I am currently working at a Goodly William thrift store as a cashier and I have had a time of it.
Anyway, I was checking this customer out and she had two cds: a metal band I can't recall and Hilary Duff. I asked if she had checked the cds, she hadn't, so I checked and said that the Hilary Duff had a skip ring on it, but it wasn't bad and should play okay.
She said 'Oh, that's fine. I collect them for the aesthetics. They're so cool, like some sort of lost technology.' and inflicted psychic damage on me. I just paused for a second and I'm glad I at least had a face mask on to hide the confusion, read her total, and had to tell her we don't have a tap reader.
I need a new job asap...

“Baby I” - Paige Bueckers♡
Tumblr media
summary : jealous Paige Bueckers x reader !
wc ; 897
synopsis : inspired by the song “baby i” by Ariana Grande :) Paige’s jealousy often gets in the way of your relationship, so what happens when you interact with a particularly attractive stranger?
warning : angst , suggestive content , jealousy / possessiveness
my master list ㇀♡
a/n : look at me having a posting streak !! decided to try something new today, so I hope yall enjoy ◡̈
You and Paige had been dating for not too long, but your relationship had certainly developed into one where strong feelings and emotions played a huge factor in your everyday lives.
It was no secret to you that Paige was jealous, envious even; it caused you a fair share of problems throughout your relationship. Whether it was through jealous ridden comments, or snarky remarks, it was slowly starting to take a toll on you.
You and Paige were invited to go bar hopping with the team, as a celebration of the victorious win for Uconn. The free spirited and ambient environment encouraged you to let loose, encouraging you to not only grab a drink from the bar, but to strike up a couple of conversations with individuals around you.
It’s not that Paige didn’t want you to talk to other people, it’s just that when it comes to you; she’s very, how do I word this.. Overbearing? Whether it was constantly having her hands glued to your waist, peppering your face with kisses, or shooting bitter looks and whoever even dares to be just a little too friendly.
On this particular night, a very attractive character to say the least, approached you; beginning to start a simple conversation. Asking things like your name, complimenting your outfit, and overall trying to learn more about you
From across the room, you can see the blonde staring intensely at you, giving you a disapproving look; signaling you to end the conversation. You furrowed your brows and gave her a confused look back, not understanding how the conversation was moving south in any way.
You quickly turned back around, further continuing your conversation with the stranger, when all of a sudden you feel a harsh tug on your wrist. “It was nice meeting you, but we have to go.” And just like that, there you were, being dragged out of the bar by your girlfriend. Who seemed incredibly pissed.
The drive back home was unbearable, no words were exchanged between you two. The blonde never acknowledging you on your journey back home, knuckles white due to her intense grip on the steering wheel. You couldn’t tell if she was upset, disappointed, horny, or a mix of all 3.
As soon as you reached your apartment, your nerves were eating you alive. You had no idea what was waiting for you once you reached your apartment door.
You quickly hurried inside, and situated yourself on your shared couch. Waiting for her to say something. You felt your heart pounding, unable to even form coherent words. When you realized the endless silence, you simply muttered out a “I’m..sorry?.” Paige rolled her eyes at you, scoffing in the process. “YOU’RE sorry? They were practically throwing themselves at you and all you did was stand there and let them.” You were shocked, you knew Paige could take things the wrong way, but you never imagined her of all people would think you would be the type to do that.
“Paige…” you started. “You know I love you more than anything, but you know words can’t even touch what’s in my heart,” you continued. Your eyes now spilling out tears you tried your hardest to keep in.
“Then why don’t you ever tell me?”... “I feel like I’m constantly competing with others for your attention” This statement startled you, as you knew Paige was well aware of your difficulty to express yourself, let alone reassure others. Fuck. Oh how badly you wished the floor underneath you would simply collapse, giving you any sort of escape from the high tensioned conversation.
You felt as if you were to speak, your throat would simply close up. You managed to croak out.. “It’s just when I try to explain it, I be sounding insane. Sometimes it feels like the words don’t ever come out right.” She looks at you, her gaze softening a bit; as a reaction to your sudden vulnerability.
“It’s just I don’t know…the words just never come out right when it comes to you. You make me get all tongue tied and twisted, and I literally cannot explain what I’m feeling.” “Baby-” “No.” - you cut her off. Quickly feeling a rush of adrenaline run through you. “Yes, I should’ve been more clear and work on my communication, but you need to realize that not everyone is trying to sabotage our relationship. It’s exhausting. I can’t keep isolating myself due to your jealous fits of rage.”
Paige looks at you, tears welling in her eyes, threatening to spill out if she even mumbles out a word. She muttered a quiet “im sorry…”, her voice cracking at the last word, her eyes glued to the floor as she anticipated your response.
As if she were a magnet, you run towards her and wrap your arms around her tall frame, gently rubbing circles into your back as sobs slowly escape her lips. This entire thing had been a complete misunderstanding, and her jealousy blinded her judgment. Through her weeps you were able to make out “i love you. All i was trying to say is that youre my everything and-”
She wasnt even able to finish her sentence as she felt your warm lips on hers, entangling her in a deep and loving kiss. “If that doesnt show you that i love you, i dont know what will”
not sure how to feel about this tbh, originally i was gonna give this a sad ending but since the song is a love song, it didn’t feel fitting. Lmk ur thoughts !! Thanks for reading ◡̈

Secret: cbf!soap x f!reader
Johnny was grabbing the items out of his locker and packing up his backpack to meet you after school when his locker was slammed shut.
“Holly.” He gave her a sharp glance and she smiled.
Holly was part of The Mean Girls, the one who had stolen your bunny all those years ago, the one he called a daft cow and had no interest in even if she seemed to be interested in him.
Usually Jonny just ignored her, unless she was bullying you then he was stepping in to tell her to go away as politely as possible.
“Who are you going to prom with?” She wondered and he raised an eyebrow.
“You know who.” He scoffed and opened his locker again.
“Really? I thought you both were on the rocks.”
Johnny paused, his heart sinking and his stomach twisting up in knots. He didn’t think there was anything going on between the two of you but maybe he was wrong.
“What’re you talking about?”
“You two have been acting different around each other for a while now.”
He stared at her with confusion. There was nothing different between the two of you, nothing! You two still hung out all the time, still joked around and laughed…yeah maybe he stopped telling you about some of the serious stuff that goes on in his mind but that didn’t mean anything.
Did it?
“Look, we’re not friends but even I can tell that whatever’s going on between you has you a lot more quiet than usual.” She explained and he clenched his jaw. “Whatever’s going on she’s got you acting different.”
“Nothings going on…” he trailed and before he could stop the words were falling out his mouth. “I’m going into the military and she doesn’t like it.”
“Wait, you’re actually going?”
Johnny froze and swallowed hard.
He hadn’t told anyone, not even his own mother, that he had been accepted into the military. In just a month he’d be going into the military and starting his career.
He was going to tell you. He was just going to sit later rather than sooner. He had to come up with a way to tell you and to prepare himself for when you’d be disappointed.
And now he told Holly, the girl who had it out for you since fucking kindergarten.
“It doesn’t matter.” He slammed his locked and gave her a stern look. “Don’t tell her anything about this.”
“You know I wouldn’t be upset with for going into the military.”
Johnny felt disgust but said nothing as he walked away from her. He didn’t want to be with anyone else, he couldn’t imagine himself with anyone but you.
You were the only one he wanted, you were the only one he could imagine a life with in the future, despite your disapproval.
Maybe that’s why he put off telling you, he so badly wanted your support on his decision because it was the only thing that truly mattered to him. But it was hard to ask for it when he could hardly support you decisions, or lack thereof, for your future.
You didn’t have a plan, he knew you didn’t. For some reason it irritated him to no end because why didn’t you have a plan? Shoudlnt you want to have something to follow?
A bad part of his brain thought that you didn’t have one because you were hoping he’d give up on the military so you could follow him wherever he went. It was irrational but that’s what it looked like to him.
He was so caught up in his thoughts he nearly didn’t hear you call his name.
“Hey, you okay?” You wondered with concern.
You were always so good at reading him and he always had trouble hiding things from you.
Tell her, he demanded in his mind. Tell her now.
“I’m exhausted.” He smiled and let out a long, exaggerated sigh. “We should take a nap when we get to your place.”
You smiled and his chest hurt. He was going to miss that.
He was going to miss you.
“I’m glad you suggested it because I would’ve too.”

hey!! could you do jackie burkhart with reader who doesn’t know she’s hitting on them ? :))
Thank you for requesting! I hope you like it. Feel free to request again any time!
Clueless {Jackie Burkhart x Fem!Reader}
Summary: No matter how many times Jackie flirts with y/n she can't seem to take the hint.
i do not give anyone permission to copy or repost my work on here or any other websites. no translations either. likes and reblogs are greatly appreciated.
Not edited yet! Apologies for any mistakes!
y/n sat on the couch in Eric's basement with Jackie on her right and Donna in the chair to the left of her. All three girls stared at the tv as an episode of Gilligan's Island played.
y/n felt the couch move slightly as Jackie scooted closer to her side. She glanced at Jackie who gave her a smile which she returned before looking back at the tv.
Donna looked over at the two making eye contact with Jackie. She smirked at Jackie making her roll her eyes and look back to the tv screen.
There was a small moment of silence before Jackie spoke up.
"This sweater is really soft, y/n." Jackie said running her hand over y/n's sleeve. "Where'd you get it?"
"Um, I'm not sure." y/n answered. "I think my mom got it for me."
"Oh, darn." Jackie sighed. "Maybe I could I borrow it some time?"
"Yeah, totally." y/n smiled sweetly not noticing the flirty tone in Jackie's voice.
Donna stifled a laugh, shaking her head.
"Actually, I don't think I should. I'm not sure I could pull it off the way you do." Jackie complimented her placing her hand on y/n's knee.
"Don't be silly, Jackie. You could totally pull this off." y/n nudged her.
"Well, of course I can." Jackie said. "But I already know you look better than I would."
"Thanks, Jackie." y/n chuckled, shaking her head.
Jackie frowned a bit as y/n continued watching tv. She looked at Donna for help who sighed reluctantly.
"So y/n," Donna grabbed her attention away from the tv. "What are you doing Friday night?"
"Nothing, why?" y/n questioned.
"You wanna come with Jackie and I to the movies?" Donna offered.
"Yeah, sure. What are we going to see?" y/n asked.
"Grease." Jackie answered.
"Oh great! I've wanting to see it." y/n smiled.
"Actually, I forgot my mom is taking me shopping Friday night, so I can't go." Donna said dropping her shoulders with fake disappointment.
"Oh dang it, we'll guess it'll just be me and you." Jackie said looking at y/n with a smile.
"Hey, maybe we should invite Fez." y/n suggested. "I remember him mentioning wanting to see Grease, too."
"Ughh!" Jackie groaned throwing her head back. She got and while she was trying to put her coat on she was rambling angrily, "How are you so smart, but so clueless at the same time?" She huffed zipping up her jacket and heading towards the door. "I give up!" She declared shutting the door.
"What was that?" y/n looked at Donna shocked.
"You're such an idiot." Donna shook her head.
"What?" y/n furrowed her brows.
"Jackie was flirty with you, Moron!" Donna exclaimed. "And you two almost had a date Friday night."
"What? No, we didn't!" y/n denied. "You're the one who asked me to the movies."
"It was a plan to get you alone with Jackie." Donna said in a 'duh' tone. "I back out, and you and Jackie go see a movie together."
y/n froze when she realized she did almost have a date with Jackie. She sucked her teeth and dropped her shoulders.
"You're so clueless." Donna rolled her eyes. "You've had a crush on Jackie for months and you can't even see when she's flirting with you."
"How was I supposed to know?" y/n defended herself.
"It's was really obvious." Hyde said walking out of his room looking like he just woke up.
"Have you been in there the whole time?" y/n asked confused.
"Yup." Hyde said walking upstairs.
y/n turned back to Donna who only smirked at her.
"I told you you're clueless."

Here it is guys. The bits and pieces of the hook fan fiction I wrote in a note on my phone. Spacing is very weird because of that. Also, I’ve been on tumblr for 7 years and still haven’t learned how to post right so bare with me 😂 The story needs work and hopefully I’ll get to that at some point. Maybe once I learn how to indent on tumblr 😂
He stuck his hand in the bag, grabbing another chip, acting like his attention was on his phone. He couldn’t help but to keep drifting his eyes up across the room.
There she sat, laughing at John Silver filming a bit for BTE. God, she’s gorgeous, he thought to himself. But he could never bring himself to speak to her. And he had plenty of opportunity.
She’s one of the friendliest people there, hell maybe even the friendliest person he’d ever met. She could make a wall talk back to her. It doesn’t help that she’s also super funny. Anytime she walks by him, or anyone for that matter, she always smiles and sometimes says hello. She always says hi to him though. That he knows for sure.
He hadn’t realized he’d been staring at her, until her eyes caught his. His hand froze in the chip bag, not knowing what to do. She made it harder for him when she gave him a small smile and a wave. His cheeks flushed in embarrassment, and he just barely got his hand up in greeting. Managing to give her a smile back, he quickly looked away, wondering how long she’d caught him staring.
“Danhausen thinks you should go over there.” Hook jumped in surprise, looking to his left and finding Danhausen munching on the same chips he had been snacking on.
Furrowing his brows, he titled his head and asked, “how long have you been there?”
Danhausen glanced down at the chips, and back to hook. “Since your third time staring at her. You got two minutes in before she caught you.” Danhausen shoved another chip in his mouth.
Hook quickly snatched the bag away from Danhausen, giving him his infamous glare. He couldn’t stop his cheeks from blushing further. “I was not staring. And don’t touch my chips”
“Danhausen thinks hook’s crushhausen likes him back.” Hook’s head snapped up to his friend in interest.
“Really? You think.” Hook paused for a second. “She’s not my crushhausen. I don’t have a crush on her.”
Danhausen smirked at him. “Sure you don’t. Don’t worry, Danhausen will not tell anyone. Or try to curse her. Maybe she can join hookhausen. The fans seem to love her. She can bring us more of the monies.”
Hook rolled his eyes. “We’re not asking her to join our team.”
“Then maybe she can join Team Taz. Danhausen thinks they could use a femalehausen to dominate the roster.”
Crushing the now empty chip bag in his hand, he looked up to his painted friend. “So maybe I have a crush on her.” He sighed. “Which is why I cannot be on a team with her. I can barely say hi when we pass each other. How I would be around her everyday?”
Danhausen looked at Hook confused. “But you are around her everyday.”
“Not like that. It’s different seeing each other in passing versus actually having to work directly with each other.” He couldn’t help himself but to glance her way again. He was disappointed to find her walking away with the dark order. His heart sped up when he caught her glance over her shoulder at him. He just barely caught the smile on her face as she looked away quickly.
When he heard his friend chuckle, he turned his attention back to Danhausen.
“Oh, you’ve got it bad.” Danhausen laughed.
Hook rolled his eyes, standing up from his seat. “C’mon. We’ve got a segment to get ready for.”
✨shortly later✨
Hood over his head, he bounced on the balls of his feet, punching the air in front of him. He rolled his neck back and forth, trying to get in the zone to head out to the ring. But it was hard for him to focus with his friend going on and on about plans to get hook with his “crushhausen.”
“What if I did curse her?” Danhausen asked, rubbing his hand on his chin.
Hook looked over at his friend, confused at the suggestion. Sighing, he asked, “and why exactly would you curse her?”
“Well, Danhausen wouldn’t fully curse her. Because you would get in the middle and save her. Since I cannot curse you, you would be unaffected and effectively save her. Surely, that’s a good conversation starter.” Danhausen lit up the more he thought about it.
“Aren’t you guys friends?” Hook asked, pulling his earbuds out, fully focusing on his friend.
“Yes.”
Hook stared up at the ceiling for a moment, completely annoyed. “Why would you try to curse her then?”
Danhausen froze for a moment. “Danhausen can figure out an explanation. Maybe I wanted the monies. Or maybe she-“
“Stop.” Hook interrupted. “You’re not cursing her. Or attempting to. And you’re not meddling.”
Danhausen’s face dropped. “But don’t you want to be with her?”
Hook went silent for a moment. Obviously, he thought to himself. But fearing the rejection he was sure he’d get, he figured he’d just settle for admiring her from afar. Before he could reply, a production team member came up to them.
“You guys are on in five. TK needs you at the tunnels.”
Squaring his shoulders, he put his game face on. Finally focusing back on the task at hand, he pushed his crush to the furthest depths of his mind. Unfortunately for him, it didn’t go very far when he and Danhausen ended up passing a certain girl on their way to the tunnels. She was just leaving, having spoken with Tony about her match later on.
Catching his eye, she smiled at him. “Have fun out there guys. The minute the tron showed you guys were up next, the crowd has been going nuts.”
“That’s good for us!” Danhausen exclaimed. “Fans that love us give us more monies.”
She giggled at that, putting a hand over her mouth to try to hold back some of the laughter. “It’s not all about the monies. You gotta have fun too.”
“Fun is good. Monies is better.” Danhausen said.
Her smiled widened at that. “Well, I gotta go talk to Kiera about our match later. I’ll catch you guys later.”
“Bye!” Danhausen said, nudging Hook to get him to speak up.
Hook glared at him before quickly turning back to her. “Later,” he mumbled, turning towards the face tunnel. If he hadn’t turned away so fast, he would’ve caught her blush and smile, before scurrying off.
✨after the show✨
“Everyone is going out after the show.” Hook’s hand froze in his luggage, Danhausen interrupting him from packing his things.
“You’re coming with Danhausen. It will be good team bonding.” Danhausen sat down next to Hook’s bag. Hook watched as his partner proceeded to reach into his bag, stealing from his chip stash. Hook rolled his eyes at that.
“Clearly, we don’t need team bonding if you’re comfortable enough to just reach into my bag. Maybe you should get your own stash.” He zipped up his backpack, then returned to packing up his suitcase.
“Okay, well if you don’t want to go for Danhausen, I know a different reason you’ll want to go.” Danhausen stood up from the bench, walking to the table across the room to grab a water bottle.
Hook’s head snapped up, following Danhausen’s movement. “She’s going?”
“Of course she’s going!” Danhausen explained. “You know better than anyone how outgoing she is.”
“What does that mean?” Hook zipped his suitcase up, putting on on the ground to get closer to his friend.
“Danhausen told you, she likes you.”
“You’re insane.” He rolled his eyes again, turning away from Danhausen to head to the door. Pulling it open, he was stopped in his tracks when he saw who was on the other side of the door.
“Hey,” she smiled at him, glancing down at his suitcase. “Did you wanna stop by the hotel first to drop off your stuff or head straight to the bar?”
Hook stared at her confused, then glanced over his shoulder to his friend. Seeing the look on Danhausen’s face, he knew his partner had something to do with this.
“Danhausen was just telling Hook about going out.” Danhausen walked up behind Hook, putting his hand on his shoulder. “Danhausen invited her to tag along in the car ride. She rode to the arena with Anna, who’s going straight to the hotel with her boyfriendhausen.”
“Do you mind me coming along? If it’s a bother, I can catch a ride with someone else. I know you don’t usually go out with everyone, I was kinda surprised when Danhausen said you were tonight.” Hook could tell she was nervous, as she started fidgeting with the handle of her suitcase.
“Nah, it’s fine.” He ran his hand through his hair before adding in, “Danhausen convinced me we needed team bonding. Didn’t really give me a choice in the matter of going out.” She giggled at that, and his heart skipped a beat at the sound.
“Well, I’m glad he convinced you. Tonight will be fun.” She smiled at him, tilting her head down the hall. “Let’s go!”
✨at the bar✨
How is she doing it? He wondered to himself. How is she having so much fun sober while I’m two drinks in and miserable. God, I need to smoke.
“What are you doing over here by yourself moping?” Danhausen interrupted his thoughts.
Hook sighed, twirling the glass in his hand to hear that satisfying clink of the ice. “I don’t like big groups like this. If the lads were here, it’d be a different story.”
“You know everyone here.”
“Yeah, but not like that. I’m not close with everyone. I keep to myself.”
“You like to party. Danhausen has seen you.”
“Yeah, when I’m with my friends.”
“Danhausen is your friend.”
Hook sighed, chugging the end of his drink. “Yes, you are. That’s about it.”
“She can be too. Put in the effort.”
“What would I even say to her?”
Danhausen turned to look at her, before turning back to his slumping friend. “Well, she just lost her third game of pool. Do you know how to play?”
Hook shrugged his shoulders, giving a slight nod.
“So, go offer her some help. Ask her if she’d like a partner.” Hook glanced her way, catching her pouting at Adam Cole taunting her for her defeat. He couldn’t help but find her pouting completely adorable.
“But-“ Hook started, being interrupted by Danhausen almost immediately.
“No buts. No thinking. Just go over there.” Danhausen pulled him out of his seat and shoved Hook in her direction.
Hook quickly caught his step, before heading over to her while trying to act casual. With all his effort, he couldn’t get his heart to slow down even the slightest bit.
“3-0! Undefeated bay bay!” Adam laughed, putting the pool stick down on the table.
“I told you I suck!” She said, crossing her arms over her chest. “I can’t even play 8 ball on iMessage.” Rolling her eyes, she glanced to her left and was surprised to find Hook approaching.
“Need a hand? I’m pretty good at pool. We could team?” Hook reached back, rubbing his neck anxiously.
She smiled at him, before turning to grin at Adam in victory. “Yeah, why don’t we have a nice game of two v two. You won’t be bragging by the end of that!”
Adam laughed, glancing down at his watch. Before he could say anything, Britt approached him. “Ready to get going? We got an early flight home tomorrow so I can make my appointments.”
“Aw, you’re lucky, Britt’s saving you from having your winning streak ended.”
Adam laughed at that. “Trust me, kid, you’d still lose even with a partner. Rain check for that game.” Adam wrapped his arm around Britt. “Night, guys.”
Hook and her watched as the couple walked away. He felt defeated as he watched his chance with her go out the door, no longer having a need to play pool.
“He was right, ya know.” His eyes snapped in her direction, finding her already looking back at him. “I’m really bad at pool. We would’ve lost.”
“So, maybe it’s good he’s leaving.” Hook leaned past her, grabbing the stick Adam had left on the table.
She tilted her head in confusion. “Are you going to kick my ass in pool now?”
He laughed at that. “No, I’m going to teach you how to play, so we can kick Adam’s ass next time.”

I'll Call You; Jaehyun (part four)
PART 4/4
Summary:You and Jaehyun have had a secretive on and off again relationship for a few years. After a nasty fight and assumed break-up, you anticipate he'll be back at your door within a few weeks. When word gets back to you that he's been seeing Winter from aespa, you're angry, confused, but mostly hurt. Is Jaehyun done with you or is there more to the story?
Recap: Jaehyun shows up at your dorm and wants to explain himself, but will Y/n let him?
Tumblr media
The minute I stepped out of the front door, I was greeted by that handsome face I had grown to love. This whole situation had me so conflicted. I didn’t know if I could trust Jaehyun anymore. If I really sat down and thought about it, he basically strung me along for three years. The real question now; If I decide I don’t want closure and want to try to make this relationship work once and for all, will he be able to commit? All I know is that I can’t go back to the way things were before. It was a disaster and it wasn’t good for either of us.
Jaehyun stood with his hands in the pockets of his black sweatpants. He seemed to be trying to keep a low profile since he was dressed in an all black ensemble. His hoodie was huge, probably to combat the cold weather. The sky was cloudy and it looked like it was going to rain any minute now. He looked at me and gave a shy smile. I could tell something was bothering him because his eyes seemed heavy with worry and his shoulders were slouched. His hair had been slightly tousled, making it seem like he just rolled out of bed.  Which was very out of character for him since Jaehyun was never in a rush for anyone.
“I’m surprised you’re here”, is all I said. I didn’t know what he was going to say and I was anticipating the worst. That he had a fling with someone else and he realized he could do better than me, or maybe that he was just going to apologize and suggest that we both move on. I don’t know which one would be more disappointing to hear…
“I couldn’t stand the thought of you having the wrong idea. It’s my fault for waiting so long to fix this. Listen…” he sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. His eyes darted around his surroundings. It’s a habit of his I had picked up on. He does it whenever he’s trying to collect his thoughts. “I was an asshole to you throughout our whole relationship. And the fight we had? It was my fault. I wanted to stay…but…in my head, if I get attached and something goes wrong. Or if something gets leaked and you get pushback, I’d blame myself. But after I left and I thought about it, I realized just how much I hate having distance between us. I want to be your boyfriend. I treated you like shit and I want to make up for it. I’m sorry about the things I said.” He finished, taking a deep breath. He stared into my eyes as he waited for a response. I could tell he was nervous. When he said he wanted to be my boyfriend my heart skipped a beat, but before I gave in, I needed to have my questions answered.
“Jaehyun, I can’t say yes until I know the full story”, I said, leaning against the door. I looked down before I asked my question that I had been dreading to hear the answer to. “Were you seeing someone else?” Before I could even look up on my own, I felt him use his pointer finger to lift my chin up to look at him.
“No. Who told you that?”, he asked. I sighed, now I felt stupid.
“Yura said there was talk that you and one of your label mates were seen out together. That’s why I was under the impression that you had moved on.”
He shook his head, letting out a light laugh, “No. I’ll admit we did go out to dinner”, I felt my heart sink when he said that. “BUT, it was a dinner with a bunch of people, not just her. Johnny was there, so was Doyoung and Jungwoo. I think she liked me, I’m not entirely sure, but I wasn’t interested and it never went anywhere. I told you, I’ve only been with you. No one else.” The minute he said that last part I knew I heard all I needed to know. I immediately grabbed his face and pulled him down into a kiss. Coincidentally it started to drizzle, we both looked up and laughed. His lips were as soft as I had remembered. His body was pressed against mine and I was still leaning against the door.
Though the air was cold, the heat between us made me forget about the rainy weather. We pulled away from each other momentarily and I stared into his inviting eyes. My forehead pressed against his. “So, are you my boyfriend?” I giggled as he gave me a quick kiss.
“Are you my girlfriend?”, he asked in a teasing tone.
“Of course I am.”, I said as I shyly turned away, opening the door with my right hand as the other was holding his own. “By the way, I think you should talk to Yura, she kind of hates you.”, I reminded him to be patient with my best friend, since she was a bit protective.
“Well she better hear me out and get used to me because I’m not going anywhere.”, he said, closing the door behind him.
{A/N: thank you for all support given to this series. Again if you have a request for a new one, please don't hesitate! Love ya}

Regulus had been like this for the past week since the realization that Rose was about to go away to Hogwarts for the first time. You had expected yourself to be the one that went to pieces and Regulus, as always, would be the strong one. Now it appeared that the roles had been reversed.
“Reg, she’s 11. She is more than ready. Stop worrying so much and come have a seat before you wake her up.”
Regulus stood a bit longer before coming to join you on the couch. His eyes remained locked on Rose’s door as if the child would sneak off in the middle of the night.
“I don’t think she’s ready.”
He commented again. You took a breath before putting your book down. When Rose was born you never expected Regulus to completely go to pieces over having a daughter. In fact, he was a bit disappointed when it was determined that Rose was a girl and not a boy. That thinking, however, went flying out the window the moment that the baby girl was placed in Regulus’ arms for the first time.
You could still see the look of awe and wonder all over Regulus’ face as he stared down at the baby. Regulus sat in silence as he looked her over. From her tiny little nose to her itsy bitsy fingers, everything about Rose was perfect. She was the one good thing that Regulus was able to do with his life up until that point…and he adored her.
“Reggie, baby, it's time that Rose goes to school. I know that you are worried about…”
“Heathen boys like me or worse, Sirius looking at her. She’s still so little and doesn’t need that aggravation in her lift.”
Regulus interrupted, looking clearly livid at the prospect of some boy looking at his daughter. You reached out and pulled Regulus down to lie with his head on your lap. Stroking your fingers through his curls, you gave him a gentle smile.
“I know that you are worried but we have to let Rose grow up at some point. She knows how to handle boys…or anyone that gives her grief really. I don’t know why you are so worried about how you were as a teenager. You were always a perfect gentleman to me.”
Regulus locked his eyes on you with an expression of confusion.
“Excuse me but we were snogging in a broom cupboard in third year. I’m pretty sure that I was feeling you up too.”
You chuckled.
“Oh, you were. Look, I know that you are worried about Rose but she had plenty of people to look after her. Harry won’t let anyone mess with her.”
Regulus was silent a moment and considered writing a letter to Sirius to “encourage him” to “encourage Harry” to keep a closer eye on Rose than what you were thinking.
“He won’t be able to keep an eye on her all of the time. We both know that Rose will be going to Hufflepuff…like you.”
You smirked at Regulus’ comment before going back to twirling his hair around your finger. The two of you had come to the agreement that Rose would not be like Regulus and go to Slytherin instead she would end up in Hufflepuff. Regulus wasn’t disappointed by that in the slightest either. The baby on the way could be the one that went to Slytherin and if that child didn’t…so what?
“Maybe she can find someone in Slytherin to look after her?”
You suggested earning another scowl from your husband. Fighting a chuckle, you knew it was bad to be egging this on but seeing Regulus going to pieces over the prospect of his only daughter growing up was heartwarming…and you wanted to see more of it.
“Ugh, this is what I get for being such a whore for you. Its all coming back to bite me in the ass. Before long Rose is going to bring some horny hyped up on Merlin only knows what good for nothing boy home to us who gives us some cheesy lame line about how much he cares for our daughter while having only one thing on his mind….I haven’t killed anyone before…it may be time to expand my horizons.”
“Regulus Arcturus Black, you are not killing some boy for looking at our daughter.”
Regulus scowled at you.
“I could if I wanted to.”
“But your not. Now come on. We need to go to bed. Long day tomorrow and as it is you won’t be sleeping any.”
The next morning, Regulus was still not in much better of a mood. The realization that today was the day that the two of you would have to say goodbye to your daughter until Christmas was really hitting home. Walking through the train station, Rose held tightly to his hand while trying to stop and pet her Pygmy Puff.
“Daddy, I need to brush Matilda’s fur. It's getting all sloppy.”
Regulus sighed as you nudged your daughter along.
“You can brush her fur on the train, Rose. Daddy is about to go to pieces.”
Rose gave Regulus’ hand a little squeeze as the three of you continued along.
“Don’t worry daddy. I’m not going ot be interested in yucky boys this year. No promises on next year though.”
Rose said with a smirk as Sirius waved from his place near the platform.
“Please don’t tell me that, love.”
Regulus commented as Rose let go of his hand to go talk to Harry. He shook his head as Sirius came over. One look at his younger brother’s face told Sirius exactly what he was worried about.
“She will be fine, Reg. I already told Harry to keep an eye on her.”
Regulus only nodded as Sirius turned to you. The two of you exchanged a small smile while Regulus continued to pout.
“Has he been like this all day?”
Sirius asked softly. You wrapped your hand through Regulus and gave him a small squeeze.
“Since last night actually.”
Sirius smiled back at his younger brother. He was thrilled that Regulus turned out to be such a wonderful father. When Rose was born, Sirius was afraid that Regulus would be as hands off as their own father was. He was beyond proud when Regulus turned out to be the most hands on father possible.
“Reg, I promise it will be okay. Besides, the two of you have another baby about to be born that you can go to pieces over.”
Sirius commented. Originally, Regulus and yourself only planned for one child. Now here you were expecting the son that Regulus had originally wanted.
“There will be two of them…”
Regulus muttered as Rose ran over.
“I have to go. I’ll be home at Christmas. Bye!”
You held a hand up.
“Wait a moment, sugar.”
Rose smiled as your wrapped your arms around her.
“I want you to be a good girl this year. Listen to your professors and have lots of fun.”
You leaned down to whisper in the little girl’s ear.
“Don’t do anything to give your poor father a heart attack.”
Rose gave you a little giggle before going over and wrapping her arms around Regulus’ waist. It took his all of three seconds to kneel down and wrap his arms around her.
“I won’t get married while I’m going, daddy.”
Rose said, with a smirk. Regulus shook his head before kissing Rose’s cheek.
“None of that…most definitely none of that. I want you to have a wonderful year. Write us every day…(Rose gives Regulus one of his annoyed expressions) okay, every other day.”
Regulus stands back up as Rose hugs him one more time before moving to walk away.
“Rose!”
Rose turns back around from her place by Harry. Regulus bites his lip for a moment. There are a lot of things that he wants to say but knows that he doesn’t have the time.
“Rose, your mother and I love you a lot.”
You gave Rose a gentle nod.
“I love you too, dad.”
Rose replied before turning and going to board the train with Harry.
The next afternoon, you sat across from Regulus as he stirred his tea with a moody expression on his face. Neither of you were entirely used to the silence of the house and probably wouldn’t be for some time. While the silence was temporary, you knew it was beyond deafening. Neither Regulus nor yourself seemed to know what either of you did before Rose was born.
“How much longer until the baby is born again?”
Regulus asked softly. You put your spoon down before looking up.
“Three weeks, love. You should enjoy sleeping all night while you can.”
Regulus leaned back in his chair looking thoughtful. Not sleeping through the night didn’t worry Regulus in the slightest. He didn’t sleep much as it was. Since childhood, he was up and down throughout the night.
Maybe that was what helped you with Rose the most. You were able to get the rest that you needed while Regulus was awake. He would take Rose into the living room while he read then return her to her cot beside the bed when he was ready to sleep.
“We had a good teamwork thing going with Rose.”
Regulus commented. You nodded in agreement. Having a newborn with Regulus was as easy as breathing…just as you knew it would be. You always knew that Regulus would be a good father. He would be nothing like Orion…and when Rose was born, Regulus proved you 100% correct.
“We sure did and we’ll do it again.”
Regulus said before reaching out and wrapping his hand around yours. A giant pecking on the window broke the soft romance of the moment. Regulus stood up the moment that he saw an owl with a little letter in its mouth.
“Here we go.”
He said with a smile before going to fetch the letter from the owl. You sat back in your chair as Regulus handed the envelope to you.
“You read it.”
He said before going to look out the window as you opened the letter. You smiled seeing Rose’s neat handwriting. Before beginning to read, you gave Regulus a gentle smile. This little letter is everything that he needed at the moment.
“Dear Mummy and Daddy. School has been good so far. I have a surprise! I didn’t go to Hufflepuff like the two of you thought. I am in Gryffindor! I bet you didn’t see that coming! Tell uncle Sirius for me. Love, Rose.”
You smiled folding up the envelope. Rose was in Gryffindor. You didn’t see that coming but it was a welcomed surprise. It didn’t matter to you which house your daughter ended up in because any of them would do. If she was in Slytherin, she would have continued the Black legacy. If she was in Hufflepuff, she would have continued yours. If she was in Gryffindor, she would really make her uncle proud and if she went to Ravenclaw, then she would have gone to the house that her father should have been in.
The Black Legacy…
Part of you was worried about how the rest of the family would take it but the rational side said that Regulus would shut the lot of them in an instant. Regulus would never let his parents nor anyone else say anything back about his daughter.
Looking up at Regulus, he had a faint smile on his face. He didn’t have to say anything for you to know that the was proud of this outcome.
“Would you look at that?”
He said with a smile before coming back to join you at the table. Taking a sip of his tea, he met your pleased face.
“Things work out perfectly.”

Korra x Female Air Acolyte Series: Part One
Imagine being an air acolyte and a budding romance forming between you and Avatar Korra
Tumblr media
Part Two, Part Three, Part Four and Part Five.
You were an air acolyte that lived on air temple island. You’d originally lived at the Southern Air Temple with your sister who was also an air acolyte. That was how you met Pema. She quickly became close friends with your sister and was always a kind motherly figure to you. Pema left when she married Tenzin but when she heard your sister, your only remaining family member, passed she invited you to live with her at her home. You were only 12 at the time and although you were a fully qualified acolyte neither Tenzin nor Pena made you stick too strictly to your duties. They took you in and gave you a home and a purpose. You were happy and cared for. The Airbender kids were like younger cousins and although you weren’t one of their children you felt safe with Pema and Tenzin.
As you got older you began taking a more active acolyte role and Tenzin began mentoring you. At the age of 17 you’d been in the field a while and were very experienced. Tenzin viewed that as enough experience to travel with his family to meet the avatar and you were so excited.
Oogie began to descend and you peered over the side excited to get your first view at the Avatar’s compound. You recognised Tenzin’s mother immediately and watched amused as her grandchildren interacted with her. Your eyes however went to the girl behind her, the Avatar.
She didn’t look as you expected her to, she looked...normal. You’d been expecting a towering powerful giant but this girl just looked like a friendly normal teenager. She waved slightly and you smiled back at her. Tenzin finally caught sight of her and rushed to greet her. He introduced you and Korra grinned "this is so great! Are you going to be joining us for our lessons? I can’t wait to have someone my age joining me". You frowned and looked at Tenzin. Pema sighed "you'll have to tell her eventually" she sighed. Korra looked crestfallen as Tenzin told her the news, he wasn’t here to train her. Over dinner Korra tried convincing him to change his mind but Tenzin held to his reasons. You tried to help, offering suggestions but nothing would budge Tenzin and Korra stormed away angrily. You watched her walk away and frowned. You understood she was disappointed and wished there was some way you could comfort her. You were sat next to Katara who knocked her cup off the table “ow how clumsy of me!” she cried and you smiled “let me help you”. You reached down to grab her mug and she leant in “Korra always goes to the kennels when she’s upset, they’re outside the main door and to the left”. You stared at her confused and Tenzin’s mother just smiled at you. You excused yourself and followed Katara’s instructions.
You found the kennels but no Korra. However there were some footprints so you followed them into the snowy grounds. You were sure you were lost when you heard a noise. You turned to see a polar bear dog barreling towards you. You gasped and fell backwards as you tried to run. The polar bear dog roared loudly and you closed your eyes before someone intervened. "Naga stop!" someone called and the Avatar appeared. "Bad girl y/n is a friend". The avatar then turned to you "sorry about that, Naga hasn't met you yet and she knows everyone in the compound so she assumed you were trying to hurt her". Korra offered you a hand up and you took it. The girl pulled you effortlessly to your feet surprising you and bringing your faces close together. “Are you okay?” she asked her blue eyes practically dazzling you. “I’m fine...are you?” you asked “I know Tenzin’s revelation couldn’t have been good to hear”. Korra sighed “it’s fine, I mean there are worse things to happen I’m just sick of waiting around for my life to start! I’m kept here like an outcast and whenever I ask about leaving they just tell me I have to wait until I’m a fully training avatar...”. “Hence why you’re so eager to master airbending” you commented and Korra nodded “exactly! Now that’s been pushed back indefinitely so i’m stuck” she said sitting down angrily in the snow. You watched her wondering how you could help her when an idea came to you. “What if I showed you a few things?”. Korra hesitated “what?”. “I know i’m no Airbender but a lot of airbending forms are practised by acolytes too for their health benefits, not to mention we’re around them 24/7, what if I showed you the basics?”. Korra’s face lit up “that’d be amazing! Thanks y/n”. You blushed under her intense gratitude and shrugged “no problem, now let’s get started!”.
You and Korra trained in the snow for a while before Katara found you and told you it was time to leave. Korra was upset but you thought your training had helped a little. She promised to practice the forms you’d shown her every day and you promised to ask Tenzin every day when she could come to Republic City. Your deal was made and you left the Water Tribe with a very strong positive first impression of the Avatar.
When you returned to Republic City you got back on with your normal life. You kept your end of the deal and bugged Tenzin but to no avail. However you were soon going to learn the Avatar waits for no one.
You were on your way to City hall on an errand for Tenzin when you heard blaring police sirens. You turned to see cars all heading down the same street chasing after what seemed to be...a polar bear dog. You squinted at the figure on the bear’s back but couldn’t see them clearly enough. You joined in the crowd rushing to follow the chase and spotted an officer. "What’s going on? Who is that?" you asked. The man recognised you due to your air nomad uniform and shrugged "no idea, some girl from the water tribe. She resisted arrest after attacking some gang members. Apparently the damage was pretty bad, though I don’t get how one girl could do all that. It looked like a few benders at least". Realisation set in and you shook your head "or the avatar".
You knew Korra wouldn’t be able to outrun the entire police so you just hurried to the police station and demanded to see the avatar. You were taken into the most secure room and the door opened. Korra sat there chained to a table. Her eyes lit up when she saw you and you smiled...before you saw who she was talking to. All the way here you’d prayed it wasn’t Beifong but of course it was. "Chief, Avatar Korra" you nodded to them both "I came as soon as I heard". Lin tutted at you "why did you come?". You paused "to help of course. I'm sure whatever happened we can work out an agreement". Lin turned to you "an agreement? The girl’s a menace. She destroyed countless properties and goods with her vigilantly attitude". "But I'm the avatar! I have to help people" Korra cried. "That title might impress others but not me" Lin glared at Korra and you sighed. "Cheif Beifong please try to..." you started when Korra gasped "wait Beifong? ...you're Toph’s daughter!". Lin sighed "I don’t see why that's relevant?". "Well your mother was friends with Avatar Aang! My past life! She helped him". "Still not relevant" Lin shrugged and you rested a hand on Korra’s chair. "What the Avatar means is your mother understood the value of the Avatar and their role. While Korra’s actions were disruptive she did save those people and she was doing what she considered her duty. How is that any different from the harm your officers caused barreling down the street trying to catch her? I saw atleast 3 overturned Sato mobiles, was that a menace or just officers doing their duty?". "Yes exactly!" Korra cried. You wanted to smile but had to remain serious. Lin sighed "I appreciate what you're trying to do but it won’t work kid. Ordinary people have no ranks to take the law into their own hands, that's the polices duty Avatar or not. So I’m sorry but..." when the door opened. "Y/n?" Tenzin asked and Lin groaned "there’s more of you?". Tenzin managed to arrange Korra’s release and she was set free. You walked with her out of the cell and couldn’t help but laugh as she shot Lin an *I'm watching you* sign. Tenzin however wasn’t in as good a mood. He scolded Korra for travelling here and used this as proof she wasn’t ready. You tried speaking up for her but Tenzin snapped at you and Korra gave you a signal to stop.
It was decided Korra would go straight home and Tenzin led you both there in silence. So you waited at the docks for Korra to be sent away. You weren’t happy about it and made this known by refusing to look at Tenzin. You watched as Korra said goodbye to the Airbender kids and Tenzin sighed. "I know you don’t think it's right but this city is far too busy for her, she needs a more stable environment". You shook your head "does she? She's been locked up in that compound for years. How is she going to learn how to help the world if she’s never experienced it? Locking her away isn’t going to help her but being here in a living breathing city...she’s already learnt to be more careful and respectful to the law and that’s in one day! Imagine what else she could learn". Tenzin was silent and when you looked at him you saw he was thinking. Finally he stepped forward. As Korra went to say goodbye he announced she could stay. "But how...why?" Korra asked and Tenzin glanced at you "let's just say I had some good advice". Korra beamed and rushed to hug you "thank you y/n!". You smiled blushing slightly at the attention "I just said some words that’s all!". "Well I'll always be grateful to you" Korra smiled squeezing your hand and you smiled squeezing back.
Tenzin brought Korra to Air Temple Island and you showed her around. You got her all settled in a new room and brought her all the things she’d need. "We can get anything else in the city" you told her "for now just make do and try to rest. Your training will begin very soon". Korra cheered "yes! I'm so excited! I've been waiting years for this and finally it’s happened". You smiled at how endearing she was and nodded. "Well you've earned it! Get some rest, I'm right across the hall if you need anything". You went back to your own room and prepared for bed. You’d just gotten into the blankets when there was a knock and Korra appeared. "Hey y/n I can’t sleep...". You smiled. She must've literally tried for a minute before giving up. "Well would you like to stay here and talk for a bit?" You asked "perhaps you're a bit excited?". "Yeah that sounds good" Korra agreed, wriggling into the blankets so she was beside you. You kept the lights low to try and make her sleepy and just talked. Korra told you all about her life and you told her about yours. You eventually felt sleepier and sleepier until you could hardly keep your eyes open. You went to tell Korra you were too tired to continue when you realised she was sound asleep. You smiled and covered her up more with the blankets before going to sleep yourself.
Now the Avatar was in Republic City something told you things would be very different...
_____
Season one Korra has a special place in my heart. I loved when she was so cocky and hot headed 🥰🥰

With This Ring (11)
Chapter 10 here, Ao3 here
Tumblr media
They met Dart and Ozzy in front of the Buckley house. The elderly cat just announced that everything was in order, and that he was too old for all this excitement. “I’m going to take a nap home before Dustin organizes a search party for me,” he yawned. “Ozzy will stay with you. I’ll come to check on you around lunchtime, so no more scandals and escapades, please.”
Eddie crouched to scratch his head as a thank you. “Sleep well, Dart.” He then picked up Ozzy and safely stashed him in his usual pocket.
Robin’s house was, as always, peaceful. The sight of the imperfect garden made to be used, not just viewed, the peeling window paint, the weird gnome statuettes peeking from random corners, it all made Steve feel more at home than he’d ever been in his own house. The woods by the back window were dark and quiet. If they were careful, they wouldn’t be heard or seen by anyone.
The whole house was dark too. Steve was confused, Robin should have been home, but maybe she had a sleepover with Nancy, you know, to console her friend after the groom had disappeared. He hoped that was the case.
Eddie was eyeing the colorful front door. “Do you want me to break in? If you have a hairpin or something like that, I’m like ninety percent confident I could pick the lock.”
Steve laughed out loud. “While it sounds absolutely charming, we’re trying to look inconspicous. Let’s go for the boring solution instead.” With that, he reached under the ugliest gnome statuette - it had amanitas growing out of its beard, why? - and produced the key.
“You really know how to show a guy a good time,” grumbled Eddie, but followed him through the door anyway.
Tumblr media
Not even an hour later, they were ready to start recording. Steve brewed a huge pot of coffee to keep him awake. He didn’t think he could sleep anyway, but Eddie was giving him secret guilty looks at every suppressed yawn, even suggesting Steve could take a nap, that Eddie would keep watch, no worries. “I haven’t slept in a year, so I didn’t realize,” he muttered through a strand of hair he was chewing on. “I don’t want you fainting mid-song, and that couch looks comfy enough, so how about it?”
Steve just gave him a blank stare and downed a massive mug of coffee in one go, almost burning his tongue on it. As if he’d waste a single second he could spend with Eddie.
Their setup was small, but Steve thought it didn’t need anything else. The beauty of Eddie’s music was that it didn’t require a huge band or an orchestra to pull on the listener’s heartstrings. Eddie didn’t have any formal musical education, he didn’t know all the fancy words like legato, crescendo or forte. But he had a feel for music so great that even his high school music teacher who otherwise hated his guts had to admit he had potential.
When they were still allowed to meet, younger, enamored with music and each other’s company, Eddie would hum his melodies, usually choosing the acoustic guitar to carry the main tune. He kept playing them over and over again, giving Steve space to experiment with potential accompaniments. He only occasionally took over the piano and gave instructions such as “I thought this part could use a bit more force, you know. I’ll go quieter on the guitar, and the piano will become the main instrument until the next verse, what do you think? It should be something like a dialogue between the two instruments. Imagine I’m rambling, and you really want to say something, so you start speaking at the same time and going louder and louder, hoping I’ll get the drift and shut up.”
He trusted Steve with this work, and Steve was so grateful. He vowed never to disappoint Eddie, and to that day he hoped he hadn’t, at least not when it came to music.
As he sat down at the piano, he gently stroked the familiar keys. His eyes were burning again. He’d prayed for the day when he’d be able to do this with Eddie again, only to realize that this would be the last time they’d ever play together.
Eddie had just finished tuning the guitar to his liking. He shifted on the stool to face Steve and smiled. “I missed this, you know.”
Steve returned the smile as well as he could. “Me too. It hadn’t been the same without you.”
Shrugging, Eddie ran his fingers across the strings, stretching and adjusting his grip. “Eh, I think you were doing just fine without me. I liked your adjustments to the chorus of “Remains of the day”, they make it sound a bit more playful. The original sound was a bit too creepy.”
His tone was flat, as if it was just a simple observation. But Steve’s hands stilled over the keyboard, staring at Eddie with mouth wide open. “How…” he choked out, “...how do you know? I made them only a few months back. You’ve never...I mean, you were already-”
“Steve.” There was no malice in Eddie’s words, but his smile faltered. It was still there, yet somehow sad. “Are you telling me you haven’t noticed?”
“Noticed what?”
The dead man pointed towards the dark trees behind the window glass. “Where this window leads.”
Steve’s eyes finally betrayed him. He rapidly blinked, but one tear made it out and rolled down his cheek, between his lips. He tasted the salt as he remembered all the times he’d sat here, playing Eddie’s melodies from memory whenever Nancy and Robin decided to go upstairs to have more privacy.
There wasn’t a single visit when he wouldn’t play them. Steve felt the constant urge to keep repeating them, committing them to memory. He wanted to burn them into his brain so he could never lose a single detail. Maybe one day, when he’d succeeded begging Eddie for his forgiveness, he’d play them for him. He would show Eddie that he never let himself forget, never stopped thinking about him .
He pictured himself sitting there, tens, hundreds of times. The window was usually open to sell the illusion that Robin was playing during their visits. And even in the dark, Steve realized where the narrow path between the trees led - to the small clearing in the woods, to the freshly dug hole in the ground where someone had buried Steve’s heart.
“No way,” he whispered. The taste of salt on his lips didn’t relent, and he didn’t try to control it any longer. “You heard me? You heard me all this time when…?”
Eddie nodded. For a moment, it seemed like he wanted to get up, maybe join Steve at the piano, but then he changed his mind. Instead, he started fidgeting with his rings again. “Yeah. Not to inflate your ego, Steve, but oh well. We’ve come this far. You were my main reason for not moving on.”
He huffed a short laugh when Steve gave him a confused, teary-eyed look. “It’s true. I was lying there for a while, and you know how much I hate staying still. I was considering giving up and just moving on for quite a while. But whenever I thought I could give it all up, just forget my dreams and all that was keeping me here, I heard you. It was like a part of me was still up here, waiting to be reclaimed. You were safeguarding my songs, and I of course knew I could never come back, but somehow…I just hoped, Steve. I didn’t think, I just…hope isn’t the correct word. I yearned to come back, that’s it. Because there was someone calling me back every single day.”
Steve’s eyes didn’t leave him for a second. “But everyone down there said…they said that you were playing all the time. Practicing.”
“I did. And it drove me crazy that my own songs didn’t sound right anymore. I tried replicating everything I’d heard from you, but…” Fondness crept into Eddie’s voice, as if he was recalling a precious memory. “It never sounded right. I blamed it on the corpse fingers, the stiffness of dead muscles, but I guess I was lying to myself. Playing these songs by myself just wouldn’t do because you became a part of them. They weren’t complete without you.”
“Eddie…”
Eddie shushed him. “And if you think that I was listening to you just because I had nothing better to do, well, you might be partially right. But also…I’d known you kept playing my songs long before I died, you know. Why do you think I was in the woods the day I died? It’s not like I’m one of those crazy fans of nature who love walking in the woods, getting all muddy and wet and collecting ticks and other bloodsucking creatures. I’d known about your playing for months, Steve. And I…uh.” He pulled a strand of hair in front of his face, hiding his expression. “I actually kept going there a lot. I sat on that tree stump, listening to my, well, our songs. I still hated your guts, but a part of me felt so happy that you seemed to have as much trouble letting me go as I had you.”
Steve was hit with a sudden wave of nausea and numbness. His fingers were still laid on the keyboard, but their feel was now uncertain, foreign. “So you're telling me that all this time it was me?” he whispered. It hurt to even voice his thoughts. “It was me who kept you trapped in that grave? Who…who lured you there to be killed?! If I let you go, you could have had peace. You…you could have even lived! Eddie, I don’t even know how to begin to say how sorry I am. Nothing I say will ever be enough.” Steve withdrew his hands from the piano, wrapping them around his body. “You gave me so much and I…I made things worse every single time. I caused this. All of this.”
He didn’t see it when Eddie set down his guitar, but he heard the hollow thunk of it. The clinking of Eddie’s metal chain, the squeaking of his old sneakers, it used to feel so right. But now…
Eddie nudged his side and squeezed next to him onto the wide stool. “Hey, Steve. Let me say something. Sure, we’ve had our not so great moments, with your dad’s blackmail and stuff like that. But, and get your eyes up here, Harrington, I’m being earnest and I demand an audience for it!”
When Steve’s wet eyes found his, Eddie snuck his arm around Steve’s shoulders and pulled him close. Steve leaned into the embrace with a quiet sob, clutching Eddie’s band t-shirt. Eddie didn’t seem to mind. “Apart from the whole protecting me and Wayne through being a dick, you didn’t cause me any pain. Really. You have no idea how much our friendship meant to me.”
Steve’s face was buried in Eddie’s jacket, but he still managed to produce a “huh?” sound.
“It did. When I moved here, I didn’t know anyone, and Wayne was trying to figure out how to make it work with the plant shifts and stuff. I was bullied all the time, I wasn’t much of a looker without my hair. So I just thought I’d spend all the time until my graduation keeping to myself, which was lonely as hell. The music room helped. And then one day…a pretty boy who had to have tens of friends approached me and asked me to teach him. I felt so lucky.”
Steve still wouldn’t show his face, but his arms around Eddie’s waist tightened. “Pretty sure it was me who was lucky. You changed my life.”
Eddie squeezed his shoulders, cradling Steve close. “Shush. This is my life changing story, get your own. For some reason, that pretty boy chose me. Even though I was mostly flying through the playing and teaching blind, he kept coming back. Not just that - he actually listened to me. He heard my rambling, all those unrealistic plans, dreams, the outrageous ideas, and he believed in me.”
Steve had finally settled against him, his breathing under control again. Eddie continued. “Do you remember when we started playing together, Steve? I was so freaking anxious because I realized I couldn’t possibly play both instruments at the same time when I finally got to record my stuff. And I couldn’t ask anyone because I couldn’t write or read the stupid sheet music. Still can’t, by the way. But you just sat down at the piano and told me: “Tell me what you need me to play. I’ll do it.” You said it as if it was the most natural thing in the world, to spend all your free afternoons playing what I threw at you. As if you didn’t have anything better, more important to do.”
That finally made Steve stir in Eddie’s arms. He straightened his back and looked Eddie in the eyes, wiping away the rogue tears. “I didn’t. It was the most important thing to me, Eddie. And still is. Likely will always be.”
Eddie wasn’t really thinking, he just reached out and ruffled Steve’s hair. It was so different with all the product in it, but there was a touching familiarity in the gesture. They used to ruffle each other’s hair when Eddie’s finally decided to grow out and looked like a wild nest of curls. “No neat hairstyles in my music class, Harrington! Go wild and go home!” he’d say.
“I’m glad to hear that,” whispered Eddie and god, he wasn’t lying. Being an important part of Steve Harrington’s life was addictive. Intoxicating. “So how about a small practice before we start recording, big boy? I recall you liking that four hand piece we adapted from Back to the Future.” He extended his hand, as if he was asking Steve to dance. “Accompany my beloved nerdy music, my liege?”
Steve beamed at him. “My pleasure, lord Edward,” he said and took his hand.
Tumblr media
The night was long and Steve gradually drank the whole pot of coffee. He couldn’t imagine preferring sleep to this. The moment they both sat down at the piano, it was as if they were two puzzle pieces that belonged together. Something clicked, and Steve felt whole again. Compared to that, sleep was ridiculously overrated.
Not everything went smoothly, of course. Eddie had made some adjustments to the music during their time apart, and it took Steve a while to catch up, to bridge the gaps. They mused and tried out new passages, re-did the old ones, played around with the cassette recorder to get the perfect balance for both instruments. But most of all, they just revisited the past and brought back the best of it.
The recording was supposed to take long hours, but Steve supposed theirs was an exception. After all, what was there to improve on when all of these songs had been cherished, perfected and preserved over many long years? Eddie’s more recent changes made sense to Steve, it was enough to hear them just once, twice, and then they blended into what he’d already known. His ankle still hurt as he used the pedals, but Bob’s bandage kept it fixed in place well enough.
Not all of Eddie’s songs had lyrics, but for the ones that had, Steve admired how Eddie’s voice had grown into them. It was more hoarse and less polished than when they’d practiced the last time, but there was emotion and maturity that the sixteen year old Eddie Munson hadn’t possessed. Now, his voice was perfect.
They only had a few breaks, a bunch for coffee, one for Steve to take a quick shower to make sure he was fully alert, and then one to share a cigarette outside. Eddie complained about not having had a smoke for over a year. Steve got up and reached blindly behind a potted plant to produce a well-concealed pack of cigarettes and a lighter. With an awestruck expression, Eddie grasped his hand and squeezed it. “I could just marry you right here, Steve Harrington. Oh wait!” he laughed and wiggled his ringed finger at him. Steve’s heart didn’t beat faster after that, nope, not at all.
Eventually, they saw the sun rise through the trees. They’d just finished going through their final recording, with Eddie’s comments and introductions before each song. Steve squeezed Eddie’s hand. “If that Craig guy doesn’t love it, he has no taste,” he announced. He felt ridiculously proud.
“One can only hope.” Eddie shrugged off his jacket and, after an annoyed squeak, removed Ozzy from the comfort of the chest pocket. “Hey, do you think the Buckleys have some fruit they could spare? Ozzy gets really bitchy when he’s hungry.”
Steve laughed at that and dragged Eddie towards the kitchen. “Don’t we all? Let me just open a window, the air here is horrible.”
Leaving the living room to breathe a little, they made their way to the kitchen’s fruit bowl. “He likes sweet apples,” muttered Eddie as he dug through the neatly arranged pile of produce. “Does this look sweet to you?”
Steve took the apple from him and bit into it. “Yep, sweet. Let me cut it for him.” Noticing Eddie’s confused look, he laughed again. “What, you don’t think Ozzy is important enough to have his own taste tester?”
“I do now.”
Steve switched the kettle on again. It wasn’t that he needed another cup of coffee, but it was morning, and as they say, old habits die hard. He worked fast with the knife, chopping the apple into small cubes. The sound of water boiling was familiar and comforting, and having Eddie by his side in the kitchen when he was preparing breakfast? It could have been the only thing he needed in his life, he thought.
There was a quiet sound behind them, but it got drowned out by the kettle. Maybe a draft from the open window rustled the torn plastic wrap of the tape they used.
“So…” began Eddie, playing with his rings again. “What now? When does the post open?”
“I took one of those padded envelopes with us, and a bunch of stamps my dad had in his office. So if you know the address, we can just pack it and send it through that collection box we passed yesterday. Do you want to add some sort of an introduction, a letter or something?”
Eddie rubbed his temples, sighing. “I should. Let me do that. You have a paper and a pen in that magical bag of yours?”
“Sure do.”
They made their way back to the living room. While Steve served Ozzy a bowl of neatly cut fruit, Eddie sat down to the decorative table and started writing, his tongue sticking out in concentration. “Dear…Craig. I hope…you didn’t forget about me. Here’s…the demo…I promised. You can…do whatever you want…with it, I don’t think I’ll be able…to work on it again. But…if it makes any money…my part goes to Wayne. You know Wayne. And…you won’t be a dick to Wayne, will you?” He paused, tapping his pen against the paper. Then he added: “Thanks for giving me a chance, I appreciate it. Take care…Eddie Munson.”
While he was writing, Steve was carefully walking around the room, cleaning the mess they’d made. He was just picking up the torn plastic wrap and got stuck thinking that it seemed too much? They only opened one tape. It was probably normal and he was just tired. He also swept up the dirt and a bunch of small feathers they must have brought from their smoke break. His father called it a stupid itch, but cleaning gave him a purpose and clarity.
He also tried to nudge Ozzy away from the half-eaten bowl of fruit to clean under him, but the small creature wouldn’t budge. He was splayed on the table and playfully bit into Steve’s finger when he attempted to move him. Message received loud and clear.
As he finished putting the room to its original state, Eddie was already standing by the door, envelope in hand. “Shall we?” he asked.
Steve wanted nothing less than to walk out of that door. It was yet another step towards losing Eddie forever, but it was the right thing to do. “Sure,” he nodded and grabbed the keys. “Ozzy, are you coming?”
The small bat squeaked at him, and while Steve still couldn’t understand what he was saying, the tone was clear. Ozzy was still lying on the table, flat as a pancake, and moving him would probably start another world war.
Eddie patted Steve’s shoulder. “The window is open, he’ll let himself out when he wants to. Plus I’m sure he still has some fruit there. See you later, buddy!”
With an awkward wave at their winged friend, they left Robin’s house and locked the door.
Tumblr media
Steve didn’t know what to expect from the rest of his day. Dropping the envelope in the collection box was the only clear point in his future. He remembered staring at the yellow package, at Eddie’s wild handwriting, and he felt an overwhelming urge to tear it out of Eddie’s hands and stomp on it. He wanted to keep Eddie right here with him, tell him that they could actually do better, they could stay for a few days, weeks, months to practice, to improve their work. Maybe people wouldn’t be able to tell Eddie was dead. Maybe he could still achieve his dreams, if only-
But then Eddie dropped the envelope in the box and that potential future, the future where Eddie finally achieved what he’d dreamed of for over a decade, dissolved in front of Steve’s eyes.
From Eddie’s sad smile, his thoughts followed a similar pattern. “It’s going to be okay,” he told Steve, maybe himself too.
Just as they were about to walk back and go collect the stuff they had left at the Buckley house, Steve heard a shout. “You! Steve!”
It wasn’t excited or joyful. Or even angry. Robin’s voice was shaking, and it sounded like she was battling a panic attack.
Steve turned around and hobbled towards her. She was still wearing yesterday’s clothes and was disheveled, even for her standards. “Robin? What’s wrong?”
She sprinted to him and hit his chest, again and again, and it took Steve a moment to realize she was crying. “Where…the fuck…have you been?!” she snapped at him with each hit. “We were so worried! I thought…I…”
Eddie quietly joined them. He didn’t say anything, just observed.
Robin finally stopped hitting him and collapsed against Steve in a forceful hug, burying her face in his chest. “Everything went so wrong, Steve,” she whispered. “So wrong. We weren’t careful enough, Nancy’s dad, he…he found out. He’s furious. He locked Nancy in her room and had his friend’s son keep watch over her window so she wouldn’t escape. He also kept me in their house until he could reach my parents in the morning to tell them how I…” she grimaced, “...how I ruined his daughter.”
Steve was stroking her back, his thoughts racing. “But your parents know. They don’t care, right?”
“They don’t. When he couldn’t get them to be angry about it, he kicked me out of his house. Just now. But Ted fucking Wheeler can’t have a queer daughter.” She was crying even harder now, hands grasping at Steve’s t-shirt. “He told her she’ll get married no matter what. But not to you, because he knows how you covered for us. He doesn’t trust you to fix her.” She spat out the last sentence in helpless anger.
“That guy’s a monster,” Eddie whispered. Steve wholeheartedly agreed.
Robin kept on rambling, and every word she uttered made Steve’s heart sink even more. “She’s still getting married, he made sure to arrange that, and as soon as possible. It’s today…in an hour. He told her that if she doesn’t comply, she’ll be dead to him and will never be allowed to see her siblings again. She loves Mike and Holly, Steve, she couldn’t live without them. She…I think she’s going to go through with it. Maybe she’ll think of something, but I couldn’t get to her, I couldn’t even talk to her, and there is no time, Steve. Nancy is so smart, but I can’t see a way out of this that won’t destroy her life.”
“I’m so sorry, Robs. Robin…” Steve squeezed her shoulders and pulled her away, just to see her face. “Robin. This is important. Who is she marrying?”
Her lip wobbled as she said, “Jason Carver. Apparently his parents are eager to find him a good wife and forget the whole Chrissy fiasco.”
A loud gasp made both Robin and Steve snap out of their misery. Eddie was staring past them, eyes open wide in his shock. “Not him,” he whispered. “Anyone but him.”
Steve turned to Eddie, still keeping an arm around Robin. “Have you met him?” he asked.
“Oh, I have.” Eddie’s mouth pressed into a thin line. “He’s a good Christian boy, that’s for sure. If Wheeler marries him, he’ll never let her go. He knows what life’s supposed to look like, and if she happens to disagree? Tough luck. Especially in Hawkins.”
Robin stared at Eddie and something dawned behind her eyes. “You…Eddie, right? Are you…okay? You don’t seem okay. When did you even come back to Hawkins?”
Eddie opened his mouth to answer, but Steve took both of their hands and tugged them forward to get them moving. “Can you give Robin the short version while we’re walking, Eddie? I’m afraid we’re on a tight schedule. We have a wedding to crash.”
Eddie grinned at him. “I take my sarcasm back, Harrington. You really do know how to show a guy a good time.”

when peni's robot died, it made not only her devastated, but also you. you were close with peni since the two of you met and have been the inseparable friendship duo continuously after that. it broke your heart along with hers when her robot stopped functioning. you wanted to make it right by helping her build a new one, but there was one issue..
you had no engineering skills whatsoever. so when you offered to help peni, she was slightly confused, knowing you didn't know shit about mechanics. she let you help either way, of course. the both of you worked in one of the workshop rooms in hq.
you stood by the corner filing your nails as peni moved scraps of metal and toolboxes into the center of the room. "ahem!" peni's voice shocked you, causing you to jolt up and meet eyes with her. she crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows at you. "what?" you asked, aware you aren't helping at all. "you gonna help me move all this or just stand there and worry about your pretty little nails?" you responded "i'll help, what do you want me to do?" knowing you weren't gonna help with what she asked you to.
"grab the welding mask for me," peni instructed as she flopped a piece of metal in front of her. "uhh.. what's a welding mask look like again?" you rotated your head to look around the room. "it's a big metal shield with a window where the eyes go that covers your face." "oh! found it." you ran across the room, grabbed a metal bowl, and handed it to peni. "..what the fuck is this" "a welding mask! right?" you seemed confused when she gave you a blank stare. "what" "BITCH THIS IS A FUCKING BOWL" you stepped out of the way when peni got up to grab the welding mask on a shelf next to the door. as she got to work you asked yourself how she could possibly know all about this mechanics stuff while applying chapstick. you eventually ended up on your phone, texting your friends and other people at spider society.
peni gave you a disappointing glare from across the room and after about five seconds of her looking you up and down and shaking her head, she asked you for the screwdriver. "one second peni," you say as you hold up a finger while finishing up your text before pressing send. "what was that again?" "get me the screwdriver, please." you walked over to the toolbox and reached out, getting grease on your hand in the process. "ewww!! hold on, i have to wash this off real quick." you rush over to the nearby sink while peni says "there's no way you suggested to help and thought you weren't going to get dirty at all." you reply "whatever!" and go back over to the tool box.
"hmm.. peni which drawer is it in again?" "just check all of them! i don't know." you open the first one.. measuring tapes. second one had screws and bolts in it. third one.. "aha! screwdriver!" you pull out a flathead screwdriver and hand it to her proudly. she hands it back to you and tells you "i need a phillips screwdriver. it's got a different looking head." "is the screwdriver's name philip or something? i'm confused why is this relevant" "just get it for me." you trace your steps back to the same toolbox drawer and pull out a hex-head screwdriver. you hold it up and look at her for approval, she shakes her head no, and you sigh. you think to yourself, how many fucking types of screwdrivers are there? you search the drawer once again and finally get out the right one and hand it to her.
you really don't help peni at all the whole rest of the time after that. regardless, whenever someone compliments the robot, you speak as if you were the one doing all the building work when really the whole time she was building while you attempted to navigate the workshop. either way you and peni are the iconic best friend duo and she loves you no matter if you can tell what a phillips screwdriver looks like or not. <3

Prompt finished.
Okay @opakitty here's your requested story. I'm sorry if it's shorter than you expected I had to rework my initial ideas because I didn't think they'd fit the characters, au or not, I was going to include a typical Chat visit but I figured there's no way Adrien would leave things that long and as for the rest? Well there's only so much you can say when you're writing from the perspective of someone who has absolutely no idea what is going on. Anyway. First (and quite possibly last depending on how bad it is) prompted story is under the cut.
There seemed to be fewer akuma's lately, something Adrien had mixed feelings about. On the one hand it meant life was less stressful for the people of Paris but, on the other hand, it meant less time spent with his lady. Especially since she had put a hold on patrols, citing personal health issues, so it was just Chat Noir on his lonesome for the next couple of nights. Still, he had to drag himself to school just like the rest of his class and decided to put his own disappointment to the side.
He was glad that he did when he noticed that Marinette had made it to class on time for once. However his friend didn't look that pleased, she was bent over with her head resting on the desk and seemed to be moaning in pain. He was about to go check on her, maybe suggest she head to the nurse's office when Nino pulled him back. "Trust me dude, you don't want to get involved in that." The normally easy-going teen sounded especially serious today.
"How come?" Adrien asked as they moved so they weren't blocking the class door.
"It's just her time of the month. Dudettes get a little sensitive during that time, y'know?" Nino shrugged as if that explained everything but Adrien was still very confused.
"Her time? Is there a class schedule or something I missed?" The very naive Agreste asked. He hoped that wasn't the case; he'd feel bad if there was something everyone was supposed to do but he didn't, hopefully Nathalie had been informed and had already put it into his schedule.
"A schedule? What?" Nino looked as confused as Adrien felt. "No man, her time, you know…" the aspiring DJ/director lowered his voice and glanced around nervously. "Her period?"
"Like lunch?" The boy was lost.
"No!" Grumbling in embarrassed frustration Nino gripped his hat tightly. "Just… ask a female okay? Just, not now!" He hastened to clarify when it looked like Adrien was about to head straight into class. "And not one of the girls… like I said. They can get sensitive about that type of thing."
Shaking his head and muttering something about shelter, Nino just walked into the room leaving Adrien to follow with still no idea about why Marinette looked so upset or why Nino was acting so strange. He couldn't keep his mind from thinking about it all through class until lunchtime. When he got up to leave he saw that the rest of the girls, bar Chloe and Sabrina, had gathered around Marinette's desk and seemed to be comforting her.
Needless to say, when he finally arrived home for lunch, it was the first thing he asked Nathalie when he walked through the door. "My friend Marinette seems to be suffering from one and I wanted to know how to help." He said when asked for an explanation.
Nathalie stared at him for a moment before sighing and adjusting her glasses. "If you finish your meal early enough I will accompany you to the store and help you grab some things that may help."
Adrien gave her a hug before rushing into the dining hall to eat, now incredibly thankful that all the work he did as Chat Noir had boosted his appetite. Soon after he was back in the limo listening as Nathalie gave a very brief description of what his friend may currently be feeling. While they were shopping she also explained how a girl's experience during her period may differ from one person to another or even from month to month so he'd have to settle for some of the basics until she trusted him enough to go into detail. That last explanation was the reason Adrien didn't ask what helped Nathalie through her period, it seemed like quite a personal matter.
They arrived back at the school with a few minutes to spare and, after one last thank you hug to Nathalie, Adrien was walking up the steps carrying a bag filled with all they had bought. He really hoped they helped Marinette feel better. And that she wouldn't get upset. Did friends do things like this? The other girls seemed to want to help her out so surely this wasn't that different. Right?
Speaking of which it wasn't hard to spot the group still gathered around the girl in question. Adrien couldn't help but smile as he walked towards them, Marinette was so lucky to have such good friends and he only hoped she held him in the same regard. "Hi Marinette." He started as he held out the bag to her, she seemed to freeze with her hands on her stomach so Alya took it off his hands. "I'm sorry you don't feel so well, it's a little short notice and I wasn't sure what you needed but I hope it helps." The rest of the girls gathered around the bag as well.
"Th-thank you, A-adrien." Marinette still stuttered and her face was still a little red so that was at least the same.
"No problem, if there's anything you don't need, or would prefer, just let me know so I can get it next time okay?" He gave her a bright smile and walked off as the girls began to hand her things they thought she could use while showing off the others. There was no point in the hot water bottle or the green tea right now but there was a thermos of cocoa, an instant heat pack as well as an electric one for when she went to bed, some butterscotch sweets and some mild pain relievers that were apparently perfect for this type of thing.
It seemed like her friends approved judging by the sounds they were making but Adrien was too far away at that point to hear them. He had just gotten back to class and settled into his seat beside Nino by the time the bell rang. Mylene gave him a bright smile when she entered, Rose gave him a quick hug as Juleka gave him a small nod and muttered something that sounded like "good job" while Alex settled for a thumbs up. Alya seemed to be supporting Marinette when the two of them entered, which concerned him a little, but he settled when Alya gave him a wink.
"Dude? The hell was all that about?" Adrien didn't have time to answer as class soon started but he was much more at ease than he had been that morning. He wished he could be there for Ladybug during her personal problems but hearing the small sigh Marinette let out as she unwrapped one of the butterscotch sweets and popped it in her mouth was just as satisfying.

WIP Wednesday
Y'all really wanted some Inventor Crystal x Robot Gigi, so here's one of the scenes. Gigi finds some very interesting material online. Gigi uses they/them pronouns at the start of the fic.
----
Crystal had become adept at sensing whenever Gigi wanted to tell her something. That, or their constant hovering around her workbench. Gigi stood entirely still, staring off into nothingness awaiting Crystal's command that it was okay to speak. Crystal laid down her soldering iron to turn her attention to the robot.
"Do you wish to tell me something Gigi?"
"Yes, I have completed my task in searching for things that make people happy." Gigi's mechanical cadence had improved considerably. At the very least, more than their mannerisms would suggest. Their face was still stone cold despite the more bubbly voice Gigi had been using as of late.
"Tell me, please. What did you find?"
"I have through an extensive search on the world wide web, found out that female breast tissue bring people what you call 'joy' and 'happiness'. Furthermore, my research has led me to the conclusion that size does not matter in the enjoyment, but just their mere existence is enough." Gigi's retelling made Crystal confused more than anything. What in the world were they on?
"Gigi what exactly did you watch?" Crystal's voice wavered. She wasn't ready for the answer. She was not ready at all.
"Retrieving browser history. Here's what I found: Tits of Fury, Tig Ol' Bitties, Cum Guzzlers 5, A Tale of Two Titties, Milfbusters–"
"Gigi! That's porn! You've been looking at porn!?" Crystal interjected. All colour had drained from her face. What in the actual hell. Crustal hadn't programmed such an interest into her robot, of that she was sure.
"They were making a lot of happy noises." Trust Gigi to not understand what the problem was at all.
Crystal buried her face in her hands and groaned. This wasn't what she had envisioned when asking Gigi to look up what made people happy on the internet. Actually, that was likely where her problem stemmed from. She rubbed her nose, contemplating her words. How would she tell Gigi that this was an inappropriate use of the computer?
"I'm sure they were. But that's not what I had in mind."
"Did I do bad?" Gigi almost looked dejected, head turned down. Disappointing Crystal was one of the worst things they could do.
"Not at all. I was the one who gave the bad order." Crystal reassured them. She had to be careful with her words next time.
"Understood." Gigi still didn't move despite having given their report. It usually meant they had more to say. Gigi looked at Crystal with the same absent stare like they always did. The whole situation made their lack of expression more comical than scary.
"Er… before we tackle anything else with the research, is there anything else you want to tell me?"
"Yes. I want to issue a request to have female breast tissue installed." Gigi moved their arms to put on their flat chest to demonstrate where they wanted them to go.
It took Crystal a couple seconds to take in what her robot had asked of her. "Why would you want that? And stop fondling yourself!"
"Do you not like the features of the female sex?" Gigi pondered, their arms dropping to their sides.
"That's besides the point."
"Request denied?"
Crystal was about to give up on the conversation to make sense. For whatever reason, her robot seemed adamant on wanting breasts. "Do you really want to have boobs?"
"Yes." Gigi confirmed.
"Screw it, sure, you can have boobs." Gigi's reaction to being told they could have their damn breasts almost didn't make Crystal dread the upcoming hours she was going to spend researching and developing boobs for her live in android. "Is there anything else about your body that you want to be changed, now that we're going to open you up again?"

See the Light - The Owl House
hunter learns he doesn't need to be made of gold to shine
(aka, hunter gets his first glyph lesson from luz)
Tumblr media
“Remember: circle, triangle, line, little circle, and lines again. Okay?”
Hunter nods and puts pencil to paper. Circle, triangle, line, little circle, little triangle, little line. He knows what to draw but he can’t quite seem to picture the glyph she’d allowed him a glimpse of before he gave it a shot on his own. Was the triangle supposed to be this wide?
He finishes the glyph but it doesn’t look right and he can’t pinpoint why. Maybe the little circle is too little or the line is too long. Maybe the triangle is too far down. He hopes his mistakes aren’t so bad that it doesn’t work.
He gingerly taps the center of the paper and it crumples itself up. He watches anxiously. It sits there motionless and his face falls. No light.
“I’m sorry,” he blurts out. He messed up. They didn’t establish a punishment for that, did they? He should’ve asked. Maybe then he would’ve tried harder.
“It’s okay,” Luz says with a smile, ever tolerant of him for reasons unknown to him. “Give it another try.”
He does. This time, he makes the small circle bigger, shortens the line just a little, shifts the triangle up. He’s been granted a second chance; he can’t waste it. Luz’s gaze he can’t see burns into him as she watches over his shoulder, observing every mistake he makes, holding her tongue out of pity for how hopelessly wrong he must be.
This one feels less odd to him, but what little image of the correct glyph he had has faded and maybe this one is even worse. He hesitates to activate it.
“Try it,” she says. “Let’s see what happens.”
With no other choice, he taps the paper. This time, nothing happens at all.
He feels like crying. He should’ve gotten it by now. He’s seen this glyph a million times, the light glyph is the simplest one Luz said there is. This should be easy. What is wrong with him? Why can’t he get it?
Luz must notice his silence because she plasters on a fake smile for him. “Hey, it’s okay. It’s not the end of the world.”
In the corner of his eye he sees her hand come down just a little too late and in a panic he jerks away, nearly knocking the pencil and paper off the table. She stops in her tracks, staring at him. He realizes his mistake immediately.
“I-I’m sorry,” he stammers and rushes back where he was. “Sorry. You can, um…”
He fixes his gaze on the table— it’s easier not to flinch when he doesn't see it coming— and stays perfectly still as the tears well up. He holds them back. This is the third time he’s messed up in the past few minutes. He can’t afford another mistake.
It takes longer than he expects before she speaks. “What?”
“I won’t move again,” he swears. He’s already lucky she didn’t get more mad from his first failed glyph or even the second.
She stares at him, confused. “Hunter, what are you talking about?”
“You were going to hit me,” he says, swallowing a lump in his throat. Maybe she doesn't know he isn't supposed to avoid it. “I didn’t mean to move away. I won’t do it again.”
Now she stares in horror. “Hunter, I wasn’t going to hit you!”
“...You weren’t?”
“No!” She sputters. “I was going to put my hand on your shoulder! You know, in, like, a comforting, buddy-buddy kinda way?”
“Oh.” He’s still confused. “But… what about my punishment?”
“Punishment?”
“For messing up. Twice,” he says, voice beginning to crack again. “I mean, I should’ve— I should’ve gotten it by now. I was drawing it fine when I could look at it while I drew it. I-I don’t… I don’t know what’s wrong with me now.”
Saying it out loud, it suddenly sounds a lot more disappointing. It sinks in a little more just how pathetic that is, that once he couldn't see the correct glyph he lost the ability to draw it at all. A heavy feeling of failure weighs in his chest.
“It’s pathetic,” he adds then, voice soft.
“Hunter, no,” she says firmly, like she’s offended he’d even suggest it. “It's not pathetic. You’re learning. I’m not punishing you for that.”
He doesn't understand. He did something wrong. “How else will I learn?”
“Well, for one, what did you change in this glyph compared to your last one?”
“I, um…” He almost forgets when he tries to remember and scrambles to flatten the first attempt for comparison. “I made the smaller circle bigger, made the line in the middle shorter, and moved the triangle up a little.”
“Hm.”
Luz’s eyes flick between the two papers, searching for these differences. Then she grabs a blank piece of paper from the pile and draws her own glyph. She doesn't activate it and instead lays it alongside the two Hunter drew.
“I'm gonna be honest, I don't really see the changes you made. But look”—she points to the small lines in the middle of hers, then both of his—“you have one line, but mine has two.”
“Oh.” It was that simple. He was just missing a line in the middle. Idiot— how did he overlook that?
“Try again. I think you’ll get it this time.”
She flips over the pre-existing glyphs and slides him another piece of paper. This time, he corrects the list in his head: circle, triangle, line, little circle, little triangle, two little lines.
He finishes and his hand hovers over the new glyph, afraid to touch it. What if it fails again?
Luz offers him a smile. “Go for it.”
Holding his breath, he touches the paper.
For a moment, it doesn't do anything. He almost gives up there— and then it slowly rises, balls up, and disappears inside a floating orb of light.
“I— I did it!” He springs to his feet and cups the light in his hands, staring in awe. He made that. He made that. “But… it shouldn't have taken me that long.”
“Oh, shut up!” He’s taken aback by the change of tone for a moment but when he looks at her she's grinning wide. “You did it! Who cares how long it took you, that's awesome!”
He wants to object because it's certainly not a good thing that it took him three tries to memorize the easiest glyph in the book but he can't help but feel at least a little proud of himself. And Luz is his teacher, after all. If she says this is good, it must be true.
“Give it another try,” she says. “See if you remember it.”
He tries, and he does. A second ball of light floats alongside the first and now he’s almost giddy with barely-contained excitement at his light glyphs.
“You’ve got it!” Luz exclaims with more than enough excitement for both of them.
“Yeah!” With Luz just as excited as he is, his anxiety fades away. He's using magic without a bile sac, without even being a witch. He never really needed the staff Belos gave him, either, did he? “What's next?”
She looks just as proud and Hunter practically glows under her praise. “Next up, I wanna scale it up more. Let’s see who can make a bigger glyph!”
He grins. “You're on.”

can you write a cute drabble where the reader has just started dating steven and she’s sort of messing with steven saying little things to rile him up a bit, but steven is so darn cute that it flies over his head and marc is screaming to get out and though steven is confused, he does let him, and suddenly marc is cornering the reader with a smirk “care to repeat that sweetheart”
tongue tied.

Steven is helplessly and undeniably in love with you, simple as that.
He enjoys talking to you, going to the movies with you, sleeping with you…He worships the very soil you walk on. Some would say he’s a little bit too in love but honestly who cares? Steven had you and that was all that mattered to him.
“Earth to Steven,” you call out to him, waving a spoon an inch away from his love-struck face. “Are you there?”
He blinks rapidly before replying.
“Y-Yeah, I’m here. Sorry about that love, what did you say?”
“I asked if you liked the soup?”
Steven stared down at his bowl, that’s right he was drinking tomato soup, a soup that you made just for him. A wide smile spread across his lips once more as he took a spoonful and gave you a thumbs up.
“I love, thank you so much,”
“What were you thinking about?” you ask, chuckling. Then you wiggled your eyebrows. “Something naughty?”
“Nope, I was just thinking about how darn lucky I am to have you,”
“Oh,”
You’re still smiling but Steven can’t shake the feeling that he’s disappointed you somehow. But before he can ask about, you get up and collect your plate only to dumb in the sink. Steven promptly lets go of his spoon, his eyebrows raising as he watches you come back to him. With a mischievous smile, you comb his curly locks back with your fingers exposing his forehead, leaning down, you plant a soft kiss. His face heats up, his mind swirling with thoughts but only a small portion of them belonged to him, Marc was also blabbering about something.
“You’re too nice to me,” you say with a wink. “My sweet sweet, adorable baby boy,”
Steven’s lips parts with a silent gasp. The way you look at him makes him feel weak in the knees. He licks his lips, eyes wide as he silently stares at you. Before he can say anything he notices small movements in the soup bowl, with the corner of his eye he notices Marc, looking irritated as ever.
Steven you’re an idiot,
He can’t reply, not when you’re just an inch away from him so Steven only stares at his reflection.
Can’t you see what she wants? God damn it, just let me out and I’ll show you.
It’s very subtle but Steven shakes his head, lips wording the “no”.
Come on Steven. Just let go.
Steven grits his teeth as Marc manages to seep through the cracks, his eyelids gently flutter. You shoot him a worried glance, loosening your grip in his hair as you tilt your head to the side.
With a grin, Marc gets up from his chair, inching closer to you. He watches as you let out a stuttered breath, clearly surprised by the sudden change in demeanor. Marc leans in, his lips brushing against yours as you take a step back. He loves to see you sweat.
“Care to repeat what you just said, sweetheart?”
“M-Marc?”
“Bingo.”

THE CRIMSON RED DRESS that you wore to this party, was laced with pearls along your neckline, accenting your body beautifully. By your side was Druig, your husband with his white button-up and a charcoal-colored suit that brought out his sapphire eyes.
Despite bickering back and forth whether he had to go or not, he eventually gave in. He couldn't resist your puppy-dog eyes and he didn't want to disappoint you.
One of your human friends, who eventually grew to be one of your best friends, invited you and your husband to her birthday party, which she always had to go all out, knowing her rich personality.
The house was magnificent, lit brightly with a beautiful crystal chandelier hanging on top of the roof, along with renaissance paintings accentuating it.
"Y/n!" You heard your friend's voice, her heels making their way towards you. A smile lit up on your face as she embraced you in a tight hug.
You felt shivers run down your spine when Druig started to rub circles on the sides of your hips, his separation anxiety starting to lightly overwhelm him. As soon as you were done talking to your friend, you turned to Druig and smiled up at him.
"Don't worry, honey I didn't forget about you." Your arms were now resting on his shoulders, his hands now securely wrapped around your waist.
"That's good, my love because if you did forget about me, I would have to punish you." A smirk appeared on his face as he saw the dumbstruck look in your eyes, knowing he successfully took you off guard, but you weren’t letting him off that easy without a comeback.
"Aww, look at you trying to threaten me," you said, leaning in slowly towards his lips, Druig's eagerness getting the best of him as he did too. But right before your lips could touch him, you pulled away from his grasp, teasing him, his playful glare intent in his blue eyes.
"Don't test me, love," Druig said in his low raspy voice. You sent one last kiss on his cheek before he reluctantly let go of your hand so you could talk to your other friends.
Druig was staring from afar at the way the dress defined your curves, his eyes not leaving your body. He went to grab glasses of champagne as you were talking to your friends, but then he heard something he disliked very much.
The man who was in front of you was having some dirty thoughts about you, and Druig couldn't help but flare his nose in anger, not liking the way this man was staring at you with lust in his eyes. Druig was the only one who could look at you like that.
"M'darling, come here, please," you heard Druig think in your head. You turned towards him, a questioning look on your face, but when he heard the other inappropriate thoughts from the man in front of you, that's when he had enough.
When you heard Druig's footsteps progress towards you, your body was suddenly embraced by his arms once he handed you the glass of champagne. The grip Druig had on your waist wasn't like the other times he held it before. Right now, his grip was tight, the possessiveness evident as he glared at your friend.
"Druig, are you okay?" He didn't answer your quiet question and he simply stared into the eyes of your friend in front of you. Once you saw his eyes were glowing gold, you put your hands on his cheek in an attempt to get him to calm down, but it didn't work.
"If you ever think of my wife like that again, I will make your life a living hell," Druig said in a low menacing voice. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, wondering where this sudden anger came from. When the man walked away, you faced Druig, still seeing the rage in his eyes.
"What the hell was that? Why did you threaten him like that?" You whisper shouted at your husband, hoping to not cause a scene.
"You should have heard the thoughts he had about you. Trust me, love, I should be the only one thinking of you like that." Once you heard Druig's explanation, you let out a sigh knowing he had a valid point.
"You read his mind?" You asked rhetorically. After a moment of silence, you spoke again. "Dru, I want you to remember I love you and only you. You have nothing to worry about and I can take care of myself."
Druig grabbed your hands into his and leaned his head so your foreheads were now touching.
"My love, I know, I know. I just despised the way that man was thinking bout you." You smiled softly before leaning in, Druig's lips softly touching yours. The kiss started to get heated, his tongue asking for permission in your mouth and you gave it to him.
"Dru, there are people around," you said pulling away from him as his kisses started to trail on your neck. Druig didn't seem to care as he successfully made you release a soft moan, you feeling the smirk on his lips.
Needing privacy, you pulled Druig into a dark hallway of the house, his impatience overwhelming him as he slammed you on the wall, his lips locking onto yours once more. You trailed your hands up his chest, grabbing onto his shirt collar while he lowered his hands near your behind. He suddenly pulled away, a smug smirk plastered on his face.
"My love, you always think so loudly." You knew exactly what he was talking about, but you decided to play it off innocently.
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Is that what you actually think about when I'm with you, sweetheart? Glad to know you're mine and only mine." When you didn't answer, his knee was suddenly between your legs, making you release a shuddered breath.
His lips reconnected with yours, his hands slowly trailing up the slit in your dress, but before he could go any further, you took dominance and flipped him so he was the one being slammed onto the wall.
"Why so desperate, love? We're only getting started." With that, you placed one last kiss on his lips before the two of you told your friend that you had to leave the party early for an emergency.
But that "emergency" led to a very interesting and intimate night for the two of you to remember forever.

*Btw Veruca Salt is a spoiled kid that gets everything she wants, from Charlie and the chocolate factory.
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
Your eyes glared down at the younger boy, towering over him to show dominance "S-sis, what're you doing?" Karl asked "Trying to scare you, is it working?" you leaned down and kept eye contact with the stammering boy "u-um not really.." he stuttered out "then why're you stuttering over your words? You're obviously intimidated." you placed your hands on your hips.
"Well why're you trying to intimidate me? I'm just trying to read this book!" he groaned "Because someone has to knock you down a peg, you think just because you're younger that you can get everything you want? Well not if I can help it!" you were furious by the boy.
"What're you on about? What've I done to you?" Karl asked worriedly "You've been asking for a whole lot this week, veruca salt!" you threw your arms in the air and started pacing around him and his chair "What? Like what?" Karl was utterly confused "You've been asking for non-stop rides to your friends houses, and you've been leaving your laundry around for mother to do!" you cross your arms.
"You're overreacting!" Karl complained "Oh I'm not done! You've also been taking money from mom's purse!" you called him out "What- how did you know about that??" Karl immediately became tense "Oh you look so stressed dear brother, just relax- don't worry... I'm not gonna tell her-" Karl sighed in relief "Oh thank god" and got cut off by you finishing your sentence "-If you promise to be a good brother and listen to what your stepsister says!" you finished.
"WHAT? No way! I'm telling mom and dad!" He began to stand up but you pushed him back down "Oh no no no, you're gonna tell them what? That you stole the $200 that mom presumed was stolen by a thief? You gonna explain that to her after she already called authorities and had someone sent to jail?" you spat venom at him.
"You're evil!" Karl shouted "Me? Evil? I'm not the thief here" you grinned mischievously "Although I could be- if you don't wanna have to do everything I say then just give me something precious you own" you held your hand out expectantly "What am I supposed to give you? My soul?" Karl questioned "If you can bare to part with it then yes" you gave a mean smile in response to his sarcasm.
"I have literally nothing!" Karl exclaimed "You have your phone" you suggested "Dad would kill me if he found out I'd given it away!" He shouted "he'd kill you if he found out about that money too" you reminded him "I- I could give you... I'll let you date one of my friends!" Karl smiled nervously as he hoped you'd agree "What friends? You're a nerd, no one would want to be friends with you" snickered.
"S-Sapnap! He's strong, he loves animals, he has big muscles!" Karl said "The brute with dark hair? He's cute but not my type" you yawned "U-m.. Quackity?" a bead of sweat dropped down his face "He's super cool, really funny!" Karl was starting to worry as he was already running out of friends to pair you with "No.. My type is nerdy boys that I can dominate, ones that get nervous a lot and stutter over their sentences" you hinted.
"Oh- like Wilbur? I'm not really his friend but I can try something!!" Karl wasn't getting the hint "No, I was thinking more specifically towards someone like you." you finally told him "M-me? But I'm your brother!" Karl was in disbelief "Step-brother. And I don't really like you, I just think that you're pitiful and if you're gonna be selling someone's body to me in exchange to keep your secrets safe than it may as well be yours." you explained.
"But- Well- I've never done that before!" he put his hands up defensively "Well obviously, who would want to touch a greasy nerd like you?" you sighed. "Well- No, that's wrong!" he shook his head "Well I'm not gonna make you, just give me something else then and I'll be on my way" you told him. Karl looked down at his feet for a moment as he mulled over what was happening and what decision he was gonna make.
Karl lifted his head and made eye contact with you "Okay." he replied "Okay what? Okay you're gonna give me something?" you asked "No- I mean- okay I'm gonna give you my body" he mumbled quietly "Gonna need to speak up, can't hear you over the sound of our parents crying over having such a disappointing child" you ridiculed him.
"I'll give you my body, damnit!" he yelled "hey- quiet down, our parents are only just down stairs!" you made him shut up. "Whatever" he leaned back in his chair and slumped down "Karl. You need to give me your full consent, you can't just go 'yea whatever' and expect me to be fine with that!" you furrowed your eyebrows "Why?? What- do you need me to beg you for it?!" he was getting aggravated.
"Actually yes, I do" you decided to torment him a little bit "Big sis, please please please fuck this desperate loser" he put his hands together to make a praying gesture as he mocked you "That's more like it, runt." you grabbed his chin and forced him to face you "We can stop at any time, if you choose not to speak up then that'll be your fault" you made sure he was fully aware that he had a say even though he wasn't in control.
"Thanks. Now- how do we?" Karl was now confused on what you were gonna do, and he was having some type of delusion that he was gonna be the one in charge dominating you. "I think I'm just gonna have some fun by jerking you off, is that okay bunny?" you teased "W-what do you mean you're gonna jerk me off?" Karl asked nervously "I'm gonna stroke your dick, never done that before?" you bullied him.
"N-no, never even thought about it.." his face became red and flushed, you slowly slid onto his lap and straddled his leg "No? You haven't? Are you lying to your big sister? That's not very nice you know, Mom always told me that you shouldn't lie (Unless it's to your dad) " Karl glanced away from you and tried to hide his face "Aw you can tell me the truth, I'm a good listener after all!" you encouraged him "I haven't.." he persisted.
"Well then let me introduce you to the pleasure that is being jerked off, slide your pants down" you instructed "What? Do I have to.." he was clearly embarrassed "No. I guess I could just palm you through your pants" you shrugged. Karl sighed in relief and let out a small breath, tilting his head back in the chair and waiting for you to do what you wanted.
Your hand dipped between his legs, your palm rubbing his growing bulge "H-Hey that feels weird" he told you "So what? You want me to stop?" he shut his mouth, encouraging you to keep palming him. "This would feel a lot better if you let your cock free, instead your trapping it in your tight pants and strangling it.." you frowned "F-fine.." Karl blushed as he slowly pulled his pants down.
You watched in delight as he released his penis "Oh is this what you were worried about?" you stared down at it "O-Oh god-" Karl felt humiliated and went to put it away but you stopped him "It's cute.. I wouldn't expect a nerd's penis to be big anyways" you told him. Karl's little cock twitched at your words, moving slightly on its own "oh. my. god. You LIKE when I'm mean to you! That's why you never argue back! It all makes sense now.." Karl looked down to avert eye contact.
"That's perfect Karl, you love when I'm mean to you- and I love to make fun of you! Win Win!" you felt a small rush of excitement. Your hand wrapped around his cock which forced a choked out moan from him, his hands moving to cover his face "you're acting quite rude Karl. Look at your big sister when she's talking to you!" you ordered.
Karl slowly revealed his face, revealing how much pleasure he was having. "F-Feel's weird, let go!" he ushered you to let go of his penis, even though his body disagreed; his hips bucking up into your hand to help finish him off "Trust your big sister." you said as you continued to pump your hand around his cock. "Fuck! Fuck you!" Karl's whole body shuddered as he was having an orgasm, his penis twitching in your hand.
"Wow Karl, that was rude." you huffed and narrowed your eyes, your hand still lingering on his crotch "A-are you done now?" Karl panted as he was trying to catch his breath "Done? I've barely even started!" you laughed maniacally as you began to slowly stroke him again "Ah- no no no, that's too much!" Karl whined. "You want me to stop?" you asked him "Yes!" he exclaimed so you let go and pulled away "What?" Karl was confused and a bit upset "Hm? What is it?" you asked "You're just.. done?" he looked saddened.
"You told me to stop!" you explained "yeah but.. I didn't really mean it.." Karl's cheeks were dusted red "Well come back here then" you grabbed his hips and forced him back down onto his chair. Karl was already eager and bucking his hips up against you, your hand grabbed him again and started to jerk him off "Ah!- Ah-" Karl tried to keep quiet but couldn't help the escaped noises that came out.
You placed your free hand over his mouth to try and muffle his moans, his voice vibrating against your hand "You can never be quiet! Always have something to say, don't you?" you rolled your eyes at him. Karl clenched his eyes shut and tapped the chair repeatedly with his hand to let you know he was ready to cum again, you let him release his load yet again but you didn't remove your hand.
"A-Again?? I can only take so much.." Karl whimpered and whined "You're feeling this way already? But I've only just started!" You frowned "Well I guess I can give you a break now but there won't be any breaks later on when our parents go out to dinner." you stood up and got off him. "T-Thanks.." Karl huffed "For what?" you asked "Thanks for um- pleasuring me?" you scoffed and walked back to your room, ready to return at night time when you had Karl all to yourself.
