Quite honestly, i think people just dont like to acknowledge how many times i have been victimized bc it doesnt work for their narrative of the Scary Bad Trans Guy With No Regard For Others And Likes To Kick Puppies And Doesnt Know Real Pain Or Trauma
#bc otherwise yall would have to feel bad about putting me through way more additional unnecessary trauma on here#and i swear its yall who believe everything my abuser says about me. you need to tell yourself its true that i did the shit they accuse me#of and theyre just this pure uwu innocent pewson who doews no wongg umu#yall dont wanna except ive been through hell bc then you gotta accept youve put me through additional unnecessary hell that only warped my#perception worse of a community i thought i was fuckin part of and accepted in but apparently tf not#like you only have yourselves to blame for that shit. for why i hate online queer spaces now.#man it would just suck so so hard for your narrative if i was actually abused as much as i say and my abusive x was actually lying about me#bc otherwise how will you pretend trans men never ever experience any issues ever?#like i dont need to look. ik im one of the main blogs yall like to target and put on blast for transandrophobia stuff bc im super fuckin#outspoken about my shit (nevermind that yall never directly confront me). i already know thats how it is bc theres ppl on here who have a#apparently deep interest in constantly hating me and trying to find reasons im wrong. so when i say something is bad they habe to act like#its good actually somehow. and ik it all roots back to my abuser. there is literally no other reason i can think of that would mame ppl#that invested in hating me unless they believe everything my ex says. so undoubtedly theres ppl in my exs spaces who believe#transandrophobia is fake men arent oppressed ever etc etc. i digress. but ik its yall who've propped this whole shit up#ik its yall who put me on blast for this first and triwled to spread it that i was one of the Big Bad Names in the transandrophobia spaces#so ik yall use me as an example. ik you tell people i lie about everything. ik you tell people i exaggerate. ik you tell people im crazy#ik you tell ppl they cant trust me or rely on me and spread all the bs my ex says about me and even spreads their abuse toward me further#by even doing that shit. yall NEED to keep believing that im the Big Bad Trans Guy that you think i am bc otherwise your whole worldview#falls tf apart. everything you've been standing on online about how trans mascs who believe in transandrophobia are bad would fall apart.#if i am really as fuckin abused and victimized as i say. suddenly you dont get to use me as the example for Bad Transandrophobia Believer#and I KNOW thats the only reason yall choose not to listen or believe us. its LITERALLY just because you're choosing a side in a personal#relationship situation. ik it has nothing to do with politics for plenty of you. you're taking a side and shitting out reasons for why you#did after the fact.#if you really care about politics n shit you should listen to ALL THE OTHER TRANS MEN TALKING ABOUT THIS#besides using one person as your example for why you shouldnt believe people who believe this is a thing.#i mean. even aside the fucking fact that its all bs. if yall dont wanna believe me. whatever. you can get traumatized by them if you want#idefc at this point. if you actually care about politics as much as you say you gotta engage w people in good faith and uh maybe try n#listen to the SWATHES of other trans guys who also talk about this shit and thinks its real.

the thing that really gets me about desperate corporate greed lately is the fact that most of the offending services are owned by companies that literally can fix the problems at any moment but that would cut into their precious precious profits.
by enough to dethrone any of the billionaires and millionaires that own said companies? no not at all.
but they're encouraged by our system to hoard literally every single fucking penny they can, including the pennies they daydream about. they do not live in reality. they HAVE to own the world or else they're not actually a good company.
its not about making a good product its about running a good company and a "good company" in their eyes doesnt give a fuck what we experience or what we think. a "good company" makes profit year after year after year no matter what, even if the product they want to profitable has already reached it's target audience and cant really grow anymore.
And yet they should care what we think. Because there isn't actually anything stopping us from not using their services. they dont live in reality tho. idk its funny and weird and depressing lmao

so this post has been made unrebloggable now (shocker) but ive been feeling the need to address it since i saw it on my dash multiple times, so let's explore how lying on the internet works. more specifically, how blending truth, lies, and omissions to whip uninvolved people into anger works, because i think this is an excellent example and that pointing out the misinformation and the tactics used to spread it here is important, both in correcting the specific falsities but also in helping recognize similar tactics in the future.
Tumblr media
so here we have several things that are technically true: staff has been very openly shitty to trans women for a long time and them banning predstrogen is clearly part of that, there is currently a movement regarding discussing transmisandry/transandrophobia, transmisogyny and transphobes sending transphobic asks is by far nothing new, and baeddel is/was a slur. however, among all of this are half-truths, unprovable speculation, or outright lies made to make you believe these events are originating specifically from transmascs.
firstly, the transandrophobia movement has been drastically misrepresented here in the same way it has been for the whole argument, "they're just trans MRAs" has been repeated so many times now that i'm gonna be hearing it in my dreams when i'm 80. i can understand not being willing to address the nuance of that whole discourse in one post that isn't directly focused on that, i'm certainly not, but in this example it's not unwillingness to address a complicated topic, it's a deliberate misrepresentation to frame one side of the discussion as The Evil Bad Ones That Can't Be Trusted. additionally, this post IS about that discourse and is just pretending it isn't to mislead a wider audience, so refusing to address it at all beyond this brief mention is deliberately misleading people about the goals of the group because They're The Other Side Of The Discourse. "transmisogynists" is used as a buzzword here, it doesn't actually refer to Anyone Who Hates Transfemmes, it refers to Transmascs Who Discuss Transmasc-Specific Oppression Using A Word They Coined To Point Out That Queer Spaces Have A Big Problem With Masculinity and just. doesn't tell you that's what it means, relying on the structure and framing of the post to create the Transmisogynist = Transmasc association in the audience's head so op doesn't have to say it outright (and of course the implied Transmasc = Transmisogynist association that follows because creating THAT association is the Actual Point of this post). the mentions of transmascs in this post are designed to look like afterthoughts, op says "typically those who espouse transandrophobia" to make it look like they're saying there's other people they're referring to here too, but almost everything in this post draws from the transandrophobia discourse. some random cis transphobe in texas has never heard the term baeddel in their entire life much less used it in a debate about transphobia, this is an intercommunity argument through and through, but op is trying to mask the fact that they're just referring to "transmascs who disagree with me specifically" and make it look like it's part of a wider trend. and again, i'm not going to go into the nuances of transandrophobia here, but i highly recommend reading some of the theory on it by @nothorses (x) and @genderkoolaid (x) because the "theyre just trans MRAs" argument kinda just collapses under its own weight as soon as you look into it even a smidgen. i've linked a couple broad overviews there but they both discuss it frequently and in-depth, specifically nothorses has a pinned post linking to many different discussion threads that i would recommend checking out if you do want to learn more about what the actual conversation surrounding these words is.
so, after framing the movement this way, they go on to say that the reason predstrogen was banned wasn't /just/ because staff has a long and established hate boner for trans women, but because the transandrophobia movement was teaming up with TERFs to mass-report her and other transfemmes, and implies that this is part of a deliberate conspiracy between Transandrophobia Truthers™, TERFs, and staff. you'll notice that there are no, say, screenshots of transmascs saying theyre deliberately reporting her or of that they're working with TERFs, behind-the-scenes lists of people who reported a certain account, or any evidence for this beyond "she was a trans woman, they're trans men who hate trans women, she got banned, so these must be related". which i find especially funny now given that photomatt has continued melting down about this since it happened and made it pretty clear it yknow. was just part of staffs ongoing hate campaign against trans women that has been going on much longer than the transandrophobia debate? and that maybe the fact that The Literal CEO is having a personal meltdown about this might explain where that could be coming from or at least why it's been allowed to continue for so long, moreso than any individual users reporting someone could? but i digress.
who reported what account is completely unprovable as a casual user unless people directly admit they did it, so to bring it up like this begs the question of what actual reasoning they have for saying it beyond trying to tie a current display of bigotry into an unrelated discourse. that's not to say it's impossible people who discuss transandrophobia were wrongfully reporting her, because again, thats something we have no way of knowing, and the internet is a shit place so i wouldn't be surprised. but given the circumstances and the rest of the lies here, i have my doubts about this being an actual yknow. Thing That Happened rather than just another lie to make people mad at transmascs. now one could make the argument that op wasn't saying transmascs are /deliberately/ teaming up with TERFs/staff, that "teaming up" was just a poor choice of words to refer to multiple groups who happen to have the same goals in mind at the same time but aren't actually coordinating with one another, but given the deliberate misinformative slant of the rest of the post and the overall phrasing in this section, i have trouble extending that grace. regardless, however, that doesn't change that who is reporting who isn't something verifiable, so stating it here as a confirmed fact is disingenuous at the absolute best, and a lie chosen specifically because it's unprovable at worst. if op /does/ have proof that transmascs have been teaming up with TERFs to get trans women banned, not including that with this post is just uhhhhh dumb, and if op /doesn't/ have proof then Why Would You Go Around Telling People That's What Happened Unless You Were Lying To Them On Purpose With Ulterior Motives.
next, op goes on to discuss the rise of the term baeddel. now as i said before, the truth here is that it certainly was a slur and certainly can still be used as one, again the internet is a shit place so i would be a fool if i tried to say "no one is using this as a slur". however, this is once again a drastic misrepresentation of the situation. baeddel's rising use is due to certain trans women reclaiming it and aligning themselves with the original group's politics, namely that femininity is good and masculinity is bad (aka terfism 101), with the added caveat that by abandoning femininity for masculinity, transmascs are evil and betraying devine womanhood and their community by putting more Evil Manhood into the world. of course that in turn is a drastic oversimplification of their politics and i highly recommend checking out this post with an actual in-depth exploration of the history (and without my added flavor), but the important part to note here is that this is not a term transmascs just Started Using one day because they hate transfems so very much as is implied here, its use is directly tied to a group of people saying "hello, here is what i am, and here is what this word means about what i believe," so others went "ok, these specific beliefs are called this." bringing up the fact that it historically was a slur is misdirection here, when you look closer this is almost a 1 to 1 translation of TERFs crying that TERF and radfem are slurs because People Don't Like Their Politics And Therefore Them, so the name for their politics is used negatively, so therefore it's a slur. that argument just has a little more oomph behind it this time because It Was A Slur Originally. and again, that isnt to say no one is now using it as a slur, the rate of decay for online discourse is ridiculous so it being boiled down to and used as "evil transfemme" has certainly already happened, but to act like /every/ use of it is a slur is literally just a lie, when you self-identify with a term based on your shared politics with the original group then you do not get to claim everyone using that term to describe those politics is doing so exclusively to attack you. also this part is entirely speculation but given that op's url is basically just. baeddel switched around to dae bel, i would hazard a guess that they perhaps are indeed aware of the origins of its re-use? but again, that's entirely unprovable and based just on wordplay, but like. given the Everything here i wouldn't be surprised. now, there's definitely an argument to be made about calling users baeddels based just off of their politics when they don't personally self-identify with it, if that constitutes calling someone a slur and if TIRF should be used instead, but crucially, that is not the argument being made here. the argument being made is "ANY AND ALL use of this term is calling someone a slur," and that literally just Isn't The Case.
finally, to tie the whole post off, op reminds us 1) if you hear anything bad about any trans woman ever, it's probably a lie to make her look bad, and 2) if you hear anyone say anything about transandrophobia, disregard everything else they have to say because they hate trans women. not "be critical of the things you see or get sent" or "be on the lookout for things following a certain pattern," a unilateral "anything bad is probably fake and anyone who uses the bad words is probably evil." that is not something someone does if they are genuinely trying to raise awareness of an ongoing trend, that is what someone does when they want you to turn your brain off and be mad at a group no matter what they say.
so yeah, in summary, do be critical of the things you see and be on the lookout for certain patterns, because sometimes people will just Lie to you. or, sometimes people will tell you portions of the truth while leaving out crucial bits so that you'll come to the conclusion they want without anyone being able to say they lied to you without typing up a thirty paragraph long hell post. transmisogyny is absolutely a problem on this site and there are 100% valuable conversations to be had about it and its presence within the trans community, but this post is not that. this post uses real transmisogyny and the wrongful termination of a trans woman's account as set dressing to say that it was all because of evil transmascs who run the trans community behind the scenes conspiring to take out transfemmes, so you should ignore anything they have to say because All of it is secretly motivated by transmisogyny. they're never discussing transandrophobia because it's something that actually effects them, they're doing it to hurt trans women by saying they have it worse. they're never telling you about shitty things a trans woman did to spread awareness, they're lying to make her look bad, or even if it's true they're only talking about it as part of a hate campaign because she's trans, they wouldn't care otherwise. they're never using a specific term because People Use That Term For Themselves, they're calling someone a slur because they hate trans women. there's always an explanation you can think up that ties it back to transmisogyny, and op says that instead of assessing all of what someone says and the context behind it to determine if that's what's happening, you should assume transmisogyny is the answer and refuse to engage any further as soon as you see a word you've been told is bad.
this post is discourse recruitment masquerading as a public service announcement that doesn't offer you any routes to actually learn more about what's going on, it just tells you Here's What's Happening, Here's Who's Evil And Should Be Ignored, And If You Disagree You're Also Evil And Should Be Ignored. content of the actual post aside, i think anything framed that way should be taken with a MASSIVE grain of salt and this would have raised my alarm bells even if i wasn't already pretty familiar with the arguments, people who genuinely want you to know something just because it's good to know will give you options to learn more or encourage you to actually use your critical thinking to assess things, not tell you to sit down and shut up and ignore anyone who disagrees with them.
anyways i guess tldr

Okay, this is not without a point, but (screenshot):

(A post and reblog which read: Nonbinary legit means outside established gender ideas yet you racist, transmisogynist, otherwise bioessentialist assholes keep bothering amab nb people because you think theyre too masc or whatever to be nb. Hey newsflash not all nb people are androgynous-femme white stick thin transmascs with undercuts - and - We're never making it out cisheteropatriarchy without you analyzing your beliefs on who is trans or nb enough)
If you think "transmasc" is the default nonbinary person or even considered to be the default nonbinary person, perhaps you haven't unlearned your bioessentialism either. And like, sure, maybe they don't think that way and meant "afab nonbinary person" by "transmasc nonbinary person", which is itself bioessentialist as those aren't equivalent in either direction (there's plenty of amab transmasc and afab non-transmasc nonbinary people), but the specific issue they're talking about (being perceived as too masc to be nonbinary) actually very specifically prominently affects transmascs as well.
It's almost as if your sex OR gender OR presentation being perceived as too masc can cause this, and also that trans people's AGAB (especially transitioning and intersex trans' peoples AGAB) can be misread by other trans people. Like do you think that all AMAB nonbinary people face this forever, or could this perhaps have a whole lot to do with passing as binary and AMAB people who transition and pass as cis women might in fact face this less than AFAB people who transition and pass as cis men? Never mind that this affects people who are androgenous in an additive way (tits and a beard, as an example) rather than a subtractive way (neither masc nor femme characteristics).
I'd also wonder about how they seem to be conflating "nonbinary" with "nontransitioning" in the way they describe the theoretical standard "femme androgenous transmasc" nonbinary person and think that AMAB nonbinary experiences are somehow universal.
Like, newsflash, anyone who appears masc enough gets hit with the essentialist (bio AND gender) antimasculinity that is such a problem in the queer community. Anyone who appears femme enough typically doesn't, though there are always exceptions. This includes presentation, perceived sex, and perceived gender. Butch trans people in general also face this regardless of gender.
Also this is bothering me especially so. AFAB≠transmasc. AMAB≠transfem. AFAB transfems and AMAB transmascs exist. Nonbinary people who aren't transfem OR transmasc, or who are both, exist. Transmasc/transfem as a new binary just excludes the majority of nonbinary people, because not all nonbinary people are "masc" or "femme" and in fact that's kinda the whole point of nonbinary as a gender category, not JUST that most nonbinary people aren't "men" (only*) or "women" (only*)
*because multigender people who experience binary genders are also just as nonbinary as any other nonbinary person
But (screenshot):
Tumblr media
(A comment marked as by the original poster which reads: Transandrophobia believers don't rb this btw. heart emoji I'm late but whatever)
Ah, right, you haven't unlearned your bioessentialism. You seem to think only AMAB nonbinary people face exorsexism, or perhaps you don't even understand that exorsexism is a specific type of transphobia to nonbinary people and think AFAB nonbinary people "only" face transphobia. And I shudder to imagine your opinions on intersex trans people in general.
"Transandrophobia believers" like sorry not sorry I actually believe that transmascs face specific targeted transphobia and that transfems aren't the most oppressed, and also that all trans people can experience any type of specific transphobia and that bigots who famously don't respect trans people's internal identity and infamously can't "always tell" don't choose to be bigoted based on either your ontological identity or your physical sex. It's almost like I base my understanding of oppression on actual material experience and not just what I want to be true so I can pretend I'm punching up at vulnerable people in my community
Also wtf (screenshot):
Tumblr media
(A comment marked as by the original poster which reads: Proshippers also don't rb i fucking hate you all)
Like not surprised this person has dogshit views lacking any critical analysis whatsoever but honey sweetie baby pie this is just sad
Anyway take your own advice and analyze your own beliefs on who is trans or nonbinary enough and also unlearn your own bioessentialism because simply saying "only AMAB trans people face more than basic transphobia and are the most oppressed" is bog standard gender essentialism and bioessentialism, and in fact treating all AMAB trans people as transfem or transfem adjacent is WILDLY exorsexist and misgendering a WHOLE lot of nonbinary people

Cole wasnt “changed” to be gay. He never was STRAIGHT in the first place.
and hell- whi says he’s strictly gay now? Cole could like girls as well for all we know 🤷‍♀️ uk like, be a Bi king or smth.
The thing is, just like people are used to seeing characters from books as white as a default until stated otherwise, just because they’re so used to it, this happens with straightness as well.
People are will BEG and SWEAR that a character is straight just because they were never outright stated to be otherwise. And emphasis on “outright stated” because even when there is coding, hinting or just blatant portrayal of it, people will still deny that that certain character is queer because it’s not like they canonically turned to the camera and told the audience that “I AM NOT STRAIGHT.”
But to them, even if the character rarely showed any interest in the opposite gender or ever really talked ab their attraction, the character is just automatically straight. It’s just inherent. Of course they’re straight.
And you know what? Even if the character does, who said Bi people don’t exist? I have a lot of Bi friends and a family member that either are bi or are dating a bi person, and their attraction towards the opposite gender has never invalidated their attraction towards the same if gender non-conforming.
And even then, a lot of gay men or lesbians have struggled with comp-het in the past, reuniting them in having tried to date or even marry people from the opposite gender only to then realize they never truly were straight, and were just compulsively trying to conform or believe that they are straight because again, straightness has always been seen as the status quo. As the normal thing to be. The default.
And this isn’t me saying that “the writers were writing Cole as a dude with comp-het this whole time” or smth because I don’t know that. And while I could theorize that I don’t think the writers really were thinking about implementing compulsive heterosexuality into this silly Lego show.
But just like I can’t assure that Cole canonically has suffered from comp-het or that he is gay and not Bi or hell he could be asexual or smth while being gay WHO KNOWS-but just like we can’t exactly assure that he is exactly one of those labels, people cannot come here and act like Cole was ever REALLY canonically straight. Hell. You could even say None of the characters of the show are STRAIGHT because who said they were? You can def interpret them as straight! But why do people insist on acting as if portraying Cole as having a male character a romantic interest as them CHANGING him as if he really ever WAS straight?
No one acts that when a character is straight that it was a huge betrayal or smth because the character was “OBVIOUSLY” gay by default. No. People just see it as normal and move on because that has always been the status quo.
Because this is a heteronormative society as much as people try to act as if making a character gay is “appealing to the world and the general public” as if straight people are suddenly oppressed. Hetero friends of mine or my family will always automatically assume I’m straight because that’s the norm to them. People will always assume someone it het or cis unless outright stated otherwise.
And if you can’t tell what’s wrong with that…
And you know what? Get all pissed off about it. Complain. Make petition for “saving your boy Cole” (save him from what exactly? It’s not like Christianity exists in Ninjago so yall can scratch hell out of the list at least) the season was made. The character of Geo was made. The scenes where Geo fantasized about Cole being awesome and handsome were made. Scenes where Cole and geo talk about needing each other were made. Scenes where geo and Cole hold hands and look at each other all lovey dovey were made. None of that bigoted complaining is going to change that. Theyre not going back and deleting those scenes and they’re not suddenly gonna write Geo and Cole in completely different way from what they were written before. Womp. WOMP.

[gasps] number 10 you had me at steddissy!!
Fun Facts about Patchworks, it and Chokechain where the two fics I was like "I'm not gonna post these until theyre complete theyre so close!!" and then posted parts of anyway lmao. Patchworks ended up needing a bit more than Chokechain did to finish it out but she's close.
This one also hasn't gotten The Red Pen of death Editing yet.
Snippet:
"I can't fucking belive this." Robin hisses, and Steve just sighs.
"How are you still mad?"
"How!? How could I be mad that after struggling with my sexuality; fighting it with tears and--and constant doubt for years, you just threw up once and that was it!"
She drops her voice as deep as it'll go, mocking Steve's own. "Guess I'm queer now, let me get my coffee."
"That's a horrible impression of me."
"Accurate you mean." Robin mutters darkly. "For the record I don't think you're fine by the way, I think you're repressing it."
"I'm not repressing anything Robin, I told you I'm comfortable liking both."
"Not the queerness, dingus, the reaction to the queerness!"
"I think you're just mad I'm better at being gay than you."
Robin gapes, mouth swimming through the movements without a sound.
Oh, he's really pissed her off, and Steve delights in that too, in a way only siblings and soulmates can.
"Better than me!?" She finally sputters, and Steve settles his hip against the counter, hands crossing smugly over his chest.
"Yes."
"You--you!" Robin's shaking a finger at him, and if steam could have come from her ears they would have.
Steve doesn't fight his grin.
"Talking," she says finally, slamming a stack of VHS's on the counter opposite him, and God is he thankful that Family Video is dead for this conversation, "is one thing. Let's see you actually back it up, hotshot.”
"By what? Hanging out with Munson?" Steve challenges back.
"Yes." Robin spits immediately. "We've all seen how you flirt. I want to see you put all those terrible flirting skills that we know don't work outside of high-school to the test!"
"I told you Robin, I was bombing on purpose at Scoops." He warns, as he warms up to the challenge.
Hanging out with Eddie will be easy.
Sprinkling a little light flirting on top?
A total cakewalk.
"I don't believe you." Robin says with narrowed eyes.
"Just watch." Steve tells her smugly.
The nice thing about it all?
Steve barely has to wait a few hours before he can prove himself right.
Eddie trots in as if the universe had given him his cue, coming up to the counter with one of his wilder grins.
"Minion!" He crows, and Steve rolls his eyes in response.
"Munson." He greets back, but makes sure to lean across the counter, curling his body towards Eddie.
Predictably, Eddie gets right up in his face.
"How goes the droll and drab life of retail?"
"Not terrible." Steve catches Robin's eye, and has to suppress any hint of smugness.
'Celebrate after you make the play!' Steve thinks in his coach's voice, and he settle himself in for the game.
"Say Eds," he says, and watches the way the nickname grabs the older teens attention, "you still selling weed?"
"Not to your freshman, I do keep my promises." A palm goes over Eddie's heart, face full of roughish charm.
Hook.
"Nah I was thinking for myself. My parents are home for the month and they're driving me up a tree."
A truth, though given they were close to their next departure their attention was off Steve and onto more important things.
Like getting into the right hair salon, or making sure they rubbed shoulders with this or that person.
"Think we could smoke at your place?" Steve dips even closer into Eddie's space, delights at how wide those doe eyes of his can grow. "I'm happy to pay."
Line.
"Sure, absolutely, uh, man." Eddie says, and Steve doesn't hold back the grin as he watches him fumble.
"Thanks." He beams, before reaching out to pretend to brush something off of Eddie's jacket. "You're a lifesaver."
"Sure am!" Eddie outright squeaks, and over his shoulder Steve can see Robin gawk at the two of them.
"Certified life guard Eddie, that's me!"
"Oh," Steve grins. "Certified. You'll have to show me how to do CPR sometime."
"Yeah, Eddie says, before abruptly wrenching himself out of Steve's space, face fire engine red. "I can show you when we uh, hang out. To smoke. What uh, day do you...?"
His voice goes higher in question, and Steve gives him his best slow 'I'm charmed' smile.
"Tonight? After work?”
"Tonight!" Eddie says, before he starts dancing back, waving finger guns at Steve. "My place! Be there or be square!"
"Well I'd hate to be square." Steve replies, giving a lazy wave as Eddie crashes backwards into the door, spins around with a curse and half falls, half tumbles his way out.
Sinker.
Steve turns a victorious look on Robin.
"He didn't even rent a movie." He preens, while Robin tracks the absolute disaster that is Eddie trying to drive his van away.
"Oh my God." She says, wide eyes meeting his too smug ones. "I'd say that was smooth but that was the farthest thing from it."
"Hey, I was smooth. We're only judging me, not my dance partners." He counters.
"Oh? Certified?" Robin mocks him once again, clenching her hands under his chin before dropping them in disgust. "I can't believe that worked, everyone knows you were a lifeguard for years!"
"I'm just that charming."
"More like Eddie's that far gone." She says with a dismissive snort. "He has it bad for you.”
"I dunno," Steve drawls, resting his chin on the back of his hand. "You're just as bad the second you think a girls flirting with you."
The offended gasp Robin lets out has Steve cackling immediately.
"You take that back!" She howls, winging a wet rag at him.
Steve jumps back, still laughing.
"Steven Harrington you take that back!"
"I promised not to tell lies Rob," He gasps, as she whips the towel at him again.
He reaches out a hand, catching the towel easily. “I can’t take it back!”
Robin shrieks, and soon enough they're both laughing and wrestling over the towel, all thoughts of the weird dance Steve, Eddie and Chrissy were doing, forgotten.

listen if you go into g3 thinking it will be just like more episodes of g1 youre gonna be very disappointed. like yeah if I had to choose between them Id choose g1 as it cant be beat, but g3 has its own unique charm and is really good if you accept that the g3 cast isnt gonna be a carbon copy of the g1 cast. they arent meant to be! theyre new takes on their character, by definition, a new generation. yes I still have criticisms for it but also it did a lot of stuff better!
first off, a trans character IN a queer relationship. Ive always related to frankie but gen 3 especially does them so well and no matter what you say them and cleo's relationship is adorable. also I see a lot of you treat them like just a girl who uses they/them pronouns (or ignore that theyre non-binary at all) just because they dress femininely, and I am judging you. their relationship is trixic, not sapphic, and frankie is unlabeled and cleo is bi so theyre not lesbians either. frankie is not your theythem girl or theyfab or whatever. grow up. deuce is also theorized to be trans or intersex and is also canonically aromantic and I fucking love that as well. "b-but my nostalgia abt cleo and deuce" Im still nostalgic about them too and it was nice seeing the "mean girl" and her boyfriend have a healthy relationship but again this is a different take on their character, and I can happily say I could see their g1 versions identify this way as well if mattel wasnt such a coward back then.
next, lagoona. Ill be honest I was one of the biggest haters of g3 lagoona at first, pink skin, vsco girl ass fashion, "this aint my lagoona, she's way less edgier than the others AND g1" Id say, but she really grew on me, and as someone who frequently rewatches g1 as well, I notice she is a LOT more well developed than her g1 counterpart. g3 is fierce and is afraid of no longer being seen as such due to also having "cutesy" interests, and loves graphic novels and sometimes sees them as more true than real life. she also has anxiety and copes with them in an unappealing fashion (chewing). she makes up for her lack of edgy looks with her edgy personality. meanwhile g1 is just.... aussie and loves her boyfriend. g3 is still very sporty and cares for her friends (and crush) a lot, but now has personality past that, she can even find fault in her crush while still loving him, while g1 lagoona just saw gill as the perfect incarnate. g3 just overall, has more fleshed out monsters than g1.
more about deuce, I see a lot of people headcanon him as trans and I love that, but I personally believe he may be intersex. "but both of his parents and his sisters are female, there is no y chromosome in their heritage so how could he develop a y chromosome or testosterone" you may ask, but worry not for I have a biology special interest and am more than willing to explain! deuce's parents are a harpy (bird monster) and a gorgon(snake monster), and both birds and snakes are known to have NOT X and Y chromosomes to determine sex, but Z and W, and it works the other way around! meaning the offspring with zw chromosomes will be female while the offspring with zz chromosomes will be male! and due to deuce being out of the sex norms of both harpies and gorgons (having no males), he is considered intersex! again, I have nothing about his trans headcanons, but him being intersex makes more sense to me. and I LOVE it if thats the intention.
either way, even if I have my criticisms, I love g3, yes its not comparable to g1 but theyre different series!

richie headcanons because by GOD do i love this
Tumblr media
appearance
• richie is TALL. lanky mf. he was shorter that pete in middle school and then shot up to 6’3 in highschool.
• richie constantly dyes his hair. paul hates it, mainly because of the mess he makes of it. its partially a stress thing partially him wanting to make it gleamingly obvious that hes queer.
• has like an Okay sense of fashion, mainly thanks to ruth. he took the idea of layering stuff and RAN with it.
• always has a shit ton of pins and badges, some anime themed, some themed with other stuff.
• paints his nails sometimes. he tried nail art and it turned out shit but he liked it anyways.
personality
• this. man. is. a. BITCH. if max wasn’t the coolest guy in school richie would be such a cunt to him. well, more than he already is “i didnt mean to walk through YOUR hallway 😒”
• very blunt, he will tell his friends what he believes without sugar-coating it.
• richie is his friends number one hype man if he actually believes in them. in the audience of every school show screaming at the top of his lungs when the tech crew get thanked.
general
• gay, trans man. he/him pronouns user

relationships
• paul is his uncle, emma is basically his cool wine aunt. she helps him dye his hair most of the time, and they gossip together.
• him and ruth are basically brother and sister, attatched at the hip, basically have twin telepathy. richie is the ultimate wingman.
• had a crush on pete in middle school that he got over. he still hasnt told pete about it.
• stephanie: kys
richie: you first whore
stephanie: do u want chilis
richie: yes
• (no one dies/everyone lives au) max and him have a frenemy type thing going on. after max DIDNT fall at waylon place, richie saw that max was less god more human, and felt more comfortable arguing back with max. they both prefer this, it makes class more fun.
• once made grace cry with the shit he said about his anime crushes in a groupchat
richie: i wanna #### him and ### his ####
grace: I hope I get to watch God offer you His divine judgement when you reach the gates of hell so I can laugh as you are banished from the Kingdom of Heaven.

Read over what was going on with anon asks and your posts, and tbh, if you are 16 and you are reaching this kind of critical thinking and actively trying to better yourself through meaningful debates and convos, you are doing god's fucking work from early. I couldn't even begin to form the kind of arguments you are articulating at your age in your posts, so fucking kudos.
I have a similar opinion of sexism being bad no matter the form it takes, patriarchy affects everyone because it imposes roles on everyone, not only women. Breaking those roles on all sides and genders should be the ultimate goal, not try to benefit from the system to become the oppressor.
In any case dude, good luck with the unavoidable influx of people who will misinterpret your posts. Also, your art is hella cool!
i think that alot of ppl just have a rlly hard time like, getting over the gut response to defend themselves when they recieve some kind of serious critisism, like, i think ppl understand on some level that sexism as a concept is stupid, but it can be hard to fully see all the nuances it takes and like, actually recognize it when its subtler
sexism is bad and when i point out that alot of you guys believe ideas that are like, really sexist then thats like, im assuming none of you are like "YEAA SEXISM RUELZZZ!!!! I HATE PEOPLE BASED ON THIER GENDOR" and u rlly rlly dont wanna be lumped into that group
its rlly normal to not wanna be mischaracterized and if you dont self identify as sexist then when someone points out sexist retoric it feels like an unfair and reductive veiw of u
and its like, you really really really need to work past that, im talking abt this stuff because i want ppl to change and be better and if you want that for yourself u have to like rlly chew on these kinds of things
i think what alot of people have issues with is like, relatability in artwork, like "of course im gonna like art with queer women in it more and find it more valueble if im a queer woman" but i think that this points to a really rigid and uphelpful veiw of gender
ive discussed before that, because the mind numbing ammount of biological differences people have theres no actual objective definition of sex or gender, its socially constructed and entirely arbitrary and subjective
i think that labels for sexuality and gender are useful shorthand in our current society though ideally we wouldnt need them, but you need to remember that these things arent rigid
butch lesbian is not a definable group, gay man is not a definable group, they are arbitrary words that mean something different for literally every different person
likewise acting like those meaningless labels somehow make some artwork more or less valueble just points to a bias against people with a certain label
like, the labels dont mean anything they shouldnt change your veiw of a work, if you resonate with a peice of work why does it matter what label is put on it? why does that affect your veiw on the peice?
and yes you are objectively going to relate to some experiences more then others, but i dont think relatability should effect how you value the work, infact id argue seeing perspectives different then your own is incredibly incredibly valueble and, if your disregarding (even subconciously) certain things because theyre made by men then that not only hurts men but it hurts you, it isolates you
maybe i didnt word that perfectly im not always the most articulate but like, i think most of the issues people are having with this are coming from me articulating things maybe not as intuatively as i could or from people refusing to properly engadge with what i have to say
idk, regarding the people accusing me of transmysogeny i just wanna say that like, I AM NOT ALLERGIC TO TALKING TO YOU ABT THIS!! i want to be better and i dont want to be mysogenistic! and if you do see concerning behavior in me i want to be told of it, you keeping these kinds of things to yourself or refusing to engadge with me when i actively am trying to be like, thourough and nuanced about things is just kinda, not productive

hear me out (again)
I may or may not have finished hazbin hotel over the weekend :D.
and i got to thinking (which is never a good sign)
What if exorcist reader! goes down to hell to settle some unfinished business (hiding the fact that they are in fact very much alive) and bumps into charlie!
Charlie, who drags them back to the hotel, and lets them stay there (not knowing who they are).
I think it would go something like this:
Alastor: Charlie, who is this *eyes narrowing*
Charlie: This is one of our newest patrons, Y/n
Y/n, vaggie, charlie, alastor, angel: What?!
y/n: Listen, i didnt agree to this! I have someone who I'm looking for and then I'm leaving
Charlie: Then you can stay here while you look for them!
Y/n, and co: ...
Charlie: and we can help you to reform so that you can go to heaven!
Y/n: *snorts* yea no.
------------------------------------------------------------
And eventually they get convinced, but are hell bent on finding this demon who theyre looking for.
Which gets everyone's attention (ie. Alastor, Angel, husk, etc.), but they don't really notice anything too strange about it, after all they are in hell and people wanting revenge isnt too strange.
The thing that gets everyone's attention is when Lucifer comes to visit, and while he's there y/n comes back from searching, and the two of them have a stare down.
y/n's thoughts: oh shit, does he recognize me?????
lucifer: theyre pretty!
And when lucifer begins to visit more (another love interest :D), y/n begins to avoid them more the truth comes out, and everyone is in shock.
But surprisingly its taken pretty well, and everyone acts mostly the same (just more gentle).
and the end can go one of two ways:
They die and go to hell (being damned there for killing so many demons), OR they just stay there and the ending is left ambiguous!
Also:
I personally see alastor as someone who doesnt really understand the appeal of sex (as we've seen with his reactions to angel).
I will probably have a bit of romance with him (more as companionship though, as to not take away from his identity).
the bit of romance would likely be jokingly flirting or something (or just alastor being nicer than normal and people taking it out of proportion)
As someone who is somewhere on the acespec. I dont want to take away from the little bit of representation we get, but I do want to show that acespec people can have companionship (I believe the official term is: Queer platonic relationship)
I'm not sure if I'll do this, but I just had to get it off of my chest :D

this is not a vagueblog at any wyll warriors, as i know the subject of parental abuse is very heavy, and i believe everyone has the right to their own opinions and experiences with fiction, BUT. in my opinion, for me, personally.
its ok to scold ur kid. in fact, scolding ur kid and teaching them right from wrong can be important. this is medieval times, baldurs gate is a dangerous place. even tho ulder was a busy man—and single fathers? are still allowed to have jobs and hobbies and their own goals? beyond simply taking care of their children 24/7? he still DID make time for wyll, and rheres a whole JOURNAL full of their memories together. its not just ine memory. theres pages and pages of it. they spent time together.
there are THOUSANDS of flaming fists. all under ulder’s control. theyre corrupt, a lot of them, are lawful evil, and a lot of them are dumbasses like the dude we saw harassing the sex worker in the carress. they odten switch sides to the guild, ulders sworn enemy, at the drop of a coin purse.
i, personally, as a father, would choose wyll. but thats not an easy choice. being a parent is hard. we’ll never know what ulder would have done if he had known the truth about mizora—but also, ulder fights valiantly in lturel when it is taken to the hells, and he stays behind to help the refugees. he was misled, he was tricked.
even if he wasnt, he has a responsibility to this city. he chose this, his whole life. hes not the perfect father, or the perfect man. there is no way to be a perfect father, or a perfect man. (u still shouldnt disown ur kid. but stories are ultimately about bad choices.)
but he loved wylls sense of adventure and fantasy, and he encouraged it. baldurs gate is a dangerous place where u can literally get stabbed all the time and upper city nobles can only really be in the lower city with guards like karlach. but wyll has happy memories, of being a rambunctious child, where he was safe, and close with his father, and loved.
wylls sense of whimsy literally comes from ulder! never forget the monster mermaid sex book was ulders! never forget that ulder fell in love with the woman with the wishing tree, he believed in balduran, and baldurs gate, and the heart of the gate
wyll and ulder’s story is bittersweet. love is hard. family is hard. if it was easy, if everyone was perfect, we’d all be robots.
wyll doesnt HAVE to forgive his father. but he loves him. there will always be great expectations from his father, there will always be distance. they are not connected at the soul or the hip.
but their love for each other matters, and they are so willing to try.
theyre a precious family, and tbh!!! really good representation?, a young Black queer dude and his dad, who loves him and supports him, and he is told he is allowed to marry whoever he wants and be whoever he wants to be with ulder’s blessing. (theyre torn apart by abuse, he experiences teen homelessness, but thats bc of his abuser isolating him. n he doesnt have to forgive his father for that. being disowned is also a real representation experience, and its one that can map on to queer/Black/disabled teen experiences, and i would never like, go. You Must Forgive Ulder And Think He’s The Best. but its really not ulder’s fault,p this happened, he really thought wyll sold out this city, he didnt know.)
like. they love each other, they get to have some of the best and most poetic, well-written dialogue in the game, it matters that they love each other, it matters that ulder had to work so hard to be grand duke and still had to make so many sacrifices
ulder is a good character in murder in baldur’s gate, but he is given so much heart, so much intimate joy and love in baldur’s gate 3. like compare any codex entry in the game to his journal entry about wyll. compare wyll’s voice when he says, “my father always said” to anyone talking about their abusers.
wyll was allowed to be a child! he was also respected as someone capable of having responsibilities and accountability for their own actions, and so sometimes he was scolded. he seems to love that he was scolded? tbh, it feels like such a love language between them. wyll gets into trouble (on purpose. why would he steal a peach. just pay for the peach.) he gets a scolding! kids do that, parents do that.
we dont know, even, what that scolding meant—and may i remind The Court, wyll was a public figure, just as his father was, and he was still allowed to have so much freedom to get into trouble. he gets a scolding, but thats it. he doesnt even really talk about any fancy upper city stuff, besides like, puke in duke portyr’s bushes, lol and that was grand duke of baldurs gate at the time. u need a lil scolding for that! and whose to say there wasnt a pat on the head or a squeeze on the shoulder afterwards?
ulder expects certain behaviors from wyll because he wants the best for him, because he believes in him.
hes the pride of the gate. he has pride in his son, and if u are proud of urself, if u love urself, u respect iurself and other ppl.
wyll had a happy childhood yall, and ulder raised him right, to have good morals and values a sense of duty and responsibility and JOY, it didnt pop out of a vacuum
also. it does matter that ulder goes. “my precious son, i will spend the rest of my life trying to make this up to u. how can u ever forgive me?” he doesnt EXPECT forgiveness. he KNOWS he hasn’t earned it. he WANTS to atone. he knows he made a mistake and did something unforgivable. even tho he did it for very reasonable reasons
wyll doesnt have to forgive him! but like. its complex. its a good ass story. wyll has a good ass story

sparklecare fans on twitter whining about the post nut clarity joke uni made is so funny because they refuse to talk about the many other blatant issues such as
barruni being a poorly written ship; barry is practically verbally abusive towards uni, uni lovebombs him regardless, and the reader is basically forced to enjoy the ship
the nurses that murder and torture patients being infantilized and treated like theyre innocent just because theyre queer, implied to be neurodivergent, or because cuddles is portrayed as the only "real" villain in the entire story; apparently the whole reason the comic even got rebooted was because they thought making the staff evil was "bad representation", but in all honesty queer people can be just as shitty as cishets, like have you seen dahmer?
pollys disability (which was poorly written to begin with, being constantly cold is nowhere near being unable to fucking walk) being erased in the au's
literally everyone having the same skinny body type except for the ones that are meant to be hated (cuddles, that one social worker from v3) with very few exceptions (side characters that are irrelevant 99% of the time)
an alarming disregard towards gay male rep; barruni and carlsly being initially advertised as mlm ships only for the clowns to abruptly make uni and sly closeted transhets (which by the way, heavily leans into the homophobic and transphobic stereotype that "gay guys are all just secretly trans"/vice versa), and the very few actually mlm characters (mel cyn and orange) being almost nonexistant until the writers run out of ideas and decide to slap them into the page like subway surfers gameplay
aroace erasure; uni, despite being aegosexual, is constantly shoved into sexual scenarios as a "joke", and hemera, the only aromantic character in the entire comic so far, is paired with at least four other characters in the cometcare au
but i guess we just dont question anything since the comic was originally based on kittycorns medical trauma, and criticizing it would be "disrespectful" to what kit went through, which seems fair. but if thats the case, why are we defending all of the hospital staff? wouldnt they be based on the real life medical abusers that hurt kit? that sounds hypocritical in my honest opinion.
do not harass the creators of the comic, obviously. sparklecare hospital actually means a lot to me as it helped me during a rough spot which im still in at the moment. and thats why i feel the need to bring these issues to light, im seeing a lot of wasted energy and poor creative decisions that are tainting what i believe has potential to be one of the best webcomics ever.
