Question. How do you think the TFP bots each find the squishies that are humans look. Like aesthetically. Which ones find them cute or gross or funny looking? Cause in the Scraplet episode, Ratchet said “Typically I find your fleshiness your least engaging qualities.” Meaning that Ratchet find the humans gross to some extent, meaning that the Autobots does have aesthetic opinions about the humans. And it seems like everyone got different opinions. So what’s your head canon for each of their opinions?

Ooooooh now this is a question I will happily answer!

Ratchet: His views on humans and squishies in general is summed up to GROSS. He sees humans as essentially a bunch of organs in a poorly made plastic bag walking around on stilts. They are worse than hairless cats in his optics. They may be nice enough, but he would prefer to poke them with sticks or handle them with a hazmat suit if given a choice. He's warmed up to them, but will never find them particularly appealing. Interesting? Yes. Appealing? Primus no.

Bumblebee: Bumblebee thinks humans are a little unsettling, but he appreciates them in the way one would a pet tarantula. He can find something to see as appealing in them, although as a general rule he is not particularly enthralled with them. He is fond of human eyes, largely because their pupils dilate a great deal like how his optics cycle. He also finds it fascinating how many colors humans can have their eyes up being.

Arcee: She sits in the same boat as Ratchet for the most part. However she has one aspect of humanity that she is surprisingly fond of. She thinks human hair is quite "cute" in a sense. It reminds her somewhat of stories of Solus and she has always found it fun how humans can style their hair in so many unique ways. She has even gone so far as to ask June to teach her how to braid hair simply because Arcee also finds the texture of hair to be facinating.

Bulkhead: His thoughts on humanity can be summed up simply with: Smol Beans. He thinks they are adorable in the way one would look at a mouse and think it cute. Sure humans can do gross things like execrate and create strange internal liquids and sounds, but they are just so small. He can't help but find that fact appealing.

Wheeljack: He is neither grossed out or really invested in humans. He could care less what they look like. He's been everywhere and seen everything, so very little bothers him anymore when meeting new races. He does think that human teeth are interesting though. Cybertronians have their own version of the mouth bones, but humans growing the mouth bones and then having a few sets of them is something he just thinks is rather inspiring.

Smokescreen: He... doesn't like humans. He's in Ratchet's boat, but he's a lot less tactful in his outward reactions. His first few weeks on Earth involved a lot of gagging at humans as a whole. Squishies are not his cup of tea, but he's learned to handle it for the most part. So long as the squishes are clothed reasonably, he can pretend they are armored and ignore the fact that they are walking bags of bits and bone.

Optimus: He doesn't mind humanity. He doesn't think they are physically appealing in any real regard, but he admires their minds. Such small creatures holding hope and intellect on par with the more technological races is something he finds impressive. He also holds an appreciation for their voices simply because they are clear and without complication. It is new, and for that reason he finds it beautiful in a sense.

Ultra Magnus: He doesn't like humans. Period. He tolerates them for the sake of the team and negotiations, and he may be appreciative of human comrades and friends. But the species as a whole? He is not fond of them. He is largely more confused than anything else. He has no idea how such a fleshy and delicate species lasted so long. But he has largely shrugged it off and moved on with life.

Buddy just wanted to mind their own business, that was all.

They rather just take pictures and videos of curious looking organic life on this planet.

That led Buddy to acquire their alt mode from a local tech shop.

Not only could they take pictures in the daytime and nighttime, but they could also go into populated places and most people don’t even bat an eye.

Buddy likes showing off their works to the passing bots they come across.

Team that tries to persuade Buddy to join the team

These bots try to get the little drone to join them. They could be of great use and an addition to the team. Of course, it’s not just because of their alt mode, but a part of it does lie in their stealth. Whenever Buddy does show up, they usually have a video or picture they like to share with them. They are patient enough to see a few here and there. They will ask Buddy multiple times if they want to join. Some do back off after a couple of attempts, while others just continue to ask. They believe that one way or another they are going to wear them down.

These bots have a tolerance level that is constantly put to the test whenever Buddy is around. Buddy’s brutally honest talks are sometimes refreshing in certain situations, other times however, are just plain rude. Whether Buddy knows or not, they don’t know. They have a daily limit of pictures and video Buddy can show them before it starts to get annoying. They will pester the drone about joining the team for the advantage but will stop after a while.

These bots find it fun to hang out with someone who isn’t so wound up about the war. Sure, war is a big factor in everything, but at least they have a hobby. Honestly seeing their videos and photos can make these bots day or entire week depending on the situation. In return these bots will try and spend more time with the little drone, maybe even take a couple of pictures themselves. They do want the drone to join but they will not enforce it too much.

He thinks it's cool! Though it feels a bit weird to see another "him" given his previous experience with impersonation and whatnot (cough cough, Makeshift, cough cough). Still, if you join him on raids to decepticon-controlled energon mines, you could come in pretty handy by acting as a distraction, or by posing as one of the vehicon miners.

Ultra Magnus

According to article 5, section 18 of the National Cybertronian Code, impersonation is a criminal offense, and only legal under the following circumstances—yeah he doesn't take it well. He honestly thinks you're poking fun at him, or mocking him, which he finds extremely rude and disrespectful. Even if it were as a harmless joke, you should know that this guy can't quite tell if this is a joke or blatant disrespect toward a superior officer. Neither would he let a joke like this go off the hook.

Smokescreen

He finds this—honestly he's a bit unsure on how to feel about it. On one hand, this is so cool! You can shapeshift? Does this mean you can also transform? By his books he sorta considers this transforming, since you're changing shape. On the other hand, it's a bit weird to see another him. Still, it's real cool that you can do that. He'll be asking you all about it, what else can you turn into? Could you turn into something bigger? How long can you do this for? Could you turn into things that don't exist, like dragons or unicorns?

Now y’all maybe wondering “why are you specifying rid2015?? Smokescreen was only in TFP, bro doesn’t exist in rid2015–” EXACTLY! Smokescreen wasn’t in rid2015 so most of the stuff made for the ship is for them in TFP but that’s not what I’m trying to sell y’all on

I’m trying to sell y’all on the idea that — if Smokescreen was in rid2015, he would be in a relationship with Bee — hence the specification

Now what y’all are probably asking is “why????”

Well that’s what this post is for!! First off:

The Shenanigans

Idk if y’all remember but Smokey was the silliest bot on Team Prime, easily the most immature mf in the main cast (other than Miko) — now try to tell me without lying to my face that he wouldn’t fit in perfectly with the goofy goobers the make up Team Bee??

He would definitely see himself in Sideswipe and try to bond with him thru pranks and goofing off while also trying to guide him into avoiding the same mistakes he made (ex. Hard Knocks)

He probably makes Strongarm feel conflicted cuz his reckless personality clashes with her image of what an “Elite Guardsman” would act like, but I think Smokescreen would just try to get her to loosen up a bit while not bickering with her unlike what Sideswipe and her usually do

Upon seeing Grimlock he’d immediately go “HOLY SCRAP ARE YOU A DINOBOT!?!?!”, he thinks Grim is so cool and really wants to spar with him

He probably sees Arcee in the way Drift acts and respects him a lot just based on that alone, though he knows it’s gonna take time for him to earn that respect back from Drift (I LOVE HIS CHARACTER GROWTH IN PRIME AND I WILL KEEP THAT IN THIS SILLY LITTLE IDEA OF MINE, HE DID GET BETTER AND I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE IGNORE THAT JUST CUZ THEY FIND HIM ANNOYING)

He’s probably not met much minicons so he’s not used to them, but I can see him having a good friendship with Fixit and being very nice to Jetstorm and Slipstream

He takes one look at Russell, turns to Bee and says “do you have a thing for human kids with brown hair and names starting with R??” Other than that I think he vibes with Russell and Denny well

As for his dynamics with the Decepticons — he’d be making constant quips, he’d make fun of all of them immediately like a robot alien version of Spider-Man — after previously fighting against Megatron himself he cannot take any of the furries of rid2015 seriously

The Fluff

Bee and Smokey learning how to work with each other in the field again, reminiscing about the rare good memories during the war

Bee infodumping about Earth culture to him while Smokey just listens while looking at him with borderline heart eyes

I think Bee really likes physical affection and words of affirmation so randomly Smokey will just hug Bee when they’re in the scrapyard and will compliment him when he does well at leading and mentoring the others cuz he knows that shit ain’t easy (again, he sees himself and Sideswipe and realizes “damn I really was annoying holy scrap I’m so sorry”)

I HC that Smokey can still move his doorwings like he and Bee did in TFP, so whenever he sees Bee and gets excited his flap up and down (I know this is purely self indulgent BUT IN MY DEFENSE THIS ENTIRE POST IS ME BEING SELF INDULGENT, THIS FANDOM IS ALREADY DEAD AS HELL I’D BE SURPRISED IF ANYONE EVEN READS THIS FAR INTO THIS POST, LET ME BE SELF INDULGENT IN PEACE)

When either of them get bad days where they just keep thinking about the war, they do their best to comfort each other thru it cuz, unlike the rest of the team, they were both there for most of the late-war-shit together on Earth — and for the stuff that Smokey wasn’t there for, he just listens and makes sure Bee knows that he’ll always be there for him

The shock of the team finding out that Bee has a partner is amazing and it could happen in so many ways (if y’all wanna see one of my interpretations on how this could go you could check out my fanfic: Old Recruit on AO3)

The team seeing their usually serious team leader be partners with this unserious constant-joker of a bot stores a lot of cute potential stories in it that no one is writing about — like come on guys I want Bee trying to be serious in the scrapyard but then Smokey just hugs him from behind out of nowhere and Bee just has to process it for a sec cuz touch starvation go brrrr while the rest of them is like :O

The Angst

While this section is mainly Smokey focused more than smokebee focused, I’m still adding it cuz this still falls under the “what if smokescreen was in rid2015” idea

Smokey definitely has claustrophobia and a hatred for being restrained in anyway from the TFP (waking up captive on a Decepticon ship after being knocked out, Knockout restraining him on his operating table while he tears the Omega Key from inside his body, being stuck with a dying Optimus in a cramped cave for a while panicking cuz holy shit Optimus, his #1 hero, is fucking dying) so any mission that requires going into a cave or dark & cramped area is gonna cause him to freak out — but of course he wouldn’t actually admit that until it’s too late and he’s having a breakdown in a cave cuz he didn’t want to let his “stupid irrational fear to ruin a mission”

Same goes with Bee and his fears — I touched on this a bit earlier, but Bee & Smokey definitely have some days where they’re gonna feel off and they can’t get the war out of their heads — and those days are gonna be the worst cuz most of the team outside of maybe Drift won’t really understand it

Smokey is gonna have some feelings about Optimus coming back and Bee not telling him immediately — while this isn’t the first time Optimus died and came back to him, last time it was for a few seconds, this was for THREE WHOLE YEARS — he’s still gonna be happy that he’s back, it’s just gonna take awhile longer for him to be ok with it than the others (the way that Ratchet is immediately ok with Optimus coming back out of nowhere in rid!2015 was weird to me so I’m fixing that with Smokey)

While he loves giving Bee physical affection, he hates unwarranted touching from anyone else, specifically stuff like pats or punches on the back (Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha—)

For a potential angsty introduction to Smokey in rid2015: He doesn’t meet up with Team Bee until the finale episode on Cybertron, where he’s being mind controlled by The High Council to capture them (I’m a sucker for brainwashing/mind control/hypnotism plots so I need to understand how BADLY I WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN IN THE SHOW IT WOULD’VE BEEN SO COOL)

I just remembered that I wanted to tell yall about my transformers fan continuity that I made.

I don’t exactly have a name or a plot for it yet… but I do have base info:

-The characters will not have designs from the same continuities as each other. Meaning that… for example: Ratchet is a mix of G1/TFP, Bumblebee is G1 with a little bit of my own stuff, Megatron will most likely be IDW (not sure yet), Blitzwing will be TFA, Optimus Prime will most likely be G1… and other characters will come soon.

this whole continuity was made so that I can make fanart easier without dying on the inside trying to make the designs. Because while I’d love to draw transformers… I realized I’m pretty much garbage with a bunch of continuities, and it made me a bit nervous cause for example, I can draw TFA Blitzwing, but literally NO ONE ELSE from TFA, and I absolutely cannot draw anyone from TFP, which in my case is a nightmare for me because my OTPs are from there (Blitzbee, OpRatch)

-oh yeah! There will be Blitzbee, OpRatch, maybe past Megop (married but had a divorce and had a huge fight, but they are friends now)

-and now… going to my next thing: there are two sections of my continuity, same timeline but one is where Megatron becomes good (like Earthspark, for fluff) and where Megatron is still evil (used for angst) I will hop between those sections probably.

-Bumblebee and Cliffjumper are chaotic bros (wondering if I should make them twins), and Hot Rod and Smokescreen are also in the sibling group (chaotic gremlins)

-Arcee is like a sister but acts more like a mom.

-Bulkhead will be here (it will be a NIGHTMARE to draw him) but he’s like the fun cousin.

-Ratchet and Optimus unfortunately (jk they love it) have to raise these children.

-Will expand on the Decepticons (and Blitzbee) another time… I need time to… uh… get it all… sorted out…

I will edit this post with the extra when I… have everything ready, but I’m open to suggestions too by asks or comments or so. everything is still in the growth stage so not many things are final yet!

First impression: Fun fella! Love his shape and his overall personality!!

Impression now: I see Bulkhead in a more complex light now. I love him still, but I think he is also a lot more deep than I originally saw him as. He's got trauma, deep love for Miko and Wheeljack, has insecurities and probably fears of what his purpose is if he is not the team's "heavy" etc etc

Favorite moment: WHAT TO PICK AHH SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM!! It broke my heart, but his fight with Hardshell?? That whole episode gave me a lot of emotions for Bulkhead's past that I craved more of.

Idea for a story: I'd love a pre-tfp fic of his time in the wreckers. Maybe him meeting Wheeljack for the first time? Watching him form a family within them. I think it could be very good. There's also an element of sadness by writing something where he learns to become harder, protect himself and others more but losing that lightness a little bit? Especially with how things go and he finds that lightness again with his relationship with Miko.

Unpopular opinion: (me asking what unpopular opinions are is going to get really redundant buttttt) WHAT ARE THE UNPOPULAR OPINIONS??? I don't know, I'm shooting in the dark here and just complaining about what I think a mistake in the show is, BUT I think they very much mishandled the ending concerning Miko and his relationship. I think we deserved a conversation at the very least.

Favorite relationship: romantically, I adore him and Wheeljack. Their interactions with each other feel so intimate and sweet that I cannot see them as anything other than romantic. Platonically, I adore Miko and Bulkhead's relationship so much. I think is the most well-defined one out of all the kids in the show. Also, honorable mention, I want more with his history with Breakdown. There is so much implied there that I have a deep craving to see how these two know each other, where their rivalry stems from, etc etc (I personally love the idea that they may have been friends at some point).

Favorite headcanon: hmmmmm post-tfp, Bulkhead becomes softer, sweeter. Uncle energy. He keeps contact with the kids and sends them gifts. He visits and takes Miko out for some off roading. He gets ooey-gooey with Wheeljack. He takes Smokescreen under his wing and teases him ruthlessly, but lovingly. He expresses grief and regret for his violent past. (self indulgently; he tries to make amends with Knock Out for his rivalry with Breakdown- its often left without resolution). ya. yayayayyaya.

Well wishes on the no gallbladder, I hope you heal up quick

So my thing with Ultra Magnus/Smokescreen is that I’m also shipping them both with Wheeljack and Bulkhead, just in a way they’re all kind of sluts in a friendly way (they all survived a huge civil war, they’re processing life in a weird way) I also think it’d be fun if Knockout and a somehow alive Breakdown was involved with them. Smokescreens like always a bottom tho, there’s just something about him, he’d be down to absolutely wrecked by the wreckers.

Quick au this can all be attached to, there’s been a handful of posts and fics where TFP Smokescreens a bit more like other incarnations of Smokescreen, and I mostly just think the potential of Smokescreen being involved in covert ops or crime before being a guardsman would be hot and add depth. Maybe he’s kinda gone back to covert ops when it’s important after the war. Maybe he goes rogue. Maybe Ultra Magnus and Ratchet know what he’s up to, they’re at least the most likely to know what he’s doing. Maybe Devcon shows up and he and Smokescreen have a thing going on. Smokescreens my favorite, this shits about him.

Proposal: Smokescreen does something badass and Wheeljack thinks it’s hot. Rookie knows how to parkour and knife fight, how could Wheeljack not fuck him. (There’s potential for emotions to be felt but also they’re freaks they get rough with it)

And, I don’t know about you but I like Humanformers a lot, I think mostly because it’s easier for me to think out in my head, but I think humanformers Smokescreen is covered in a worrying amount of scars. And freckles.

So Hero is basically the foster kid of Smokescreen in my Tower AU. She is a clone of multiple talented fighters however the head of the research thought she was a failure (she wasn't obedient) so she was thrown in the dumpster at a young age. She is really grateful for Smokescreen and that he puts up with her everyday and loves her unconditionally.

Smokescreen: So you are my daughter in another universe.

Hero: Yap. I don't know what have you done to deserve this cruel fate either.

Looks:

She is rather tall and she has a masculine looking body type (she is often mistaken as a mech). She has a white and orange paint job and her alt mode is a Lamborghini. She has a scar on her intake and she has a gap between her denta on the right side of her face. She carries a long blade and a slightly shorter blade. Hero has bombs disguised as smoke bombs and smoke bombs disguised as bombs. She doesn't have blasters instead she has a crossbow on her wrist that fires needles that cause drowsiness and dizziness. She has a spare blade in her heels if everything goes south (for the record she doesn't have high heels. No one can fight in that scrap.)

Arcee: The Smokescreen in your universe let's you fight deceptions?!?

Personality:

Fun loving, own critiquing bastard. Would and did spit into her enemy's face. If she is ever serious about something it's about family and teammates. Hard to piss off but if you manage to you will soon meet a hellbent sword master. She is really childish and has trouble paying attention. The master of wit and one liners. She has a habit of mimicking Smokescreen and his habits (she also does that with her uncles.) Her biggest fears are being alone, losing her loved ones, not living up to her carrier's expectations (Smokescreen doesn't have any tho).

For those of you confused, Megatron(tfp) isn't chaotic, he's a madlad. He understands societal convention just fine and chooses to subvert it. This does occasionally cause chaos but isn't actually truely chaotic energy. He will absolutely commit to the bit when challenged.

(Note this is not about dnd chaotic, that's different.)

The type of guy who would write his report on plagiarism about how his proffessor failed to give credit to coworkers/assistants and took their ideas.

Also the type of guy who would lie about not peeling oranges before eating them, all because someone made fun of him peeling one with his teeth, get sick from doing so, not see that person for three years, remember the interaction when he saw the person, and do the exact same thing.

Optimus is not chaotic. He's feral. Man doesn't know what the hell applause is. Claps once at the end because everyone else was clapping (Canon rescue bots). He may be partially domesticated but doesn't fully understand basic societal rules.

The type of guy who you'd give an orange to and he'd just say thank you and put it on his shelf because he doesn't know what to do with it. Once you told him it was a fruit he'd be like oh, and bite into it like an apple.

If not immediately corrected just thinks that's the way to eat them. Will politely inform you "Yes. I am enjoying it," because he understands that is polite. Will one day comment about "oranges are really bitter for a fruit. Are they like tomatoes?" And absolutely horrify someone who tries to give him an extra sweet orange. There's a 50/50 chance he instead finds this out by trying to substitute oranges with tomatoes when making pizza sauce and scarring people for life.

Optimus would be asked to go fishing and having only seen bears fishing on tv would try to do that. He would also somehow manage to catch one. Someone: "How did you do that, I haven't even gotten out the poles yet." OP about to give this person a stroke: "poles?"

The occasional brush with being feral is Op's best trait. If you disagree you are wrong.

Now both of these are on the chaotic spectrum, however, what both lack is majorly the "whim" factor. They may have had it once but lack it now. You will not see Optimus go completely unhinged and run after cars on all fours. Megatron will not spontaneously decide to fuck with someone and wear so much glitter he looks like a disco ball only when say, Steve, has the night shift.

This form of chaotic is best displayed by someone walking towards the elevator and noticing the open air balcony right beside it and jumping off that to get down. Your mileage may vary on who is the best example (Rodimus or Smokescreen perhaps?) but whoever it is will still be on one side of the unintentional vs intentional and madlad vs feral chaotic energy.

Optimus is unintentional feral, Megatron is intentional madlad.

Starscream (if you're wondering) is an unintentional madlad. He is the type of person who will sit beside someone start telling them all about his buck wild day, turn to them in the middle of it, "wait, who are you?" Then decide he doesn't care. "Oh, nevermind. So as I was..."

I'm not sure who I would label as intentionally feral, but it would have to be someone who decides the best response to someone saying something they didn't like is to bark at them. Soundwave might I suppose, but he would bounce too close to madlad behaviour. Tentatively I suppose Shockwave would think laying down and staring at the ceiling because he heard surprising news is a reasonable thing to do. But he also explains exactly every horrifying thing he plans on doing to someone because he thinks it will scare them less, which makes him run too close to unintentional feral behaviour.

Now the final sphere is unhinged behaviour.

This is the type of person who when told they have big eyebrows will film themselves shaving them off. The type of person who when you post something they don't like will come to your house and use your pc to delete it. Someone who pays in coins but tips in bills; not a large tip or anything. Just standard. They only have cups in their house, no bowls or plates, they like cups better.

I mean... sure but why? How are these things related?

The most chaos thing to be aligned with but to be truly chaotic is to bounce between all of them.

Smokescreen

He's so smitten with his crush that his view on you is actually a bit skewed and biased. He thinks you're one of the best people in the world and he'd enjoy hanging around you whenever he gets the chance.

He's so eager to prove himself to you that he rushes head-first into things at times to try and impress you. He stumbles here and there at first, but when he gains his footing and calms down a little more, he pulls off rather impressive feats to try and catch your attention and your praise. Now of course he doesn't want to seem too desperate or anything that would make him seem unappealing to you, so of course he tries to play it carefully and make it seem like he isn't trying too hard to vie for your attention... It's a fine line, and he's not too sure how to try and reach that perfect "middle zone".

Smokescreen's typically the kind of person to take initiative, sure, but when it comes to you he's at a complete loss on where in your relationship he should go ahead and ask you out on a date, and he agonizes over these things for days on end. Whenever he looks back on times you've spent together in the past, he'll sometimes mutter to himself all about how "that was the perfect moment! Why didn't I take it?!" and "ugh... I should've confessed to them then..."

When he thinks he's mustered the courage to, he tries to do it at the pinnacle of an impromptu "date" when you're both having the times of your lives. But even then, it's hard for him to even begin saying anything, and he doubts whether he should be mentioning it at this time specifically, but he's gotten this far... so... he should do it! He should take this chance while he still can!

Wheeljack

He thinks you're cool in his eyes, regardless of whether you are or aren't. He has a tendency to treat you like a partner in crime of sorts. He'll take you out to go do something fun, but it's also probably something dangerous. But if that isn't your cup of tea, then he'd settle for just sticking around you and talking.

While he's pining for you, he doesn't actually treat you all that differently, nor does he act too differently either. He's still pretty chill and casual around you, and the only difference is that he wants to hang out with you more. As a result it's not too clear that he like-likes you. And if you're sorta the same, then your relationship will take quite some time to progress since he's trying to guess if he has any sort of chance with you, but he can't find any signs.

He's not afraid to pop the question... Well... Maybe he's a bit afraid... But he's willing to take whatever answer you give him, no matter how bad it is. So he finally bursts the bubble one day. It's not during any special moment the two of you are spending together, or anything like that. It's just on a normal day while you're both hanging out. He drops it so casually that it sounds like he isn't nervous in the slightest, but if you were to listen more carefully to the way he says it, and pay more attention to the look on his face and the glint in his eyes, or the way he's wringing his hands... He's nervous.

He gets what it's like to long for the way things were, and he's worried that if you don't feel the same way, he'll be left wishing for that same old feeling of friendship between the two of you. But much to his relief, you feel the exact same way, so he doesn't worry about that for long.

There was something so strange about you. The good kind of strange. Predaking didn't see many humans, but he could tell my the fact that you were always alone that you didn't exactly fit in that much. And aren't humans supposed to be sociable creatures? You were very social to him at the very least. Every flight out he always found you in the same place; the deepest nook of a pine forest at a small cabin. He had arrived at your home, but you and your truck were nowhere to be seen. He gladly took to hiding in the brush, hoping to give you a small startle when you came back. What he had not anticipated, was the sound of 3 engines approaching. ~~~~~~~~~ I was just finishing packing my groceries for the week into the back of my vehicle, clicking my seatbelt in place while the truck started up. It was boiling inside due to the naturally bright and aggressive sun that loomed over the sky, so I happily let all the windows down to let the rushing air in. It was a pretty long drive to home, but this was the nearest town to me so it was that or nothing. I pulled off the paved road onto a long winding gravel one, and soon another turn onto a barely existent dirt path. Most of the drive was just back roads and it got pretty bori- BEEP BEEP I nearly jumped out of my seat when two cars came racing past me on each side, blowing dust into my windows, I reluctantly pulled over, coughing all the dirt that just flew into my mouth. "What the hell?!" I yelled out, wasting as the dust settled. A yellow and black Urbana 500 and...A yellow and blue Lotus Exige. It was just Bee and Smokescreen, I mean of course it was! Who else would be out here. It was pretty close to their base anyways. I watched as they transformed, cocking my hip to the right. "Sorry y/n!" Smokescreen smacked bee's shoulder lightly, "We just wanted to see you. Didn't expect you to have your windows down." "On a hot day like this? My air conditioner is broken, so I didn't have a choice." You explained, walking back over to the trick and opening the door. "Wait! Can we come with you? I am just dying sitting around in base today." He was back to pleading once more, and I couldn't help but sigh in defeat when Bee vocalized contently. Next thing I knew, I was racing down the roads as the other two swerved around, chasing one another and having their fun. It only took another hour to get home, and by then the ground had gone from sand to coarse dirt and looming pines. Slowing our speed, we managed to pull up to my cabin, and I propped the tailgate open to retrieve my purchases. The other two finally arrived, each revving up behind me. From the trees across from the river in front of my cabin, I could have sworn I saw something yellow whizz by. "You okay, y/n?" I shook my head, turning to the other two while the dots all connected. I couldn't let them find out he was here! And vice versa. "Yeah! Uh- You guys can go ahead home now, I'm sure the others are worried about you!" "But we just-" "You asked for a ride, not to hang out, now shoo!" You ushered them, and Bee was the first to leave, reluctantly followed by Smokescreen. 'Thank goodness' I sighed, picking up my groceries again. Had they put up a fight it might not of ended too great. A thundering stomp shook me, causing me to stumble back. A huff of hair then blew all my hair back with a rush. Someone didn't seem all too happy. ROOOAAAAAAAAAAR ~~~~~~~~~ Setting down in my usual place on a log, I let myself relax from all that grocery carrying and judgmental stares from a whole ass dragon. There was an unbroken tension that sat in the air. "Predaking, I-" "You are with the enemy!" Sigh. He was more upset than I had originally anticipated, and it burned me to think that I had hurt him. The fire I made was roaring to life, illuminating me and parts of the large predacon as the sun slowly dissipated. I wasn't sure how to explain myself, I knew he wouldn't hurt me but.. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to protect you." it sounded stupid, I mean he could handle anything, "I thought that

if I could befriend them, they could meet you one day and we could save you from the 'cons." "Y/n," he had long since transformed into his mech form, and he plucked me up into his servo's, "They still have the others, I could not abandon my own kind." 'I know'

I wanted to say, but I knew I wouldn't fully understand. His yellow optics stared at me intently, and I eventually lowered my head in defeat. He eventually lowered me back down, and I listened carefully to my record player playing from the open window as the next song came on. "I'll figure it out, my dear." His voice was low now, and I couldn't help but lean onto his side for comfort. I wished there was more we could do. As the war went on between the two sides, the less I got to see him. It was hard to enjoy the peace when it was overshadowed by so many of my troubles. His servo slowly rubbed my back in a comforting manor, all the while I traced small nothings along his plating. " I love you, 'King" I whispered, staring into the mesmerizing flame before us both. "I love you too." His voice had changed plenty from when he last spoke, and it seemed you were both over such a busy day. It was about time he went home, but I didn't want him to go. He nuzzled into me for the last time of the night, walking towards the rivers clearing where he could safely transform. He looked back once, and I couldn't help but smile and wave. The gust of wind as he took off put out the fire in an instant, and the whole forest shuttered. I couldn't wait to see him again.

Transformers: Harbingers

The Pirate Scream AU

Before I talk about it you guys are the best thank you for indulging me and my AU from this post xjdjd. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I plan to do art for it as well as accompanying written bits and maybe even an animatic but till then have some general info under the cut.

Also there is transformers: Prime spoilers below so open at your own risk.

TRANSFORMERS: HARBINGERS

So this AU comes from the same place many AUs heavily involving TfP Starscream come from: the unfulfilled potential in our boy Scream. Now deeper discussion of that is not gonna be in this post. It'd be a whole essay.

It also comes from just how salty I was that the Team's kindness never really benefitted them much and they kept getting slapped for it. And OP really wanted to win over a con and Starscream kept wanting a partner. ALSO ALSO Optimus was portrayed as keeping his emotions in check and then never really gets a message that it's okay to be emotional so... I'm doing that here.

And the Starscream Pirate AU was born...

Aka Transformers: Harbingers (maybe idk if it's catchy enough djjsw)

Why Harbingers? ''It's just a SHIP Starscream chills in for awhile in the show' ' I hear you say. WELL HANG ON!! I got two very good reasons!! .

First off: Starscream, with the help of some Cybertronians who he wins over one way or another (Ill get to that), help him essentially use the remains of the Harbinger to put together their own functional ship. It's smaller than the Nemesis and will take some pirate ship inspiration. While it is a hardy beast it's a bit jury rigged.

Second of all:

Imagine being a fictional character living in a ship with a name that basically means 'Foreshadowed bringer of change' and then going back to Megatron and his bullshit. I'm gonna grab this and run all the way with it. Highway to Hell just came on my Spotify so... That may be an omen.

NOW LISTEN

I feel like Starscream and Optimus could really have had such an interesting dynamic but we never really got to see that in TfP and I feel cheated. Also both could have mutually benefitted a great deal.

So what do I do? I shove them together to be sorta begrudging Co-Captains. As a result there's a lot of shenanigans to be had!

How this happens OP has some run ins with cons and, through a way I'm still deciding, has the opportunity to extend a hand to Starscream. Starscream, being kindness starved, doesn't entirely know what to do about Optimus being nice to him one whole time with no sarcasm or ulterior motive and sorta starts trying to get his attention.

Starscream and his crew are a bit of their own team at this point. MEANING sort of new LOGOS!

I'm yoinking the crossed out Decepticon logo from the Dark Energon Starscream and Dark Energon Knockout toys cause I mean... It's right there and also kinda like a skull and crossbones. It fits too well guys.

Starscream essentially manages to win over the autobots enough so they can sorta make a mutually beneficial, if strained, alliance to aid their aligned goal: killing Megatron and revitalizing cyberton. This is aided by some slight changes to the plot of course. It's also a benefit, much to Ratchet's delight, since they finally get some cybertronian tech to work with.

And so they gotta work together to take Megatron out and there's much bonding moments esp later when the autobot base is destroyed. Starscream extends his hand to them and offers them a more permanent position onboard. (rubbing in how unfortunate their situation is and how this is such a big favour but he's paying Optimus back.)

And insert team dynamic stuff!! Like cons teaming up with Bots, Starscream and Optimus trying to stick with it leading their own teams but keep accidently backseat-leadering one another. I will write some other ex-con and bot dynamics cause there's a lot of chaos to be had.

Optimus doesn't open up to his crew for morale sake and masks his emotions well, and Starscream is... well Starscream is Starscream so he masks what he truly feels a lot and doesn't share a lot of personal stuff besides complaints with his team either. So there's a lot of tension.... That is until Starscream has had it at just how good a poker face Prime has.

Because he's absolutely paranoid got a harmless curiosity about Optimus's ulterior motives and wants potential dirty secrets he can use as blackmail to have power over the Prime, he essentially puts cybertronian booze (but kid friendly version of course fbejek) in Optimus's energon heavily expecting him to spill the beans when heavily drunk. What he doesn't expect is that Optimus is just... LIKE THAT to his core. He's smart but very sad and guilty. And maybe a bit weepy and exhausted cause this man has not shown an emotion for eons now. /s. Starscream doesn't know wtf to do but swayed by how earnest Optimus is he sorta softens up and does open up. Might have helped that he took a swig of the tainted energon to get on his level though. But it also helps that neither is the others subordinate so they don't need to maintain their image as badly with the Co-captain as they do their team.

The ex cons sorta accidently absorb some of the autobot's morals over time. The cons help the autobots have some fun. There's a lot of stuff learned both ways. Also the cons realize how cool humans can be and after a lot of argument and forced time spent with the kids, they want to protect earth too.

Starscream, helps Optimus open up a bit more and allow himself to be emotional. He also shows him how to be a little selfish. Optimus in turn helps him with self confidence and making friends. Both help each other with the shit Megatron put em both through and overall boost one another up. (This also does change the start of the war a bit but I'll get to that in another post.)

Miko tries to fight all of the cons at first but quickly changes her tune cause "BOOYAH PIRATE CONS!!"

Other bits about this AU:

Starscream will eventually get a slight design change. It'll be less scrappy and look more confident and put together. It'll be minor

Because they are on a flying ship but have less energon than the Nemesis, everyone gets equipped with mods for flight. There is a jetpack upgrade one can get or Knockout can straight up help change their alt mode surgically.

I'm working up a list of who gets what flight mod but... Ya'll should know that Wheeljack dares Knockout to make him into a flying car. Largely cause I just got the image of Wheeljack flying above vehicons and just turning into a car and dropping on them. That and driving up the side of the Nemesis and confusing the fuck out of Megatron. Out of all the characters you know that would be a Wheeljack thing.

Arcee and Knockout grieve together.

Knockout loves bugging the hell out of Ratchet. It's extra fun for him cause Ratchet often can't do shit about it since they both need the room and tools.

Knockout and Wheeljack become an insufferable duo with the nicknames they have for everyone.

Wheeljack won't leave Starscream alone and keeps coming up with worse and worse nicknames like he did with Ratchet.

Starscream and Ratchet become complaining buddies.

STARSCREAM'S SEEKER SQUAD REJOINS. Well some of them. Skywarp, Thundercracker and maybe other peeps.

Miko manages to befriend Skywarp and Bulkhead now has to watch both Miko AND Skywarp. Wheeljack refuses to help Bulkhead round them up.

Instead of Beeftimus Prime from the forge, Optimus actually gets access to a third alt mode and.. Idk something else primely. So he actually gets wings.

Starscream and the other fliers are greatly amused because Optimus, as great as he is at his poker face most of the time, hasn't yet figured out how to not emote with the pair of wings he gets from the forge. Thundercracker is the one who eventually informs him while the rest of the crew are booing loudly in the background.

I actually do have designs of TFP Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Ironhide in the works.

Fowler and Starscream have insult battles. Oddly both grow a weird almost fondness for these verbal sparring sessions

They frequently raid the Nemesis

(Series) Clingy~ TFP! Orion Pax x Human! Reader

Plot: Since Optimus Prime is Orion Pax to have a break from being a leader, Y/N is surprised by how Orion is more clingy than Optimus.

Everyone decided, including the kids, that Optimus Prime needs a break from being a leader. Ultra Magnus decided to take Optimus' place over until his break is over. He is the commander after all of the Autobots. Wheeljack doesn't like the idea at all. He isn't fond of Ultra Magnus. He's just way too much strict and demands to be called 'Sir' as well. Jeez, take a chill pill, Magnus.

Y/N and Optimus are a couple for almost a year now so they're glued to each other. Wherever you are, they're there together, either hugging, kissing, holding hands, cuddling, and even making-out. Ratchet even caught them once and this is what he said: "Get a fragging room! I'm not prepared to be a grandsire or uncle yet!"

That embarrassed Optimus and Y/N a lot. Sure, they do want a family one day, but only when the war is over one day. Ratchet is old after all so that's why he said 'grandsire'. It literally means grandpa in human language. The grumpy medic can also play a role as an uncle since he's Optimus' best friend. An old best friend since Cybertron. Miko sometimes teases Y/N.

Ratchet build a special machine gun, a safe one. He'll use it to transform Optimus back to Orion Pax. He can use it of course to bring Optimus Prime back but only when he and others feel like the break is over.

Y/N honestly got excited at the thought that she'll spend with Orion Pax instead of Optimus Prime. He did tell her stories about who he was back then before being a Prime, where he worked, and other fun stuff. She's excited to see Orion. She heard stories that he was a cute, shy, and quiet data clerk at the time. He worked once at the Hall of Records.

Everyone gathered around, including Agent Fowler and June Darby. Optimus left a small kiss on Y/N's forehead, causing her to smile shyly.

"Let's begin. Optimus, please stand in the middle," Ratchet instructed as he held the gun machine.

Optimus did as told while Ratchet explained to him what will happen. It will luckily not hurt but it will tickle. Also, the Matrix of Leadership will be activated offline while it will stay inside of him. It's in fact guarding his spark.

"Understood, old friend. Let's start."

Ratchet then aimed at him and shot. Greenlight surrounded Optimus and it did tickle. He felt then transformed. It took 10 seconds and then it is done. Everyone uncovered their eyes and optics since it is bright light after all, very disturbing for the eyes. Wear sunglasses next time.

Y/N gasped when she saw Orion Pax instead of Optimus Prime. He looks so cute! Instead of having a very well build strong frame, he looks adorable! Look at his shoulderplates for example!

The humans, including Y/N, stared with amazement while the Bots smiled. Ratchet chuckled. "Humans, meet Orion Pax. He's Optimus Prime."

Later~

Everyone is busy with their jobs and they let Orion and Y/N be. Orion is so much different than Optimus! Both of them look so innocent, yes, but Orion looks more innocent! The clerk gave non-stop kisses and cuddles. When he found out that he has a bipedal holofom, this is what he did:

"Y-Y/N?"

"Yes, Ori?"

"Can we please cuddle and kiss?"

Y/N giggled at how precious Orion is, causing his cheekplate to flush blue. She wrapped her arms around his neck cables. "Yes, Orion. We can cuddle and kiss whenever you want."

Orion couldn't help but smile like a doofus and picked her up bridal style, causing her to yelp playfully. When they were in bed, Orion cuddled her for HOURS! He even stole a lof kisses and asked questions. He even once asked about were human babies come from. That flustered Y/N a lot.

"Why are you so cute, Y/N?"

Y/N blushed. "I... I don't know."

"How did I get so lucky to have you?"

Y/N couldn't help but giggle, causing the clerk to smile. "You're so adorable." He then left soft kisses and rubs her back. Y/N couldn't help but sigh in a bliss. She rubs his help, causing him to purr.

Later~

Later that day, Orion got called to help something quick with Ratchet and Y/N went to walk around in the base garage. Ever since the first base got destroyed by the Decepticons, Agent Fowler luckily found a new one to use. Optimus got seriously injured and he kinda died but Smokescreen brought him back by Ultra Magnus' hammer. Optimus Prime transformed into 2.0. How cool is that?

Y/N just entered the main room until she felt someone cling into her, causing the human girl to stop in her tracks. She looks over her shoulder and saw Orion clinging to her from behind. He also nuzzled non-stop into her.

Y/N giggled while blushing. "What are you doing?"

"I will not let you go. I want to be with you forever," Orion said in a cute tone while blushing a lot.

Everyone smiled and laughed, even Ratchet and Ultra Magnus. They just found it funny how Orion is clinging to Y/N for dear life!

"Can we please cuddle, Y/N?" Orion asked.

"Oh, boy... Sure, Orion!"

Y/N walked back to their berthroom, with Orion not letting her go at all.
