So far @adobe has been proving that they don't care about artist or creatives. Especially since they have started to use AI generators in not just their programs but marketing too.
Also their so called opt out option for their AI generator, hasn't been working. Artist have been coming out with proof that their work was still being used. Even though they opt out and on top of that all Adobe did to fix this was pay the artist. One artist was only paid around 300$, for their entire portfolio and remember this work will be re used as long as this program is still going. So to me that's a pretty unfair payment, especially since they opt out.
As far as I know of only one artist who had this issue got their work "supposably" removed from their AI generator. On top of that it was a popular artist (Loish). So it seems if they did do this. It was because the artist had a big following.
For those who do want to leave adobe here is a list of options. All programs that can replace any of Adobes.
Also a great artist made a good video about this subject. I fully recommend watching it if your interested.
A heads-up for anyone who uses Adobe Photoshop and is sensitive to flashing lights (seizures, migraines, etc.): about a week ago there was an update that for some users (including me) means that when you open any file, the whole canvas rapidly flashes black and white until you close the file.
If this could hurt you, please be careful, and maybe have someone else open a file first to see if your version has this glitch! It seems to be affecting mostly older computers. I'm still looking into how to fix it.
I had some fun with photoshop tonight fixing up this animation cell of Adam/the Beast after his transformation. If you look at the original cell, the 2nd image, you can see that the lighting and shadowing is incorrect to what animator Glen Keane intended, if you look at the third image; the light is intended to be from the bottom right and he’s meant to be viewed from below— you’re looking up at him. His right eye was also drifting away a bit, so I centered that and pushed up his mouth more to empathize the bottom of his chin.
You can really see the difference here
Does it work? That’s up to y’all. I always thought he was hot 🤷♀️
@bookishdruid
I would appreciate a reblog perhaps
EDIT: after some deranged nut operating on moon logic accused me of somehow contributing to corporate injustice against artists and spitting in the face of the animators who worked on this scene, I am forced to state that THIS WAS JUST FOF FUN. I’m not saying this edit is better than the original or that the movie gets bad marks on craftsmanship, I just wanted to share a silly photoshop edit. Dear god.
The fact that Velvet and Veneer were going to be bergens STILL boggle’s my mind, especially after watching Jon Magram’s storyboard on youtube I was determined to draw those designs of them in my style :-)
If both versions of Velvet met each other I feel like this is probably how it would go🫢
