« I’m tall, I get recognised all over the place so I just try and keep my head down.
I mean you just get people shouting out, ‘Hey you’re the Hound’ and I tell them to ‘f*** off’ and they seem happy and I carry on. »
— Rory McCann (AKA: Sandor "The Hound" Clegane) from a 2017 interview at the Daily Record.
We can imagine those fans almost immediately posting something like this on social media...
The Hound just told me to fuck off! 😃👍🏼
Extra cred if it happened near a fried chicken outlet. 🍗

If Arya Stark had been able to go back about 165 years, perhaps she would have compiled a new list.
Maybe her ancestor Cregan Stark is into lists. 📃

Pilou Asbæk, last seen in the ASoIaF universe as Euron Greyjoy, will be appearing in Season 3 of Foundation – based on the Isaac Asimov book series.
Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbæk has joined the cast for the third season of Foundation. As per Deadline, the star will take over the role of Warlord/The Mule from Mikael Persbrandt, with the character being upgraded to a regular role for the upcoming season. Asbæk, who played Euron Greyjoy on HBO’s fantasy show, isn’t the only star joining the cast for the third season of Foundation, with Cherry Jones, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, Brandon P Bell, Tómas Lemarquis, Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing and Leo Bill all being added to the roster. Jones will play Foundation Ambassador Quent, with Karlsen assuming the role of Bayta Mallow as Fern plays Toran Mallow; Bell, Lermarquis, Wong-Loi-Sing and Bill will play Han Pritcher, Magnifico Giganticus, Song and Mayor Indbur, respectively.
It will be interesting to see Pilou Asbæk portray a diplomat. Though he was in the Danish series Borgen which was about the political career of a fictional prime minister.

Maisie Williams at Instagram shared a behind the scenes photo, presumably from Season 8, of the Night King apparently trying to crawl through a window. Note the phone in his right hand; perhaps he has an app called Wight Animator.

Apparently winter came for the Jon Snow sequel.
The Jon Snow spinoff of Game of Thrones is no longer in active development at HBO. Though the main series ended in 2019, the fantasy franchise is continuing with multiple prequel series based on the works of George R.R. Martin, including House of the Dragon and the upcoming A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. It was first reported in 2022 that a Jon Snow spinoff series, which would act as a sequel to Game of Thrones following Kit Harington's character, was in development. Now, during an exclusive interview with Screen Rant promoting Blood for Dust, Harington confirmed that the Jon Snow spinoff series is no longer in development. The actor says the project was previously in the developmental stage, but "currently, it's not" and "it's off the table" because they "couldn't find the right story to tell." Though it's no longer in active development, Harington hopes they can revisit the project sometime in the future.
When it comes to GoT sequels, following Jon Snow's wanderings North of the Wall would not be anywhere as interesting as a series on Arya Stark's voyages.
Perhaps GoT sequels in the form of movies should be something that HBO looks into.

Casting news about Dunk & Egg.
Peter Claffey (Bad Sisters) and Dexter Sol Ansell (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) have landed the two lead roles in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, the next Thrones spinoff series to follow House of the Dragon, Entertainment Weekly can exclusively report. The prequel is based on author George R.R. Martin's Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas and is set about a century before the events of Game of Thrones. Claffey will star as "Dunk," a.k.a. Ser Duncan the Tall, a young, naïve, and courageous knight; and Ansell will star as "Egg," the nickname for Duncan's diminutive squire. [ ... ] Claffey, a former Connacht Rugby player in Ireland, made his stage debut at Dublin's Abbey Theatre in A Whistle in the Dark by Tom Murphy. He was seen in 2022's Bad Sisters and Wreck, and he's set to star opposite Cillian Murphy in Small Things Like These and to appear in season 3 of Vikings: Valhalla. Ansell, now 9 years old, started his acting career at the age of 4 on ITV's 2019 show Emmerdale. His credits include Sky's thriller series The Midwich Cuckoos and Netflix's comedy film Christmas on Mistletoe Farm, but he more recently portrayed a younger Coriolanus Snow in last year's The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Ansell also has roles lined up in The Moor, Channel 4's Hullraisers, and Robin and The Hood.
I think that Art Parkinson was just 9 when he was chosen to portray Rickon Stark. Though Rickon was not really that major a character throughout GoT.
As one of the title characters, Dexter Sol Ansell will probably be in every episode. So I'm wondering if this will be an ASoIaF equivalent of a kids program.

So, what was up with Podrick at the brothel in S03E03?
One talent Podrick has, which we discovered in Season 8, was that he has a good singing voice. Did he sing to the three women during his stay at Littlefinger's establishment?

In the US Army, tank crews often have nicknames for their vehicles. A crew from the 1st Squadron, 150th Cavalry of the West Virginia Army National Guard has the word DRACARYS and an image of Drogon on the main gun barrel sticking out of the turret of their M1 Abrams tank.
Perhaps they’re hoping for Drogon to join them.
The photo above is from The Drive in a feature which shows other tanks as well. Some have unexpected names and decorations like the M1 flying an anarchist flag.

When GRRM finishes The Winds of Winter I hope that he will find the time to write a short book about the politics in Game of Thrones and how its lessons relate to contemporary real life politics.

Robert Baratheon was not a great king -- but look at what came after him.
I remember when a lot of people in 2016 were vilifying Hillary Clinton and obsessing over her email server or some other peccadillo. Just sayin’.
