He stared at you confused and blank; you rolled your eyes, “It means you should be like him…never mind. I’ll see you later.” You said, putting your copy of the receipt in the cash drawer.

Then he lazily raised his head to you look at you, “Oh no I forgot to tell you I’m going to see a game with the guys tonight. I won’t see you until this weekend.”

yayy more questions! okay i'll start with 13 because it's simpler:

13.Any segment of your work that made you cry while writing it? (because it moved you deeply)

so. i cry easily. but i don't tend to cry while writing, i think? i don't have the greatest memory, so i can't be sure. i remember one time i cried while writing hmtb, but it wasn't because i was moved deeply jcnbjk (it was actually a mellow scene and i just. unexpectedly triggered an unpleasant memory, oops.)

in a way, i think it's easier to get emotional while working on RPs, actually. i might've cried at those in the past, mmh.

now, if you asked me when did i get anxious while writing. that's a whole another thing. i do deal with a lot of heavy emotions in writing, and, yeah. anyway, the answer is yesterday. (hmtb grian is doing perfectly well wdym-) (i had to stop writing after 8 sentences and take a break everything's fine-)

12.Funniest comment you've ever gotten in a piece of work?

this is a fun one! i don't think i have a favourite, i'm not the best with putting things on a scale and deciding that's the most this or that. add my bad memory into the mix, and about a year of writing a multichapter fic, and- well. but! i dug through and made a small collection of comments that amuse me! On a bit of a tier list kick and realised “goddamn I’ve played a lot of different Mario Kart games recently” so decided to rank them :D

Notes below:

Idc what anyone says Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the most fun I’ve had playing any of these. “But it’s so much easier” “but the booster course is just a cash grab” I don’t care!! I enjoy it!! There so many tracks to choose from and all of their soundtracks are so goddamn good!! Plus the booster course is slowly improving the character roster which is amazing!! I know it’s the old “new=good” thing but this time it’s true I’m sorry

On the other hand, Mario Kart Wii. I’m nostalgic I’m sorry but can you really blame me when this game literally ruled my childhood from ages 5-10? So many cool and iconic nitro tracks and the best character roster in the whole series. I’d love to play it again if my wii remotes weren’t broken

Okay so I didn’t remember all that much about Mario Kart DS. I knew I had it when I was a kid but other than a few courses I had mostly forgotten about the game, but I bought it second hand the other day and omg. This game slaps. It’s so fucking fun and I can’t believe I forgot about it. Straight to top A tier

Mario Kart 7 is also probably a nostalgia based pick tbh but it was the game that actually made me play Mario Kart properly. I learned to drift in MK7 and overall appreciated the competitive side of the series a lot more. Also it has my all time favourite track, Melody Motorway :) (or Music Park for Americans)

Honestly the only reason I enjoyed Mario Kart 64 as much as I did was because it’s so fucking chaotic and brutal to the point where it’s funny. Drifted too far? Approached the jump awkwardly? Oops you’re now facing backwards and in last place! Some of the courses are ridiculously long *cough* Rainbow Road which lowers it

Probably a bit controversial but I do enjoy Tour. I haven’t played in over a year but late 2021 - mid 2022 I played it to DEATH because one of my irls got me back into it and coincidentally this was a pretty rough period in my life, so I do owe it one for keeping me stable. Kinda sucked that they got rid of the gatcha feature though :(

Mario Kart Super Circuit is really tricky for me but I really like the graphics. That’s probably it’s only saving grace lmao. Maybe I just find the GBA era of pixel graphics to be endearing idk. It has the same level of brutality as N64 but nowhere near as fun

I have played the arcade game a few times in amusements and it is fun :) that’s it. I don’t play it enough to actually have a proper opinion.

Og Mario Kart is very annoying and the tracks and boring. If I see their asses as a retro track I am not happy >:(

Never owned a Wii U so I never played the og Mario Kart 8 but all I know is that MK8D vastly improved on a lot of its flaws over the years so ultimately it is just better. Also I desperately want to play Double Dash (please add GameCube games to the switch Nintendo holy shit) and I would rank it high because all the tracks that have been turned into retro tracks are so so fun.

OOOOO what a doozie.

Japan is killing it these days, some GREAT stuff. It’s like they woke up in 2021 and were all ... “wait a minute, we started this, let’s show ‘em how it’s done, boys!” AND THEY HAVE.

I’m nothing if not made loyal (Seven Days is my one true love).

And when Japan is good it is really really good and when Japan is bad, it is sexy. But when Japan is really bad it is kissless or cockless, and that’s a rollercoaster that makes me scream.

Japan just can’t be depended upon. Good for flings only. (Here’s me being silly about this: If You Dated BL)

Korean BL is the most consistent, good production, great casting, and decent story (high concept for the win). It tends to earn over 7/10s from me, and also occupies the most 10/10 spots on my list.

But the lack of high heat and any kind of queer rep makes me sad, and the treatments are, without question, too goddamn short. It’s past time they started giving us full length Kdramas.

Taiwan is all over the place but for pairings and acting they tend to win hands down.

They are the most queer friendly and have the most consistent chemistry, and if they only made MORE with better high concept stories, they'd be top of my list.

But Thailand, they tend to produce the most and I have grown to really love the language.

So if you FORCED me to choose, I’d probubly go back to my original obsession and chose them on the basis of quantity and range of offering, general rewatchability and those stellar kisses. We all got spoiled by Thai kissing.

Family Fun

So, the Sim parents in this town held a protest down at the Civic Center, whining that there were no family-friendly places to take their cookie-crunchers. I’m still building them a Red-Light district, which seems dang “friendly” to me, but apparently, they don’t agree. So, today I gave them not 1 but 4 - that’s right, 4 - places to take their brats. 1 of them was that sports field over by the movie studio. When you open this town, it’s just a deco field, set up to look like a soccer field. So, generous Sim-goddess that I am, I slapped down some of those soccer nets so they can now actually use it. And since I have that Jogging mod in my game, I also plunked down the markers, so my lazy Sims can run around the perimeter of the field. And viola! Done!

There’s also a small park over in that same area, that I upgraded. Just added some junk for them to do. Since I forgot to take pictures - and my game crashed just as I finished saving - I’ll take some next time.

Then, in what is known as the Canal area - not sure if it’s in the original town, or if Rflong7 added it - I gave the little crybabies a family rec center and an indoor basketball court. (I can’t believe I’m so nice!) Anyway, the original build for the rec center came from My Sim Realty - I just made it bigger. On the lower level, I added 2 more bowling lanes and switched out the roller-skating rink for the ice one. I did that because over on my Art Museum lot, I used Sandy’s invisible roller-skating object, so my Sims can skate on the sidewalks, as Sims were meant to, EA! Upstairs, I re-arranged things a bit, since I now had more room and gave them a pool-table along with the stuff that was there. I also gave them an arcade room. Then I did some deco on the outside. And noticed it was nighttime! (More about that in a bit).

Across the street I placed this lot that I’m almost positive was created by Wimmie over on TSR. I immediately liked it - mainly because of the wall images she created and the indoor court by Severinka. (It looks pretty; day or night!)

Like I said, I really liked the CC created for this lot, so other than switching out the blah flooring for that Sims 1 conversion @grandelama created, and adding more sports paraphernalia, I pretty much left this one as it was. Well, I did add some outside deco and used those “public” showers in the locker rooms that came with that store gym, but whatever.

Then I noticed it was night. And OMG! I love this town at night! So, I took some random shots.

This is actually uphill from where I was working. As you can see, I switched out that Late Night stadium for the one from Showtime - mostly because it looks better, but also because my Sims can perform there. A win-win!

And here’s a shot looking downtown. This is such a pretty city. Too bad EA screwed up the original’s routing. But Rflong7 supposedly “fixed” it in this version, so we’ll see.

I am about to rant but ain’t no way people are simping for Buggy💀 huh? I don’t get it mf is a clown bro. But Zoro tho🤭 he sooo handsome. I also really like Sanji British accent like omggg🙈 and Ussops smile is so pretty🥹 Nami is also very pretty like, I love her eyes. And then we got the man Luffyyyy, the actor in my opinion portrayed Luffy really well I also liked his accent😁 But the shoes were lowkey weird to me like mf gonna go tap dancing. Also his grandpa??? I was questioning him Lmaoo. Tbh my fav probably has to be Coby idk like he caught my attention more but I was so shocked I even gasped when he took that shoot with mr haircut( I forgot his name) . Also I was caught of guard when they showed Zoro slashing Mr. 7 in half and then mf literally like put his cut upper body in a bag and dragged that to a bar💀 I squealed sm when Kaya kissed Ussop and how he cared sm for Kayaaaa awww. I actually had tears in me eyes when they showed Namis step mom? Being killed in front of Nami and Nojiko, it was so sad I feel really bad for them. OMG and then Ussops mom dying too when He was talking to her😭 I was kinda sad when they didn’t add the three little kids that were with Ussop in the anime and showed more of Paty. Ima probably rewatch it soon and talk more about each episode more detailed. Brooo I also need to catch up on the anime💀I hope there is a season 2 of the live action, they’re better be🤨

Yesterday I stayed up until the show was out and just watched the first episode then I had to sleep because of school😭 I can’t believe there was 8 episodes.

Question (but no worries if you can’t answer for spoiler reasons): Is the physician who treated Damen after the flogging meant to be Paschal? I’m so so interested in his mysterious conversation with Laurent where he somehow knew that Laurent has knowledge of the future.

Okay, so, the physician from the inn. Yes, he is supposed to be Paschal! Hence all the silly little "salve" references. But he isn't really relevant to the broader plot, and (ironically, considering your question hahahahaha) I didn't want people to fixate on him too hard, which is why I didn't name him. He's there, he serves a minor narrative function, he goes away again.

So why does he think Laurent has knowledge of the future? Well. Frankly speaking. There's just something real odd about the guy.

Remember that the physician speaks Veretian, and is listening to everything that Damen and Laurent say to each other. He hears every slip into modern language that Laurent makes, but recognises him as a fellow native speaker - how could a Veretian know words in Veretian that another Veretian has never heard before? Laurent doesn't help by deflecting Damen's queries about his choice of words; all the physician hears is someone who is intentionally covering something up. How strange. How mystifying.

He hears Damen say that he "was a fool to think you were a naiad," and that Laurent is "so much more than a mere water nymph" - nymphs coming from sacred pools with supposed magical properties, oracles often stationed near said sacred pools (unsure if I've mentioned that in the A/Ns yet hmmmm this may be an unintentional spoiler hahahaha).

Damen also says "You are here to test me, I know it." The physician has figured out who Damen is, and he knows what the Akielons say about him. He knows what the Akielons believe regarding their King and their gods. Basically, Laurent and Damen are doing a very bad job of not acknowledging that Laurent's presence there has a preternatural cause, and the physician isn't actually the dumbass that Laurent and Damen think he is. He's listening, he's learning, his brain is like this:

So, the man puts it all together and comes up with a) Damen is soooooo in love with Laurent, and b) "you have gifts. You have knowledges."

Oh, and then there's the other thing. The Sunburst thing. The thing that every Veretian in this era grows up hearing about. The thing that will be explained in a lot more detail in a future chapter 👀

YES OKAY STORYTIME:

Y’all gonna go a little wild for this but…

I SHIFTED BACK TO MY HOM DR AND I FINALLY MET MY OBI

So like since it follows the events of HoM i didn’t get much time with him before the big mission on ryloth and unfortunately that meant there was a kidnapping involved…. Tbh kinda regretting all these dangerous plot points because in my head and on paper they sound like a good build up for my own personal development, but they can actually be very traumatizing and painful… who knew.

I haven’t shifted back to my HoM dr since, as i think I just need to cool off from the last time. I scripted in my dr that I can’t feel physical pain, but i forgot to script emotional pain out, and tbh i think the physical pain would’ve been better.

Anyway i know y’all are probably just dying to know about Obi so here are some things I can tell you from both my DR memories, and face to face experience from having gained actual consciousness in my DR:

He smells really good, like when he sat down next to me on our flight i could not pay attention to anything he said because he just smelled really nice. I don’t even really know how to explain it. It was kinda like how when you wash a set of sheets then put them in the dryer and they come out all warm and smell fresh and summery and omg idek what else but he also smelled kinda earthy, very rich with like nature type shit idek…

His voice is a little lower sounding when your hear it in real life, and like listening to him speak was already getting me in places I didn’t wanna be especially on a mission like that i think i was probably kinda reckless, which i didn’t exactly write/script, but whatever.

HE IS SO STRONG like this man could strong arm me from the ground and toss me into a wall and I’m 5’7 in my DR so i’m not exactly tiny.

AND YES HE CALLS ME LITTLE ONE more often than my actual name, which is Avynn. He’s so attentive, and like his relationship with me at this point in time reminds me of Qui Gon with him… like even tho i can be a hot head he’s so patient, and tries to hard to be calm even when i’m just straight up yelling. He’s literally so kind to me I don’t know what else to say. Like he’s so sassy and sometimes a little mean to everyone else (not really including anakin he loves anakin, even if he’s a little harder on him) but then if i talk to him he just kinda flips ig idk… he’s a little bit different in the way he thinks than what I imagined, and like he and I do have a force bond so a lot of the time I’ll just be standing there and accidentally hear what he’s thinking.

He’s a lot more cheeky and mischievous than people think he is. He’s the type of teacher that would loudly proclaim ‘do as i say, not as i do’ and tbh thats an interesting characteristic I didn’t think he’d have but i’m glad he does because it makes things mores fun.

Also this isn’t exactly an important detail, but I know some of you might go crazy to know he has a beauty mark on his shoulder that I saw one time when sparring and like its been in my head ever since so take that as you will.

Anyways I don’t really have anything else to add to that for now, as I only shifted back there once, then came back after the *trauma* so i’m just a little scared to go back because i think about it here, but I think about it way more when I’m actually there and idk its just kinda scary

In conclusion i firmly believe Obi-Wan Kenobi is the loml and i’m so damn mad my soulmate is in another reality even tho we aint together or anything like just being around him makes me feel so good I can’t rlly explain it.

ANYWAY

I also shifted three times to my accidental/unscripted stranger things dr and there’s so much drama i don’t even know where to begin but lemee sum it up rlly quick and if people have questions they can ask:

Okay so my dr is set in 1983 at the moment and i have this massive crush on steve, and i tried to talk to him in the hallway and stupid fkn Carol came and made fun of me, and i know steve probably didn’t wanna be mean to my face, but he kinda just let his friends pick on me ab it and i swear this mf knows i like him and he’s being a dick and also carol’s hair isn’t really red she dyes it, just wanted to expose a bitch… and like the last time i shifted it was around February and its still really cold so there’s not much to do which is why I haven’t gone back yet BUT my mom got me an Atari for my birthday and like my friends were in on it and got a bunch of games for it so thats cool. I’m now the proud owner of frogger, indy 500, and outlaw.

THERE HAVE BEEN SOME COMPLICATIONS WITH A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE AND NO I WILL NOT NAME WHO JUST KNOW THAT I GOT SHOTGUNNED BY GARETH AT A PARTY *WINK WINK* and some stuff happened after that.

Also i finally remade another dnd character sheet and like I’m gonna try and remember the details about it because i lowkey wanna use it in my CR its rlly good.

i loved the little karaoke moment he had with his friend in the ila ep ☺️☺️. and yeah me too!! the way he talked about his family on yoo quiz and then with them on ila, its so precious to see what a close bond they have with each other. ❤️🐯 i always feel bad for athletes that have to follow such strict diets, so i was glad to see that at least he can enjoy himself more..

hiiii!! 🫂🫂🫂 sorry for the late response, missed this entirely in my inbox 😭 but ohhhh i didn’t know those were by kim hee june!! i understand what you mean, the subjects of his photographs are always painted in such a soft light, and i rly like the eye he has for muscular models, so visually pleasing! 💛 i rly love seeing the different approaches that different photographers and magazines have wrt guesung, like for example the vogue cover sent me bc there was this rly popular tweet that was like “타겟층이 내가 아닌 것 같은 이 기분은 뭘까” (why do i have the feeling that the target audience isn’t me) and then all the qrts were kr ppl going “i think men are the target audience” and “are you gay” LIKE 😭

the transfer window for guesung rn is kind of a mess 😭 celtic and mainz were playing tug of war but then park jisung (former star kr football player and now technical director at jeonbuk) fell from my good graces when he rejected the mainz offer (and idk if celtic is rly pursuing him anymore) … now jeonbuk’s training in spain and there’s talks that la liga teams are interested?? idk mainz would still be cool for me bc the bundesliga is a good way to get used to european football, plus lee jaesung from the nt plays there so he’d have someone to rely on in a foreign country, and mainz area generally has the biggest kr population in germany. not to mention the fact that mainz coaches have already reached out to guesung to talk abt how to implement them into their style of play, so him getting minutes is also guaranteed. we’ll see ig … transfer window isn’t closed yet! 👍🏾
