Sneak Peak!! Gotta Go Hard Ch.5
Full Chapter: https://archiveofourown.org/works/30983819/chapters/80906605
Reminder that all my sneak peaks are unedited and will be severely altered in the actual story.
Enjoy!
This kind of assignment shouldn’t really surprise him.
He has always been assigned to mutant cases, it was kinda his thing what with harboring so many super powered individuals on his main team. It was only natural that Fury trusted him with this assignment.
Although it was a little weird. Fury was oddly content with just monitoring one Peter B. Parker (and he’s known he heard that name before, he just couldn’t put his finger on it.) aka Spiderman and not enlisting him as an asset. Albeit, the kid wasn’t even in high school yet, but he was still of an above average intelligence that set him apart from his peers; besides the, ya know, superpowers and all that.
Maybe it had something to do with Tony Stark vouching for the kid when he was successful in taking down a potential risk to society - or New York, at least - successfully. Two if Scorpion would be included. It seems like Spiderman was starting to indicate a pattern of stopping risks before they could become full blown dangers. Like a soon-to-be drug lord, or a alien hybrid weapon dealer. Phil had to admit, it was impressive.
Spiderman didn’t seem like a threat, although everything was a threat in this line of business. If it wasn’t with you, it was against you - that sort of thing. But Spiderman seemed to genuinely be one of those things that was as non-lethal as they appeared; well lethal non-lethal, the kid could still throw a bus, no problem.
And it’s not like SHIELD had never turned a blind eye to vigilantes. Daredevil being the prime example, which no one could ever figure that one out - that must frustrate Fury beyond belief. But there was no reason to uproot a kid who hasn’t done anything but help so far. Although, one wrong move and he’d be neutralized; but until then they might as well reach out and acquaintance themselves. Before some bad guy gets the drop on an impressionable pre-teen, went without saying.
The ideal solution would be to shut the entire Spiderman thing down, but Stark had already tried that and that only lead the kid to take down one of his planes. So normal life fix was out of the question, so next best option was to make nice and hope he doesn’t stab them in the back - which would be very hard, considering they were still suspicious of the Avengers.
Making nice, as Stark suggested, would be upgrading that eyesore of a suit. Phil couldn’t help but agree. How the hell had a child in a hoodie and beat up converse taken down an entire plane without getting shredded? Phil found that highly unlikely, and a little part of his bleeding heart ached in sympathy.
The kid was approximately 43 seconds early when he dropped silently into the elevated alley that Phil had set the randevoz at. All he had to do was have Stark send a encrypted message to the kid’s phone - although there was some bellyaching about it being a tad harder what with outdated technology and fucking firewalls how does he even get it that strong? Or some other nonsense like that.
“Gotta admit, I thought I was gonna get kidnapped and experimented on.” he said in a casual tone.
“Night is still young.” Phil joked with a plastered friendly smile, that elevated none of the tension in Spiderman’s posture. Huh, not easily fooled. Daisy did say that his smile could come off a little creepy with a splash of pedophilic, maybe she was right. “You’re shorter than I thought you would be.” Because seriously, this kid was basically a step up from a fetus. A foot shorter than Phil, who was admittedly short for his age, and scrawny as all hell - though the oversize stitched up hoodie did obscure that a bit.
“Rude.” the kid muttered “So if not to kidnap and syphon my blood, what does SHIELD want me for?” he asked, getting straight to business.
“Got somewhere you need to be?” Phil quirked an eyebrow and the kid scoffed, but didn’t say anything more. “We want to be allies.” he stated.
“Sorry, I don’t do teams. Lone wolf-spider kind of guy, ya know.” he said and Phil’s mouth quirked at the pun.
“You misunderstand. You aren’t eligible for the Avengers.” yet. SPiderman shifted a little “Ally was a strong word, more of an acquaintanceship if you will.”
“Is that even a word?” the kid asked skeptically.
“It gets my point across, no?” he quirked a brow up.
“Yeah, I guess so.” Spiderman said rocked on the balls of his heels and swinging his arms a bit, a very child like gesture that Phil filed away for later “So what would this ‘acquaintanceship’ entail?” he asked with a cocked head and a curious lit, Phil smiled a little more genuinely. He couldn’t help it, this kid was fucking adorable. He knows most accounts say Spiderman is annoying, but he guesses he shouldn’t take the people he put away word for anything other than petty insults - although he can see why, it must be irritating to be taken out by a 4’ 5” kid in a hand-me-down track suit. Speaking of
“Well, let’s start with the attire.” Phil held out a brief case and SPiderman looked at it then him then back to the case and paused “You gonna take it, it’s kind of heavy.” he said, just to get Spiderman to take a cautious step forward and delicately exchange the briefcase and set it down to gingerly open it. As if it were a bomb. When it didn’t go off, he inspected the suit in the case. Running his hands over it carefully.”Stark made and approved.” he said as the kid explored the high tech polyester “form fitting and flexible for anya nd all acrobatics. HIgh tech lenses to manage your super senses too.” he recited from what he knew when Stark explained it ot him. There were a million other things, but Phil didn’t really care about them.
“It’s bugged.” the kid concluded flatly, shutting the case and looking up.
“Then debug it.” Phil said with a shrug “That was Stark’s addition, it’s not required.” the pre-teen nodded curtly.
“So what’s my contribution?” the kid stood up, handling the case with him. “This isn’t free, I assume.” he wiggled the case a bit.
“You assume correctly.” Phil smiled “And that’s on a need to know-”
“Yeah, I don’t roll that way.” the kid cut off dryly “Tell me up front, or you got no deal.” Phil was a little speechless.
“Disclosure is up to my superiors-”
“Then get permission to disclose.” Spiderman jutted the case out “I’ll wait.” he said and Phil looked at the case and then at the tiny kid who had gave him the oddest ultimatum he had ever heard, then laughed. The kid stiffened. “What’s so funny?” he sounded near offended and Phil waved him off.
“Nothing, just that,” he sighed good naturedly “You are a smart little tike aren’t you.”
“I’m not a toddler.” the kid grumbled.
“Well, I’m not supposed to but since you leave me no other option and I really don’t wanna play messenger for my grumpy boss and a little prepubescent vigilante, I’ll tell you.” Phil sighed, he was so gonna get torn into for doing this. Oh well, he’s done worse. The kid straightened, but didn’t retract his hand. “You can keep the suit, if we can call on you for missions. Back up and what not.” the kid analyzed him for a second and finally hummed.
“Okay, how about this. I keep the suit, but you don’t get to parade me around like a monkey. I won’t be your lackey.” the kid retracted the suit and Phil furrowed his brow and opened his mouth in protest, but the kid cut him off “I will however, act as a consultant. You need information regarding and surrounding or about anything going down in my stomping grounds, I’ll give it to you with no questions asked.” Phil closed his mouth as the kid took a deep breathe “And, additionally, if you need any back-up, in New York, I will provide it.” he said resultly. “Deal?” the kid stuck out his free, tiny hand.
“Hmm.” Phil considered. How good could a child’s information even be? Good enough to stop a drug empire and entire illegal weapon cyndicate. He also seemed to have good intuition, and having a little spider look out jumping around and keeping an ear out for them wouldn’t be so bad. “Deal.” he took the kid’s hand and shaked firmly, which caught the kid a but off guard but then he matched the strength.
“Okay, cool.” he said as they separated, and awkwardly fidgeted - losing most of that confidence he had a moment ago when he was demanding a fair deal. Phil almost laughed at the contrast. “Uhm… yeah that all?” he asked awkwardly, Phil nodded once. “Cool. Kay, see you around Mr. SHIELD-agent-dude.” he waved and then shot a web off to the nearest building and swung away as Phil looked after him. As he disappeared up and around the corner, practically flying away, Phil couldn’t help a more genuine smile spread across his lips.
Fascinating.

Out Of The Rain
You give Peter a ride home...kind of?
Pairing: Peter Parker X Reader
Warnings: Smut, Swearing, Angst
___________
School lunches fucking sucked. Right now you really regret not waking up early enough to pack one at home. You stared down at the unappealing plate, before tentatively lifting a piece of limp broccoli to your mouth.
“Y/N? Y/N?!” The sound of your best friend Lexi’s voice pulled you from your thoughts. “Hmm?” You grumble, mouth now full with the gross green vegetables. “Ms. Jones said we’re having a surprise practice today” she informs you and you groan. “Damnit! I didn’t wear sneakers” You exclaim looking down at the moccasins on your feet. “My uniform is in my locker, maybe I left a pair in there” you hope out loud. “Girl I hope you did, that would be shitty if you had to run all the way home to get some” You nod in agreement before getting up and jogging to your locker.
You sigh upon opening it, you find your uniform....but no sneakers. You yank out the skirt and cropped shirt before slamming the small metal shut. You change into the clothes before making your way back to the cafeteria. You loved cheerleading but Ms. Jones was getting annoying with these unannounced practices. You stand in front of your table of friends - “do ANY of you have an extra pair of sneakers?” You ask, face dropping as you watch all the girls shake their heads no. “Damn Y/N, you’re already hot but In that uniform you’re smoking!” Brad smirks and you roll your eyes. “Thanks anyways girls” you speak to your friends, ignoring Brad and the laughs from the guys sitting with him.
You were about to sit down when you remember you and MJ always wore about the same shoe size. The two of you used to be inseparable- but you just grew apart. You attempted to still spend time with her, but most of the time she turned you down. And then both you were incredibly busy - her with the academic decathlon & science club - and you with cheer & multi-cultural club. You walk over to her table, occupied by only three people. Her, Ned Leeds and Peter Parker. You never understood why they sat with just the three of them. Ned was hilarious, he sometimes controlled the score board at basketball games and his comments always had you cracking up from the sidelines. MJ was drop dead gorgeous, though you wished she’d let her hair down more often. And Peter- well you could go on and on about the brown haired boy.
“Michelle!” You called out before plopping down across from her. “Hey Y/N” she gives you a half smile, looking surprised that you were talking to her. “You wouldn’t happen to have an extra pair of sneakers would you?” You ask as sweetly as you could. “Um...no? Just the ones I have on” she answers and that’s all you needed - “Please trade shoes with me!” You plead. “I just need them for cheer practice I’ll bring them back tomorrow I promise” MJ looks confused but complies and you let out a breath of relief, “thank you so much!” You thank her, a grin breaking out across your face.
“Oh my god I’m so fucking rude; hey Peter- hey Ned” you finally greet the two boys. Ned gives you a cheerful hello, but Peter is frozen. He’d been in a trance since he saw you walking towards them. You were a vision of beauty. He was sure he’d never seen a girl as pretty as you. And you were smart. He was always impressed with how well you did in all classes. He’d often help Mr. Harrington grade papers and you never got below a 90. Peter thought you were perfect.
He hadn’t even realized he’d been staring at you until MJ punched his arm. “Stop being creepy” she whispers under her breath and he feels a blush rise to his cheeks. He tried to pull his eyes away but it was a done deal when you bent forward, giving him a perfect view of your breasts. Peter felt his breathing pick up - fuck - the tops of them jiggled as you wiggled your foot around to get the sneaker on and he had never been more grateful for V-neck shirts.
“Thanks again Michelle. Oh by the way; I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies on Saturday, my treat?” You offer and before she can respond Peter speaks up for her. “She’ll be there!” You smile and nod. “Okay, see you then. Bye guys!” You wave just as the bell rings.
Ned turns to MJ as soon as you’re gone, the three of them standing to make their way to next period. “Why didn’t you tell us you were friends with Y/N?!” He whisper yells, and Peter is curious too. “I don’t know, you never asked” she shrugged. “She’s literally gorgeous” Ned continues and MJ shakes her head.
“Maybe that’s why I didn’t tell you dorks”
It was last period, you were doodling in your journal when you heard the loud crack of thunder shake the room. You jump before looking outside just as it started to pour. You loved the rain, it made you wanna go home and curl up in your bed. A couple of minutes go bye before you hear your principals voice. “Attention students, due to the thunderstorms ALL after school activities will be canceled this evening. Please, be safe on your way home. That is all” the voice cut out and you were kind of glad practice was canceled.
All you could think about was leaving the last twenty minutes of class and you were the first one up when the bell rang. After going to your locker, you make your way outside and dash to your car. You shiver when you get inside, immediately reaching to turn up the heat. You start the engine to your 2007 Ford Explorer, and you’re about to pull off when you spot Peter Parker running through the parking lot with nothing but his book bag over his head like a makeshift umbrella. You blow your horn at him, and wave for him to come over. He pauses and squints his eyes at you before making way over.
He stands outside your car, looking at you through the window and you give him a funny look. “Get in Parker!” You instruct after he’s been standing for at least 30 seconds in the rain. He gets in the passenger seat, completely soaked. “You wanna ride home?” You ask him, and he sputters. “I- uh, I don’t want to be a bother. It’s fine I can walk..” he replies and you groan. “Well too bad, I wasn’t asking” you chide before pulling off with a giggle. “Thanks Y/N” he smiles and you glance at him. You wish you could’ve looked longer but driving in the rain was hard enough.
“I should be thanking you!” You counter, “thanks for getting MJ to hang with me....I really miss her” your voice breaks off into a whisper. Peter stares at you, he can tell you really mean it. “You’re welcome, I know how she can be sometimes. But today; I could tell she misses you too” he spoke placing a hand on your thigh. He’d meant it to be comforting but after he’d done it he realized how fucking creepy it must’ve been and pulled his hand away. His eyes traveled to the soft skin where his hand had been. You thighs were full & toned - probably from years of cheerleading. They were covered in droplets of water, and god, he never knew thighs could be so attractive. He let his eyes move upwards over your exposed midriff, even your belly button was cute. Peter really wished he’d stopped there, but he didn’t. His gazed continued, eyes taking in your dripping hair, water sliding down your neck and down the valley of your breast. You cheer top, was soaked making it cling even tighter to your skin than usual. But your face- for him that was the most stunning thing about you. Warm eyes, that made him melt every time you looked at him... and those lips. He wondered what they tasted like.
“Hey, do you have to go straight home?” You question before you can overthink it and Peter shakes his head. “No, why?”; you take a deep breathe. “Do you wanna come over?” You bite your lip and wait for him to answer. “Yeah, I’d love too! I mean; yeah that’s cool” he coughed. “Okay, I think my big sister Mya is home but don’t worry she’s like waist deep in her textbooks 24/7. She’s studying for her bar exam” You tell him.
You both talk more about your families, how it’s just him and his aunt. How your parents are always away. And even though it was almost a twenty-five minute drive to your house, the time you spent in your talking in your car with the rain falling all around you still didn’t seem long enough.
You pull into your driveway, smiling when you see your sisters car. Looking back to make sure Peter was still behind you, you reach to unlock the door. When your hand touches the handle you jump back when it swings open - “Damnit Mya, You scared the shit out of me!” You yell and she bursts out laughing. “Oh my god, I’m sorry” she apologizes, smirking at you still. “Anyways, who’s this cutie?” She asks gesturing to Peter. “This is Peter, we go to school together” you say as nonchalantly as you possibly can, but you know Mya sees through your calm demeanor. “Nice to meet you Peter, I’m going out for a little while so you two have fun. But not too much fun” she winks and you groan in embarrassment. “We can go to my room” You mutter, still frustrated at your sisters remark.
Peter can feel himself start to sweat the moment he walks through your bedroom door. The baby blue walls, covered in pictures of your friends and family served as a reminder to how popular you were and he knew you were beyond out of his league. What was he thinking coming here? “Sit down!” You call out to him, patting the spot on your bed before turning on your tv. You flick through channels before decided on Jumanji.
“Peter, can I ask you something?” You whisper, almost nervous to ask. “Anything” he smiles back and you sigh - “What do you think of me? Like we’re cool, but you don’t know me very well, what do you get from just my basic outlook” you inquire thoughtfully. “Wow- um, I don’t know where to start. I see a girl that’s kind, and talented. Dedicated, hardworking, smart, and super beautiful.” He blushes and you can’t believe all the things he just said. “Really?” You ask wondering how he’d gathered all that from the few times you’d spoken.
“Yeah. Kind; You gave me a ride so I didn’t have to walk in the rain. Talented & dedicated, all the time and effort you put into cheer. You always look the best on the field by the way- I don’t know how you learn all those routines. Smart; you don’t miss anything. You’re so quick and you do amazingly in school. And anyone who doesn’t see you’re beautiful is either blind or stupid-“ you cut off his compliments and lean in to kiss him. Peter freezes in shock and you pull back. “I’m sorry- I should’ve asked you first it’s just you’re probably the sweetest, cutest most intelligent person I’ve ever met and..” now it’s his turn to cut off your rambling.
He kissed you and you can’t help but to smile against his lips. “You smell good” You murmur and Peters staring at you with a grin like you’ve never seen. “So do you” his voice is almost as soft as his lips. All he did was look at you and you felt that familiar tug low in your stomach.
“I’ll show you mine if you show me yours” you smirk before pulling your shirt over your head and Peter followed suit. “Woah” you’re shocked by his strong build, letting your finger run down the length of his abdomen. Peter shuttered as he watched your manicured nail trace his chest. You reached the hem of his jeans, looking up at him expectantly. He gulped before reaching to tug the denim off his legs. The tight briefs he wore left little to the imagination and you couldn’t wait to get him in your mouth.
You rub him through the thin cloth and he’s already twitching. “Can I take these off?” You ask, staring up at him. He wanted to tell you that you could do anything you wanted to him; but instead opted for a quick nod. You were about to slide the briefs off when a ringing came from the pants on the floor next to the two of you. “
“It’s yours” you tell him reaching down and grabbing the phone. “Mr. Stark?” you Squint at the face on his phone screen - “Holy shit; is Tony Stark calling you?!”

ps4 peter parker x reader (though it should do fine with any peter parker you’d like- ps4 spidey is just who i wrote it with in mind)
summary: peter understands that you need to study, but he also understands that his significant other needs a break. and also that he’s really missed you.
- for @cartwheelandfaceplant , to whom i sincerely apologize for the angst. this one is fluff!
you giggle into your phone, leaning back into your desk chair. “listen, pete, i have this exam to study for tomorrow, you know that i can’t-”
“(y/n),” he exasperatedly interrupts from the other end of the call, “how long have you been studying for? seven hours now?”
you roll your eyes, stretching your arms before you answer. “six hours and forty...” you check your watch. “forty-seven minutes, thank you very much.”
you hear him laugh and you can just imagine the look that he dons on his face as he does so, eyes bright and loving. “c’mon, you need a break.”
you pick up your pencil again, drumming it against your desk absentmindedly as you try to reign your attention back in long enough to actually absorb the information on the paper before you.
“you’re one to talk,” you huff.
“okay, but which one of us has super awesome spidey powers that can keep us going for long periods of time?”
“i hope you know that i’m rolling my eyes, peter,” you say through laughter.
“yeah, i figured. but am i wrong?”
the answer is obviously a blatant no, but your pride gets in the way of answering.
“one hour, (y/n), that’s all i’m asking,” peter continues. “one hour for you to rest and get some coffee with me- i promise that i’ll let you get back to studying after. we can even set a timer!”
his proposition is sure enticing, but as you glance at your watch which reads 10:47 p.m., you wonder if you really have that kind of time. you bite your lip in contemplation.
on one hand, you could use a break and hadn’t seen your boyfriend in a few days so you really did miss him, but on the other... this exam was really important and you couldn’t risk even an hour not studying, or at least you felt so.
you hear peter web sling and narrow your eyes at the sound. “aren’t you pretty busy yourself? it’s late, spidey... you should wrap up early and rest.”
you realize that this conversation with him is very roundabout, both of you worried and fussing over the other’s health, but you felt that your case was valid. he was always up worrying about either work or the well-being of the city; he deserved at the very least six hours of sleep.
he sighs. “it’s actually pretty quiet tonight.”
you smile at the thought of a restful night for new york- a restful night for him.
a few moments of silence pass by.
“i’m going to get back to studying. i’ll call you tomorrow. get some rest, okay?”
but he doesn’t answer as quickly as he normally does, and your brows furrow in concern. did he get caught up in a fight? you start getting worried until your thoughts are interrupted by a few knocks against your window.
when you look to your window, you see your peter parker clad in his spider-man suit, mask pulled back so that you can see his face. he smiles gently.
you roll in your chair over to the window and lift it, letting a gentle breeze flow in. you rest your chin in your palms, looking up at peter who dangles from a web upside down.
“hey,” he says softly, reaching to touch your face.
his suited fingertips caress the side of your face as he looks into your eyes lovingly.
“i hope you realize that you don’t exactly have a choice here. i’m taking you out for a spidey break whether you like it or not,” he grins lopsidedly.
you huff a sigh as if you were against the idea, but a smirk that appears on your face betrays that.
your hand reaches up to touch his that is still holding your face, your smirk softening into a genuine, grateful smile. “alright. let’s go, spidey.”
“plus, we can both- wait, really?” he asks, eyebrows lifting in surprise. “after that phone call, i honestly thought you’d take a lot of convincing.”
you stand up from your chair and climb through the window, as he holds your hand to ensure your safety as you do so. “well...”
he maneuvers so that he’s right-side-up again and tugs his mask back down on his face.
“what can i say? i missed my friendly neighborhood spider-man,” you coo as you wrap your arms around his neck, pressing a kiss against his cheek covered by the cool material of his mask.
he laughs, squeezing your side. “i missed you too.”
with you secured to his side, peter is off, swinging through the city.
a comfortable silence falls between the two of you, taking in the world around you. the bustling crowds below, the occasional mad car honkings, the lights. to you, it makes your problems feel small in comparison to everything that is going on in the world. it makes you realize that there is a lot more to your life than just that exam.
for peter, this reminds him that this is the world he’s keeping safe for everyone and especially for you.
eventually, peter slows to a stop and the both of you land gently on the ground before the coffee shop where both of you met. it had been your favorite up until you moved to another part of the city.
at the sight of it, your heart warms and you laugh, looking up at peter, who you can tell his smiling widely by the way his mask stretches around his mouth.
he opens the door for you, and you giggle yet again- you seem to do that a lot around him. you walk in, teasingly asking if he intended to order coffee in his spider-man suit.
“well, yeah, it seems like i’ll have to. got a problem with spider-man paying for a lovely, local, beautiful young lady?”
you smile, leaning into his side as the two of you take your spot in the surprisingly long line.
“not at all.”
ordering your coffee had definitely been a unique experience. the baristas all gawked at spider-man, who just seemed so out of place in the small coffee shop. even though you knew that the attention was on him and not you, it still felt uncomfortable to be in the limelight. peter, probably sensing your discomfort, squeezed your hand comfortingly and pulled you into his side.
once the coffee came and peter pulled you by the hand outside of the shop, you could finally breathe a sigh of relief. you take a sip of the hot liquid, feeling it warm your whole body and awakening happy memories from the times that you and peter had just started becoming friends, full of tummy-aching laughter, lingering stares, and soft words of greeting and gratitude.
“sorry about that,” you hear your boyfriend say sheepishly.
you turn and look up at him. he’s scratching the back of his neck, looking as if he’s looking at every feature on your face except for your eyes. you laugh gently, knowing he must feel bad. he’s peter parker, after all- hasn’t changed a bit since five years ago when the two of you had first met.
“maybe i should have just driven you here or something...” he mumbles.
“no, it’s alright. i love swinging around with you, anyway,” you smile brightly; a smile that still has the power to steal his breath and make the world fade away. he still believed, and probably would never stop believing, that you were the most stunning thing he’s ever laid his eyes upon.
and the fact that you loved him both as peter parker and spider-man? amazing.
“you had good intentions, parker,” you say. “always have and always will.”
he laughs and you swear your heart rate elevates. “shall we head back?”
you nod, wrapping your arms around his neck once more, holding your coffee in hand. his arm wraps around your wrist and with a thwip, the two of you are off back to your apartment.
the way back there is unlike how it was leaving with peter. the fear for the exam that you had been feeling was starting to resurface and you dreaded the moment peter had to leave you. you just wanted to cuddle up with him and sleep and never leave the feeling of comfort that you always seemed to be in whenever he was around. but you knew that it was a selfish thought, so you stayed quiet, not wanting to tell him this. it can wait for a less busy time.
when your apartment building is in sight, you feel your heart in your throat. oh, how you did not want to go back to studying. had it really been an hour since you left to take a “spidey break”? when was the next time that you’d be able to see him again? peter’s arm tightens around your waist, letting you know that perhaps he’s thinking the same thing.
when peter gently sets you down inside your room, you set your coffee down on your desk before quickly running back to your window to bid him goodbye.
he had taken off his mask and his arms were folded, resting on your window sill as his feet adhered to the side of the building, keeping him up. his head tilted as you both watched each other, eyes trying to commit to memory everything about the other at this moment.
“thank you so much for your help, spider-man. i don’t know what i would have done without my hero,” you say teasingly, running a hand through his hair.
he beams, leaning into your touch. “glad to help. it’s what i do, after all.”
the silence that falls between the two of you is bittersweet and the both of you want to stay like this forever.
“peter?”
he hums tiredly.
“i love you. get some rest okay?”
he grins boyishly at your words and you roll your eyes with a laugh because now he looks so energetic.
“well after you say that, i feel like i can’t!” he lifts himself up easily and kisses your nose. “i love you too.”
before you beg him to stay like you so desperately want to, you kiss him lightly on the lips and gently push him away, moving to close your window.
“see you later, pete.”
“i’ll call you,” he promises, pulling his mask down over his face.
you blow him a kiss as you close the window which he pretends to catch and hold to his heart before he’s off, promising to meet with you again as soon as your schedules clear up.

The Fall Festival
College Peter Parker x Reader
Tumblr media
Warning: smut, danger, maybe language. Word count: 3300 Summary: just a normal day for Peter Parker full of a science club meeting, a hay ride, and rescuing the a bunch of people in front of his awesome girlfriend. @thewackywriter
Peter Parker fucking loved fall. He also liked the pumpkin spiced food and the pretty fall scents girls wore. Peter liked the swirly leaves in the park. Mr. Delmar would sell pumpkin empanadas on Fridays in October and they were awesome. The Halloween decorations would spill out everywhere and Peter prided himself on having the best spider webs on the block, probably all of New York. What kind of Spider-Man would he be if he didnt?
But this year he had extra reasons to love fall. He was a freshman at ESU majoring in biophysics and minoring in photography. He wasn't too far from home and could hang out with Ned who went to Queens College and obviously majored in computer science.
And finally, Peter had a girlfriend. He couldn't believe that he found a girl that liked him back. Liz was a disaster and MJ ended up with her coming out gay to Peter after he kissed her. It was horrible. Even though she was really nice about it.
But then he met you at an event at college. He couldn't help but stare at you from across the room. It was pretty unforgettable how you first saw him. It was at the end of the event and he tried to grab a donut beside you and instead you turned around and your foam coffee cup was crushed against his chest. Peter ripped his soaked steaming hot t shirt off right away.
Your eyes widened at his fit form. Woah, he was a nerd with those abs? You quickly looked away and flushed. Peter noticed of course. Instead of asking you out, he turned brick red and basically ran out of the room.
It was a week later, you finally had enough of his eyes on you but never talking to you. You walked up to Peter, who dropped his pen on the floor in the library, and asked him out. He barely stuttered out a yes. A month later you were now officially dating.
You had your hand in Peter's as you walked into the student union building. The science club was meeting and Peter had talked you into going. You sat in one of the last stools in the room. Peter stood behind you with his head on your shoulder. You ran a hand through his hair as the group began. Peter hummed as you scratched his scalp.
Normally Peter was involved but today he was distracted by the smell of your hair, the softness of your sweater, and the way you were scratching his head. He resisted the urge to kiss your neck. You gently tugged at his hair and he stifled a moan.
"Peter, do you agree?" You asked him. He shook out of his thoughts.
"With what?"
"Study group for genetics?" You asked smiling. Peter had been day dreaming. Peter turned red again and nodded in agreement. You noticed he softly gazed at you the rest of the meeting. You tried to pay attention but those soft doe brown eyes were hard to ignore. Especially looking at you like that.
"Hey Pete, what was that? In the meeting. You kept looking at me?" You reminded him. He adjusted his back pack before grabbing yours. You would complain but he always insisted. Plus he was freaky strong. You saw him pick up the corner of a fridge once to get something from under it.
"You...ah.. you look really pretty today," he said. You smiled at him. Sometimes he was too good to be true. You pulled him to the side of the hallway as the meeting room cleared out.
"You're the sweetest boyfriend," you said pulling his collar until he was face level. He grinned at you before lightly placing his lips on yours. You deepened the kiss and Peter practically melted in your arms. He groaned when you bit his lip.
Peter quickly pulled away and adjusted his pants before grabbing your hand and pulling you towards the door. You smirked at the thought that you had affected him so. Peter slowed down after a minute and stopped in front of the bulletin board.
"Hey, they're having a haunted hay ride tonight. Do you want to go?" Peter asked excited. You felt nervous. You hadn't ever gone on one. "Come on. Lets go on a hay ride."
You felt his big brown eyes persuade you. "Okay, fine. Don't make me regret this."
You pulled Peter to your dorm room. You needed to study. Plus, you kinda left him in a state. Peter was sweet but too nice and you had to take care of him because he would never ask. He tossed the back pack on your bean bag chair and sat on your bed. You basically pounced him.You straddled him and pulled his beanie and jacket off. "Woah." He ran his hands on your outer thighs. You kissed him deeply and soon you felt his arousal on your thigh.
You pulled his t shirt off and stripped your own top off. Peter gripped your hips tightly as you kissed his neck. He softly panted as you sucked a hickie on his collar bone. His eyes closed and his hands grasped at your bottom.
You lightly pushed at his chest for him to lay back. He flopped to the bed. His erection painfully tight in his pants. You unbuttoned and pulled them off. You shimmied out of your pants and panties. Peter tried to unclasp your bra and you helped him because he wasn't getting it.
You reached in your night stand for the box of condoms as Peter massaged your breasts. You opened the box to find it empty. Your head flopped down as you showed him the box in disappointment. He groaned.
"How are we out?" He whined.
"Uh.." you thought of the last time you had sex. It was after a basketball game and Peter actually took charge and pinned you against the headboard. You had mindless grabbed a condom from the box in the heat of the moment.
"We'll have to get creative," you said simply before bending and kissing his belly button. He shuttered at the sensation.
"Are you gonna?... oh my God," Peter said closing his eye tightly as you took him in your mouth. You were the first girl to go down on him and he still couldn't handle it. Peter began whining as you kitten licked the tip.
When you took him deep in your mouth he whimpered and grasped at the sheets. He was trying hard to not cum. You bobbed your head and his hips bucked softly. Peter panted heavily. Unbeknownst to you, his super senses were going crazy.
"I...I'm..." he gasped. You knew he was close the way he twitched. You softly ran a hand on his thigh as you took him deeper in your mouth. A panicked look flashed across his face and he made a strangled gasp as he came.
A knock at the door made you jump. Peter scrambled to put on his pants. You pulled your clothes on quickly and called, "just a minute." You looked at yourself in the mirror to make sure you didn't look crazy before opening a crack in the door. It was your RA.
"Don't forget that we have a haunted hay ride tonight," she said bubbly. She handed you an orange flyer with the info. You thanked her and shut the door.
Peter sat awkwardly on the bed. You smiled at him. "We should go. Oh, crap. Its almost time," you said looking at your phone.
Peter pulled his shirt on and nodded. "Yeah, okay. You don't want me to..." he trailed off. You grinned at him.
"Afterwards. We can stop at Walgreens on the way back," you whispered and winked. You grabbed your hoodie, okay Peter's, and pulled him to the subway.
Soon you arrived at the stop for the park the university was using for their hay ride. They had a food stand to buy hot chocolate and cider donuts. Kids ran around dressed as characters. Peter grinned largely at any superheroes.
You climbed on the hay ride next to Peter. He held your hand with one hand and wrapped his arm around your shoulder on the other. Soon the trailer was full of college kids and teenagers. A man dressed as a skeleton jumped on the front of the trailer dramatically.
"I'm going to take you to hell!" He began dramatically. An older woman looked at him sternly. "Not really, sorry Mrs Smith. Anyways I'm going to tell you all about the horrors of the park." She raised her eyebrows and he corrected, "the history of the park."
He began telling a story about a legend of the park as the trailer slowly drove down the gravel path dimly lit with Christmas lights around trees. You couldn't quite pay attention because of Peter's close proximity and your unfinished earlier activity.
"This bridge was built in 1904 by the city council because it was common for carriages to get stuck in the mud. During high river level that could be dangerous. So it's probably plenty haunted of people who drown," the guide whispered darkly. The trailer creaked over the bridge decorated with plastic bats and spiders.
"Tyler," Mrs Smith chided.
"Sorry, probably not super haunted. Not as haunted as our next spot that was an early medical facility. Which is also probably not haunted," he said after her look.
Peter suddenly sat straighter and looked around. His spidey senses were tingling. A loud clangour and then screech came from the bridge where the truck and trailer behind them was. Peter jumped from the trailer, grabbed his web shooters and mask from his back pack, and hoped you didn't see him swing through the trees. You definitely saw him. Your blood stopped in confusion and fear. The bridge wiggled visibly. People on the trailer shreiked.
"Karen, what's wrong?" Peter asked.
"Bolts on the top left of the northern side of the bridge are compromised. A 45% chance of collapse," Karen said. Peter cautiously swung close to the side. Ancient metal flaked gold rust.
"Jesus, has anyone ever updated this bridge?" Peter asked himself. He began webbing the broken bolts together. Above him the driver of the truck tried to drive forward. A bolt on the right side snapped loudly and the bridge began to lean the opposite direction.
"There is now an 85% chance of collapse. You need to get them off the bridge, Peter," Karen warned.
"On it," He yelped swinging to the other side. Peter webbed the bolts together. "Drive," he yelled at the driver. The man nodded before flooring the truck. The bridge groaned but held as it drove over. The bridge creaked and whined as it shook. Peter quickly swung away from it and into a tree. In a deafening groan, the bridge collapsed into the river below.
Peter climbed high in the tree to avoid being seen. He pulled off the mask and web shooter and shoved them in his pockets. The police began to arrive and Peter weaved his way through the crowd to you. He prayed that somehow you wouldn't notice his lack of presence.
You searched for him in the crowd. Peter was Spider-Man. Peter was Spider-Man, your mind kept repeating. You lost sight of him as the bridge collapsed. Suddenly you saw him searching for you in the crowd. You ran to him and hugged his roughly.
"You're okay," you gasped. He wrapped his arms around you. You pulled back. "Peter, we need to talk. Not here."
"Uhh.. w-why?" He asked nervously.
"You know," you said seriously. He visibly gulped and looked at you warily. You refused to let go of his hand as you left the growing crowd.
Back at his dorm you sat on the edge of his bed. He stood nearby awkwardly running his hands along the edge of his sweater. The room felt incredibly silent.
"So... you're Spider-Man?" You began.
"Uh... yeah..."
"How? How can you do that... stuff?" You asked confused. He was very strong, you knew. But a superhero? Your boyfriend?
"Well... uh... I was uh.. bit by a spider," he mumbled running a hand through his hair.
"A spider? What kind of spider? Are you messing with me?" You asked.
"No, no, I'm not. At Oscorp I was bit by a radioactive spider that changed my DNA," he said biting his lip. "And now I can do stuff. Don't tell anyone."
"That's... crazy. How long? What can you do? Did you really fight captain America?" You asked rapidly. He smiled slightly.
"It doesn't bother you?"
"Uh... I worry about you. But its... its actually kinda hot," you said slyly. Peter's eyes widened.
"It... uh... it is?" He said quickly. You nodded.
"Too bad we didn't stop at the store," you mumbled.
"I'll go right now. If.. If you want," he said eagerly. You laughed.
"Uh, yeah. Sure," you flushed. He grabbed your face and kissed you before running out the door. You grinned at the thought. Now what should you do? Take everything off? Take some things off? Put on his clothing? Do nothing?
You turned on his radio and walked the room. There were subtle clues to Spider-Man everywhere. He had a photo of a spider on his bulletin board and what looked like a blue print of an iron man armor. A newspaper claiming the evils of Spider-Man sat on the desk. His genetics textbook sat on top despite him taking the class the year before.
Peter came back lightning fast. His face pink and his hands clutching a small bag. He dropped the bag on the bed and walked behind you where you were looking at an old photo. Peter wrapped his arms around you.
"What are you looking at?" He said kissing your neck.
"Your graduation. You looked so happy," you smiled running a hand to his hair.
"I almost didn't make it on time. There was a bus that ran through traffic I barely stopped," he remembered. You turned to look at him.
"That's insane. You stopped it with your bare hands?" You said looking at his brown eyes in amazement. He blushed.
"Uh.. yeah, I did."
"That means you can lift a lot," you said with an idea. "There is... uh, something I want to try if that's okay..."
"What? What is it?" Peter asked.
"Can you pick me up when we.. you know," you said looking away.
"You want me to pick you up while having sex? I can do that," Peter said grabbing the back of your legs and wrapping them around his waist. You gasped in surprise. Somehow between your earlier activities, the fear from earlier, and this new knowledge about Peter, you've never been more turned on.
You grabbed his face and began kissing him. Peter groaned as you lightly pulled his hair. He carried you to the bed and laid you down softly. Peter pulled off his shirt and you scrambled out of yours. He grasped the buttons on your jeans and pulled them down. You unbuttoned his pants and pulled them off. Peter quickly yanked his boxers down and then your panties.
You grasped him and rubbed your thumb over his tip as you pumped him. He groaned in your hand. He ran a finger up your slit and rubbed a few circles around your clit before pulling his hand away. You moaned slightly. Peter pulled your hand from his cock and moved to grab a condom. You ran your hand between your legs and began circling your aching clit.
"Woah," he said when he was done rolling the condom on. "That's so hot. Like, wow."
You pinched a nipple between the fingers of your other hand. Your hips rocked as you fucked your fingers. Peter gulped and massaged himself while watching. You pulled your fingers from yourself and put it in your mouth and tasted yourself. He had never seen you do that.
"God, you're fucking beautiful," he groaned. You gave him a come hither motion and he practically hopped across the room. "Do you want me to pick you up? Like- like you said," he stuttered. You nodded.
He wrapped his arms around your bottom ad you grasped his shoulders as he pulled you up. You felt his arousal on your thigh. You kissed him, running your tongue in his mouth to massage his. Your hips ground on him and his hips jumped at the contact.
Peter pulled your hips slightly back and guided you on his length. Nether of you had ever tried this before. You stilled at the sensation. He felt so good in you. Finally you took him deep as you could and began grinding on him again. You could tell Peter wanted more but this position was perfect for rubbing your clit again him.
"Bounce, baby. Please," he finally whined. You began thrusting slowly. His hands deeply massaged your ass cheeks. You groaned as he hit the perfect spot inside you. Every once in a while you swirled your hips and Peter would whine softly. Peter tried to let you control, and you clenched around him felt amazing, but he needed more so he began moving your hips for you setting a harder and faster pace.
You felt your core tighten as you got closer. "Peter, fuck, Peter, fuck," you moaned as he bounced you on his cock. He got a perfect view of your head thrown back and tits bouncing. "Don't stop, it feels so good."
"Yeah, you're so fucking tight and wet. Gonna make me cum, baby girl," he groaned. You gasped in surprise. Peter had never said anything like that. He opened his eyes and slowed down to see what was wrong. "What?"
"Don't fucking stop. I'm close. Keep talking," you groaned as your hips bounced. He growled and continued bouncing you.
"So tight. Such a perfect pussy. Taking it so good. God, I love you," He whimpered lying his head on your shoulder. He was trembling trying not to come.
"Don't stop. Don't stop. dontstop. I'm gonna cum. Gonna cum. Gonnacum," you gasped and your body clenched around his cock and you moaned loudly in ecstasy and your thighs shook. He sped up before losing his pace and he gasped loudly in release, his cock twitching inside you. You kept your legs wrapped around him. His chest beat wildly next to yours. Too soon he laid you on the bed and removed the condom and threw it away. He scooted by you and pulled you on his chest. You lazily ran your fingers on his hand. He rubbed your outer arm with the thumb of his other hand.
"That was... I thought... it was... that was great. Did you-did you think so," he babbled nervously. You smiled.
"Babe, that was awesome. We should definitely do that again. Next week I get my loan and I'll be going to the doctor," you said.
"Oh, for like a check up?" He asked.
"Yeah, and I'm gonna get on birth control," you said casually. Peter stopped moving.
"Does that mean no more condoms?" He asked hopefully. You laughed heartily.
"Yeah, hun, it does. We've got a little while for it to work and everything. You know what we should do?" You asked.
"I'm a... a little to tired-" Peter began.
"Not that. We should get a pumpkin," you said sitting up. You reached over for your clothing and began putting them on. "You know? since we missed it with my boyfriend having to save the day and all. I wanted to get one today."

MHA X Marvel
Chapter 4: Babysitting
Izuku, Ochako, Peter, and Mary Jane walked May to school, "ok May, remember" said Peter "Izuku and Ochako will pick you up after school and they will take care of you while Mommy and Daddy are out of town" "ok Daddy" said May swinging her arms back and forth as she held her parents hands, as Izuku and Ochako walked behind them seeing this just made the couple think the same thing "so cute." The next few moments flew by rather quickly, after they dropped May off Peter, and Mary Jane took Izuku, and Ochako to the administration office to let them know that the young couple was picking May up, they then made their way back to the apartment where a cab was waiting to take the married couple away "ok remember, she’s allergic to shellfish" said Mary Jane "her bed time is 9:00, or until she passes out, if she doesn't be sure to read her a story" "also no scary movies with her, but if she does get scarred, get her, her bunny" "ok got it" replied Ochako "also remember" added Peter "don't worry we've got it" said Izuku "alright well take care of May" "we will have a fun weekend" Peter and Mary Jane got in the back of the cab, and drove off. Izuku and Ochako got up to the Parkers apartment, "man this place is nice" said Ochako "I know that's what I thought when I first got here" "and you said this also doubles as his hero office" "yeah I did but it's weird, you think someone as big as Spider-Man would have there own office" "yeah I know so what's the plan for today?" Asked Ochako as she sat down on couch "well I'm thinking" said Izuku as he sat down next to her "after we pick up May from school, we bring her here, help her with any homework she has, then we take her out to eat, bring her home, watch whatever movie she wants and then tuck her in bed" "and after that? "Then we watch whatever movie we want to watch" "yeah, but seeing as we're not making dinner tonight, what are we gonna do until we have to pick up May?" "Oh that is true, we have a few hours before we have to pick her up, what to do?" The couple thought about this for a minute before Ochako gave a suggestion "we could make out on the bed and have a little fun" Izuku was kind of shocked by how forward she was being, but he wasn't going to object "yeah let's do that" the couple jumped off the couch and rushed to the bedroom to have their fun. A few hours later, Izuku and Ochako picked up May from school, and everything went as planned, they took May home, helped her with her homework, took her out to Pizza, and then came back, and May wanted to watch Tangled, however an hour into the movie May fell asleep, Izuku picked her up and tucked her into bed then came back to the living room "she asleep?" Asked Ochako "yep she wore herself out" "man she's so cute, she kinda reminds me of Eri" "yeah she does, I hope she's doing ok in school" "I'm sure she is, anyway movies almost over, so you want to put in another one after this?" "Sure let's see what they have" they eventually picked Avatar, however 10 minutes into the movie the couple stopped paying attention, and where just making out. About 15 minutes later, they were still making out, laying on top of her boyfriend Ochako has already taken her shirt off, and Izuku was about to do the same, but before he could they heard a noise come from the kitchen, with their hero reactions kicking in, Ochako hopped off of Izuku and quickly put her shirt back on, Izuku jumped off the couch and made his way to the kitchen Ochako only a few steps behind, the two turned on the lights in the kitchen and where ready for just about anything, except for what they actually saw. May was sticking to the kitchen cabinet right above an open Cookie Jar, she already had a cookie in her mouth, and before Izuku and Ochako could react, May leapt over their heads and out of the kitchen, she then crawled on the walls towards her room "she’s fast" said Izuku as he and Ochako as they chased after her, a few seconds later the two entered May's room where she was sitting on her bed cookie in hand and a panicked look on her face, the couple weren't entirely sure how to react to the situation, but the Izuku stepped in with smile on his face and an excited tone "wow May I didn't know your quirk kicked in, that's awesome, it looks like it’s similar to your Dads" as he said that May started to cry, the couple was taken aback by this, Ochako then rushed over to May's side to comfort her "sweetie what's wrong?" "Mommy and Daddy aren't gonna love me anymore" Izuku then came over and sat on the other side of May "sweetie why would your parents not love you anymore?" "I once heard Mommy and Daddy talking and Daddy said that he didn't like his quirk, and when I got my quirk and it was like his I thought he wouldn't love me anymore" Izuku and Ochako looked at each other with concern "sweetie" said Ochako "I know your parents are still gonna love you no matter what your quirk is" "May do you want me to talk to your Dad about it?" Asked Izuku, May was a bit hesitant at first, but after a few seconds she shook her head yes "ok I'll be back" Izuku got up and pulled out his phone. Izuku stood in the hallway outside of May's room he pressed Peter's number in his contacts, it rang for a few seconds, and the Izuku heard Peter's voice "Hey Izuku, is everything alright?" "Yeah, everything is fine, I just need to talk to you about something" "what's up?" "Well did you know that May's quirk developed?" "Wait did it just develop oh my God, that great, ah man I can't believe we missed it" "actually her quirk apparently developed some time ago, she just didn't tell anyone" "wait what, her quirks been active for how long? Why wouldn't she tell us?" "Apparently she heard a conversation you and Mary Jane had, something about you not liking your quirk, she thought you wouldn't love her if she had a quirk just like yours" there was a bit of silence before Peter spoke again "damn it I'm an idiot, Izuku can you put May on the phone?" "Yeah sure" Izuku stepped back into the room "May your Dad wants to talk to you" Izuku handed his phone to May who then put it to her ear "hello Daddy" "Hey tiger lily, listen I just want to let you know that no matter what your quirk is, me and Mommy are still going to love you, no matter what" May started to cry a little "thank you Daddy I love you too" "alright I know its past your bed time but other than that are you being a good girl for Izuku and Ochako" May looked at Izuku and Ochako, they nodded their head yes "yes I'm being a good girl" "ok that's good, now I'll see you on Sunday, goodnight we love you" "I love you and Mommy too, goodnight" May hung up the phone and handed back to Izuku "alright I say it's time for all of us to go to bed" said Izuku "now I'm gonna let you get away with this one cookie, but no more late night snacks ok" "ok" said May "now let's read you a story and then let's all go to bed" said Ochako. After May fell asleep, Izuku and Ochako decided that after that whole episode that they didn't want to finish the movie and just go to bed. After the couple changed into the sleeping clothes, they got into bed "I'm really glad that all worked out" said Ochako "yeah me too, but that does bring up the question" replied Izuku "what?" "Why would Peter not like his quirk, he's got super strength, speed, wall crawling, that spider-sense, I mean he's not as strong as say All Might, or even me when using 100% of one for all, but it's still a versatile quirk with many uses plus with his own intelligence he can do all sorts of amazing things" before he could contiue Ochako shook his shoulder "babe your mumbling again" "oh sorry, I just don't see why he wouldn't like his quirk, it pretty amazing" "well whatever his reason is, I'm sure he will tell us if he wants to" "yeah I guess your right" "like always, anyway goodnight" "goodnight" the couple kissed and then went to sleep. The rest of the weekend went off without a hitch, on top of making sure May ate correctly, they took her to the park, they watched plenty of Princesses movies, and they even tested out her quirk. Sunday afternoon Perter and MJ walked back into their apartment and found Izuku, Ochako, and May watching the Princess and the Frog, when May saw her Parents, she jumped on the wall, and crawled over to them "Mommy, Daddy, your home" Peter grabbed his Daughter and brought her into bear hug "Hey there tiger lily, it's good to see you again, but let's not make wall crawling in the house a regular thing ok" "ok" Izuku and Ochako got off the couch and walked to meet the Parkers "oh Izuku, Ochako how was May this weekend?" Asked MJ "oh she was great" said Ochako "well that's good, so you two want to stay for dinner" "we would love too, but we really should get going, early day tomorrow" said Izuku "ok well one again thank you for looking after May" said Peter "it was no problem, well we should get going" "alright well take care" Peter out down May, she then went up to Izuku and Ochako who bent down to her level, May then hugged them and they hugged back "do you have to go?" Asked May "Yes May we have to go" Replied Ochako "will you come back and play with me again?" "Of course" said Izuku "we'll come back and play really soon" Izuku and Ochako got up and walked towards the door "bye bye" said May "Bye May" said the couple but before they walked out the door Izuku put his hand on Peter's shoulder "Hey Peter if theirs anything you need to talk about, you can come to me, you know that right" "yeah I know" and with that Izuku and Ochako left the apartment eagerly wait for the next time they can babysit.

Teenage Mutant Spider-Kid (Reader x Peter Parker/Spider-Man) [Pt. 1(?)]
I’ve been in love with Spider-Man for as long as I can remember and I didn’t realize there was a whole world of imagines and one shots based on the love of my life.
So here’s a fem reader insert in which the reader is a spiderling but she is a mutant born with her powers (pretty much all the same with her own quirk, and she produces her own webs, and doesn’t need the shooters like Peter does). I was thinking that the reader is a vigilante by night and tries to keep a low profile so people don’t know about her vigilante identity. She does this because she had a sheltered childhood (due to being a mutant) and had lots of time to play with computers, thus becoming a decorated hacker and being able to hack into cameras of the areas she works in. The reader’s secrecy gets blown when Spidey and her meet each other to save the same person. Then it turns out they go to the same school…
I think that’s enough background/introduction for the start… Onwards, friends!
Fair warning: I like to write long ones, so strap in and have your popcorn ready. This one will probably be a series if it gets received well or people request so. ^.^

Word count: 3,140
Warnings: Just some minuscule cussing, also I figured with the character being so sheltered most of her life, she has trouble socializing and has social anxiety
For most people, soaring around New York would be fun and invigorating. But most people weren’t like you; you did this almost nightly, and just weren’t feeling it tonight. You’d been patrolling the streets from above ever since you moved there over the summer. But no one knew of your presence in New York thanks to your hacking skills and being overshadowed by Spider-Man. You also usually took smaller crimes unlike the ones that your counterpart normally dealt with.
After hearing about Spider-Man, you begged your parents to let you do the same. You were what everyone called a mutant; born with unimaginable abilities due to a mutation in your DNA. This mutation actually gave you abilities just like Spider-Man and you wanted to meet him so much. You’d never met any other mutants that were like you, and you wanted to talk to someone about it. Being a teenage mutant was rough, especially if you’d been home schooled most of your life and you were just started public school for the first time. And not just any school, it was high school.
You pulled out a squished granola bar from your pocket, pulled the bottom of your mask up to reveal your mouth, and start nervously nibbling on your snack. After months of constantly bothering your parents, you finally convinced them to let you start public school and the lot of you moved from the middle of nowhere to the Big Apple.
The first month of school had gone okay, considering you were socially inept. Pretty much all the acquaintances you’d made were all because they approached you. That and your parents encouraged you to join the computer science club. It was going pretty good…
Your thoughts were interrupted by a beeping and vibrating from the smart watch on your wrist. Shortly after you’d heard about the Spider-Man, you had tapped into the police scanners and did some programming for it to notify you when key words or phrases were said over their radios.
“Armed robbery…” you scrunched up the granola bar wrapper and stuffed it into the pocket of your suit.
Mom would kill me.
Even though you snuck out every night against your parents’ wishes, you told yourself that you wouldn’t take any job that would put yourself in terrible danger. “Ehhhh…” You winced at the thought of your parents’ faces if you came home with tons of bruises or scratches, but you’d been doing nothing but stopping petty muggings and shoplifts. Nothing this exciting had happened since you started sneaking out.
You pulled your mask back into place and leaped from the top of the building you were perched on. You free fell for a few moments, closing your eyes and taking in the feeling of freedom, then shot a web to a building ahead to start your journey to the crime scene.
Another buzz from your smart watch; the suspects were fleeing on foot through the maze of alleyways just a couple blocks away from the victim convenience store. You were worried about being spotted by the cops while in the air, so you landed on the top of an apartment building and started sprinting and vaulting along the rooftops.
Not long after you landed, you spotted the perpetrators skulking in the alley you just jumped over. You quickly booted up a program on your watch that hones in on your location and disables any cameras within a block of where you are. With that, you start crawling in the darkness of the alley walls, with your black suit to help you blend into the night.
“I think… we lost ‘em, man.” One of the two men panted and slid down the wall to hide behind a dumpster. The other wasn’t so sure; he kept looking behind his back and across to the other end of the alley, which was blocked off by a high fence with a locked gate.
“I don’t know… we could get lucky and miss a visit from the Spider-Man, but our luck ain’t that great…” He kept looking over his shoulder and leaned against the wall opposite of his partner. You were wondering whether you should surprise them by landing in between them or webbing their stolen goods.
Before you could decide, another figure swooped in and landed on the open end of the alley, cutting off their only means of escape. You stared in awe, because it was him; the Spider-Man you’d admired for so long was standing right in front of you and he didn’t see you. You skulked along the wall towards the gated end and waited.
“Hello fellas! Whatcha got there?” He stretched his neck to get a look at what the men had stolen.
“It’s the Bug Man!” One of them pointed was starting to scramble up to his feet.
“It’s actually Spider-Man, but whatever.” He shrugged. “So, you gonna share some of that with me or…?” The men tried to make their escape to the fence, but you jumped from the wall and forced yourself between the two of them and their exit. “Who–?” Spider-Man started, but then refocused on the criminals as both of them held up a gun at each of you.
They smirked confidently, but just as soon as they’d gotten the guns out you and Spider-Man disarmed them with your webs. They growled in frustration, but attempted to lunge towards the two of you. Before he could even think about how to hurt you, you swung your leg around and he fell with a thud on his back. Before he could say “ow” you tied him up with your webs and hung him from an overhead fire escape. You held up your wrist to check the time.
You were making good time, if you didn’t leave soon the cops would probably be here, and you didn’t want them to know you existed. You shot a web to the roof of the building next to you and was ready to launch yourself up. “Wait!” Spider-Man ran towards you. “Who are you?!” You hesitated and gripped the web tighter in your hands.
“You have to promise not to tell anyone about me.” You tugged on the web and launched yourself to the roof. You heard him try to chase after you, but you were faster, and already around the corner before he could even get out of that alley. While you were swinging back to your home, you were running what just happened through your head.
It happened so fast–just as you’d originally hoped–but you wanted to be able to talk with him more. You’d been dreaming of that moment for so long, but your need to keep your existence a secret had outweighed your want to meet your idol. If any news of your vigilante identity was learned by the general public, then your parents would immediately know it was you.
You looked down at the time again: 2:09 am it glowed, and you decided to turn in early. Tomorrow was Monday, and you didn’t want to start the week any grumpier than you needed to be.
You swung to your room’s window and crept in as quietly as you could, stripping the suit off, trading it for your pajamas, and hiding it under your mattress. You set your smart watch in a drawer in your desk and hopped into bed.
I still can’t believe I met Spider-Man today… You closed your eyes and slowly drifted into slumber.
Y/N… Y/N…
You grumbled and covered your face with your covers. Suddenly, said covers were torn from your body and you were exposed to the coldness of your bedroom. You curled up to keep the heat in.
“Y/N, you’re going to be late! Get up!” You mother shook you awake. You glanced over at your alarm clock with glazed eyes and tried to focus them onto the numbers. 7:15 am You cursed loudly, and shot out of bed as if you hadn’t stayed up late the night before. You threw on a random graphic tee, some jeans, your Converse, and stuffed all your homework that was on your desk into your backpack. You quickly brushed your teeth, rinsed with some mouthwash (almost swallowing it in your haste), grabbed your glasses and went for the door. “Don’t forget your gloves!” Your mom reminded, and you ran back to your room to find them on your desk.
“What about breakfast?” Your dad said behind his phone. You tore through the pantry frantically, looking for the granola bars. You snatched one, held it up, and ran out the door. “Have a nice day! Love you!” Your mom managed to get out as fast as she could before you tore down the stairs.
Midtown High was far enough away that you needed to take the morning bus to get there. “Shit shit shit….” You muttered as you were waiting at the bus stop, tapping your foot impatiently. You looked at the time again–7:30 am. Even though you got ready at super speed (which wasn’t an ability you had), there was no way you’d make it to school on time. The only way you’d make it was if…
No. You can’t. You scolded yourself silently for even thinking about it. Even if it were faster to travel by web, you wouldn’t dare show yourself in broad daylight. Your bus finally arrived and you hopped on as quickly as you could, trying to stay calm while sitting as close to the exit as possible. Looking at the time, you knew for sure you’d be late, so you pulled up Facebook Messenger on your phone and sent one of your classmates a text.
Hey, I’m gonna be hella late for class. Could you let Mr. Bradly know for me?
Send. The bus departed, and you kept checking your phone every 2 seconds for a reply. Your phone buzzed and checked the reply.
I got you, girl. 👍
Though it wasn’t much, your anxiety subsided slightly. Your stop was coming up, and before the bus was even close to stopping you were up and ready to bolt once those doors were open.
You ran across the street and down the block to reach the entrance of Midtown High. It was a pretty grand and nice high school, but then again, you haven’t seen many high schools. You rushed into the office and checked in, then sped-walked to your classroom on the other side of the building.
It was terrifying to walk into the class as the teacher was talking. Most of the people looked back at you when they heard the door open and stared at you as you quietly made your way to your assigned (but not assigned) seat. As you were getting your things out of your backpack, you were hoping and praying that your teacher wouldn’t stop his lecture to ridicule you, especially in front of the whole class.
He simply acknowledged your entrance with a glance and continued with what he was talking about. Thank GOD. You screamed in your head. You took a deep breath and let out the quietest sigh you could, as you finally had the chance to relax after rushing to get there. What a great way to start the week. You mentally rolled your eyes and paid attention to what was going on in class.
It wasn’t until after first period that you realized you’d forgotten to put on your gloves. Unlike Spider-Man, you had an additional ability to poison people with just a touch from your fingertips. You had learned to control it for the most part, but you and your parents were still unsure about it so you always wore gloves. You didn’t want to possibly kill some poor teenager or stranger on the street. You were lucky that you didn’t touch anyone on the way from the bus stop. Once they were on, you felt much more relaxed and headed towards one of your favorite classes: Algebra.
Most of your peers either hated, or were indifferent about the subject, but you loved it. Unlike literature, math was a language that made sense to you. You should’ve been taking Calculus, but it would cause credit issues and scheduling problems so you just took the advanced math offered to sophomores at Midtown. It was one of the easiest classes for you, and it wasn’t long until your teacher asked you to be a tutor, and not only for Algebra, but up into Calculus as well.
There was only one other student as young as you, and it was some kid genius named Peter Parker. You’d never met him since you started school, but he was pretty famous amongst your nerd circle. Everyone in that group was very intelligent, but Peter was described to be godly in a way. In all honesty, you wanted to befriend him, but your social skills weren’t the best. You had a lot of classmates you considered close acquaintances but no close friends yet. You were hoping you’d get the gist of things once you settled into Midtown’s student body.
“Hey, Y/N, that’s
him
.” Someone nodded towards a boy at the other end of the cafeteria with brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a button-up and a sweater over it and fit the whole “genius” character.
“That’s Peter Parker?” You weren’t impressed. Even though he fit the nerd archetype, he just didn’t scream genius to you. But who were you to judge? He even sat by himself; well with his friend which you had a class or two with named Ned. “Why do they sit by themselves?” You asked.
“Ehh, he’s not very social.”
“He’s too damn smart to be sitting with us ‘commoners.’“ One of them smirked.
“He’s probably thinking about how dumb we are compared to him.” Another remarked.
With every stab they made at him, you were getting angrier and angrier. How could they be so cruel to someone they never even talked to? It sounded like a lot of assumptions on their part, and it was pissing you off. You then did something that you’d never wanted to do, and that was shout.
“You’re just jealous!” You spat and then recoiled at the suddenness of your aggression. The tables around you were starting to stare. You immediately regretted the outburst, but kept going. “I-I’m smart too,” you stuttered softer, “but I don’t hear you complaining about me.” A short pause.
“Well, you don’t flaunt it around, Y/N.”
“Yeah!”
“Well, neither does he, but your heads seem to be too far up your asses to notice!” You slammed your hands on the table as you got up and grabbed your backpack and tray.
“Y/N…” one of them muttered, but you were already storming off to an empty table.
Your hands were shaking, and you felt like tears were coming. You’d just ruined any chances of becoming friends with any of them. Your brain started relaying all the worst-case scenarios: they’d never talk to you ever again; they’d sabotage your science projects out of spite; they’d give you hell in computer science club. The list was endless, and your brain was checking off each and everyone of them as a possibility. Not only that, but the people who were around your table would know how angry you’d gotten and probably think you were some jerk.
You were about to get up to dump your food in the trash and seek shelter in the bathroom, but you heard someone sit in a chair across from you. Oh God… please go away… You tried to calm the shaking down in your hands but it wasn’t stopping. There was an awkwardly long pause, and the mysterious person asked, “Hey, um, are you okay?” It was a calm and almost welcoming voice, if that made any sense, and it belonged to a boy.
You shook your head and kept your head facing down on the table and your arms hiding your head from their view. “Do you need to go to the nurse?” Your leg was shaking erratically. What was this feeling? You felt like you were in danger, but nothing was happening…
“I-I’m fine…” Your voice wavered and you tried to take deep breaths.
“Seriously,” he whispered, “if you need me to walk you to the nurse’s office I will.” Not knowing what to do, you nodded and slowly sat up to get a look at the stranger. It was Peter Parker, out of all the people to come to your aid, it was him. Was this some cruel irony? “I can take your tray…” He offered and you nodded, catching a glance at his calm and kind demeanor. You felt like the whole cafeteria was staring at you, so you hoisted your backpack and tried to escape the room as quick as you could. “Wait–” you immediately stop, because there was a familiarity in his voice that sparked a curiosity.
You’d never met Peter before this horrendous encounter, but something about him seemed so familiar. It was a good thing you stopped because he had to gather his things and tell his friend where he was going. After walking out of the cafeteria, you ease up slightly, and let out a huge sigh.
“Um, I’m Peter, by the way. Peter Parker.”
“I know.” You didn’t even think twice, and realized how rude you sounded. “Sorry, I know of you. I’m Y/N.” You hold out your hand to shake, and he takes it.
“Y/N? Are you one of the math tutors?”
“Um, yeah. I like math…” You look down at the ground. He noticed how uncomfortable it made you, and tried to combat it.
“I only ask because I thought I saw your name on the list recently.” He gave a nervous chuckle and scratched the back of his neck. “So I guess there’s two geniuses in our class now.” He joked and you shrugged.
“I wouldn’t call myself a genius…” You were confident in your intelligence, but never really considered yourself a genius. “I was home schooled and got into computers to pass the time, that’s all.”
“Really? That’s cool, ‘cause that’s a hobby of mine!” His eyes lit up and so did yours for a brief moment. You were going to say something else on the subject, but you looked up at the sign over the door ahead and realized you had made it to your destination.
“Thank you for walking me here, Peter. I really appreciate it.” You bit your lip, a nervous habit of yours, and he smiled.
“No problem, Y/N.” There was a long pause, and you didn’t know what to say or do.
“Um, I’ll see you around.” You opened the door to the nurse’s office and gave a little wave.
“Yeah, I’ll see you around…”
