I rewatched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and it will never not be funny to me how Wheelie instantly responded to Mikaela talking to him in a soft, sweet voice.

In the movie Bumblebee, Bee also seemed to respond very well to Charlie talking to him in a very gentle tone.

WHICH HAS GIVEN ME THE HEADCANON that Cybertronians actually LOVE when humans talk to them like this. Maybe something about it just sounds nice to their audio receptors and so it drives them to respond to it in a more affectionate way.

I've noticed that some people making car content on the internet have stopped saying "tranny" as short for transmission, and using "trans" instead. Not sure if that's because of self-censorship to avoid demonetization on youtube, or if its because they actually don't want to say a slur anymore, but all I do know is it can end with some pretty funny results:
