Which character/operator's dynamics with the doctor you enjoyed the most??

Kal'tsit and Doctor. No one else comes close to how incredibly funny Kal'tsit's antagonistic relationship with the Doctor is once you get a good idea of who these two actually are.

Once you read through a Walk in the Dust and Vigilo you realize these two have such a strong antagonistic relationship their attitudes actually change when in the presence of each other.

Kal'tsit everywhere is the immortal, wandering doctor. She is in the background of every major event in the history of the continent, unparalleled in her experience and unshakeable in her composure. You could flip the truck she's riding in with a bomb in order to hijack her convoy and she doesn't look surprised. She goes to dinner parties dressed in a tuxedo and then engages a demonic supersoldier in mortal combat and rips a chunk out of their throat before going back inside and telling the guests some wild animals had entered the gardens. You could tell her you wish to commit suicide by murdering the two politicians who killed your lover and when she sees she can't dissuade you she helps you assassinate one of them with poison. She's seen the rise and fall of entire civilizations, there's nothing that isn't just another Tuesday for her.

But then you put her near Doctor and the petty bitchiness hidden for millennia comes right the fuck out. She will criticize their actions. She will criticize their clothes. She will criticize their eating habits. When there's bad news to tell Amiya she makes Doctor tell her instead of doing it herself, and god help them if Doctor's newest shenanigans costs astounding company property damage.

Meanwhile Doctor's normally this unhinged, tactical genius that slightly unnerves everyone but everyone relies on to save the day. They eat originium slugs, they pour boiling water into their mouth to cook noodles with, every god or monster of incredible power is entrusted to Doctor to handle because their unhinged, almost alien ways allow them to foster good relationships with the stranger beings aboard their landship.

But also when they have to do anything that eventually will be reviewed by Kal'tsit, the perfect walking disaster in them comes out. They go to Achuahalla and the plane gets shot down by a rocket, then they bring the domestic terrorist with them back as a new employee. They go to Columbia to ink a business deal with Papa John's, then get thrown into jail for allegations of running an illegal drug ring that Papa John's is the distributor for (Doctor's excuse is that "they learned it from you", the perfect reply to piss off Kal'tsit). They return to the ancient sacrophagus that Kal'tsit originally sealed Doctor in, only for Doctor to have a flashback of a completely different woman doing it instead. They go to Siesta for a beach vacation and then leave it having interfered in the sovereignty of a city-state and also got into concert brawls. They go to Kjerag for a ski vacation and leave it having sparked a civil war that resulted in all power being coalesced into the Saintess, because the scion of the Silverash family really, really likes them and wanted to force them into helping him seize power.

Kal'tsit and Doctor are supposed to be these two impossibly ancient beings that operate beyond the boundaries of humanity. They're alien almost, in both their strange bodies (does anyone remember that Doctor's blood can be used to heal wounds) and their ways.

But when they actually interact they're the most ridiculously human pair: a long-winded nag and a disastrous buffoon, attempting to raise a teenage girl that's had to be mature enough for all three of them.

prelude ; second & first impressions

gojo satoru has the skies and ocean in his eyes—the heavens and the earth. the light and clouds and seas, everything and the void, they all show themselves in the celestite carved and polished to make up his iris. he has that impossible hue the gods mixed themselves with sanctity and their creation. nothing less for their little god. nothing more in fear that he will reach too close. you hear he’s getting real close to it, though—to godhood.

a god amongst men, and he’s only fifteen.

that is your second-hand impression of him.

your first-hand impression: he is a fucking dick, and whatever religious symbolism the color of his eyes hold means jack shit to you. they’re all too complicated and controversial on their own, anyway.

he is a god, he is holy, he is responsible (ha!). that’s what white and blue say he is.

when he walks into class on the first day, well over 45 minutes late and acting like he owns the whole damn school, you know you’ve both been lied to and given a plain, distasteful truth. he is not holy, but he’s the closest thing to a god on earth. if his ego is anything to go by.

it takes all of 5 minutes for a fight to break out between him and the only other special grade in class. you share a look with ieiri, who’s already pulled her phone out.

geto suguru and gojo satoru are both given detention for the rest of the day.

the next day, he barely regards you. you hear him get scolded by geto, something about his manners, and you subtly scoot away in case of emergency. to your surprise, all you hear is a scoff and in place of a brawl, there is banter. the scolding doesn’t do much. he doesn’t deign to apologize to you. you could care less—he doesn’t owe you any attention.

it’s when he calls you weak during a mission that ticks you off.

the next couple of weeks go like that. he ignores you and only acknowledges you to dig at your strength. you think he forgets you exist at any other time; out of sight out of mind. so much for having all encompassing eyes.

to you, he is arrogant, and he is egotistical, and he is god-awful.

being a god amongst men must do that to a person. when you are truly, undeniably above all others, it’s almost reasonable to be all those things: egotistical, arrogant, and god-awful. it’s all he’d known.

his title—young master, the boy-god, the strongest, et cetera, ad nauseam—demands the worship of his subordinates without him having to say a word. worship feeds into ego, and he’s been worshipped since the day he was born.

people have hated him since the day he was born, too. they’ve wanted to knock him right off the stairs of heaven he was born climbing up. bounties and assassination attempts have been tacked on his head ever since the world tipped on it’s axis.

gojo satoru has it all, silver spoon fed to him and served on a shining silver platter. there are people hungry for his head to drop clean onto it with a matching silver blade.

godhood doesn’t mix well with man. people are not meant to be as benevolent, as selfless as their deities are. they aren’t capable of it. that’s why they pray.

it’s all bull. gojo is the closest thing to a god and the farthest thing from a man. he is a teenage boy.

Batman Fatale

While on a mission with the Justice League, Batman (who hasn’t revealed his secret identity) pulls out his Brucie voice, shocking the others.

The Justice League is going for stealth, something Bruce didn’t think they were capable off, but so far he’s been pleasantly surprised. Though, maybe the promise of a good brawl later is what is keeping them quiet.

They’re infiltrating into Luthor’s office, underneath which he is building a robot army to overtake the world in the name of peace. Hacking in to disable them means sounding the alarm and Bruce has already calculated that it will take too long for him not to get swarmed by them, before he can take them out. Hence, the League, who will keep them off his back while he works.

However, they’ve run into a bit of roadblock in the form of the security guard, who is manning the front desk during the night shift.

Everyone has thrown out ideas to take him out, but Bruce wants to attract attention as late as possible and there are likely human operatives further down as well. They’ll notice if the guard were to disappear.

Besides, the guy, Amir, cleared his background check when he was planning this mission. He doesn’t know what he’s guarding and is just trying to make ends meat.

So, he holds up his hand and the whispered deliberation quiets down. As he pulls out his phone, he says: “I’ll handle this. Wait for my orders.”

They all shoot him confused and wary looks as he sets to dialing on his phone, keeping the screen away from them. He can say that it hurts that they don’t fully trust him, but he doesn’t care. He has his own family/team back in Gotham and if being a mysterious prick keeps his kids safe, he’ll gladly play the part.

He knew this roadblock might come up, so he prepared in advance. So, within seconds he is bringing the phone to his ear, while the others continue to look between him and the guard that’s on the other side of the glass doors.

Bruce mentally laughs, they probably expect assassins to swoop down and drag the man into the shadows.

Which is the opposite of what happens, because instead Amir startles then looks down at his now ringing phone. He smiles, then looks around a bit, checking that the coast is clear and completely missing the League, before picking up.

As Amir looks around, Hal hisses: “What the hell are you doing, Spooks? You don’t call the guy you wanna sneak-”

He shuts him up with a hand over his mouth, because Amir has picked up now. “Hey, hi, uhm, how are you doing, John?”

John is the fake name he used on the dating profile with the doctored photos. He feels a little bad about catfishing him, it’s slimy and Amir is actually cute too. Still, can’t be helped, so he puts as much Brucie charm into his voice as he flirty replies: “Hi, Amir, I’m good, just lonely. Would be better if you were with me. I’m practically indecent here for you.”

Immediately all the League’s heads snap his way, but he ignores them in favor of observing Amir. He is blushing, but looks pleased, before he sags a little. “I would love you, you’re so handsome-”

“I’d prefer pretty,” Bruce interrupts. “If you’re letting me down, at least call me pretty so I’ll know what it’ll sound like from you.”

Now Amir’s darker skin gets even more dark as he continues to blush. He stammers: “No, no, no. Not letting you down. Fuck. You’re so pretty, John. Of course I’m not letting you down. I’m just working, pretty boy, just working.”

“Booo,” Bruce whines, knowing how to sound appealing instead of annoying, albeit a little spoiled. “Can’t you just have a little break? Where do you work? I can come over, little blowie in the ally on a smoke break never hurt anybody.”

Amir groans at the offer, leaning back in his chair and looking at the ceiling, feeling a little despair by the look on his face. “I could get fired,” he protests, but it’s weak. Got him.

Bruce knows that he’s going to get fired anyway for letting them pass, but at least like this he’s out of harm’s way. He’s planning on offering him a job anyway. So, he insists again: “Promise I’ll get you off before they notice. It’ll tide me over until they let you go and you can show me what a proper good time is.”

Now Amir is looking around, no one except the League (who are all still staring and he wishes they’d stop) to see. So, he relents: “Alright, I work at the Luthor office. Uptown, you know it?”

“Oh my god, you’re kidding?” Bruce laughs in his most ditzy Brucie voice. “I’m literally at one of the bars down the street.”

“And what are you doing there?” Amir asks, trying to sound flirty, but coming across as a little insecure. It’s cute on him.

Bruce imagines himself twirling the phone cord at this point as he bats his eyes through his voice as he says: “Feeling lonely and thinking about you.”

Amir looks relieved at that, straightening up again as he asks: “Well, I can change one part of that for you. How fast can you get here?”

“Like two minutes,” Bruce answers.

“Meet you in the alley on the left then,” Amir says. “See you soon.”

“See you soon, handsome,” Bruce greets back, before hanging up. The second the line is dead, he reverts back to Batman’s voice and grunts: “Get ready to move.”

“What the fuck was that, Batman!” Hal is unsurprisingly the first to break. He never does know how to keep his mouth shut during stealth missions.

“Are you still Batman? Please tell me you’re still Batman. Because if you’ve been replaced by some alien, shape shifter or pod person, I don’t know what to do with myself. So you have to be Batman, even though Batman is creepy and mean and stand-offish and not flirty and-”

“Flash, quiet,” Bruce cuts of the rambling of the speedster. He’s not in the mood.

“You can at least tell us how you know the guard,” Clark speaks up, going for firm leader. Bruce can respect him for trying to lead these people who are all obviously not used to working as a team nor good at it. But the boy scout act sometimes gets on Bruce’s nerves.

He’s sure his kids and Alfred will have something to say about it, pointing to his trust issues that makes him perceive everything as an interrogation, but they aren’t here right now. Plus, he knows Damian at least will be on his side. He has people in his camp.

… Though that might not be a good thing. Hm, should he talk to Damian about it?

“It seems familiar somehow,” Oliver comments and Bruce hopes Amir moves soon. The last thing he wants is for Ollie to figure out who is under the cowl, the man is insufferable enough as it is.

“Batman?” Clark prompts, apparently he’s been quiet for long enough.

Falling back on one of his contingencies, he says: “Everyone should have skills in the acting and grifting department. Contact is sometimes unavoidable. I study people and I plan ahead. This is planning ahead.”

Right at that moment, Amir finally moves. Bruce feels a little bad about standing him up, but is glad to grapple away from the rest of the League. He hopes there will be a fight soon, because that way no one can ask him more questions.

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet - Voice Actor Headcanons.

So here’s the latest update of this little series on my blog where I assign official voice actors to characters that don’t have them. I also did this with the previous title, Legends: Arceus.

I have to reiterate the same points every time, but it’s just so we’re all aware - 

This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.

Past Gojo x F!Yoriichi Reader? (He’s an absolute menace towards her at first, then he becomes clingy and obnoxiously annoying)

Reader became a First Year at the age of 14 when Gojo and Geto are 16 in their Second Year (They wanted to size up the ‘Newbie’)

Reader refused to train or take any missions and would always turn down Gojo every time he tried to pick a fight with her to see her strength (Because he can’t detect any Cursed Energy from her whatsoever, meaning she must be weak)

However Reader was forced to join Gojo and Geto during the Plasma Vessel Mission by the Higher Ups (As the Higher Ups threatened punishment on Yaga because he allowed her to get away with this *He was going to decline and take the punishment, but she agreed to take the mission because she didn’t want to burden her Foster Father with trouble after all that he’s done for her*)

This was actually the time where Gojo and Geto learn that Reader actually has a LOT of skill and talent (Their expressions are priceless when they see her kick someone’s ass in just a mere blur)

Reader gets along with Riko (As she likes hearing her talk) and even swears to protect Riko with her own life (Making Riko blush) as well as smack Geto and Gojo around when she saw them bully Rika

Reader prevented Riko from being assassinated (As she started combat with Toji, resulting in a rapid and devastating brawl between the two Superhumans, shocking Geto with their inhuman speed)

Reader is actually more efficient in combat and Exorcising Curses than her upperclassmen and even full fledged Sorcerers, even when she was just a mere child (However Yaga wanted Reader to have a childhood as long as he could possibly give her since he knows that despite his Daughter’s gift and talent in fighting, she doesn’t like fighting and dislikes violence, as she would rather prefer to spend time with her foster father Yaga than train)

Yaga was the first person to discover that Reader can’t use Cursed Energy (As in she doesn’t ANY), yet she can see Curses and even Cursed Energy (He finds that bizarre, yet he still takes Reader in as his own) She can see Cursed Spirits because of the Transparent World (And she has it constantly activated)

Yaga doesn’t mind Reader having pacifistic ideals and beliefs, the only problem is the Higher Ups won’t accept it after they find out about her gifts (Plus he knows his daughter will deal with sexism and inequality just because she was born a girl as well as her having no Cursed Energy)

Yaga found F!Yoriichi Reader when she was a child, and seeing she has no family and can see Curses he takes her in as his Daughter (He trains her at first, only to realize she as superhuman physical skills and prowess)

He thought she was deaf/mute because she never spoken a word from all the time he knew her until she was 14 (It was one of the few moments that made him do a double take)

When Gojo saw her smile she asked him to marry him (Yaga constantly smacks him yelling that his daughter is way to young!) but he’s persistent and keeps asking her

-You remember the day your adoptive father, Yaga, found you, all those years ago. The bodies of cursed spirits all around you, you drenched in blood, but none of it was your own.

-He couldn’t even begin to process how a child as young as you could have done this, even more so when he found out that you couldn’t use Cursed Energy, mainly because you had none!! How was this possible?!

-You never knew the answer yourself, you didn’t know how to explain it, despite having no Cursed Energy, you could see Curses and Cursed Energy, and all you knew that it was bad, so you attacked it whenever you saw it.

-Yaga was… almost intimidated by your skills, it was like you were born to be a warrior, your skills were unmatched, and you weren’t even properly trained!!

-He knew that you would be dealing with so much in your life, from being female, to having no Cursed Energy while being able to see and defeat Curses with ease, and your seemingly unnatural fighting skills.

-That’s why he did his best to try to give you a normal childhood, raising you with love and affection, showing you the good in the world, as he knew at one point the higher ups were going to find out about you.

-Yaga didn’t know how to explain your personality either, you were very stoic, with a rather intimidating RBF, but you were so gentle, you were a pacifist, you disliked fighting, despite being so good at it, and you enjoyed the moments away from training more, where you would sit with Yaga, and he would teach you new things, things about the world around you.

-Yaga had thought that you were mute for the longest time, as you had never said a word to him in the eight years you had been with him, until you turned fourteen. He knew how to communicate with you, and seemed to know what you were thinking or saying, but the first time you spoke, asking you what you wanted for dinner, “Can we go for ramen?” he had nearly tripped over his feet, turning to you in shock, hearing your voice for the first time, while you didn’t look bothered in the slightest!!

-When the higher-ups did finally find out about you, and found about how you refused to take missions, they threatened your father, and not wanting him to risk his own position, you agreed to go on an important mission, with the two thorns in your side, Geto and Gojo, your upperclassmen.

-You were the only underclassman, which made them pick on you anyway, but to hear about your unnatural strength paired with having no Cursed Energy, they were curious on how strong you were.

-Gojo was such a gremlin, constantly trying to tease you and pick on you, trying to goad you into a fight, as he wanted to test if you were really as strong as Yaga said, but you would always refuse, taking the pacifist route.

-You didn’t care what they said about you, calling you a coward, which only infuriated Gojo more, as he wanted you to acknowledge him picking on you!!

-When you joined them on the Plasma Vessel Mission, you hadn’t been expecting to meet someone like Rika, she was so warm, and while she was initially scared of you, due to your intimidating aura, she realized that you were a nice person.

-You were quite protective of Rika, protecting her from Geto and Gojo picking on her, and while none of you realized it at first, you were bonding with them, growing closer to them.

-It was when Toji attacked that they all got to see firsthand your skills, as you drew your own blade against Toji. Geto’s mouth fell open as he was protecting Rika, while Gojo was staring, wide-eyed, seeing you going toe-to-toe with Toji, a skilled sorcerer and warrior, and you were handling your own!!

-Toji was impressed, seeing someone so young, especially a girl, was handling him so easily, but when he told you this, your voice was icy, “My gender doesn’t define my strength.”

-After the battle and after thousands in property damage, you were able to walk away with only minor wounds, but you froze, looking quite panicked for once, when Rika leapt into your arms, sobbing loudly as she had been worried about you.

-After you were patched up, you found Rika, Gojo, Geto, and Yaga together, talking about what had happened with Toji, and as soon as you walked in, Gojo approached you and took your hands, clasping them between his own, “Marry me Y/N!”

-Yaga was quick to punch Gojo on the top of his head, making him let you go, “Get away from my daughter!!”

-This did little to deter Gojo, in fact it only seemed to spurn him on to try harder. You couldn’t recall a day when he didn’t ask for your hand in marriage.

-You were a little confused as to why he wanted to marry you, you had no Cursed Energy, while he was regarded as the pinnacle of sorcerers. All you knew that Yaga was probably going to kill him if he didn’t leave you alone and stop asking you!

-Geto remained silent when he saw the smallest of smiles on your lips, as you watched Yaga chasing Gojo while yelling at him, you looked so happy at that moment.

Of course Ezio is going to have wrist and hand and arm pains. He wasn't trained in the art of the assassins -- he isn't used to their weapons. He's brawled with his fists and wielded a rapier (as was common for nobles at the time) but the robes are heavy on shoulders used to thin cottons and the bracers awkward and clumsy on his wrists. The flick of the hidden blade is foreign, and he has no-one to teach him the proper use until he is taken in by Mario. The heavy swords and maces and spears require so much force, and Ezio has always been a quick, lithe sort of fighter, filled with trickery and mischief instead of bludgeoning trauma

He does not know the right exercises to soothe strained muscles. Does not know what cramping to expect, and he is not used to running and leaping and diving in cumbersome robes and a hood that obscures his vision

Of course he is in pain. Of course he aches and cramps and curls up in a ball where nobody can see him as he tries to will away the persistent hurt. His body wasn't trained for this. Wasn't made for this. But he is forced to adapt anyway, and change everything about himself from the inside out. Would you not suffer from that too
