I usually don't comment on stuff like this, because I don't make a habit of pissing on people's parades, but some of the recent things people are using as "proof" (of bbg ending, of Larry communicating with us, etc) are really wild stretches.
And, I usually wouldn't let it bother me; I understand that people (especially newer larries) are just having fun. But, as someone who's been here for a long time and who was part of the fandom when "proof" really meant concrete, vetted, and consistent evidence, I think people are unaware of how creating, spreading, and encouraging these unsubstantiated stretches and theories only support the extremely damaging stereotype that larries are unhinged and that we can (and will) make a connection out of anything, if it suits our narrative. (Which is, literally, what hets and shippers do, so yeah, forgive me if I don't want to be lumped in with that crowd.)
When we talk about Larry signaling (through clothing, warnings, selfies, the bears, etc), I think it's really, really important to remember the context in which those things happened.
They were both banging on the glass closet and seemingly seeding a potential coming out. They were at the height of their 'enemies' narrative and banned from being seen interacting, even while they were living out of each other's pockets. They were restricted by extremely abusive public identities (homophobe and serial womanizer) and contract clauses. They were making music and money for oppressive management and labels, none of which was directly contributing to or even hinting at potential personal career growth outside One Direction. They were signaling not only because it's all they had in terms of connecting with their community, but as an act of extreme rebellion and as a means of winning over even an inch of personal freedom and self-expression. (Remember, Niall wasn't even allowed to keep his natural hair color.)
And, while yes, Harry and Louis are still heavily closeted and being made to participate in (especially in Louis' case) extremely vile and abusive stunts, the context, in terms of their need to be seen (whether it be as their own people, queer people, or as a couple), has actually changed. In terms of self-expression, they're both making music that resonates with their creative identities, that they have some level of control over, and that contribute to them, personally, as individual artists. This means they actually have a personal stake in whether or not their projects do well because its a direct indicator of whether they get to continue making music that they love. Taking that into consideration, its unlikely that they want to overshadow the soul of those projects by slipping in all these little clues about their relationship into their promo. They’ve also (thanks mostly to the fans) found other ways of connecting to the queer community (which is an entirely different objective from wanting people to know about their relationship, specifically.)
To be really honest, I think they’ve actually made a collective decision to work harder to protect the privacy of their relationship, even behind the scenes, for many reasons. (Harris Reed’s recent interview, where he mentioned not really knowing Harry all that well, but alluded to leaving space for his queerness is what swayed me the most.) Being older, and having a lot more at stake (personally and professionally), makes me think they’re now (maybe in the last four or so years) very, very selective about who they share this part of their life with, one, because they each have a lot more to lose now if they’re outed, but also because their relationship is their top priority, and as Harry has said (and no doubt learned), a relationship has never benefitted from being made public (and we have to remember that even “within the confines of the industry” is still very, very “public”).
But, I digress. My point is, they've been together for twelve years, they've written hundreds upon hundreds of love songs to each other, they have their love story tattooed all over their skin. I get if you, individually, need to read into every little clue to prove to yourself they're still together, but don’t confuse that with them needing us to know it.
Again, I'm not saying this to piss on anyone's parade. I love a Larry proof to death and god knows I believe in the real ones with my whole chest (Still the One still gives me chills, Princess Park is fucking perfection, ‘waiting to wrap your legs around me' and ‘tired eyes are the death of me’ are tattooed on my heart). What I'm saying is people need to take context into consideration to keep from devaluing and trivializing actual, solid, vetted Larry proof and signaling because the only people and reputations these stretches and theories are hurting are Larries’.
Anon, if I wasn’t already married, I would marry you. THANK YOU.

Who am I? Seokjin & Grace
Tumblr media
ARMY’s had taken to Twitter the moment the FESTA 2022 video had been posted, all panicking at the word ‘hiatus’ in the subtitles. The HYBE stocks had taken a hard knock at the news, though they picked back up at Jungkook’s V-LIVE that was posted a day or two afterwards. However, the one thing that ARMY had noticed that their usually easygoing noona was being unusually quiet as she sat between Yoongi and Jin.
She had engaged and laughed when needed but when the focus hadn’t been on her or she didn’t need to say anything, she had gone quiet and picked at her food. Jin had also been uncharacteristically quiet and no amount of reassuring from BigHit about their female artist was quelling ARMY’s worries or rumours. Local media was also reporting on ARMY’s questions about whether the break was going to lead to Grace quitting BTS to go it alone. There was also no sign of her long awaited mixtape or any kind of music like the boys had been hinting at.
Radio silence had formed around Korea’s Noona.
Then came Busan and Grace was back to her usual self, her performance gaining highly rated reviews at how she was able to pull off her dance moves in the clothes they had put her in, in the heels and for the fact that no one had actually heard her sing since the last time BTS were on stage.
And then came the news Seokjin was going to cancel the delay for his military service and he would be going to enlist in December.
Grace’s life as she knew it came to abrupt halt.
“I don’t know who I am anymore,” Grace admitted as she stared at her tea that Jin had made when the news had been announced that morning. Even though they were a couple, they had agreed to live separately for now until he came back from his service, though that didn’t mean they couldn’t have ‘sleepovers.’ Jin had woken up that morning to find his partner in front of her living room window, overlooking the gardens of the compound.
“Who do you think you are?” he asked, sitting down on her opposite side and stared at his own coffee.
Military plans were always going to come and he had wanted to go just after what would have been the end of their Map of the Soul tour but then the pandemic came, Butter came, Permission to Dance and everything else. Now he could finally go, with the rest of the boys to follow.
However, it meant that Grace would be on her own for the first time. She would be the one to represent BTS, represent BigHit as a solo artist, to represent their legacy, their songs and their performances. She would have to do that all alone, without none of the boys there to support her.
Grace had been their silent support during various solo promotions: she had been there for Yoongi’s Agust D, Namjoon’s Indigo, J-Hope’s first mixtape then his first album, Jungkook’s various solo projects, Jimin’s first solo album and Taehyung’s various modelling careers. And she had always been there for Jin's various solos, promos and more.
But they wouldn’t be there for hers.
“I’ve finally got comfortable being the only member of BTS, and being the only female at BigHit. I’ve finally found my footing…but without you guys, who am I? Who can I claim to be? I’ve got nothing.”
Jin reached over to brush her long hair away from her eyes, using his thumb to brush away the tears she finally allowed to flow.
“Who am I without you?” she whispered, turning to meet Jin’s gaze.
“For starters, you’re Grace Chu - BigHit’s first female trainee, Namjoon’s trainer, J-Hope’s sunshine, Yoongi’s support, Jimin’s comforter, Taehyung’s translator and Jungkook’s mother. You’re known as Korea’s Noona, ARMY’s queen, England’s rose,” Jin took hold of her hand and pressed the back of it to his lips. “Love of my life.”
“You’ve got a whole team ready to stand behind you and I know you’ve got plans, things you want to do. BTS isn’t BTS without you and I can’t think of no other person who is going to represent us and ARMY to the rest of the world.”
For Grace, there was always going to be the unsettling feeling that the boys were looking forward to their solo projects and she couldn’t be more proud of them but for her, it was BTS or nothing. She couldn’t perform without her boys.
However, she would later prove herself wrong when she was called into Bang’s office and he began to personally oversee her solo career and endorsements. Sejin was recalled to be her manager, she got her own make up team and stylists from the BTS crew and the boys bodyguards became her own. To make her feel comfortable, it was the same team that she had worked with before.
Her worries remained with her each time she saw her boys off and when she got on stage on her own, but she would countdown the days until 2025 when they all would be reunited.
Grace turned away from her tea, glanced towards the window and felt Jin settle behind her, pulling her back against his chest. “I’ll be with you every step of the way. You know I’ll contact you every chance I get, and I’ll see you when I can. You’ll just have to get used to being a military wife, like ARMY has to.”
Hearing Jin’s signature laugh, the mood broke and Grace laughed as she sighed. “Always have to ruin the mood. What do you mean wife?!”
She never got the answer to that question.
Note: Today is the 10th Anniversary for BTS and ARMY. From me to you guys, enjoy a little bit of angst on this fine day because hahahahaha...sorry.

i’m not burned out on art because there are still lots of things i consider fun to draw, but i’m very burned out on the self-promo aspects of being a social media artist
it’s always been running just to stand still. it has to be constant or people trickle away faster than they trickle in. and it’s not and never has been anybody’s fault - i know folks are eager to support the creators they love. but while you might have a dollar for a handful of your favourites, you don’t have enough dollars for them all. that’s just the way it is
what’s discouraging has been the sharp dive of social media reliability recently, and the rise of certain artist displacement tools. now, those tools in and of themselves are... scope for a whole lotta discussion which more qualified people than i are doing... but one overall result of the tools existing and being used has been further undervaluing of artists’ skills. furthering the view that artists are just fodder to be consumed
so what if a bunch of artists are out of work? there’s always more that are willing to do more, for less. and worst case scenario there are the machines
but i’ll say - most people who appreciate artwork don’t feel that way. they do care about artists. but people who appreciate artwork are also not most people. outside in the world ignorance reigns. again, not anybody’s fault. it’s harder than ever these days to see past our own immediate problems
to be honest i’m surprised i’ve managed to get this far at all. when i quit the stable career i trained so hard to get into to pursue this lifestyle it was mostly from desperation - at least, no matter how stressful things are as an artist, nothing’s going to die because of error or incompetence or negligence on my part. but i have a safety network that allowed me to try, and stick around when things got tough. i’m already one of the lucky ones. no wonder so many others are leaving art fields for good
i’m hoping to find a full time art job, at least for a little while. though seeing very successful freelancers say it’s the toughest it’s ever been, and seeing how professional industry full-timers have been treated to meet expectations and demands in this emerging world... it’s not really a happy prospect either. but it might help dispel some of this gloom from appealing to the social media gods
the thing is... regardless of how shitty things are for professionals now... people are still always going to make art. people are always going to love making art. which is why there will always be artists to exploit. which is part of this whole... misery of the situation.
but no job is without its miseries, right?
nice to just vent once in a while

I see ur kind of back in the eene fandom. Favorite and least favorite headcanons about the Ed's if your feeling up to it?
Lol hi. And yeah I'm here. Arcane has had such a relentless chokehold on my brain for the past year and a half and it's finally loosening it's grip (inb4 inevitable Season 2 promo shit lmao).
HCs for the Eds? Let's goooo-
HCs I like:
Ed
-I like the HC he has ADHD. It fits him well and has direct canon evidence. As an ADHDer, he fits a lot of the basic stereotypes.
-The kinda popular fandom idea that he will be involved in the filming or general crew of B-tier horror movies when he's an adult. Career path is honestly among the most likely. Can also dig him being an Art Bell-esque radio or podcast host of weird conspiracy stuff.
-Love when he's paired with May. I feel that they'd be the only Ed/Kanker combo that'd work imho.
-Even though he's a fun loving character at heart, I like the idea that we see more of that serious and angry side he showed in Little Ed Blue and BPS. Like as he gets older and more seasoned he learns to stand up for himself more. Not his default at all, but learns to put up with less shit.
-I don't see him caring much about gender or sexuality. I don't ever see him labeling himself or thinking much about it, but I also don't see him as fully straight or cis.
-Can see him really being into Astrology and star charts. He probably has an Ancient Aliens phase 😆
Edd
-Like to think he starts taking college classes in his Junior or Senior year of high-school. Probably gets offers from Ivy-League schools, picking not the one he wants to go to the most, but the one that leaves him closest to home.
-I think it was @eddbedandeddy that came up with the idea that he has trichotillomania, where one pulls out clumps of hair as a very maladaptive nervous habit. Love this and I fully support the HC that it's why he wears his hat.
-Dig the idea he goes on to become a doctor of some sort.
-Is a really bad cook. Underseasons and overcooks a LOT. Usually keeps it to cup noodles, sandwiches, or takeout if the responsibility falls on him.
-Definitely has big bi or pan energy.
-Though he can't cook, Edd is very good with gardening and plants in general. Super good at keeping them healthy and cultivating them.
-Mellows out a bit when he gets older. Still a tad neurotic but not a full blown nervous wreck.
Eddy
(So warning: Eddy is my favoritest, most special little guy(TM) so there is a little bias for how many HCs I have for him compared to the others. Sorry lol.)
-It's funny when you think about it, because in terms of Eddy's personality after BPS it's actually pretty nebulous to nail down. Despite being one of the brashest, most outspoken characters he's actually the most mysterious when it comes down to who he truly is. He hid behind a facade for the majority of the show's runtime, after all, so what he truly is like underneath that leaves a lot up to the imagination.
-HOWEVER, I HC Eddy returning to his Season 1 and early Season 2 personality after BPS, with a decent amount of self reflection and maturity tacked on. I think how he acted in Season 1 is the closest to who he really is at the core. A good example of how I see Eddy (as a teenager, at least), is that he would share a lot of traits with Amethyst from Steven Universe, I guess? Closest example I can think of, tbh.
-He's closeted gay kid. Home of sexual. 👬🏳️‍🌈🌈 I used to see him as a bi, but rewatches changed my mind a lot. (Part of it is that he's always been my favorite and I was projecting tbh.) It takes him till his mid-to-late teens to start to accept it.
-Excellent cook. His mom's side is 100% Italian in my personal HC and she and her side bestowed a ton of culinary knowledge on him from old family recipes etc.
-Piggybacking off this, I see Eddy being a line cook for quite a while if not as his staple career. I can also see him doing car sales and bartending and even working at a deli. Bounces around jobs a lot, but always is employed in some way or the other.
-He loves baking and is very good at it. Don't give him shit about it or he will cry in private.
-Eddy is ADHD like Ed, but on the more impulsive and moody side of the large spectrum ADHD consists of. He also is bipolar af.
-Is heavily into music in general, especially as he gets older. He also has a penchant for musicals and Broadway, but he WILL get defensive if you tease him for it. But yeah, music is his biggest hobby and interest by far.
HCs I don't like:
Ed
-That he's too stupid to live. Leave him alone, he's dim but functional.
-The idea he can't function independently from Edd and Eddy. He absolutely can and is his own person!
-When fanfics or works in general make Eddy and Edd act like parents to him. He's their equal 👏
-Anytime he's explicitly third-wheeled when Edd and Eddy are paired. You absolutely can write the former two paired up without excluding him.
Edd
-When the fandom makes him an uwu softboy. Stfu. He's a little asshole with a smart mouth and a truckload of sass. Erasing that makes him so BORING 😴
-The HC that he will 'outgrow' Eddy and Ed and move on from them. He's right where he belongs and they complete each other. Stop.
Eddy
-Where do I begin? Firstly, him acting the same exact way as he does in the show after what happened in BPS. The entire movie was explicitly about Eddy becoming a better person and learning his lesson. At least show some growth.
-Him becoming an even more ruthless and corrupt scammer as an adult. Paired with the above point, but still.
-Any HCs that he's heterosexual 🤢
-MAKING HIM TALL.
-Fanart that makes him skinny.
I could go on but those are the main ones. Ty anon!

Hi Disco! I have an author question for you that's pretty specific. I'm trying to get my career as an indie/small-publisher romance author off the ground. I've published a few books, but I'm floundering when it comes to attracting new readers. Social media can only do so much. Do you have any recommendations regarding trustworthy and effective forms of advertising? There's a million places you could spend money, but I worry about scams. Amazon? Facebook? Something I don't know about? Thank you!
DW:
Sadly, there's no secret trick you don't know about!
I've personally never had much luck with Amazon ads, but I do recommend checking out Bryan Cohen's Ad Challenges. These run pretty regularly, and they're free (apart from your ad spend), so they're a great place to learn how to go about ads. Or, if you're like me, to get even more confused.
Facebook is awful. We all know it. But it is where I find a lot of my readers. Do you have a reader group? Join a few, and check out what they do. Then start your own! Join the m/m rec groups and check their rules on promo. Self rec your books when readers ask for something that might fit what they're looking for.
Check out my group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/rockhenryhoney
The most valuable resource on Facebook, for me, is the Gay and MM Author Network, which was set up by Lucy Lennox, who is not only a huge success in the genre, she's also amazingly generous with her time and advice. If you're a published author you can join, and it is an absolutely treasure trove of knowledge.
I checked out your website (I love your hair!) and saw you already have a newsletter. If you haven't read this book already, buy it now:
Do you have a reader magnet for your newsletter? A free short story that you can tell people about in the back of your book? "Hey, if you want to know what crazy thing happens to these characters on their regular date night, sign up now for my newsletter!" Or something like that; you get the idea.
It's very slow work building a newsletter. Keep an eye out for joint author events on places like Prolific Works. You might be limited in your ability to join these because you're with a publisher (some events require making your books free or cheaper for a period but not all do, so it's worth keeping an eye out). You only really find out about these things via word of mouth, so the more authors you know on FB (and the more who know you!) the easier it becomes for these opportunities to pop up for you.
And join the mailing list of the 3 Peachy PAs. They regularly have events to grow your social media following.
The most important thing is what you've already done here. Reach out to other authors and ask! It can be very easy to feel disillusioned when it can be so hard to get eyes on your books, but remember, it's a marathon and not a sprint.
Your books look amazing (I just bought them!) and I am very much looking forward to reading them!
(And join my Facebook group, seriously!)

Hi! I love Spitfire!! I'm a brand new author with a book that will probably be ready to self publish soon and I was wondering if you have any advice for marketing. I'm not a well known person on any platform. How do you build up a base to actually buy your book?? Thank you in advance!
thank you! 🧡🧡
i don’t know if i’m the right person to ask for this, since i already had an audience for my art, so i didn’t have to start from scratch. and i also have been able to create my own promo art, which is very helpful because social media is SO visual.
what i can say is that i have noticed that overwhelmingly tumblr and tiktok have been the best places to find readers and to actually connect with people over books. i recommend consuming the kind of content you are looking to make and that includes not just the social media posts that get a lot of traction, but also actually engaging with the content/creators and reading their work. and not just focusing on the MOST popular/viral posts/creators, but also on people who are closer to where you’re at career-wise. basically, do your research and try to make friends!
i say this to anyone trying to build an audience for anything, but you can’t make people resonate with your work. you also can’t force people to like or follow you/your work. but you can try to make friends and foster a community and in some ways that’s the most valuable thing. there are a lot of people out there who would love to be a part of a small and supportive creative community but who don’t feel confident enough to reach out to others. and i don’t mean this in a fake/networky way, but if you are a person who is able to do this, i really recommend trying. because your audience size and sale numbers aren’t in your control and focusing on those results will make you feel like shit, but making friends? that’s actionable. you can’t make people be your friends but you can reach out and you can try. and it feels good to support and help others and to receive that help in turn. and in general, when people can see that you’re loving what you’re doing/making, that you’re having fun and fostering a community—that’s attractive.
overwhelmingly, you are gonna try and try and try and maybe 1-10% of your efforts will gain any real traction, but it’s important to keep trying and to try different things. building an audience snowballs. it typically starts slow and then grows exponentially. but i’m no marketing expert and there’s not hard and fast rule on what will or won’t work, as we’re all different people making different things under different circumstances. all you can do is try to make your experience a good one.

I hope you guys don't get upset by my opinion because I know this is a support place for Florence, I support her too but I'm going to express my pov after Chris's interview. Harry and Chris are coming out of the fake "spitgate" in the best way in the media while Olivia and Florence can't close the chapter in a positive way (I don't care about O reputation) and I know Florence is already working in other bigger and better projects but now it seems that it was only F&O that created drama on set. I think Flo should say something I know she turned the page and she doesn't want to talk about the DWD drama but her silence and how she behaved in Venice is leaving the door open for speculation; I think she should say something maybe not give details that could create more rumors but say something generic that leaves Olivia alone as the drama queen because after Chris's interview with Esquire the narrative is the whole set was peaceful no one saw drama then Why didn't Florence promote the movie if everything was fine on set? I don't know but Florence's version here has to be known sooner or later. I always supported Florence, DWD unfortunately was a missed opportunity to enjoy Harry's work and interaction with one of the best actresses of the moment although I confess that I did not agree with Flo's behavior in Venice that was the only thing I did not like form her and the condescending way in which she spoke of Harry in her Marie Clare interview she was a bit ott. I think WB accepted that she did not promote the film that was a way to respect and understand her decision, but her staylist Miss Flo t-shirts, her body language on the red carpet and leaving in the middle of the standing ovation was unnecessary and rude 😌(i'm sounding like a shipper i'm not proud of that lol), it was like throwing more gasoline on the fire and the Venice Film festival was her only promotional commitment with the movie imo there was no need for so much shade that day, this just my opinion and I hope you don't take it the wrong way, I have nothing against Flo I actually can understand her frustration with H&O because she had expectations with that film for her career and it ended up in a pathetic media circus, but why not say it? I don't think it's fair that the perception remains that she created drama with Olivia when we all know that it was Olivia's self promo decisions that caused Flo to distance herself from the project why not say it? The industry journalist supports her, the film fans support her even Twitter trolls support her, I don't know but I think Florence should close the chapter and not leave her name attached to Olivia as set troublemakers when Florence has never had a bad reputation on set. I want the entire cast to be away from the DWD mess but Florence must speak and express what bothered her nothing bad is going to happen to her career, why so much silence? .
I get exactly what you mean! With the door still being open Olivia will attach to that drama because that’s what she does
But with Flo, I think her interview she did with Variety and saying she won’t comment on dwd was quiet loud (but that’s me!!)
whatever happened with flo and Olivia was probably behind closed doors and like you said her frustration with holivia stunt; flo is the type of person to let her work speak not make a stunt to promote it!
I think maybe flo is pissed with how everything in promo went? And didn’t want anything to do with it- personally with Venice I think the way flo acted was probably to piss Olivia off and ruin the film! A film festival is big deal and let’s be honest I think they all want to forget that night! I mean flo turned up with a cocktail during the press conference when though she said she would be there in the night!

Larries love Louis when he does what they love most, and that’s be mia. Larries loved Louis during the pandemic because he’d do a check in tweet once every other week and disappear. And when he was gone, they could make up where he was, who he was with and what he was doing, while also getting “content” from him. And that’s the content they prefer, music? God no, tweets!! Because all you have to do is like the tweet, you don’t actually have to do anything for him! But as soon as he does anything career wise suddenly they’re all busy. Suddenly they stop liking his tweets or interacting with his posts at all. Half assed enthusiasm and backhanded comments, the usual. But then he disappears again and they’re fine with him and go back to their theories when he tweets a little hello and disappears they’re happy. Except lately they just seem annoyed by him and that’s probably because they’ve figured out that all the times he’s been mia he’s been busy and very much not living out the fantasy life they created. Which louies have always said, that Louis is always busy working on something when he disappears considering we’ve gotten the live from london livestream, afhf and doc, a tour he clearly rehearsed a lot for, the second afhf and his second album, but I guess they felt he was busy with his darling husband the whole time and are annoyed that once again he debunks everything they come up with. So now even mia Louis is losing his sparkle and actual Louis is apparently the most annoying creature on the planet to them so really it’s only a matter of time before they give up. Which really it won’t make much of difference in the support he gets anyways since most of them can’t be bothered to even act like they remember he’s released two songs and has an album out next month.
I think the amount of misinformation about Louis surpasses the amount of actual real information on Larry blogs.
For example, this post, a “clarification” of a previous post that implies Louis and the Skinner Brothers intentionally set up the Twitter conflict for promo (and look at all the notes on that post). It’s shocking that Larries actually believe that Louis would engage in this sort of self-mockery, but they also believe Louis leaked his own music for promo?
@buscandoelparaiso not only does not clarify this mistake, but she doubles down on the implication. Since 2020, Three Six Zero (TSZ) CEO Mark Gillespie has been silent on Louis Tomlinson and has not actually promoted Louis once. The manager working with Louis is Matt Vines from seven7management, whether Louis is in the UK, the USA, or anywhere in the world. Louis doesn’t have a different manager in the USA. seven7 is affiliated with TSZ, but TSZ is also — as the post said — a huge company representing hundreds of artists AND with a record label that is partnered with Sony Music. It would have been easy to be explicitly clearer about Matt Vines, but misleading implications and untrue connections are a Larrie trademark.
Why do most Larries rely on such terrible sources, instead of better sources?
Because facts ruin the illusion.
There are Larries who actually “can’t bear to watch” the sex scenes between Harry Styles and Emma Corrin in My Policeman, but are excited to see them between Harry and David Dawson. There are Larries who only read “canon-compliant” Larry fanfiction. Their mind is an illness where the biggest fear is Reality, a contradiction to the fantasy in their heads.
They’ve believed that Louis and Clifford were hiding in Los Angeles during the pandemic to be with Harry, instead of organizing his own festival, writing and recording his solo music, rehearsing for a livestream and tour. Remember their obsession with the dog barking during Harry’s audio interview? Thousands of notes on those insane posts. They were making Excel spreadsheets tracking how Louis and Harry “planned their tours together so they would overlap,” and “Louis scheduled his Italian concert around the DWD Venice premiere.” Now that it’s clear they’ve spent YEARS apart (on different continents), and will continue to in 2023, Larries tell followers that longterm relationships actually don’t require any physical contact; you’re just as good spending 99% of your time apart. They compare their own lives to Harry and Louis, as if Harry and Louis are gossipy, invasive women obsessed with two guys in their late 20’s/early 30’s having sex with each other.
I wonder whether Larries will actually show up to Louis’ tour next year? We’ll see what numbers are like with Faith in the Future.

Kaia Gerber has her Bottoms movie coming out and here feels like a safe space to vent.
1. She’s the worst working actress in Hollywood.
2. Her insane fans ::cough:: Mollie ::cough:: have been defending that “maybe she will get better.” Nobody who isn’t a nepo baby gets to literally destroy a tv show and do the worst work ever in every other project they’re cast in only to keep getting chances. It’s an insult to injury for all of the out of work actors Kaia keeps taking roles from who can’t pay bills DESPITE THAT THEY ARE GOOD ACTORS. It’s like defending a doctor who killed people on their first day on the job bc they didn’t understand medicine and rooting for them to improve over not being meant to do that job. And it’s classist AF to take Kaia’s side over the more blue collar actors who don’t have the connections. 🙄
3. Kaia has yet to join the picket lines. So many famous people have bc they actually care. Instead she’s has having a grand old summer going to Taylor Swift, traveling, and so forth bc she isn’t hurting bc of the strike. She can pay bills still; others can’t. The only thing worse than a nepo baby who can’t act taking jobs away from talented actors who keeps getting more chances is a nepo baby who does not give an eff that other people are out of work bc of the strikes and genuinely struggling. It’s beyond out of touch and lacks so much empathy and self awareness.
4. Kaia Gerber is too rich to hang out with the peasants who need to picket, but is calling the paparazzi and going to Nobu. Coincidentally these dumb hike and pap walk/Nobu pics are all the week before the Bottoms release. Hmmmmm. Can’t do promo without being a scab, but suddenly after laying low for weeks Kaia suddenly is in the UK Daily mail every day for literally doing nothing but walking. Hmm. Can’t drum up press by striking? Would rather look glamorous at a celebrity hot spot instead? I guess if it walks like a self centered duck who has no concern for others struggles bc she’ll apparently have a career and paycheck no matter what, I guess it IS a self centered duck who has no concern for others struggles bc she’ll apparently have a career and paycheck no matter what. 🙄
5. I’m ALL for lesbian representation movies. I would support Bottoms. But a) I’m not a fan of crass/blue/bloody humor after having my fill of those kinds of movies from the decade or so prior. So…pass. B) I could overlook that to support gay women but…Kaia. I’m not supporting her 10 millionth chance to attempt something that resembles a human while acting and the only way to vote is to vote with your dollars. I’m not voting for Kaia and I encourage others who feel the same to stay home and not even hate watch this movie. This airplane reads book club reading, clout chasing, talentless woman needs to be humbled.
Do not watch Bottoms. Blame Kaia for it. Thank you.
Anon I salute you, this was awesome. The girl cannot act, she refuses to acknowledge that she has privilege from nepotism and thinks it doesn't apply to her, she steals these jobs away from hardworking actors that want a job, she doesn't give a hoot about the strike in reality because she can simply go back to modeling whenever it suits her and she can pay her bills, and i will never watch Bottoms so all is good :)

Writer Questions 5 & 20?
5. Do you have any writing superstitions? What are they and why are they 100% true?
Hmm. I guess to some degree I feel like if I talk about my WIPs/ideas too much, I'll never actually write them. Idk if that's a superstition so much as it's me recognizing my brain is an idiot. asldjf I also feel like, on some level, people who write for themselves who don't support and build up other writers will find it comes back around to bite them in the end. They might still be massively successful, but like... will they enjoy it? will they meaningfully be a part of the community? will they be able to sustain a career on skill alone? will they go as far as they could've gone if they had an actual network? i genuinely don't know but you gotta support and build up other creatives before the robots take our jobs
12. If a genie offered you three writing wishes, what would they be? Btw if you wish for more wishes the genie turns all your current WIPs into Lorem Ipsum, I don’t make the rules. Wish 1: A device that lets me turn back time with no consequences so that I can always have extra time to write if I want it. Wish 2: Professional rejections will always always come with insightful feedback (and praise for what I did well so I don't cry.) Wish 3: A magically well-paid marketing guru who will cover all promo for me forever in perpetuity bc i hate self-promo and half the time, the notion of attempting it makes me want to anxiety puke

An Interview With Snir Yamin
We had the chance to catch up with artist Snir Yamin to ask him a few questions about his new single, Aftermath, and the incredible creative process behind it. The song offers beautiful production aesthetics, and it is a great introduction to what Snir's vibe is all about. Keep reading for our full interview with the artist!
Hi Snir, congratulations on your new single, "Aftermath"! Can you tell us what prompted this transition from your alternative roots into pop music with this new work?
Thank you so much! Transitioning into pop music with "Aftermath" was a natural progression for me. While I've always had a deep love for alternative rock, I've also been a fan of clever and emotionally resonant pop music. I wanted to challenge myself creatively and explore new sonic landscapes while still staying true to my own artistic identity. "Aftermath" is a reflection of that desire to blend the best of both worlds, combining the emotional depth of my alternative roots with the infectious hooks and melodies that pop music is known for.
"Aftermath" has a unique and catchy sound, and although it has a pop twist, it still has a very cool alt vibe at its core. What inspired you to create this unique sound?
Creating the unique sound of "Aftermath" was a collaborative effort with my co-producer John Ho, professionally known as Mr. Ho. We both wanted to retain the cool alt vibe that's been a part of my musical identity while infusing it with fresh pop elements. The inspiration came from a desire to make music that connects with a wide audience emotionally while still maintaining that edginess and authenticity that my fans have come to love. It was about finding the perfect balance between these two worlds, and I believe we've achieved that with "Aftermath."
“Aftermath" explores themes of love, resilience, and personal growth. Can you share with us some of the key messages you hope listeners will take away from this song?
Absolutely. "Aftermath" is a song that delves into the aftermath of a profound relationship, which is a universal experience many people can relate to. The key messages I hope listeners take away from this song are about the strength of resilience in the face of heartbreak, the importance of personal growth and self-discovery, and the idea that even in our most vulnerable moments, we can find the power to heal and move forward. It's a message of hope and empowerment, and I hope that it resonates with anyone who has gone through a challenging breakup, whether it’s a lover or an ex-friend.
Are there any elements from your previous work that you've carried over into this new project as you’re transitioning into a different style?
My work in alternative rock has had a significant influence on my approach to "Aftermath." While I've embraced pop elements, I've carried over my commitment to writing emotionally honest lyrics and delivering them with authenticity. My experiences as an alternative rock singer have given me a unique perspective on storytelling and songwriting, which I've applied to this pop project. So, you'll still find the emotional depth and sincerity in "Aftermath" that has been a hallmark of my previous work.
Do you have any touring plans for this release promo cycle?
Yes, I'm thrilled to share that I have plans to go back on tour following the release of this new project. While the exact dates and locations are still in the works, I'm looking forward to connecting with my fans and bringing the music of "Aftermath" to the stage. It's going to be an exciting journey, and I can't wait to share this experience with my supporters.
As an artist, you've evolved and experimented with various genres throughout your career. What can your fans look forward to in terms of future projects beyond this new work?
I believe artistic evolution is essential for growth, and I plan to continue exploring different genres and musical styles in my future projects. While "Aftermath" marks my entry into the world of pop music, I don't intend to limit myself to one genre. My fans can expect a dynamic and ever-evolving musical journey from me, where I'll continue to experiment, collaborate with talented artists, and push the boundaries of my creativity. So, there's plenty of exciting and diverse music on the horizon for those who have been with me on this artistic journey.

I think Harry and Louis do these things mainly for themselves and perhaps for each other, but not for fans directly. /
I mostly agree with this answer, mod, but I have a slightly different take on this. I do think that both Harry and Louis do some things for fans directly, honestly. I think if they wanted to put an end to the Larry speculation and to have a purely private relationship, it would be very easy for them to avoid not the things they do that feel like self-expression (like particular lyrics, or even the Harryween Grease choice) but the things they do that feel like solely or mostly communication with fans/directed at fans (like bluegreening, for example).
But they don't do that. And while sure, maybe part of it is "Larrybaiting", I'm more inclined to think that both of them just have a very complicated relationship with their fans who are Larries. Even if in their current circumstances, taking into account all of their different priorities and the various factors, they're choosing to remain largely closeted, I don't think they particularly like that choice and would prefer circumstances were different. And even if Larries make their lives more difficult in a lot of ways, they've also both said things in the not too distant past that make me think they find value in and appreciate maintaining a portion of their fans who do see their relationship (Harry saying "thank you for listening, thank you for accepting, thank you for knowing”, I can't find the direct quote but Louis' quote about fans at shows making him feel supported and accepted). I'm obviously speculating, but I can imagine that, for example, if you want to express yourself by writing a love song about your partner, on some level you'd feel an appreciation for fans who get out of it what you put into it, even if that's not the only interpretation you want people to have. Besides, I think they will eventually come out, and even if it's on a 5-7 year, long term timeframe, keeping Larries around ensures that when it does happen, they know they have a core fanbase who will still support them.
I agree with your general meaning in the sense that Harry and Louis both do things that keep Larry alive. If you dress up as Danny Zuko for the highly anticipated Harryween show, people are going to make a certain connection. If you point to a "Larry is Real" sign in front of a room full of Larries, people are going to draw certain conclusions. I could go on, but the point is that whether it's for fans or not, a lot of it does happen in front of fans. I also think Larry factors into both of their promo and, if I'm being honest, my overall feelings about that are quite negative. So I just try to find the humor in it where I can and then move on. But once again, it keeps it alive. I think you're right to say that the reasons are really complex and multi-faceted.
Except for a few very specific examples, I really don't put much stock in the blue-greening or coded clothing. I think the chances of it being coincidence are very high. But more importantly, I just don't find it to be a useful way to engage with fandom or understand Harry, Louis, and their relationship.
I don't think a coming out is going to happen anytime soon. Maybe in the very, very distant future when both their careers have calmed down. But even then... And frankly, if they are still together, I think that makes a coming out even less likely.
