Speculation on which characters will be appearing in the Dunk and Egg series "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight".
Yes, Walder Frey is apparently an infant at the start of Dunk and Egg. 😮

There's now a House of the Dragon version of the classic board game MONOPOLY.
Pledge loyalty to a house by choosing one of six themed golden tokens, then move around the board to travel through Westeros and across the Narrow Sea to Essos, and take control of strongholds, lands, and bays. The more you own, the more rent you can collect from opponents. Will you secure dragon eggs and fearsome dragons to bring your enemies to their knees? The last player with coins when all others have lost theirs wins! This strategy board game's board, packaging, tokens, money, cards, and game pieces are all inspired by the popular TV series. Looking for fun adult board games for game night? This exciting game for ages 17+ is a great choice, and it makes a beautiful gift for fans of Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon."
I'm not sure why this version of the game is rated 17+. A MONOPOLY based on Disney Stitch, being released around the same time, is rated 8+. Are nudity, incest, and maiming part of the game or is Hasbro just being cautious about the tie-in to the series?

So what happened to Ned's bones?
In the HBO series Littlefinger presented them to Cat – obviously before the Red Wedding. The next we know of them, they had apparently been interred in the Winterfell crypt sometime after Ramsay's defeat at the Battle of the Bastards.
This vid goes primarily by events in ASoIaF. Several figures not seen in the TV series are mentioned prominently. So if you're in the process of reading the books, be prepared for some middling spoilers.

A short vid of Jack Gleeson talking about how people still recognize him as Joffrey.
We hear Jack's natural Irish accent more in this clip.

« I’m tall, I get recognised all over the place so I just try and keep my head down.
I mean you just get people shouting out, ‘Hey you’re the Hound’ and I tell them to ‘f*** off’ and they seem happy and I carry on. »
— Rory McCann (AKA: Sandor "The Hound" Clegane) from a 2017 interview at the Daily Record.
We can imagine those fans almost immediately posting something like this on social media...
The Hound just told me to fuck off! 😃👍🏼
Extra cred if it happened near a fried chicken outlet. 🍗

Daemon as a character is not way out of the norm in ASoIaF.
We've seen good people who sometimes do bad things and bad people who sometimes do good things. And there's a lot of ambiguity in between.
One of the reasons Game of Thrones struck a chord was that its characters tended to be less cartoonish. It wasn't all saints vs. orcs.
As for Daemon's popularity, it certainly helps that Matt Smith is brilliant in his portrayal of him.

On 17 April 2011, exactly 13 years ago today, Game of Thrones Season 1 began.
The encounter of those three rangers of the Night's Watch with a White Walker began a series of events that ended only with Arya Stark's dagger thrust in S08E03.

I wonder if Arya ever learned of the inscription on Aegon the Conqueror's Catspaw Dagger which she now carries.
"From my blood comes The Prince Who Was Promised, and his will be the Song of Ice and Fire.

This is the 10th anniversary of the Purple Wedding. You could just about hear people cheering from their homes in 2014.
Rivaled only by Ramsay Bolton and his gruesome affinity for siccing hounds on his victims, Joffrey's predilection for cruelty landed him a proportionate end. Knowing that his claim to the Iron Throne was by all suspicions illegitimate — as he was likely the product of a forbidden relationship between Cersei and her bother, Kingslayer Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) — made his death even more palatable.
Joffrey's evil nature was apparent all the way back in S01E02. Writer Gabriella Ferrigine lists six reasons in her article why Joffrey had it coming. The first reason was his ordering the death of Mycah, the butcher's boy, on the way from Winterfell to King's Landing. Joff wasn't even king at the time.
It would have been great fun if Arya had finished him off. Though the story would have taken a drastic turn.

Cersei thought she could control Joffrey – but we know how that went. While her influence increased when Joffrey became king, he often went off script and just kept getting worse.

« It's a really different season. I think the audience will be very surprised. I don't think whatever you're expecting to happen is what will and that definitely applies to Criston. »
— Fabien Frankel quoted at Man About Town about Season 2 of House of the Dragon.
So does that mean Ser Criston Cole will suggest to Alicent Hightower that the two of them elope to Essos? 😛

Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) is expressing his support for one side in House of the Dragon.
The trailer for House of the Dragon Season 2 demanded that all fans choose a side in the upcoming civil war, and Game of Thrones star Alfie Allen did not hesitate. The actor commented a green circle emoji on one of the promos, indicating his support for "team green" or "the greens." Fans who had chosen the same side were elated, while others were surprised. Allen played Theon Greyjoy on HBO's Game of Thrones from 2011 to 2019, and remains one of the franchise's most iconic stars to this day. It's exciting enough for fans when a Game of Thrones cast member reveals that they are watching House of the Dragon, so the hype around Allen choosing a side went even further.
If you recall GoT to any degree, Theon did make a number of disastrous choices.
"He changes sides often," one commenter on Reddit wrote, referencing Theon's track record on the show. Another referenced the contemporary character in this prequel, writing: "The spirit of Dalton Greyjoy is gonna haunt him for this." A third good-natured fan wrote: "It's okay to be wrong" with a black heart emoji.
Season 2 of House of the Dragon begins on June 16th (June 17th Eastern Hemisphere time).

Apparently winter came for the Jon Snow sequel.
The Jon Snow spinoff of Game of Thrones is no longer in active development at HBO. Though the main series ended in 2019, the fantasy franchise is continuing with multiple prequel series based on the works of George R.R. Martin, including House of the Dragon and the upcoming A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. It was first reported in 2022 that a Jon Snow spinoff series, which would act as a sequel to Game of Thrones following Kit Harington's character, was in development. Now, during an exclusive interview with Screen Rant promoting Blood for Dust, Harington confirmed that the Jon Snow spinoff series is no longer in development. The actor says the project was previously in the developmental stage, but "currently, it's not" and "it's off the table" because they "couldn't find the right story to tell." Though it's no longer in active development, Harington hopes they can revisit the project sometime in the future.
When it comes to GoT sequels, following Jon Snow's wanderings North of the Wall would not be anywhere as interesting as a series on Arya Stark's voyages.
Perhaps GoT sequels in the form of movies should be something that HBO looks into.
