Yandere Male Alice x White Rabbit Reader | 2
You sighed as you saw his baby blue form from the queen’s balcony. Ever since your ‘relationship’ had begun with the outsider things had been…different. Even the Queen of Hearts turned a blind eye when Alice openly threatened your coworkers.
“Here he comes…” You sighed out loud alerting the queen who was sipping on her tea.
“I’ll be finishing up then. If you would escort him up here. I’d like to avoid another….incident like last time.”
“Yes, my queen.” You bowed before excusing yourself from the Queen’s tea room. As soon as you shut the heart doors, you made use of your bunny legs; booking it down the tower stairs. Hopping past the card guards you thankfully were able to meet with Alice before he made it to the second floor.
“Oh hi, baby! How was work today? Have you eaten yet?” Immediately thousands of questions flew from pink lips as the man tightly held you against his chest.
You returned the hug if only to signal with your hands to the newbie guards. Thankfully taking the hint they returned to their post and you kept Alice occupied.
“Uh Alice, the queen wanted to have tea with you.”
Alice grimaced, “Tea? During your lunch?! Has that woman truly gone insane?!”
You calmed him the best you could, being sure to hold his hand close to your chest. He blushed heavily immediately changing his face from a scowl to a satisfied smile. Riding off his high you dragged him up the steps; chuckling in your head when he tripped trying to keep up with you. Finally arrived at those same heart-shaped doors you knocked on before presenting your boyfriend.
“Your highness, Alice Liddell.”
You stood at attention letting Alice come into the room. Without looking at him your ears shrunk back with his intimidating visage. In direct competition the queen gives off her own intense aura one that refuses to falter at his entry.
“Hearts. Are you really going to let my bunny work during their lunch?”
Despite the near growling Alice was doing the queen was biting in her response.
“Please, you come in here without even a curtsy demanding to know what I do with my staff! I don’t have to tell you anything.”
You watched the vein popping out of his clenched fist as he harshly glared at the Queen of Hearts who kept her face still. In a silent conversation delivered through their respective glares, Alice groaned sitting across from the queen who pridefully sipped her piping hot tea. With the clink of her cup to it’s saucer, she hummed before directing her burgundy gaze to you.
“Take your lunch (Y/n). And send for the twins; give them instructions to stay outside the room until the tea is red once more.”
“Yes, your highness. Excuse me.”
You bowed quickly, hopping at posthaste with your clock out of your suit pocket. With the door closed and the two finally alone all, if any existed in the first place, platitudes were dropped. The queen let her stone-face wrinkle with disgust as she held her chin up high and crossing her arms.
“The scent of an outsider is undebatingly repulsive!”
“Your one to talk…not many would want to be a room with a cannibal while they eat.”
They continued to glare at one another once more before pulling away. Alice looked out the window seeing your white ears bob through the maze as you left to eat your lunch. Alice clenched his teeth determined to see you before your break was over.
“You deprive me of my special lunch with my bunny…what do you want, Hearts?”
“Don’t act like your not smothering them…but anyway I need to know the extent at which you intend to continue your hunt?”
The pout Alice wore became a wide sadistic smile.
The queen continued, “The only reason none are acutely aware of my tastes is moderation…something you are not showing despite being granted your ‘antidote’.”
“Awwww,” Alice feigned sadness. Gleefully leaning as he spoke,” Must you refer to my love so coldly? With how much I’ve had to do to get your approval for so much as dating them is insane.”
The queen didn’t speak instead letting a shadow cover the half of her face as she turned her head.
Alice went on,“No. Normally a husband wouldn’t have to do so much to appease their inlaws.”
“...Don’t be presumptuous. I think your wrongly under the impression that we won’t bear our spears towards the only outsider we’ve let change the fate of our world.”
“Oh? But didn’t you try that already? That’s why the dormmouse and the mock turtle no longer exist, don’t you remember?”
A vein began to show on the queens forehead, eventually dissipating as she released her clutch against the folds of her dress. With a sigh of calm she forged on.
“They were acting on their own volition. That was not a collective effort. But depending on your results that may change.”
Alice for once faltered unable to recognize the look in the queen’s eyes. A woman who’d sooner behead someone in an angry fit of rage than actually diffuse the situation. A queen who delighted in a rotten consumption with intentions to behead all who refused to comply. The queen who’s anger nearly destroyed Wonderland…twice.
She was calm.
And Alice didn’t know why.
“What does that mean?”
“Don’t worry about that now Alice.” Returning his curious wrinkle in his brow with that stone-faced visage of a true queen. She took a sip of her tea pulling away to smile with unsmudged blood red lips.
“ Consider this a warning, Alice Lidell: Wonderland may not be a place of order but it is a place of heart. And we protect our hearts no matter how inconsequential they may seem.”
Before Alice could say any more the door opened showing the youngest twin giving an elegant curtsy that was borderline mocking as she wordlessly beckoned the man in blue. Alice turned again standing to make a point only to be startled by the other twin silently twirling his mini mallet already behind the queen.
_____________________________________________________________
Finally exiting the tower Alice left in an even worse mood than before. He felt something he no longer associated with when he was in Wonderland.
Confusion.
He thought he had dispelled it from his system and that the world no longer quivered with unfamiliar haze. But it did. And Alice couldn’t bring himself to happily chase after his bunny, the feeling racked his body with a stillness he hated to remember.
“Alice? You doing okay?”
The harmony of your voice graced Alice’s ears, snapping his head up in surprise. Twitching in all your rabbit glory Alice spied the cloth-wrapped bundle you gingerly held to your chest. Smelling the aroma of freshly baked bread he tilted his head in curiosity.
“Oh yeah, Duke made some widget bread for Hatter’s. I picked out the widgets for you so you could at least eat something.”
Wasting no time you placed the bundle in his arms before hopping past him to reenter the heart themed tower. Hearing the creak of the door and not its slamming, Alice turned around to see you with your foot in the door.
“So? Was I right? She didn’t feed you, right?”
Alice had to compose himself. Silently gulping saliva into his mouth he confirmed, blushing at the regression of his actions towards you. Once again unburying the feelings he thought he had overcome.
“Figured. She’s always forgetting to feed her guests, anyway see you after work!” Blowing a half-hearted kiss you disappeared behind the barrier of those heart-shaped doors.
Realizing he needed to breath, Alice floored himself now pouting with the bread in his hands. How could he let you go without your lunchtime kiss? But he figured he’d survive with the image of your bunny-cuteness sent in a blown kiss for him…just for him. With a skip in his step Alice began to make his way off the Heart’s property with one thing in his heart and the confusion that gripped him
He wasn’t giving (Y/n) up that was for sure and since his…protective habits were the issue then he’d change things. Just like they wanted. He has the love of his life. If his hunting was the problem he’d move to a different forest. This is his dream after all and who were they to rectify the confused and ‘lost’ Alice Liddell.

transform my heart into a tunnel over you
there is no line between what you do and who you are. to love what you do is to love you, and oh, is this love? you've never been loved before, barely even liked or held in any positive regard at all. you fall hard for this loving person you found inside you.
peter/alice or peter & alice (ymmv) minidoodle of a fic. precanon parasocial meetcute.
theoretically, it needn't be a surprise. you could count each tick of your clock, one, two, three, between each time it happens, and know for sure. but the others insist on keeping you a busy rabbit, and so your count is always getting broken and it remains a joyful surprise each time when you feel it. that's what it is, it takes you a few repeats to put a word to the sensation of it blooming through your chest, joy.
so you continue letting it catch you unawares, ducking out of gunfire and leaving papers unfinished when you feel it.
the overlap, the moment when she enters inside you- everyone on the Outside passes through you, of course, that comes with the role same as paperwork and assassinations, but not like this. you don't pay attention to just anyone, you dont savor the weight of everyone's footsteps falling second by second, just hers. the sounds spoken that echo inside you, such as-
"I love this part of the day."
love! love, this mysterious Outsider said it plain as day in the garden under a tree that she loves you, forever having been spoken between 3:00 and 3:59, curses on whichever of the others were blessed with the final syllable of "oh, it's getting la-", those foul, dirty people don't appreciate it, don't deserve it.
"No, I'm not missing out on anything," she reassures her sister another time. "This is my favorite time of the week," sweet on your tongue, warm throughout your body. you're her favorite.
given to you is her name, Alice Liddell, and her sister's name, lorina, only important as far as she is important to Alice. given to you is discussion of several books, only mattering if Alice liked them. The odd interloper, a younger sister sometimes, occasionally a man not at all worth the looks Alice gives him and the furtive handholding, hushed debates on whether there's time for a kiss while the sister goes inside to bring out a snack or a deck of cards or a board game. inside you, sitting heavy like a greasy meal, is the end of that relationship, Alice Liddell wiping her tears before her sister can see, wiping her hand on the grass at 3:25 according to her watch, at 3:26 laughing shakily at a small bunny hopping through the yard and grazing on the grass, greedily tasting her tears on your actual tongue in addition to digesting them directly into the hour. so this is heartbreak. you wouldn't make her cry like that.
sometimes she's in you but she isn't yours, another new feeling you're learning, a bitterness. you hadn't realized it wouldn't be enough just to be together until you felt the frustration of her attention divided, turned away from talking about how much she loves (loves, in her own words!) you, how nice the weather is or how glad she is to be safe at home when it isn't. occasionally her shine is dulled under the costume of a student, or more often in simple clothes in what looks like an office somewhere, answering phones, carrying heavy boxes and unpacking them onto shelves. scribbling with a red pen on stacks of paper, and-
oh! she's drawn a rabbit! you should never have doubted where her thoughts were, just because she was given roles to play doesn't mean her love has dimmed! don't be a hypocrite, you tell yourself, you have your own work to do as well, but it doesn't mean she isn't always on your mind.
she must know you're watching. she must have felt the embrace of the hour she's in and wrote her love letter to you deliberately, where you could see it. some guy looks over her shoulder, (disgusting, say the word my beloved i'll kill him), to tell her she's "a good drawer", which she modestly denies. you savor it, the time- 3:52 according to the clock on her wall- wrapped fiercely around her. you hug her tight as long as you possibly can, until the minute hand points straight upwards and hour hand fully hits the 4. her drawing of you is burned into your eyes even after she has slipped away.
unlike yourselves, outsiders change. uncontrollably, even. you've peeked ahead- you know how it will end. the sparkle in her eyes dulled as she sits alone under the tree. her sister no longer joins her. you duck back into the safety of the happy times, but you know there are only so many of them left.
you wish she would tell you what's wrong. it's making your stomach twist- it's scaring you, you put a name to the feeling, you are worried for her.
"she wants you."
that's nightmare's report back from checking things out in his own time, and you can barely understand the meaning of the words, you're so jealous. not just her life but her thoughts are known to him, what you'd give for that, if you didn't need him you'd kill him right here-
"hey, hey, if anyone should be jealous here it's me! she's crying out for you, remember."
"she is?"
"not on the outside. but in her heart. for the golden afternoons, the time spent with her sister inside you."
she wants you. she misses you. she's embarassed to tell you directly but she wants you.
down the hole you go, taking her deeper and deeper inside you. the hole like a mouth, swallowing her up, so that no matter the time period now you will always feel her weight within the bounds of a beautiful sunday afternoon, gently pressing in on her as she tries to expand outward, remember, catch up to her proper time. it's not her fault, of course, you're the ones bending her into an unnatural shape, she'll struggle until she sets.
as for actually putting your mouth on her- it's the only way!! well, that's...
no time to reflect on how that feels. your darling angel has punched you in the face.
NOTES:
written around the core concept of "is being inside a roleholders hour like they vored you? (or maybe its mroe of a womb thing...?)" , ive definitely strayed from that here but that's quite alright. sorry if peter pov like is too freaky or something lol. i think i kind of held it a bit restrained pulledback but still. i hope i got across that its peters (nonliteral) first day being alive and hes figuring out what emotions are as he goes. he also does not actually grasp 'age', 'growth', or 'life stages', understanding alice to be occasionally filling the role of a student or a worker as opposed to like..... she was literally in school and had a job. he doesn't get it. it's up to you whether alice actually meant what she said verbally about loving the time spent with lorina or if it was just to make her happy, or if perhaps it was a Secret Third Thing. usually in a fantasy setting with a sort of emotional bodydissociation kind of thing id go hard on the emotional mindmeld but with peter (and all roleholders except nightmare) i think its actually completely opaque to him- he has NO idea about her inner world, only what he can interpret from her actions, expressions, and speech. he certainly didn't understand at first that in the frilly dress with lorina was not where she felt most 'herself'. he also of course has no concept of 'peter white' being seen by an outsider as a different entity than 'the white rabbit' and '3:00'. okay im back. forgot 2 hit post. weighing "odd little world, arbitrary days" vs the title i currently have and in the process from being on dylan kanner's bandcamp page watching jonni phillips' secrets and lies in a town of sinners s1 in its entirely save for the barber westchester movie. anyway. the title is from blood from the concrete by the scary jokes, which i think peter sees as him to alice but alice would be horrified if she knew he saw their relationship in that way. anyway so this is just a little doodle of a fic. happy new years!

Alice Liddells realisation
Through Alice’s time in wonderland, she had spent the majority of it figuring out her past, the poor girl was haunted by her memories of the fire. She was adamant it was all her fault and tried to plead guilty the first few months at Rutledge asylum but in the end. She was just another patient for them to feed off financially.
Alice awoke once more from her sweat ridden bed in a state of panic and despair, another nightmare, she put her feet on the cold wooden floor and closed her eyes. “Centaurs in Oxford, lizzie’s sleep talking, the library’s fire, Dinah, centaurs centaurs cENTAURS CENTAURS” Alice’s eyes shot open as she gritted her teeth. Her memories cleared and she remembered her nightmare. Clear as day, there stood Lizzie. Draped in a red gown, surrounded by oozing tentacles and a variety of human remains. The stench was potently retched and she stood before her once inviting and sweet older sister. Now displayed a foul Queen of hearts, Alice felt inferior to her sister, a feeling she had never felt before.
One quote from Lizzie stuck with Alice as she spoke “Centaurs don’t live in Oxford, and that wasn’t Lizzie talking in her sleep”. Alice thought and thought about that quote for a moment before her head started spinning and she felt nauseated, she took some deep breaths and slowly sat up from her bed. She looked over to the corner of her room towards her mirror, her nightgown draped over her malnourished and pale body, her hair swept to one side and placed neatly on her shoulder. Alice walked towards her wardrobe and set out her daily work wear, her black skirt, black and white striped long sleeved top, her black tights and lastly her apron. Everything was either ripped or stained but she didn’t mind because in her dreams she can wear beautiful gowns and dresses all she pleases. Alice was a fan of daydreaming, until the fire. Now it seems all of her daydreams turn into nightmares or hallucinations.
Once dressed and her hair was brushed Alice walked out of her bedroom and across the hall, the children mocking her as she walked. It was a daily routine for the children to be rude and disrespectful towards Alice, despite all her hard work to look after them and keep them from getting hurt. Somewhere deep inside Alice she enjoyed seeing the children happy, sometimes on a Sunday she would sit with them and make toys and drawings with them. Until one of them gets taken away by him.
Angus Bumby. A therapist and father figure to many of the children in this dump they call an orphanage. She hated him, she didn’t know why. But she knew something wasn’t right, however she still continued to get help and run errands for him.
Alice went on about her day, sweeping the children’s rooms and whistling to herself all while thinking of her nightmare. “ALICE” a voice boomed around the room towards her ears in a sharp tone. She whipped her head around with an annoyed look on her face and realised the tall skinny figure in the doorway was in fact Dr. Angus Bumby. “Yes? Sir”. She put her head down in fear. She may of hated him but she was terrified. “Follow me to my office. Please.” He waved his hand gesturing for Alice to follow him. She did as he asked and walked behind him like a lost puppy. As they stepped into his office, the smell of stale books and smoke from outside hit her. She let out a small cough and sat down in the chair. “Sir, i don’t believe i have to forget today” she looked up to lanky man leaning against his desk. He looked down “no no. None of that today Alice, I merely require an errand for you to run”. Alice let out an annoyed huff and crossed her arms “and what, prey tell would you like me to do?” Dr. Bumby put one hand into his jacket pocket and pulled out a variety of different keys on one ring. He sorted through them and Alice studied them very carefully up until she noticed one, one that stood out to her. One that she had seen before.
“Lizzie…” she breathed out and looked at Dr. Bumby with a face that could only be described as disgusted with fear. “What nonsense are you mumbling about this time Alice?” He was taken back a bit when Alice stood up and snatched the keys out of his hand, quickly rummaging them to get to her sisters bedroom door key. “THIS IS LIZZIES KEY” she held it up in front of his face. All in a flash, the memories came back. “…the centuars. Lizzie was right. Oxford doesn’t have… centaurs… she wasn’t sleep talking. The shadow. The key. YOU” she looked towards Bumby and stood up. She may of been shorter than him but in the moment of pure anger and disbelief she didn’t bare that in mind much.
Alice clutched her stomach as her breathing got heavier and quicker. Tears filled her eyes. “You did it. I TRUSTED YOU. AND YOU DID IT…”. She stood there. Mindlessly while her thoughts raced through her mind.
I lived with him
I took advice from him
I was under the same roof with my sisters attacker
The children. Oh the children.
“You monster”
To be continued….
Thank you so much for this request! I had a lot of fun writing it!! If anyone wants a continued version of my little story please let me know!

DCA Info Part 17: Futterwacken Dorm 🐰🫖🎩
Tumblr media
Futterwacken (フッターワッケン寮, Futtāwakken Ryō) was founded on the Wonders (不思議) of the Curious Explorer and is inspired by the world of Alice in Wonderland. Students of this dorm excel in Magic History and follow the absurd rules of the Mad Hatter.
Dorm Founder: Alice
Tumblr media
Known in-universe as the Curious Explorer (好奇の探検家).
Dorm Crest
Tumblr media
The dorm crest features a frame with a pink outline and purple interior. The frame features a silhouette of the Mad Hatter's tea party. There is additionally a banner with the dorm's name on it. On top of the frame is a clock with a light yellow outline and Roman numerals and the interior of the clock features pink and purple stripes. On top of the clock is a rabbit head with it's inner ears being pink in color. On both sides of the picture frame are rose bushes with two red roses and one white rose. There are also flamingos on both sides with the left one being pink and the right one being blue.
Dorm Leader: Allison Liddel
Tumblr media
Futterwacken's current dorm leader is Allison Liddel, a rebellious prankster with a love of exploring.
Dorm Fairy: Sui
Tumblr media
Sui (スイ, Sui) is Futterwacken's dorm fairy and vice dorm leader. She is described as being good at entertaining. She pops out from everywhere, she only resides in one teapot but finding it is hard unless you're the dorm leader. The teapots in the dorm follow her command and would listen to her when the dorm leader isn't around. Sui loves to play pranks on people.
Her current appearance is based on Allison's childhood love for nursery rhymes and Sui's appearance is based on her personal favorite, The Walrus and the Carpenter. This nursery rhyme was the one that her mother always read to her and Maddison. Alison felt sorry for the little oysters so much as a child that she refused to eat when they were served at dinner. It was a funny memory for Allison.
Dorm Living Quarters
• The Futterwacken dorm living quarters is described as resembling a mansion with the exterior is decorated with singing flowers that greet students with a tune. They are often used as a pet project by the professors. The process of raising it is quite difficult though, it needs specific procedures and fertilizers if you want a certain musical piece.
• The most bizarre thing you could find in the dorm living quarters is the floating teapots. They have a design on the body that indicate which tea is in the pot. Nobody knows what makes them float but no one's going to find out anyway and the tea inside the pot is affected by the teapots emotions. If it feels anything negative, the tea will taste like swamp water. So the students of the dorm make sure to keep the pots at high spirits by polishing them and being polite.
• The building may look small on the outside but inside it has a staircase that leads downwards onto several rooms and doors. One could easily get lost if they don't memorize which door leads to their destination. The students use their own clocks or watches to tell time. The clocks in the Futterwacken dorm living quarters only ring at 3 o'clock and it's when the teapots start to float frantically.
• Instead of the Queen of Hearts rules, they follow the rules of the Mad Hatter. But this only applies to tea time and nothing else. However, the rules are so absurd that it looks like it was written by a madman.
Futterwacken Doors
The dorm has several doors that lead to random places all over Twisted Wonderland. Most doors have a unique design that can give away clues to the location it leads to, but then there are times that some doors would change positions in the building, depending on the time or day a certain door may change it's usual spot. Regarding, MG Genie's VIP parties that may be accessed through one of these doors is a mystery even to the Futterwacken students. The door to the VIP party is a golden door that has an Arabian design with a golden MG letters engraved on the door. The door has the color scheme of the Mad Hatter (Teal and Yellow) with a 10/6 quarters sign on the front. The doorknob is sentient and talks in riddles, the dorm leader and the dorm fairy know how to translate and answer the riddles asked by the doorknob. Most of them don't make sense but that's the point, it's all nonsense. Once the door has been unlocked it leads to a whimsical world of plants with curly leaves and teacups growing out of them and the scent of tea wafting in the air. The Hatter Pots are odd with unique colors and shapes, some have more than one spout, some have a square-shaped body.
Hatter Day
• In similar fashion to Heartslabyul with their "Unbirthday Party", Futterwacken also has its own party. It's called, Hatter Day (ハッター・デー).
• An extravagant yet unusual tea party held on Saturday on the first week of the month. Students have to wear hats they have to make themselves and wear wonderland themed clothing to match with their hats. Some of them sew the clothes on their own while others go to Glastanzerin to request a commission.
• They hold the party in from of the dorm, with an very long table in the garden. The singing flowers are placed as the centerpieces and the floating teapots come out and whistle to the tune.
• But the best part of Hatter Day is the "Great Teapot Hunt". Within the dorm's many doors, there is a unique door that only shows up on Hatter Day, it bears the mark of the Mad Hatter and has a talking doorknob. If one enters this door they are lead to a bright colored forest with teacups growing out of bushes and the scent of tea is everywhere.
• Students here would spot the wild teapots called, Hatter Pots (Allison jokingly refers to them as "Crackpots"). These teapots don't look normal, they have the oddest of shapes and colors and most importantly, they are very chaotic to catch. But the reason why they catch them is the tea contained within. It holds odd flavors but they are considered a golden opportunity to try the most bizarre tea flavors out there. The way these wild Hatter Pots don't work the same as the ones in the dorm. They open their lids and mimic the action of "consuming" tea leaves to make the tea. And they clean themselves in a nearby fountain that spouts soap water and is surrounded by dogs with brushes for faces and students are allowed to only catch ONE. And the reason why every student participates is because for some odd reason, the Hatter Pots serve tea to those who caught them only, they won't serve anyone else. • The Hatter Pots are only around for Hatter Day. When the tea party ends, they disappear in an explosion of glitter and fireworks while whistling an odd tune. They teleport back to their domain and go about their little teapot business.
• It's a much less organized yet eccentric event for the students. A contrast to the detailed and very organized unbirthday party at Heartslabyul.
Secrets
The reason why Futterwacken is a special dorm is because of the doors it has inside, it could lead to places in Twisted Wonderland, or perhaps ... A doorway to other dimensions such as the world the protagonist came from.
Why do the students of this dorm have keys instead of gem brooches? Maybe they are the ones who can navigate through these doors without getting stuck? Allison's unique magic has its limits. So she has her dorm keys to help her travel. Maybe that's why there's very few students in this dormitory.
Rules of the Mad Hatter
• No mustard! (No explanation, just no mustard!)
• In case of a Mad Watch please strike with mallet.
• One must always have Butter!
• Oysters must be kept away from the Walrus at all times!
• If one must tell stories, one must sing it.
• There's no order to sit but one must be careful which chair is hexed.
• If it's no one's birthday, one must bring an unbirthday gift!
• At the end of the tea party, there must be a cake that will fly up and explode into fireworks.
Etymology
The dorm's name derives from the word "Futterwacken", the name of the Tarrant Hightopp's favorite dance in Tim Burton's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, which was released in 2010.

Happy Birthday Squid!
@gaydragonwizards As per your request to actually see the moment that Beckett spooked Nines during the last-minute prep before the Nines/Arianna wedding (as per its mention in our old RP stuff) -- well, here's exactly that. XD Enjoy!
--
And lo, here I stand, an observer to that most strange and bizarre of rituals conceived by either mortal or kindred-kind...the wedding.
Beckett lounged in his corner, watching the goings-on around him with the air of someone doing his best to stay invisible so he wasn’t asked to hold a centerpiece or tie ribbons to a chair or anything else of that nature. Not that there’s an abundance of frilliness, he noted. You can see Arianna’s touch everywhere, of course, but – well. It still feels like an Anarch wedding. Goodness, Damsel isn’t even wearing a dress! He smirked. Shame – I would have paid good money to see her stuffed into the traditional wretched bridesmaid gown. And even better money to be well outside the blast radius when she finally got out of it. I suppose Arianna and Nines decided it was easier to allow her to wear something more to her own tastes, rather than get an earful. He glanced around the room. Where is Arianna? I mean, obviously getting primped and prepped, but I can’t discern the location of said primping and prepping. I do want to say hello before everything kicks off...
“Hey, Nines! Shouldn’t you be getting into the monkey suit?”
“I will in a sec, I just gotta double-check these seating arrangements. Bianca said Isaac just showed up, and if he ends up anywhere near Strauss...”
“I’d be more concerned about VV – she’s probably going to be making kissy faces in Strauss’s general direction all night.”
“I know, I know, but – that’s just a cross we’re gonna have to bear.”
“Good thing crosses don’t actually work on us!”
“Yeah, yeah, har, har...”
Beckett chuckled. At least the groom is easy to locate, he thought, watching as Nines intercepted an Anarch to fix a centerpiece before repositioning some chairs. If you can keep up with him – insert joke about Brujahs and Celerity here. I suppose he’s doing rather well for himself under the circumstances. Funny that he hasn’t noticed my presence, though. I would have taken him for a bit more perceptive than that. A sly smile curled his lips. I wonder...
Beckett slowly stood up straight, easing himself along the wall so he stayed out of Nine’s immediate line of sight. Then, after a moment’s examination of the hustle and bustle, he started forward, carefully easing his way through the crowd toward his prey. Most of the other Kindred present paid him little mind, too caught up in their various tasks – though one Alice Liddell spotted him and raised an eyebrow. Beckett gave her a nod and a smile before continuing his journey toward the harried Baron (now checking his watch for unknown schedule-related reasons). Closer...closer...and – “I think there have been wars fought with less planning.”
Nines nearly jumped right out of his skin, which was quite gratifying. Even more gratifying was the fact that he didn’t immediately try to punch his lights out. “Beckett! Fucking hell,” he groaned, pressing a hand quite unnecessarily to his chest. “When the fuck did you learn how to move so quietly?”
“Given the amount of fuss that’s going on, an elephant could sneak through this room and no one would be the wiser,” Beckett responded, grinning. “I just thought I’d say hello, offer my congratulations.”
“And somehow give me a heart attack?” Nines replied, giving him a look before shaking his head. “The congrats are appreciated, though. I’m glad you were able to make it – Arianna wouldn’t have liked doing this without you.”
“And who am I not to indulge my adopted childe from time to time?” Beckett asked with a little smile. “Besides, this may be a night of great historical import, if both Anarchs and Camarilla are in attendance here. Or did I mishear when you said ‘Strauss?’”
“You didn’t, though I wish you had,” Nines groaned. “The fucking politics – Arianna can fill you in on more of the details, but the short version is we’re not in a position to tell the Tremere to fuck off, so he gets to watch me get married.” He shook his head. “You and your recorder are gonna have a fun night.”
“You accuse me of wanting to record your wedding?” Beckett gasped, covering his mouth theatrically.
“No, I’m stating a fucking fact and guessing the damn thing is already on.”
“It isn’t, actually – I don’t think we need a record of you yelling about seating arrangements,” Beckett admitted, looking at his pocket. “Later...we’ll see.”
“Yeah, well, just don’t make any snarky notes about our vows or anything.” Nines jerked his thumb toward a door. “Arianna’s that way if you wanna say hello – I gotta go get dressed myself, before Alice physically drags me into the room,” he added, glancing over Beckett’s shoulder.
“I leave you to Miss Liddell’s tender mercies,” Beckett said, moving in the direction Nines had pointed. “However many she has.”
“Asshole. Remember to compliment Arianna’s dress!”
“Noted!” Beckett chuckled as he made for the door. “This will indeed be a night to remember...”

[Translation] Clover no Kuni no Alice: White Calling Light Novel - Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Summary
After moving to the Country of Clover, Alice is working as a maid while residing at Hatter Mansion. Worried that Alice will be led astray by the voices of the mysterious doors in the forest, the Prime Minister of Heart Castle, the White Rabbit Peter, persistently invites her everyday, ‘I want you to come to the Castle so we can be together forever.’ At the same time, while meetings are being held at the Tower of Clover, Alice ends up getting dragged into a fight between mafia—!?
Act 1 - It began with a white calling
Clack.
As she shut the door behind her, Alice breathed a sigh.
'Sheesh…..Peter's such a pain. Even though I won't change my answer no matter how many times he comes.'
Recalling the White Rabbit who had intruded into the garden at the Hatter Mansion not long before, Alice Liddell dropped her shoulders. Despite the long ears attached to his head, that rabbit never, never listened to what she said. It was a given she'd be fed up.
'Although, I suppose it wouldn't be Peter if he did listen obediently.'
Remembering his back when he left the garden as three of the role holders at the Hatter Mansion returned fire, she shrugged.
'............'
While sighing, she directed a quick glance towards the scenery in the garden that was visible from her window.
The large table she could see below was a favourite item of the Mansion's owner. Likely because it was the daytime period when the skies were still blue, there was no one sitting in the chairs.
She hadn't forgotten. When she had first been invited to the Mansion, it had been that table she had used.
The master of the Mansion was fickle and moody. Especially when it came to tea, he was fussy to the point that he wouldn't listen no matter what was said to him, and yet strangely he continued to use the same table without ever replacing it.
She wasn't sure of the reason why, but to Alice it was almost like a commemorative item, so it made her feel a little happy.
'Now then, time to get ready for work…..being late just because Peter came is inexcusable.'
She moved from the window and walked towards the closet she had been provided with. When she opened it, there was a white maid outfit hanging inside. They were the work clothes that she had been given for her own use during her stay at the Mansion.
As she took out the white outfit, Alice was laughing a little.
'Even though I've got my job, so of course I can't just go live somewhere else…..really,  that rabbit doesn't listen to what people say at all. And he's got such long ears too…..Elliot's the same, I wonder if all rabbits are just like that.'
Alice was still a newcomer to the Mansion. Even if her job was but that of an apprentice maid, work was work. She wanted to do a good job of fulfilling her role.
Whilst there might be changes due to the move, those thoughts still remained the same.
'............'
As that particular word came into her mind, Alice frowned a little.
She turned her gaze towards the vast grounds of the Mansion. Beyond it, unable to be seen from Alice's room, lay a green Forest.
The Forest of Doors, that whispered to the lost.
'.....This is the place I belong, isn't it…..?'
As Alice spoke as if to tell herself that, she untied her white apron, and as she put a hand to her blue dress…..stopped moving, as if she had realized something.
'It'd be better if I left this in my room after all…..I don't think it'll get broken, but just in case.'
Something hard, that had been in her pocket. Something that she had grown used to touching, to the point she knew what it was just by feeling the outside.
What she took out from her clothing was a small vial with a heart shaped stopper. Likely because it was made of glass, the contents within were visible.
However, unlike its transparent vessel, the fluid inside was somewhat cloudy.
'.............'
Compared to before, she thought that she no longer gazed at the glass vial quite as often.
But even so—unconsciously, there were times when she would put it into her pocket without thinking. The first time she had looked at this small bottle as she was doing now, had been right at the time she had fallen into this world.
A tall tower that looked down over the Country of Hearts. The one who had been there with her at that place, was that White Rabbit.
'.....Let's stop reminiscing.'
As memories of forcibly being made to drink the bitter medicine came into her mind, Alice shook her head from left to right.
There was no doubt she was better off not remembering unpleasant memories.
She put the item that made a small sploshing noise each time she picked it up, away in her drawer. And, after once more putting a hand to her blue dress, she continued changing into her maid outfit.
She smoothed down her skirt, and tied the large ribbon around her waist. After lastly placing a small hat on her head as the finishing touch, her preparations were complete.
'.....Alright, all done.'
As she checked her reflection in the mirror and nodded, almost as if it had been waiting for Alice to finish changing, the colour of the sky changed.
The sky that should have been bright blue, was now displaying the dark blue of night.
'Now, I'd better get going.'
After lightly fluttering out the voluminous skirt of her maid outfit, the girl headed for the door.
The light that shone in from the window from which she had been looking down onto the garden a moment ago had now become a faint moonlight.
At this point, Alice was no longer surprised at the sudden change that had occurred in the sky just now.
The time periods in this world changed irregularly. It wasn't unusual for night to follow straight after noon. As to be expected, this was a world in which no one knew how long the night would continue on, or if it would completely change in an instant.
That was the kind of world Alice had decided to remain in.
'I'm off.'
Facing the small bottle she had left in the room, Alice spoke those words, then gently closed the door behind her.
In the now empty room, only the shadows of the night quietly spread out.
***
Soft-looking, without a single trace of dirt— a white pure like snow.
A gingham checkered coat scattered with vivid shades of red.
What stood out to her the first time she saw him were those two overly intense colours.
If it were just the colours themselves, it was likely they were not all that unusual, even in reality.
However…..if the one wearing them was an existence impossible in reality, then that was a different matter altogether.
'............'
A rabbit wearing clothes, walking on two legs. Precisely speaking, it wasn't just clothes, he was a rabbit that wore glasses as well, and was even carrying a large pocket watch.
'A rabb-...whaa-!?'
Judging from the long ears growing from its head, and the bushy tail…..at any rate, it seemed that the creature that had appeared in the garden at the Liddell's house where Alice lived was a rabbit, no matter how you looked at it. On top of that, he was running on his hind legs. Not temporarily standing on two legs, but walking on two feet like a human. It was something that was ordinarily impossible.
As she got up despite herself, she grimaced at the sudden pain in her head. It was a headache. It might be due to low blood pressure. Even though she had just gotten up, she felt as if she were about to sink back down to the ground at the feeling of dizziness that enveloped her whole body.
However, Alice quickly determined that this situation was a dream. She once more lay on her side on the ground and decided to close her eyes.
To decide that there was absolutely no way such a creature was real, or that it would appear in her garden, one could say that this was a verdict that was very like her, who was a realist.
(Oh dear, I must have fallen asleep….while I was waiting for my big sister…..)
Her sister, who had gone to the storage room to look for the playing cards, must not have returned yet. Ever since her mother had passed away, all leisure items had fallen into disuse and been put away somewhere in the recesses of the storage room, her sister must surely be having a hard time finding them.
Those had been her thoughts as she closed her eyes, but the unfading sound of light footsteps urged her on.
(That being said…..to dream something like this, I must be pretty tired.)
A dream of a rabbit restlessly running through the garden. She wondered what kind of state of mind she must be in to have caused such a thing. She would have to ask her big sister, who had recently gotten into psychology.
As she opened her eyes just a little, she could see that the creature, who was white all the way down to his short legs, was staring at her for some reason. The vivid red eyes looked a little stern.
‘.....Hey, you there! This is the part where you’re supposed to chase after me, isn’t it!? Why are you ignoring me!? You have to chase after the rabbit, right?’
‘............’
Not only was he wearing clothes and running, this rabbit could talk. The more worked up the rabbit became, the colder the consciousness of the girl lying on her side grew.
Ah, I wish my big sister would hurry up and come back already.
‘.....Zzzzz….’
When she did, she would be able to wake from this dream.
As she tried once again to give into the heaviness of her eyelids, a pitter patter sound echoed from nearby. It seemed as if the rabbit was kicking the ground with its feet as if frustrated. To hear such a comical sound, that had to be a dream for you. More and more, this seemed to be a fairytale-like world that was quite unlike her.
'Hey! You've got a gloomy future ahead if you're gonna be so apathetic while you're still so young!'
Even as the rabbit scolded her, Alice kept her eyes closed.
She had a feeling that if she opened her eyes and met the gaze of this rabbit once more…..something even worse was going to happen. And in times like these, a girl's instincts were never wrong. Alice was still of an age where she could be called a girl, but she had accumulated enough life experience that she was able to tell this much.
However, it did not appear that the annoyed rabbit beside her had noticed her state of mind. It continued to stamp its feet— although she could not see it, from the sound she could tell without a doubt, and— raised its voice.
'Please don't ignore me! Come, you must chase me!'
'...Zz…'
Alice, who had decided to continue to feign sleep until she woke up from this strange dream, purposely continued to ignore the rabbit—then, involuntarily opened her eyes at the sudden feeling of floating that enveloped her.
'..............? Whaaaa-!?'
She let out a yell at the fluffy long things covered in fur.
The muffler-like things that had suddenly appeared in front of her eyes were standing straight up towards the sky, as if firmly supported by something in the center of them.
An animal's ears— that's right, they were the ears of the rabbit that had been agitating her just a moment ago. The size of them was different of course, but she wasn't able to think of any other creature who had such long ears.
'Eeeeehhhh!?'
'Please don't shout in my ears.'
From below the surprised Alice, red eyes looked up at her as if a little troubled. It was the rather well-proportioned face of an intellectual-type looking young man. However, his ears were the long ones of a rabbit.
Deep red eyes that were without a speck of impurity gazed at her fixedly.
The youth with looks of a kind that weren't often seen was carrying her in a sideways position. Perhaps this was what one would call the 'princess carry'. Although, unlike the princesses in picture books, the difference was she didn't have her arms wrapped around his neck.
'............'
For a girl of marriageable age, this might be the sort of situation to make her heart pound despite herself. Unfortunately, the long pure white ears made a complete waste of it all.
'Ah, I'm sorry…..anyway, hurry up and let me down.'
Alice had unthinkingly apologised to the voice that sounded as if he had been inconvenienced.
If she thought about it more, she had suddenly been picked up by a man that she did not know. Of course she would be angry, and despite it not being necessary for her to apologise, she'd ended up doing so somewhat reflexively.
Without taking notice of what Alice had said, the young man continued as before and without preamble…..said something terrifying.
'I shall let you down when we arrive. Alright, here we go.'
His voice as he answered her remained in her memory even now.
Alice had been brought to this mysterious country by force.
No matter how many times she recalled it, her encounter with him had been the absolute worst.
Stolen away as she was taking a nap. Brought to an unknown land.
Made to drink a strange and extremely bitter medicine mouth to mouth.
She had instinctively clenched her fist hard and punched him, and even if she did say so herself, she thought her counterattack back then was only a natural one.
'"Back then"....I must say, I was surprised, myself. I had not thought you would be someone so quick to violence.'
When the time she had come to the Country of Hearts became the topic of conversation, those had been the thoughts expressed by the perpetrator himself.
The first time they had met he had been nothing but a kidnapper to her, but now she had grown to know him a little better.
The name of her kidnapper was Peter White. His alias in this world was 'the White Rabbit.' It was a name that matched his appearance exactly. If one were to say it was easy to understand, then perhaps that was true.
She also knew that the youth with the very handsome face served as Prime Minister at Heart Castle.
At first she had wondered if someone as strange as he was fit for such an important role, but it hadn't taken her long after arriving in this country to realise that there was a difference in her judgements and the values of those around her.
The Prime Minister of Heart Castle was truly both capable and cruel. Apparently, his appearance as he indifferently carried out his government duties, together with his colour tone, gave him a reputation of even being aloof.  Although, whenever she saw him as he appeared out of nowhere calling her name, he didn't seem like that way to her at all.
"Alice, I love you. You are the only one I love. I do not care for anyone else…..I am happy so long as you remain in this world."
Because, I love you.
Whenever she heard Peter's confessions of love, she couldn't help but think of a broken record. At any rate, he was persistent in telling her he loved her, like a record going round and round. Even if she tried to question him further, he would say something incomprehensible like 'There are no explanations necessary when it comes to love', and that was always the end of it.
'Ah, Alice, how sweet you are, how lovely. I love you, you're the only one I really love.'
'Yeah yeah…..I know.'
Alice didn't think the words of love that were on repeat and rewind were lies.
The White Rabbit who lived in Heart Castle was obsessed with cleanliness, that was a well known fact in this country. If you were a person he hated, it was likely you would not even be able to get close to him. It wouldn't be unusual to get shot instead.
And not just that…..Alice didn't see what value she had that he would tell a lie just to keep her here. If he thought that simply saying the sweet words 'I love you' were enough to have her remain here, one could say that that was a plan that had already failed.
—I've already had enough of romance.—
Every time she heard Peter tell her he loved her, she was sighing on the inside.
The end of her one and only previous romance had been a fitting one for someone such as her. That was why.
The person Alice had fallen in love with, and the person she had wanted to love her, had had his heart stolen by someone else.
The person he had fallen in love with was perfect, someone with whom she could not even hope to compete.
The memories of her first love were even now deeply ingrained in her mind.
Due to her experiences, she knew that romance was nothing but a waste of energy.
She wanted to become someone independent, who could live on her own without relying on others. She wondered at what point she had come to strongly feel that way.
In that mindset, despite there being no possibility of keeping her here with those sweet words, Peter repeated them again and again.
Almost in place of a greeting, he would smile saying 'I love you', his cold gaze changing to one of great joy as he looked at her.
A stalker-like rabbit man, with whom she had started off on the worst possible terms. Even though there was no way she ought to have been able to become friendly with someone like that….
It had been a certain daytime period—after she had grown used to going to see him after countless repeated visits.
‘Hello there, Peter.’
‘Ah! Alice, you’ve come to see me again! I’m so happy, I love you!’
Each time she visited Heart Castle, the White Rabbit would always pop up as if out of nowhere, his face full of smiles.
She had grown used to this red country with its constant flying bullets, and it was no longer unusual for Peter to invite her to have tea whenever she saw him at the Castle.
Every time she saw him always looking cheerful as he greeted her, Alice thought that she felt happy.
With a beautiful smile, his face expressing his joy, Peter called out her name, ‘Alice, Alice.’
‘These tea leaves are ones her Majesty had brought in from far away. It does not seem she has used any yet, but I think this tea would much rather prefer to be drunk by you instead.’
‘.....Vivaldi will be angry….’
‘Do not worry. After all, even when nothing has happened, she is always in a bad mood anyway. It won’t make any difference at all if she is a little displeased.’
The Prime Minister of Heart Castle, who was spoken of as coldhearted, without fail always came to see her whenever she made her appearance at the Castle.
At those times, he invited her for tea, led her to his room…..he devotedly took care of Alice, who was a guest unfitting for a Prime Minister to entertain in person.
In this world, Alice was a special existence called an ‘Outsider.’ Though she was called special, from her point of view, it wasn’t as if she could use magic or had any special knowledge, but apparently all people that came from an outside world were called thus.
Not just that— the existences known as Outsiders, while powerless and with low combat ability….had the characteristics to be loved by the inhabitants of this world.
“Most people here will come to love you the more you get to know them.”
Smiling smugly, that had been what the sickly looking dream demon had said in the dreams she had had since arriving at the Country of Hearts.
No matter who, it was a given you would feel more sympathetic towards someone the deeper your relationship grew. However, before they came to like you, you might be killed. That was the kind of dangerous world this place was.
However, it seemed there was always an exception to everything.
'............'
Even though they weren't even acquaintances when she had first come to this world, he had behaved favourably towards her from the beginning.
Though Alice didn't know him, he had spoken to her as if he already knew her and—had led her to this world.
Today, the ears of the young man waiting on her were standing straight up, he seemed to be in an extremely good mood. Just like he had when she had first come to this world.
Alice had of course only ever seen what Peter was like when he was with her. She had never seen what his face looked like, or how he acted, when she was not there.
'Right, here you are. Sorry for making you wait.'
'.....Thank you, Peter.'
On the red castle grounds, in the garden where red roses bloomed proudly, red eyes gazed at her happily.
Perhaps it had been these eyes she had been moved by. Alice had come to notice herself that the wariness that she should have had towards the White Rabbit, whom she had sent flying with a punch the first time they met, was gradually fading.
'Do you like it?'
Long ears aside, and the fact that he was a stalker who had kidnapped her, the reason she had ended up seeing him in a positive light…..might just because she had a weakness for good looks.
Tumblr media
'Yeah…it's delicious.'
A fragrance and sweetness that reminded her of flowers. Its rich flavour was only to be expected of an item belonging to the Queen, who was known as a great lover of tea.
As Alice nodded, the White Rabbit seemed even happier, his eyes narrowing in delight, but then as if he had suddenly remembered something he asked another question.
'Hey, Alice. I have heard that you visit that forest by yourself…..is that true?'
'.....There you go, saying stuff like a stalker again….'
For some reason, it seemed that this rabbit, who didn't lack for anything when it came to looks, rank or ability, knew a lot about Alice's movements. Apparently, he at times had a unit of soldiers tail her, sending them out to check in on her.
'What are you saying! Truth be told, I want to be with you always, forever!! Without having to leave it to those faceless, just I, myself, always! If something were to happen to you, my beloved…..Aah!'
'Nothing will happen so you don't need to worry.'
She belonged to a territory that adjoined Heart Castle. She couldn't say that she had never been caught up in a gun battle before now, but those had been mostly internal quarrels between members of the Mansion.
‘I think those rules of yours are far more violent. It’s not right to use those good-natured soldiers on something like that.’
‘Something like that!? By that, you mean….aah, you want me to always be by your side….not those soldiers, you want me to always be with you…..that’s it, isn’t it!’
‘...........’
Ah, it was useless after all, no matter what she said to this Rabbit.
Sighing as if exasperated, Alice drank down the rest of her tea. And once she had, Peter immediately poured her a refill. Even though he never listened to what she said, he was a Rabbit that was strangely diligent when it came to things like this.
While breathing a sigh of relief at the flower-like fragrance, she spoke to further press her point.
‘Thank you…..But, you know, you’re the Castle’s Prime Minister, so please don’t throw aside your work so easily.’
‘My work…..There is no way it could ever be as important as you.’
‘............’
Most likely, work didn’t have any particular meaning to the White Rabbit.
However, it was different for Alice.
The work she had been given as her role in the territory in which she was now staying was not something she could take lightly.
‘A role isn’t something to be tossed aside, Peter.’
‘If it means that much to you…..I shall not take breaks from work.’
The White Rabbit nodded his head as if disappointed, but quickly recovered.
‘Then, in exchange, I shall have those faceless stay close to you! Ah, but, relying on the likes of them should something happen is…..in that case, it is not really a situation to be happy about.’
‘.....That’s why I said, stop it with the stalking already…..’
Fed up with a conversation with Peter that never reached a resolution, Alice decided to change the subject.
‘Um….so we were talking about the Forest, weren’t we…..Boris and Pierce are there as well, so it’s not that unusual a thing to do, is it?’
‘....Perhaps….’
Hearing her answer, the White Rabbit slightly cast his eyes downwards. However his reaction wasn’t due to the sudden change of topic.
Nonetheless, this wasn’t the first time she had seen Peter frown like this.
It was an exchange they had repeated countless times before now.
When she had talked about having gone to the Amusement Park, he had lamented, ‘If you go to such a crowded and bacteria-ridden place as that, you’ll get dirty.’ It seemed that to the White Rabbit, everything but himself was covered with germs. He really was a bother.
If she were to tell him she had gone to the Forest just now, there was no doubt his response would be the same. That was what Alice had thought, but contrary to her expectations, he continued on in a subdued tone.
‘I think… that it is best for you not to go to that Forest. No, I do not want you to go.’
Listening to his mysterious words, that sounded almost as if…..he was afraid of something, Alice tilted her head in puzzlement.
'—Why?'
'Within your heart…..there is still hesitation is there not?'
The red eyes were looking at her chest. But, what his piercing gaze was aimed towards was the stubborn, vague thing called a heart, hidden beneath her skin.
There was still a remaining sense of responsibility smoldering away inside Alice, that made her feel that she had to return to her original world. Though she should have already decided that Hatter Mansion was the place where she belonged, even then…..it was the truth that she wasn't quite able to forget that peaceful afternoon where her sister awaited her.
'............'
As she searched for the words to make a response, he slowly shook his head from left to right.
Like he was troubled, or as if anxious…..that was the kind of look he directed towards her.
'Those who are hesitating cannot help but hear the voices of those doors. And—you may never be able to return here once you have gone where they lead you. That is the kind of thing they are.'
'Yeah…..I know.'
She had also heard about the doors in the Forest, as well as the ones in Clover Tower, from the knowledgeable master of the Mansion.
A person would be able to go to the place they most desired if they passed through one of the whispering doors. In exchange…..they would be unable to go to a place they least expected.
She knew that.
Even so, the reason a part of her heart was swayed by the doors' voices…..was because the things she had abandoned had just been too important.
'Alice, I am happy so long as you remain in this world. So I beg of you, please don't go anywhere.'
'.....I won't.'
Perhaps she was slightly slow to answer because she needed a little time to collect her resolve. Or, maybe it was because of the hesitation she couldn't completely erase, she wasn't sure which.
Nodding once more, Alice repeated herself.
'I won't go anywhere.'
'Yes, Alice. If you can become happy in this world…..that is the most important thing to me.'
At last seeing Peter's expression soften, Alice smiled.
Strangely, she did not dislike the gaze that looked at her as if she were something dazzling.
After all, this wasn't romance. This wasn't at all related to something so troublesome.
Because the 'like' he had for her was surely the same as the 'like' she had for him. Because despite the stalker-ish things he said, he had already become an important friend to her.
She didn't feel as if his words of love were to be taken at face value.
Because Peter's love, and the goodwill she felt, ought to be similar things. She wasn't so foolish as to disdain the concern of a friend.
'Sorry for making you worry. And..thank you, Peter.'
'Not at all.'
Being at his side was comfortable. She had ended up realising that.
As if she had returned to that afternoon, as if she were spending time with her older sister…..that comfortable feeling might be what brought Alice to this Castle so frequently.
'Hey, might I have another cup of tea?'
'Of course! As many as you like, with pleasure.'
A happy looking face. The ears that stood straight up were like snow left behind in the tranquil atmosphere. They were of such purity that one would almost hesitate to touch them.
A pure white without a single speck of dirt. The strands of his hair were also the same kind of white.
A White Rabbit that didn't want to be touched by anyone. It was an odd thing that despite being that way, the only one Peter drew close to was herself.
However, being touched by him wasn't an unpleasant feeling for Alice either.
'It's delicious.'
After all, he didn't lie to her. He hid neither his malice nor his good will. She already knew now that even if there were things he kept secret, he would not lie.
'For you to be happy…that is all that I want.'
A peaceful noon time period.
For Alice, going to meet the White Rabbit that awaited her at the red Castle was something irreplaceably precious.
***
The place Alice was staying at was called Hatter Mansion.
The Country of Hearts was divided into three large powers that were constantly battling each other for territory, the Hatter Family was an organization of such vast scale as to make up one of those territories.
The man who was the head of the Mansion was called by his alias, "The Hatter." Blood Dupre. He led the Mafia organization and wore a peculiar hat as if to match his other name. In any case, he was a man who hated both being bored and anything irksome, with a troublemaking personality that enjoyed messing around with those in his vicinity, so long as it amused him.
And then there was the person called his right hand man, “The March Hare”, Elliot March. Though he was likely the one most thrown about by Blood’s whims, he was devoted to his boss, and apparently didn’t see it as any hardship at all. Despite always being busy running around for his work, those around him knew all too well how his face would light up with happiness the moment he set eyes on carrot cake.
At the mansion also lived the violent gatekeepers who would play around with him like they were siblings. Their names were Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. However, publicly, they were more well known by their second name, “The Bloody Twins.” Swinging around axes that were taller than they were without any trouble, they loved violent games, and often invited Alice to play with them on their breaks.
Normally speaking, perhaps one might say they were altogether an excessively eccentric group for Alice, who was nothing more than a powerless young girl, to be living with. If anything, Alice couldn’t help but find it strange that she was allowed to stay with them just because she was an Outsider.
The first place she had visited once she had left the Clock Tower after having been taken to the Country of Hearts by Peter was this Mansion.
Almost about to be sliced to death by the dangerous gatekeepers and on the verge of being shot by a quick-tempered rabbit…..Luckily, due to a suggestion of their capricious Boss, Alice had come to live in the Mansion, where she still continued to stay even now.
Though this was a perilous world of flying bullets, Alice did not shut herself away in the Mansion.
This was likely because even people who were enemies of the Hatter did not involve Alice the Outsider in their territorial disputes.
Having become acquainted with each other, the leaders of the various territories welcomed her visits.
The unsociable Clockmaker and the lost Knight. The owner of the Amusement Park with his nonsensical music and the pink Cheshire Cat. The crimson Queen and—the White Rabbit that had pulled her into this world, also numbered among them.
However, that status quo had changed greatly due to the sudden move.
Alice, who had commenced her work once the uninvited Rabbit had been chased out of the garden, shifted her gaze.
‘............’
What she was looking at was a large window. It reflected herself wearing her white maid outfit. However, what Alice’s eyes were directed towards was beyond the glass.
Even though she knew that it wasn’t there…..she could help but unconsciously search for it.
Before, from this window that was the closest to the highest point of the Mansion, she had been able to see the Clock Tower where the always brusque Clockmaker lived. But now, no matter where she looked, she could no longer see it.
In its place, was land of a deep green and the shadow of a spire that struck up towards the heavens as if to tear through it.
The only thing the two places visibly had in common was an unclouded sky. Although even that might change depending on the fickleness of the shifting time periods.
'............'
In the same way that a clock hand moves, so too does the land. That is what moving meant in this world.
All people and buildings attached to each territory, including the land moved, and the Country also changed in unison with them.
In the previous Country of Hearts, there was Heart Castle, the Hatter Mansion, the Amusement Park, and the Clock Tower.
Now, a vast Forest stretched out where the Amusement Park once was, and in place of the Clock Tower, which had stood at the Country's centre, was the Clover Tower.
'.....I wonder how Julius and Gowland are doing.'
A sense of nostalgia welled up the moment she spoke the names of the friends that were now far away. Both of them had been important people to Alice.
When she had first been brought here by the White Rabbit, she had only ever thought of wanting to wake up, that she now worried over the well-being of this place's inhabitants was a strange thing.
‘Is there something interesting out there, young lady?’
‘! Blood!’
Perhaps because she had been concentrating so hard on the scenery outside, Alice turned around as if surprised by the voice that had suddenly called out to her.
As expected, she saw the shadow of a tall man wearing a black silk hat.
‘It is rare for you to lose focus while working…..did something out of the ordinary happen?’
Slightly tilting his hat, which was decorated with roses, feathers and place cards, the man smiled.
It was the sort of amused, meaningful smile that made you want to fill in the blanks despite yourself.
He was the leader of the Hatter Mansion territory, and also the Boss of the Family. Blood Dupre.
‘.....It’s nothing. I was just looking outside for a little bit.’
Normally, the likes of a maid-in-training would not be allowed to speak like this to the master of the Mansion. However, the person who hated anything tedious didn’t seem at all concerned, and instead vaguely tilted his head.
‘With such a melancholy looking face as that? I thought that perhaps your sweetheart might be out there, but it seems I was mistaken.’
‘Blood!’
She made her voice sound a little stern in response to his teasing, but the man’s amusement showed no signs of abating. His shoulders shaking, he replied with ‘I’m joking!’, but it was ambiguous as to how serious he really was.
A little while later after he had finished laughing to his heart’s content, the Hatter spoke again as if he had remembered something.
‘Now then….you have your break after this, don’t you? I’ve gotten some books that you might like, so you should come read them.’
He didn’t specify where, but the place Blood was talking about, and Alice’s reading room, was none other than his own private room.
A man and a woman together in a closed room might make one imagine there was something untoward going on, but so far they had never once crossed that line.
It was just the two of them in the room. Alice would read her new books, while Blood made progress on his work. Sometimes she would act as her master’s tea drinking companion but….that was all.
It was a distance that was too close for them to be called friends. However, even so, the girl knew well that Blood’s taste in books was similar to her own, so she had never once turned down his invitations.
Although, she couldn’t deny that perhaps because of his earlier teasing, her face looked a little discontented.
‘.....Thank you. Once I’m done here, I’ll take you up on your offer.’
‘Fufufu. Then, come on over during the next time period—Ah, and also-’
As if to detain Alice as she was about to return to her work, Blood brought his face nearer.
‘-’
Their faces were so close they were almost touching.
The scent of roses grew stronger as the deep blue gaze approached her. Whether it came from the roses in his hat, or from the man himself—she didn’t know.
‘It hasn’t been long since the move to the Country of Clover. I’ve spoken to you before about how the land is unstable, haven’t I?’
‘Yes. I remember.’
Right after the move came a period of instability. Countless times before when Alice had gone to visit other territories, the roads had changed, and she had ended up coming out onto places that were different than the ones she had expected.
‘After a while it will stabilise, so until then, please refrain from going out unnecessarily. If something happened to you, I can imagine all too well the uproar Elliot and the Gatekeepers will be in.’
‘Oh, are you not worried for me too, Blood?’
She had asked trying to get back at him, but apparently it had ended in failure.
The smile on the Hatter’s face deepened, and he drew his face in even closer than before. Eyes that seemed to almost suck her up into their depths came directly near to Alice.
‘Of course I worry for you. You are an important young lady to me as well.’
‘-!’
If she moved her lips they would be touching. It was that kind of ambiguous distance.
Nevertheless, deftly letting only their breaths intertwine, Blood whispered.
‘You are already a member of this Mansion, Alice. So that you don’t get lost going somewhere all on your own without I, your master, knowing….please take care.’
‘............’
Having finished saying what he wanted to say, the man at last stepped back. As Alice glared at him as if annoyed at being unable to hide her slightly reddened face, he unexpectedly was not laughing.
‘Though I may say so, you have a lot of friends all over the place…..so I don’t suppose you will be able to stop going out.’
As if troubled, he shrugged his shoulders and continued. She didn’t feel the same overpowering pressure from his behaviour as when he had been directly near.
‘.....You’re right. Hiding away in this Mansion doesn’t suit me.’
That was why Alice was able to continue speaking in her usual tone.
‘I’ve promised everyone too…..And, we don’t know when the next move will be, I’d hate not being able to meet my friends.’
‘My my…..what a difficult young lady.’
Averting her gaze from the man who was smiling bitterly, the girl declared herself.
‘But, the fact that my home is here is for certain. The only place I’ll return to is this Mansion…..I won’t get lost.’
‘.....Is that so. Then, I don’t mind.’
Whether he had given in or she had persuaded him, she wasn’t sure, but after finishing speaking the man leisurely turned his back and began to walk.
Clack clack, with steady steps the white-clad back grew further away.
Making sure from the corner of her eye that it had done so, Alice once more turned her gaze towards the other side of the window.
’That's right, after all, I’ve decided to remain here.’
The words she spoke sounded somehow as if she were telling herself that.
What was reflected in the girl’s field of vision was a Forest of a singular shade of green.
The whispering, enticing Forest of Doors spread out there.
Doors that were like magic, that would take the person who turned the knob to their most preferred place.
However—once you had opened one and passed through, there was no guarantee you would be able to return to the same place.
When she had been in the Country of Hearts, Alice had decided to remain here in the Mansion. Her regrets towards her previous world hadn’t necessarily disappeared, but even so, the place she had thought that she wanted to remain at was this Mansion of dangerous Mafia.
At the beginning she had been a freeloader, but it was different now.
Her position at the Mansion might just be that of an apprentice maid. It might be a job that anyone could do.
But even so, this Mansion was already home to her.
The master who was not satisfied unless he could be slightly sarcastic about everything, the number 2 who was a carrot fanatic, and the Twins who ran up to her while holding sharp objects.
Each and every one of them, including the maids and servants, were already family to Alice.
‘.....I will always return here.’
While speaking as if to tell herself that.
Since she knew the words that the doors whispered.
The girl’s green eyes didn’t quite leave the window.

ʚĭɞ       ―      CHARACTER SPOTLIGHT : THE BLACK RABBIT / ALICE LIDDELL ... VALTR.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, but you've heard this story before, haven't you? Perhaps a little skewed.
LEGEND , NIGHTMARE , TRAVELER , MADWOMAN , SACRIFICE , QUEEN , OUTSIDER  ... Once upon a time, a girl fell down a rabbit hole and stumbled her way through Dnalrenow. She took left as she meant right, bantered with the Bandersnatch among their flower fields, shared tea with the Fae Folk, wrestled with the jubjub birds, gossiped with the weeds, disobeyed the will of the tyrannical Queen of Hearts, and most important, chased her beloved Black Rabbit. Dnalrenow, devastated and empty from the Final Days of Reflection that had rendered its old world barren, burst to life in the presence of Alice Liddell, whose imagination was so endless, whose curiosity was so never ending, whose heart was so immense, she singlehandedly breathed a soul once more into the realm... however short lived it would be.
Across Dnalrenow she tore, chasing the black rabbit throughout every domain she restored until she came before the haughty and bloodied Queen of Hearts. There, they entertained one-another with quips and croquet, of tales of conquest and far off dreams. In a desperate bid to save the Queen's own card troops from a most brutal and unfair execution, she took paint brush in hand and aided in covering their mistakes  :  white roses, planted in place of blue. Paint applied ‘pon their petals, she was caught blue handed by the Queen of Hearts committing this unforgiveable crime, who forewent all known processes of justice and instead ordered her execution for such an unseemly and disgusting offense.
... the black rabbit was never real, silly girl. She was chasing a delusion, something her heart created to pull her away from the suffering and drudgery of her life back home. Dnalrenow chided her, drug her by dress and hair to the Queen's rusted guillotine, and affront the entirety of clambering nightmare, her head severed from her neck at the cold, sharp edges of the Queen's unforgiving blade. This skin she had never wanted, and this world she had never known were stolen from her. She swore the black rabbit had held her hand as she'd died. But perhaps that was just her delusion, too. A final attempt to comfort herself, as darkness swallowed the land.
Tumblr media
So, woe is you. Your tale didn't end very well, did it? Well ... neither did his. The original isn't the only original : everyone has a reflection when they look in the mirror, and rather silly of you to think that it's just yourself looking back when Alice Liddell's shadow has thus far followed you everywhere else you've fallen. Reckon if you stare at yourself long enough, some of your features start to look a little different, don't they? That's not... you, really. And the world inside the reflection isn't home. It isn't Wonderland, either. At least, not anymore. It used to be. You've been following in the footsteps of a ghost more than you have a white rabbit ... but it's time those nightmares paid their due. Shame the Red Queen went and offed your head.
ALICE LIDDELL ... through the Looking Glass, he's the same, but ever so slightly different. No everyone can be so forgiving : some reflections hold secrets, and some hold grudges that consume an entire land, cover it in the darkest of rot. The Alice that escaped Dnalrenow is a myth, a legend. People refuse to talk about her like she never even existed, hailed more as some kind of fallen god than a simple dreamer who passed through the lands ... but the nightmare fae, they know better. The nightmare realm, you've heard from the maw of the Bandersnatch themselves, is called Dnalrenow : it's not just a pocket for nightmares, it's an entire realm, a reflection of Wonderland itself. The only thing it has in common with the world you'd fallen into is A USURPER SITTING ON ITS THRONE.
He calls himself Valtr. But he hadn't always. You think he's lying to you, the way he smirks each time you call out to him. Whatever you know him as, it's not what the rest know him to be. The nightmare fae are terrified of him ... but he's their Queen. There's no book written by the Dormouse to fill you in on this one, only the word of terrifying creatures you encounter in these hallowed, dreary woods.
Tumblr media
Alice left Wonderland, but that soul died in Dnalrenow. Captured and killed via guillotine by the Queen of Hearts, his vitriol for his own murder cast an apocalyptic shadow over the entirety of the realm, turning Dnalrenow into a soulless, lifeless, hollow shell of what it had once been. It wasn't always the land of nightmares : it held hearts, people, societies, once. All of them fell in the wake of Alice's rage, a magic so violent and powerful that it tore the foundations of the very world straight from the ground. Unprotected by the Jabberwock's magicks, Dnalrenow became overrun with dark, dark magic, and thus overrun by the nightmare fae who flooded it once the breach between their realms was torn open. Who else but the catalyst of the destruction would raise to rule the lands he had torn asunder.
Flesh rebound by the fae, Valtr rose from the dead to usurp the throne left occupied by the fallen Queen of Hearts. Having turned Dnalrenow into a blackened, iced over wasteland, he donned the title Queen of Nightmares in her honor and mockery. Like a phantom, he haunts Wonderland's reflections, a reminder that not every fairytale has a happy ending : and that not every leading force is meant for an ending at all. In a bid for vengeance against the wrongs and humiliations that were committed against him in life, he seeks to shatter the Looking Glass, allowing Dnalrenow to flood into Wonderland. He seeks not only to plunge the world into eternal night void even of the stars, but also to slaughter the Wonderlandians for what he sees as reflections of his murderers.
He still reclaims his name as Alice Liddell, but upon your stumbling into his realm, he opts to hide his identity. To what end...
Tumblr media
ADDITIONAL NOTES ... Valtr's characterization is HEAVILY INFLUENCED by the muse I am writing with, as he is meant to play as a literal mirror to them as the defacto "original Alice" (so to speak.) His eye color, for example, will always match the color of the muse I am playing against. Similarly, his natural hair color will be the same - bc although it's black, that isn't his natural hair. His personality / mannerisms will also often reflect them ... for muses who are softer in nature, he will be more subtly manipulative / gentler / softer toned, vs for muses who are more abrasive, he tends to be more talkative, loud, and obnoxious. He shares habits that they have : flicking their wrist, twirling their hair when speaking, biting their lip, facial ticks, spinning pens while speaking, clicking his tongue, insert [muse trait here], etc, as examples.
If we wanted to get more in depth with a plot, he could share powers they have, speech patterns, physical traits, heights, so on.
Basically I take small details from peoples muses when we write together with Vatlr and incorporate those details INTO his character bc he Is Them, shifted slightly to the left. Same soul, different people. So, (one of the ways) muses can generally will figure out Valtr is Alice Liddell in the long run is by realizing the similarities between the two of them and making that connection.

Trick or Alice but better: Part 1
Trick or Alice is an R-18 otome game created by Little Cheese in 2012, the same company behind the yandere game Kuro to Kin no Akanai Kagi. It’s based off of the famous Alice in Wonderland book series by Louis Carroll. Content warning for mentions of sexual content.
From what I heard from people who played it, not only did the game tell it’s story in a very confusing way, but it was also boring due to it’s slow pace. Although, I did hear that 3/5 of the love interests’ romance was written pretty decently. For my revised version, I’ll be ditching the rape, incest, and the little pedophilia the game had for obvious reasons. I’m also not making it an otome game, let alone an R-18 game. The art style looks very cute and colorful, so it’s very disturbing to see these adorable looking characters doing the devil’s tango. The game is also so plot focused that the romacne would feel a little forced if that makes sense.
I would also have the story be told episodically, but it has an ongoing plot in the backround, similar to Bustafellows, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Season 1 and Season 2-A of The Owl House. That way, the character interactions would feel more concise and light-hearted rather than boring and dragged out. I also would have the Black Rabbit not be Louis Carroll himself, but rather his own person that happened to have created Wonderland. He would also physically look like an adult, since the “looks like a child, but is actually an adult” trope is gross, especially if you’re doing it on a real person. The Wonderland animals would also look like anthropomorphic animals rather than people with animal ears and tails.
Revised version:
White Rabbit and Chrono, The Mad Hatter, were born in a white void, or a “blank page” if you will. White Rabbit had magic, so he was able to conjure up basic needs, like a home, food and water. Outside of their little home, they rest of the world around them was nothing but white. For the longest time, they were fine with this, since they were only fine with each other. The White Rabbit, in spite of his stoic personallity, was always more imaginative. Chrono, despite his more outgoing behavior, preffered to follow the rules. The one thing both of them were worried about was time and what they could make use of it. In spite of their differences, they were close friends. They had plenty of tea parties together and White Rabbit would teach Chrono a few magic tricks. However, when they became adults, White Rabbit felt alone and wanted to make this void more than just a “blank page.” Chrono felt content with this way of living, but he was fine with what the White Rabbit wanted so he could be happy.
White Rabbit decided to create a book titled “Wonderland.” Whatever he writes in the book, it would come to life in the white void. He created a world called Wonderland, a paradise where anything could happen. With Wonderland came the concept of Time, which took the form of a baby girl. White Rabbit and Chrono decided to raise Time together as their child. More specifically, Chrono was the dad, while White Rabbit was more like an uncle figure to Time. In return, White Rabbit created the Queen of Hearts to create some semblance of order for Chrono. Eventually, other residence were born in Wonderland due to the world’s influence, including a cat who smiles a lot, twins made from shadows and light, and a dormouse who liked to sleep a lot. Their names are Chesire, Shadow, Light, and Round respectively.
However, as the pages of the book became worn out over time, it created rifts, or rabbit holes, that led to other worlds. White Rabbit went to these worlds to close the rabbit holes so nothing will go through Wonderland, all the while making sure he’s 10 minutes early to Chrono’s tea party. What the White Rabbit didn’t know was that a little girl named Alice Liddell from the human world had followed him before he could close the last rabbit hole. Due to Alice now being trapped in Wonderland, White Rabbit felt it was his rsponsibility to look after Alice for the time being. White Rabbit looked after Alice like a doting father, while Chrono acted more like a fun uncle. Alice and Time grew up together like sisters, inseperable in spite of Alice’s cheeful and upbeat personality to Time’s more reserved and calm behavior.
Over time, Chrono began to resent Alice due to her growing up rather selfish. This was due to White Rabbit spoiling her and giving her whatever she wanted to make her happy. He also felt like Alice took White Rabbit’s time away from Chrono and Time, as the two friends started to drift apart. Chrono complained about this to Time and a sleeping Round after his tea parties, beleiveing that if Alice hadn’t fallen down the rabbit hole, then White Rabbit wouldn’t have been so preocupied. But then…Chrono had an idea…an awful idea…Chrono had a wonderful, AWFUL idea…He was going to kill Alice…This resulted in a chase sequence as White Rabbit tried to protect Alice from the mad Chrono.
White Rabbit decided to use his powers to create a pocket demension for Alice and himself to hide in. This world was called “The Looking Glass World” due to it looking like the human world Alice resided in, and it had humanoid clones of all the Wonderland residnece, aside from Chrono. The only one able to enter in and out of this world was Chesire Cat, who took the form of a stray cat that visited Alice whenever he entered the Looking Glass World. White Rabbit took Alice’s memories as an attempt to keep her safe, as he dons the name “Henry Liddell” and pretends to be her father. Due to using a lot of powers to make the dimention, White Rabbit’s fur turns black, making him the “Black Rabbit” instead. Meanwhile, Chrono took Black Rabbit’s book during the chase, which caused him to gain the abilities to create Wondeland in his own image. However, he descovers the Black Rabbit placed a “bookmark” of sorts to prevent Chrono from using it. This “bookmark” was Elizabeth, a talking plant that resides in the Queen of Hearts’ garden. What the Black Rabbit didn’t know was that this would cause Wonderland to be stuck in a time loop due to the book being stuck in place. Chrono uses this to his advantage, where while he can’t use the book itself, he can use Time to change the events that happen in each repeating day. He kills the Queen of Hearts without anyone’s knowledge except Time, and pretends to be her via the book’s magic. The residents notice how the once nice Queen of Hearts became a tyranical dictator, forcing everyone to go by her rules, or else, they’ll be off with their heads. Chrono as the Queen of Hearts killed anyone who apposed his rule, using Time to make their and the real Queen of Hearts’ deaths permanent. Chrono is also able to enter the Looking Glass World, pretending to be a doctor at Alice’s school without Black Rabbit’s knowledge.
A few months pass by in the Looking Glass World, where after Alice’s 16th bithday, Black Rabbit was going to tell Alice everything and return her back to her world. However, at midnight, a gaint rabbit hole caused by Chrono destroys the Looking Glass World and forces Alice and Black Rabbit to return to Wonderland. Alice slowly regains this information as she meets her friends again, trying to find the Black Rabbit in the process. After her journey of trying to be a better person and friend than the one she was before losing her memories, she finds Black Rabbit hiding in the remains of the Looking Glass World. He explains everything to her and apologizes for not being a better parental figure and erasing her memories. Alice also apologizes for causing Black Rabbit and Chrono’s relationship to break, but he assures Alice that it’s between them and none of that was her fault.
In the finale, they return to Wonderland to defeat Chrono with the help of the other residence. Elizabeth decides to sacrifice themselves for the sake of Wonderland and ends up in the Looking Glass World, releasing the seal from the book and causing an end to the time loop. Black Rabbit gets his book back and Time takes her revenge on Chrono by rapidly increasing his time, with him dying of old age Mother Gothel style. Black Rabbit decides to let everyone use the book to loosen the world of Wonderland, while keeping some rules in place, like no murdering people for example. In the epilogue, an adult Alice desides to return to her own world after the book ran out of room and Black Rabbit dies. She says goodbye to all of her friends and family before leaving, and they allow her to take the book with her so she will always be reminded of Wonderland. In Wonderland, an adult Time oversees the world to make sure things are going smoothly. In the real world, Alice discovers that Elizabeth is now human and the Black Rabbit, before his death, combined the Looking Glass World and the human world into one. Alice and Elizabeth live together in a cottage, as they take care of a calico rabbit, cat, and mouse. Alice and Elizabeth ocassionally visit Wonderland when they want to. Alice creates her own book series based on her adventures in Wonderland and becomes a famous novellest, using the pseudonym “Louis Carroll.” Elizabeth is a famous fasion model and broadway actor and director, adaptaing some of Alice’s novels into movies.
Part two will contain character information and their involvement in the story, as well as some ideas for gamepley.

What's A Good Title?
It was a beautiful day outside. The momeraths are singing, flowers are gossiping. On day's like this little Reginald Leopold Theophilus III would spend the weekends with his grandfather who happens to be the famed Mad Hatter of Wonderland, the first Reginald. "How was your tea party yesterday, great grandpa?"
Tumblr media
"It was splendiferous until a little girl joined in uninvited. Uninvited! She was rather agnorant at first." As described by the old milliner whilst pouring some tea, trying to recall more about the blonde girl. Listening to his grandfather, all Reggie could think of was tea, manatee.. Tea and -tee.. Teahee!
Tuning back into his great grandpa's stories, Reginald concluded that this Alice girl has a hair that needs cutting and that she is a menace to society. "When she comes back here I'm giving her a piece of my mind. She is not gonna be a friend.. Never ever."
"Now, now, Reggie. That's not how it goes, people can still change who knows maybe this Alice won't be so prude if she returns..." Woah. Did his grandfather just give some very sane advice? "And if she's still rude, you can always escort her in the Tulgey Woods."
As Reggie as it gets, that went from one ear to the other. The boy visited his grandfather more frequently, setting traps around Wonderland. One of which backfired on the poor white rabbit but was also how he met the March Hare's nephew, Ears, who was now in tow of whatever mission this freckled boy had.
As years went by, the Mad Hatter title was passed on but so did his grandfather. That was also the year he began seeing a purple squirrel that distracted him quite a lot from his haberdashery work but also helped him get flings, breaking hearts here and there. Now, he was always on the hunt for pretty women rather than hunting for unsuspecting blue cladded blonde girls. That was until one fateful tea party when Ears invited a lady, "It's also someone you happen to know."
On that very same day, Reginald Leopold Theophilus III once again swore that he does not want to be friends with Alice Liddell... but rather be more.

20 for any of yours. GO wild
Hoo boy.... There's a whole lot of scrapped concepts so bear with me-
{ Note: This is more focused on the NRC ocs since they happened to be more flawed in comparison to the other TWST OC's }
Tumblr media
1. Freyah was originally going to be inspired by Alice Liddel
Back when I first made my TWST OC's, Freyah was one of many who I had a lot of difficulty on who to twist them from
So at first, since there wasn't an "Alice" in Heartslabyul, I initially chose Freyah to fill that role
The original concept was for Freyah to essentially be an inverted version of Alice
Examples being:
If Alice wore blue(At least mostly depicted wearing blue), Freyah would wear red
If Alice slowly realized she wanted to leave the madness of wonderland, then Freyah would never want to leave and embrace the chaos
And so on and so forth
But as time went on, I decided to change the concept after rewatching the Tim Burton "Alice in wonderland" movies; And made Freyah twisted from the Red queen
_________________________________________
2. Frisk was originally meant to have a completely different Unique Magic/Signature Spell
Originally, Frisk was meant to have a much different Unique Magic in comparison to the one she currently has
For an explanation, her OG UM(Unique Magic) would allow her to make others feel like they're falling down a rabbit whole and their biggest fear would meet at the very end. This would've also been a reference to her original inspiration being the white rabbit
But after developing Frisk's character outside of being a "mother hen", I ended up changing her UM because I felt it was too edgy for someone like Frisk
_________________________________________
3. Grey was originally going to be the vice leader of Savanaclaw
Okay so for context-
The original concept was for Grey to mockingly challenge Leona to a duel for the role of vice leader. And Leona would reluctantly agree
And after 30 minutes of brawling, Grey would eventually win. And by default that would've made her the dorm head of Savanaclaw
BUT, Grey was much more petty in her earlier concepts and decided that she'll just be the vice leader as to not harm Leona's "ego"
_________________________________________
4. Yuuta wasn't meant to exist
I originally intended for my version of Twisted Wonderland to not have a "Yuu" cause I thought (at the time) it wouldn't help progress the character arcs of my ocs and their storylines
But after some thinking for a few weeks, I eventually decided to include my very own "Yuu" for TWST
And I actually have two fun facts about Yuuta!
Yuuta's name was originally going to just be "Yuu", but I decided to change it
His last name "Sumeragi" was chosen after I watched an episode of Kakegurui-
_________________________________________
5. Lumina's V/A was going to be Natsumi Okamoto, who played Nishinotoin Yuriko in the live action Kakegurui series on Netflix. I then decided to change it to Nanami Karin, the actual voice actress of Yuriko
6. 5 of the 6 female NRC ocs had their V/A's chosen after rewatching a few episodes of Kakegurui
Freyah: Hayami Saori/Yumeko Jabami
Nyx: Minami Tanaka/Mary Saotome
Lumina: Nanami Karin/Yuriko Nishinotoin
Grey: Mariya Ise/Midari Ikishima
Victoria: Miyuki Sawashiro/Kirari Momobami
_________________________________________
7. Victoria and Malleus's relationship was originally going to be more "Forbidden lovers" than "Enemies to lovers"
My reasons for the sudden change in romance arc is more based on how I'd view their relationship so-
But it's mostly because I thought enemies to lovers would suit them more since Vic's family seems like the type to teach her that the Draconias aren't to be trusted and that she shouldn't talk with them. And vice versa
Plus I listened to Ruelle's "War of hearts" way too many times and I always associate that song with Malleus and Victoria
_________________________________________
8. Victoria was originally going to be inspired by the Evil/Beautiful queen's crow
Now I really didn't have much of a reason to change my mind
But upon further inspection on how my characterization for Victoria and ESPECIALLY her unique magic, I realized that it would probably be for the best that she'd be inspired by the magic mirror instead of the crow
Plus, the magic mirror played a bigger role in the story. Moreso than the crow
_________________________________________
9. Azrail's name was originally going to be "Perse" (Pronounced "Percy")
Azrail's name was originally going to be a shortened version of the name "Persephone" that also happened to be a reference to the popular webtoon; Lore Olympus
But after a while, I simply decided to change his name cause admittedly... I forgot his name, so I had to change it-

Vampyr/Alice - Part 1
In November of 1875, Alice Liddell is wandering London in the real world while her mind fights for her survival in Wonderland. At the witching hour, as Alice mentally enters the inner sanctum of the Red Queen in Queensland, she physically enters a central drain far underneath London. A cut on her hand oozes blood, which falls into the drain, and awakens something.
As Alice confronts the former ruler of Wonderland in her mind, another Red Queen, one of blood and hate, rises up out of the darkness beneath on a lake of blood, awoken from her slumber. From Alice's blood, the catalyst for waking her, the being also known as the Morrigan, the Queen of Blood, and the Red Goddess knows that Alice doesn't fulfill the criteria for becoming a Disaster.
While Alice has anger and wrath in her heart, there is still some semblance of hope and good in her, a light within her cynicism and darkness. In order to become a Disaster, Alice's anger needs to have completely consumed her, making her perfect for bringing plague and death upon the Human race.
Still half-asleep and annoyed at being awoken by someone unworthy of becoming a Disaster, the Red Queen decides to simply kill Alice and go back to sleep. However, she stops before striking Alice.
It's obvious that this mortal's mind is broken (her eyes are unfocused and it's like she's talking to someone else), but the Red Queen can sense that not only is her mind working to repair itself, but it is special. There's something about it that sets it apart from ordinary mortal minds.
And that brings the question: What would happen if this mortal with her strange mind were to become one of her children? An immortal drinking the blood of the land?
Maybe it's because of Alice's blood, not fully consumed by wrath, or it's that she's half-asleep, or both, but the Red Queen decides to try this little experiment.
In Queensland, the Red Queen with Lizzie's face wraps up Alice in her tentacles, while in the real world, the Queen of Blood picks up Alice with her two arms, smaller ones appearing out of the lake of blood at her feet to keep the mortal from struggling. In Alice's mind, the Red Queen's jaw unhinges far beyond what it should and she is pulled into it. In the real world, the Morrigan's mouth extends fluidly, and she swallows Alice whole.
From a distance, the Skal known as Old Bridget watches as the Red Queen swallows a mortal whole and then levitates in midair as her stomach bulges outward, as though she's pregnant. After a minute or so, the Red Queen expels Alice from her body into the large pool of blood before disappearing back into the depths to slumber once more. After a bit, the new immortal stirs before getting to her feet and making her way out of the central drain.
In Alice's mind, she wakes up in a version of Rutledge Asylum created from her memories, and then finds herself in the real world, in Hyde Park, before proceeding into the Dollhouse. The newest realm of Wonderland signifies the childhoods that Bumby corrupted and Alice's subconscious noticing it while her conscious mind focused on herself. After realizing the truth about Bumby and finding his Wonderland equivalent, the Dollmaker, Alice awakens once more in the real world.
On the street outside of Houndsditch, Alice looks at the world with new eyes. She sees people as humanoid shadow beings, their features and other things identifying them as Human beings completely indistinguishable, each with their heart, arteries, and veins visible within them. And also, she's very, very thirsty.
Looking around, Alice spies a lone heart, even though its owner is in an underground train station. Somehow knowing that it's Bumby, Alice descends down to meet him.
On the train platform as she confronts Bumby, Alice's vision keeps switching between her normal sight and her new "shadow vision", and her mind keeps switching between the real world and Wonderland. After defeating the Dollmaker in Wonderland, Alice can finally face the real world version of him with her full faculties.
After pointing out that nobody would believe her over him, Bumby takes out the key to her sister's room. Alice snatches it from him and turns to leave before a realization comes over her, and she knows exactly what to do.
Turning back to Bumby, she wills him to see her as she sees herself in Wonderland: Clean, healthy, vibrant, powerful, in her blue dress, white blood-spattered apron, black and white stockings, and boots. He is mesmerized by her, staring dumbfounded, mouth agape.
Alice walks back up to him, pulls him down, puts a hand over his mouth, and latches onto his throat with her new sharp fangs. Bumby snaps out of his stupor and struggles, his cries muffled and Alice's strength increased, preventing rescue or escape.
Alice drains Bumby of his blood, before picking up his dying body and throwing him into the path of an oncoming train. As the train passes by, Alice hears his last thoughts in her mind.
"The past must be paid be for, but others have always paid for me. Why must I pay this time?!"
With her family's deaths avenged, Alice turns and leaves the underground train station, her thirst still present but not so severe anymore. After everything, she is in a state of shock, not processing what she did to Bumby, or how she was able to, just glad that she's saved her mind and punished him for killing her sister and parents.
She wanders London again, seeing it and Wonderland mashed together to create a "Londerland". The sun shines down on her and she smiles at the vastly improved scenery. It's like the whole world is celebrating the death of one Dr. Angus Bumby.
Meanwhile, in the deepest depths of her mind, a sphere of glass cracks and then breaks, allowing a spark of light to finally escape, even as darkness moves in to contain it.

Potential Character for Mrs. Kelsey and Tumblr 7-25-2023:
Alice Liddell, Hand of the Queen:
What she might be in: 12 Realms or something.
What she’s from: “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There”.
Background:
A young girl who tumbled down a rabbit hole and into a land beyond the looking-glass, Alice was, at one point, tricked into ingesting a strange potion that made her shrink and grow. In both cases, she discovered benefits to all three sizes, seeing things from different points of view.
One day, the Queen of Hearts commissioned her to help stop the Jabberwock, a terrible demon-dragon who was invulnerable to almost all harm. However, legend told of a special sword, the Vorpal Blade, that could stop it.
With the aid of several other heroes, Alice found her way to a land of headless folk (such as the Headless Horseman, Bluebeard’s wives, and the various creatures who had run afoul of the Queen of Hearts and had not been pardoned in time), where she learned that the king (once a beamish boy who had fought the Jabberwock before) held the sword.
As it turned out, the King had been tricked into believing there were no more creatures with heads in order to keep the Vorpal Blade from attacking everyone around it. The sword loves chopping off heads, and when the King came out of the Tulgey Wood, his father did not for long chortle with joy. The Vorpal Blade demanded the boy’s father’s head. And his mother’s. And his sister’s. And the heads of pretty much everyone around him. Ironically, the Queen of Hearts managed to stop the situation (because if there was nobody left to have a head, there would be nobody she could order her favorite punishment against) by commissioning the court wizard to make an army of headless folk.
The Headless Knights held down the King, and Alice took the sword from his hand. To everyone’s surprise, Alice’s will was stronger than that of the Blade, and Alice wielded the sword against the Jabberwock, taking its eye and trapping the demon-dragon in a magical tomb.
For her heroism (and her actions during the War of Six Armies), Alice was given the title of “Hand of the Queen”. Now, she (and others) work against the sinister Dark Undermaster, who seeks to conquer all the lands of fairy tales…
How she is like me:
Sometimes, I have the urge to do bad things or lash out. Usually, I’m able to resist. Sometimes, by thinking about other things or powering through the thought.
Kelsey Notes:
Alice was faced with a “hero decision” because she was in a life or death situation and she did not want anything bad to happen to those around her
This is a good example of “in the moment thinking”, sometimes we don’t realize how well we are capable of handling a situation until we are faced with something that requires us to think outside the box in order to save those around us
What are situations of frustration that cause you to lash out at others or do bad things:
            The internet is out
Getting frustrated with others- this ultimately might tie into everything going according to plan which means others act in the way I want them to and when they aren’t acting the way I want them do then I’m not going to get frustrated
Because of your growth, maintaining calm relationships with others in your life is very important to you.  If things go according to plan, then the unexpected moment of frustration that causes you to lash out at someone you care about won’t happen.
This relates to feeling venerable and being a genuine person.  You care about others, want to protect them, and don’t want to lose the skills you have gained.
This is how you stay motivated to grow- the people in your life are important, you don’t want to lose them, and you want to work to keep your relationships.

@theinnocentblood ask continued:
With her eye twitching due to her significant other's actions, Alice snapped her book shut and reluctantly sat on the couch. “Mrrr....Lazy cat.” Just as she did, the girl had a flashback that took place back in Wonderland with the Hatter. The memory in question was when he pinned her to the couch. “Distasteful...idiot.” She murmured before letting out a long and tired sigh.
Tumblr media
Well...it’s not like she was going to be able to see them again, right? Now that she had a place here in this world. There wasn’t any chance she’d be able to see...her friends from Wonderland or...see her big sister either.

V and W?
V - Which character do you relate to most?
Okay, so I’ve been thinking about this ever since I saw this question in my inbox and if you had asked me this a couple of years ago, I would have told you Vanitas from Vanitas no Carte in a heartbeat. But now…now I don’t really know. My go to character, the easy answer, is Alice Liddell (Alice:Madness Returns). If we’re talking about OCs, though, I would tell you Doireann (oc for an original work). I am not the same person I was when I would have answered Vanitas, and for that I’m thankful, but it seems that my “easy answer” might just be the right one this time. All that to say! Alice Liddell (AMR) simply because her narrative has been about healing.
Now that I’ve waxed poetic, buckle in because the second question you asked will have a very, very different tone of answer.
W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.
Anon, dear, you might have stopped me from posting my soapbox post that’s sitting in my drafts because I’ll just say my piece here.
(I apologize in advance for the ranting that is about to ensue, this is something that has been steadily building for a good two months but I’ve been too much of a coward to scream about it.)
A trope that I am certain to hate—I’m gonna amend that to loathe—is the “uwu soft baby angel cinnamon roll can do no wrong.” Coming across it ignites a rage from deep within that I usually have to close whatever app I’m using altogether so that enough time will pass and the post/message will disappear.
I have two main reasons why I dislike this trope: a) it reduces characters that are normally well-rounded dynamic characters (because more often than not, it’s a prominent character in a series this happens to) to a metaphorical pancake, completely ignoring their flaws, character development, and what makes them unique; b) PERSONAL FUCKING EXPERIENCE.
Believe it or not, this is a thing that happens outside of fandom too! People who are nice, excitable, kind-hearted, and/or reserved are reduced to those traits and those traits alone. I have been on the receiving end of infantilization. Now, the Oxford dictionary defines that as “treat (someone) as a child or in a way which denies their maturity in age or experience.” Finding out that people were warned about your fragility before interacting with you, that people were told that you were unable to handle adult themes and/or conversations can make one snap after a while.
I’m happy, I’m excitable, I like to be kind and nice and help people but for fuck’s sake! I am not a child, I am actually about to be a parent!
All of that to say, I do not like the above trope because it, in my opinion, does a disservice to the characters and also brings up bad memories.
It’s made me drop fandoms and characters. (I can give specific examples if you are curious, but it would have to be in a reply or another post.)
Anon, I don’t know if this is an answer you expected, but I’ve finally gotten this off of my chest.
Thank you so much for this question dear. It really did make my day and answering it was cathartic.

ʚĭɞ       ―      WONDERLAND: THE MARSHLANDS.
Tumblr media
As the heart of Wonderland, the marshlands make up the vast majority of the realm. This is where Wonderland was given birth, home entirely to the creations of the Jabberwock who were not banished to the realm of nightmares, thus fit to remain existing within his world. The marshes spread across the entirety of the world, taking up the vast space that separates each village and all four of the major kingdoms within the realm. Akin to the expanse of the ocean on the earth Alice hails from, they are incredibly difficult to navigate and traverse through, though Wonderlandians themselves have nailed walking their winding and unreliable paths down to an art. Although technically free, neutral land due to the Jabberwock’s stance on remaining neutral in all things relating to his world, THE CATERPILLAR is considered to be the defacto ruler of the marsh, oft taking upon herself the role of keeping all within in order.
Because of their expanse, difficulty to navigate, and extremely stubborn wild/flora life, even the Red Queen has been unable to penetrate their lands, minimal rot from Heart Kingdom having seeped into their grounds  :  though there is a line of wilted red roses that runs through their paths, if one is unlucky enough to find them.
As the Jabberwock’s original site of creation, the marshlands very rarely, if ever, see sunlight. The only source of light within the marsh is from the bright stars that litter their eternally dark sky, as well as the bioluminescent flora Wonderland’s creator weaved to life. Lit with soft blues, purples and pinks, the marshes are oft compared by outsiders to that of the ocean in their world, although it is far more fantastical than the seas they left behind.
A mixture of faefolk, mortals, immortals, beasts, and other such creatures make their homes in the marshes. Many faerie and human villages are sprawled throughout its entirety to make up the empty space between the four kingdoms at the land’s corners. Due to the lack of sunlight in this area, many of the creatures who live there are also bioluminescent, having adapted to their surroundings or sought the aid of the Jabberwock following their creation.
Structures of the past are vastly grown over, making them almost impossible to discern deeper within the marshes. Entire buildings, train stations, walkways, cities, have been lost to the overgrowth of flora and trees since those eons past. The marshlands are the most difficult to find relics of the steam age in, most of it long lost to the biome that followed after. The structures that remain now have been overrun by faefolk and citizens of the land, who oft hang lanterns and claim these spaces for their own homes.
While still largely shrouded in darkness, there are select days throughout the year where the sun will rise and shine over the woods for a few hours at a time, but these days are few and far between. As to be expected, these hours of sunlight did not begin to occur until after Alice Liddell’s original fall, and subsequent escape, from Wonderland.
