You stared down at the limp body on the grass, wondering if it worked. The Pretty Cure used a very strong attack on their enemy, Daruizen, in hopes of purifying him. And now, he lay motionless.

You weren’t sure if purifying him was even a possibility. His whole existence is being some sort of germ, so removing disease from his being might just make him disappear completely. You waited impatiently for it to happen, but as the minutes passed, his whole body was still intact.

Then, he started moving. Slowly and laboriously, but he was definitely moving. Finally, he was sat up. His back was turned to you, so you couldn’t quite tell how he was doing.

“Daruizen?” Cure Earth called out to him. The other Pretty Cure gripped their Healing Sticks just in case of an attack. Cure Grace was gripping hers particularly hard, so much so that her hand began to shake.

The boy turned around, and the girls, minus the one in pink, lowered their weapons in relief. It seemed that the purification was a success! Daruizen looked different. His horns and scorpion tail were no longer present, and his skin was now a natural color, instead of its original pale blue. His ears were also rounded, instead of pointy. He looked fully human.

“How?” He asked, looking frightened. He glanced down at his hand, getting a view of his new complexion.

“I don’t know, but it’s great, isn’t it?” Cure Sparkle exclaimed excitedly.

You took notice that Daruizen didn’t share the same enthusiasm as her. You took a step towards her to get her to act a bit calmer, but jumped when you got an interruption.

“Great? How is this great? I can’t go back to the Byogen Kingdom now! I’ll be shunned by the others! I don’t have a home now!” He shouted angrily, despite his obvious exhaustion.

Cure Sparkle’s shoulders tensed, and she frowned guiltily. “Oh, yeah…” She turned to the others. “What should we do guys?”

Cure Earth and Cure Fontaine struggled to come up with ideas. And Cure Grace didn’t seem interested in making a solution. She just stood a distance away, not wanting to even look at Daruizen. You could understand why she wouldn’t want anything to do with him. He was the cause of the illness that ripped a large portion of her childhood away from her.

So, you decided to take matters into your own hands. “He can come with me.” You said. Everyone turned to look at you.

“Are you sure, (name)?” Cure Fontaine asked.

“Yes, I’m sure. He doesn’t have anywhere to go. Plus, my house has an extra bedroom. And I’m sure my parents won’t mind taking him in.” You smiled, glancing over to him.

You walked over to Daruizen. He looked scared and nervous, though he was attempting to hide it with a tough face. You knelt down to his level, and held out your hand. At that moment, you didn’t see a heartless villain, just a sad, scared little boy who needed help. “Wanna come with me?” You asked him.

Daruizen stared down at your palm for a moment, before slowly taking it. His hand was cold, and slightly shaking. “I guess I don’t have a choice.” He said, avoiding eye contact. You gave him a gentle smile, letting him know that everything was okay, before helping him up onto his feet.

“Mom, Dad, this is my friend, Daruizen.” You introduced your parents to the boy next to you, gesturing to him. “He has no family, and nowhere to say. So I was hoping he would stay with us?”

Your parents looked over at Daruizen. He tried to look as normal as possible, but was very obviously nervous and unsure.

“Of course he can. If he needs help, that’s what he’s going to get.” Your mother said, giving him a gentle smile. Your father nodded, agreeing with her statement.

You let out a sigh of relief, and thanked them. You lightly tapped Daruizen, urging him to do the same. “Thank you for your generosity.” He said, bashfully looking away.

~(Three weeks later…)~

To be honest, you were skeptical on how well Daruizen would fit in. His world was just so different from yours. But to your surprise, he was actually doing quite well.

There were some things he had to get used to though. Sleep was one of them. Apparently, being a germ of sorts, he used to not need sleep. So it took him a while to understand. You still occasionally need to force him to bed when he claims he’s not tired. Food was another thing. Again, it wasn’t something he used to need. But once you introduced him to it, he really enjoys it. He especially loves your parents’ cooking. Dinner is probably one of his favorite parts of the day.

The two of you have grown close through the weeks. Though Daruizen can be cold, he began to warm up to you. He struggles with other people, but you figured that since you’re the one who took him in, it made it easier to trust you. The relationship you have gained resembles the one siblings would have. So you basically think of Daruizen as your little brother. And though he won’t admit it, he thinks of you as his sister.

So now that he was used to being on Earth, it was only appropriate to enroll him in school. He was quite reluctant at first. He claimed he didn’t need school. But you managed to convince him.

So now, you stood in front of the gates of Sukoyaka Middle School, with Daruizen by your side. He was wearing his brand new uniform, and had his bag in hand. You watched him observe the other students as they walked to class.

“I wish I could go in with you. Are you sure you’ll be alright?” You asked him. You’re worried about him, since other than with you, he tends to not be very good at socializing.

“Yes. I’ll be fine.” He said, a bit annoyed. He took a glance at you, then looked down at his shoes. “…. Thanks (name).”

“Oh?” You questioned. “What for?”

“For helping me, and giving me a home.” His eyes were still facing downwards. “I fully expected you to just leave me on my own, especially after everything I did. But you didn’t. You showed me so much about Earth, and cared for me. Back in the Byogen Kingdom, relationships with others weren’t really a thing. So friends or family are something I’ve never had. I never thought I’d admit this, but my new life had been… enjoyable.”

You nearly felt your eyes water at his words. “I’m so glad, Daruizen! You’ve been adjusting so well, and I’m so proud of you. I just know that you’re gonna do great in school!”

Daruizen looked up at you, and gave you a very small smile. You smiled back much wider, and pulled him in for a hug. “What the heck is this?” He asked, confused and annoyed.

“It’s called a hug.” You laughed.

Daruizen wriggled out of your grasp. “Well, I’m not a fan. Please don’t do that again.” You just chuckled, and ruffled his hair, another thing you learned he disliked.

“You better get going now. School’s about to start!” You gently grabbed his shoulders, and led him through the gates. Daruizen glanced behind him as he walked. You waved him goodbye. He did a small wave back, before facing forward again.

You watched him until he disappeared into the school. Then, you began your journey home. Daruizen still has so much to learn, but you’re sure he’ll do just fine academically. You couldn’t wait to hear about his day when he got home. But that was quite a while away. So you went home, and awaited your “little brother’s” return.

~ Kawarino doesn’t relate to your fear. He’s very powerful and respected, so rejection isn’t on his mind at all. It takes him a while to realize your fear, since it’s not something he’s familiar with.

~ He notices how nervous you are when it comes to certain things. Things where you could be turned down or shunned. He sees how much you think about it, and the worst possible outcome. It bothers him how you get so upset. He’d rather you just not think about it at all. He doesn’t care what others think, so why should you?

~ Kawarino believes that it’s best for you to face your fear head on, and not to hide from it. With lots of practice, you could end up like him; not caring about rejection. It can be tough, but he’ll help you through it.

“Don’t let your mind tell you the worse possible outcome. Just do it. Being rejected won’t make the world stop spinning.” His tone may make it sound like he’s annoyed, but he’s genuinely trying to make you feel better.

~Bunbee~

~ Bunbee gets it. He’s not very valued in the company, so rejection is something he deals with often. But he still hates it. He wants to be liked. So you having the same fear as him makes him feel a bit better.

~ After finding out about this, he gives you advice, as if he doesn’t have the same problem. The way he goes about it, you’d never guess that you share the same fear.

~ Instead of working on himself, he helps you. If you’re struggling to do something in fear of being rejected, he won’t let you give up. In fact, he’ll go with you, and hype you up before you do whatever you need to do. If your worse fear comes true, he does his best to help you feel better.

“I know, (name). It doesn’t feel great. But it happens. And hey, there’s always next time!”

~Girinma~

~ Like Bunbee, Girinma shares the same problem. But he’s even less valued in the company than him. In fact, he’s in one of the lowest ranks in Nightmare. So he doesn’t even bother asking or suggesting anything unless he absolutely needs to. Because he knows that 99.9%, of the time, he’ll get treated like dirt.

~ He’s absolutely relieved when he finds out you share the same fear as him. He never mentioned it before, because he thought you wouldn’t get it. So now that he knows you do, he happily shares his experiences.

~ Instead in encouraging you to face your fears, he cowers with you. Why would he tell you to be brave, when he can’t even do so himself? If you decide to yourself though, he’ll wish you good luck. Maybe you being brave with help him be better.

“You’re sure you want to? Okay then. Good luck. I’ll be here if it goes wrong.”

~Arsène Lupin III~

~ Lupin already has his experience with female thieves. Him and Fujiko have known each other for forever. So he knows what to expect when it comes to them.

~ You met when you were attempting to steal his wallet. And you thought you’ve succeeded, only to open it and see it mostly empty. The only thing in it was a paper with a doodle of a face, with the words “Nice try!” written on it. Cue Lupin saying “Looking for this?” and showing you all his cash, in his hands.

~ He wouldn’t be upset. Instead, he’d give you tips on how to be better(which was annoying, considering that you were a pretty well known thief). And of course, he’d be flirting too. Before leaving, he’d say “I’ll be waiting for your next attempt.” then disappear.

~ Over the next few months, you’d follow him. You’ve made countless attempts at stealing from him, and each time, you’d fail. It was frustrating, because he was the only person you hadn’t successfully stolen from. Everyone else was a breeze. But you didn’t hate Lupin for it. In fact, you enjoyed talking with him. The two of you would share a nice conversation afterwards, before he would leave again.

~ During those periods of time where you weren’t around, Lupin would find himself thinking about you. He would laugh at all your failed tries, almost feeling bad for you. He even thought about making it easier for you to steal from him, but it was just too fun. And Lupin loves to be entertained. So it wasn’t long before his feelings for you were more than just the typical ones he felt for women in general. He was actually in love.

~ Eventually, you didn’t even care about cash. You just wanted to see him. And of course, Lupin knew this. It wasn’t until you finally successfully stole his wallet that you realized this for yourself. You opened it, and was surprised by the money inside. You checked and double checked to see if it was counterfeit, but it was the real deal. You expected to be more happy, but you were just disappointed that the chase was over.

~ You suddenly heard a voice behind you say “Guess you finally succeeded. Great job.”. You turned around to see Lupin. He wore his typical, mischievous grin. He told you to take the money as a reward for your improvement. But he knew you didn’t want to. So instead, he offered for you to join him and his gang. You accepted, and the two of you were inseparable ever since.

~Goemon Ishikawa XIII~

~ You first saw Goemon in an isolated park. It was late at night, and you were looking for someone to rob. He was meditating, and you thought it would be a good idea to try to steal from him. Little did you know, you were about to attempt to sneak up on the world’s greatest samurai.

~ You hid behind a nearby tree, and thought he wouldn’t notice you. But then, a branch suddenly fell right on your head. You looked down at it once it hit the ground. It looked like it was perfectly cut. You then felt a presence behind you, and saw Goemon. He actually recognized you from the news, and made a jab at you for trying to rob a stranger instead of something bigger. You started laughing, but he didn’t. His face was completely serious, and you could tell he was pissed. So you just apologized, and left.

~ It wasn’t until Lupin and the gang were on a heist that you met again. You didn’t know they were there until they met you at the safe. You and Jigen argued about who gets the money, and Goemon said you could share if you both did work. And that’s just what you did. Even when Lupin and Jigen tried to take it all for themselves, Goemon made them be fair. You were very grateful for that. You had no idea why he was so kind, considering your last encounter with him.

~ You “randomly” kept running into each other. But you were kind of seeking for him; hoping to meet you again. Goemon noticed this, but kept quiet. It wasn’t until you helped them out yet again, and you were celebrating your victory with the gang, that he said something.

~ You were embarrassed. And now that he knew, you decided to stop helping them. And you thought that was that.

~ A while later, you were robbing a museum by yourself, and you were having quite a bit of trouble. A squad of police was heading your way, and with the giant sack of artifacts on your back, you weren’t in a good place to fight. You prepared for the worst, when they all suddenly dropped to the floor. And there, standing with his sword in hand, was Goemon.

~ He asked you why he hasn’t seen you in a while, and you told him. His face was mostly neutral, besides a small bit of red on his cheeks. He told you that he enjoyed your company, and that he’d like if you came by more often. Then he left.

~ It’s safe to say that you did start stopping by again. In fact, you helped the gang with so many heists, that you became a part of their team. And you and Goemon became even closer.

Sango sat across from you, a look of guilt and embarrassment printed on her face. She fiddled with the hem of her frilly skirt as she avoided to look you in the eye.

You found out. You knew that she was a Pretty Cure. You saw her transform and fight with her friends. After the battle, you dragged her back home, and demanded she tell you everything. So she did. And now, she awaited your response, with her friends standing to the side.

You sat in your chair, arms folded. All that she told you was marinating in your brain, and you almost struggled to believe it. But after seeing the girls summon a giant pink elephant, and having it power kick a monster, you realized it was probably all true.

“So,” You began. Sango and her friends jumped, nervous to hear your response. “you’re super heroes?” Sango nodded, still avoiding eye contact. “And you fight those monsters to save the Mermaid Kingdom?”

“It’s the “Gran Ocean” actually.” Laura cut in, clearly offended by your incorrect naming of her home place.

“Right, right.” You half-apologetically replied. You looked the pink haired girl up and down. “So, you’re a mermaid?”

She chuckled, before magically growing a blue tail. “Yes. And a beautiful one at that!” She held up her tail, waving it at you. “Wanna feel?”

“Uh no thanks. I’m good.” You refused her offer, slightly uncomfortable.

“Humph. Suit yourself.” Laura huffed.

Finally, Sango looked up at you. “Are you mad at me?” She asked, mumbling.

You sighed. “No, I’m not mad. Just disappointed. Why didn’t you tell me? Don’t you trust your big sister?”

“Of course I do! It’s just… Pretty Cure’s supposed to be a secret. I wanted to tell you, but I couldn’t. And I didn’t want to put you in danger either.”

You smiled. “I guess that makes sense. But you don’t have to worry about my safety. It’s my job to worry about yours.” Sango smiled too, and rolled your eyes at your classic overprotectiveness. “Which is why, from now on, I’m coming with you on your fights.”

“What?!” All the girls shouted in unison. Sango shot up from her seat, about to argue with your statement. But before she could form the first syllable of your name, an explosion was heard in the distance.

Everyone looked out the window, and sure enough, there was a Yarane-da.

“Twice in one day? That’s new.” Asuka said.

“Let’s go girls!” Manatsu ordered. Everyone nodded, and made their way out of Pretty Holic, and began heading towards the Yarane-da.

You tagged along behind them, hoping to go unnoticed by Sango to avoid argument. But she heard an extra set of footsteps, and stopped in her tracks.

“(name), please go home. You could get hurt!”

“Remember what I said earlier? You don’t have to worry about me.”

“But-“

“Hey!” Asuka interrupted. “Let’s leave the sibling quarrels until after the battle okay? (name)’s already here, so it’s too late to do anything.”

You smiled smugly, as your sister sighed.

It was obvious when you arrived at your destination, because there was lots of destruction. There were also people lying on the ground, completely uninterested in running away from the danger, or doing anything for that matter. You remember being informed earlier about motivation power being stolen, so you assumed that’s what was going on.

Your attention snapped back to the girls when you heard them shout something along the lines of “Tropical Change”. Before long, they were in their Pretty Cure forms. You’re sure that you’d never get used to seeing Sango with that much hair.

“Finally, the Pretty Cure are here! What took you so long?” You heard a high-pitched voice say. You looked up to the direction of where it came from, and saw a strange half-shrimp-half-child thing. Next to her was the Yarane-da, which was in the form of a plate. You and everyone’s reflections were looking back at you on its shiny surface.

“Who’s the kid?” You asked Sango.

Said kid turned towards you. Her expression changed to a nervous one, and she ducked behind the edge of her floating boat thing. “And who are you? You look much too lame and boring to be a Pretty Cure. Not to mention scary…”

You huffed, annoyed by the girl’s bratty voice and behavior. “I, in fact, am not a Pretty Cure. But I’m a strong ally. And you better not do anything to hurt my sister!”

The girl-shrimp snickered mischievously, putting on a brave face. “Oh? Or else what? You gonna hurt me?” She suddenly puffed out her cheeked, and put on some puppy eyes. “I’m just a little kid you know. You wouldn’t hurt a little kid would you?”

“If you hurt my sister, then yes, I definitely would.” You bluntly stated without hesitation.

Her cute, innocent expression shifted into one of fear. “What?”

The Pretty Cures’ eyes went wide in shock, and they all slowly craned their heads in your direction. But you payed them no mind. Your eyes continued being locked on the girl’s.

“Yeah. I won’t let anyone hurt Sango. I’d fight anyone and anything to keep her safe! Even a weird shrimp-child!” You shouted without shame.

Sango was absolutely embarrassed. She was hunched down slightly, and her hands were covering her face, which was beet red.

“You’re mean!” Cried the girl. “Get her, Yarane-da!”

As commanded, the Yarane-da began walking towards you. But you weren’t scared. Well, not that scared. In fact, you had a plan.

You darted at the Yarane-da with full speed. You jumped, and collided with its center. Being a plate and all, it wasn’t super heavy, and knocked down pretty easily. You stood up, completely pinning it down. But you knew that just your weight alone wouldn’t be enough to keep it down. “Girls!” You yelled to the Pretty Cure. “Stand on it!” They followed your order, running over and joining you.

“How about we finish this thing?” Minori, ah, Cure Papaya requested.

“Sounds good! Back up, (name)!” Cure Summer told you, gently shoving you away.

You did as she said, backing up many feet. You watched in amazement as they did their power move a second time that day. This time, you laughed as the big elephant completely destroyed the Yarane-da.

“What? How did you beat it that fast? No fair!” The shrimp girl whined. She then proceeded to flop on her back, and throw her hands and tail up in the air while screaming; throwing a tantrum.

“It’s like I told you; no one messes with my sister! Not on my watch!” You yelled up at her.

The girl got up. Her face was scrunched up in anger. “You’re so mean! Just wait until I tell the others!”

“Go ahead and tell them! I’m not scared! Anyone who messes with Sango will have to go through me!” You said. You picked up a few rocks from the ground, and proceeded to throw them in her direction. You weren’t actually going to hit her, of course. You just hit her floating boat thing. But that was enough to scare her.

“Eek! Okay, okay, I won’t tell! Just don’t hurt me!” She cried over-dramatically. She then floated away to the direction of the ocean. You could hear her crying “She’s scary!” as she did so.

When she was no longer in sight, you turned to the girls. You wore a proud smile, both for you and them. They de-transformed, and ran over to you. Manatsu was immediately cheering. “You were so cool (name)!” You chuckled as she jumped on your back, nearly knocking you down.

“You weren’t actually going to hurt her… were you?” Minori asked, concerned.

“Goodness no! What kind of person do you think I am? I was just trying to scare her.” You responded.

“Well it worked. She ran with her tail between her legs.” Asuka said.

“She didn’t run, she flew. And she doesn’t have legs.” Minori stated.

“You know what I mean…”

You all laughed. But that’s when you noticed Sango was standing off to the side, away from the group. “Sango?” You asked. “What’s wrong?”

“You didn’t have to do that.” She mumbled. She was looking off to the side, avoiding eye contact.

You smiled, and walked over to her. You stopped just about two feet in front of her, and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. “Yes, I did. After a few seconds, you let go. The other girls were standing off to the side awkwardly. You laughed, feeling bad for making them watch you and Sango’s sibling moment. “So!” You clapped your hands together, about to declare your idea. “How about I buy us all some Tropical Melon Bread? To celebrate our victory!”

The others cheered in agreement. You turned back to Sango, giving her a small smile. “Let’s go!” You said, before taking off running.

“Hey, wait! Don’t leave me behind!” Sango shouted, before trailing after you. A grin crept onto her face as she attempted to catch up. You could be overbearing at times, but she knew that this was just you being the best big sister you could be.

~ Girinma wants more than anything to be seen as an equal, or even better, a superior to others. Mostly his coworkers. It makes him insecure that he’s less powerful and successful than them. So any form of praise, or just a simple compliment boosts his ego by many percents.

~ When he learns that you are fascinated by his monster form, he gets almost overbearingly cocky. He lives for all your comments, questions and compliments, never wanting them to end. Being in his monster form makes him feel confident, which is something he almost never feels anymore. So all of your words are feeding into the feeling.

~ He’ll totally let you look as long as you want, and whenever you want. You make him feel so cool, he almost wants to be in this form all the time! But he doesn’t want you to get bored of it, so he takes it in “doses”.

~Kawarino~

~ Kawarino honestly couldn’t care less what others think of him. It’s just not something he thinks is important. Despite this, he still is greatly appreciative of praise. Especially by people he sees as more than dirt under his shoe.

~ Discovering that you were interested in his monster form was not a big deal to him at all. He understands that it’s not something that is considered “normal” to people like you, so he lets you take a good look. Kawarino isn’t fond of touch, so he expects you to keep your hands to yourself. His monster form is for eyes only.

~ He is nearly always in his human form, so it is extremely rare to see him as a monster. He prefers to save it for only important occasions. No matter how much you whine or beg, you’ll never get him to transform whenever you want. If you wish to see him do it, you’ll have to get lucky.

~Bunbee~

~ Bunbee often attempts to put on a cool, calm persona. Though being his clumsy self, it crumbles quite quickly. This is also the case when you’re fawning over his monster form.

~ He’ll act all tough and unfazed by your curiosity and compliments. But the longer it goes on, the more he breaks. He’ll get all flustered, and begin to mumble. It almost seems to make him uncomfortable. But his bashful smile says otherwise.

~ After the first time, he seeks more of this attention. He’ll begin being in his monster form more often. Eventually, he takes on that appearance more than his human one. So of course, you start to get used to it. Bunbee is a bit disappointed by this, but he enjoyed it while it lasted.

~Arachnea~

~ Arachnea is a confident woman, and being in her monster form makes her feel much more so. She feels more powerful and stylish. So she isn’t surprised in the slightest when she realizes your fascination.

~ She’ll let you look as much as you want. I mean, how could she deprive you of her beauty? She’ll also let you touch her spider legs/appendages. She adores all the attention, and doesn’t even try to hide it.

~ Arachnea has the power to create webs, and she totally shows this off. She weaves large, intricate webs, all to get your compliments and praise. She’ll even let you climb on them!

~ Lupin is a sneaky guy. So he can trick you into relaxing without you realizing it! He’ll ask you to help him with something, and tell you to wait on the couch for him. You’ll lay down, and he won’t come back. It’ll take at least thirty minutes to realize you’ve been bamboozled. He always promises he won’t do it again, but we both know he’s a big fat liar…

~ Some people may try to take advantage of the fact that you’re a people pleaser. It’s hard to come to the fact that they’re using you, because you just want to help. But Lupin is smart. He knows people’s true intentions. So he’ll lead you away from them, not telling you exactly why as to not hurt your feelings. He won’t let your kindness be taken advantage of!

“They need help again? Oh, I’m sure they’ll be fine on their own! C’mon babe, I actually have something we can do together!”

~ Lupin is constantly reminding you that you don’t need to help all the time to be liked. He loves you no matter what! He lets you know that it’s okay to relax, and to ask for help for yourself.

~ Friendship was not an experience or skill that Setsuna ever expected to have. She saw it as useless, and a waste of time. Though when she switched to the good side, she finally got a taste of it. And it sure was strange to her.

~ Setsuna knows next to nothing about friendship. Because of this, she relies on you to teach her things. She gets very nervous when she has to decide things on her own, racking her brain in wondering if it’s a “normality in friendship”. This often results in her going to Love and looking for answers.

~ If you’re not a Pretty Cure, it takes a long time to admit her past, and current role to you. Part of the reason is because she wants to keep you safe. But the other is because she’s embarrassed and ashamed of her past as Eas. She’s afraid that you’ll think differently, or even negatively of her. So you only find out when the Pretty Cure have to go to Labyrinth to have their final battle.

~ Whenever her and the Pretty Cure group go to hang out, she often brings you along. This is mostly because you’re her best friend, and she likes being with you. But it’s also the result of her not wanting you to feel left out. She doesn’t want you to miss any good times or potential inside jokes. She’s personally felt like she hasn’t fit in with her other friends, so she doesn’t want you to go through that.

~ Love, Miki and Inori are great friends, and she loves them. However, they often get into some odd or crazy situations. Sometimes, she just wants some peace and quiet. That’s one of the reasons why she considers you her best friend! Out of all the time you’ve hung out with each other, most of them have been very normal!

~ Setsuna tends to bottle up her feelings. It’s a bad habit she needs to break. While she’s been getting better, she still hates showing weakness in front of others. But when it comes to you, it’s a little easier for her. She may sometimes allow herself to cry or get angry in front of you.

~ She really wants to be the best friend she can be. So she supports you any way she can! If you have a hobby, she constantly compliments your work, sometimes even asking if you can teach her. If your hobby happens to be theatre, sports, or anything she can watch, she’ll be there to cheer you on! ~ Kawarino is really only seen in the building of Nightmare. So you either meet by being coworkers, or just getting lucky and meeting him outside. Before dating, seeing him is quite rare. Despite this, each meeting you have with him, he treats you like an old friend. His behavior is always so odd, so you were never quite sure of his intentions. That is, until he asked you out.

“Hello (name). I see we meet again.”

“Oh, hi Kawarino. It’s been a while.”

“Yes it has. Though I hope that fact won’t interfere with your answer to the question I’m about to ask.”

“Oh? What’s that?”

“Would you like to go on an outing with me?”

~ Kawarino treats everyone less powerful than him with no respect. That is, except you. In fact, he’s quite the gentleman most of the time. It’s still obvious that he views himself as someone of higher power, but, unlike how he sees other people, he doesn’t see you as useless trash or dirt under his shoe.

~ If you’re not his coworker, he will be very vague about his job. He does this because he doesn’t want you to leave, or get him in any possible legal trouble. However, if he feels you can be trusted, he reveals the secret. But makes you swear to not tell anyone.

“So… your job is fighting teenage girls?”

“I don’t think you quite understand. I’ll explain it one more time. If you don’t get it by then, I’ll simply give up.”

~ You’ve seen his eyes open more than anyone else has. Usually the only time he actually opens them is when he’s threatening his coworkers. But around you, he does it quite often. I guess you’re the only person he cares to look at.

~ Kawarino is the highest of all the employees at Nightmare, so he’s most likely loaded. He’s not usually big on spending lots of money. He just doesn’t care about it. But for you, he’ll buy anything. You don’t even need to ask.

“You know, Kawarino, you don’t have to buy me all this stuff.”

“I don’t see the issue with it. I don’t spend my money on much, so why not do it for something I care about?”

~ He’s a pretty intimidating and scary looking guy, so it’s not often that other people will hit on you when he’s around. However, there will be one of those jerks who just won’t get the hint. But don’t worry, because if they weren’t already afraid of your boyfriend, they most definitely will after a conversation with him. He absolutely despises anyone who disturbs the two of you.

~ He’s not an affectionate guy. He likes to be professional. However, he does kiss your hand as a greeting. He also allows you to hold onto his arm while walking. No hugs or hand holding though. He doesn’t like a lot of physical contact. It just makes him uncomfortable and irritated.
