🌱 SEEDLING - what is their most vivid memory from childhood?

Wario - When Waluigi was born, though he’ll never ever admit it. He swears if he was even remotely artistically competent, he’d be able to paint a picture of what the room looked like, where their parents were, and how it looked when he got to hold Waluigi for the first time. It’s so well stamped into his mind that he recalls it on days he’s really stressed out. As a reminder for why he keeps working so hard.

Waluigi - The first ‘invention’ he and Wario made. He barely spoke at the time as Wario knew what Waluigi needed, so he never had to ask for anything. But working on making a prototype for their ‘Chores Robot’ (so the worry of keeping the house clean wasn’t such a burden), it was the first time that Waluigi took over. Telling Wario what he needed and what part needed to go where. Even if it didn’t work (seriously, why the heck did they think sticks and rocks would be good materials?) Waluigi was still thrilled by the idea of building. 

Mario - It was a conversation between him and his father. Learning about how sick Luigi was and how scary it could be. But also talking about what they could do, together, to keep the younger twin safe. It was the first promise Mario made to anyone. A promise to his parents, said to his father, that he would keep Luigi safe and well, no matter what. Because he loves Luigi, and he wouldn’t let anything keep them apart if he could help it.

Luigi - When he was able to go outside for the first time. While the twins were a little older at this point, Luigi’s early early memories consisted of white walls and doctors. This was the first solid memory he had. He remembered it was nearing the end of Spring, if not already in Summer, when he saw something outside the window that he really wanted to see. He was well enough to leave the house, but still fearful, until Mario agreed to take him outside. While he could only reach the edge of the patio, he was still able to get a better look at the flowers that interested him. Mario told him they were looking at roses. Those are his favorite flower to this day.

☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon

Wario - He loves to hear Waluigi snoring. It lets him know that his brother’s still there. He wouldn’t listen to it on end, but it’s a comforting reminder.

Waluigi - He started to learn how to cook so it was one less burden Wario and his mother had to deal with. But he says it's because no one in the family besides himself knows what spices work together.

Mario - He’s very shy about it, but he loves to sing. Mainly to Luigi with a lullaby from their childhood, on days when they're feeling nostalgic and missing their parents. But…if asked…he wouldn’t say ‘no’ if Peach asked to hear him. 

Luigi - He took up baking as a way to stay close to their mom, as well as to learn how to embrace every second given to him. Because nothing lets you think about life like waiting for cake to rise.

I'm working on LOTR ocs now, they're all pretty old and in need of updates since I've changed so much since I created them !!

The one I'm updating rn is my very first LOTR oc !! Originally they were a fem elf , in love with Legolas... Tbh a very basic oc for LOTR I made when I was like 13

But !!! I'm making him ftm and instead of Legolas, they eventually date Haldir :3

He was an elvish archer alongside Haldir but one time on patrol he ends up encountering something strange and gets possessed😧 he didn't wanna go back in fear of Haldir finding him disgusting or assuming he's a monster and trying to kill him, so he lingers in the forest, close enough to still keep an eye on the people of Lothlorien (and his beloved Haldir)

Healed girl Summer || Challenge 🌱🪴🌺✨

I wanted to dedicate my summer to further benefitting myself, improving myself and healing past traumas/bad self concept that never had a place in my life. I want to create a challenge for others who want to do the same for themselves in the last two months of summer and truly become the best version of themselves without validation being a factor

Anyway here are the rules of the challenge!

1- Create a vision board/ Pinterest board of you goals you want to achieve this summer. Or a 5 subliminal playlist! (don’t overwhelm yourself pls)

2-✿silence all forms of social media (yes this means Tumblr too. Stop snapping that boy you keeps streaks with bc you think he’s cute it’s not going any further than that!) block twitter from your phone, disable your Instagram for a week, just take some time off to truly reset even if it’s for one day.

3-✿treat your body like a temple :

-try to eat healthier, cut out excess sugar, overly starchy foods at incorporate more vegetables and fruits into your daily diet. Ofc you can still treat yourself to snacks and sweets every once in a while but it’s all about moderation! Drink more water, I recommend ‘Plant Nanny’ a really cute hydration tracking app to keep track of your daily water intake! How can you do expect to get glass skin subliminal results without behaving like a girly with clear skin? If possible, go to the gym twice a week! If not then walk every other day, 10,000 steps a day is commonly advised but do what fits best for you!!

SLEEP ON TIME!! I cannot stress this enough, sleeping is essential for repairing the cells in your skin, revitalizes your skin, reduces stress and improves your mood and so many more benefits!

4-✿ Keep your space clean/clear!!

I know not everyone can do this so there’s no immediate emphasis on this rule,

Pluto love <33 I’m doing … okay … OKAY TW TO ALL YA’LL WHO FOLLOW MEEE // incoming trauma dump: I struggle with depression, anxiety, ocd, cptsd, a highly emotionally + verbally abusive mother, a conflict loaded toxic family who picks on me specifically, isolation and loneliness, etc. And I used to believe I was the problem and that I was god-awful and didn’t deserve to live (lol) until my therapist helped me see that I was a good person in a really … toxic family. I’ve had these disabilities/hardships for years :’( Despite that, I’m still here :)

💚 And I’m still kind— in fact, my hardships and difficult life has made me mega compassionate, thoughtful, & understanding! The wars I’ve been through have made me super soft and caring towards everyone and anyone who is a good person going through a hard time— and I care about hurt people who hurt people, too. I know they can’t help being nasty if they’re so deeply warped and traumatized (Aka my mom). All my friends from high school say that they’re always amazed and my warmth and kindness in spite of all the hurt I’ve been through <3 (but my friends are in different states from me though, because we all go to different colleges… so it’s been soooo so lonely without them)

I am doing my best to get better. I have a really wonderful therapist who helps me :) life isn’t easy. It’s been really uneasy and dreary and sad actually 😭 but it’s up to me to make it better, and I’m going to be okay some day. <3 I’ve also made a friend irl who seems to truly care about me, I’m still getting to know them & vice versaaa. But they’re leaving my state at the end of the month too so 😭

Mother Nature? That's my girl! 🌱💗 (U1)

Hey everyone! so having started this nature blog and all, I thought I’d introduce you to a good friend of mine but I’m realizing you might actually already know her? You see, Mother Nature’s friends with pretty much everyone but it’s easy to forget you’re not her only one, cause she often has a way of showing you things that feel like they were created just for you.

For as long as I can remember, my relationship with nature has been my prized possession. Having spent each summer as a child on the beaches of Lake Erie swimming, adding to my shell or rock collections, and often rescuing baby birds and other critters who fell victim to the changing seasons, I always felt like being outside was simply put; fulfilling.

As I grew older, I found myself spending more and more time deliberately looking to nature for entertainment, distractions, and peace- whether it was for a forest walk to look for fauna when I’d be feeling down, or randomly researching new animals or plants I’d previously heard of when I would get bored, nature always had a place for me, my emotions, and interests. Around the transition from elementary school to high school (and likely a consequence of hearing about the horrors of climate change for the first time), I decided I wanted to protect nature. Not yet knowing in what way, but for the first time understanding not everyone shares my sentiment of holding nature in the highest regard.

Now bare with me cause this is one silly story but spoiler! I’m in fourth year zoology and I’ll tell you what, or better yet who, helped me get here. On an anthropology trip to a zoo in 10th grade, I had an assignment involving watching a primate and so I walked into the Gorilla enclosure (because who doesn’t want to be even remotely like Jane Goodall?). Oddly enough there was no one else in there. After almost leaving before making eye contact with a lone gorilla in the enclosure, I went up to the glass and smiled, hoping to somehow translate my appreciation for the opportunity to see him. I’m honestly not sure what I expected but his response? Walking right up to the glass and taking a seat 2 feet away from me, staring at me with what I could only describe as sad eyes. At that point another classmate came in, jokingly saying “oh cool, he’s watching you too” and in that moment which I really didn’t see coming, I just started bawling my eyes out.  Funny enough the gorilla walked away as if he did his job in sharing the sadness, but I think in that moment I just felt so sorry for the ape. We'd spent so much time in other classes learning about deforestation, global warming, etc. etc. and so it was sort of like one of those movie flashback scenes except it was like the life I thought that gorilla should have had. To this day, I still interpret that hour as my eureka moment, where I was told by an intense-eyed gorilla that animal conservation is what I’m meant to do.

Since then, I’ve had the dream of opening an animal sanctuary. To help me one day get there, I've worked at exotic animal outreach programs, was a zookeeper, participated in local conservation efforts in both Toronto and Guelph, and have even been to Madagascar this past summer to practice lemur conservation research. (I also have a ton of lovely pets to share with you but that's for another time!) At this point, it really feels like the passion could only ever grow. It’s my hope that with this blog though, I’ll be broadening my definition of nature to not just immediately go to animals so stay tuned! And go …
