I'm going to start the Pokemon Black Artlock, so I should post the rules.

Artlock Rules and Info

- Same basic rules of nuzlock, if a pokemon faints, it's considered dead, catch the first pokemon per route, and nickname them.

- Running with no duplicates, so if I already caught the pokemon or its species, I can go for another encounter.

- Here is a special rule: I am allowed use of the new event cartridges I have, though no overleveled pokemon. For example, I can get Victini in Castelia City, but I can't use a Genesect unless I'm either late game or not at all. Probably won't, but I will have them for encounters in the cities. The only one I plan to actually use is Victini. Also going to give myself a master ball from the event for the Victini(it will be virtually impossible to catch Victini otherwise, I did catch it in Pokémon White when I was testing it out, and it took over 40 Ultra Balls to catch it with only 1hp left).

- I will count it as an official run if I can get past the second gym(Lenora and her retaliating Watchog).

- I will draw every encounter I catch, and how every pokemon dies. Might draw anything that I think would be neat to draw in between.

- In game trades are available, and can catch needed pokemon for the trade.

- Gift pokemon and static pokemon count as separate encounters.

- Certain areas that are split(example: Pinwheel Forest) can be separate encounters.

- Should I find a shiny(unlikely, but always possible), I'm allowed to catch it, regardless of if I already encountered something on that route, or if I have one of that species already.

- The only trade I do with another game is to get Celebi to get the Zorua(an event I already had access to since before I got the event cartridges) and I will trade it back as soon as I have the Zorua.

And I think that's it. I'll be posting all the art here, and even use this as the masterpost for everything to follow. If I wipe anytime up to and during the second gym, I will restart. And depending on the new run encounters, I'll redraw the encounters, but otherwise I will keep the drawings from the previous run as canon.

hahahaha i just had the most fucking incredible luck with my nuzlocke i gotta talk about this it was so fucking incredible

so im playing a pkmn black nuzlocke and im at the elite 4. my e4 team is scrafty, garbodor, stunfisk, bisharp, durant and shelmet.

the first battle with caitlin my shelmet got crit and killed (DEVASTATING bc half my strat here was yawn > protect) then i make it through grimsley unscathed but shauntel DESTROYS ME. kills my scrafty and bisharp. all i have left are garbodor, durant and stunfisk, none of which can really learn much to defeat Marshals team of fighting type mons.

so after deliberating on what i could possibly do, i teach my durant aerial ace (and of course i forget to use an elixir so i start the battle with only 8 aerial ace pp) and attract. i figure ill get through the throh and probably lose durant to sawk, and then toxic stall by switching between garbo and stunfisk.

i am still in shock i genuinely got the best fucking rng ever. durant is fast as fuck so immediately attract. the throh gets immobilized 4 times In A Row! uses all of marshals full restores. he finally breaks through the attract and uses stone edge. AND THE BITCH MISSES! I KILL HIM NO DAMAGE TAKEN. sawk comes out, i figure well, this worked for me last time so i might as well keep doing it. and i literally blast through Marshals entire fucking team with the attract strat, only taking literally 1 jump kick from meinshao at the end. and the final blow, my last aerial ace pp, fucking one shot crit kills him. im literally still in shock at how i got so lucky i genuinely can't believe it worked that well

And with the addition of three new friends, unfortunately, there was a loss of one friend. Mischief had fallen in battle against N and his Sigilyph. I had switched him in to counter the psychic type attack that was coming to nullify it, but on the following turn, N's Sigilyph hit a critical hit Air Cutter on him, which killed him. It wasn't something I could've predicted happening, as Mischief was four levels higher, and I thought he could outspeed it. I'm sorry Mischief, I had the utmost belief in your abilities, and hoped to bring you with me on my journey. Rest in peace, Mischief, you did good.

After beating N without any other casualties, I put Mischief in the designated box I named Gravyard(graveyard, but doesn't fit fully). I put Sand Criky in my party in his place for now.

ugh the worst part of getting past the 8th gym in this run actually is the fucking ev grinding. also bc i only have like 11 usable pokemon and i think i have a decent enough team but i am SO weak to fighting for the fighting type e4 member this will be a nightmare me thinks

I realized how I draw my nuzlocke story that not all the deaths are clear just from reading, so I wanted to draw a picture with all the pokemon we've lost so far in the comic. Oh yeah, forgot to mention but King and Alyss were deaths haha, I lost them on Victory Road. I just showed that by having them captured by Plasma in the comic, and then I forgot to mention the game notes in the description of the episode :P
