#the chorus was based off this essay written by an irish guy during the potato famine called a modest proposal #it was satirising the english government and their response to the famine cause theyd been doing jack shit to help #and pretty much just demanding the same amount of food as usual be imported despite people already not having enough to eat #and so his modest proposal is mocking them being like hey if you dont have food or money try selling your children to be eaten #or even eat them yourselves if theyre not good enough to be sold!#its super interesting im a huge nerd about this lol #anyway thanks for the ask!!#raine tag #asks #ask game

How do you like your eggs?

I adore deviled eggs but they're so much effort to prepare, so for 'everyday' eggs, I like sunny side up. Whenever I make ramen I drop a whole egg in the broth & then try to eat it in one bite - ever since my beloved reminded me of real dimetrodon hours (Tumblr post) I can't eat a whole egg without thinking about it

Do you prefer to write in pen or pencil?

Pen! I just like ink I guess, I don't have a reason why I prefer it

What scent is your deodorant?

When I visited the US last summer, I got an amazing sandalwood deodorant stick. That brand doesn't ship to Germany. I'm genuinely devastated

Do you have a favorite plate or bowl?

My roommate bought two fancy looking bowls recently, with green/blue swirls in them. Gonna miss them when I move out lol

hi please give me an essay on why you like martin so much bc he seems cool but i have no clue who he is or what he does skjsgkjfkg

martin is very nice and brings tea to everyone- so much so that hang on i’ll get the transcripts

tumblr website hates me but hopefully that image is there. anyway the way jon talks about him before you meet him makes him sound like a horrible coworker and lazy and so on but he’s. very nice. jon is so mean to martin in season one :(

OH. also this video. i don’t have time to rewatch it rn so i’m paraphrasing but elias is like “oh so you’re acting out” and martin says something like “so i just stand here making tea for everyone, while everyone else gets to- have feelings.” and bdndnfk he’s so used to being there for other people, and other people are used to him being in that position, that when he isn’t people are surprised.

i don’t know he’s such an interesting character to me. very nice and polite but also conflicted. he’s been through so much stuff - prentiss, not!sasha, etc - but he still remains kind

anyway don’t take any of this for fact because i am still very uncertain of my beliefs on the characters because i haven’t finished the podcast yet </3 i’m getting there

damn The 7 Potters sounds fantastic, I want to read it so bad now ;; no pressure, though, the concept just by itself is really neat to think about! no ships might suit it better, but here some suggestions anyway: Tomarry with either the Prof!Harry or Mod!Harry for potential chaos; and perhaps DL!Harry could arrive not alone but with Ron and Hermione like some evil polycule on a vacation (they could also come after him later and confuse the hell out of everyone). also Edgelord/Therapy otp 4ever

Thank you! I’m glad people like the idea!! If a ship is going to happen, it’ll definitely not be the focus. I do like the idea of Harrymort, since I feel like the reactions of the other Harry’s would be entertaining, but I’ve also considered branching out into some ships that I haven’t written before

Actually, now that I think about it, most of the Harrys simply will not be getting a ship in this fic: the babies, Edgelord H., Dark Lord Harry, and MoD are off limits

The babies for obvious reasons I think, though Harriet might experience a crush or two at Hogwarts (at least two of the Harrys will be accompanying baby Harry when he goes to school, just to keep an eye out + other plot reasons)

Dark Lord Harry is too busy with his found family for a love interest. Also I might make him old^tm for maximum isolation, instead of just 55. Which would mean no Ron and Hermione for him unfortunately, since the way he became immortal can’t be replicated and no one wants more horcruxes around. (and now that i’ve said this, a thought has occurred to me. and the more i think about it the more i like it. perhaps he will get a ship after all)

MoD is. idk. they’re just not interested. also they barely remember to keep a physical form on a good day—they couldn’t handle a love interest

And now Edgelord! It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite Harry, but this guy is up there. If he gets a ship at all, it’ll be pretty late in the story and his development. Instead, his most important relationship will be with Dark Lord Harry. Also I’ve decided that until he picks a name he likes, the others will help him out by calling him just. every name that starts with H they can think of. part to make fun but also because they genuinely want him to find a name he’s comfortable with
