The loth wolf, the purgils following the path that ultimately leads to Ezra all the while the music surging with Sabine's Suite. This reminds me heavily of both the old lothal star maps thrawn showed to Kallus, the mortis gods mural, and even a bit of the menu screens for Jedi fallen order

edit: unfortunately, new footage shows that when neuvilette's charged attack doesn't hit any enemies, the stars don't appear... so it might just be a random impact effect that vaguely resembles the star.

HOWEVER... footage from the live stream* shows that stars DO appear when he's powering up his charged attack and interestingly enough, they're surrounded by purple ousia energy even though neuvilette is a pneuma aligned character.

None of the characters in Honkai Star Rail have confirmed birthdays, except March if you want to count the day she was found as her birthday. This kind of makes sense in the game's context. Time doesn't work the same across all of space, and it's likely that every world uses a different calendar unless otherwise standardized by the IPC's Amber Eras (which aren't even consistent with each other to begin with), besides the moot point of a singular date being pretty insignificant to most of the universe in the grand scheme of existence.

However, I really like Genshin Impact's birthday mail sending you messages and gifts from the roster of playable characters. It's a shame HSR doesn't do that. The closest we've gotten to that is the mail where Silver Wolf "hacked" servers to send out 10 fuel to all players, but that was more so for shits and giggles as part of her promotional campaign during her banner.

What I'm trying to say is that I've now unofficially declared February 16th (or the 17th depending on your timezone) to be Yanqing's birthday. That's the day his Character Introduction was posted on Hoyolab, so that's kind of like the day he was "born" and introduced to us. And if that was the day he was found by the General Jing Yuan, that could make for a sad and joyful story too, what with being days after Yuanxiao/the Lantern Festival... I'm cooking, let me sit on this.

help!!! i have just discovered that wookieepedia lists day-lengths and year-lengths for a bunch of planets and that alderaan and tatooine are, of course, included. and that these day lengths and year lengths vary rather wildly from the galactic standard (aka 24 hrs / 365 days).

tatooine has a really long day - 34 hours. they have 2 suns. nights are short. it sounds like pure hell, but it makes sense. it’s also close to its suns and makes a full revolution every 304 days. checks out.

so. alderaan has a rly short day, only 18 hours. sure, i buy it. it’s got a standard year - 364 days. fine.

except the thing is that because of the way years are measured on those planets, despite luke and leia having been born literal minutes apart and being 19 standard years of age... leia is considered 25 years old on alderaan... and luke is... on tatooine... 16..................

Per the new sneak peek, Owen and Kendra have been together for "a few weeks."

In episode 5, Marjan says Owen has had his motorcycle for 3 weeks. He had it for at least a few days to a week prior to episode 1, so let's be charitable and say we're 2 weeks into the 8 week deadline as of episode 5.

Then Marjan leaves on her journey. We don't know how long she's gone, but everyone misses her so much, it has to be at least a week. I think it would make sense for it to be longer than that, but let's go with a week. That would put us 3 weeks into the 8 week deadline as of episode 9 (which is honestly ridiculous, but sure let's go with it).

Then Marjan gets shot and recovers enough to come back to work on light duty by episode 10. Let's call that another 2 weeks...again, it would make sense for it to be a lot longer, but I'm being as charitable as possible to the writers' conception of time here. We're at 5 weeks.

Now in episode 13, Kendra is going to tell us that she and Owen have been together for "a few weeks." So we're at 8 weeks MINIMUM. And realistically a whole lot longer. And we still have 5 more episodes to go. 😂
