II. Forget-me-nots, moonlight
DCA! Moon × reader
Moon remembers everything, he does not forget.
Being brought to consciousness. Being with Sun and taking care of children. Judgements towards him. His first friend besides Sun who called him his ‘son’. Used to, at least.
Moon remembers the blood that coats his hands.
The feeling of grinding gears inside his head.
Sun's pleading. The screams of children and adults.
Thoughts of wanting to die and protect Sun.
Being saved and given a second chance at ‘living’.
Moon may not have a choice in remembering all the pain he was forced to endure.
But remembering you? It will always be his choice.
He will remember you till the stars die and colours turn grey over time.
And maybe, in another lifetime he will find you again. The two of you would live through it all again. Raise a kid together who would run around the house calling out your names. Where he would be able to grow old together, with the only person he's loved this way. Where he would get to say he loved you just as much, if not more than the way you loved him. Where he can sit at the rooftop and gaze at you like you hung all the stars in the sky for his sake.

Waiting. Waiting for you to realise what you were doing wrong. Waiting for you to turn back and leave with your usual polite nods. Waiting for you to walk away from that unlucky murderer who had the audacity to lay their filthy eyes on you.
Unfortunately, you don't leave either. And they have to let you see how naive you are with your kindness and empathy. They decide to give you that ugly reality check and they do something that they regret.
You scoff and glare up at your partner with annoyance.
"Bloodmoon, it's not a big deal, really."
They don't deserve you, they know. But they are selfish because they know they want you. They're pathetic and worthless. So they grovel at your feet. Because you're their heart.
They would never let you go.

They stop. Somehow, your gentle reminder never fails to stop them from spiralling into that darkness they carry within. The darkness they've vowed to protect you from.
“I want to sit under the cherry blossoms with you. And even if you're stressed and unlikely to think of this as a good idea, I still trust you both, nonetheless.”
They tilt their head down to peer at you prudently like the sunflower drinking in all of the sun's warmth it can get before dusk. They would run to the end of the world for you, if your eyes gazed at them delicately.

most:
adronitis!aria: i mean, she did not even plan to settle down any soon let alone be a mom. she loves her daughter more than anything but she is not sure if she enjoys the whole aspect of being a mother when just a blink ago she was a student.
liberosis!shiza: she is used to working part time jobs and providing for her family — sitting at home doing nothing, not even the chores because they have maids drives her crazy.
nodus tollens!rei: same as shiza, she is used to working hard and being busy. so being a housewife took a lot of getting used to.
enouement!tanaz: she had swallow her pride and stay back home because of the stunt tae pulled, so it did affect her mentally
psychomachy!dany: i am not saying that being a chef is ANYTHING like being a housewife but this is a comparison and in comparison to the other OCs, she can at least cook for herself and her son, so that keeps her occupied.
kaiho!azumi: for her, i always visualize that she had a pretty normal life before meeting jjk, she had decent earning parents so money was never an issue and she is not used to working either for her to miss it as much as shiza, so there’s that. but she does regret not being able to work and have a normal life.
aphotic!inaya: as if she has done anything other than being a wife from 18 lol, just kidding

These are some of my favorite words, my absolute favorites have a 💛
💛Sonder - the realization that everyone else around you has their own story, as unique as your own with their own internal dialogue, discussing all sorts of things, and emotions.
💛Monachopsis - the persistent sensation of feeling out of place, like a seal on land, floundering and clumsy
Anecdoche - a conversation in which no one is really listening, rather throwing in their opinion haphazardly like a game of Scrabble, where everyone throws in a consonant, hoping to make something.
💛Elipsism - the sadness in not knowing the future, likewise the melancholy sensation that somehow you have left part of yourself in the past, stationed somewhere far behind you, and that part of you will never see the things you have now.
Altschmertz - weariness over the same problems coming up over and over in your life, resulting in you chewing over them until, like when you say a word too many times, or when you chew gum for hours, it becomes a meaningless, exhaustive chore
💛Onism - the frustration of having one body attached to your conciousness; the inability to experience all you want before you die because you only exist in one place, at one time.
Fitzcarraldo - an image that comes to you, and scratches incessantly on your brain, itching to be made a reality
Wytai - the realization that a modern product is grotesque
💛Nodus tollens - the realization that life's plot no longer makes sense to you; you find yourself remembering old times where you were too focused on tomorrow when then, at that time, you should have been enjoying life, and choosing your own adventure.
Ambedo - a melancholy trance where you become entranced with the sensory details of living; the snow softly drifting to the ground, birds chirping and singing, the pattern of people's walk, etc
Vemödalen - the frustration of photographing something the human eye finds extraordinarily beautiful, but because it is now a photo it will now be cheapened by the fact that it has already been photographed before
Kairosclerosis - the moment of realizing you are truly happy,and wanting to savor that feeling, but upon recognizing the feeling, your mind starts to analyze and pick it apart, putting it in context, subduing it's poignancy to nothing but a sweet aftertaste
Adronitis - the agonizing feeling of taking the time to get to know someone, and the frustration of charting out a foundational relationship with them.
Keyframe - a seemingly innocuous moment you thought nothing of that turned the course of your life and changed everything
💛Anemoia - a nostalgia for a time that has never been, wishing for a bygone era you have never seen, and memories you have never held, but hoping that somehow, you can be back at the place you never were.
Heartworm - a relationship/friendship you can't get out of your head, thought to have faded but still thrumming in the back of your head like an abandoned gas station
💛Hiraeth - a deep yearning for a home you cannot return to, a past that no longer exists, grieving a time you cannot return to, like returning to your old house, and realizing it is just that. A house, an ordinary living space, without the paint stains, or the smell of your mother's perfume, and all the things that made it home have moved on.
Cafune - the act of tenderly running hands through a loved ones hair
Acatalepsy - the feeling that human knowledge is ever limited and in flux, so no human knowledge is certain, rather, knowledge we acquire is probable
