“A new agent?” Cypher says excitedly—perking his head up from his computer to look at Killjoy. He ponders for a moment. “You should really give me their name.” He flashes a sly smile.

Killjoy leans on the automatic door entrance of Cyphers workshop—looking at him with an unimpressed expression and crossed arms. “So you can stalk her? I don’t think so.”

“Her?” He purrs in response. “How old is she?” He says with a curious tone.

Killjoy raises an eyebrow and speaks cheerfully. “She looks to be around 19 or 20. And ah, that matters why?”

Cypher looks at her for a moment. “Just curious,” he says elongating his vowels.

“Yeah, curious if you’re able to date her!” Killjoy says laughing.

“Nooo!” Cypher replies loudly in a defensive tone.

Killjoy laughs at his pathetic response and Cypher can’t help but join. He made it extremely obvious of his intentions with the new agent. After the laughter dies down, they sit in silence for a moment.

Killjoy stares at him with taunting craved eyes. “You want to see what she looks like, don’t you?”

“I-ah..,” Cypher stammers. “I do,” he says softly.

“Ha! Too bad, I don’t have pictures. I’m messing with you,” she says with a mischievous grin.

Cypher groans. “Ah, get out!” He says angrily.

Killjoy laughs loudly as she walks into the hallway. The automatic door shuts loudly—muffling the sound of Killjoy’s giggling. Cypher looks at the clock. 1:42am.

“I’ve done enough work for today,” he mumbles to himself as he shuts down his computer.

He stumbles out of his computer chair, feeling the blood rush back into his legs. He stretches and lets out a soft whimper. “Aghhh,” he groans in pain.

He walks out into the hallway—the automatic door opening and shutting loudly behind him. He tumbles wearily to his dark room and tosses himself into his soft black duvet.

He adjusts himself into a comfortable position hugging his pillow, but relaxing is to no avail. He’s so excited about meeting you on tomorrows mission. Thoughts, wholesome and non wholesome, rush through his head.

He eventually finds himself growing weary. The excitement dies down as his thoughts trail off to various different topics. He loses his trail and finds himself dozing off to sleep.

Light from Cyphers curtains illuminate his face. He shifts into a different position and lays there for a few minutes attempting to fall asleep again. Unfortunately, he’s now wide awake. He opens his eyes to his room lit dimly by the bright slits in his curtains—groaning as he slowly sits up.

He looks over at the clock with heavy eyes. 8:47? “Oh fuck,” he exclaims in his deep morning voice. He’s supposed to leave for the mission by nine. He stumbles to his dresser and puts on his uniform swiftly. He runs to the bathroom and brushes his teeth. He walks out of the bathroom attempting to look calm.

He walks into the open kitchen/living room area dazed. Killjoy is sipping on coffee while talking to this beautiful woman. No way… It couldn’t be. Is that..

Is that the new agent she was talking about? Cypher gawks at her. After an awfully long time, she catches him staring. He quickly averts his gaze.

“Ah Cypher, is it? Goodmorning,” you say in a bubbly tone.

He stares at you for a moment longer before muttering a low, “goodmorning.” He continues—this time muttering under his breath in awe, “‎أنتَ جميلة.” (/anta jamila/ (you’re beautiful))

You can’t help but smile at his strange sleepy and adorable interaction with you. You glance at Killjoy smiling at you, then at Cypher staring at you.

He stammers before speaking. “I-Ah… You’re name is?” He says in a nervous tone.

“Y/n,” you say cheerfully.

He smiles. “You have a beautiful name.”

You feel flattered by his comment. You watch as he walks into the kitchen and grabs a donut off of the oven. It makes you happy he’s eating the gift you got for him and Killjoy. You observe him for a moment. He’s so handsome. You’ve always had a thing for masked man. Is he single? You ponder a million questions to yourself.

Killjoy watches you as you stare at him. “Fancy my roomate?” She teases you quietly.

You feel your face heat up. “Nooo,” you say defensively attempting to hide your face.

You feel multiple eyes on you as you’re red and flustered. This is so embarrassing. This type of teasing is so childish. Cypher can’t help but think about how cute you look right now.

Killjoy interrupts your bashful episode of emotions with a loud and cheerful, “It’s nine! We should get going!”

She pulls you up off the couch and drags you to the door. Cypher follows behind while eating his donut, smiling.

You and Cypher walts into the house exhausted after your mission. Killjoy got injured on the mission, so she’s staying with sage for a few days. You can’t help but feel nervous being with Cypher alone.

“It’s late. You should stay here tonight,” Cypher suggests as he pulls out some leftover chinese food from the fridge and begins eating it cold.

You nod. “Ah, where will I sleep?” You say curiously.

“You could sleep in Killjoy’s room since she isn’t here,” he suggests.

You don’t like that option. Sleeping alone is something you’ve never taken well. Usually you have your pets keeping you company, but no one? You’re not going to sleep a wink. You stay quiet for a moment, thinking about what to do. Should you tell him?

You let out a weak, “Cypher?”

“Yes, ‎ زوينة?” (/zouina/ (beautiful)) He says without a thought in his head.

Your face flushes red. “I don’t do well sleeping alone,” you say quietly.

He looks at you for a moment. “Are you suggesting you want to sleep in my room?” He says with a laugh.

You nod and hide your face.

Once he’s done eating, he walks over to you and moves your hands—revealing your red tinted face.

“Y/n?” He says curiously. “I’ll bring you to my room.”

He grabs your hand and escorts you to his room. He puts his fingerprint onto the scanner and the door opens loudly. You’re met with a decent sized room. He has a black duvet covered bed next to a wall with a big window, a computer set up, and many gadgets on his floor and walls. It’s ambiently lit with occasional yellow lamps. It’s cozy.

Cypher glances at you. “You could sleep in the bed and I could sleep on the floor,” he suggests happily.

“No, sleep in the bed with me. I don’t want you to be uncomfortable,” you say nervously.

Cypher looks at her for a moment. “Are you sure?” He says hesitantly.

“Mhm,” she hums—nodding. “And ah, do you have anything I could sleep in?”

“Let me see. I could get something from Killjoy, but she’ll kill me if she notices her clothes are missing. She may be generous with her gadgets, but her clothes are another story!” He laughs.

Cypher opens his closet door and grabs a shirt for you to wear. “This should cover everything.” He hands the shirt to you.

You haven’t seen his face, or really, even a sliver of his skin the entire time you were together. Yet, he slips his mask off like it’s nothing—revealing his beautiful light brown skin and dark brown hair. His eyes are a gorgeous light blue. He’s the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen. He notices you gawking at him and laughs breifly.

“Are you going to change or keep staring at me?” He teases.

Your face flushes red and you turn around, changing into the shirt Cypher gave you. You turn around and interlock eyes with him. He gazes at you in astonishment. Seeing you in his clothes makes his heart melt. He smiles softly.

You return his astonished gaze. You can’t help but eye him up and down. He’s shirtless—revealing his toned, beautiful brown muscles. He’s wearing sweatpants. You also can’t help but lock eyes with the imprint of his cock in his pants. He catches you looking and flashes a smile, along with a confused expression.

“Sorry,” you mutter embarrassed. “It looked at me first.”

“Looked at you, huh? …Alright,” he laughs. You crack a smile and inevitably start laughing too.

You can’t help but gaze at him as he laughs. He’s eyecandy. He looks so sweet he’d give you a cavity from kissing him once. How is a man this handsome even in front of you? He notices you ogling.

You interlock eyes with him for a moment. You watch as he gazes back and forth at your lips and eyes. You glance at his lips once, then back to his eyes.

“Can I kiss you?” He says softly.

“Yes—“ You get cut off by Cypher firmly pressing his lips against yours. He picks you up and shoves you onto his bed.

He places his hand on the back of your head and intertwines his fingers with your hair, gripping firmly. As you kiss him deeply, you decide to tease him by rubbing your thigh on his member.

“What do you think you’re doing?” He says with a laugh.

Feeling something pressing against your thigh, you look down. He’s hard. You pause and smile. “Hm…you like it obviously,” you say squinting at him.

AGHHH MY FIRST ASK!!!!!!!!/pos

Fair warning, this is going to be a LONGGGG ass post and it will mention ableism towards NPDers. I want to make sure I cover as much as possible. If you have NPD and want to add anything, pls do so in a reblog or the comments! I am also super delirious so if what I say makes no sense I'm so sorry 😭

I think a full, completely in depth understanding is the key to not writing something stigmatizing/demonizing. It sounds obvious, but in the case of NPD, there's so much misinformation so I am hoping this post can guide you in the writing process. You never know what little thing can cause accidental mischaracterization.

This is a super important topic for me because honestly, I'm trying to figure out the same as someone with NPD myself, even with all the info available. I feel like there's so much grey area because so much is still unknown about the disorder (fuck the psych system/narc abuse believers). A lot of us have to go from our personal experiences and figure things out on our own, which brings me to my first topic:

Self Diagnosis And The Criteria!!!!!!!!

A LOT of us are self diagnosed, including myself. Whether you're officially diagnosed or not, most of us can agree the DSM5 is booty ass. I bring up self diagnosis specifically because due to the DSM5 being shitty, it's suuuper difficult to get diagnosed or even want a diagnosis. I personally don't want one.

If that's a theme you want to bring up in your work, I would definitely follow blogs here that break down the diagnostic criteria and re-define it in a realistic way. Having this is super important because the DSM5 is MADDD confusing even if it wasn't ableist.

Your characters might resonate with that confusion and even anger. Rage is such a prominent emotion with us narcissists, so its highly encouraged you tap into that. The stigma is so impactful to most of us and personally keeps me hidden.

If you went off the official criteria, you could innocently and accidentally write an ableist trope based off the DSM5. For example, the DSM5 has a very vague and "I do this just because I can blah blah blah and there's a name for it" narrative of narcissists. There's no nuance. They state accurate symptoms but don't accurately explain why we have them. Without context, it makes our intentions ultimately one size fits awful.

Here are some resources that have been super helpful to me!

Some extra specific things I keep in mind when writing my narcissistic characters:

-“Bad behavior” is such an important phrase to emphasize when writing narcissists negative symptoms and being mindful on how you approach the impact. Make sure that phrase is clear, even if they will not redeem themselves and are a piece of garbage. They did xyz because of bad behavior due to symptoms, they hurt john doe because of bad behavior due to symptoms. They make the conscious choice not to change their bad behavior because abc or they make the conscious choice to do better because blah blah blah.

-Depending on what communication style you want two or more characters to have, make sure the outcomes are accurate based off of symptoms. My examples don't explain narcissists as a whole, but they are based off of my symptoms:

Lack of Communication: Increase in superiority symptoms, increase in rage, increase in invalidation and inferiority feelings. Other parties, specifically egotypicals may have a misconception of the narcissist and believe their symptoms are how they really are and can't be redeemed due to stigma. In the situation involving a narcissist however, in my experience when this happens I'm always so confused. Nothing makes sense and nobody is explaining anything to me. I need outside perspective as to why my actions are wrong and lack of communication will sink me deeper into my delusions. Communication is so important coming from the outside perspective to snap me out of my spiral. Lack of communication on my end will cause me to bottle up my feelings, convinced I’m better alone. Not explaining my intentions (or lack there of, to be completely blunt and vulnerable.) to someone I hurt can cause them so much more pain too. I don't want to hurt anyone, and even if I don't FEEL sorry, I can acknowledge I don't want the people I care for to be hurt by my bad actions.

Proper Communication: Honestly in my case, usually the damage I caused isn’t forgiven however rebuilding that trust becomes so much easier accepting that and opening up to the person/people I hurt. The narcissist usually knows they can prevent xyz going forward, and the other party is prepared on how to handle the situation in case it happens again. In my experience, communication is super beneficial in terms of receiving supply too. ESPECIALLY when the other person involved is also a narcissist, they know that pain of not receiving praise/admiration and we can understand each other moving forward.

Other narcissists I encourage you give your experience w this too bc I have seen very diff ones!

-If you want to implement characters who are ableist towards the narcissist, some things I would do are:

Show the narcissists internal monologue after the trauma and put your main focus on their emotions, the ableist person’s actions second. The weight of their words will be shown more in the trauma response, less in the moment (although super important). Focus the context on the narc crash, anxiousness, surprise, grandiosity overcompensation, etc.

Have other characters defend the narcissist, preferably being other narcissists because we are the ones who understand each other the most and back each other up no matter what

Show the importance of proper education and lack of education

Ask yourself how this is relevant to the plot and your character/characters

-Ask yourself, why does/doesn't my character want to be redeemed? Is it a symptom or is it genuine? Do they want to do better but don't recognize it? Why don't they recognize it? What symptoms are holding them back from xyz (social connections, self care etc.).?

Examples of answers to these questions:

My character doesn't want to be redeemed because they are convinced they are justified in their actions. They genuinely believe they did the right thing and need time to get out of that mindset. What's stopping them from getting out of that mindset is the delusion they are stuck in. Working on their trauma triggers can help lessen the blow and onset of psychosis. If they recognize they are wrong, my character is the type of person to crash and have suicidal urges. There is a slow build up before the crash that spirals into madness. What may help is getting supply from their friends/partners reassuring them that recognizing their bad actions are a first step followed by praise for things outside of the situation to bring them back to a solid baseline or narc high.

My character has a hard time socializing because when having an episode of grandiosity, they feel like they are better than everyone and no one is at their level. In episodes of insecurity, they feel like they don't deserve friends because they feel worthless. This is followed by perfectionism and seeking unwanted friendships, only to self-destruct and hurt those around them. Their ego impacts everything they do.

-SHAMEEEE is one of the most important emotions (in my experience) to write about so pls make that an important part of how your character views themselves!

-I know I have been only focusing on negative aspects, but also do highlight the positive aspects. For me, NPD has motivated me to work on myself. It isn’t the healthiest way, but given my circumstance, it is the healthiest I can do right now. Even my most wild and delusional thoughts can lead to great opportunities for self improvement. Thinking I’ll become famous? Gave myself tools to work on my executive dysfunction and be consistent with a project I love. Narc highs are also absolutely incredible. Finding folks who understand me and receiving praise has kept me going. I genuinely feel listened to. Narcissists are some of the nicest people you will ever meet because they know what it feels like to hate themselves. No matter how little empathy some of us have, that doesn’t mean we can’t acknowledge one another (even if my symptoms make me feel so singular in my experiences/contradict the point of acknowledging others).

So many of us are autistic. SO MANY. This small survey statistic doesn’t scratch the surface but it’s important to look at!

As an autistic person myself, I feel like a lot of the trauma I faced growing up highly contributed to the development of NPD. I was othered, shunned, invalidated and shamed for just existing. Still am. That made me overcompensate with erratic attempts to be wanted and loved and just acknowledged in any way possible. I want to be SEEN.

If anyone wants an in depth post sharing my experiences with bipolar disorder and NPD I will absolutely do so if asked too!

How NPD affects my gender itself, dysphoria and sexuality:

In my experience as a fat trans man, a lot of my dysphoria is rooted in narcissism, internalized fatphobia and internalized toxic masculinity. I want to be the ideal boyfriend that is praised for existing. My male privilege definitely contributes to that want and I can acknowledge and dislike that part of myself. I expect this certain level of respect for being a man without realizing it sometimes and make sure to hold myself accountable when doing so. My dysphoria makes me feel inferior to other men because I don't "pass" and I feel the need to compete against them. The insecurity is consuming me and I do my best to be aware if I cross any lines.

What I have noticed about gender and sexuality in NPDers is that a lot yall are aroace and nonbinary! Like based off of my survey alone and people I know!

I asked one of my mutuals if it wanted to share his experiences of being a POC with NPD and it agreed!! He wanted to stay anonymous (aka super duper awesomely cool and mysterious) so I’ll just be posting the ss of what he said!

I do not have much to say on the response from my mutual because I feel like what it said speaks for itself and because we've spoken in private about the topic already! If you want to write an Asian character with NPD, this is really useful information!!!! One day I will make a post elaborating on being a POC with NPD myself. But, for now, this will help you understand an experience from an Asian perspective.

last february i was going through my zelda phase again and i was looking for fics to read. previously i had read a lot of sidlink fics so I was looking for something new, and I decided to check out revalink fics and. oh em gee. i got hooked 😭

I remember insisting I only liked it ironically but 💀 look where I am now. #1 revalink shipper oopsies 🤭 their dynamic really stood out to me, I've shipped a lot of rivals to lovers before so I guess once I started to consider it revalink just made sense to me. also revalink fics are devastatingly good, like there's a couple that I reread religiously 😫

what are your favorite things about the ship?

omg I LOVE THIS QUESTIONNN. saurr many things like. I mentioned it already but I love their dynamic, especially when you start to analyze it beyond the surface level. I love headcanons about why revali lashes out at link in the first place, especially in relation to the champion's ballad dlc and how revali's diary reveals that he's just really insecure about himself. I think they're such good character foils to each other and that makes their interactions, both as rivals and as lovers, so much richer than some of the other ships in the game. their relationship is so open to interpretation and that makes it one of the most satisfying ships to make content for SHFJDBF

is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

hmm not that I can think of! i post a lot of headcanons and stuff but I don't think they've ever been unpopular, maybe just unique. like my all the president's men au 💀 i still think abt that sometimes LOL

what would have made you like it?

what would have made you like it?

I think a.) mipha's character should have been fleshed out more because she felt so one-dimensional and it kind of bothered me, her character had so much more potential and I love seeing fanon version of her where she actually has a personality. and b.) if there was a little more pining on both link's and mipha's parts. the best part of childhood friends to lovers is the pining!!

Obviously House of Wolves Is a Renfield coded song. It definitely fits him during the early days of him being a familiar, he's severely Infatuated with Dracula and willing to do anything for him, while still acknowledging that hes an awful person for doing so

"tell me I'm a bad man, kick me like a stray", hes aware of what hes doing but hes starting to accept It, though he still knows he deserves punishments for It. Also dogboy Renfield

In my mind It's a song that would play while hes on a killing spree, embracing that hes a sinner and knowing that hes going to Hell. I think hes always suffered with catholic guilt because of his queerness and MCR are literally the kings of catholic guilt and homosexuality so the song Is about him sinning by killing people and by being gay

For the 2nd song I'd have to say It's Not a Fashion Statement, It's a Deathwish because It's about being revived and Immortality. I think Dracula has had to revive Renfield dozens of times over the years and now Ren has turned Into an almost Immortal being. It's literally like In the actual story for Three Cheers, because the devil keeps bringing the Demolition Man back to life over and over again just so he can kill people. (Renny and the Demolition Man are very similar, at least to me) Also I think at the last verse Is kind of like him singing to Dracula about how one day they'll be dead together, since he still has some hope that Dracula can die

Also "from the razor to the rosary, we could lose ourselves and paint these walls in pitchfork red" Is such a perfect lyric for them. Murderous husbands

3rd song Is Famous Last Words, It fits Renfield post-Dracula so well. He's finally free and able to live his life again, he's no longer afraid of being alive. Although Renfield still loves Dracula, he Isn't scared of being alone because he has discovered he can find new purposes In life and he no longer needs Dracula to make him feel complete.

"A love that's so demanding, I get so weak, a love that's so demanding, I can't speak" Its literally him and Dracula! His love for his Master has turned him Into a weak-willed and obedient servant, rather than an equal lover. He Is devoted to Dracula, while Dracula could let him go and not feel even the tiniest bit of guilt or regret (at least In Renfield's eyes). He literally can't speak because he's spent all of his life In Dracula's shadow, always quiet and unable to express his own thoughts, forced to listen to and obey Dracula's demands.

He's no longer the quiet, obedient follower that he was molded Into, he Is free from hiding In the shadows and fearing every moment he's alive. Now he has the power and bravery to keep on living.

i don’t remember the exact details since it’s been a couple months since i finished reading THB but didn’t lockwood try to convince lucy to stay with him and lnco? and didn’t lucy run into lnco a few times before she rejoined them during the ealing cannibal and creeping shadow cases, in which george kinda had a bad attitude towards her, which is soo.. she can’t hate them!

lucy never replaces lockwood and/or george, or holly. she never goes out and permanently joins another team/agency. she works as a freelance agent and briefly teams up with groups such as the one at the beginning of TCS, but she doesn’t stick with them, in fact, she’s always comparing them to her high standard of lockwood and co! and she wishes she was working with them again, and she misses them. then when they all finally reunite, it’s a bit uneasy and there’s some tension that quickly resolves but, there was definitely uncertainty on both sides of “how do we feel about each other now, now that you’ve done something as big as leaving us. after we’ve bonded together. become as close as family?” for lockwood and george. and lucy, (obliviously) can’t possibly understand the reason why lockwood became even more reckless after she left them. and briefly, when they’ve just started working together as a team again, she’s unsure of how to act/ uncomfortable because this is so unfamiliar. she was so used to working rhythmically (everyone had assigned roles pretty much; george with researching, lucy preparing supplies, lockwood going out doing leadership things and holly doing her thing / forgive me, i forget the specific details here, but it’s all in the beginning/ middle of TCS)

now this, reminds me of lockwood and lucy, post THB, again. i think the months they spent away from each other probably definitely hurt so badly. you’re trying to tell me that the love of your life just walked out the door and doesn’t contact you for months, and you wouldn’t blame yourself at all? well, anthony lockwood would. after all those people and loved ones that he’s lost? yeah. and lucy, seeing lockwood finally bringing lockwood and co into the well-known, best agency in london, they both had hoped to become/ bring lnco into? without her, without talking to her, without reaching out, at all? yeah, i think that was hurting her a lot, too.

idk if this is bad/hypocritical or not as a taekooker (probably is lol) but i kinda hope taehyung didn’t look at that taekook account’s other posts and i hope he only saw the one of his picture on the building. they have posts abt analysis/theories on the dream premiere and tkk being caught kissing at some point pinned at the top of their account. even though i believe in and support taekook the thought of him seeing an account with those posts that are speculative and could possibly be wrong is a little embarrassing? idk if embarrassing is the right word but like im afraid it could make him uncomfortable? in the off chance that tkk aren’t actually in a romantic relationship then that’s so awkward and uncomfortable for him to see. and even if they are together i feel like it could make him feel slightly violated ? aghhh idk cuz ig if that were the case he probably wouldn’t have chosen to repost it and leave their @ there but still when i went to look at their posts i was just like OOP awkward i hoped he hadn’t looked at it 😬

There's absolutely nothing bad or hypocritical about feeling that way, anon. I've just become aware of the type of account that taekooker has, and I also hope he didn't have a browse on it. It makes me cringe when I think of some of the types of content they probably come into contact with online. Imagine seeing posts of people speculating or arguing about your relationship? Or even worse, fanart of you and your partner having sex? 💀 Whether they're together or not, that must be an incredibly weird and uncomfortable situation to be in. They're real people at the end of the day, not characters from a tv show.

There's a good chance he didn't actually look at that account, and he only came across that one post. Or maybe he did, and he found it funny? Who knows? I do think Jungkook and Tae probably get a laugh out of some of the taekook stuff they see online, but it can't be nice coming across some of the things that gets posted about them, because some people definitely take it too far.

Ok, just as I imagined, many of you are in that area of ​​yes and no, in a dilemma.

Miraculous Ladybug has been characterized by being a show that attracts a lot of people but at the same time, many of these people partly back away from the series itself. Among the most criticized things that, as I see on social media, are bad writing, bad development of the character and the story itself, plot holes, and a half-good, half-bad message for the general public. Even so, I see that things are bad. for positive more than for negative, since the "yes" is above the "no", so many people are thinking "aghhh if I didn't have this or that it would already be perfect!" It feels like it falls short, right?

I imagine that all of you who commented and voted is because you love this series as much as I do, that is why I upload this post to inform you about this account and its function, which if you love the show and vote IN THAT HALF THAT IS NOT BAD BUT YOU MAY NOT BE INTERESTED EITHER.

To begin with, I was a long time behind those people who were like you, I mean "yes and no" because it's like I saw that the series was poorly written but not in its entirety and sometimes it seemed like it made sense and other times it didn't etc... but recently my perspective completely changed to loving the series and seeing it as a great show.

because? because I understood HOW THE SERIES IS REALLY WRITTEN. AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM OF MANY OF THE PEOPLE WHO CHOSE THIS OPTION (LIKE ME A TIME BACK) THAT YOU DON'T SEE HOW THE SERIES IS REALLY PREPARED.

MIRACULOUS IS A MIRACULOUS SERIES, BUT FEW PEOPLE SEE THAT.

MIRACULOUS LADYBUG is not a series with a base format that any series would have and this makes many people take it as a normal or basic series with a certain structure and of course, comparing it so it is logical that we see THAT NOTHING MAKES SENSE OR THAT THERE IS NO GOOD DEVELOPMENT, because If you make that comparison it clearly doesn't make sense.

but when you see the real structure then things change. I assure you that it is a series that is well written and that has meaning and order, it is just a matter of seeing it well, and getting out of that format, this series is well crafted, so well that it surprises me how each track or piece fits perfectly with the other, and each event tells you, literally, what is going to happen later, there is really work behind this series, because for all this to fit together, my goodness, what a mess, seriously.

The fact that people don't see this is sad, because it immediately makes them call it a bad or half-good series when it is quite well made, but more importantly, it makes people not really enjoy the series as they would like, it is because That's why I uploaded this post and I took the survey and I made this account.

In it I upload a post about the structure, in-depth analyzes of each and every one of the MLB chapters in great detail (so much so, that for example, origins part 1, is leading me to divide it into several parts) also analyzing other things about the Serie. THIS IS SO THAT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND HOW IT WORKS AND SO BE ABLE TO ENJOY THE SERIES AND SEE HOW MIRACULOUS IT IS, YOU WILL SEE THE NUMBER OF CLUES, OF THINGS THAT PREMONIZE THAT HAPPEN AND WILL HAPPEN TO THE FUTURE JUST WATCHING ONE CHAPTER HAHAHA (for example from origins they already leave you the clue that nino will be carapace hehe)

(rape tw) im so annoyed that they made homelander a rapist because it just seems so shock value at this point. now i'm not allowed to like a complex character even to cope because he's crossed such a moral horizon. i say this as a victim of sa, the weird fascination and oversaturation of rape in media and tv is almost gratuitous, an easy way to entice fear and disgust in the viewer while simultaneously being something people fetishize and exploit. trauma should not be used like that. pain should not be used like that, especially pain in the nature of sa. it doesn't fit in homelander's arc or just the person he is that he would rape anyone, but sometimes i feel bad for thinking that way. i wish the writers took a more delicate care of how they handled these characters and themes, because now you can't erase it, only amend it :(

i'm right there with you! the way rape and sa are used in media is almost always so flippant and careless (and often purely for shock value :/ ). i honestly feel that if your story does include rape or sa, it should be something that carries significant weight and resonates throughout the narrative.

and weirdly, the boys has the perfect setup to accomplish this, considering that along with a-train running through robin, homelander and becca's encounter is the inciting event of the show. but the whole plot line was just so badly mishandled, it's astounding. there's the obvious problem that any analysis of homelander that goes beyond "evil man do evil things" will point to the fact that this was out-of-character for him. it's equally horrible that the writers squandered any opportunity they had to make becca her own character. (i HATED her season 1 flashbacks that presented her as nothing but the object of billy's affections. i stupidly believed season 2 would fix this once she was revealed to be alive, only for her to be wasted in all 8 episodes. seriously, i laughed in 2.08 when the boys fell in love with becca two seconds after meeting her because it seemed like such a lazy, last-ditch attempt to get us to appreciate her right before she died. it was literally one of the most egregious examples of "tell, not show" i've witnessed in recent memory.) i even read that kripke and the writers deliberately framed the s1 plotline to be ambiguous, so that viewers would question whether becca was raped... which is awful for all sorts of reasons. 

and i apologize in advance for this tangent, but -- i absolutely DESPISED the way they referenced starlight's sa in season 3. it seriously seems like one of the writers had just learned the term "mouth rape" and wanted to squeeze it into every conversation possible. i understand people can be extremely crude and disrespectful while referencing something of this nature in real life, but i think they had three different people use this exact phrasing in multiple eps. it felt super inauthentic and i'm seriously questioning what happened in the writers room this season because if you compare these conversations to starlight speaking up about her sa in s1... there's a world of difference. (i also have a lot of thoughts about how they've been playing out the gimmick of the deep/sea creatures but that's for another post)

i also completely understand what you mean about feeling bad for even questioning whether this is in-character for homelander -- i've wondered that too. in real life, the line of thinking that "this person can't be a rapist because it doesn't fit with my view of them" is insensitive and naïve, because we don't ever know the whole of a person. crucially, this is where fictional characters are different, because we do know them -- in the sense that the character is the sum of what is presented to us on page or on screen.

homelander is still my favourite character, mostly because i subscribe to the idea that you can take what you like from canon and leave the rest. but aghhh it's incredibly frustrating because it would have been so easy to not do it this way and come out with an even better story as a result.

i’ve just been catching up on your posts and why am i seeing people saying you’re leaving?!? 😭 but i’m so glad you clarified that you just need a break and i’m so sorry you have to go through that my love ♡ i just want to say if you really need a break then take it. you don’t have to write anything, and you don’t owe anyone anything. i think sometimes a slump is what we need to make us feel the yearning to do something that we love again because we’ll miss it eventually.

i guess may was a rough month for everyone. take your time to do selfcare for a whole week because may was an ass and i -too- wanna kick it in the butt for being the toughest and longest month so far. i know the ‘lack’ of interaction / appreciation for your writings lately can be discouraging and i totally get that. like sometimes it can feel as if a negative comment would be better than nothing, because at least ‘someone is acknowledging something that i made’. but i’m so happy so many people came to give you the love and support and it proves that you’re so loved and appreciated because your works really helped people to find comfort and have a peaceful time even just for 10 minutes of their (mine too) 24 hour long and tiring day.

oooh… and i want to tell you about a bit of my life lately… remember that i was going to yoongi’s concert and it was my first ever concert and you told me to forget everything except my ticket and powerbank? yea… my powerbank broke and i had to borrow this lovely lady’s 💀 i got a vip soundcheck and practically a barricade 🥹 i still can’t believe i got to see 1 of 7 of them right in front of my eyes 😭 i had so much fun and as an introvert -i hate crowded places so much and meeting so many people makes me anxious- i never thought i’d love concert as much as i did! but i’ll give it to yoongi and the lovely people i met, army 🫶🏻 because they’re the nicest people on earth istg. talking with armies online is so nice, but meeting so much of them in real life was soooo much better. the whole time i saw them, my brain just went “wow… we really love the same person / band huh. the tannies are so loved. i love it here”. speaking of concert… i got tickets for coldplay too! 😭praying that they will perform my univers live 🕯️🪐✨

and here we are in june! let’s have fun with tannies because it’s our month! i started this month still with a neverending college final project *booing and throwing tomatoes*. but i’m so happy because i finally found the type of pencil i’ve been searching for soooo long that i got out of my year long drawing slump… and i’ve been practicing again with drawing jungkook’s nose because i love it so much and i wanna *boop* it. and as i was sketching, i was watching the festa livestreams the whole day. a therapeutic experience :’] i miss them soooo much ❤️‍🩹

Hmmm, I feel like of all my fics, Arc Business is just the least interesting at a glance. It's not Bad Batch, it's just Echo, but I have a reallyyyyyyy long doc of ideas for that one. I just need Fives and Echo to be besties again and there are SO many hurt/comfort tropes I’ve thought up for them!! A good amount of it is already written out, but there's just not much motivation since I have a lot of ideas that would just do better. And I definitely try not to write for anyone else, it's my fic and I can post it if I want lol, but it would just be cool to see it take off a bit more :) (maybe i should just post that next chapter.... aghhh but i have so many wips rn 🫠🫠)

I answered this one for Tanwyn, but yeah, On the Reg just deserves so much better! It was my first fic, I wasn't expecting anyone to ever read it and honestly, most of it was written in like a couple sittings. I didn't do a ton with the concept, it was a lot of interactions with no missions or anything, and while that was totally fine, I just think it could be better! And again, some of them were... REALLY out of character at the beginning lol. Hunter is literally just *there* for most of it. (this poor guy, i just do not understand him enough lol)

There's this scene I have written for it that I've had in mind since the very beginning and I'm SO excited to get to it, it's pretty much what all of this is building up to. The whole theme of the fic, Echo's need to SLOW DOWN SIR please just chill for one second ahem, definitely isn't something he's going to realize easily, and some of the others aren't gonna have a lot of patience for that. In this case, Echo is being particularly stupid avoiding certain things, and this only ends up making it all worse. Don't wanna spoil too much but uh, there's definitely things being lost in the tension rn

Personal Update:

Heyy you guys! I know I’ve been super inactive over the last well, 2 1/2 years. You’d think covid would have made me get into tumblr moreee but instead it made me more depressyo esspressyo & I lost all motivation for pretty much all my hobbies.

Well, ya girl got covid. After evading it alll this time, I’ve gotten it. And lemme tell you - it sucks. Bad. I can’t even imagine how bad it can be for people who are immuno-compromised or the hundreds of thousands who had it when it first came around. It’s really horrible. But I’m seemingly on the mend.

I am 23 weeks pregnant and I could not be happier. It feels like life is falling into place & I am ecstatic to be a FTM.

So I’m sorry for my absence. I know I gained a bit of a following & I miss a lot of the people I would interact with on here! Im not even sure how many are still active but please feel free to reach out to me if you still are & I hope to regain some motivation to writing again. It probably won’t ever be the way it had been where I posted multiple stories a week, but I’d like to post here from time to time when I have the time. It all became extremely overwhelming tbh & I lost the creative spark when all I was doing were requests, especially ones I just didn’t feel creatively. So I apologize for that.

Mansfield Park anon here. I did not clearly state my premise. I do like Pride & Prejudice. But it doesn't resonate with me, KWIM? It's rereadable, memorable, and absorbing but it doesn't get me right in the feels. Anyway since I sent my last ask I finally read Persuasion and OMG. OMG, what a beautifully observed and poignant story. I haven't read a bad Austen yet but I think I'm demoting P&P to third on the list.

I guess I got too derailed by my feelings about Elizabeth to be clear about my actual source of frustration. Here is how I concluded the post that started this discussion:

I didn't make the post because I support evaluating Austen's novels by comparison to P&P and the comparisons were just going the wrong way. I made it because I love Pride and Prejudice and Mansfield Park and am annoyed that so many people seem to insist on discussing the novels as if they're always in competition and one must be denigrated to prop the other up. So I'm not really the best audience for this particular discussion, I guess, though I'm glad you enjoyed Persuasion.

FWIW, I think it's fine to like MP or P&P better than the other one, or find specific contrasts useful for discussion or whatever. I just get exasperated, as someone who adores P&P and loves MP, that so many MP takes are fundamentally about P&P.

AGHHH GHGG HJHKJHGHH oKAY FDORCING MYSLEF TO TYPE AND TRY TO WORD MY THOUHJTS im just blankly staring at the screen but im feeling so much pain  what. the hell. just when i started to like noelclaire too. i got so attached fuuuukc how do i even start processing all of that. okay first about ashe. i have a feeling he’s remembered the stories somehow. the demons seem to do this over and over and i don’t think it’s limited to the scenarios we saw. it’d explain the line where he said “this too” ofc there are others but my brain just feels too fried right now. with all of the lengths and stuff he said and ghrgggggggggggggggggggg he also knows so much about the mansion justi dont know its a feeling. i dont really have anything complete to back it up i guess but its just what i think the way this man faked his entire death. did he somehow find a doll. hhhhhhhhhhhhh and god i cant even word or say anything right now but the way that noel cared so much about claire he was absolutely willing to do it all he wasnt lying one bit when he said he’d do anything for her the time that he spent with her changed his entire life and the loyalty didnt fade throughout all the 12 years how how ho like same with sirius in a way if we’re saying that.............. was it even 12 years? if this has been going on for longer like i said this all just assumption then hhgkj yea it was 12 years im bad at analyzing but if he was in hell how did he become the way he did now FUCK THE WAY THAT HE SPENT THE TIME WITH HER IN HER IDEAL FANTASY LAND JUST BEING HAPPY SEEING HER HAPPY AND BEING PERFECTLY CONTENT WITH JUST LISTENING TO HER.
