The romanticism around playing an instrument by people into dark academia is very flattering but as a musician, shit is def more gremlin/chaos core

Gremlin shit band kids do that I have seen firsthand:

- fix instruments with makeshift tools, examples include: rusty dirty spoon, shoe laces, rubber bands, duct tape, hair ties, broken stand leg, French horn mouthpiece, ice and a lighter

- graffiti stands

- the only song we all know is and are willing to sing is "I want it that way" by the Backstreet Boys

- left school at 1 and 2 am

- arrived at school at 3 am and left at 4 am

- collect useless broken pbjects

- keep a pair of broken sticks and continue to use them just to see how fucked up they get by the end of the season

- drink straight energy mio

- sleep in locked lockers, tuba cases, and practice rooms to avoid class (the locker kid was skipping a band class that was happening in the room he was sleeping in)

- switch mouthpieces with mismatched horns to see what funky noises we can get example: trombone mouthpiece on a barisax, bassoon bocal on a euphonium

- find random pieces of wooden planks and draw faces on them and make them sworn enemies

- hide a brick for future generations to find

- spray paint your name on the auditorium garage door for future generations to find

- hide photos of your band director in different places for him to find

- using student's lost picture day magnets to hold up papers on the white board

- having pockets full of random mouthpieces and trading them like cards in the middle of rehearsal

I feel like Tumblr would appreciate my creative project for band.

Since we're going on Christmas break next Wednesday the band teacher decided instead of wasting time learning music we're not gonna remember after break, we'd do a fun competition to see which section could decorate the old unusable stands the best. ~🎶Baritone Dating Headcanons🎶~

~ Baritone was aware of his feelings for you for a while before he confessed. When he decided to tell you, he was pretty straightforward with it. He told you that he liked you, and asked you on a date. He didn’t realize how nervous he really was until you accepted.

~ Bassdrum and Falsetto are always interrupting you guys when you’re together. What are supposed to be romantic dates with just the two of you, end up as hangouts between four people. This really pisses Baritone off, so now he takes you on more secret dates. He enjoys going to your place, or secluded spots in the park.

~ He’s really big on self care. He has a skin and hair care routine, and he encourages you to have one too. He believes things like this have a really good impact your mental health. If you ever seem really stressed, he labels the day a “Self Care Day”. He forces you helps you to wash your hair and skin. He has many different products, and lets you pick whatever scent you like. He’ll style your hair, and even paint your nails!

~ Speaking of painting nails, Baritone’s really good at it! It’s one of his favorite things to do with you. He can do lots of different patterns, and he loves to experiment with different color combinations. He doesn’t like his nails being painted as much, but he won’t complain if you wanna paint them. He likes them to be simple though.

~ Baritone loves picking out your outfits. He knows what colors and styles look best on people, so if you don’t know what to wear, he’s the guy to go to for advise. You eventually notice that whenever he picks out an outfit for you, it’s suspiciously similar to what he’s wearing. If you ever try confront him about making your clothes match, he’d deny it(even though he totally did it on purpose).

~ He’s not super protective. Sure, he worries about you and cares about your safety, but he knows that you can handle yourself. However, if somebody makes you cry, he’ll offer to scold the person. He won’t do more than that unless he has to though. He doesn’t think it’s worth wasting time with people like that.

~ Baritone can be pretty affectionate, even if public. He doesn’t really care who’s around, so he kisses you whenever he feels like it. He loves interlocking his fingers with yours. It’s very comforting to him. It makes it feel like you’re close, even if you’re sitting across from him.

~ While he prefers not fighting with someone he loves, you two occasionally have arguments. And Baritone can get pretty upset. If it’s something he doesn’t think is worth fighting about, he’ll try to calm down and stop the argument. But sometimes, he doesn’t want to admit he’s wrong, and he’ll walk away from the fight. After he calms down, he apologizes.

~ Baritone loves it when you do each other’s hair. No matter the length or type of hair you have, he’ll find a really cute style for you. He’ll let you do whatever you want with his hair, too. He likes it when you put it in a braid. He’s also a big fan of scalp massages, giving and receiving. If you give him one, he’ll fall asleep within five minutes.

~ He gets embarrassed about singing around you. When he and the other members of the Trio de Minor sing together, he sings quieter if you’re around. This really bothers Bassdrum and Falsetto. When they realize why he does it, though, they tease him a little. But they also hype him up, encouraging him to serenade you. Baritone claims the idea is ridiculous, but one night, right as you’re about fall asleep next to him, you could’ve sworn you heard him singing a lullaby.
