Hi! It’s Terry and I’m new to the Star Wars fandom, I’m very enthusiastic about Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, he just deserved better and should have got help! Nevertheless, here’s an sketch about him to indulge your eyes with some of the medical headcanons I have for him, like his hearing got diminished by the fire and he needs hearing aids and that he breathes thanks to a tracheostomy. Reader would call it his cute choker when being silly around him! I just think there’s a lack of Vader appreciation and I need to fill a that void since I love him so much, ok byeee~

I really love your artsyle! Any advice on drawing anatomy, heads, torsos, ect? Or just general drawing advice
Heyy, thank you! I appreciate the ask, and I can totally offer some advice! I still have heaps to learn myself, but here are the things that make it easier for me to draw
Find the Shapes
In my opinion, the best way to get around anatomy simply is to find the shapes that the body (especially when using reference) makes.
This is the way that I find drawing torsos easiest for me. This guideline helps me visualise the 3D aspects of the different muscle and bone structure beneath the skin of man 😌
Here is also a version of the limbs coloured and then the entire figure. I hope this is easy to read ':0
As for the head, I find drawing what I call the "face plate" as a guideline as opposed to a circle helps me map out features better.
Study, don't Steal!
When I see a drawing of, for example, a really good looking hand, I like to copy that drawing to the best of my ability. This helps store it into my mind's memory bank and builds my visual library.
Just don't go posting it like you made it yourself! With these drawings I either delete them not long after, or label them as "(artist's name) Study". Saying this you have every right to post these drawings if you really must, just make sure it is clear that it is a study, and not original art!
Good or Bad, doesn't matter! Just draw!
Last tip is really simple. Just draw! It doesn't have to be perfect every dang time. As long as you're able to get whatever the idea is you have out of your head and onto paper, that's all that matters. You can always come back and finish it, or just leave it how it is :)
Also, be true to yourself when drawing. Draw what you want to draw. Draw how you want to draw it. At the end of the day, it's how your art makes you feel that truly matters.
I hope this was in any way helpful. These are pretty general tips, but it's what I use most when drawing!
