Getting lunch, at parties, shopping. In an interview Steve says that Eddie's his best friend, they do everything together. There's speculation online, of course, but it's pretty quiet. So, they go to premiers and award shows and events together.
A year goes by and it's easy, light, fun. They're in love.
Eddie's messing around on his guitar, not with any intent just for the joy of it. He's on the loveseat in the office of their apartment--their apartment. Steve is in the kitchen, he thinks, or puttering in the garden.
They haven't talked about Steve coming out; haven't needed to.
"Hey," Steve says from the doorway. Eddie jumps.
"Hey yourself."
"It's Bi Visibility day."
"Is it now?" He's not sure where this is going
"I want to come out."
He puts the guitar down. "You sure?"
Steve nods. He doesn't seem nervous, just calm and steady.
"How do you want to do it?"
He crosses the room, climbing onto Eddie's lap, making Eddie laugh. "Works for me." Eddie gives Steve's ass a playful squeeze.
They start kissing then, Steve snapping pics on his phone randomly as they make out.
Steve won't let Eddie peak as he crafts his Insta post, not until it's done and live for his 15 million followers.
The picture he picked, it's a soft kiss, mouths open but lips only just brushing, noses pressed together in a sweet little bump. But the thing about, the thing that makes Eddie's stomach swoop, is the way they're both smiling, the way it's obvious just how in love they are.
Steve's captioned it with the words "Witness Me" and the bi flag.
He pulls his boy into another kiss, says, "Hey,"
"Hmm?" Steve doesn't pull away.
"Wanna go be visibly bisexual with me in the bedroom?"
Steve hops off his lap, strides across the room, turning to flash Eddie a devious smile. "Thought you'd never ask."

if I think I know what curious gazes is, I would love to see what rosemary/ex-hitman would look like in that lens! he's just so moody compared to her, it would be cool to see them how others do! thank you :D

—————
Scrolling on her phone, Denise jumped and almost dropped the device when she heard the bell above the door tinkle in greeting. She wanted to stare down the new patrons that crossed the threshold, maybe they would get the message that she was not in the mood today. It had been completely dead her entire shift and she would prefer it to stay that way instead of pretending to be pleasant for the sake of a meager tip.
Lifting her sharpened gaze, she thought better of her initial instinct as she slid her phone into the pocket of her jeans before approaching the pair waiting by the front door. The man stood tall with his head slightly ducked to his partner's height, turning an ear to her as she shared something quietly with him. He smiled in response, his gaze brightening as he turned to mutter something back.
Denise's jaw tightened. It took everything in her not to blurt out and ask if they were aware that love didn't exist, that everything they were going through right now was nothing more than a passing fantasy before one of them would go off and meet someone new—maybe even the other's best friend—and fuck them behind her back and—
Taking in a deep breath, Denise reminded herself that she came to work today to forget. At least this way she could be paid for her moping.
"Hi, how are you today?" she sounded once close enough, decidedly less perky than her usual customer service persona. The kitchen staff was going to be extra annoying today if they overheard her.
"Good, thank you! How are you?" the girl asked, her hand clasped tightly in her companion's. A bright smile covered her features, matching the bubbly inflection of her voice. She was just the kind of person that would have a flouncy bow in her hair, Denise thought bitterly.
"I'm doing okay, thank you. Just the two of you?" she quickly moved on, reaching for a couple of flimsy menus from the half-assed hosting station. (She lodged a complaint at least once a week over this podium, citing how unnecessary the whole thing was for a diner like this. Her manager never seemed to receive them though, if the fact it was still here meant anything).
"Yes, please," the girl chirped, her polite smile never waning.
"Perfect," Denise deadpanned, already growing tired of the fluffy energy radiating off the pair of them, "This way, then."
Denise didn't bother to check over her shoulder or make small talk as she led them to the booth in the farthest corner away from the bar top and kitchen window. Given the size of the restaurant, it wasn't very far, but at least this way she could strategically hide by the register and scroll on her phone or talk shit with the kitchen staff without prying eyes.
"This work for you guys?" she asked out of habit, stepping aside in presentation of the booth.
"This is perfect, thank you," the girl smiled, looking up to the man at her side as if to verify. He didn't do anything other than give a private smile to her, barely even glancing at Denise or the seating arrangement. Denise held back a huff.
Leo used to look at her like that too, but then he fucked her best friend for six months.
With that, the pair of them scooted into the vinyl seating across from one another, finally dropping their clasped hands. Placing the laminated menus in front of them, Denise rattled off the lunch specials from memory, barely registering her words as they fell from her tongue. A faux smile decorated her face as she asked for their preferred drinks.
"Um," the girl floundered, attempting to sweep over the menu in record time, "Just a lemonade, please?"
Denise nodded before turning to the man, ensuring she didn't narrow her eyes too much at him. She saw the way he looked at his girlfriend with adoration in his eyes before realizing it was his turn. The gentle curl to his lips melted away when he looked up at Denise, voice flat as he ordered, "Water."
A less than discreet scuffle from under the table sounded in the quiet diner.
"Please," the man tacked on at the end.
Better, Denise thought, a slight curl tugging at the corner of her lips.
"Alright, I'll be back with those drinks in a minute and take your order," Denise explained, slipping away not a moment too soon.
As she left them behind, she could hear the traces of a quiet conversation.
"Sorry," the man's deep voice mumbled, "I forgot."
"It's okay," the girl answered, ever-so-patient, "I know you're still getting used to it. You just have to talk to people like you talk to me, and you'll be okay."
A humph sounded. "But none of them are you."
Denise had to keep from rolling her eyes. She wanted so badly to believe that sincerity she swore was laced within his words, but today was not the day for believing in love and genuine relationships. Today was for being bitter while her ex cleaned his stuff out of her apartment.
Out of nothing but the need to wait on them as quickly as possible so she could go back to stewing, Denise quickly collected their drinks and returned to the booth in record time. After distributing out the glasses with a practiced smile, straightened to the full of her height and pulled out her pad.
"Ready to order?" she recited, lifting her eyes only minutely from the page.
The man piped up first, "Yes, please."
The girl smiled at him with a brightness to her gaze. Denise held back a scoff.
They prattled off their orders in quick succession, the woman with a pleasant smile and the man with over-polite manners. With every please and thank you, his girlfriend looked that much happier.
"Alright, I'll be back as soon as everything's ready," Denise smiled, itching to pass the order to the kitchen before hiding in her favorite spot.
Striding through the small diner, she passed off the ticket to the lounging kitchen staff before breezing by to her own hiding spot. Tucking herself by the register just out of sight of the single filled booth, Denise scrolled on her phone. Angling herself just so, she was able to peek at the table without being obviously spotted—her favorite place to stowaway without missing out on taking care of her tables.
Pulling up her photos as she had been before the couple's interruption, she attempted to delete as much evidence of the last year as she could before she was too annoyed to look at Leo's face anymore.
Unsurprisingly, it didn't take very long for the sight of his stupid, lying, cheating, smiling face pushed her to lock her phone to keep from calling his mom to tell her what he did. In search of a distraction, she peered over the screen, finding the only available entertainment being the couple she currently despised.
It was with narrowed eyes that she watched them interact. Their voices were too low to be heard over the quiet music and the distance between them, leaving only the sound of small mutters as they sat in their private bubble. With the position of the booth, Denise was only able to see the face of the man and the way he looked at the woman across from him, how he reacted to whatever it was she was doing.
Denise saw the way the grim set of his features loosened and melted when the woman laughed, how the tense line of his shoulders settled when she reached out and touched his hand across the table, and the way his body curled towards her as if the table was an obstacle for where he really wanted to be. Parts of her thawed as she watched, as much as she hated to admit it.
They were cute—even if the thought was stamped with bitterness.
Putting her phone away and tearing her eyes from the couple, Denise deigned herself to clean up. It was an easy enough, boring task that would keep her occupied, even if she would rather sit on the floor behind the bar and mope instead. With a spray bottle and a rag in hand, she worked her way through the aisles and wiped down tables and the vinyl seating. It was mindless and a little too easy to get distracted, but this was better than spying on some couple or going through her photos and remembering her own relationship.
Meandering through the tables, she eventually made it within earshot of the quiet conversation cuddled in the booth. Denise attempted to keep her ears to herself, not necessarily wanting to hear what she didn't have, but it was hard to tune them out with how minute her cleaning was.
"You really like your bow?" the man had asked, his voice a low grumble in song with the music, "Y'don't have to be nice if y'don't, peach."
"No, Harry, I love it. Seriously," the girl answered back, her voice light and convincing, "I didn't mean it as a bad thing that I have a lot in that color. Obviously, I like it if I buy it all the time."
When a pause sounded between them, Denise had to keep herself from peering around to see what was taking them so long.
"I wanted this one to be special," he finally mumbled.
Turning to face another table that needed to be wiped down, Denise glanced up at them without a thought. The man had a slight tilt to his head as he gazed at his girlfriend, his eyes incredibly soft with every sharp edge of him rounded out. Reaching out, he had one of the tendrils of her bow pinched between her fingers, fondly tugging on it.
"It is special, H," the woman insisted, "because you got it for me. Thank you—I really do love it, even if you're not sure."
Denise could only watch a moment longer, catching the woman placing her hand on his as he played with her bow. She had to turn away then, feeling more of that ice thaw from her chest.
Just in time, the bell at the kitchen window rang through the space with Kyle peering out towards her with an expectant look. Denise headed towards the kitchen, dropping off the cleaning supplies on her way.
Collecting the dishes, she strided towards the only occupied table. When the man saw her approaching, particular ticks and stiff sets returned to his bones though she could tell he was trying to keep the pleasant expression on his features. He hadn't been bluffing when he had told his girlfriend that no one else was her—he didn't know how to act that way with anyone but her.
Though it did appear he was trying, just as she wanted.
"Here we go, guys," Denise muttered, dropping off the correct plates in front of them (they both had ordered breakfast dishes, though it was too late in the day to still even be considered brunch and too early to be considered breakfast for dinner). "Everything look okay?"
"This is perfect, thank you," the woman smiled, her bow slightly askew on the back of her head.
A beat later, the man parroted, "Thank you."
The woman's smile beamed brighter when she turned to face him.
"Awesome," Denise posited, "I'll be by to check on you in a few minutes."
With that, she skittered away, leaving them to the relative privacy of their booth. In her hiding spot, Denise hesitated to pull out of her phone. She wasn't sure if she was ready to feel the icy chill of looking at Leo's smiling face in her camera roll.
She couldn't help her eyes from dancing up towards her patrons for a peek.
Rolling her lips between her teeth, Denise saw as the man reached across the table with a fork aloft in his hand. He fed his girlfriend a bite of his meal before he had even tried it himself, awaiting her reaching. She saw the way his eyes scanned over her features, a soft smile replacing that of contemplation as he watched over her reaction.
"Good?" she could see him saying.
Whatever response she gave him was enough to have a smile blooming over his face, complete with dimples and creases beside his eyes.
More and more of her thawed and she saw the absolute joy that crossed the man's face as his girlfriend extended herself over the table, lifting from her seat. His hand coming to rest on her cheek, he welcomed her in for a small kiss. Though it was a quick contact, Denise caught the way his eyes lingered closed, soaking in the moment for just a breath longer before he was dropped back in reality.
He was in love with her, no doubt. As bitter and frozen as she felt today, it was hard to imagine these two ending up like herself and Leo—one heartbroken and changed, while the other a liar with a smug face.
Icicles fell from her heart as she watched them share food and quiet conversation meant for just the two of them.
Maybe they would make it.

It was a good idea in theory. In reality, it was a shit show. Literally. Trips to Jeju are always fun, even if you’re supposed to be filming. However this time around you were informed that the group would be filming a parody of a popular dating show. Whose genius idea was that?
It would’ve been perfectly fine if your members were normal. To your pleasure or misfortune— it’s still unclear— they’re far from it.
There were no hitches the entire trip, traveling and the initial filming was as planned. You were assigned the role of a host while the boys were to be “dating” amongst one another. They followed direction as best as you could ask for with their limited attention spans, jumping from conversation to conversation and even getting in some teasing as the cameras continued to roll. You could already tell a lot of film was going to get cut seeing as they tended to get sidetracked into talking about incredibly personal details.
The “first dates” were going as you expected, you were instructed to go around and give them interviews to provoke more conversations when they started to fall quiet. Seungmin was indifferent the entire time while Felix tried to keep it as lively as possible, no doubt the former doing it on purpose. Jeongin and Jisung didn’t really even need you there as they practically forgot you even were— in their own little world. You got lost in the orchard when looking for Hyunjin and Minho, breaking the fourth wall a few times to ask the crew member on where to go, eventually giving up and wandering on your own for a little too long. Only to find Chan and Changbin sitting and have what looked like a normal conversation— they didn’t need much help either.
The looks of surprise and betrayal was fun to witness as they regrouped to pick who was riding with who to go to dinner. You got to pick whose car you rode in once they finished, and decided on Minho and Felix’s car.
Minho drives fast, which is even more fun when he takes off the child locks in the backseat and rolls down the window for you. You and Felix stick your heads out the window as he surpasses the other three cars, the both of you hollering at them with joy and barely catching a faint smile on Minho’s lips when you sit back again.
Everyone, including you, forgets that you’re supposed to be filming during dinner and goes silent as you eat. Until Hyunjin speaks from across the table, “Y/N’ie, I thought you were supposed to interview us earlier. Did you think we were so hopeless as a couple that you decided not to?”
His question threw you off, totally unexpected as your mouth was full. Half chewed and half hearted, “I got lost.”
“What did you say?” Jisung called at the other end.
“You got lost?” Chan chuckled at your right, the confession sending him and Hyunjin into a fit of giggles. The information eventually made it to the other side of the table and the rest of them erupted into giggles as well.
“It wasn’t my fault! Why were you two so far away?” You turned the attention onto Minho and Hyunjin, who shared an amused look.
When both of them simply shrugged, Changbin stepped in, “that’s okay. I would’ve stayed up all night looking for you if you got lost.” He beat his palm onto his chest and jutted his chin out with a nodding smirk.
“That’s nice, but you’re supposed to be interested in each other. It wouldn’t be a good look for the show—“ you gestured to the surrounding cameras— “if you showed more interest in the host than in the contestants.”
“But the host is always the most attractive one!” He exclaimed, throwing his spoon down. Your eyes widened in confusion of where this sudden infatuation came from.
You looked at your manager standing by one of the center cameras, he was laughing just as hard as the members, “I don’t remember this being part of the script.”
“It’s not a script!” Changbin’s chair scraped against the floor as he abruptly stood. “These are my true feelings! Do my feelings look like a joke to you?!”
None of the others were going to help you now, they all avoided eye contact and kept their mouths shut as you sought out a scapegoat for Changbin’s bombardment of affection. “If I say no, will you sit down?”
“No!”
Then it hit you, play along.
Your chair almost toppled back when you took to your feet, Chan stuck his hands out to catch you just in case. “Then yes!”
Jeongin let out a small, “what is happening?”
“You’re a joke!” You replied back to Changbin with feigned anger. “You broke my heart! Then you come on my show to rub it in my face!”
Everyone at the table was suddenly invested in where this was going. You glanced over at your manager and he waved his hands as though throwing up a white flag. Green light.
“Do you want to humiliate me? Is my pain funny to you, Seo Changbin?”
“I didn’t want our relationship to end but you pushed me to it! You forced my hand!” He shouted at you for two seats down.
“Everyone,” you dramatically looked the other members directly in the eye, “he cheated on me.”
Gasps erupted throughout the restaurant, including the staff playing into the story. They spoke over each other, everyone trying to get their words in as Changbin’s mouth dropped to the floor in shock. You forced yourself to repress a smile seeing the disbelief on his face, his reaction much funnier when he broke the fourth wall to look at your manager as well.
How could you’s and shame on you’s echoed throughout the restaurant, Hyunjin’s words particularly catching your ear.
“Cheating is unforgivable, how disrespectful. I could never be friends with anyone who cheats on their significant other,” his serious tone drawing in the rest of the table above all the jokes spewing about, all eyes on him now.
“Care to explain more, Hyunjinnie?” You and Changbin sat back down and gave him the floor to speak.
Hyunjin cleared his throat, “I can’t stand it. Just break up with them. If you truly cared about someone, you’d never, never treat them with that level of disrespect, even if you’re on bad terms.”
He was clearly upset now, arms crossed across his chest and looking down at his bowl. No one really knew what to say as his emotions were much more intense than the previous vibes of the dinner. As the host and since it was your fault the topic was brought up, you comforted him, “I agree with you—“
But Jisung adds fuel to the fire before you could continue, “I have something to confess.” Everyone turns to him. “I saw who Changbin cheated with. I caught them together.”
More gasps, fists slamming on the table, angry exclamations demanding to know more. “It was…” he paused and looked around the table, then stuck his finger in the direction across from you, “Hyunjinnie!”
Faking a faint, you fell back into Chan with a hand over your forehead. The oldest wrapped his arms around your neck and shielded you from the subject of the incoming yelling match. There wasn’t much you could really understand as everyone spoke over one another for the billionth time that night. When he released you, you faked wiping tears as Hyunjin went mute with his mouth agape.
“Any last words before we,” a fake sniffle, “move on?”
“I DIDN’T KNOW! I PROMISE!” He came over to your side of the table and fell dramatically to his knees, taking your hand and placing your palm onto his cheek.
“What are you doing, get up.” You tried to take your hand back but he only held on tighter.
“Say you forgive me.”
“You need to be on a drama with how dramatic you are,” you joke, trying to divert your attention from how tightly he held your hand made your tummy warm.
“I won’t let you go until you say it!” His eyes were beaming up at you with sparkles so bright, even the stage lighting wasn’t nearly as blinding. Part of you felt like he was apologizing for something he truly did to wrong you, you almost fell for it.
“Fine, fine! Forgiven. Get up and finish your food.” Hyunjin quickly kissed the inside of your palm, unsure if the cameras actually caught it, and went back to his seat.
Conversation shifting to something you weren’t paying attention to, lo and behold, your mind wasn’t nearly as focused as it should be. There was more screaming and yelling, mostly Changbin and Jisung, and you couldn’t even laugh with them because you were internally battling with yourself about his fucking eyes. Hyunjin’s eyes and how sincere they were, how soft and patient and agonized they seemed to be about a situation that was purely for show. It caught you so far off guard that when the members continued with the skit, you let them take the reins to do whatever they wanted.
By the time it was time to choose cars to head home, you were just going with the flow, not caring about the show anymore. What you needed was an ice cold bath. A freezing shower to get rid of the heat in your cheeks whenever Hyunjin’s gaze would linger on you for half a second longer.
That was exactly what you did as soon as the cameras were off and you were back at your hotel room. You rushed off to be alone and get rid of all the stupid thoughts that made your head dizzy because what the fuck?
It wasn’t like you were touch deprived, your members were practically an extension of your physical self. It was just the way he looked at you. Why were you so upset over a look? He looks at you every day, nothing new. You were looking back at him. Straight into his eyes. He was on his knees. Your hand was on his cheek. He was nuzzling his face into your skin. You almost leaned in. His lips looked so kissable. He did kiss you— your hand, at least.
Oh, it’s fucking over for you.
Knock, knock, knock.
The consistent rapping on your hotel door shocked you enough to pull you from the butterfly inducing realization. Just a robe on and hair still dripping, you rushed to check the peep hole to find the one person you didn’t want to see standing outside.
“Why’re you here?” You said a little colder than intended.
Hyunjin scoffed and held up the bag of chips and soda, “what a rude way to greet someone bearing gifts.” He pushed past you and threw the snacks on the bed along with himself. “Go get dressed, they have Netflix on the TV.”
You didn’t even have the will to say no, doing what he asked and changing into comfy clothes. Big sweats and a baggy hoodie seemed decent enough, and so did standing at the foot of the bed while he was sprawled out, clicking through the different movies. “What are you doing here?” You finally asked.
“Hanging out?”
“Obviously. Why?”
“Am I not allowed to hang out with you?” He had a point. “You were also really quiet at dinner.” Frowning a little, you sat at the foot of the bed and took the bag of chips. Admittedly, they hit the spot, he knew they would and smiled to himself when you visibly relaxed.
“That one,” you spoke again as he hovered over the movie you’d been telling yourself you’d watch when you had the time. Well, now you had nothing but time.
Cross legged and still on the edge of the bed, munching away while fully invested in this terrible movie, Hyunjin admired the way you’d copy the actress’s slight body movements when she was around the love interest, as if you were taking notes. Tilting your head, sitting up a little straighter, leaning your head on your palm, or tucking your hair behind your ear. It was utterly adorable and he loved being able to see you like this. Somehow, you forgot he was even there until the bed shifted behind you.
Suddenly there was heat, too much of it. You were suffocating with the obvious fact that you were not alone and haven’t been for the past hour. Hyunjin’s arm was bumping against the back of yours, seemingly innocent.
“Are you gonna share?” He said, chin brushing your shoulder as he gestured at the mostly empty bag of chips. You didn’t say anything, only holding it in his direction. His hand encased yours to bring it even closer to him, making your fingers almost shake with anxiety. It was nothing. Literally nothing. But it felt like everything.
“Open,” he commanded for the second time tonight. When did he get so close to you? You could practically smell his shampoo and body lotion. Dumbly, you faced him slightly and opened your mouth enough for him to slip a chip into it. Then unexpectedly, his fingers tipped the bottom of your chin up to close. “Chew before you swallow.” Your eyes followed his hand as it retreated, leading up to his own gaze that was already staring back.
The sound of your swallowing was comically loud, you wished the ground would open up and eat you whole. “I don’t want to kiss you,” you rushed to say.
Hyunjin smirked, amused. “I don’t want to kiss you, either.” His actions contradicted his words as his face unnoticeably inched forward. Warmth was swirling around you now, his shampoo, his lotion, his skin, his clean clothes, his left over toothpaste— “your breath smells like chips.”
There it was. Butterflies gone. You shoved him and his stupidly smug smirk harshly back by his chest and he thumped back into the bed. Immediately, you ran into the bathroom to rinse your mouth with mouthwash before coming back and attacking him. You were slamming the soft pillow into his body without so much as a complaint. More so, he was laughing, not even a wince because it didn’t phase him at all. It wasn’t enough. He didn’t get it.
Moving into a stronger position, you went from standing at his side to trying to hop over him onto the available bed space, failing miserably and flopping onto him instead. Chest to chest, practically straddling him, Hyunjin gripped your waist to keep you from falling off the edge. That also meant there was no where to run. “Now I really don’t want to kiss you.”
“But I really want you to.” His hands keeping you in place, the proximity, minty fresh breath— from you, at least. Your hand drifted to his face, ghosting fingertips up along his cheek to push his hair from his face. Another thing for the second time that night, he leaned into the touch, enjoying it much more than he should.
This felt like the right moment, right? This was how that girl did it in the movie. She did all those steps, the lean in, touch the cheek, brush the hair, what came next?
It was the actual kiss, the one part you couldn’t get yourself to initiate. It’s been too much teasing him, perhaps if you only just gave in a little— a slight graze of your lips against his, that’d be the ultimate power move. Payback for the emotions he made you feel earlier this evening. Just close enough to make his eyes flutter closed, make his breath hitch, make him pucker and wait for you to close the distance and feel one another for the first time.
That’s exactly what you did, and fuck, was it hard not to cave. His soft breath and pillowy lips, you almost did.
Knock, knock, knock. “Y/N’ie, can I use your hair drier? The outlet in my bathroom doesnt work.”
Saved by the fucking bell. Hyunjin audibly groaned, annoyed that his perfect moment was once again stolen from him.
You quickly pushed off of his body by his chest and rushed to open the door, stroking your hair flat and revealing Jisung on the other side. He immediately went into your bathroom, not noticing Hyunjin on the bed lobbing his head back with frustration.
“Han Jisung, you’re the worst. I was so close! Couldn’t you have waited two more minutes?!”
Jisung, frightened by the unknown voice, peaked around the doorframe and saw the other boy. “Oh, was I interrupting something?”
“No—“
“Yes!” You shook your head with emphasis, holding up your hands like waving a white flag.
Everything else happened so fast. One second you were standing next to Jisung and the next, Hyunjin was rushing over to the both of you saying something along the lines of, “give me my kiss!” You had pulled Jisung in front of you without really thinking about it and put him into Hyunjin’s line of fire. The two smashes foreheads at the fast pace the older moved, both crumbling to the floor in pain.
With the way the night started, this was a solid way to end it— watching your two friends rolling around the floor in pain as you laughed your ass off at their idiotic tendencies. Then them proving said idiotic tendencies as one tried to— hopefully playfully— strangle the other, in which you don’t know who started all the rough housing, you’re just there to patch them up when they’re done.

there you were, laying in your dorm room with an face mask on that was in the middle of moisturizing and cleansing your pores.
outside of your door, you could hear girls laughing as they walked down the halls to head to the assumed frat party that everyone has been raving about for the past week.
you on the other hand, WERENT interested in going, despite the amount of messages your friends and classmates sent you in hopes of you showing up.
it wasnt that you hated parties, you just didnt want to go to this party in particular since the people hosting it are pretty much all dicks.. hard pass.
you let out a sigh, rolling over onto your stomach as you checked through your social media and messages, immediately clicking on the 9+ messages your best friend sent you on instagram.
her: arent you coming to the party tonight?
you: yeah ill pass, i think im gonna stay in and watch movies tonight
her: hell no, you promised youd come out with me tonight. youve already missed every other party there’s been
you: damn i forgot about that
you: fine, ill be ready soon. just give me 30 minutes.
her: mkay, sounds good!
you rolled your eyes playfully, liking her message before plugging your phone up to get some extra juice into the battery.
lifting your body from the mattress, you jumped from the high bed and proceeded to head to your shared bathroom, washing your face from the skincare mask before starting on your makeup.
as promised, you were ready with 30 minutes. your hair freshly flat ironed and your makeup flawless and nearly perfect as always. you were dressed in a simple croptop and shorts that paired nicely with your converse.
you grabbed your phone and purse, applying a bit more lipgloss to your lips as you proceeded to leave your dorm to meet your best friend at hers.
your knuckles raised to gently knock at her decorated door, the slight smell of weed and perfume coating your nose once the door opened.
“hey sexy, come in.”
she gave you an wide smile, pulling you into the room before closing the door behind you as she immediately went back to adjusting her hair in her vanity mirror.
“hey, i thought youd be ready by now.” you said, letting your feet lead you to her bed, sitting down on it while you watched her.
“i am, just making sure i look perfect. you know whos gonna be there tonight.” she said before standing to grab her purse while smirking to herself. you on the other hand let out an laugh, knowing she was referring to her ex.
“i thought you were over him, what happened to that?” you asked, earning a sigh from her as she grabbed her keys and opened the door to her dorm, “well remember how i told you he showed up to my dorm a few days ago?”
“uh huh? dont tell me you fell for it.” you said before standing to follow behind her closely, looking over at her with an disgusted expression.
“i cant help myself around him, you know this.” she said, making you roll your eyes and laugh a bit, “yeah yeah, whatever you say.”
there was an good little walk to the frat house but once the two of you made it there safely, the fun began. people were everywhere, some laid in the lawn while others stumbled around and danced drunkenly to the music that was slightly muffled due to being outside.
you looked around, a bit in awe from half of the campus being at this very party that you were so tempted on turning down. “girl come on, we have to get drinks.” your best friend said, grabbing your wrist to pull you into the crowded and hot house.
for all the windows to be opened, it surely was too muggy to be in for too long. there was people dancing on eachother, playing drinking games, smoking, and even an few who were making out sloppily.
you let out a laugh once you reached the kitchen, grabbing a red solo cup that was stacked up for the guests, “i didnt expect the party to be so packed tonight, theres so many people here.” you said, speaking over the music that blasted through the house while pouring yourself some tequila.
“yeah, i told you it was gonna be fun, im glad you came.” your best friend said, smiling as she grabbed the bottle from you to pour herself some as well.
you smiled, leaning over to give her an hug before looking up to meet eyes with the famous ex that she was referring to earlier. “oh shit, look who it is.” you said, watching her eyes immediately latch onto him.
“should i?” she asked while looking over at you for permission. you nodded, although you didnt wanna be alone, the two of you are both adults so you let her.
she smiled at you, laying a gentle peck on your cheek before throwing back the liquor in the plastic cup. “ill be back, if you go anywhere else make sure to text me and tell me.” she yelled over the music, making her way over to him.
you took a sip of your own liquor, leaning against the counter in the non crowded kitchen. you gently rolled your hips to the music that was playing, the bass of the music hitting your ears better than it would with headphones.
a few moments passed along with a few drinks, at this point you were more tipsy than you thought you were and upon your friend not returning, you were starting to get a bit paranoid.
“you here alone?” you heard a raspy but smooth voice say, turning around to be faced with a auburn haired girl who was dressed in an basic hoodie with the sleeve rolled up and cargo shorts.
you knew exactly who it was, ellie, who was the most known drug dealer around campus who just so happened to be your classmate and project partner.
“uh. oh no, im here with an friend.” you said, analyzing her face that suited her voice perfectly. she looked so good, some of her hair pulled back out of her face which helped you see her freckled features.
she nodded, smiling a little, “makes sense, do you smoke pot?” she asked while pulling out her lighter from her front pocket to spark the joint she had in her opposite hand.
ellie leaned forward to put her ear to your mouth as you spoke, “yeah.” you said, laying a hand against the counter behind you.
she placed the joint between her lips, inhaling the smoke a few times before handing the joint to you, “well, here you are.” she said, watching you grab it from her.
“lets go somewhere more private. its so loud, i can hardly hear you and im shitty at reading lips.” she laughed while her low hazel eyes stared into yours.
you giggled a bit, “okay, lets find somewhere.” you said, nodding at her before grabbing her hand to lead her out of the kitchen and up the crowded staircase, inhaling the joint a couple more times once the two of you reached a unoccupied bathroom.
ellie shut the door behind the both of you, your lower back pressing against the bathroom sink as you inhaled the smoke and looked at the auburnette in front of you.
there was a sense of silence between the two of you, ellies eyes looked on you whilst you blew out the smoke and returned the same eye contact, “save some for me, baby.” her slightly raspy voice let out before she grabbed the joint from your fingers.
your eyes landed on her fingers and how long they were. long, slender, and veiny hands along with a sexy forearm tattoo that you knew for a fact would look so good wrapped around your neck.
you attempted to shake the thought from your head as she hit the joint and tilted her head at you, “im surprised you come to these kinds of parties, thought you were a good girl.”
“oh? well yeah, i havent been to any this year.” you said, looking at her who was stood in front of you. she let out an soft laugh, “makes sense.” she said, blowing the smoke away from your face.
“its nice to see someone i know here.” you said with an smile before feeling her place a hand on your one of your hips, “yeah definitely, glad i came over to you .” she said earning a hum from you.
“shit, we have that project together.” you said as you subconsciously laid your hands on her shoulders. as much as you hated to admit it, you were crossfaded and it happened so damn fast.
“i forgot all about that, we have another week to complete it.” she said, tossing the burned out joint onto the floor before stepping on it to put it out, “sounds like we need to formulate a study sess, huh?” you said.
ellie let out an laugh as she nodded, looking back to you. “yeah, definitely.” she said while the bathroom grew quiet despite the muffled music and talking from outside.
“you look really pretty when youre not in school air.” you heard her say, instantly making you laugh.
“do i? thank you. ” you replied, looking into her green eyes while she wrapped her arms around your waist to look at you, “is this okay?” she asked, tilting her head at you who was smiling.
you nodded, your eyes landing on her lips that were a bit flushed. ellie noticed how your eyes were drifting all over her, from her hands to her arms, and now from her eyes to her lips.
“do you want me to kiss you?” she asked you who was still a bit fixated on her lips while she smirked, “whyd you ask?” you said, feeling yourself grow immediately embarrassed once you noticed she could tell where your eyes were.
“i mean, youre the one looking at my lips. are you sure you dont want me to kiss you?” ellie asked, smirking a bit slyly as she pulled you closer to her.
you thought for an moment, teeth attaching to your bottom lip while you pressed your chest against hers, body leaning forward to connect your lips.
although you were in your sophomore year of college and was supposed to be having the most hookups and one night stands one could have, you didnt. the thought of fucking someone who couldve fucked half the school just wasn’t something you were interested in.
even though ellie was an well known junior around school who sold pot to pretty much everyone without getting caught, she wasnt to fond on fucking alot of people either but something was different about you.
the only person she was interested in was dina, a popular senior who seemed to have good grades but yet, always made time to attend every party there was. did i mention dina and ellie are exes?
despite the two of them being broken up, ellie and her still remained good friends regardless of anything which was good. since the breakup with dina, el’s focused on selling and keep her grades good enough so joel wouldn’t scold her.
until she ran into you.
she smirked against your lips whilst sliding her hands up your shirt. she made sure to make the kiss deep and controlled, letting her hands glide over your satin bra.
“good girl.” she mumbled against your lips, taking an hand from under your shirt to your neck as she placed an knee between your thighs, making you whine into the kiss.
you felt your stomach growing a bit tight while your purse slipped from your shoulder to the floor, a soft gasp for air passing through your lips as the kiss progressed. her hands sliding back up your shirt to palm your breasts.
“fuck.” you let out softly, eyebrows furrowing while she pulled away to kiss and suck your neck. this feeling making you a bit needy before you decided to buck your hips forward against her knee.
oh how that was a bad decision, the action making ellie pull away to land an slap on one of your thighs, making you squeal, “be patient, dont get greedy or ill stop.” she said, her eyes low and red.
you felt yourself nod subconsciously, obeying her commands while she unbuttoned your shorts to slide a hand into your panties, “im gonna make you cum on my fingers, do you understand?”
you nodded, watching in awe as she slipped her hand under your bra to massage your nipple, her fingers rubbing between your slit at an agonizing pace.
ellie let out a sigh, watching your face closely while being sure not to stop her fingers from rubbing and massaging your clit, “fuck!” you let out, eyes glossing over whilst you wrapped your hands around her tatted forearm.
“feels good, huh? such a pretty girl for me. open.” she said, smirking happily prior to drawing circles over your budded clit, your pussy practically dripping in her palm as she lifted her free hand to her neck.
you opened your mouth, moans coming from you nonstop with no words since your mind was too fogged to even start a sentence. ellie pushed two of her fingers into you, your insides gripping around her digits desperately.
the auburn haired girl nodded while looking at you, sticking her tongue out to kiss you sloppily as she curled her fingers in you in search of your spot.
you couldn’t help but moan into the kiss, arms wrapping around her neck before gasping out in pleasure, your head falling back, “ellie! dont stop!” you moaned, feeling her place kisses on your chin.
“thats.. right there!” you whimpered, “yeah? listen to how you sound. take it like a fucking good girl.” she said in an raspy tone, making your legs tremble.
ellie curled and yanked at your spot, her eyes completely latched onto you as you stared back at her with furrowed brows, teary eyes, and slightly parted lips.
“i want you to come all over my fingers.. let it all out for me baby.” she said, feeling your legs grow a bit more weak which caused her to grab ahold of your waist out of reflex, holding you upright.
you felt your stomach tightening, your pussy gushing and squelching over her fingers that repeatedly pushed into your spot. your mouth fell open as your breathing grew heavy, your chest beginning to rise and fall quickly.
“im gonna cum!” you let out, earning a hum from ellie before nodding, “cum for me, give it to me baby.” she said, smiling while watching you.
your eyes rolled back in awe, her fingers speeding up quickly, “pretty girl, look at you.” she said as you started to clench over her fingers, cumming on her fingers and in your panties.
ellie smiled, “goodjob, you like my fingers huh?” she said, leaning in to kiss you while you panted against her lips, slipping her fingers out of your pussy to rub your sensitive clit that was throbbing from the orgasm and not being touched.
the feeling made you whimper into the kiss, hips trembling and shaking, “why dont i go back to your dorm with you?” she said against your lips before pulling away, “yes please.” you moaned, her fingers continuing.
the two of you jumped at the sound of there being banging on the door, the sound of the doorknob twisting made ellie tear her hand from inside your pants once the door opened.
“motherfucker! someone’s in here!” ellie yelled, pushing the door back shut with an look of frustration covering her features.
frantically you turned around to button your shorts and pick your purse up from the floor while ellie started to wash her hands from your juices.
“i mean what the fuck? people dont know how to knock now and days?” she said, completely annoyed. you on the other hand acknowledged how cute she looked frustrated, watching her through the mirror as her eyebrows scrunched together.
once she finished drying her hands, ellie snatched open the door, immediately being greeted with an long line of people behind the door.
“cmon ellie.” you said to her who gave angry looks back to everyone else who mugged the two of you, “assholes.” she said to the people who stormed in past her, making you place a hand on her lower back to push her out.
as entertaining it would’ve been to see an fight, you werent interested in seeing it at that moment. more so ready to get in pajamas and cuddle.
“well, back to my dorm huh?”
“yeah. of course.”

_↷warnings: cigarettes, making out ? ˎˊ˗
♡┊͙thinking about sharing a cigarette with him!! first fic pls go easy on me 😭
Tumblr media
“I love you too, Andrew. And I love being alone with you as well.” You take a hit of the cigarette you stole from Andy’s right hand. You don’t know how long you stayed in that position for. How long the soft shake of the trees and the quiet of your heart beating played a soundtrack fond to Andrew. He could die, then and there, and he would not care if heaven and hell existed afterwards, because he’d already experienced something greater than heaven— you.
The sound of music and conversations surrounded the house. It carried itself through every hall, every room, only to be let out by the opened windows, and even then you could hear it from a mile away. Thank goodness Andrew’s house was miles away from the rest of civilization.
“Y/N!” A person calls for you, snapping you out of your thoughts, “Andy went to hide away in one of the rooms again!”
Christ sake.
Why had you even accepted the invitation to the outing knowing you would just be put on Andy-watch? As the constant chatter of people were starting to make your skin crawl, you were albeit a little thankful to be given the perfect chance to crawl away. You understood why he would leave his own party, some people started getting way too much. Still, couldn’t he have told you as to where he was going?
“Alright I’ll go find him.”
“Thank you! And tell him Alex is one minute away from leaving if he’s unattached from Andrew any more.”
You joke, “Fucking boyfriends” And with that you walk away, grabbing a plate of brownies before pulling out your phone to open Andrew’s contact up.
The people are looking for you
Are they sending you to look for me again?
Yes.
I come alone.
Baring peace and some brownies, if you let me
🧐
Is it the brownies I like best?
If you mean the ones I make, yes!
Peace offer accepted.
I’m technically outside.
Have fun trying to find me <3
Oh my god you hate to see me
Quite the contrary, I love to see you, especially when you’re all annoyed
I hate you, Andrew John Hozier-Byrne.
Yeah, Y/N M/N L/N, sure you do.
*message disliked by Y/N*
Good god. You were going crazy looking for him with only his vague ass hint. With the opening of his bedroom you were instantly greeted by the smell of cigarettes and a glass slide door revealing the balcony. There sat the person you had just been looking for, his back facing you. As he turned his face to meet you, a sly smirk grew, bringing the cigarette that rested on his left hand to his mouth,
“15 minutes! You had me waiting for you for 15 agonizing minutes.” He pats the empty chair to the right of him, gesturing for you to sit. You oblige, making your way towards him,
“It’s not my fault you didn’t tell me where you were. ‘I’m technically outside’ had me lost and confused.” You rested your brownies next of the ashtray on the table in front of you both,
“Where’s the fun in that? Plus. I am technically outside. And this is, quite literally, my bedroom. Why would I be anywhere else?” He teases.
You scrunch your face, getting more annoyed with him with every breath he takes, “You know, maybe downstairs, at the party you decided to host? You’re so lucky you’re pretty”
“Aw. You think I’m pretty.” He tried to cover it up, but he couldn't, the paleness of his skin was immediately greeted with a soft blush when the words left your mouth.
“Shush now, Andrew. May I please have a hit of your cigarette?”
He thought for a minute, his eyes darting between the cigarette and the soft pleads of your eyes, “You ask so kindly, but I don’t want to share till you confirm you think I’m pretty, you pure feek.” He takes another hit off his cigarette, but before he can exhale away from you, your body finds itself moving without much thought. Your hand softly guides his head back towards you, a shaky exhale being forced out of him as you lean in close enough to practically feel him exhale. The smoke fills the distance between you two, and without breaking eye contact with him (despite his eyes being glued to your lips at this point) you inhale the smoke he exhaled from his last hit.
“I think you’re a total ride.” You say as you guide the hand with the cigarette to your lips.
“Y/N.” The desperation seeped out of the call of your name like a plea. His hand takes back its control despite it unknowingly still on eachother.
You blow out the smoke, “Andrew.”
He watches you closely as you inhale and exhale, “Christ. You’re going to be the death of me.”
“I know, quite romantic, isn't it?”
He laughs, that intoxicating sound that could have fooled you for a siren, “Death by your hand. Put it on my gravestone.”
You two laugh at the thought for a minute, but when the laughter subsided, you’ve come back to the realization his hand still held yours. It felt nice, right, even, like that's where it should always belong. Or maybe it was just the prior drinks you took a short while ago finally catching up and making you crazy. Either way. His hands were soft, a stark difference to the vast amount of guitarists you’ve met with rougher hands. They were also long and slender, cuppings yours with no problem. He must’ve noticed you staring as he switched the hand that held the cigarette to the other. With his now open left hand, it found its way to your waist, tugging you only soft enough to get the message to you. You happily oblige to his unspoken ask. You stood up slowly, taking a step or two before reaching Andrew's chair and then straddling him beneath you, his hand hadn’t left your waist for a second. Even sitting down he was still taller than you.
“You look divine like this, my love. As close to me as can be. Away from the rest of the folks.” He grins that stupid smile you fell in love with long ago. You shake your head at that, leaning in to kiss him. He happily leans towards to meet you halfway. “I love being alone with you. I love you.” He pulls away and buries himself in the crook of your neck.
“I love you too Andrew. The sound of your voice had pulled him out of his thoughts like new music to his worn ears, “Andrew. Your stomach was rumbling.” Oh. When had it done that? He wonders. “Here. The brownies I made for you.”
He smiles and thanks you before immediately eating the plate full. Had he been this hungry and hadn’t known it? Oops. Guess he was too distracted by you. You took the last hits of the cigarette as it reached its end, putting it down on the ashtray, returning back to watch Andrew finish the brownies. You place your hand against his cheek and rub the crumbs off the corners of his mouth. His eyes turn soft with a small pleading look on them as your thumb stayed still on his lip. Placing a delicate kiss on your thumb, "Kiss me, please baby?"
You giggle, happily agreeing and leaning in to kiss him. The grip he had on you tightened. Even more when you went to pull away, “As much as I love being alone with you, Alex threatened to leave if he wasn't reattached to you.” You place a small pecks on the corners of his lips. He smiles at what you had said and done, loosening his grip just a bit,
“Can you promise me I have you the rest of the night?” He burrows his head back into your neck.
“I promise you I won’t leave your side.” You reassure him as your hands play with the curls of his hair.
You hadn't thought it was possible, but he had melted more into you, "Thank you for everything you do for me, Y/N" He murmurs softly into the skin of where your neck and collarbone met.
"You know you don't have to thank me for anything, Andy." He starts to slowly rock you both from the left to right, his arms around your waist, tight to make sure you don't loose balance and fall. And because he wanted to be in the comfort of your arms for longer, milking the feeling as much as possible.
"No. I'll spend the rest of our lives thanking you for everything you do. I'll love you for anything and everything." He finally leaves the comfort of your neck, pulling you in to kiss you again. You could feel him pour every emotion out to you in that minute.
You understood him. He understood you. That’s how well you two worked, words left unspoken could be heard, and words that were let out were messages received, no matter the phrasing. He wasn’t too happy about rejoining the crowd, but that didn’t matter, not when you kissed him so softly as a promise to what you had said earlier, and especially not when his hand was holding yours. He couldn’t care less as to where he was as long as it was next to you. Though he much preferred being alone with you.

You
Holding the cuff to the afternoon light, you examined your work closely, feeling satisfied with the end result. Growing up the daughter of a blacksmith, you learned several things, and though you could make a sword, you quickly found you preferred making jewelry; it filled you with joy, especially when you saw the end result and the look on people's faces.
You had kitchenware under your belt too, it was the kind of thing that always bought in coin, as it was a needed everyday item. Currently, you are perfecting your skills in armor making. You started to learn back in your early 20s, now in your late 30’s you could create decent work, but you wanted to be better. Never one to back down from a challenge, you made it your newest goal.
You just set the new cuff aside when the small bell chimed, filling the halls with the familiar sound. Stepping away from the desk, you peeked out of the doorway and down the hall, where you had a straight shot of the front door.
You quirked a brow as a man you’ve never seen before stalked in, the wind sweeping inside with him, along with a bad mood like a dark cloud overhead. Upon first glance, he almost seemed inconvenienced, yet you saw him walk in alone, no one forced him.
He was handsome with dark features, but dirty, and needed a good shave. The stranger wore the kind of scowl that would keep people ten feet away from him. His attire and the double swords strapped to his back gave his profession away, a mercenary. They often traveled through these parts en route to somewhere else and stayed a night or two; it made good coin for the local businesses when they did.
You thought about revealing yourself but chose to watch him a little longer. You observed him as he moved deeper into the shop, his eyes moving about the place as he took it in.
He scratched his beard, grumbling something you couldn’t hear, as he touched and poked at things along the way. He was a fascinating creature to watch, and one of the best-looking men you’ve seen in a long time, even under all the dirt and grime, and the sharp chip on his shoulder. That’s when you noticed the scar, one that made you curious about the how, and made him even hotter at the same time.
Even his walk was attractive, he seemed more like a wild animal than a man, like a feral wolf just wandered into your shop and right into your hands.
Pero (minutes ago)
Dragging his feet, Pero made his way through the town, eyeing signs on doors and windows, looking for work. He was tired, bone tired, his back hurt like all hell, his ass was numb from being on his horse so long, and he was annoyed. He was starving, he ran out of rations early this morning and was running on a piece of stale bread at the moment. He’d try one more place, then get some damn food, followed by a room, a bath, and a whore.
He was about halfway down the block when he noticed the blacksmith sign. In his half hour here, it seemed West Meadow had no work for him requiring his swords, but a man could always be useful in a shop like that.
Pero entered, his stomach grumbling and fighting with him. He expected to see a forge as soon as he walked in but was met with a plain room with a simple desk, two chairs, and a long table. Ahead was a hallway that likely led to some other rooms. The smells of iron, steel, wax, and fire met his nose, there was definitely a forge, maybe in the back.
Where the hell was everyone?
Patience wasn’t a friend of his. He called out and was only met with his own echo.
Cursing under this breath, he decided to ditch this plan for now, and just get some food. A door opened in the distance. He turned, expecting to see a man appear, but a man it wasn't.
Pero tilted his head to the side as his eyes raked over you. You were beautiful, with a face that was downright distracting, but that wasn’t all, when you smiled, you nearly knocked his bad mood right out of him. Your smile was so full and bright that he finally understood what that stupid saying, bright as the sun, meant.
You were well-built, sturdy, and curvy in the right places. That was clear even with the heavy apron you wore. Pero raised his eyes back to your own. Even the smudges on your face and a mask over your hair didn’t take away from your beauty.
Pero regained his composure, then asked gruffly, “who's in charge?”
Your smile dropped, “well, hello to you too.”
“Where’s your husband or father?”
“Are you serious?” you rested a hand on your hip.
His eyes dropped to your hand, you were wearing gloves, so he didn't know if you wore a ring or not, “Brother?”
An irritated laugh fell out of you as you shook your head.
“Unless…” he started, “you’re alone here?”
“I am the owner, you ass.” you held up your hands, then tore off a glove, “no husband either!”
He looked at you with disbelief in his eyes, “a woman alone, here? "his accent coming out even more now.
“Yes,” you growled back at him, growing more agitated.
Your initial sunny demeanor was gone, now you were like a cat with your claws out.
“Lo siento, “he held out a hand as he apologized like he was trying to calm a bull, “I’m just looking for work.”
He had a lot of questions.
A woman was usually married, which you weren’t, taken, or would be under her father's supervision, which you weren’t either. Or a whore, which you didn’t seem to be. You also claimed to run this business on your own, which was unusual. And you didn’t have a man guarding the door either, you were strange in fact, very strange.
“Not hiring,” you replied in Spanish, which made him raise a brow at you. “You can go now.”
You & Pero
What an ass.
You thought, sure he was hot, and you were very intrigued, but you didn’t need the attitude or the barbaric mindset. There were enough assholes in town who had opinions about you, and the kind of life you should live. You didn’t need some dirty mercenary putting his two cents in the matter.
You only made it a few steps away from him before stopping, you could feel him lingering, his eyes on you. You doubled back. You assessed him with your eyes and pulled the mask fully off your head.
Maybe he could be useful, you thought. “What are you good at?”
He smirked, taking a half step your way, “You really the boss?”
“Yes.” you hissed.
“Swords, blades, knives.” he paused, his eyes still on yours, even as he pointed at his suit, “repairs.”
“Hmmm,” you crossed your arms while continuing to study him. “I do all that. No need for you.”
He chuckled. Yeah, he liked you, he liked you a lot. Before he could stop himself, he asked,
“Is this really your place? No man is hiding back there?”
You rolled your eyes and pointed to the door, “see the name on the fucking sign, that’s my last name. My father is too old to work, I have no brothers, this place is mine. Got a problem with that?”
He smirked, liking the sass, this kitty scratches. “No problem.”
You locked in a stare with him, almost getting distracted by his eyes, you could lose yourself in them. In the back of your mind, you thought about the long list of things you had to do, and an extra hand around here might be good, but you weren’t sure if you’d reveal that to him yet.
You pointed to the door, “I’ll think about it. Come back tomorrow.”
Pero was about to say something when the door opened, he turned to see a man enter, then quickly looked at you again, seeing your smile return. Damn, it was a sight to see.
The man moved right past Pero like he wasn’t there and went straight to you. As you greeted each other, you pulled a pouch out of your apron and revealed a metal wristband.
“I was just about to send word, it’s finished,” you display your work proudly.
Pero grinned, a woman metalsmith, how odd. You continued to intrigue him by the second.
“Lovely work as always,” the man said your name while admiring it.
Your eyes darted to Pero’s. “Tomorrow,” you repeated sharply.
Pero huffed, then saw himself out.
.
Early Evening, The Three Bucks Inn & Tavern
As Pero parked himself at a table off to the side, he took in his surroundings. The Tavern was busy with locals, and a few people who looked like visitors.
“Can I get ya anything?” the barmaid asked as she stopped by this table, she spoke over the crowd, making sure he could hear her.
“Food and ale,” Pero answered while slapping the silver coins on the table.
She pocketed the coins. “Anything else?”
Pero sat back, really looking at her this time. The woman was good-looking, a little thin for him, he preferred them thicker. Like that woman from the shop, you were sturdy, you could handle him. He shrugged the thought away. A whore would be better anyway, get in, get laid, go to bed.
“A room and a whore,”
He’d been on the road for months, he needed to fuck a woman as bad as he needed a good bath and a shave. Plus, a good night's sleep, on a bed for once. He was getting older; all the years had taken their toll on his body. He was still skilled and quick on his feet, but he required more rest now.
“I’ll get ya a bed.” she pointed toward the door, “Take a left past the carriage house. Walk till you reach the end of West Street. Madame Mae’s is the last house on the corner. No missing it. Red door. Just about as subtle as you are.”
Pero frowned as the woman left to fulfill the order.
He was looking forward to a hot meal, real food, not the shit he was surviving on for the last few months. He hoped the whores at Mae’s were decent, he’d fuck what he could get, but someone nice to look at would be even better.
Well, you would be better. He tried to put you out of his mind, but like a phantom, you wouldn’t leave, he kept thinking about your smile, your form, and the way you shot venom with your eyes when he pissed you off. If you know how to forge metal, you could likely use a sword too, and the thought made his cock twitch.
The whore would have to do it, but you would be better.
.
Later, Pero
Now that Pero had a bath, a shave, and a satisfactory fuck with a decent whore, a good night's rest was next. But it was still a little early and he was feeling restless.
Mierda
Maybe he should have gone with William. But what the fuck would he have done with himself? His blonde-haired friend had done the foolish thing of falling in love and doubled back to the place they left behind nearly a year ago. After they left the wall, they spent months on the road, taking jobs and for Pero at least, trying to get China out of his mind.
Pero’s solo journey wasn’t going so well, and if had to spend another 3-5 months on horseback, starving, cold, horny, and bearing the weather, he’d kill someone. A lot of someones.
Pero wanted to stop moving, just for a little while, make some money at the same time. A lot of money, preferably. He already spent most of this year and last on the move, and if this town had no work, he’d just drag himself to the next.
Soon his restlessness, and busy mind led him to leave the bed. Leaving the inn, he stepped out onto the street, the townspeople were enjoying the weather, and the night market was still going, though some vendors were starting to pack up.
Pero only walked a few minutes before he saw you again. You were chatting with a vendor, a woven basket in one hand, full of various items. You were dressed in a dark tunic tucked into dark pants and boots, with a blade holstered to your right thigh. He expected to see you in skirts outside of the shop, but again, you were no ordinary woman, not by any stretch.
Pero lingered in the background, watching, soon he heard your laugh for the first time. Fuck, it was wonderful, just as wonderful as your smile. You were both the sweetest thing he’d ever seen, and mean as a snake when pressed, you also looked like you could throw a punch, and he liked that.
As the vendor made you laugh again, Pero felt something else and wanted to kick himself for it. He spent a total of 5 minutes with you, what the fuck did he have to be jealous about? He chalked it up to his sleep-deprived state, and maybe needing to get laid again tomorrow - that should calm him down.
There you were, his shadow, and all it took was 5 minutes. He thought about you all day, in the bath while he jerked off, and even when he fucked that whore. Pero felt ridiculous. Maybe William wasn’t the foolish one, maybe it was him.
Before he could stop himself, his feet were moving as he made his way over to you.
You
You felt eyes on you the whole time but could finally pinpoint the source. There he was, coming your way. All dark and broody and sexy as hell and cleaned up.
“Oh, the brute. Are you stalking me?”
He grunted, “No.”
“Sure?” You smirked as you shifted the basket to your other hand. “Because stalking is not a good way to get hired. In fact, it’s creepy.”
“Don’t flatter yourself, cariño. If I want a woman, I pay a whore.”
You raised your brows at him, what you were feeling wasn’t offense, it was something you couldn’t put your hands on.
“Well, the next time you go, why don’t you ask for a job. Maybe they’re hiring.” Without giving him time to respond, you were off, taking long strides away from him.
No matter how hot he was, he was irritating as hell. Brute, yeah, that was a good fit and that's what he was. The last thing you needed was to get involved with a guy like him.
No. Do not go there, you remind yourself. Even if he was hot as sin.
.
The next day, You and Pero
You were just setting up for a ring you’re working on, then the bell chimed.
It was much too early for clients, and there was only one person you could think of who would be here right now. You weren't sure if you hoped it was him, or dreaded the possibility. Leaving the work desk, you stepped out into the front room and saw him standing there.
“Ugh.” You sighed then headed back into the other room.
In the back of your mind, you thought of bringing your dogs next time, so they could watch the front door.
Pero took it upon himself to follow you inside. You leaned against the desk with crossed arms.
“What?”
“You said come back tomorrow.”
You were listening, well, half listening. He looked even better than he did yesterday, in the light of day, you could fully appreciate all the grooming he did.
As you noticed last night, he got a haircut, but it was still long enough to grab, to run your finger through. Unable to stop yourself, your eyes slid down his face, over his excellent bone structure, the cleaned-up beard, and down to his neck, even that part of him was sexy. You could feast your eyes on him for hours.
“Happy to see me?” He smirked, stopping in front of you, enjoying the way you greedily took him in.
“Not really,”
Pero's stance was confident, eye contact unwavering. “You need my help. Hire me.”
“What? So, you could protect me from men and beasts? I have a feeling you are both.”
He chuckled, fully amused, “I could,” he shrugged, “I am.”
“Besides, I’ve been in my share of fights. I’m good with sharp things.”
Fuck, Pero thought, your words hitting him right in his core and going lower. You were special.
“The team we’d make then, why not have the best swordsman on your grounds?”
You uncrossed your arms, "and you’re full of yourself, what a winner. I don’t need your help.”
Pero scoffed. “You’re short a man. Injury.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, how did he know that?
Auden hurt his arm pretty bad last week, it was mainly you and him here, he was your main employee. You had two apprentices, but they weren’t where they needed to be yet, you were carrying the bulk of work on your shoulders. This handsome, grumpy stranger did his homework.
Still, he irritated you, so you said, “I don’t need you. You can go now.”
Pero hated that. He didn’t mean to be so rough when he reached out to grab your wrist, but he didn’t like being dismissed.
He didn’t even know what he was going to say, just grabbed you, making you spin around to face him. Your eyes burned with anger and something else more sensual behind that. Before he could speak, you slapped him, clear across the cheek. He was more impressed than mad.
As he rubbed his face and chuckled, you grabbed an unfinished blade from the table and pressed the sharp edge to his neck. His brown eyes widened as he stared at you.
“Get the fuck out.” You warned through gritted teeth.
Your lips, that’s where his eyes went, even with a blade to his throat.
Instead of a fight, a counter move, or a slew of curses, Pero's sultry gaze lingered on your lips, then met your eyes again. Despite yourself, you stole a glance of his mouth, and those kissable lips of his.
Sure, the mercenary was a pain in the ass. Whatever depths of hell dragged this man to your front door, you didn’t know. He was like a dog who kept coming back and you didn’t totally hate that. In fact, you -
The bell over the front door chimed as a customer came in. You both heard it, yet remained locked in a tense lust-filled stare. When you licked your lips, simply to moisten them, his eyes followed the movement. The bastard didn’t even flinch with the blade to his neck.
Why have a whore when he could have you? Pero thought, the idea followed by images that awakened him in other places.
“Hello?” The patron called out your name, you knew who it was by voice alone.
“One minute,” you shouted back, eyes still on Pero.
“Repairs, the two blades I told you about,” they said from beyond the door.
“I start now,” Pero stated with a smug grin.
“Are you fucking serious?”
He chuckled, finding your astonishment cute. Pero took one more indulgent, long look at you then stepped out into the main room.
Unable to move, the blade still in your hand, you stared at the door. Did he really just walk in here, hire himself, then look at you like you were a steak dinner? Yeah, he did.
“Pendejo.” You cursed, then pushed the door open. “I don’t even know his name…”
.
Two weeks later, You & Pero
Pero continued to annoy and intrigue you at the same time. He was a good worker, skilled, able to repair things and even knew how to make swords and blades. It was impressive.
He wasn’t a warm guy, which was obvious from first impressions, an acquired taste really. You kept him away from interacting with customers because of his harsh, curt demeanor, leaving him to mainly work in the workshop and behind the scenes, while you handled the front of the house, you, or your apprentices Nura and Robert.
You liked Nura the most, not that Robert was bad, he was a fast learner, and attentive worker. It was just extra special training another woman. You enjoyed seeing her defy the social norms and carve out her own path, same as you. You saw her like a little sister.
Everything ran smoothly at the shop, but the two of you still didn't know much about each other on a personal level. Pero didn’t talk about himself, or his life, nor did you.
Having him around gave you more free time, and you used some of that to dive into your other love, herbalism. One of your dreams was to open an apothecary, the town already had one, but you wanted your own, and you already knew how to make yours extra special.
This dream was on your mind when you cleared out a back room in the building and started to play around with tinctures and blends on your downtime. Pero made little comments along the way when he saw you in there, they gave you a few clues about him.
Being on the road, he knew a few things and recognized some of the herbs. He had a comfort there, but when you were creating potions as he called it, you noticed he’d get a little freaked out, and it didn’t take long to figure out he had a thing about magic and witches.
You weren’t a witch, but you knew how to make some things, and some days, just to fuck with him, you exaggerated.
- Flashback, to a few days ago -
You only stepped away for a moment but returned to see Pero observing the jars from a distance. He stopped at a corked bottle with an unusual purple hue, and some kind of clawed root at the bottom.
Pero picked it up cautiously, then put it down, “what kind of witchery is this?”
You leaned against the wall and crossed your arms in a relaxed way, “ingredients to turn you into a dragon.”
Pero whipped around to you with a suspicious look, “Are you joking?”
“Yes,” you laughed, “unless, you piss me off.”
“I always piss you off.”
"You better be careful then. And stop leaving your hair around, I’m collecting it.”
As you laughed and walked out of the room, he ran his palm over his hair, which only made you laugh more.
- Flashback over -
.
Three weeks later, Pero
The tavern was alive, packed wall to wall, and the revelry high; it was a special night as you threw Nura a birthday party.
Pero didn’t do parties, but it was better than sulking in his room alone, and he was pretty tired of the whores at Mae’s. He’s been here over a month now, fucked most of them all, and it did little to calm what he really needed and wanted, you.
Whenever he saw you laughing, having a good time, or flirting he was tempted to march over and claim you for himself, to kiss you in front of everyone and make it clear he would cut the head off any man who tried to win your affection.
Pero was sure you were attracted to him, he caught the stolen glances, still you never made a move or voiced your attraction. He knew you weren’t shy. Was it him? Were you doing this to torture him? What a wicked witch you were.
Even when he had two whores the other night, it only took the edge off. How you haunted him so. He felt defeated, maybe? But he wasn’t a quitter. He’d get you all for himself somehow. Pero wished William was here, the blonde would give him advice, advice he needed because Pero wasn’t good at shit like this.
Fighting, fucking, eating, and drinking, be had that down. But trying to win a woman’s heart, he had no fucking idea how to do that. He had to do this right. He didn’t want you just once, he wanted you for good.
Could it be, were you his...princesa? No. You weren't a princess. You we're tough. You looked after yourself and made your own way in life. No, reina, that's more fitting.
Where’s the Irishman when I need him? I could use your help amigo.
As a drunk man bumped into his table, Pero scowled at him, then lost himself in thought again, downing his ale at the same time. Things you like, yes, he’d start there. Women like gifts, right?
He noticed you enough at the markets to know some things, including your favorite dessert at the bakery. Good. A plan. He nodded to himself, then stood. He stole one more glance of you, across the way and having a good time, then made his way out of the tavern.
.
The next morning
Your head was spinning, too much ale. To make up for that, you pushed your work back to the afternoon and planned to take a nap upstairs once Pero got in. Last night came to mind, he was there, then he wasn’t. You were surprised he even came.
“Speak of the devil,” you said while rubbing your temples.
Pero nodded, looking a bit awkward, then put the bag he was holding for dear life on the desk. “Here.”
You poked the bag, “what is this?”
He scratched his temple, his brown eyes looking puppy-like, “uh, that sweet round thing, with cream and berries.”
You grinned, “from the bakery?”
“Sí.”
You bite back a full smile, then open the bag, “is poisoned?”
Pero sighed and then started to walk away.
“I’m joking!” you shouted back at him, “thank you Pero.”
He glanced back, and you swore you could see a little smile on his closed lips.
.
The week would be full of surprises. It started on Monday when he got your favorite dessert from Sweets n Breads Bakery. He was kind of awkward all day, didn’t say much to you, and seemed wrapped up in his own thoughts.
On Tuesday, there was another pastry waiting for you, and some of your to-do list was already completed. He explained he worked late and decided to get more done.
On Wednesday, you arrived to another pastry, and flowers with dirt and roots still attached, flowers you were sure he tore from someone's garden on the way over. Soil was all over the place, and you had to dust it off your papers.
He didn’t hand them to you directly, just busied himself in the forge while they sat on your desk. You waited until he was free to ask him about them. He was just finishing his lunch in the kitchen when you joined him.
“So, flowers.”
His eyes moved over you as he swallowed the last of his food, “women like flowers, yes? Even women who wear pants?"
Pero was panicking a little this morning, worried the pastry wasn't enough. On the way to work, he saw a guy give a girl flowers, and then get a kiss in return, so he figured, why not try. Even if he felt like a damn fool doing it.
You could see his mind going as you watched him. He was so cute, so innocent in this moment, you could kiss him right there. You also knew from the mix of flowers, they were from Mrs. Jennings' garden, and she was likely throwing a fit right now.
“Ever give a girl flowers before?” you asked as you sat next to him.
“No,” he answered, his eyes on you.
“Well, thank you,”
He shrugged, playing it cool, but you could see in his eyes he was hoping you liked his gesture.
“And the pastry, it was delicious, you’re buttering me up, Pero.”
“You like them. Yes?”
“I do.”
He smiled and relaxed back in his chair.
You leaned in closer, playing with his collar, “I won't say it's working but - “ you plant a kiss on his cheek. His eyes lit up as he smiled wider. “I have work to do.” You got up, taking one more look at him before leaving the room.
.
Thursday
Nura was organizing something when Pero came in, he walked in like he was in a hurry, and spoke in a low tone,
“I have a question.”
She looked up at him with a smile, knowing it was about you.
At first, she thought Pero was an ass, which he is, but she liked him now, he grew on her, and when it came to you, he was kind of adorable and an idiot at the same time.
“If it's about flowers, Mrs. Jennings is on a warpath, I recommend you stop taking them before she bites your hand off. She may be old, but she's mean as hell.”
He nodded, then came around the desk to join Nura.
“What else does she like? Boots? I could buy her boots?"
“She likes practical things. Maybe something she could use.”
“She likes swords.”
“She loves them, maybe a little too much.”
“What if I make her one?”
“Pastries and flowers are nice, so are boots, but if you make her a custom sword, that may do the trick. No promises, just sayin.”
Pero nodded, he grumbled a thank you, then headed back to the forge. Robert passed him in the hall and joined Nura.
“That's a man on a mission, nearly ran me over.”
“He’s smitten.” she handed him a note, "the supplies.”
“Somehow he seems a little less - grumpy these days.”
“Little by little, but I think even if he is in a good mood, he’d still be grumpy.”
Robert hummed, “I still don't get why she likes him so much.”
“I think I do; they’d be cute together.”
Not agreeing, but not going to argue either, Robert just nodded, then made his way out with the list.
.
Days later
You weren’t supposed to come in today, so when you came through the door, rushing like a bat out of hell, it took Pero by surprise. Not just because he didn’t expect to see you until tomorrow, it was the dress that shocked him the most. In all his time here, dark colored tops, pants, and boots were how you dressed yourself.
“I’m not here, ignore me,” you shouted as you rushed past him, then Nura.
The younger woman caught a glimpse of Pero’s expression and laughed.
“She’s wearing a dress..."
“Once in a blue moon, for special occasions. Her childhood friend is getting married today.” Nura explained.
Pero’s brows raised higher as you appeared again, a pouch in hand.
“A dress-" he repeated, taking you in with his eyes.
You hiked up the dress, he got a flash of your legs as you carefully slid the pouch into your high boot.
As you smoothed the fabric down, Pero feasted on you. To see you like this, so feminine as the soft flowing fabric hugged your form and for the first time, he had a good look at your cleavage, the fabric cupping your breasts in a way the loose shirts never did; he was a man ready to pounce, to scale the counter and claim you then and there.
“Fuck-“ you cursed,
He laughed. Strong and independent, a mouth like a sailor. A lady, and a warrior in one. His perfect woman.
“Can’t believe I forgot this. I gotta go,” you started to breeze past them, then stopped as you locked eyes with Pero. You grinned, eyeing him with the same sultry gaze he sent your way. “Like it?” You asked while giving a teasing spin.
“Sí, you should wear more dresses.”
“Maybe one more this year, if you give me a good reason to,” you winked at him then dashed out of the door.
“That woman -“ Pero shook his head as he stared at the door.
“Oh you are far gone Pero,” Nura patted his arm, “just tell her already.”
“Tell her what ?”
“How you feel. I’m sure you’ve noticed; she has other suitors.”
“And I’ll fight them all.” He grew serious.
Dammit, the thought. He came here for work, rest and to get laid. He didn’t expect this, he didn’t plan to -
Nura’s light laugh pulled him out of his head. “Just tell her. She likes you too.”
“She flirts with me but makes no moves.”
“You really are adorable when confused.”
“Adorable? I’m not adorable.”
She chuckled, “Have you considered that she wants you to make the first move?”
“She’s no weak woman, she makes swords and wears pants.”
“That doesn’t mean she doesn't want to be perused, she takes charge daily, maybe she wants someone else, you, to take the lead this time.” She playfully tapped Pero’s head
He groaned and swatted her hand.
“Take the lead Pero, don’t overthink it,” Nura advised, then laid her hands on the counter. “We have a lot of work to do, ready?”
“Ready.”
As they headed back, he asked something he was curious about. He started by saying your name,
“Are you the same as her? No husband?”
“No, and there won’t be. I’m gay.” She answered.
Pero quirked a brow.
She added, “I like women. And I do have a girlfriend, the bartender at three bucks, with freckles.”
Ah, Pero thought, he’d seen her before.
“This is a strange place indeed,” he muttered, “I’ve never been to a place like this, with such women.”
“I like to think our town is special. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have people with opinions or those who accuse us of devil worship or witchcraft.”
“Are you, a witch?”
“I know some things, “she grinned, “can I watch you finish that armored plate before I start my work?”
Pero grinned, “Sí, vamos.”
The kid, well Nura wasn’t a kid, she was 25 now, but he called her that sometimes; she had given him some good advice about you and handled his moods with ease.
In Pero’s time here, Robert still wasn’t a fan of his, but they had no fights between them minus some minor disagreements. Your main guy, Audin, was still in recovery but came in from time to time to help with smaller things. His role reduced until he got better. Pero liked the guy, what little he saw of him.
In these weeks, Pero found himself most fond of Nura, she was like the little sister he never asked for. He could see why you liked her so much and why you took her under your wing.
.
A couple of weeks later
Pero studied his work with a sharp eye, searching for any imperfections.
Any other time he made a blade, it was robotic, just doing something he knew how to do, but this mattered more than any of those times. It had to be perfect because he was shit with words, he hoped he could hand you this and you would know all the things he wanted to say to you.
Months ago, if someone told him a woman like you existed, he would have laughed and called bullshit. But you were real, very real, and meant to be his. For you, he’d move into this town for good, put the long journeys to rest, and figure out all that shit he avoided all his life, like how to win a woman's heart and share his life with someone. He was sure he'd fuck up, a lot, piss you off, and get it wrong, but as long as he had you, he would keep trying to get it right.
Once the blade was packed up, he made his way to your house on the edge of town. He was nervous, more than he'd been in a long time, and he felt foolish. He wondered what Willaim would say if he saw him right now.
.
Pero stared at the door, part of him wanting to knock, and the other wanting to run, to turn around and get the hell out of here before he got himself even more wrapped up in this, in you.
It had to be witchery; how else would you have such a hold on him?
What are you waiting for, get moving, Pero heard in his friend's voice, phantom William pushing him forward. He could hear the dogs barking and coming his way in the distance.
Pero knocked on the door…
Once Pero was inside, you offered him a drink. He sat at your kitchen table as you poured ciders then went over to him.
“A home visit, what’s the special occasion?” you asked as you sat.
“Visiting the dogs." he smirked.
"Of course," you shook your head and took a drink.
Over the last few weeks, you’ve seen a new side of Pero emerge, and it made you like him more.
You’ve made the first move before and thought about doing that with him, but it would be so much more fun if he did it. You wanted him to charge in here and ravish you, and you were hoping today was the day, but the sense of nervousness you’re getting off of him makes you unsure.
“I have something for you,” he pulled a wrapped item from his pouch. He placed it on the table as his eyes met yours. “A gift.”
“Really?”
Pero watched, holding his breath as you unwrapped it, revealing the most perfect blade you’ve ever seen. Down to the handle, and the engravings. In the past, you made a few for yourself but always felt like you were missing something. Pero, this man sent to you from the universe, somehow got it right.
You held the blade, running your fingers over it, admiring it as your lips parted slightly in shock. At first, Pero was worried you didn’t like it, but as your eyes lit up, he relaxed and dropped his shoulders.
“Pero - “ you breathed, your eyes flicking to his, then back at the blade. “This is perfect.”
His small grin turned to a full smile and before you could say anything else, he dragged your chair closer to his with one hand. While cupping your cheek, Pero leaned in, bringing his lips to yours.
Smiling as he kissed you, you put the blade down and grabbed his arms. Pero drew you into his lap as the kiss deepened, intensifying with each pass of each other's lips.
His kiss was passionate, consuming, desperate and you could swear, your body was feeling all the things he wanted to say to you and was too afraid to say; the floodgates blasted open and as your hands roamed, finally exploring each other's bodies, you knew there was no going back after this.
"Mi reina, I'll fuck you on the floor if I have to. But it must happen now."
The hoarse desperation in his voice only made you hotter for him.
You tugged his hair while teasing another kiss, “I prefer a bed handsome. Follow me.”
“Gladly.”
You held out your hand, he took it. As you made your way to the bedroom, Pero latched on to you, kissing and biting at your neck, his hands moving over your breasts as his cock pressed against your ass.
.
Hours later
Laying on your stomach, Pero beneath you, you traced his scar with your fingertip. He looked as good as you imagined naked; he was delicious, and you allowed yourself to feast.
He had a map of scars from his legs up to his face, he was beautifully shaped, from his hands to his cock, to his broad shoulders and bone structure. If you could only have one man in your bed from here on out, you’d choose him.
Pero felt calmer than he had ever been, relaxed after the come down from your second round some time ago. The first was hot, rough, and fast, like wolves in heat under the full moon. The second time was less rushed and even more enjoyable.
You traveled the length of the scar, then met his gaze. "What’s this one from?”
“A time I was left for dead. The bastards tried to take my boots. I took their lives.”
You grinned, imagining him out in the field, and all his adventures.
A comfortable silence fell between you for a while, until Pero broke it.
“- quite the game we played cariño.”
“Wasn’t it,” you lay on his chest, planting a kiss on his chin, then on his lips, “but, who says it’s over?”
“Meaning?”
“I haven’t seen your sword skills yet, we must duel.”
He chuckled, shaking you both slightly as it rumbled through his chest, “Yeah?”
“Yeah, and…” you kiss him again, “there’s a whole list of fun games we could play.”
He quirked a curious brow.
“Well,” you nibbled his ear before telling him what was on your mind.
“Dios mio - “ he said with wide eyes.
“You know you like it,” you grinned, then kept going.
“I do,” he confirmed, caressing the back of your neck as the games you whispered got filthier and filthier.
God, you were speaking his language, and he wasn’t sure if you were real - well if he hadn’t just fucked you twice, which was more than worth the wait, he'd think this was magic, witches work, but you, and this, were all real.
You continued, spilling your dirty thoughts in his ear while now stroking his length with your hand.
Fuck, Pero thought, he’d keep you forever, even longer after that. You would never know another man because you were his.
Pero took hold of you, pulling you into an earth-shattering kiss before holding you against him.
“Good thing for you, I'm not going anywhere. You're mine now.”
You smiled against his chest, “I think I might not object to that.”
“Woman,” he groaned with a slight laugh,
“For you,” you looked up at him and weaved your fingers through his, “I'll make an exception.”
“Now that we’ve come to an understanding, I want food,” he sat up, pulling you with him, “then we fuck again.”
“I like the way you think.” You straddled his hips, teasing him a little before getting off. “Come on my ravenous beast, I made stew last night, and I must say, it's damn good.”
You slipped on the tunic and then made your way out of the room.
Pero slipped on his pants and followed, “as glad as I am to eat, I’m more excited about dessert.”
As you busied yourself gathering bowls, Pero watched from the doorway. As good as it felt to have you, as happy as it made him to see your reaction to the blade, he couldn't shake his sense of worry. When he said you were his, you replied with a maybe, well, not exactly, you said,
“I think I might not object to that.”
Might not
That didn’t sit right.
He was all in, dead serious about it. If you’d have him, there was no one after you. But if you were unsure -
Pero called your name, prompting you to glance over your shoulder at him with that heart-stopping smile of yours.
“Yes?”
His doubts felt stupid, with the way you’re looking at him now, the light in your eyes, that smile. Still, he needed to hear it, he needed to hear it from your lips.
Pero came over to you, you could tell his mood had shifted. With concern, you turned to him and took one of his hands in yours.
“What's wrong?”
“I mean it,” he said your name as he cupped your cheek with one hand, his eyes big, brown, and vulnerable as he stared into yours, “You’re mine.”
Your eyes softened on him even more, “lo sé.”
“Say it,” he demanded.
You slipped your other hand around his back, pulling him closer, “I’m yours, Pero.” you leaned in, brushing the tip of your nose to his, then nibbling his bottom lips. “and you are mines.”
The grunt that left him at your words was primal, like a wolf claiming his mate, and before you could say anything else his lips were on yours. That was all he needed, this was home now, you were his home, and he wasn’t going anywhere.
“What about dinner?” you giggled as he kissed the length of your neck and bunched the tunic over your hips.
“That can wait, I need you, now,” he growled, walking you backward to the table.
“Wow, I thought food was your first love,” you teased as you took his hardening length into your hands,
“It is, but now it has competition with you, mi amor.”
You smiled as he moved between your legs, “say it again.”
“Mi amor.” he threw the tunic across the room and quickly covered your breasts with his mouth,
You ran your fingers through his chocolate waves with one hand, guiding his cock inside of you with the other. You moaned together as he filled you,
“I love you too Pero,” you purred.
You closed your eyes, pleasure pulsing through your bodies as you moved your hips together. Thanking the stars and sky above for their gift to you; the very thing you didn't know you wanted in the form of a grumpy mercenary who stole your heart and set your soul on fire.

Heartbreak Hotel—
Quinn Hughes x reader
Warnings: suggestive content (no actual sex) (it's literally only at the end), lmk if there's anything else I need to warn ppl about :)
I live for the angst of it all… I’m also ignoring the 40 requests in my inbox cause I’m lazy so here, to make up for my lack of motivation
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Briggs, the Boeser family's two-year-old baby boy bounced on Y/N's knee. Small giggles erupted from him as he played with the sleeve of his favourite aunt's blouse. A smile spread across the woman's face as she placed a kiss on the crown of the baby's head, "so when are you having one of your own?" Charlotte (I did in fact make a fake wife for Brock, so what??) asked with a smug grin as she sipped her coffee.
"We've definitely talked about it," Y/N joked wiggling her eyebrows at Charlotte who let out a laugh, the woman picked up her coffee cup to hide the look of discouragement on her face from her friend.
"Hughes still having intimacy troubles? I thought it would be much easier for him once he married" Y/N's lips formed a straight line as she thought of her husband, "that's definitely not the issue, we decided that we just aren't ready yet" "Ready? Y/N/N, you've been married three years nearly" Y/N looked at her best friend with this knowing look, "I will never understand how your guy's relationship works"
The blonde let out a quiet sigh, "we are just in a strange place right now" she shrugged, bringing her hand up to remove a lock of her hair from baby's hand, "it's not that I'm not ready, I would love to be a mom, but sometimes it feels like he doesn't want to take those next steps" she said with a sad smile.
Quinn's romance and love seemed to be fleeting, his concentration landing more on his life within the hockey world, rather than on his wife. An issue that the two were tip-toeing around, sharing soft kisses and gentle words but only when he was thriving, only when he was accomplishing greatness. If he wasn't blossoming to the level that he felt was acceptable the idea of loving his wife went out the window, and his heart stayed at the rink along with his passion.
As time went on Y/N learned to accept that this was the love that she was going to receive for the rest of her life. She would always fall second to hockey, it was his life and his greatest aspiration, and she could live with that. But sometimes she wished he would just choose her for once.
"That's utter bullshit, he loves you, you know that," Charlotte said with a smile, Y/N just laughed and joked the agonizing conversation away, no longer wanting to speak about it if no one was going to listen to her point of view. "I know he loves me, he married me for a reason" She bitterly smiled and took another sip of her coffee.
"When is Beau supposed to stop in?" "He said he would stop in around noon, so any minute now?" both women stared at the grandfather clock in the corner of the room, eleven fifty-five.
Within a matter of seconds, a man walked through the doors and sat in the seat next to Y/N, taking the baby out of her arms and tucking him into him, "hello little man" he said squeezing Briggs' cheeks. "Look at his little smile," he said in a baby voice as he threw the baby in the air and caught him, just to listen to the little boy's addictive giggles. "You two have that same IQ," Charlotte mumbled with disgust, followed by a smirk gaining a fake scowl from the man, Briggs trying to copy the look plastered on the grown man's face.
"My beloved Y/N, where is your grumpy husband, he hasn't been answering my texts all day, I'm having withdrawals" a fake tone of desperation lacing his voice as he batted his lashes. "Both sets of in-laws are in town for my mom and Jim's birthdays this weekend, so we are hosting dinner tonight at the apartment" The woman stole the toddler right out of Tito's hold, sticking her tongue out at him as the little blondie curled up in her lap.
Her eyes wandered over to the clock again, realizing that it would be best if she left sooner than later in order to help Ellen and her mother with dinner preparations. "Speaking of dinner, I should probably head out" She smiled sweetly and placed the tiny human back into Tito's grasp. "I've barely blessed you with my presence and now you're leaving?" the woman nodded, "fake friend!"
"Bye Beau," she pushed his shoulder, ducking down to place a kiss on the toddler's forehead, "bye-bye Briggs," she waved. "No goodbye kiss for me?" Charlotte asked as the woman got up and off of the couch to place a sloppy kiss on her best friend's cheek,
Finally showing herself out as the calls from her mother already began rolling in on things to grab from the store before making her way home.
⭐︎⭐︎
"Y/N, straighten your back, your posture is horrendous" her mother scoffed from behind her as she helped pull her mother-in-law's fresh-baked apple pie out of the oven. "Sorry Mom," she said just above a whisper, adjusting her stance and placing the hot pie on the marble counter.
Quinn walked into the kitchen in search of a corkscrew, he was dressed nicely. A navy button-up shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows leaving his muscular forearms on display.
He was always so carelessly attractive.
His eyes met hers, taking a moment to appreciate her beauty, drinking up her silk-covered silhouette and then flashing her a soft smile. She hated how just the softest looks or gestures could flip her stomach, and wipe her memory of the past few months. Rid him of any blame for why their marriage seemed to be drowning rather than thriving.
"Mom?" he snuck up behind his wife and placed his hands on her hips to kiss her on the cheek, "Dad needs our help in the dining room," and just like that, his warmth was gone.
Quinn was always a gentleman, whether they were in a fight, or hadn't spoken to each other in days he would always greet her with kind words and treat her as if nothing was wrong between them. It was all one big mind-fuck. Although she was starting to believe that he had lost interest in her, he had made that very clear early into their marriage, she would always find things about him that she loved most about him and hold onto those feelings.
It wasn't like that in the beginning though, she didn't always feel the love slipping from between her fingers, it was intertwined in her soul, Quinn's love was her everything. He was gentle and kind, promising her the world. Reminiscing of the life that he had dreamt of with her, but with every seeming day it was as if that dream was washing away.
Y/N couldn't find it in herself to hate him. Even after the long nights of endless fighting, screaming until the only thing she could hear was her heartbeat in her temples. Opting to sleep in the spare bedroom because she couldn't look at him without feeling nauseated. Getting so close to just leaving, walking out the front door and never turning back. But after every heated fight he would come to her at the latest hours of the night and apologize, hot tears streaming down his face as he apologized for raising his voice at her, and she would do the same thing to him.
They were in a constant cycle of tearing each other into pieces and then trying to tape each other back together as if the emotional damage wasn't already in effect.
Dinner started at exactly six sharp, Quinn held Y/N's hand over the table, a small motion that hid their issues with a sweet facade.
"So Quinn, your team is really taking advantage of the playoff push, you guys are killing it" Mr Y/L/N stated, his voice raspy with old age. Quinn's face lit up at the mention of hockey, "The rebuild was really good for us, I'm just hoping to be able to contribute to the push" his wife smiled bitterly, and Ellen sat silently taking in the micro-aggressions that the couple sent each other. "He's so humble," the young woman's mom grinned at her daughter and the rest of the table "You're basically carrying the team love" she smiled sweetly as Quinn denied her claims.
Quinn squeezed Y/N's hand, making her look at him with furrowed brows, "I never got the chance to tell you that you look stunning, that dress is..." And there he was again, making soft comments that rid her of any anger or resentment she was holding against him. "Thank you, you look very handsome as well" she whispered as he leaned forward slightly to place a kiss on her bare shoulder.
The parents sitting around the table completely oblivious to suffering that was silent but present.
"So when are we expecting grandkids?" Ellen said with a grin missing the way that both you and Quinn went rigid in your seats.
There it was, the million-dollar question.
The woman smiled awkwardly and looked up at Quinn as he shrugged, "we're a little young don't you think?" he asked with an unamused expression as he watched his mom shake her head. "I would say twenty-five is a reasonable age" she shrugged and looked over to Y/L/N's mom who nodded in agreeement.
"I mean we are both busy people, and Quinn is always away for work" "You're blaming us not having kids on my lack of presence?" Quinn scoffed and took a sip of his beer. "That's not what I meant, Quinn" She took a deep breath and shook her head, "I just meant that we aren't ready, you've said it yourself it'll happen when the time is right!" she said defensively as she removed her hand from Quinn's and turned her body to face anyone else at the table other than him.
She picked her wine glass up and off the table to finish the remainder in her glass before heading to the kitchen to grab dinner from the oven, her mother-in-law following closely behind.
Ellen walked into the kitchen to see the girl leaning against the counter, her face hidden in her hands as she let the tears flow. "What did my son do now?" the older woman asked gently as she pulled her daughter in-law into her arms.
Ellen Hughes always knew how to fix a situation.
"It's not his fault," she didn't even know how to express their issue in words, sentences getting caught in her throat as she cried into her mother-in-law's arms. Ellen shook her head, "you can't carry all of that baggage sweetheart, let me try to diffuse it" she said dis-attaching herself from the young woman and grabbing a fresh bottle of Pinot Grigio from the wine fridge.
"I'm going to sound so selfish" she mumbled as she pulled the roast out from the oven, "but sometimes I just wish he would pick me, he would choose me over hockey and the team" Ellen's expression softened, "that's not selfish, you just want to be a priority, you already should be his priority," she said quietly pouring herself and her daughter-in-law a glass of wine.
"The same thing happened to Jim and I just after we moved to Toronto, he was so consumed with the Leafs and their development that I carried all of the weight of our family," she said softly, wiping away the girl's tears, "you're not selfish, I just think you need to knock some sense into my son" she smiled, "if you talk, he'll listen, it's one of his greatest attributes" she smiled and grabbed the roast from the counter before heading back into the dining room to serve dinner.
⭐︎⭐︎
Quinn stood behind Y/N in their shared closet, she held hair in her hands as he gracefully unzipped the back of her silk dress. An awkward look on his face as he tried to look anywhere but her almost naked silhouette, ignoring how the fabric pooled at her ankles and left her vulnerable.
"If I say something will you listen to me?" she asked quietly, turning around to see him in nothing but his sweatpants, a sad smile on his face, "I need you to hear me."
She watched as he nodded his head, getting slightly distracted from the way his back muscles flexed as he reached up and grabbed himself a new facecloth. His shoulders were broad and muscular, his face soft. A pair of black wire-framed reading glasses sat perfectly on his nose, his brown slightly out-grown hair messy from running his hands through it. He was so attractive, it almost made her angry how distracted she found herself.
"I want to fix this," he answered shortly with a frown, she slid on a pair of silk pyjama pants, remaining in her bra as he pulled her into his chest, "I love you."
"Do you really though?" she asked tiredly, forehead leaning against his chest as the exhaustion filled her voice. "Of course?" he pulled away, slight panic on his features as he heard the seriousness in her tone. "I feel so unimportant to you lately, I just want to feel like I mean something in your life, like the past six years of my life haven't been wasted on a man who prioritizes everything above me" she confessed.
Quinn opened his mouth to answer but was promptly silenced as she covered his mouth with her hand, "listen," she sighed, her hands now playing with the hair on the back of his neck as she made him look her in the eyes. "I don't think I could tell you the last time that I looked at you and truly felt like you still loved me, you spend all your time with the team, and I'm not mad about that, I'm so proud of all the work you're putting into your dreams," her voice cracked as tears welled in her eyes, "I just want you to make me feel seen, I feel like our dream of a life together is slowly withering away."
Quinn's brows furrowed "I don't underststand," his hands squeezed her torso lightly as he pulled away, "is this because I said I wasn't ready to have kids yet? Cause I know your'e ready, and it seems like everyone around us is ready, I'm just not there yet," a tone that resembled defensiveness laced his voice as he watched the girl wipe her eyes and shake her head. A dry laugh left the girls mouth as she sadly shook her head, "you're missing the whole point Quinn, it's not about wanting kids, I can't remember the last time we talked, or laughed together, or even the last time you genuinely touched me when it wasn't the outcome of a win and a night out with the boys!"
She watched a realization hit him, dawning on him just how much he had been taking her for granted, "I didn't- I don't know?" His face falling as he backed up against the dresser, "I don't know how to make it right" was all he said staring at his wife whose face was puffy and tear covered, wearing an old t-shirt of his and short as she hugged herself.
Y/N knew Quinn wasn't inherently bad, the look of realization on his face showing her that this absence wasn't because he was bored or that he was tired of her, he was lost.
She bent down onto her knees and kneeled in front of him, "I just need you to love me." "I do love you" he reached out and grabbed her hand, "I promise that I've never stopped loving, I never will." "You need to show me that, you need to make it right Quinn, cause I can't stay in a marriage where my husband doesn't acknowledge my existence, and I don't want a life with someone who only needs me around when he's feeling on top of the world" she whispered as she place a kiss to his knuckle.
"I want the good, the bad, and the ugly, and I want it all with you."
He reached forward and wrapped his arms around her to pull her into his frame, "I will make it right," he whispered as he sat her down on his lap, straddling him, his hands finding comfort on the soft flesh of her thighs. "I know you will" she mumbled, feeling like for the first time in a long time he was actually looking at her, actually listening to her every syllable.
His hand travelled up to her hip, nose bumping into hers as he eyed her bottom lip, "can I kiss you?" "Please," she said breathlessly as he swooped in and captured her lips on his, his hands kneading the skin of her thigh as her hands found his jaw line, holding him as close to her as humanly possible.
She pulled away first, her chest heaving, lips swollen as she looked at his hazy expression, "that was a good start," she grinned as he wrapped her body around him, getting up off of the ground and travelling into their room. "My apology hasn't even begun yet" he said smoothly, his lips making their way from her jaw down to her collarbone.
"You do have a lot of apologizing to do" she whispered into his neck as he laid her down on their bed. A small grin on his face as she innocently stared up at him, "don't worry, we have all the time in the world."

Historia de Amor 2
Tumblr media
Hello everyone!
This is the Part 2 of "Historia de Amor" with Ona, I had a few people asking to have a second part so here is it :)
TW : Jealousy, a hint of sadness and so much love.
PART 1 IS HERE and BONUS CHAPTER HERE
First Jealousy
It’s been almost a year now since you and Ona met and you are dating. After spending a summer shared between Villassar de Mar with Ona's family (that you appreciate very much) and Menorca only the both of you, you are back in Manchester.
The weeks pass and over time, you realize that Ona’s new teammate who is also a teammate of her national team is taking more and more place in her life. When Ona informed you of her arrival, she explained that she wanted to help her to integrate as quickly and easily as possible into the team. Having been there at that time, having Ivana take her under her wing had helped her a lot and she wanted to do the same in her turn.
You didn’t think anything bad for a second about your girlfriend’s idea, you know how good she is and her tendency to want everyone to feel the best possible. And you know in your heart that Ona never thought a single second wrong either.
Yet, you find yourself tonight after a day organized by the girls of the team with a strange feeling in the stomach. The players' boyfriends or girlfriends being accepted, it's quite naturally that Ona offered to you to accompany her. And you agreed, enjoying spending time with the United's girls.
But the way the new one had to constantly seek Ona’s attention throughout the day ended up drawing your attention and certainly not in the right way. She didn't hesitate to interrupt you several times while you were in discussion with Ona, she hurried to settle on the other side of Ona during the meal and you simply couldn't have a single second with the brunette without the other being stuck to her sneakers.
And then there’s also the way she looks at your girlfriend that makes you half crazy.
Of course, Ona is beautiful to die for. Even if she is just as beautiful internally, you must admit that Ona's beauty is the first thing you noticed the first time you saw her. But only you would have the right to look at her that way. Not to mention the hands she tends to leave lying on Ona’s arm or back when she talks to her or seeks her attention.
Your mood deteriorated throughout the day and in the middle of the afternoon you finally asked Ona if you could go home. She accepted, searching for your eyes, probably to see what was going on. But you just looked straight ahead before following her to say goodbye to her teammates. You stayed a little longer with Leah Galton who was the host today to thank her and you went to Ona’s car.
You were relieved to get her out of the claws of the one you named in your head "The Leech", but you knew on the other hand that you would receive several questions. Usually, you are more of the type to enjoy every minute of this kind of moments and it's Ona who decide when it's time to go home.
"Are you all right?" asks Ona nicely as she close her door.
You simply nod and hum, tapping on the car screen to put music on.
"You’ve always been a terrible liar, Hermosa"
You sigh softly and look up at Ona, who is watching you as good as she can while keeping her attention on the road.
"I just…" you start to trying to formulate your thoughts coherently, in vain. "It’s nothing, Love."
"You’re starting to worry me"
The worry is indeed audible in Ona’s voice and you bite your lip. When she puts her hand on your thigh, adding a comforting pressure, you let yourself go against the seat back and look at her.
"Your new teammate… Does she only knows you?"
"No, why?" asks Ona frowning lightly.
She seems to have trouble making the connection between your mood and your question and it adds a little guilt to the jealousy and discomfort you feel.
"She hasn’t left you all day, so I was wondering"
You shrug and look outside your window. The sun was shinning today, blessing you with late good weather.
"We play together for Spain, it may reassure her to be with someone who speaks Spanish"
You just hums without stoping to look at the landscape. You don’t believe it for a second. Despite her behavior with Ona, she seemed rather comfortable with others.
"Well, next time you’ll tell her to keep her hands in her pockets" you mumble as the car stops at a fire.
"What are you talking about?"
Again, Ona’s surprise is completely sincere. You know she probably didn’t realize that the physical touches of "The Leech" were invasive, both being Spanish there’s probably nothing to surprise Ona. But you, you saw that the intentions were other than friendly.
"She won't stop touching you"
Ona’s incredulous little laugh makes you shift your attention to her and frown. The car restarted, but you didn’t really notice it, focused on the face of the Latina.
"Are you making fun of me?"
"Of course not, but you just imagine things. There is nothing but friendship between her and me"
"For you maybe, not for her. Leah must have pulled out the mop to wipe the drool she left on the floor from looking at you"
"You talk nonsense"
You let out a sarcastic snort and cross your arms on your chest before looking out again. So not only are you not believed for a second, but also not especially reassured by Ona who must take you for a fool.
"Yeah, sure." you mumble, clenching your claw.
No screams were exchanged between the two, but the icy silence that reigns in the car for the rest of the trip testifies to the tension born between you two. And still, you didn’t mention everything you felt. No need to pass for crazier than that.
Arriving at Ona’s apartment, you take refuge in her bedroom. No other words were spoken and this will be the case for the rest of the day. Ona stayed in the living room and turned the TV on, it seems to you on the sports channel. You don’t know what else she’s doing, but there’s no way you’re taking the first step.
After dark, you realize Ona is probably thinking the same thing. You hesitate a few seconds between two possibilities but you end up opting for a shower. You could have gone home too, but the fear of Ona not reacting to your departure is too present. Coward? Most certainly.
The hot water allows you to relax a little and you may stay there a little longer than usual, but you needed it. After your routine after shower, you decide to go to bed. The sound of the TV still rings in the living room and you don’t even know if Ona saw you go from her bathroom to her bedroom in pajamas.
You roll yourself in a ball under the sheets of your girlfriend, slightly reassured by her smell that is everywhere. Lost in your thoughts, you lose a little sense of time. Some time later, Ona gently opens the bedroom door, also showered and dressed for the night. And, still without a word, she slips under the sheets, next to you.
You feel your heart getting heavy, you and Ona never went to bed angry. The times you’ve had an argument can be count on the fingers of one hand since the beginning of your relationship and it has never been so deep.
You let time pass again, your eyes fixed on the wall facing you. Ona doesn't move next to you and you finally realize that she must have fallen asleep. A few more minutes pass before you decide to get up. Gently pushing away the sheet, you leave the room and quietly close the door of the room behind you. You find refuge on the balcony, sitting on one of the chairs you used to occupy when you both remake the world while looking at the stars.
Except that today you feel lonely and your nightwear doesn’t keep you warm. You soon find yourself shivering, but you decide not to worry about it at the moment. This argument broke your heart and before you realize it, warm tears roll down your cheeks. Crying make you feel better, you feel like the steel hand around your heart is loosening a little.
To keep some body heat, you stick your legs to your chest and put your arms around them. Your chin rests on your knees and you get lost in the observation of street lamps and the noise of Manchester night traffic.
Your tears had stopped when you feel a blanket resting on your shoulders, but your eyes are red and swollen. You didn't hear Ona’s hesitant steps coming looking for you, she was far from sleeping too. You turn slightly and for the first time in (too) many hours, you cross the chocolate look of your girlfriend.
Ona’s uncertain gaze becomes tinged with guilt when she realizes that you cried, but that’s not what you want either. So you return to your starting position, enjoying the comforting warmth of the plaid.
"Come in, you’ll catch cold" whispers Ona.
Not trusting your voice, you shake your head negatively to refuse her proposal. She sigh softly and sit on the chair next to you. Without saying a word, you give her a piece of the blanket. You may be angry, but that doesn’t mean you want her to get sick.
She accepts it and wraps herself in it with you, turning towards the street too. A few minutes pass, but without the unbearable tension that existed in the car earlier.
"I shouldn’t have told you you were talking nonsense"
Ona’s voice finally breaks the silence and you turn mechanically in her direction. You don’t know if she cried, either, but she looks tired and sad. She turns her attention to you too and you simply nod.
"I’m sorry Y/N"
How can you resist her? You know she is and that it isn't her fault. Taking a big breath, you let yourself go against her, laying your head on her shoulder. You close your eyes in relief as you feel her arm slide around your waist. Reconciliation seems to be on its way.
"I wasn’t accusing you of anything."
Your voice is on the same tone as that of Ona, a slight murmur. You obviously had time to reflect on the conversation you had and the events of the day, since the time you returned. So precision seems important to you.
"I know you don’t think badly for a second and I trust you. But even in hindsight, I’m pretty sure she’s crazy about you. And I can’t stand the idea."
Ona remains silent for a few moments, stroking your hip. You look up at her to observe her, understanding in her gaze that she is reflecting.
"I’ll talk to her, okay?"
You nod softly, looking back over the balcony gate. A few more seconds pass before you feel Ona move and she gently raises your face in her direction, two fingers under your chin. Her look is soft, tender. The one that make you melts, like vanilla ice cream in the Spanish's sun.
"I love you. I will always do everything to make you feel the best with me. I’m really sorry that I didn’t listen to you earlier and that I got so worked up. It just seems so implausible to me that I might be interested in someone other than you… I only see you."
You smile while your heart is flying somewhere near your throat.
"I love you too. More than anything."
She smiles back and with her fingers under you chin, she approach your face next to hers. After caressing your lips with hers, she offers you the most sweat and loving kiss ever.
First Separation
It was on one of the birthdays of one of Ona’s teammates that you heard the news. It’s been several days that your girlfriend's thoughts seems elsewhere and busy, you asked her some questions but she answered each time that she preferred to talk about it later. You accepted this answer, while making sure that everything was fine and that it didn't affect in any case the feelings she could have for you. Even if it was reassuring, you can’t help but wonder what’s going on. You may have a little idea, but you’d rather not get your head screwed for nothing.
During this evening Ona's mind seems to you once again elsewhere. She was smiling while listening to others speak, without speaking. Her behavior drives you to be extremely clingy with her, but the Latina doesn’t seem to be bothered by that. You didn't expect to find her place on the sofa empty after a short time in the kitchen to reserve you a drink.
Caught in a Mario Kart game, the others don't seem to have noticed her absence. This allows you to go looking for her quietly and it's finally on the balcony that you find her. Leaning against the embankment with both hands, looking at the city. You hesitate to join her, not wishing to disturb her, but you end up delicately closing the door behind you to go towards her. Gently putting a hand in her back, you put yourself at her height after having laid a kiss on her cheek.
"I really like this city" made Ona thoughtfully without leaving it with her eyes.
You leave her face you were watching with attention to look at your turn the city. This is where you grew up, so you’re used to her figure. You let it go for a few seconds, before asking her timidly, without having the courage to look at her.
"Are you ready to talk to me about what’s been bothering you these days?"
Ona sighs softly and you see her move a little, turning her silhouette in your direction. On your side, you let your eyes slide on the headlights of the cars on the main road, a few hundred meters from you. Her hesitation makes you realize that what you’re thinking is probably what’s going on. And that terrifies you.
"You’re leaving" you end up whispering, still without looking at her.
"I have to go home"
You knew that Ona’s contract with Manchester was coming to an end and that Barcelona finally realized the potential of your girlfriend. But you preferred to bury your head in the sand and hope that time stops. You know perfectly well Ona’s desire to return home, to go back to her country, her family and the team she carries in her heart. She never hid it from you.
"Barcelona made you an offer?"
Your voice is always whispered, the knot in your throat prevents you from speaking properly.
"They’re offering me a contract until 2026. I’ve already accepted. I’m sorry."
What’s the answer to that? Nothing, obviously. So you remain silent, fighting against the sadness that invades your body a little stronger with each second passing. The silence stretches and it is finally Ona who takes the floor.
"Can you say something por favor?"
"What do you want me to tell you, Ona? I am extremely proud of you and happy that your dreams come true. You deserve it, sincerely. But I’m gonna miss you so much."
"I’ll miss you too"
Her hand which she places on yours makes you turn your gaze in her direction and you stick to her, seeking a source of comfort to this announcement. She gladly pass her arm around you, keeping you close to her.
"I’m leaving Manchester, but I’m not leaving you. I’m sure we can make it work. I’ll come see you whenever I have free time and you can come whenever you want."
You stay silent for a little time, but maybe too much for Ona who turn your face in her direction. She looks stress and a little sad, too. You know that it wasn't an easy move for her to make.
"Hermosa please talk to me. I have to know what you're thinking or I'll go crazy"
"What if you find someone else?"
As always, your fear to lose her is the biggest. You never claimed to consider her yours, knowing perfectly well that love isn't commanded. So you don't feel safe from losing ither one day and this geographical distance will probably not help this fear.
You see Ona leaning her head to the side, a slight air of annoyance displayed on her face. You have already had this conversation several times and she has always found the right words to reassure you. But there, a new parameter is added to the equation. So you try to explain yourself.
"You will be far from me, there are probably thousands of women who would like to be in my place and there are probably as many who have more in common with you than me. Starting with your native language and where you will live."
Gently taking your face in her hands, Ona looks into your eyes. You have always found her eyes particularly expressive and you sometimes still have as much difficulty to support her gaze. But this time you strive to do it, feeling that you need to impregnate yourself with the words she will say.
"I don’t care Y/N. I love you and I only want you. Before, now and after. Nothing or no one will change that in anyway."
First Homecoming
Ona seemed happier than never since she's in Barcelona. You can see it on the picture in FC Barcelona's Instagram, her smile shinning like the Spanish sun. You know that she miss you though, jumping in an plane every time she can to come back to you. You made the journey to Barcelona twice too, but it's not enough for both of you. Every time you have to say goodbye break your heart a little more.
Ona’s old teammates stayed in touch with you, much to your surprise. Not all of them, but you often meet Ella or Millie for coffee during the week. You know that the first of the two is as lost as you have since her best friend left for Arsenal.
"You should go find her" Ella once made you, over her hot tea.
"I can’t this weekend, I have copies to correct for Monday and an exam to prepare" you sighed softly.
You're working as a literature teacher for teenagers. It’s not always easy, but you have the vague hope of getting a few of them interested, fighting as hard as you can against TikTok. (While watching edits from your girlfriend on the same app, but it's another story.)
"I know. What I’m saying is that you should go find her, for good. Moving to Barcelona."
Your movements stop and you look at the other girl as if the ears of Martians had just pushed on her head. Obviously, you thought about it. But Ona never mention it.
"I’m not sure Ona wants me there. She didn’t offer to follow her when she told me she was leaving."
"Because she knows your whole life is here. Your family, your job… It cost her a lot to leave Barcelona for Manchester and she didn’t want to impose that choice on you."
"How do you even know that?" you asked, frowning.
"She told me. You both are as stupide as the other."
Oh. That’s news would probably have changed a lot if you had the courage to ask Ona directly. Again, fearing a negative answer from her, you preferred bury your head in the sand. Smiling as you saw your brain start up again, Ella had left you to your thoughts.
It only took you two days to make your decision, return the keys to your apartment and resign. When you told Ella, she cheered the same way she did when she scored, promising to save the surprise for Ona.
*********
Now that you’re in Ona’s apartment, you’re wondering if this was really a good idea. The Spanish girl doesn’t know you’re here, gone to training as usual. You had the help of Ona's mother to enter, the Batlle happier than ever to learn that you were coming in Spain.
You know Ona’s apartment for having come here twice already, but you go through it, looking for some changes while waiting for her return. The Spanish architecture is very different from the one you have always known in England, but the light colors and brightness offered by the sun is not unpleasant. And the fact that the perfume of your girlfriend floats everywhere in the air is particularly great.
You enter the last room not yet fully furnished, which Ona had thought of turning into a guest room. It's also where she stored the things she wants to get rid of or what she has not yet had the courage to go down to her cellar. You smile while looking at her old trophies, promising yourself to get her to put them somewhere on a shelf in the bedroom.
"¿Quién está ahí?" ("Who's there?")
You hear Ona’s voice, startling you violently. You drop your phone which makes an atrocious noise when falling on the light wooden floor. You hurry to pick it up and get out of the room, having noticed a hint of anxiety in the brunette's question. Well, arriving home realizing that someone else is there when you live alone can cause concern.
"It’s me"
Your answer is simple and Ona may have seen you before you spoke, but you blame yourself for scaring her. That said, seeing Ona looking at you wide-eyed, her training bag still attached to the shoulder is worth it.
"Y/N?"
"It’s not Hermosa anymore?" you ask without hiding your amusement.
It takes a few more seconds for Ona to realize that she’s not dreaming, but after the thud her bag makes when she drops it, the next thing you know is that you finally find the warmth of her arms. Her hair are still wet from the shower she took at the end of her training, but that doesn't prevent you from plunging your face into the hollow of her neck to breathe in her smell.
You feel your feet leave the ground when she squeezes you even harder against her, despite the fact that you are the higher of the two. But it makes you laugh and take your face off her neck so you can look at her. Her eyes are sparkling and her smile is bigger than ever.
Some kisses exchanged later, your feet find the ground, without taking your arms off from her. It’s not exactly like she’s in a hurry to release you either.
"What are you doing here? I thought you couldn’t come this weekend?"
"No, I couldn't" you answer with a shrug and a smile.
Ona’s frown and you can not resist the urge to put your lips between her eyebrows to deride her. Taking you by the hand, she takes you to the living room and to the sofa.
"I don’t understand. Were you able to free yourself?"
You gently bite your lip looking at her, thinking about the best way to tell her what you did.
"I quit" you finally confess.
"What? But why?"
"I also gave my apartment back…"
Well, your apartment. Ona came to live with you after a year of relationship and she spent a lot of time there too.
"… and I thought maybe it would be better to find a job and an apartment elsewhere. For example in Barcelona?"
Ona looks stunned and blinks several times, as if to put her ideas back in place. Her silence makes you stress and you hurry to add
"If you don't want me here I can always take an apartment not too far from yours, I will understand, you have already installed everything as you wanted. And in addition I -"
"Stop rumbling" says Ona, putting a hand on your mouth to shut you up. "You’re telling me you dropped everything you had in Manchester to come here?"
"To come to you" you answer, your voice muffling by her hand, before she remove it. "I realize that Manchester isn't home anymore. Because you're not here. Home is where you are."
It takes some seconds to Ona to digest the information and you didn't leave her face with your eyes. When it clicked and maybe she realize at last that you're not joking or this is real life, she mumble how much she loves you before kissing you so hard that you lose your balance and fell on your back on the couch.
Some hours later, you were both fully naked in her (your?) bed, cuddling. You were half-laying on here while she plays with your fingers.
"Where are all your stuff?" Ona asked
"I take some of the things I need first in my wallets, but the other will come after. I had to send them with DPD or something."
Ona hums, kissing your fingers one by one, making you smile. You are convinced that you will never be tired of her or the sensations she gives you. It’s been three years, and you haven’t once seen a decrease in the strength of your feelings. Quite the contrary.
"Do I have to look for an apartment though?" you smile.
"No way" Ona frowns, even if she knows you're joking. "You made me feel home when I was in Manchester. I will make you feel home here, don't you dare going somewhere else."
"Your accent is heavier than when you left" you smile again, making her roll her eyes.
"I only speak English with Keira and Lucy here. Even Ingrid asked me to talk to her in Spanish even if she answer in English."
"Well that's hot."
"Answering in English?"
"No" you laugh. "I always find it hot when you speak Spanish"
Your girlfriend smirk at you, drawing you against her so she can kiss your lips, before quickly stop it.
"Wait. When I speak Spanish or when people speak Spanish? 'Cause if it’s hearing Spanish that’s doing something to you, we’re gonna have a serious problem"
"Only you" you laugh, getting back to your kiss.

THESE are the factors that classify the education system. Although not immaculate, it serves its purpose - to send vulnerable people into the workforce, and devour them whole. Their livelihoods, their time, and the minuscule bits of energy left inside of them.
But there are some who are born with advantages, and some who have to work their ass off for it.
I, unfortunately, have the latter. Things don’t come easy, instant, or perfect. I am actually quite idle, I enjoy the freedom of gaining knowledge and insight. Uniquely, tried and tested knowledge that is critical for survival.
And that, is how I manage my late nights. By listening to “Advice to Survive” with its host, McGregory Callahan.
Back in the 60s, he was a CWO-4 Navy Seal officer, a rank given to an exclusive few. And now that he’s retired, he humbly shares his advice to the community, and showcases guests every now and then to keep the show alive. But majority prefers to listen to his voice, which I strongly agree with.
“And so, ladies and gents…” His voice was smooth and husky. “It’s time to sign off, folks. Stay safe, and always remember…” I chuckled, saying his closing lines with him.
“Live, not die, and try to survive. Thanks everyone.”
As the radio chipped off, the sun poured its rays into my window, as if the heat wasn’t enough. I groaned, my eyes leading me to my collection of “wake-up” capsules. Tempted, and deceived, I slithered my way over to it, dropping another 2 or 3 in my mouth.
I grumbled. Regret seeped into my veins, my body woozy and tense. Once again, I stayed up.
And of course, it happened to be a Monday morning; where I had a morning class. “Well fuck me gently with a chainsaw.” I began stuffing my bag with my utensils, paperwork, snacks. I could never get used to this shit. “I hope nobody pisses me off for the rest of the day.”
“The bell. Ugh, the damn bell. Never have I wanted to smash that thing into pieces.” You could barely make out the crowd, more or less. Not even your best friend’s face.
“Wait. You had a rough night…again?” Heidi glared, her eyes were practically glowing with concern.
“Maaaaaaybe.” You slurred, taking baby steps to your seat. “Good thing my seat mate is a quiet kid.”
Speak of the devil, Marka entered the room, his footfalls silent as he strolled to your direction. His timing was impeccable.
“Good morning, Marka.” You mumbled, your eyes not meeting his. Besides, there were no eyes thanks to his bangs.
“Heh…” In response, Marka gave an exciting grin, happily waving a good morning back to you. How he could be energized on a Monday morning, was a complete mystery to you.
Actually, a lot of him is shrouded in mystery. Or rather, in suspicion.
Other than the weird name, Marka was supposedly from the countryside of Honduras, Tegucigalpa. His parents were also from Honduras, and he worked as a pizza delivery driver, and stayed at a friend’s apartment for shelter, with the purpose of redoing college thrice to get a degree. While some of this is true, some of it didn’t add up.
For example, his idioms. Sometimes he would say “Puchica” , “Chero”, “Chivo” - and when I looked them all up, the common denominator was El Salvador. He said his parents came from Honduras, so how can this be true?
“[Y/N].”
Then him, being the pizza delivery driver. You don’t often order pizza, but you’ve never thought that pizza could smell so shitty. You could remember him rushing to one of your afternoon classes, and instead of smelling like oil and grease, he smelt like weed. What the fuck???
“Hello? [Y/N]?”
Plus, the fact that he is redoing the course a third time. And yet, every single exam he is perfectly scoring an average mark. He also ends before everyone else, as if he has all the time in the world.
That’s not normal.
Though you’ve never confronted Marka about this, you preferred to remain silent. Times are harsh, and you weren’t willing to stretch out a hand when you could barely help yourself.
But there is NO way that you’re befriending someone as suspicious as him.
“[Y/N]!!!” Heidi whisper-shouted, breaking you out of your thoughts.
“[Y/N], please answer-“ Mr. Dimmy paused, clearing his throat. “Actually. On second thought, please see me after class. Thank you.”
You bit my lip, letting it bleed. Fuck. You spaced out again.
“Sir I-“
“No buts, no coconuts.”
While cursing yourself internally, you decided to take out your vent book out of your bag, only to be stopped by Mr. Dimmy once more.
“[Y/N]. Can you please answer the question on the board for me, please?”
Shit, you just opened your bag.
“Give me a moment-“
“[Y/N].”
Clenching your fists, you gave a plastic smile. It was understandable where he was coming from, since he didn’t want his star pupil to daydream for the second time.
“My bad, Sir. Hopefully I’ll get this right.”
As you were busy solving the equation, Marka decided to do you a favor and close up your bag. So by the time you came back, Marka grinned, hoping for a thanks to come out of it. But you decided to ignore the kind gesture, continuing to pay attention to the board. You had enough attention for one day.
If there was one thing you loved, it was clocks. It was nice to know how the time passed, whether it was rapid or abnormally slow. And of course, it was slow.
“[Y/N], this has happened on multiple occasions.” Mr. Dimmy rubbed his temples, exhausted from having the same conversation with you. “We, as staff, made it clear that you can take days off.”
“I’m very sorry Sir, but I can’t do that-“
“[Y/N], enough with the excuses. You are not enough getting enough sleep, and it’s affecting your concentration.”
Scores, talents, personas: nothing on this conversation applied to that. Kindness was a pain in the ass.
“And so, I’m going to ask the dean to personally give you a suspension. A whole week suspension.”
You had to hold your tongue. Why do you have to do triple the work???
“Sir. I’m behind on what I need to cover. I’m begging you, please just let it slide.”
“But [Y/N], you are three weeks ahead. Taking a week off is enough right now. Trust me.”
You glanced at the clock. It was 9:47, the minute hand approximately reaching the next minute.
“If I see you Tuesday afternoon, I will personally escort you outside. That is all.”
Rubbing your eyes, you ran to the top of the stairs, before making yourself out. You couldn’t believe what just happened.
“[Y]-[Y/N]…” It was Heidi.
“Heidi. I’m done for the day, so I’m going home. Text me later if you’re curious.” Your demands were quick and stern.
Poor Heidi snuggled her books, her expression shaping into pity and guilt. If only you could just take a break.
“Giggles, after giggles. These fucking cuches don’t know when to quit it, don’t they?”
“Markaaaa…” She snorted, sounding exactly just like he called her: a pig. “Teach me a little Spanish, no?~ ❤️”
Marka shook his head, his face clearly showing discomfort.
“Come on, we wanna hear it! Maybe we can fuck it up, you know?”
Damn that Rico bastard. He never knew how to read a room.
“I said no.” Marka ran his fingers through his bangs, revealing the swirling darkness within his eyes. “Now learn to be good little shits, I’m in a bad mood.”
Immediately, the entire group stood completely still. Before seconds later, horrifying shrieks escaped people’s lips. Some froze in horror, sweating profusely. Others just ran away from Marka, while some fought with him. Luckily, thanks to his physique he could handle his attackers pretty clearly.
“Ha…shame…” He continued to hit Rico with every punch, starting to see blood oozing out of him. Marka couldn’t help but grin in sadistic glee. “This hypnosis is always pure luck for me.”
Grabbing the leg of one of his classmates. Marka twisted, fractured, and even jumped on her leg, which was perfectly in sync with his words.
“Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. FUCK.” Marka cursed out loud, growling in frustration. Every time he thought about you, the feeling wouldn’t go away. “I just wanted to do a good deed. Why. Won’t. They. Love. Me.”
Hearing the classmate’s sharp cry, Marka kicked the person away from him, heading to your locker. It was encased in a shitload of locks, all of them personally made by yourself. You knew how to be efficient and useful.
Too bad Marka knew lockpicking a bit too well. “It’s been a while since my last rejection…so let’s see what’s here now-“
With a clink, he guided his fingers to first few letters he made….only to find them….
Crushed.
“….”
He should’ve been used to this by now. The dust, the grime, the dead spiders. After finally getting a fresh new locker, it was understandable that you cleaned up the space.
But you didn’t. You decided to make your old locker your new dumpster bag instead - including his love letters.'
His scarred thumb clutched the pink envelope, or the crushed up ball that it was. He could remember the time he had to go off on business, missing college for an entire week. He had to stay low due to a shot out, which resulted him gaining a major injury in the shoulder and his left hand. He didn’t mind the injuries due to past experiences, but he was…depressed. Marka couldn’t see anyone, neither be online lest he got found out. It was a decision that both he and José made for his safety.
And so, to satiate his loneliness, he wrote to you. Even though his left hand was twitching in pain, he wrote. Even though his brain was telling him to stop because of the pain; he wrote. He wrote because he knew that you gave him the happiness, the hope that he needed for this world. Yes, you were flawed…but with each other, the two of you could heal one another’s scars. Right?
“….Ha….”
His hands shook in silent rage as dark droplets dropped on to the paper. I’m sure you didn’t know any better, it was simply a misunderstanding. Yes, yes - it was miscommunication.
It was understandable, since he didn’t make it clear. He didn’t flirt with you since it wasn’t your thing. I guess the letters weren’t either.
Maybe he’d have to try something…a bit more drastic.
“I need to know…do they love me…? Do they not? Maybe….”
Clutching the paper in his chest, he started chuckling to himself. No, grinning madly as he stared at the locker in front of him, his face contorted into something twisted and grotesque.
“Maybe it’s time I should pay your house a visit, hmm? ❤️~.”

The hot sun beats down on you, lounging in a sun chair, dark sunglasses obscuring your eyes. An open book rests at your thighs, you look as though you are deeply engrossed, but your eyes are elsewhere, shamelessly ogling the pool boy your friend had recently hired. Tall and slender, with long dark curls and a few tattoos dotted about him, honestly, if you looked up pool boy in the dictionary a photo of this guy would be the last thing you’d find. And yet, the way he moves so confidently as he cleans the pool floor, the way his muscles flex and relax under his vest, it all just looks so right.
Eddie, you were told his name was, with a nod of your friend’s head towards the figure by the pool as she handed you an icy margarita in the kitchen.
“Never seen him before.” You comment, sipping at your drink, relishing the coolness of it.
“Yeah, well, he’s cheaper than what the other guys charge and so far hasn’t urinated in my garden, so he’s a winner.” Your friend had joked as you both stepped out to the sun loungers.
She left you alone to fix more drinks, so you had pulled out your book, not comfortable to make conversation with Eddie, nor do you have any idea what you’d even say, ask him his favourite brand of chlorine? Please. You struggle not to bite your lip and give yourself away as you watch droplets of water running down his soft skin, and then as though he can hear your thoughts, Eddie turns around, a devilish smile on his face,
“Whatcha reading?” You snap out of your trance and shake your head slightly, almost disorientated,
“Um, what, sorry?” You squeak out the words as he sets down his net and strolls over to you,
“The book. You’re so engrossed in it I figured it's either a really good book, or you’re straight up reading porn.”
You cough a little, caught off by his brashness and quickly grab for your glass sipping down melted ice, you hold up the book so the cover can be seen while Eddie tries not to laugh, he reads the cover and nods,
“The Shining? Wouldn’t take you for a horror fan, considering how much I make you jump. I’m not that scary am I?” The only jumping you want to be doing right now is jumping his bones, and it seems like he’s flirting with you. You push that thought aside, he’s not flirting, just wants me to hire him.
“No, you’re not scary.” Sexy, perhaps. “Who doesn’t love a good scare?”
“I don’t love a scare.” Your friend re-emerges from the kitchen, sunglasses on her forehead showing pale skin around her eyes where the sun has not hit, she looks pointedly at Eddie and back to the pool. Eddie nods and gets back to work without another word.
“You don’t have to be so rude, he can take a break for a few minutes.”
“I’m paying him to clean my pool, not host a book club in my garden. You want to pay for his conversation? Be my guest.” Your friend grabs her bag off the floor and rummages until she finds a business card, it's fairly plain just a phone number and the words “Munson Landscaping”. You plush the card from your friend’s manicured fingers and settle back with another drink. Careful to not let your gaze wander back to Eddie.

When you get home, it’s late and yet still you’re greeted by an empty house. You’d married young and for money. And now you are left with the distinct feeling that you might be wasting your best years on someone who deep down you share no meaningful connection with. Your parents of course had been delighted, it was a step up in the world for you and meant they could look forward to a comfortable retirement since you were their only child. You wander into the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water as you stare out of the window to the pool. A woefully immaculate pool. One that definitely does not need a pool boy to attend to it.
Maybe it's the slight buzz that does it, maybe you’re having a quarter life crisis. But you step out into the garden and find the waste bags the gardener would be collecting in the morning. Dumping all of them into the pool would be ridiculous. So you settle for one, the heaviest, mind you. You cast a quick look around and quickly rip the bag open, tossing the contents into your pristine pool. You look over your handiwork as you dispose of the bag.
“Yep. I’m losing it.”
You walk back into the house, shutting the cool night air out and shivering slightly, you’re still only clad in a bathing suit and cover-up. You rummage through your bag and locate the business card you were given earlier this afternoon, you practise speaking a few times, trying to sound casual and not desperate and once your semi-confident you can talk like a person you dial the number, twisting the cord between your fingers as you hear the dialling tone. Your heart sinks into your stomach when an older voice answers,
“Munson Landscaping, Wayne speaking, how can I help you?”
“Oh, uh um hi. Is Eddie available?” You hear a changing of hands and a muttering from the older voice identified as Wayne.
“Eddie speaking.”
“Oh, hi Eddie, this is Miranda’s friend from today.”
“Oh hey, Miranda gave you this number?” You nod, and then remember that’s not how phone conversations work.
“Yes, listen I just got home and I think my gardener’s check might have bounced or something because it looks like he’s dumped a load of garden waste into my pool. I was wondering if you would be free tomorrow to come and sort it out for me?” You hope you sound casual and lighthearted.
Eddie laughs, “So, a quick tip when you’re calling people to do services for you, don’t mention checks bouncing. I’ll be over at 10am tomorrow.”
“Oh, thank you! You’re a lifesaver, I’ll make sure I have cash for you.” You’re kicking yourself right now, why on earth would you mention a check bouncing? You could have said the wind this evening blew it into your pool.
“Relax sweetheart, it's just a pool. See you.” The line clicks and you lean back against the cool kitchen counter, you swear you can feel your skin sizzle from how hot your whole body feels, all this just from a phone call?
You sleep fitfully that night, your dreams nothing short of vulgar, that leave you waking up multiple times wanting. It’s almost a relief when your alarm finally rings, freeing you from the relentless lewd scenarios your brain is able to come up with. You take a cold shower, trying to calm your mind down, trying to rationalise that you’re not going to fuck the pool boy. You’re not that much of a cliche. You just want to ogle him. Oof. You’re not sure that’s much better. One thing is for sure, you can’t start fights with your husband for visiting strip clubs ever again.
You rummage through your swimwear drawer, throwing bits of fabric over your shoulder until you land on a dark red set you'd bought for your honeymoon, hoping to jump start your husband’s libido. You’d stood at the foot of the bed, striking a pose and your husband’s response had been to peer over his newspaper and inform you it was distasteful and to get changed before returning to his crossword. You doubt Eddie’s reaction would be in even the same realm as your husband’s. You slip into the bathing suit, grabbing the black sheer wrap and wedge sandals you had left on the floor from the previous day.
Tumblr media
Eddie is perfectly punctual, knocking on your door as the second hand ticks to 10 and greets you with a disarming smile, the pool vacuum resting over his arm, he looks you up and down before he can help himself and quickly forces his eyes back up to your face, clinging to a veneer of professionalism that is dangerously close to slipping. As you turn around and lead him to the back garden you hear a sharp intake of breath. As expected, an infinitely different reaction than your husband’s. You unlock the back door and gesture to the pool, filthy now from the garden waste being left in overnight.
“Damn, I’d get a new gardener. You clearly pissed them off.” Eddie whistles as he takes in the damage that your “gardener” caused. Eddie gets to work straight away, pulling his sweatshirt off over his head and giving you a glimpse of more of his skin. You head inside the house and return shortly with glasses of lemonade, you gesture to Eddie, indicating which one is his and he gives you a thumbs up in thanks.
You settle yourself into a sun lounger, this time determined to read more than 3 pages of your book in between glances at Eddie. You can’t just sit here staring. Eddie is a quick worker, you look up from your book after 20 minutes and find he’s almost cleared the branches and leaves. Maybe I should have used all the bags… The thought enters your head before you can stop it and you force yourself to look back at the book, certain your knuckles are white from the grip you have on the pages. You refuse to allow yourself to look back up at Eddie, not even when you hear him approaching and taking a seat on the sun lounger opposite you and chugging his lemonade.
“Okay, honesty hour. Did you dump all this into the pool so you’d have a reason to call me?”
You still don’t look up, “Really, why on earth would I do that?”
“I don’t know but either you made this mess or your gardener has an expensive taste.” You look up at him quizzically and immediately your eyes settle on a glittering bracelet that Eddie is dangling in front of you, reflexively you grab for it and give yourself away. There’s no way you could lie about this being the gardener’s based on the way your magpie hands grabbed at the shiny object.
“Wanted to see me again that badly huh?” Eddie smirks as you reattach the bracelet to your wrist, then as quickly as he came over he strolls back to the pool, continuing to work, the smirk never leaving his face as he continues skimming, the gentle laps of water against the side of the pool the only sound that breaks the silence between you two. You decide to ignore it, turning your attention to your book, a resolve that lasts for all of 30 seconds before you’re staring at Eddie again, watching the way his body moves, eyeing that tattoos that peak out from his vest, while you try to work out the shapes your questions are answered when he pulls the vest top over his head and wipes his forehead with it before throwing it to the side. You blindly reach out for your glass but the condensation makes the glass slip out of your hand and shatter on the ground. You curse loudly and Eddie looks up at the sound,
“You okay?”
You nod, “Fine, just clumsy. I’ll grab a pan for this.” You head to the kitchen and are followed by Eddie, insisting he can help. You grab the pan from the cupboard and start slightly when you see Eddie immediately behind you.
“Didn’t mean to scare you.” He all but purrs at you, stepping into your space, but slowly, giving you an opportunity to push him away. You don’t, you step towards him and before you can register what’s happening your lips are locked in a searing kiss, Eddie pushes you against the counter, pinning you between it and him, meaning you can feel his cock as it hardens through his thin shorts, you gasp for air as he pulls away,
“Is this okay?” He asks, cheeks flushed and breathless, you nod, pushing him away just enough so that you can slip down to your knees. Screw it. Fuck the thought of being a cliche, you banish all those thoughts from your mind, this is something that you both want and need from each other.
You pull his shorts down slowly, and can’t help but lick your lips as you take in his length. He's bigger than your husband, not just in length but in girth too. You run your tongue up the underside of his dick, eliciting a deep groan from him, you might be rusty but you haven’t completely forgotten how to give good head. You take his tip slowly, barely sucking but enough to have Eddie gripping the counter behind him for dear life, you work your way up, gradually taking more and more of his length until his tip is nudging the back of your throat, you use your hand to squeeze and stroke along the length that you know you can’t take,
“Jesus christ.” Eddie mumbles as you take his length as deep as you dare, until your eyes are misty with tears and then come back up his length, over and over until his cock is coated in your saliva and he’s barely able to speak,
“Sh-shit you need to stop or I’m going to cum right down your throat.” You grant him reprieve, letting his length go with a sordid pop as the tip leaves your mouth. Eddie leans back on the counter for a second, appearing to catch his breath before a devilish smile spreads across his lips,
“Your turn.” and before you can speak he’s pulling you to standing, and lifting you onto the counter with a surprising amount of ease, he’s definitely stronger than he looks.
“This,” he plays with the top of your bathing suit, before unclasping it and throwing it to the floor,
“Is,” now he yanks down the bottoms, leaving you bare on the counter, “So fucking hot.”
“If you like it so much why did you take it off?” You tease him, trying to cover yourself, unsure of why you’re attempting to preserve any modesty.
“Because as sexy as you look in it, you look much better like this.”
Before you can come up with a smart retort his head is between your legs and he’s alternating between sucking on your clit so harshly it makes your hips buck and tracing letters on it with the softest brush of his tongue, it’s maddening sensation that has you racing towards your peak before being slowly brought back down to earth. You whine in frustration and Eddie comes away, kissing at your thighs and rubbing circles into them as though anything other than an orgasm could calm you now.
“Let’s play a game, if you can guess what I’m spelling I’ll let you cum.” You nod, breathing hard, only focused on winning the game so that he’ll stop tormenting you. Eddie’s head dives back in, the tracing of his tongue now going much slower, allowing your head to clear enough to think. The first letter is E - easy enough. Then the second and third letters are the same and form a slow circle around your clit then a quick upwards flick - d.
“Eddie!” you cry out panting, praying to be right, you hear a quiet chuckle before Eddie is eating you like a man starved, shaking his head and moaning against you, your hands become tangled in his hair and your hips start to twitch entirely of their own accord, it's been what feels like an eternity since you last felt this desired, this kind of bliss. Eddie keeps his actions consistent, wrapping his soft lips around your clit and wrapping his arms around your thighs to hold you close until he has your whole body in spasm from orgasm.
He wraps his arms around your body as you cling to him, coming down from your high with breathy sighs and unconscious twitches. He helps you down from the counter and holds you steady, waiting until your legs are able to take your weight before his hands leave you,
“Think you can keep going?” A hungry smile forms on his lips as he speaks and you nod, desperate for more. You bend over the counter, sticking out your ass at him and Eddie hesitates for just a moment,
“Do you want me to grab a condom?” You shake your head,
“Just fuck me Eddie.” You’re practically pleading but it's not like you’d need to plead, he’s lining himself up and trying to bite back a moan at the mere sensation of your slick dripping onto the head of his cock. He shivers and slowly slides in, the stretch burns slightly and you make a noise somewhere between pleasure and pain and he stills,
“Everything okay?” You nod and he continues to fill you up, it’s almost a relief when you feel his thighs flush with yours, he pauses, allowing you to adjust to his size before he starts slowly pulling back and setting an almost torturously slow pace, like he has all the time in the world to fuck you and he’s going to relish every single second.
“Fuck you feel so fucking good.” Eddie groans against your shoulder and you can only nod dumbly and moan in response, as your body becomes used to his size he begins to pick up the pace, biting at your shoulder as he pounds into you, every thrust forcing a soft cry of pleasure from your lips. You lean back against him, pressing your back against his chest and he wraps an arm around you to toy with your clit, the dual stimulation making it impossible for you to focus on anything but the euphoria of this moment. Eddie sucks the skin of your neck harshly, you know its going to leave a mark but you don’t care, you cry out for more and then Eddie fucks you harder, nearing his peak, and thats when he makes you do something unexpected. Eddie makes you squirt, creating a mess on the kitchen floor.
“That’s so fucking hot.” Eddie grunts as he reaches his own orgasm, burying himself to the hilt inside you so that you can feel every pulse of his cock as he unloads inside you. Eddie pulls out slowly, as if he resents doing so.  You lean forward onto the kitchen counter and try to catch your breath and control the shaking of your thighs, Eddie strokes your back soothingly, whispering words of encouragement to you. You hear cupboards opening near you and then Eddie presents you with a glass of water that you take in shaking hands.
“Fuck.” is the only word you’re able to say. Eddie laughs breathily,
“Right there with you.”
As you recover from your post orgasm haze you suddenly become hyper aware of your nudity and scramble for your cover-up from the floor. Eddie follows suit and grabs his shorts, hiking them up. You throw a kitchen towel over the mess on the floor, cheeks blazing at the sight.
“Well, I’d better get back to the pool.” Eddie bumps your shoulder playfully and then whistles when he gets a look at your neck, “Sorry about that.”
You sneak a peak in the mirror and gasp when you see the darkening love bites left on your skin, those can’t be explained. Then it thrills you a little. How far could you take this?

It was your annual summer field trip, the most anticipated event of the school year. Hundreds of kids piled into buses and hollered as the start of their vacation began. You, on the other hand, had one set goal for this trip: to win Choi Soobin.
Was it wrong to treat the innocent boy like a game? Well, yes, but you had a good argument. Soobin has been your crush since you started school, and you’ve been rational since. How could you not drool when you saw the way his dimples appeared any time he smiled? Soobin was the guilty one for making you crazy.
“Move your bag.” Someone coldly said, waking you from your delusions and quickly shooting your head up. You smiled when you were met with the sarcastic look of your best friend.
“Taehyun!” You cheered happily, taking your overnight bag from the seat beside you and placing it on the floor. He rolled his eyes as he plummeted next to you. “I could tell from the door that you were thinking about Soo-” you slapped his shoulder before he could finish. “Taehyun. We’re in a public setting.” You whispered aggressively in his ear.
“And? You couldn’t be any more secretive about this stupid crush.” He crosses his arms and sighs.
“Y/n you’ve been hooked on this boy for years now and you still have no idea what he’s like. ” He pauses before continuing. “I just feel bad because you’ve wasted time you could’ve been loosing your virginity, on giggling at his Instagram pictures and his friends' birthday posts.”
You frown at his cruel words. “Taehyun, don't act like you don’t know why I’ve never spoken to him.” He can tell that speaking about the sad truth hurt your feelings.
And Taehyun did know why you’ve never spoken to Choi Soobin. Because of one little obstacle: his evil best friend.
Choi Yeonjun, the creator of your problem.
It all started at a Halloween party hosted by Beomgyu. Illegal drinks and your friends' encouragement sent confidence rushing through your veins to walk up to your crush. You also did not want to put your cute princess costume to waste. All of a sudden, you bumped into his rather tall friend. The sudden shake made your stomach churn and your hands slap your mouth. You looked up to see his best friend gasp, as your life turned into slow motion.
The rest was self-explanatory, and Yeonjun would never let it down. He never missed a chance to tease you when you walked by him in the halls, got paired up for assignments, or even seeing each other at a random convenience store at 2 AM. You had no clue if he had told Soobin, but since they were glued to each other’s hip, you could never approach him because of your fear of Yeonjun.
You sadly stared at the window, knowing this was your last chance with Soobin, you began to eavesdrop on the conversation behind you.
“Yeah, Beomgyu’s hosting a party at his massive beach house tonight… I wonder if anyone will show up; if we get caught, we’d all get in serious trouble.” They barely whispered. Their friend agrees and envies the rich kid.
It took you a second to shoot up in surprise, elbowing Taehyun on accident and making him wince. If Beomgyu was hosting an event, that meant…
“Hell yeah, I know we’ll be there!” Yeonjun shouted from behind the conversation you were hearing. His action was enough to make the whole bus erupt in noise again.
-
“Okay, is this dress good?” You stood in front of Taehyun, who was annoyed by your constant question. “Yes, can we please go now?” He asked, and you simply nodded.
“Taehyun, do you promise to finally hook up with Chaewon tonight?” You point your pinky finger at his face as you both walk out of your shared hotel room. “Only if you promise to not look at Soobin.” You swat his gesture away and squint your eyes.
“Plus, Chaewon and I are just friends.” He argues. “Yeah, friends who make out in empty classrooms.” You recall his embarrassing moment. Remembering your friend dying of shame when an innocent janitor walked into the “friends” exploring each other's bodies.
-
It wasn’t a long walk to Beomgyu’s parents' beach house. You could tell from a mile away that the party had already started, as groups of people stood outside in the breezy summer air. You stepped up on the porch happily as Taehyun opened the door to a hot and crowded foyer.
You greeted familiar drunken faces as you pushed your way to the drinks. Taehyun stood behind you as you poured shots for the both of you. Turning around and handing it to him, you shut your eyes as the burning liquid trailed down your throat. You opened your mouth to complain about the taste but stopped when you made eye contact with an approaching Chaewon.
“Hey guys.” She cheerfully announced. You smiled at her and watched Taehyun’s hand slither to her waist. “Mind if I borrow him real quick?” She asked your permission, which had confused you. “You can take him, no refunds though.” You put your hands up defensively and made the two laugh. Chaewon took Taehyun as he smiled and cocked his head to the right, signaling you to look over and see Choi Soobin alone in a corner.
Now was your chance. You scooted past the hot bodies around you quickly, trying your hardest to reach Soobin, but were suddenly stopped. You felt a tap at your shoulder, and you turned around slightly annoyed.
“Hey princess.” Yeonjun grinned. You stared at him in disbelief. His blue hair shaped his face, his perfect pouty lips looked sinful, and he was wearing a stupid shirt under a stupid button-up that you’ve seen Soobin wear. “Oh god- don’t tell me you’re going to-”
Yeonjun tries to finish his lame joke, but you grab his hand quickly and lead him to the closest door.
Pushing him in the dimly lit room, and finally, your frustration towards the boy erupting in a loud voice.
“God Yeonjun, I have been way too patient with your bickering and torment, but I can’t keep it in any longer. So fucking what I threw up on you? I paid for your dry cleaning and helped you pass Calculus, and all I get in return is you constantly embarrassing me. Why haven’t you thought about how I felt just once? So please-” You take a breath from your words and finally look at his face.
The sculpted boy is shocked, and you can slightly see his flustered cheeks turn red. You start to feel even worse, thinking you hurt his feelings. But hell, did he ever think twice before he spoke?
“In the nicest way possible, Yeonjun. Just.” You sigh. “Get out of my way.” You try to reach for the handle behind him, but his hand grabs your wrists.
“This isn’t about me annoying you, Y/n.” You looked up at him as he spoke. “This is about your stupid crush on Soobin, right?”
You felt your stomach fill with anxiety. What could he possibly know about your crush on Soobin, and why was he being so rude? “N-no, I just.” You tried to lie, but Yeonjun’s hand on your wrist dropped.
“What’s so good about Soobin anyway?” He whispers. It was barely coherent, and you felt Yeonjun’s finger move the hair in front of your face, pushing it behind your ear.
“How could I not notice you staring at my best friend when this whole time, I just wanted you to stare at me.” He confessed with a sad chuckle. This time, you had a feeling you were going to throw up.
“You’re too sweet for Soobin. He’d just ruin you. He wouldn’t treat you right.” Yeonjun’s hurtful words to his friend didn’t end. His hand caressed your cheek, angling you to look up at his eyes.
“Tell me to stop.” He asks, and your faces are millimeters away. Stop, you think, but you can’t seem to say it.
“Tell me to kiss you.” You can feel his intoxicated lips hover over yours.
“Kiss me.” You mumble, and it’s enough to make Yeonjun act upon your demand. Your lips crash as you feel his tongue quickly enter your mouth. Yeonjun is quick with his actions, switching you to having your back on the door instead. His hands go lower on your body, and lower, and lower— until you quickly break the kiss.
“Yeonjun, I’ve never done...” You looked at the floor in embarrassment, but his finger quickly lifted your chin to look at his face. “We don’t have to do anything princess.” The pet name had now gained a sweet ring to it.
You giggle and bring your hands to his shoulder with a sigh. “Why hadn’t you told me sooner?” You looked at him sadly. “You already hated me when I started to think you were cute.” Yeonjun takes your hand and leads you to the random bed in the room, sitting you down on his thigh.
“I’m sorry for being a jerk.” Yeonjun states. Your head perfectly fits on his shoulder, laying there with a smile. “I appreciate your apology.” You peck the skin of his neck once, then twice, then a third time.
Yeonjun quietly groans at the feeling, and you start to suckle on the skin. Your hands reach up to his linen button-up and fumble with the collar, trying to gain more access to his chest.
Yeonjun helps you take off his shirt, and your hands glide across his naked body. You straddle his lap and softly push his back against the bed.
“Can I…” You drag your question and point to his crotch. “Feel you here?” You ask innocently, and he nods.
“God, yes. Anything princess, do anything to me.” Yeonjun pleads. So you do. You get off his lap and take your sundress off in one motion, leaving you in your dainty underwear and bra. Yeonjun gets up from the bed and follows your actions, leaving him in only his boxers.
You stare at his hard on, intimidated by the size. Yeonjun could tell you were nervous, and took your hand in his.
“How about you show me how you get off, first?” He looks at you with a smirk and you feel your arousal pool in between your thighs. You quietly nod and position yourself on the bed.
You had your back against the headboard, and Yeonjun sat in front of you, slipping your fingers into your panties and being met with your slick.
You look up at Yeonjun, who already had his hard cock out in his hand. The lack of light illuminates his glistening tip and his hands slowly going up and down. Suddenly, you make eye contact with the boy, and you whine.
“Can I see more?” Yeonjun politely asks. You take off your bra slowly and shimmy out of your panties. Yeonjun moans at the sight, throwing his head back and his movements on his length quickening.
Your fingers were just not working as well as they would; Yeonjuns hands were a lot bigger, and his fingers were a lot longer. “Please do it for me.” You beg.
You scoot closer to Yeonjun who doesn’t miss his chance. Forgetting about his raging cold and moving up to you on his knees to glide his two fingers smoothly into your hole. The feeling itself made you moan loudly, and then you felt his other hands fondle your tits.
“Does that feel good, princess?” He whispers into your ear, nipping the skin below it while he’s there. “Yes- Yeonjun ‘feel so good.” Your words are being choked out of your throat. The sensation between your thighs makes it hard to focus on the boy whose hands are all over you.
You feel yourself getting closer when you notice Yeonjun bucking into the air. You reach out to touch his leaky tip, but earn a hiss from the boy.
“Fuck Y/n, I’d have you like this every day if I could.” His dirty words made you clench around the fingers inside you. You work your hands up his cock as you both moan into each other's space.
“I’m close, baby.” Yeonjun pants into your ear. You take that as a sign to go faster, and the thin band in your stomach snaps, and you shudder under his touch.
“Don’t stop Yeonjun, please.” You mutter while he rides you through your high. Yeonjun curses once, then says your name like a mantra before you can feel hot cum shoot towards your inner thigh.
Yeonjun’s larger body collapses onto your sweaty one, and your hand reaches for the hair close to the nape of his neck, softly combing through it. You could hear the heavy breathing and the music outside from the party.
The feeling of skin on skin made your heart melt, and it started to hit you. You came on Yeonjun’s fingers! The only person you ever wanted to avoid. You feel guilty now, hating on him for the mere fact that he was clingy to his best friend.
“Get out of your head.” Yeonjun murmurs from your neck. You kiss the top of his forehead. “I don’t want you to go back to Soobin.” His mumbling is now more serious.
“I wasn’t planning to.” You felt him peck the skin of your neck. He got up from your body and looked around for your things. “And I want you to tell Taehyun our plan worked.” He threw you your dress, and you caught it in confusion.
“What plan?” you asked. Yeonjun slipped his shirt on but handed you his button-up; it was simple but pretty intimate to walk out of the room with his clothes on.
“How else do you think I managed to creep into your life pretty?” He kissed your cheek and you stood there, taken aback.
You gasp. “Don’t tell me-” Yeonjun interlocked your hands, and you both left the room. Re-entering the party, you watched as Yeonjun waved to his best friend and Soobin smiled at you both.
Taehyun was a traitor, but you were going to give him a big hug the next time you saw him.

Could you do Logan x pregnant wife reader?
Tumblr media
As the sun cast a warm glow over the picturesque Italian countryside, Y/N stood at the window, gazing out at the rolling hills. She couldn't help but smile as she thought about the news she was about to share with her beloved husband, Logan Sargeant, an accomplished F1 driver. Today, she would announce that they were going to be parents.
The couple had been together for years, having met as teenagers when Logan had made the bold decision to move from the United States to Europe to pursue his racing dreams. Y/N, being an Italian living in the UK, had been there for him every step of the way.
Y/N was standing in front of the large bathroom mirror, clutching a pregnancy test in her trembling hands. She took a deep breath, her mind filled with a million thoughts. This tiny plastic stick held the power to change their lives forever. She made her way downstairs founding Logan in the kitchen, engrossed in his morning routine of preparing a healthy breakfast. As she approached him, her heart swelled with love.
"Logan," she said, her voice filled with anticipation. "There's something important I need to tell you."
He turned to her, a curious smile playing on his lips. "What is it, amore mio?" he asked, using the endearing Italian term he often used for her.
Y/N took his hands in hers and looked into his eyes, her own sparkling with happiness. "I'm pregnant, Logan. We're going to have a baby."
Logan's face lit up with a mix of surprise and sheer delight. His eyes filled with tears as he pulled Y/N into a tight embrace. "Y/N, that's incredible! We're going to be parents! I couldn't be happier!"
Feeling a wave of relief wash over her, Y/N held him tightly, her heart overflowing with love and gratitude. In that moment, she knew that they were ready to face any challenge that lay ahead.
Over the next few months, Y/N and Logan shared their joyous news with their closest friends in the F1 world. They decided to start with their dear friend Oscar Piastri, a rising star in the racing community. Y/N had no doubt that he would make the perfect godfather for their child.
One sunny afternoon, Y/N and Logan invited Oscar to join them for a leisurely stroll through a nearby park. As they walked amidst the vibrant flowers and towering trees, Y/N felt a sense of serenity, knowing that she was surrounded by loved ones.
Finally, she found the courage to break the silence. "Oscar," she began, her voice filled with excitement. "Logan and I have some incredible news to share with you."
Oscar looked at them curiously, a playful smile on his face. "Well, spill the beans then! What's going on?"
Y/N took a deep breath, her heart pounding. "We're going to have a baby, Oscar. Logan and I were wondering if you would do us the honor of being our baby's godfather."
Oscar's eyes widened, and a look of pure joy washed over his face. He pulled them both into a warm embrace. "Y/N, Logan, I'm honored! You can count on me. I'll be the best godfather your child could ever ask for!"
As the news of Y/N's pregnancy spread, it reached the ears of other F1 drivers and their partners, and they were thrilled for Y/N and Logan and couldn't wait to celebrate this joyous occasion.
One evening, Y/N and Logan hosted a special gathering at their home, inviting their fellow F1 drivers and their partners. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, chatter, and the shared anticipation of welcoming a new member into their tight-knit community.
Y/N stood alongside Logan, her growing bump serving as a visible testament to their happiness. She glanced around the room, seeing familiar faces and feeling a profound sense of gratitude for the support they had received.
As the guests mingled, Y/N found herself drawn to Alex Albon and his girlfriend, Lily, enjoying their company and camaraderie. She knew they would be thrilled to hear the news.
Making her way towards them, Y/N couldn't help but smile. "Alex, I have something wonderful to share with you and your partner," she said, her voice brimming with excitement.
Alex's eyes widened, a mixture of surprise and curiosity lighting up his face. "What is it, Y/N? You've got that glow about you."
Y/N took a deep breath, her hand resting gently on her belly. "Logan and I are going to be parents. We're expecting a baby."
A moment of silence hung in the air before Alex and Lily erupted into exclamations of joy and congratulations. They enveloped Y/N in a warm hug, expressing their happiness for her and Logan.
"Mate, this is fantastic! You're going to be an amazing dad. Y/N, this is incredible news! We couldn't be happier for you both," Alex exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine warmth. “And I will take the role of the cool uncle. I'll teach your little one all the racing tricks."
Lily's eyes widened, and she let out a joyful squeal. "Oh my goodness! Congratulations, you two! That's incredible news!"
"Liam, we're going to have a baby," Y/N announced, her voice filled with joy when she approached the kiwi that came from Japan to visit and because redbull needed him
Liam's eyes lit up, and he enveloped both of them in a tight hug. "That's amazing, you two! You'll be incredible parents, I just know it."
The joyous announcement rippled through the gathering, spreading smiles, laughter, and an overwhelming sense of unity. The F1 community, with all its competitiveness on the racetrack, reveled in the shared happiness of this new beginning.
As the night wore on, the conversation shifted from racing to parenting, with the WAGs offering Y/N advice, sharing their own experiences, and reassuring her that she would be an amazing mother. Y/N listened attentively, grateful for the camaraderie and the wisdom bestowed upon her.
A few days later, as Logan prepared for a race, he found himself approached by Charles Leclerc. Charles Leclerc, having heard the news through his brother Arthur, made his way to Logan. A broad smile graced his face as he approached the beaming couple.
"Logan, Y/N, I heard the incredible news from Arthur and Carla" Charles said, extending a hand to his friend. "Congratulations! You're going to be amazing parents."
Logan's face lit up as he shook Charles' hand. "Thank you, Charles. Your support means a lot to us."
Charles leaned in closer, his voice filled with sincerity. "You two deserve all the happiness in the world. The news had been spread so be prepared. They're all excited for you."
The news spread, as Charles said, other drivers approached them, one after another, expressing their heartfelt congratulations. Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, and Yuki Tsunoda, among others, gathered around, enveloping Y/N and Logan in a sea of warm wishes.
Max, always the jokester, playfully punched Yn’s arm. "Miss Sarge, you're going to be outnumbered by racers in your own home now. Congrats, you both."
Pierre chimed in with a grin, "We're going to have a future champion on our hands. Best wishes to both of you."
Carlos joined the conversation, wrapping an arm around Y/N. "Logan, Y/N, congratulations! Parenthood is a rollercoaster ride, but it's the most rewarding one. Enjoy every moment."
Lando, his smile infectious, added, "Logan, mate, you're going to be an amazing dad. And hey, if you ever need a babysitter, you know who to call."
Yuki beamed, his enthusiasm contagious. "Congratulations, Logan and Y/N! I can't wait to meet the little one. They'll grow up surrounded by legends!"
As the drivers continued to congratulate Logan and Yn, their joy united them, forming a bond that went beyond the racetrack. In that moment, they were not just fierce competitors but a supportive family ready to embrace the next generation.

Kaya was quick to set you up on a date, and a week later, you’re looking for outfits to put on. As spring takes over, the weather warms up and you have to find something to wear, but none of your clothes are fitting as you reach your sixth month of pregnancy. You walk to Kaya, wearing clothes that no longer fit.
Kaya compares color samples for the nursery, and she’s so focused that she doesn’t notice you walking into the room. She’s spooked when you walk into the room, wearing a crop top that clearly doesn’t fit anymore. She can’t help but laugh, and you end up rolling your eyes, “See, I told you going on a date was a bad idea. I don’t have anything else to wear.”
“What about the cute dress you showed me earlier?” She asks, walking over to the window to look at the colors in the light. “That dress was cute.”
“My boobs were showing too much. They’ve grown a lot, I have to get new bras.” You share, and she turns to look at your breasts. She can see through the shirt that you’ve gone up a cup or two. “I don’t think I can go out tonight. Tell your friend that I won’t make it.”
“No!” She raises her voice at you as you turn to walk out of the room. You try to ignore her as she yells, “Wear the dress! Showing him your boobs will get him to fall in love with you!”
“I’m good!” You yell back as you get back to your room, and you begin to look for another outfit. It’s time for you to buy some maternity clothes, as much as you don’t want to. You’ll hold back on it for a bit, at least until it’s too late for Kaya to set you up on a date. You don’t want to go out with anyone at the moment.
“He’s a really nice guy, don’t make me cancel.” Kaya says, and you’re startled to hear her voice. You didn’t hear her follow. “He’s really looking forward to this. I showed him your picture and he was stunned. You should give him a chance.”
“I would, but I don’t have any clothes.” You respond, trying to make up another sort of excuse so you can get out on having to go on a date. You’re not ready to date, especially since you’re having a baby so soon. A new relationship is the last thing you need. The stress of a new baby is already more than enough. “Plus, I’ve been reading this book to prepare for the baby, which I think is more important than–”
“Yeah, yeah. We both know that you’re not going to be reading that tonight. By eight, you’ll be snoring. And don’t tell me that you don’t because I can hear you.” She answers, and you roll your eyes, looking for your yoga pants and oversized shirt to change into. “I'll cancel then. But it’s going to break his heart.”
“Good. I don’t care about anyone’s heart but the two that beat inside of me.” You answer, and Kaya sighs before she walks out of the bedroom, going back to the empty room to compare the paint samples once again.
-
Kaya’s right, by eight you’re knocked out. She almost bursts out laughing when she hears some light snoring coming from your room, but she tries her best to not make any noise to let you sleep.
She goes to the couch, taking a seat with her laptop so she can look for nursery items that she’ll be needing to buy for her little nephew. At this point, Kaya is probably more excited than you are. When she starts to focus on scrolling, adding to her cart anything that she finds remotely fitting, there’s a knock on the door. She furrows her eyebrows, standing up from the couch as she set her laptop down on the coffee table. She walks to the front door, wondering who it could be at this hour. She isn’t expecting to meet with anyone.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Kaya slightly raises her voice when she sees Satoru. Satoru welcomes himself in, after all, he does pay for the apartment. He then asks Kaya,
“Where is she?” Satoru turns to look at Kaya, not bothering to greet her because she didn’t even bother to greet him.
“She’s on a date…” Kaya is quick to lie, but Satoru can immediately tell that you’re not.
“She’s sleeping, isn’t she?”
“She’s six months pregnant, what do you expect?” Kaya responds, a hint of attitude in her voice. “Plus we’ve been busy.”
“Busy with what?” Satoru asks, walking over to the couch and taking a seat. He notices Kaya’s laptop, and he realizes what you two are busy with when he sees nursery items. “Don’t fucking tell me!”
Satoru stands up and rushes to the nursery, turning on the light. There’s a couple of boxes, and he sees in the corner a can of paint. The nursery isn’t finished, but you two were definitely planning to start it.
“What’s wrong with you? Why are you here?” Kaya asks as she approaches him. “Don’t you think that you and Leiko have done enough? Are you here to invite her out again? To ridicule her?”
“What the hell are you even talking about? Look, right now I’m so fucking mad I could burn this aparment down, don’t even say shit.” Satoru brushes past her and goes back to the living room. “I’m just here to check up on her. Believe it or not I care about her.”
“Really? You care so much about her that you started to date someone that she despises. While she’s three months away from having your baby, keep in mind.” Kaya argues, and Satoru’s eyes almost widen, now realizing that the date of his baby’s birth is coming closer and closer. “She has three months to set up a nursery, and we’re not waiting around for you to make space to come around. Believe me, we know more than anyone just how needy Leiko can be.”
“You didn’t even try to inform me. Trust me, that would be my priority.” Satoru says, and Kaya puts her index finger on her chin, slightly tilting her head as she pretends to think.
“We did… Or wait. I don’t think we did. Did you inform her about the fact that you were already in a relationship or that you wouldn’t even try to be with her even though she’s becoming the mother of your child? I’m sorry, I can’t recall.”
“You know… I’m with Leiko to protect her. It wouldn’t make sense, but I’m doing what’s best for everyone.” Satoru begins, and Kaya’s eyebrows furrow. She doesn’t understand how he’s doing the best for everyone by dating Leiko. He’s probably letting himself believe that to boost his ego.
“I can’t fucking believe you.” Kaya shakes her head. “Just get out. You have nothing to do here anyway. She’s sleeping.”
“I’ll leave when I want to. I pay for this place, Kaya.” Satoru reminds her. And while they bicker, they fail to realize that you’ve woken up. You groggily interrupt them,
“Please argue some other time. I’m so tired.” They both look at you. “Why are you even here Satoru? It’s way past decent hours.”
“It’s only eight.” Satoru responds, making you roll your eyes as you walk to the kitchen to get a glass of water. “Just wanted to check up on you and the baby… You’ve been ignoring my messages.”
“I’ve been ignoring the world. You can’t complain when I haven’t even been messaging my mom.” You answer, which lets Satoru feel a little better about the fact that he’s being ignored. “I’m not in the mood to talk, if that’s what you want to do. It’s best if you just leave.”
“Yeah… Okay.” Satoru says before he stands up and begins to walk to the door. Kaya watches, in disbelief at how easy that was. She wasn't able to accomplish it. “I’ll be back tomorrow!”
“Don’t!” Kaya yells at him, and you call out her name, and she looks at you a bit annoyed. “What?”
“Be nicer to him. He’s still going to be in our lives, whether we like it or not.”
“I wish he would die–” She mutters.
“Kaya…”
“Sorry.”

Jeongin was a free spirit.
He was the thrilling contrast to your more calming presence.
It was an accident how the both of you met.
You found yourself at a party unbeknownst to the host due to your roommate dragging you outside for the first time in months. No one knew you, and you sure as hell didn’t know anyone there either.
But when you took a moment to take a breather, hiding away from the loud music and plethora of couples making out by making your way into the basement; there he was.
Jeongin was kneeling close to the ground, hovering over a polaroid of him and his ex and watching it burn.
As the picture became crisp and the lighter in his hand clincked to a close, all you could do was watch. And when he turned to look at you standing by the stairs—eyes turning into crescent moons as his lips slowly turned upward into a full grin—you nodded towards the picture.
“That’s a fire hazard, you know.”
“And you know this is my house, right?”
His tone had a bit of teasing behind it, enough that it made you let out a breathy laugh in response.
After a few shared words, you found yourself sitting against the wall with the stranger. You shared stories about your crazy roommate and he shared stories about his crazy ex that dumped him for another guy three days before Valentine’s Day. Soon a bottle of soju was passed back and forth as you both watched the second polaroid of the night disintegrate into flames. Then another… And another…
But as much as you remembered that night, there were things you couldn’t quite remember.
Like how many pictures you burned… How many times you accidentally laughed too loud at one of his jokes… How you managed to restrain yourself from making out with him in your drunken state… Or how you guys apparently exchanged socials and promised to see each other again.
You couldn’t remember the small details.
Maybe if you did, you’d know why Jeongin was knocking at your dorm window in the middle of the night about a year later.
You’d wake up, walking over to see Jeongin waving at you with the most mischievous smile. He looked like he had just come back from another party. Sporting a denim jacket, white tee, and a black choker; the sight made you shiver. When he smirked at you, his lip ring—something he had gotten done during one of his many crazy escapades—moved a bit as it pushed against his upper lip. And his blonde highlights seemed to shine from the streetlights against his otherwise-black hair.
He looked like one of those bad boys you’d see in movies.
He looked like he was ready to do something reckless.
He looked like he needed to be kissed.
“What do you want?” You whispered as you slowly opened your window. “It’s like 3am, dude.”
“Come with me,” he nodded his head in the direction behind him. “Put on your shoes, I wanna show you something.”
And that’s how you found yourself walking through a random alleyway on the school grounds with your newly-found best friend at three in the morning. Big t-shirt covered by a puffy jacket, comfy pajama shorts, sneakers and all.
Surely if someone saw you both they’d think you’re crazy. I mean, your friend had already seemed to have lost his mind. He had been acting strange all week, to be honest. Clearly, something was up.
“Remind me what we are doing here exactly?” You asked a little too loudly. “You’re not dragging me out here to like… murder me or anything right?”
He scoffed. “Bold of you to assume I’m smart enough to even think that through.”
The two of you walked a little further until the sound of Jeongin yelling with excitement filled your ears.
“OH FUCK YEAH, IT’S STILL HERE!”
You watched him dip behind a large compact dumpster only to come out rolling an abandoned shopping cart in front of him. He stopped right at your feet smiling his mischievous smile once again.
“Get in.”
“What?!”
“Get in the cart,” he shrugged as if it was the obvious thing to do. “Just do it. I’ll push you around in it.”
“Absolutely the fuck not!” You laughed taking a step back.
“Why not?”
“Because I could get hurt?!”
“No you won’t,” he pouted as he shook his head. “I used to do this kind of stuff all the time. I promise it’s fun.”
“Dude… what?” Your hands reached up to slowly rake your fingers through your hair.
Jeongin was weird. He was always weird. He was the kind of guy who could look at you with the sweetest face and then go and do something so completely out of pocket that you wouldn’t even see it coming. But he was never the type to drag you out in the early hours of the morning just to do something like this. It didn’t feel like him. It felt like he was trying to compensate for something.
“What do you mean you used to do this all the time?”
It was then that Jeongin’s facade began to crumble. He slowly pursed his lips, stared down at the shopping cart, and his eyes changed. They were dark, filled with sorrow; there were full moons where his beautiful crescents used to be.
“My–uh–ex… and I used to do this kind of thing before… we…”
His voice trailed off. And after pulling out your phone to remind yourself of the day’s date, everything seemed to make more sense.
It was February 11th. Three days before Valentine’s day. And three days before the year anniversary of Jeongin getting dumped by the girl who broke his heart.
You looked up at him with genuine concern and he laughed away whatever sympathy it seemed you had towards him.
“Don’t look at me like that,” he pleaded. “It'll only make me feel worse. I’m fine, really.”
You didn’t believe him. But there was also no sense in trying to fight with someone who was clearly already fighting with his own demons. So you did what any other good friend would do.
You got in the cart.
“If I get hurt, I swear I’m going to kill you.”
“Wouldn’t even dream about it princess,” he mumbled, happier than ever at your sudden change of heart.
He pushed you, pulled you, spun you around until you got dizzy. He pushed the cart at full speed then jumped onto the bottom railing of the cart so that you were both riding it, only stopping to jump off right as you both almost hit a wall. You yelled at him for it, but he didn’t seem to mind. Your happy screams made him feel the most content he had ever been in his entire life.
It was like he needed it. He loved it. And as much as you didn’t want to admit it, you loved it even more.
When you eventually decided to tap out, he helped lift you from your little wheeled prison.
You wrapped your arms around Jeongin’s neck and stood inside the cart. He grabbed you right above your knees and helped lift you as you jumped; causing the cart to be slightly kicked away in the process.
A little squeak escaped from you during the process. Jeongin swore he had never heard anything so cute before.
When your feet finally felt ground again, a mutual laugh was shared between you both. It went on for a bit before you realized Jeongin had suddenly gone quiet and was now staring at you. His moons were crescent once again and you could tell by how his lip ring wiggled that he was starting to fidget with it using his tongue. He was getting nervous for some reason. And now, after noticing how pretty his piercing made his lips look, you were starting to get nervous too.
“What’s wrong now?” Your eyes never left his as you asked.
He observed you for a second, taking in your frumpy little demeanor. Your hair was frizzy, your jacket was falling off your left shoulder, the shorts you were wearing were practically covered by your shirt, and your sneakers looked so worn out he could practically see how they were going to fall apart soon. Nothing about you was perfect, but yet you were perfect. And he absolutely adored you.
“Nothing,” he said as he took a step closer to you. “Just thinking.”
You also took a step closer. “About?”
“About how God knew exactly what he was doing when he led me to you.”
“Really?” You both stepped forward this time. “That seems a little far-fetched, you know.”
The two of you were so close now that you could practically feel each other’s breath as you spoke.
“And you know I have control over my own thoughts, right?”
The two of you found each other somehow.
You couldn’t remember who kissed who first… Or when your arms wrapped around Jeongin’s neck… Or when Jeongin’s hand ended up resting on your chin to pull you even deeper into the kiss…
You just knew that in a basement somewhere there was a stack of burned polaroids. And as long as Jeongin kissed you like this, you knew there’d never be a polaroid of you finding that same fate anytime soon.

BakuDeku | A Rainy Day Together ☔️💚💥
Tumblr media
I wrote one of these for DabiHawks last night, and felt inspired to give BakuDeku a little rainy day love as well :) Enjoy! - RRUH
------
Katsuki groans when he sees the weather report for the day: cloudy and overcast, with an 80% chance of rain. He had been looking forward to a day at the park with friends - plans for a game of basketball and a shared bento box on the dewy grass had been swirling around his mind all week. All those plans were quickly going up in smoke as the first thick rain drops pelted down on his kitchen window.
"Shiiiiiit." He sighs, texting his group chat to postpone their plans for a sunnier day. The rain is picking up - battering the tiny apartment and sinking Katsuki into one of his gloomier moods. He slumps over to his couch and buries himself in his favorite weighted blanked. His boyfriend Izuku had gifted it to him earlier in the month - a housewarming gift when he had signed the lease to his very first apartment. He wraps himself up and lets weight of the material sink onto his chest. He's longing for the sun, willing the clouds to part and -
There's a knock on the door. Katsuki looks up in surprise - the rain is pelting the door with a steady rhythm. Whoever is knocking on his door must be absolutely soaked. With an effort, he wrangles the heavy blanket off of him and trips his way to the door. He throws open the bright white storm door to see his favorite person in the world - Izuku. His freckled boyfriend is beaming up at him from the stoop, soaked to the skin and trying his best to shield bags of groceries from the torrential downpour.
"Kacchan!" Izuku glows like the sun, letting Katsuki pull him into the threshold. He drops the grocery bags to the ground with a splash.
"It took you so long to answer - I thought maybe you had forgotten to put on your hearing aids again." Izuku reaches into Katsuki's fluffy hair and runs a finger along his right ear, checking that the hearing device is in its rightful place.
"Nah - I was just zoning out. Really bummed it's raining. I was looking forward to catching up with the guys from 1A over a game of basketball. It's all gone to shit now." He gestures out at the downpour, locking the door behind Izuku.
Izuku looks at him knowingly. "I figured you might be - that's why I brought snacks! Why not invite the gang over for a movie marathon?"
Katsuki laughs, digging into the grocery bag nearest him. "Oh my God - all you bought is junk! Cookies, potato chips, mint chip ice cream...Deku, we're heroes - we can't be eating this shit!"
"It's a Saturday! It's fineeee." Izuku practically sings, moving to unload all the groceries on the kitchen island.
"You're dripping puddles all over the carpet!" Katsuki grumbles, pointing at the pools of water Izuku is splattering across the clean kitchen tiles. Izuku laughs and continues to dance out of his reach. Katsuki gives up trying to chase him and instead fires off a quick text to their friends: "Movie marathon in an hour. My new place." He's immediately met with a thousand thumbs up and smiley emojis from Mina and Kirishima. They've all been begging to see his place for weeks.
"Oh - I'm gonna invite Todoroki, Shinsou and Ururaka too if that's alright!" Izuku calls over his shoulder as he forces two pints of ice cream into the already full freezer. "Oh - and Ida is back in town after that hero conference! I'll text him, too."
"Whatever, nerd." Katsuki rolls his eyes and busies himself with drying off the floor by the door. He's grown fond of all of their classmates and secretly revels in spending time with the group, despite his grumbling.
Once he's satisfactorily dried the kitchen floor, he grabs Izuku from behind and puts him in a friendly headlock. The green haired hero yelps in surprise, then relaxes when he feels Katsuki plant a kiss at the base of his neck.
"Listen, Deku. If we're going to host a party today you need to make yourself look presentable. You're soaked." He releases his boyfriend and helps him to strip off his wet hoodie and t-shirt. Katsuki pauses for a moment to admire the glistening, hard earned muscles that make up Izuku's chest and stomach. "Go hit the showers, babe."
Izuku laughs and doesn't need telling twice. He dashes to Katsuki's immaculately clean bathroom and chooses the fluffiest towel before hopping into the luxurious shower. Izuku loves that Katsuki stocks all the best soaps and shampoos and bubble baths in his bathroom. The explosion hero is an absolute slut for self-care.
Izuku takes his time, letting the hot water run across his stiff muscles as it banishes the chill from his bones. He grabs a sweet smelling shampoo and lathers it into his curly green hair, enjoying the way the liquid bubbles up in his hands. He can hear Katsuki working his magic in the kitchen - shifting through cupboards to find the fancy popcorn. After ten minutes of enjoying the steam, Izuku turns off the faucet and grabs the oversized bath sheet Katsuki keeps folded just for him.
"Hey, Kacchan - do you have an extra change of clothes I can borrow?" But Katsuki's already thought of that - and Izuku shouts out a quick "never mind!" when he notices the clean pile of folded clothes on the bathroom countertop. After a few minutes fighting with Katsuki's hair dryer, Izuku emerges back into the kitchen - fluffy and clean. A pair of Katsuki's grey joggers are slung low over his hips, and he's sporting a black tshirt with the word "Dynamite!" scrawled across it in a graffiti-style font.
"You look good." Katsuki says appreciatively, holding up two large bowls of freshly made popcorn. He's in full homemaker mode, decked out in his favorite apron and cooking up a storm. "Think this will be enough?" He sets up the popcorn popper with a third bowl.
"Do I smell cookies?! Are you making cookies, too?" Izuku ignores Katsuki's question, bouncing towards the oven to get a good look at the batch of chocolate chip cookies rising on a bright blue pan.
Katsuki puts down the popcorn and pulls Izuku into his arms, resting his hands on his boyfriend's slim hips. He leans in and their lips melt together as naturally as breathing air. "Of course I'm making cookies, loser. They're your favorite."
Izuku grins and opens his mouth to say something cheeky when a barrage of knocks hit the door. He scampers away from Katsuki and towards the entry way to let in their waiting crowd of rain-soaked friends. At the last minute, he turns back to look at Katsuki. He has one hand on the door knob, and a huge smile stuck on his face.
"Kacchan - I love you."
Katsuki's heart squeezes in his chest, and he barely has time to register Izuku's words before the door flies open and Kaminari, Kirishima, Mina and Sero come tumbling across the threshold.
Within minutes, the little apartment is filled with friends, laughter, and tiny puddles of rain. Katsuki doesn't even bother to wipe up all of the rainwater this time - instead, he basks in the glow of Izuku, their friends, and the little life they've built out for themselves in the wake of a rainstorm.
