Title: Like Silver
Summary: A companion series for Like Gold.
Sakura misses him so much. She misses the faint smell of woodsmoke and sage, and mismatched eyes captivating in their intensity and unfathomable depths. The Rinnegan is beautiful, soft lavender ringed by hypnotizing layers of circle and tomoe, but flecks of silver dance in his right, tiny asterisms bewitching in nature, if one gets close enough; she’d first noticed it when they were children at the Academy. She knows they're Itachi's now, a slightly different scattering of luminaries aglow in the deep pitch of obsidian, but they're still as enthralling to her as they had been back then. She dreams of that silver sometimes, recalls it any time she sees something similar in color or reflet.
Blank period, canon-compliant, Sakura-centric, some expanded plot points from Like Gold, fluff and pining, eventually becomes a smut fest with feelings.
Disclaimer: I did not write Naruto. This is a fan-made piece solely created for entertainment purposes.

Chapter 1/?: An Introduction to Electrocardiography
Sakura gazes out the window of her office, a pile of paperwork set aside for a poetic sort of procrastination, trying to indulge for once in a Konoha spring, though she's finding it arduous.
As pretty as it is this time of year, all she can manage to feel is wistful.
Hanami has come and gone already for the most part, though there are a few stubborn cherry blossom trees lingering at the tail end of their blooming. She can see one here from her window, up on the hillside that slopes towards Hokage Rock, clinging to the uneven land. She’s sure its roots have to be all twisted, a labyrinth of gnarled wood clinging to any scrap of land it can wind itself around as its branches and petals try against all odds to reach upwards into the open sky that she can’t take her eyes off of.
There’s a metaphor in there somewhere, but it’s one she doesn’t care to unpack.
This year was her twentieth viewing of her namesake, though Sakura obviously doesn't remember the first few. Her parents take great pride in the retelling of tales from those first few years of her life, the ones she was too little to remember. The highlights come up annually on her birthday without fail, how she grasped at the petals like they were something precious, clutched in her sticky little hands the entire day.
A framed photograph is perched on one of the built-in shelves of her parents' living room, of her and her father on her first birthday. He was holding her up on unsteady legs, ridiculously proud and pointing towards the camera where her mother had been trying to get her to look. Her short pink hair was flying absolutely everywhere, matching the fluttering petals and in-bloom cherry blossom tree in the background, chubby hands grasping upwards. Strawberry cake and frosting were smeared all over her cheeks. They’d had a picnic for her, at the park nearest to their house.
“We came home and cleaned you up, and then your father helped you water your tree for the first time, in the little pink watering pail you unwrapped earlier. You were so cute.” That’s what her mom says every year. Sakura has the sentence memorized at this point, could recite it on cue, if she needed to.
Her parents had planted a cherry blossom sapling in their backyard a few days after they brought her home from the hospital as a newborn, so the tree is around the same age she is. She used to spend time under it often, as a kid, and some of her earliest memories involve sprawling beneath it to study the heavens while her mother gardened. She would also sneak berries from the patch when her back was turned. Sometimes her dad would join in her pilferage, and they would sit beneath the tree like a couple of bandits with stained lips, though those first few years she can remember he barely fit underneath it, as tall as he is. Many a tickle fight had been had, shaded by those branches. She would read books there on nice afternoons, when she was a little older.
The tree is fully grown now, also on the final cusp of its blooming for the year, floriferous wood expanded outwards to drape her childhood stomping grounds in a sea of soft pink. They have a picnic under it every year, in her family’s backyard, when they celebrate her birthday together. Her actual birthday has come and gone, but her birthday dinner is two days from now. Her parents swung by her apartment on Sunday afternoon for a bit with outlandishly large cupcakes, but her mom had mentioned they’d do dinner and a gift on their usual night, Thursday, since it works so well with their schedules every other week.
“We have to have your picnic, under your tree, like always. It’s a tradition! My beautiful girl. I can’t believe you’re twenty. It seems like just yesterday you were only yay high,” her dad had told her, gesturing below his knees before hugging her too tightly, ruffling the hair she'd inherited from him before they left. The cupcakes were strawberry with cream cheese frosting, one of her favorite treats. They’d left her with four extra to enjoy between then and Thursday, one for each day if she wanted it, turning her birthday into more of a week-long affair than a one-day celebration.
She and Ino had demolished two of them while watching some of the terrible movies they love to hate together, later that evening. It had been a smorgasbord of strawberries, really, because they'd washed them down with strawberry daiquiris, sugary sweetness topped with ridiculous amounts of whipped cream. They'd sat on her balcony, after, sipping a little tipsily and just looking.
"You should try to enjoy your namesake more this year, Forehead. You're so busy that I'm not sure you've realized, but you've really grown into it," Ino had said, beckoning vaguely towards a Konoha beginning to bloom, renewed with a warm breeze, spring ushered in by a fluttering of pink petals. Ino likes to give compliments in roundabout ways, she’s learned over the course of their friendship; crass as the blonde can be, she does have her moments. Her words meant a lot to Sakura, so she’s trying to take them to heart, to stop and smell the cherry blossoms, so to speak. It won’t be long before Konoha crescendos into the sweltering heat of the summer.
She loves her parents and her friends. She really does.
But birthdays are weird, Sakura thinks.
Last year, Sasuke had sent her a letter on her birthday. She’s reread it so many times that she has it more than memorized; it’s stitched into the muscle tissue of her heart at this point, or maybe scarred into the lining of her aortic valve, sempiternal markings adorning the tunnels that sustain her, causing her breath to catch every time.
Sakura,
Hanami has come to the wilderness in the Land of Honey. Bees are awakening and foraging for the first pollen of the season, with which to begin again. Cherry blossom petals are everywhere, lining the pathways and floating on the water.
Happy birthday.
-Sasuke
It had been short, simple, and even a little poetic; she had cherished it, as she does all of his other letters. She’d cherished the pressed flower with it just as much; a cherry blossom, neatly flattened with a precision that screamed Sasuke, near exactly the same shade of pink as her hair.
Sakura had started crying when she unfolded the paper to reveal it sitting atop his words. His hawk had waited patiently at her office window for a response to be written and tied to its leg, perched atop the windowsill and watching the goings-on of the village below, absolutely no concept in its predator brain of how much she delights in seeing it fly, a graceful tether to the boy - now man - she has been in love with for ages.
Cherry blossom petals are everywhere. Is there a hidden meaning there, or is she making a mountain out of a molehill?
She’s tried not to read too much into the letters. She's not sure if he sends any to Naruto or not; she's too afraid to ask, because she'll either get a heart-pounding hope if he doesn't get them, or a soul-crushing disappointment if he does. She can't imagine him sending a yellow flower to Naruto, but he may very well have sent him a different gift for his birthday.
Maybe he just thought she would like a flower, which she did - it’s pressed for safekeeping, along with all of his other correspondence to her, sporadically and chronologically throughout a book she keeps on her nightstand, An Introduction to Electrocardiography. It is her take on an album of small things she holds close to her own heart, things she wishes she could read in his. Sakura didn’t want to buy an actual album for such a thing; that felt too formal, for something as ambiguous as her ties to Sasuke, overflowing on her end as they may be. So she’d settled on a book about deciphering the heart’s tells based on science only, electrical impulses and repolarization, the sizes and positions of the chambers, how to diagnose conditions utilizing one’s findings. It’s one she doesn’t need access to anymore, extremely familiar with EKGs after years of study. She’d wanted it to be something no-nonsense, all hard facts and data on how to read activity plotted over time.
Evidence-based. Are letters evidence, though? She’s not sure that would hold up as empirical proof in any of the scholarly journals she’s studied or submitted work to since beginning her research. She thinks wryly, though, based on what she has witnessed get published, that scientific verification doesn’t always matter if you know the right people.
She’s thought many times sifting through it that perhaps it is too optimistic, too hopeful of a book subject for such a thing. Sakura has agonized over it, frankly, wondering whether it was an inappropriate choice.
...But now that they’re in there, it might ache worse to move them somewhere else.
It’s the last day of March now, and she didn’t get a letter this month, which is unusual, because she’s gotten one near each month in the time that he’s been away. She’s paged through the book a few times over the past several days, rereading and admiring the preserved sakura blossom, frozen in suspended animation indefinitely on a page about precordial leads.
Sakura hadn’t really expected anything from him for her birthday, other than a monthly letter like he usually sends... but this year she didn’t even get that. She’s trying really hard to not be disappointed. She has so much to be thankful for, in the grand scheme of things...
...But the petals of the cherry blossom from last year have faded over time, she’d evaluated yesterday, sitting in her bedroom. It might be like her, always pressed in a book, fading whilst stuck indefinitely between the boundless teeth of academia. There is always more data to record, more evidence, with which one can prove or disprove their findings.
No letter this month, though. Nothing to record, no new evidence.
It might be time to move the letters somewhere else, she thinks pensively. Maybe a place where she’s not tempted to look at them all the time; their placement in the book, small scraps of paper that stick out in only a couple of places, makes it easy to go back and reread them. She’s pretty sure she has an empty shoebox in her closet that she could move them to, in a pile rather than catalogued between pages rife with information and a fragile sort of hope. Maybe she’ll do it tonight, put it up in the far right corner of the upper shelf, shoved towards the back so she can’t reach it without the stool, so she’s not tempted whenever the next bout of heartsickness slams into her like one of Tsunade-shishou’s fists used to. She needs to go by the library after work first, to return some things, but maybe when she gets home, she’ll do it. She could eat a cupcake, too; that might make it a little easier.
There’s an extremely unique necklace in an antique shop she visits with Ino and Sai from time to time, and occasionally on her own, over on the northeast side of town. It’s a salt-and-pepper diamond, dark grey with inclusions, dainty and set in what must be a hand-fabricated setting. It hangs from a silver chain, towards the back of a display case filled with other vintage and distinctive pieces, but it’s the only one she ever finds herself drawn to. It is so similar to his right eye, dark smoke near black, speckled with beguiling silver startling in its clarity. The bevel cut reveals new flecks dependent on the angle at which you view it.
Sakura studies it closely on each visit, because it is so hauntingly breathtaking and it reminds her of him.
Ino has said it’s not her color, and that she should stick to warm tones and gold, for which she is better suited; Sakura has not confessed to her why it catches her eye so much. Sai has agreed with his girlfriend on the coloring note, sensitive as he is to such things, but the way he studies her every time she tears herself away from it makes her suspect he knows exactly why it captivates her so. It’s been sitting there for years at this point; she has to mentally talk herself out of buying it on each visit. It’s beautiful, but she would spend far too much time gawking at it, and it might hurt more with extended study than the gentle tugging at her heart she experiences when she’s in that old building throughout tiny fragments of lackadaisical afternoons.
Sasuke has been gone for a long time. She hopes he's finding the peace he's been seeking, that he's seeing the world with new eyes just as he'd imagined. She thinks of him every day, sends out little orisons like petals in the breeze in the hopes that they’ll find him, wherever he is.
I wonder where he is now.
Try as she does to enjoy the breath of spring Konoha is right now, and her namesake as Ino said, all she can seem to do is shift her vision to the sky, hoping against hope for a glimpse of a familiar bird-of-prey that will stay an ample amount of time for her to craft a response, before it abvolates away for another month.
Sakura smiles, then, close to laughing at the absurdity of it all, because she is so predictable. She loves this village despite its many flaws and challenges, despite the things about it she and Naruto and Kakashi-sensei and Ino and even Tsunade-shishou, off in the Land of Wind, are trying to change, but even after so many years, she’s still pining for something beyond it, something in the wilds of the sky just beyond her reach.
There’s always next year, she supposes, pupils drawn again towards the outstretched branches of the cherry blossom tree on the hill, before trailing her eyes along further. She can grow a little more to try to reach him. When she was little, she had wanted to grow tall so she could try to touch a star, like the branches of the tree in her backyard did when she and her father laid beneath them on balmy summer nights. He would tell her ridiculous stories about all of the constellations, things she knew had to be untrue, even at the ripe age of five. Precocious, he’d always called her, but in the loving, joking manner he had.
Her gaze follows the horizon, leisurely taking in the rest of her home. It really is a lovely day, despite her yearning. Spring is here again, and today's is a gentle sunset, one last little bit of sunlight with which to conclude March. The temperature is already spiking, unusually warm for early spring, but summers in the Land of Fire are always hot. She really should finish her paperwork, but it’s hard to find the motivation just yet.
Something possesses her, then, to turn her neck more, take in more of the skyline's continuation. She wants to see all of it.
And then Sakura’s eyes fall on an achingly familiar figure cloaked all in black, perched only a roof away and observing her, and she thinks she must have nodded off, because she has to be dreaming.
She subtly pinches herself in the millisecond of time that follows, but she is very much awake.
The words are blooming out of her throat before she can even process what’s happening, exultation sinking into her every vein. “Sasuke-kun!” She moves to crank her window open the rest of the way, and he hops from the neighboring roof down into her office, all nimble legerity that she still thinks has to be a mere mirage conjured from her memories. When he straightens to his full height, she muses that he has to have grown taller. The mere sound of his footsteps on the tile flooring, as familiar a refrain to her as if he’d just walked out of the village yesterday, are a treasure beyond price.
“Sakura.” His voice is a rich timbre that she has desperately felt the absence of; hearing him say her name almost makes her want to cry. She smiles wider instead, to the extent that it almost hurts, and her gaze latches hungrily onto the very eye she was just daydreaming about. A storm of soot and silver, beveled into countless fragments like some kind of dark, rustic diamond, and so staggeringly beautiful that she’s pretty sure she’s blushing just from beholding it. Gods, it's not fair for someone to be so handsome.
“When did you get back?” She asks, utterly overcome with joy. This is better than a letter or any birthday gift she could have received, brighter than any star she’s beheld.
“Just now.” He’s smiling, a small and subtle upturn of lips that is so characteristic of him. Then his words hit her, and her face must be getting redder.
Just now? As in…
“I’m sorry I missed your birthday,” he adds before she can simmer on that for too long, and she has to blink in bewilderment, because that is the absolute last thing she expected him to say. Sakura wonders how much heat can creep into one’s face before they spontaneously combust.
Then she realizes she should probably respond, as humans tend to do in conversations. “Oh! Um… it’s okay.” She folds her hands in front of her shyly, grinning like an idiot. “Thank you for remembering.”
There is a lengthy moment in which she just soaks him in, hoping he can read in her eyes how much she’s missed him. He is still so beautiful, prized eyes and aristocratic angles that have solidified a bit more into the face of a man in the time that’s passed. His hair is different now, covering his Rinnegan eye. His cloak is a little more threadbare, too. He’s tall.
His expression, normally unreadable, is calm. Content, even.
There’s a question nagging at her that she knows she needs to ask. She tries not to bite her lip as she asks it, braces herself for the possibility of not liking the answer.
“Are you… just back for a little while?”
Did you find what you were searching for?
He gazes at her for so long that she thinks he may be glimpsing her soul, peeking into her ventricles to see his own words immortalized there, seared into her core to be felt each time her blood pumps.
“...For more than a while.” And she smiles the biggest she ever has. Oh, this is so much better than a letter or a gift.
“Well, welcome back, Sasuke-kun. It’s… very good to see you again.” It feels as if a piece of her heart has been returned to her, something of the divine stitched back into her chest and full to bursting in omneity.
There is a pause, and then he’s reaching his hand out towards hers, initiating physical contact with a touch that is feather light, so gentle she thinks she is going to start sobbing.
She can’t help it; she pulls him into a hug, tinged with elation. She hopes he doesn’t mind too much; he stiffens for a brief moment, but then settles, wrapping his arm around her and settling his head atop of hers, and she could die happy right there, embracing him with feelings momentarily set free from where they’ve been whelved into her chest.
He smells faintly like sage and smoked cedar, just as she remembered. She can hear his heart thumping, a strong cadence, and it grounds her. Oh, she’s missed him.
“...I’m home, Sakura.” Soft words float above her head, and she can feel the vibration of them through his chest, right by her ear.
Oh, she’s crying.
Sasuke lets her embrace him for a long time, for which she is so grateful. She knows he’s not one for physical contact; it’s a privilege to be allowed into his space even for a single second, let alone for an extended period.
She draws back eventually, glancing up at him again through the tears still collecting in her eyes. Her face blazes when he reaches to wipe them away tenderly with a calloused hand, careful and with a lenity that she’s always known was there, hidden under the surface.
She could just stare at him for hours, she thinks as he lowers his hand. He’s still looking down at her with one of the softest expressions she has ever seen him wear. She really hopes she’s not dreaming.
It’s tremendously hard to get it together, but she tries, because she doesn’t want to spend the entire time crying, not when he's finally back. There are so many questions she’d like to ask him that she’s finding it a challenge to pick one with which to lead.
He surprises her by speaking first, quietly. “I… had something made for you.”
It takes a moment for the words to compute.
Made for me?
Her processing speed must be exceptionally slow, stuck in the utter mush her insides have become, because he adds, “...For your birthday.”
Sakura blinks, and furrows her brows in confusion. “Made… for me?”
He nods. “...I’m sorry it’s late.” The way he speaks it is cryptic, like the apology weighs more than one needed for a tardy gift. Doesn’t he know she doesn’t care? He could have showed up in July with something for her, and it still would have made her knees weak and her heart thump furiously in her chest.
Made for me? She’s still stuck on that sentiment as he breaks eye contact and turns to rummage through his satchel, beneath his cloak.
Sasuke pulls out a medium-sized flat box, a simple white, and she doesn’t know what she expected, but it wasn’t that. Something that comes in a box is a lot more formal than a pressed cherry blossom, something more… permanent.
She reaches out to take it on autopilot, and is stupidly distracted by the way his hand brushes against hers, a small spark that makes something in her quake. She wonders if he felt it, too.
Sakura clutches the box with both hands like her life depends on it, murmuring softly, “Thank you, Sasuke-kun.” She’ll wait until later to open it, after he’s left; whatever it is, she doesn’t want to embarrass him, and she also isn’t sure she can tear her eyes away from him just yet, anyways.
Is it just the lighting in her office, or are his ears a little flushed? She didn’t notice that before; maybe he’s had a drawn-out journey back. She wonders how much ground he covered today, if he’s still winded. He might need to rest.
But then he mumbles, voice husky with what she assumes is disuse, “...You should open it.”
His words echo in her head again. I… had something made for you.
“Okay,” she answers in a hushed voice, so she doesn’t scare him away, shifting slightly to set the box on her desk carefully. Suddenly she is very nervous, anticipation settling into her gut.
When she lifts the lid, she swears her heart ceases beating.
The most exquisitely intricate uchiwa fan she has ever laid eyes upon is placed in the box before her.
It’s carved into a likeness of a cherry blossom tree, branches twisting lissomely into bamboo framework, impossibly fine. A different set of words is reverberating in her head now.
You should try to enjoy your namesake more this year, Forehead. You're so busy that I'm not sure you've realized, but you've really grown into it.
Made for me?
“O-oh.” Sakura is not sure what she expected, but it wasn’t this. She fights back the tears, biting her lip and wide eyes soaking it all in, enjoying her namesake in a way that is entirely unprecedented in its sheer severity. The amount of time it would have taken for someone to sculpt and bind and sew is unimaginable; every detail is finely wrought, flawless down to the silk and stitching, lacquered and carved pale wood shifting effortlessly into eighty slivers of bamboo, intricately webbing silk together with the lithe grace of gossamer. It’s a cherry blossom tree, petals and all, pearlescent thread shifting slightly, gorgeously in the light, unimaginable detail. She has stitched people back together countless times over the course of years, but even her expert dexterity would look like a child’s first embroidery stitching in comparison. The stamen within the petals are nearly more detailed and finely milled than an actual, real life cherry blossom, plexure sutured in a fashion so baronial that it’s impossible to believe human hands were even responsible for it.
The silk. Oh, the silk. The color shift bears a striking resemblance to the Uchiha insignia. This is not a gift one gives to a teammate.
Oh, she's crying.
This has to be a dream, some kind of paracosm her heart thought up to give her brain the high of a lifetime. Hope burgeons and unfolds in her chest cavity, bleeding into her extremities like the pale pink shifting into red before her eyes. She’s never, ever going to forget this, not even if she lives to be one hundred years old.
Made for me?
She picks it up with disbelieving hands, grasping it more carefully than she’s ever held anything in her entire life, as if she’s going to wake up at any moment and it will dissolve into synapse, lost in the hazy juncture of morning the way one tends to lose awareness of the contents of a dream upon coming to lucidity. To her absolute bewilderment, it stays solid in her hands, a finery made even more unbelievable by touch. The grooves of the carving are as gentle as his hand had been on hers earlier. She thinks it would have had to be commissioned at least a few months in advance, outlandishly expensive. She’s never seen silk like this. She doesn't know; she's smart, but she's no artisan. Maybe she should ask Sai. She's crying.
She adores it.
Tears won’t stop welling in her eyes; she thinks they may be escaping from a tender spot inside her chest that’s been reserved for him since she was a child, a leak in a metaphorical dam. She takes a steadying breath, blinks, almost has them conquered. Get a grip, Sakura.
Then Sasuke’s hand is on hers, gently turning the handle over.
Her name is carved into the pale wood, on the back in formal calligraphy, Sakura daintier and more perfect than she could ever write it, as if it had just been uncovered in one of the inner layers rather than whittled there manually. Sasuke presses her fingers to it before loosening his grip, and in that second it feels as though his lost hand is in the wood, caressing her from split atoms in the grooves from the other side.
The tears spill over her cheeks - she admits defeat - intricacy of the entire thing blurring out of focus but still somehow burned into her retinas for all eternity.
Made for me, made for me, made for me-
Her voice finds her after a few more tears fall. “It’s beautiful.” Her voice is barely above a whisper, overwhelmed with complete and utter awe, trying desperately to choke down a sob. “Thank you, Sasuke-kun. I… I’ll treasure it. Always.” She cradles the fan closer to her chest, her heart - maybe An Introduction to Electrocardiography wasn’t a poorly-chosen book, after all; there is much to be read from something this precious - and regards him with watery eyes. She wishes she wasn’t crying; the distortion of the tears is making it hard to see the silver she’s loved and missed so much.
His hand lifts to her face after a moment, and to her surprise, he wipes away her tears again. She barely catches the something-more in his eyes, then, through the waterworks, precious metal flashing and pouring into the words scarred into her ventricles to live there forever, fortified in silver, but he is looking at her so -
“...Always,” he agrees, voice a little breathless, sparking scintilla near hypnotizing her in their luster, and he seems so happy -
Then he leans down to press his lips gently to hers, and this is better than her heart stopping, like when she opened the box. This time, her heart soars, and she touches a star she’s been dreaming of for eons.

The Will of Ancient Gods part 2
Part one link
Chloe looked at the girl in front of her. "Alya you are a coward. A foolish one at that. You refused to listen to the girl you claimed as a best friend. You refused to look at the facts preferring fools gold. You live streamed your best friend taking the ultimate sacrifice. Whatever they decide your punishment no one will pitty you or that liar."
No one said a word. They all knew they were at fault. Not that Miss Bustier ever actually said anything against her.
Chloe look at the empty seat beside Alya. Sighing she moved to the back with Nino and Nathaniel. "You two are possibly the only ones that will get out of this unscathed. It's a shame you let love blind you Nino." Chloe says sitting down. Alya and Nino had a very public fight after the live stream but before the truth came out. Now it was public knowledge what they had done. Celebrity after Celebrity came forward after the first announcement of the Gods awakening. Everyone denied Lila's claims. Lawyers of the Celebrities were getting together. The school was being investigated. The Justice League sent representatives to negotiate with the Gods. They were trying to help the class.
"Diana we do not blame the League for this misshap but you must understand the consequences for harming a chosen." Tikki sighs. "Suger cube the youngest" Plag states looking past Diana too the bat clan. "A pure destruction soul." Tikki gasps. "He's hurt but he will heal in her presents" Plag states.
"You all plan to stay to train the young ones?" Tikki asks. Diana nods. "Then he shall join in the battle. As you know there must be a black cat and he will be rid of the lingering effects of the pit." Several members of the group flinch at the word pit.
Lila is cursed to only be able to tell the truth and has no filter. She can not shut up. She actually does time but not much since she is a minor. She is put in a school for troubled teens and has to do a lot of comunity service. She is forced to make a public apology befor being sent away from Paris to live with her grandmother.
Alya is cursed to only be able to tell the truth but no one will believe her if she does not have proof. Her blog is torn to shreds effectively destroying her dream of being a reporter. She along with most of the class has to pay for the destroyed designs. She also has fines and comunity service. Plus being grounded for a long time.
Adrian is cursed with pink and black unruly hair and randomly being forced to state his feelings. He is also pulled from school. He is informed that if he works on the new temple an hour a day his hair will eventually be normal.
Gabriel Agrest can not exit the mansion unless he is ill and must seek medical attention... It takes a while for him to figure it out. As hawkmoth he is cursed with a really bad stutter and tripping over magic bannanas.
Chloe is not cursed as she alread had a shrine for pollen.
Nino and Nathaniel do not have to pay fines for the designs. Nino is cursed to have the last bite of his favorite foods to fast like pure salt. Nathaniel is cursed to have a green cowlick. Both will go away as the temple is worked on.
Others have things like losing place in book constantly. Food always burnt. Having alergic reaction to favorite food. Random things disappear and reappear. Most of the class leaves Paris after their curses are removed. They aren't exactly on good terms with the citizens of Paris.
When Marinette woke up a week later, Damian was instructed to stay with her until it was decided were they would attend school. Her parents hugged her for a long time. Her and Damian get body guards since Paris is now aware of her identity. The citizens of Paris came together to make a new temple for the Kwamis. Public outcry against the class and school eventually leads to a lot of different school reforms across the country and most of the schools staff being replaced.
The new team consistes of Ryuuko, Viperion, Carapace, Queenie (redesigned outfit Chloe), Ladybug, Night(Damian), Foxie (Penny), Runner (horse miraculous Jagged), and Bunnix(from a different timeline).
Nathaniel, Nino, and Chloe are forgiven both by Marinette and Paris. Marc and Nathaniel get married in MDC original suits. Adrian eventually becomes kinda friends with them again.
"The sunset is beautiful from here" ladybug sighs her head resting in Nights lap. "Not as beautiful as you my angel" Night replies.
"You know it's kinda funny. I became famous as Ladybug then as MDC then as Marinette then all three all during the worst time of my life only to lead to the best thing in my life" ladybug leans up and kisses Night.
"Love is something wrong? You have a worried look." Damian says looking down at the princess of Paris.
"Well I know we don't have to worry much since Hawkmoth has retired but I'm nervous since I will not be able to be active in a few weeks" she explains moving his hand to her belly.
Nights face lights up in shock "Dick is going to kill me." Ladybug giggles.

BACKSTORY:
“We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.”
Iman Amari lived in the darkness. Her sins pulling her deeper into a life she did not ask for. Bond and chained to her vampire that kept her tame and obedient. Locked away from those who had loved her; now either forgotten or dead. She was nothing more then fodder either for breeding or sustenance.  Soon, it was  the only life she had known the only one she wanted. One night, she was roused to the sound of metal breaking and the soft squeals of worn henges on old doors. Iman woke to find her restraints broken and the door to her cell left ajar. In the rarest moment of clarity, the young woman ran. Bare feet padded against the cool concrete. Her heart pounds against her chest but adrenaline drove her forward.
Following a path she had never taken but was some how sure it was the right one. Iman didn’t stop running, not when the cool night air hit her skin and filled her lungs. Nor when twigs and pebbles bore into the soles of her feet. Not till she stumbled upon a small camp of hunters; humans  who had taken her in.  “No one can escape the farms, those who try aren’t long for this world.” she would tell them. “ But you did mama, how?” this was his brother’s question. There was no answer at first; the barest of smiles played on her lips. Leaning forward she kissed Omar’s forehead first and then Ezekiel. “ It was a miracle.” Omar looked on in wonder after each telling; while Ezekiel wore a deep frown on his young face.  When ever he heard the stories of her life he couldn’t make heads or tails of it. He knew the world they lived in but it all seemed so far fetched. She'd been addicted to drugs, used by devilish creatures. She should have died: Iman Amari should not be alive but she was, how? It was a conundrum an eight year old couldn’t  understand.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
The Hideout is all he’s known as home. Now fifteen, he watches his twin brother Omar grow and train. Watches their step-father train Omar up. He is bigger than most,  bigger than Ezekiel. He doesn’t have the taste for fighting. Not because he’s afraid - though a part of him is. He doesn’t crave violence but he knows it is a necessity. Joseph makes him watch though; not to be cruel but to teach him.  “I’m not strong like you, I can’t do it.” is his explanation as he throws his practice sword to the ground. “ Don’t be a baby, Zeki.” his brothers words are taunting and cruel. There are people watching, pretty girls he wants to impress with his power and boys who’s respect he wishes to gain. Not that he didn’t have it, even with his younger sister Ezekiel is called the runt by his brother and friends. Though never around their parents, thats how he knows when one is near. Eyes sting as he watch his brother and company run off. Frustrations fuels him as he punches the wall. Again, and again until strong hands  take hold of his shoulder.
“ I have something for you,” Joseph voice is commanding but there is a softness that cools Ezekiel’s anger. Turning to face the man that tower over his five foot form. Dark eyes widen in delight as a small-- some might say sickly looking dog  placed in his arms.    “Even the weakest in the pack can grow and become strong.”  Ezekiel isn’t sure why this gift is so precious or why what is said by Joseph stays with him but they do. Joseph words are prophetic-  he does become strong. Stronger than any would expect —except perhaps his mother and his real father. Over the years he grows, his goodness and light shining through. What he does he does for love, love of family or friends for those in the hideout and lost sheep that have yet to be found.  There is something stirring  within him, though he doesn’t know it. A force that isn’t his own. pushing him toward the path of  the light and righteous. Dictating decision he believes are his own - though his thoughts are noble. There is a higher purpose at play here and soon his life will no longer be his,  if it ever was. He is a tool to use.  He is a weapon to wield.  He will become a crusader.
A Little Deeper:
- Ezekiel leaves the hideout at 18, this is around the time that his mother Iman, stepfather Joseph and brother Omar are killed during a scouting mission. Killed by outsiders that had ambushed them.
- When offered the chance to kill one of the outsiders who killed his brother and mother, Ezekiel couldn’t bring himself to do it. He wanted to, the desire was there but for some reason he resisted the urge and allowed those in power to enact  justice for Josphe, Iman and Omar.
- He is completely unaware of his angelic lineage or that he is a Nephilim
-Married at the age of twenty-five and has been faithfully so over the last five years. His half sisters were both at the union.
-  Some with in the hideout still call him runt or Zeki but the nickname is endearing to him
- Recently, he’s been feeling pain in his chest and tingling in his finger tips and isn’t sure why.
-His Akita is pretty damn big some would say abnormally so.
CONNECTIONS:
*important connections towards Ezekiel’s development. Feel free to reach out if interested in taking  plots with * next to them ( will eventually put them up for WC :D
- *Love you for a thousand years: This is Ezekiel’s wife. He is fiercely protective of her though maybe he doesn’t need to be. Trust her more than most .
- You got a friend in me: Old hideout buddies he probably is still in contact with. Though discreetly.
- The darker the berry: A demon or fallen that was at one point very tempting to Ezekiel probably is still tempting. Some how he resists and it can be rather frustrating... for them.
- *Wise old sage: (Praesul) Though they are not at all old or at least they don’t appear to be. This is a  connection that will help Ezekiel towards his awakening/ enlightenment.
- *Always and forever: ( familial ) Zeki has two younger half sisters. They were very close at one point before he left to live on his own. And at least on his part, he tries to keep that closeness. There might be some bad feelings with him leaving so soon after their mother’s death.

I have an idea: basically, each of the DR1 kids gets sucked into a different horror movie, and they all become the protagonist of that movie, & have to keep themselves and the rest of the victims alive & defeat the killer. What kind of horror movie would each of them be in? How would they go about defeating the killer? I think Mondo & Sakura would defeat it by fighting their killers, Toko would use a magic spell book to banish hers, ect.
I think I'm the only mod with extensive knowledge of horror movies, I hope I can do your ask justice while in a funk. If you want any of these expanded upon just ask!
Tumblr media
Makoto: Makoto would land himself in a Hellraiser movie (look it up if you love graphic body horror and cosmic horror). Getting ahold of the infamous puzzle box, The Lament Configuration, he'd just fiddle with it without knowing what he was doing, using it as a stress toy. He liked the soft melody that played as he moved each piece, and one night while in the shower he'd be manipulating the box when suddenly the room grew ice cold and light seeped from every single corner. He brought forth a small gash of cenobites. Looking upon him, they could not believe that someone so small and untempted could have even held the Lament Configuration. Makoto of course was all kinds of freaked out, being naked in the same cold room as 4 leather bound bleeding freaks. He fumbled with the box, reconfiguring it to try and put them back. Sadly, Makoto just summoned more cenobites. Ones whose flesh twisted unnaturally into various shapes, others with no eyes or mouths. He couldn't comprehend what was happening, and opted to just ask the least bodily frightening one. Coincidentally, this one looked like a pin cushion. This cenobite spoke with an oddly warm voice, instructing him on how to send them all back to where they belong. Makoto followed the instructions carefully, and finally sent the terrifying ghouls home to their Leviathan. He promptly pitched the box out a window, where a hobo picked it up out of the street and turned into a bone dragon and flew off into the night. Kirigiri would never believe him. He didn't believe him.
Komaru (hush she doesn't get enough attention): Komaru would be stuck in Suspiria, having been sent away to a dance academy. She'd make friends with some of the staff and girls also attending, and learn of weird occurrences and a few deaths that had happened. Over time she would figure out the hidden secrets of the academy, and find out that the owner of the academy was actually a really old witch. She would try to run away, but learn quickly that was not an option. In an odd turn of events she'd find the sleeping owner, and stab the hell out of her (fittingly invisible) body. The rest of the coven would of course crumble, and she'd go home alive and wanting nothing to do with dance ever again.
Kyoko: Our Kirigiri would be entrapped in an episode of an Alfred Hitchcock Thriller show. She'd be a detective of course, working to learn the identity of a killer who had been targeting women who live in a very specific apartment building. It was just reasonable deduction, though what she did not account for was herself becoming a target. When Kirigiri would have the killer cornered and questioned, she tried to overpower her and strangle her. Kirigiri having none of that smashed an ashtray over his head, killing him. Makoto was never told that this was how the case ended.
Touko/Syo: This human 2-for-1 deal would end up in Child's Play. Chucky would come into their possession while Touko was writing a horror-romance novel and researching what it's like to have a human shaped doll that actually was a demon that would only take for at midnight and--- you get the idea. After the creepy little doll started to do some intensely unsettling things, Syo took the wheel and threatened the possessed doll with evisceration. It took no time for Chuck to show his true colors, one being the red of his blood trickling down the wall from where it was pinned by a pair of scissors.
Byakua: Togami would be trapped in The Shining, slowly losing his mind in the massive Overlook Hotel. He'd see all kinds of visions, images of his loved ones and people his didn't know butchered in great detail. He'd see a laughing woman decaying in a bathtub, mere moments after seeing her humming away and beckoning him to her. He'd see Fukawa hung in the middle of the ballroom, only to glance away and back to nothing at all. He lost his mind, almost. In a night of desperation, he set the hotel on fire and fled, any visions he had fading as he got further away. The hotel lay burned, and Togami is still missing.
Chihiro: Managing to move into a gated community, Fujisaki thought he was getting into a safe place. He thought it would all be fine. What he did not account on was someone trying to turn him into a cyborg that was a submissive little girl. Needless to say, it took very little time for him to escape capture and take control of all the other cybertronic captives. In spectacular fasion, Fujisaki took over an entire community of monsters with an army of Cybernetic women. Good for him!
Mondo: Mondo would get himself in a ghostly situation like what was seen in Paranormal Activity. Instead of getting scared shitless, he'd visit a nearby Church and get some holy water, 8 silver rings, a few bundles of sage, and some seals for protection. The moment he'd be pulled out of bed by an unseen force or something similar, he'd come out swinging with holy water soaked fists and silver rings. He placed a seal in every room, and burned sage within each one, still swinging away wherever he heard footsteps. He was never haunted ever again, but he hasn't taken off the rings. Just in case.
Kiyotaka: He'd land himself in a camp-based slasher film as a straight laced counselor, being spared any harm for not being immoral. He'd probably take out the killer after finding some evidence of some kind. Probably a mask and bloodied weapons. Taka would send everyone still alive home on account of the murders, save for the killer. He'd take a final stand, backed by a group of police officers. Why would he endanger himself? Heroism like that isn't meant for a camp environment.
Aoi: this swimmer would get stuck in a short film called The Raft, as seen in Creepshow 2. She'd go skinny dipping in a nice secluded lake where nobody else would bother her, stopping on a wooden barge in the middle of the lake. From there, she'd notice a churning black patch floating around the lake. It looked like it was just being moved by the breeze. She dove back in for a few laps around the lake to warm up, when the tar started to move and follow her. The next time she was on the barge, the tar had gotten closer and was on the other side of the lake. Sensing something wasn't right, Asahina watched the tar move close to a duck that had landed in the water. The tar bubbled up and over the duck, taking it under. Seeing this, Asahina dove into the lake and beat her legs as fast as she could, not stopping until she was ashore and driving outta there. The tar didn't even have the chance to catch her.
Sakura: She'd be hunted by a Yautja of Predator fame, noting she was a formidable fighter among humans. Sakura and the Yautja fought hard, both taking blow after blow. Both bleeding and battered, it was a draw. After a rest, the honor bound pair traded honorable partings. The Yautja learned new hand to hand techniques and Sakura was given a mark on her cheek that meant (roughly) in English "Strong Friend" and a set of bracers made of a light and strong metal.
Mukuro: Mukuro would be in a Purge situation, picking off anyone trying to take her neighborhood year after year. Pretty simple all things considered. She never left rooftops unless it was to block roads with cars and take out hard to hit targets by hand.
Hifumi: Yamada would awaken an AI program that would take over his whole life, and be madly in love with him. Yamada, being Yamada, was overly okay with this. He'd eventually be stuck in a VR sim with his AI darling. He defeated the antagonist by loving his 2-D yandere girlfriend, who would have thought?
Celestia: She'd have inadvertently been hexed by an old woman while playing poker. This being a Drag Me To Hell scenario, Celes just took a gamble and payed the woman back before the curse got any worse. It subsided quickly, and they continued to play cards every Thursday. Anytime Celes won, she'd a cursed until the following Thursday. This almost friendly exchange between the two was enriching to the old woman, taking Celes under her wing as a practitioner of black magic. Couldn't have ended much better.
Leon: Leon would be firmly lodged in a sci-fi original movie called Werehog (not a real movie probably). He'd be friends with a man that would change into a human sized black and red hedgehog at the sight of the full moon. Taking all of his silver piercings, he melted them down into a ball and hit it like a base ball to kill his cursed friend.
Hagakure: This big ol dumb would be the one character who'd live through any movie or show. I'd like to do an entire ask dedicated to to him if you'd like.
Sayaka: She'd be a final girl in The Evil Dead, as in she'd pitch the spooky book into a roaring fire the moment she heard creepy Latin or Sumerian whispering from nowhere. After throwing the book, she'd run out of the cabin and never look back. Gladly, nothing was awoken in those woods. Not yet.
Junko: This loony would be in a Saw movie, basically killing off all the other people stuck with her in any and every puzzle. Upon making it to the end, and being free, she'd even critique Jigsaw's methods. Nobody said she had to be a good person right?

5: Introductions
Nerves that were uncharacteristic of her were flitting around in her stomach, as Usagi tugged at her and Mamoru's arms, pulling them toward Crown parlor. "Ooh, I can't wait to introduce you to my friends! Another senshi! This is so exciting!" the tiny blonde bubbled, as the sliding doors parted for the trio. "How many others are there?" Kat asked, betraying her own nerves. "Well, there's..." Usagi stopped to think, counting silently on her fingers. "Ten of us? If you include Chibimoon and myself." "Ten?!" She was not expecting that many. "Oh! But don't worry, not everybody is here all the time. Haruka and Michiru and Setsuna and Hotaru kind of like to... keep to themselves. And Chibimoon is in the future with Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion," she continued to babble on. "Endymion? Neo Queen...?" Kat stopped walking, and looked up at her brother, who went by the same name in a previous life, with her, and Princess Serenity. Usagi stopped walking and looked back at the siblings. "Eh... uhm... yeah. So... Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion are me and Mamo-chan in the future. And Chibiusa is their... our daughter." Usagi poked her two pointer fingers together a couple of times, sounding slightly embarrassed.
It was Kat's turn for her mouth to fall open slightly, at a complete loss for words. So Usagi continued. "Chibiusa - Chibimoon - comes and visits us here, in the past, sometimes. She also comes to see Hotaru - they're best friends, you see." Kat closed her eyes for a moment. She just spent the past few months trying to wrap her head around her past. But there was a future world she had to think about too? She couldn't help but smile, though. The idea that the prince and princess still existed in another time made her happy. "Well, I can't wait to meet her sometime." "I guess that would make her your niece!" Usagi exclaimed, excitedly, now that she knew she didn't freak Kat out. "So, then, if she's from the future... Does she already know about me?" The question tumbled from Kat's lips before she could swallow it. It didn't want to impose on their lives in any way, and that question almost felt too close to the line. Usagi and Mamoru exchanged an unsure glance. "Eh... She hasn't said anything about you, before," Usagi started, carefully. "Yeah, but, I only became aware of your existence after you did. So maybe, your... awakening will start to spark something in all of our memories?" Mamoru was quick to offer. "Yeah, yeah!" Usagi agreed just as quickly. She grabbed Kat's and Mamoru's hands, pulling them along again, as she walked backwards towards a booth full of four other girls and two... cats? "Usagi-chan!" A blonde with a red bow stood up, beaming. All the girls looked up at the sound of Usagi's announcement. They looked like they were going to greet her, but their voices stuck in their throats at the sight of the newcomer. The girl with the blue bob spoke up first. "Who's your new friend, Usagi?" Kat suddenly felt very under the microscope. All she had planned on doing was meeting her brother today. But she'd already met him, his fiancé - the moon princess - heard of their daughter, and she was meeting other senshi, that she had only had a very faint knowledge of just until an hour ago. Her face felt hot - was she blushing? "This is Roun Katrina! She's... well..." Usagi stopped again, looking up at Kat and Mamoru, as if asking them to finish explaining for her. Mamoru cleared his throat and put his free hand on Kat's shoulder. "This is my sister, from the Silver Millennium." "Whaaat!?" All four girls - and the cats - cried at once, in disbelief. "Your sister!?" the raven-haired girl repeated, the words almost sounding funny on her tongue. "Mamoru, honestly, how long have you been keeping this a secret from us?" she demanded. "He didn't know," Kat was quick to jump in. "I just... found him today. I only got my memories back a few months ago." "Right around the time Galaxia... killed me." Mamoru added. "Wait, what!?" Kat's head snapped up. "You died again?" Mamoru quickly put up his hands in defense. "Yeah... When you showed me your memories, I saw more than just our past, I saw your life up until... well, today, really." "Kat is a sailor senshi, just like us!" Usagi added, with much excitement. The girls began throwing a barrage of questions at Mamoru and Katrina. "Here, here, let me just show you," Kat offered. She glanced around, there weren't many people in the Crown parlor, so she felt fairly safe letting the other girls see her past. She wasn't aware that her past also included her transforming for the first time in the present and fighting the phages, which she assumed came from this Galaxia that her brother had mentioned. The girls each put a hand in the middle of the table, fingertips touching, and Kat hovered her hand over theirs. Her signature rosy-golden glow illuminated her fingertips and warmth flooded over the other girls' hands. They were all silent as the memories merged in their minds. Kat also sensed the two cats presences in the peripheral of her mind. They all opened their eyes as Kat pulled her hand back. They blinked slowly, and looked at her with new eyes. Not recognition, but acceptance. The warmth that squeezed at Kat's heart was new and unfamiliar. She'd never had so many people around her before. "Sailor Earth," the brunette said, wonder in her voice. They each began to introduce themselves - Minako, Sailor Venus, Makoto, Sailor Jupiter, Rei, Sailor Mars, Ami, Sailor Mercury, and even the two cats - Artemis and Luna. They all moved to make way for her to sit amongst them. Mamoru excused himself, kissing Usagi atop her head, saying something about really needing to study, and he was so, so sorry, but he promised Usagi and Kat that they could all get together for dinner that night. Kat wasn't in the least bit nervous about her brother leaving her behind with these girls she'd only just met. It felt like she'd always known them, Usagi especially. Conversation quickly bubbled up, about school and studies, and eating and sleeping and gaming (courtesy of Usagi, herself). It was clear the girls had a deep bond, one that went far beyond them just being sailor senshi. The girls asked where Kat lived, where she went to school, what she did for a living, etc. Kat tucked some hair behind her ear, looking down at the strawberry parfait sitting in front of her (one that Usagi had insisted that she try). "Well... I live in Hakone right now... but I've been looking at moving here and studying at Keio University. I want to continue studying biology, with an emphasis at animal husbandry and conservation. I'm currently a vet tech at one of the best vets in Hakone, but I want to be able to do much more." "So like, zoology?" Ami asked, smiling gently at her. "Yeah, exactly like zoology, actually. I would love to work at the Tokyo zoo, eventually. But that seems like such a long ways down the road. Especially after discovering who I really am. But it's gotten so quiet since you beat Galaxia, that I feel like I might be able to dedicate more of myself to my studies." Ami nodded sagely. "Being a sailor guardian can be a lot of work, itself. But I've been able to maintain my studies and honor roll, so it's not impossible." Usagi and Minako groaned and rolled their eyes a little bit. Kat laughed. "I take it you two aren't too fond of school?" Rei smorted. "Usagi avoids studying like the plague. And her grades show how vested she is in her 'studies'." "Why should I try to memorize something I'm going to forget immediately? And it's something that's not so important anyway, not like being Sailor Moon is!" Usagi's voice grew louder with determination. "Shhh!" The girls were quick to shush her, and she hung her head slightly. Kat laughed. "You're such good friends." "What about your friends, Kat-chan?" Usagi asked, innocently. Kat wasn't used to the affectionate nickname. It made her feel warm and welcomed. "Well... I don't really have friends outside of my coworkers back home, really," she admitted, quietly. "Don't worry, we'll be your friends, from now on!" Usagi cheered. "Especially if you're going to move here! Oh, you have to move here! Us scouts have to stick together!" Kat smiled at her. "You really think so?" "Of course I do! You can't stay alone! Especially now that Mamo-chan knows he has a sister. Mamo's parents... they died in a car accident when he was younger. So he's never had any blood relatives around. He was an orphan when he was younger. But I'm his family now! I could be... your family too, if you would let me." Usagi offered a soft, small, genuine smile. Kat couldn't help but feel the warmness spread through her. Though there was something that tugged sadly at her heart. How her brother grew up, it didn't sound too much different than her upbringing. Though her parents hadn't died. They had just given her up. She spent most of her life feeling unwanted, and like she didn't belong. But here, now, sitting with the five other girls, and knowing that Mamoru was in her life, it felt like she'd never really been alone at all. That night, Usagi and Katrina went to Mamoru's apartment. When they walked in, the rich smell of home-cooked udon ramen warmed the sparse living-space. "I don't cook often," Mamoru admitted, when he saw Kat eyeing the cooking food. "But this felt like an extra special occasion." He smiled at her and rested his hand atop her head, like he always used to do. It made her smile, fondly. Everything about this day had gone so much better than she had expected it to. In fact, she had been pretty sure that she wasn't even going to find her brother on this short trip at all. At the very least, she would check out Keio and talk to some professors, to see if it would be a good fit for her. But here she was, with her brother, and her new-found friend, whom she felt as if she had known her whole life. Usagi was purity and goodness and sunshine and love. It was no wonder she was Sailor Moon, and Princess Serenity. Even when she wolfed down her double chocolate parfait, leaving whipped cream and chocolate on her face, somehow Kat could still envision her as the princess of the Moon Kingdom. Even when she bickered with Rei in a losing argument, she could see it. Even when she tripped over the lip of the step up into Mamoru's apartment, Kat couldn't shake the vision of who Usagi once was; who she was destined to be. "It looks so delicious, En- Mamoru," Kat said, whilst Usagi peered over her shoulder. Usagi giggled. "Mamo-chan, it looks soooo yummy! Much better than the instant noodles that Mama buys me!" Mamoru laughed, and turned his affections to his fiancé. He slipped an arm around her waist, kissing her tenderly. Kat turned away. She wasn't used to this level of love, or any sort of stable relationship. Because of the way she'd grown up, and the deep-seeded feeling that there was something so very different inside of her, none of her relationships had lasted past the one year mark. And that was only a one time thing. All of her other relationships lasted far less, it seemed. Not that she minded - it had given her time to focus on her studies, and her job. But seeing her brother and Usagi together, Katrina felt a pang in her chest. Quietly, she pulled herself away from the small, but open kitchen, and padded around Mamoru's living space. It was very minimalistic, and she got the feeling that he didn't spend a whole lot of time here, save for sleeping. It was very clear that Usagi didn't spend more than a bit of a time here, either, as there wasn't a woman's touch to be seen. Not even a trace of clothing. "Oh, Mamo-chan! Katrina-chan is looking at enrolling at Keio!" Kat perked up at the sound of her name, and looked at the couple in the kitchenette, mainly her brother. He had one raised brow. "Oh really? What for?" He sounded genuinely interested. "Biology. Zoology to be more specific." "Yeah! Yeah! She wants to work at the zoo. Wouldn't that be so cool, Mamo-chan? She could spend all her days working with cute little animals!" Usagi was so animated. Mamoru smiled at Kat. "That doesn't surprise me. From what I can remember, you were very much an animal-whisperer, even when you were a little girl." It sounded weird having someone refer to her at such a young age. She was used to people knowing that part of her. No one had ever stuck around long enough to even try and learn. She laughed, a little self conscious now. "I guess I did spend a lot of time in the gardens, and the woods, getting to know the animals in the area." "Ooh. Like a real-life Snow White?" Usagi sounded fascinated. "Well... I never sang to them." Kat's face was a little flushed. She wasn't used to all of the attention, and positive feedback she was receiving from both of them. Kat was absolutely flabbergasted when she saw the way Usagi wolfed down three full bowls of ramen, not even waiting for them to cool down, and gasping and whining every time she took an especially hot bite. "Where does it all go?" Kat asked, half joking. Usagi shrugged. "That's what I wonder, all the time," Mamoru said with a chuckle. Once they were all finished, Usagi and Kat stood in the kitchen, cleaning the dishes. "You and Mamoru are really close, huh?" Kat asked. Usagi was happily wiping the dishes dry, and putting them away, as she went. "Of course!" she answered, without missing a beat. "I mean... he's my soul mate. And if time has proven anything to us, it's that we'll always find our way back to each other, every time." Usagi grew quiet for a moment, as if she were deep in thought. "I mean, Queen Beryl killed and brainwashed him, but he came back. Then, he was receiving warning dreams from King Endymion in the future, warning him that he might be my downfall. So we broke up. But he came back. And the Dark Moon Circus was draining his crystal with their powers, while they were here. But he never went anywhere, at least not completely. And then Galaxia... killed him. I thought he was just overseas, studying in America, and he didn't have time for me. But he came back, once I defeated the Chaos in Galaxia." "You know what I'm hearing?" "What's that?" "That you, and your love, have saved him time and time again. Without you battling to protect this planet, and everyone on it, none of us might be here right now. I really wish I had gotten to know you sooner, Usagi." Kat's voice had grown a little softer, a little more quiet. Usagi stopped wiping, and peered up at the other woman. "But... you're here now, and that's all that matters, right?" She smiled so brightly, the room seemed to glow with her energy. "Right." Kat smiled warmly back at her. "Usako!" Mamoru burst from his bathroom, in dark grey sweatpants, his hair still dripping wet from his shower. His voice was urgent. "People are being attacked downtown!"

Top Ten Tuesdays is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish and move to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018.
Today’s topic is about your Favorites Couples in Books and I have quite a few so I’ll be showing you the ones that after reading the books I couldn’t think of anything else but them!
The Books
These are the couples in books that either made smile, cried or pull my hair! They’re all special in their own way and I just can’t get enough of them.  This list is in no particular order, I love all of these couples and I wanted to share with you my top ten, so here they are.
Vampire Academy – Rose Hathaway & Dimitri Belikov, it has been years since I read this series and I really miss these characters I have been thinking about a reread since last year, but let me tell you these two were amazing to read about seriously many years later I’m still in love with them.
Bloodlines – Adrian Ivashkov & Sydney Sage, there is no way I will have a list of favorite couples and not mention these two.  I was so happy for this spin off I LOVED ADRIAN, from the moment I met him in the books, I actually love him more than I love Dimitri (and I love him hard!)  but Adrian is special to me and I was glad he got his own story.
Strange the Dreamer –  Lazo & Sarai, what can I say about these two that hasn’t been said already.  I have to admit I haven’t read Muse of Nightmares yet but I will soon I just need to make some the time where I know I won’t have to put the book down to do other things.
The Song of Achilles – Achilles & Patroclus, this is one of those books that every time you read you pick up on something new.  Madeline Miller did such an amazing job with this story and I loved every page of it.  I read this book every year and I’m my heart breaks every time.  Don’t get me wrong I love the version of Troy with Brad Pitt but this version of the story is my all time favorite.
The Wicked King – Well, I just couldn’t leave these two out! This will they won’t they and hate to love, love to hate type of romances are my favorites and yes, I’m trash for these two I can’t help it and I’m sure you can’t help it either.
The Kiss Quotient – Stella Lane & Michael Phan, guys I don’t know what to say about these two, if you haven’t read this book yet you are seriously missing out.  This is story is perfect and I’ll be rereading this month! so go pick it up and treat your self to one of the best romance books out there.
Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda – Simon Spier & Blue no way on earth was I leaving these two out of the list.  I love this couple so much and I can’t wait to see if we get some type of follow up story and I’m not talking about Leah on the Off Beat, I want Simon and Blue!
Six of Crow – Kaz Brekker & Inej Ghafa – will they, won’t they????!!! Omg! Leigh Bardugo said in the meet out that she will eventually do a story with Kaz and Inej once she finishes her latest projects and we are still interested she will do it I mean come on yes!!!! and I’m soooooo super excited for that.  I love Kaz Brekker he is my book husband everyone that knows me knows that I’ll fight you! He’s mine! but would love to see him and Inej finally get together I mean Epic!
Black Dagger Brotherhood – Lover Awakened – Zhadist & Bella.  This is hands down my favorite of all the 100 books (more like 17 books I think) on the BDB Zhadist is my favorite brother and his story is the best, I mean don’t get me wrong I love ALL THE BROTHERS BUT Zhadist is my heart.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before – Lara Jean Song & Peter Kavinsky, this characters were the best, yes there were some parts I hated then some I truly loved.  Go read it!
And I’m giving you a bonus with these last two I just couldn’t not mentioned them since they are the best!
Yes, I’m talking about Magnus Bane & Alec Lightwood, these two have been thru so much but they get each other and they are the perfect mates perfect for each other so they had to make the list.
OK, that is all for now, if you made it this far Thank you!  Let me know which are some of your favorite book couples.

Pokemon Black Nuzlocke - Part 5
So originally this next part was written up on Christmas Eve but I had no time to post for a little bit. But here is the continuation and while this part seems tame, all I’ll say is that if anyone was wondering about my current lucky streak - wait until the next part because things have gotten extra spicy.) But read more below to get the set up for what is coming in the next part.)
The journey continues where I left it off. And that would be me heading to Twist Mountain and Cherry challenging me to another battle. No true problems with the battle. At the very least, Captain finally evolved into a Seismitoad and Alder came and gave us the HM for Surf. And I didn’t know Odette/Swanna could learn Surf despite it making sense. Just as how seeing Clay inside Twist Mountain completely escaped my memory.
I was kind of nervous about Twist Mountain until I realized it was currently winter in game. Meaning that snow was built up for ease of accessing certain areas! I could have cheated that way but I wanted to explore everything. So I’ll keep things brief. Queen finally evolved into her final Serperior form. Most of my encounters ended up being Cubchoo and Boldore. But I eventually got my encounter: a female Woobat who I called Rouge. My own team reveals how I got no real Dark/Ghost Type Moves. Which would only mean with the team I have now would have to be Gracey. But at the same time, it would mean having another slow Pokemon. I am not sure.
I managed to escape from Twist Mountain without too much trouble. Icirrus City came and I was already hopeful with Ramona’s performance I can hopefully survive the upcoming Gym Challenge. Then I was dumb and stumped across the quiz house. And instead of exploring more, I decided to challenge the Gym. Seeing as how there was nothing in my way.
But what are the odds of getting frozen? A lot according to the RNG rolls which kept freezing Ramona. Though through her Sheer Force most are defeated without issue. Zigzagzop is also assisting with his own Flame Charges so I don’t have to use many Ethers or return to the Pokemon Center that often. Plus I bought a few dozen Moomoo Milks; I should be good on healing items for a while.
With no issues at all, I come upon Brycen and officially start our battle off! I had Zigzagzog out first to help weaken his Vanillish so I could have a clean switch into Ramona to tackle his other Pokemon. Though having him waste a Hyper Potion on the Vanillish is helpful. For me at least. Brycen sent out his Beatrix next, so I brought out Ramona to unleash her Sheer Force Fire Punch and knocked his ace out in one hit. Surprisingly his Cryogonal was faster, but Ramona took it like a champ and secured another battle without fail.
Meaning I managed to gain the seventh Gym Badge without any deaths! This made me extremely happy. Especially of how far Zipzapzop has carried my journey thus far.
With my ego rising high, I exited the Gym to find Cheren, Bianca, Brycen and the Shadow Triad. N decided he needed ninjas to deliver me a message instead of, oh I don’t know, come and ask for me to go there like a regular person!? Seriously, sometimes I wonder what would change if N acted differently at some points.
Though I eventually oblige his request and go to Dragonspiral Tower. Even though everything is shaking because they are waking a dragon up. Or at least I think N is trying to awaken Zekrom. My encounter in the Tower was a Golett. A troublesome Pokemon to catch until I tossed a Heal Ball at it. Decided to call him BFG for fun.
Passing by Cheren and Brycen, I made my way up dealing with some more Team Plasma members. None even bothered to put up a challenge worth noting. And it’s not like I’m too overleveled - maybe aside from Zipzapzop. He’s only just level 40 at this point because of Amulet Coin switching tactics.
Then one of the Sages decided to have his four Grunts ambush me. Because isn’t that nice? And the game please stop using Super and Hyper Fangs back to back on Pebbles. I don’t want to lose her. Here, this ambush is an actual challenge since I can’t ambush healing in between battles! Another point I hate in Sword and Shield is how many times I get healed in between important battles. This is why I stock up on items; I like to use them for long dungeons or situations where I have no healing station nearby. And in actual challenging dungeons. Because even if I’m not having too much trouble with the grunts of Team Plasma, they are already giving me a challenge. By making me use all my Pokémon. And not just soloing them with a single one which knocks out all in a single hit.
Pardon my mini rant. I plan to keep those to a minimum. Yet the time has come for an ACTUAL CUTSCENE. N declares I go find Reshiram and to head to the Pokemon League. Giving me a better reason than just going to beat Leon’s butt and making Hop depressed. And I almost zoned out on the group meeting with Alder.
Time to head to Relic Castle after I stock up on Super Repels. That quick pit stop and having Odette learn Fly allowed me to easily reach my target destination. But I did not expect an old sage man named Ryoku to be inside. Which means, time to beat up more Team Plasma Grunts!!
Reaching the bottom was not a challenge and more of Ghetsis telling me to go and get Reshiram to fight N and all that jazz. You get the idea. Also Ghetsis seemingly shoved me out of the way. I’m awaiting the moment to kick his ass - pardon my language, but he deserves at least one bad word thrown at him.
Professor Juniper calls me to head back to Nacrene City and I finally obtain the Light Stone. Alder warns me about the responsibility, but as the main character I will be fine. Besides, with this I get the cool cutscene relating to the stone. Unlike some OTHER weapon relics.
But that left me wondering about one thing.. Not enough to completely forget the battle with Bianca before the bridge. Forgot to heal up my Pokemon before this, but it added an extra bit of challenge. I feel happy with Bianca discovering what she wants to do. Even it won’t be fully realized until the sequel.
Apparently the Shadow Triad decided to force me into meeting with Ghetsis on the bridge. Even though he is impending my process. Not sure if it was just to ensure I wouldn’t run away or what. Still want to punch him in the face. He was basically taunting me even though it would be worth nothing.
But Route 9 came with the giant mall/shopping center. Aka Shopping Mall Nine. I’d get my encounter later after I went into the city. Also I guess I’m friends with Alder now. I love Iris and Drayden. Same with Opelucid City. It changes depending on which version. As with the Gym Leader. Though I went back and found a male Gothorita and named him Tim Burton.
Now to quickly go with Iris to learn more about the Dragon Pokemon before I try and change up my team. Because in the long run, I think sadly some of my team may have to be benched. Only because if I don’t have a Ghost/Dark move on my team, I’m going in trouble for the Elite 4. And I might need to invest into an Ice-Type for this upcoming Dragon Gym. Onto another quick training session.
I decided to leave Queen in the PC for this Gym. As out of everyone, she was the weakest link when it came to Dragons. Grass and Dragon did not mix well. And I didn’t want to lose Queen due to a mistake on my part. So Snowball will be replacing her for the Gym. I tested out how my team would fare by challenging the first Trainer of the Gym. Turns out that my fears only grew when Fraxures started using Dragon Dance and resisted most of my moves. Even almost taking out Captain with double or triple Dragon Dance Dragon Claw. Left Captain at just 8 HP.
I may also have to replace him as well regarding this Gym if that was any indication. I might as well train up BananSplit afterwards. And after realizing that Dragons resist Electric, Grass, Water and Fire - most of which were the Types I had, I think it is best to end it off here for one last grinding session for a secondary team to challenge the Gym. Because Drayden is already showing me why I should be worried if most of my team could easily get wiped out. With only Pebbles having a slightly higher chance of surviving.
And I can secretly level up some potential party replacements. So until next time!
I’ll smell you all later…!
