And YEAH I did that. I've been asked multiple times why I read the fifty shades of grey trilogy and the accompanying one from christian's pov, and the only answer I can give: because I can. That was pretty much what it boiled down to. Just because.

I finished all 6 books and my GOD was that. an experience, for sure. I would not recommend those books. You can absolutely tell that it's published fanfiction--and not in a good way. The characters are underdeveloped on their own and rely entirely on the characterizations of twilight. They are stuck in the same cycles over and over again (wine, fight, fuck, sleep), and the plot is just twilight without the vampires. Like as if EL James was going off a checklist. It's quite ridiculous and I wonder how it got published like that.

Now I'm toying with the idea of watching the movies. On the one hand, I'm not a movie person and i'm positive I'll cringe to hell and back at this one. but on the other...I love to be thorough. and it's only 3 movies. and then I'll never have to debate it back and forth again because it'll be done..

“I-I’m not letting you go until you s-say it!” Toby declared matter-of-factly. You quirked a brow at this, immediately attempting to free yourself. This proved less than pointless, and you were even a bit surprised at how strong such a lanky boy could be. 

You huffed in frustration, resting your chin on his chest as you glared at him, though you both knew you could never really be mad at him. It seems it was time to admit defeat. 

“Fiiiiine,” You groaned, “But you have to promise to let me go.” 

“Cross my heart, h-hope to die.” Toby replied without missing a beat. 

You were silent for a few moments, possibly debating all the life choices that brought you to this before you spoke: 

“I’m…a handsome and capable young man.” 

“Yes you are!” Toby added happily, squeezing you one last time before releasing you from his iron grip. You sat up quickly, crossing your arms while looking down at him with a feigned scowl. 

“Whaaaat?” He drawled, “N-No lies were told!”

“What’s with you?” You demanded, “You’ve been all over me all day; telling me how handsome I am, how I’m ‘such a perfect boy’…Not that I’m complaining, but it came out of nowhere. What’s up?” 

It was then that you saw Toby show the slightest hint of embarrassment for the first time. He looked away from you and toyed nervously with the sleeve of his sweatshirt. 

“Here…g-get off me so I can sit up, then I’ll t-tell you.”

You complied, watching him closely as you tried to figure out what could possibly be going through his head. He took your hands once he was sitting across from you, careful not to squeeze too hard. He didn’t say anything for a few seconds as he tried to find the right words to explain his thoughts. 

“I just…I d-don’t want you to be too hard on yourself,” He began, pausing and allowing you to absorb his words before continuing. “You are a v-very handsome, capable young man, and I-I don’t want you to forget it. E-Even on the days when nothing in your closet m-makes you feel good or…or y-you have to cover your bedroom mirror with a-a blanket…” 

Your gaze softened as he spoke, your hand floating up on its own to stroke his cheek. Not only had Toby been listening to you when you lamented about your struggles, he’d been observing you during them. As laid back and childish as Toby could be, he caught on to a lot more than he let show. It was moments like these that reminded you that underneath the unkempt hair and stained hoodie and scraped knees he was hiding some real emotional intelligence, especially when it came to you. 

When he cared about something his instinct was to learn everything about it that he could. It just so happened that he cared about you the most, and there’s a lot of learning to be done about the feelings and thoughts another person. 

You ruffled his hair with a soft smile which he quickly returned. There was no denying the hint of a blush that dusted his pale cheeks. 

“Toby…” You called softly, “That…that means a lot. Thank you.” 

He immediately lit up, pulling you into another tight hug. You hugged him back this time. He mumbled something behind your back, almost as if he was unsure if he wanted you to hear. 

“What was that?” You asked, pulling away.

“I-I said…I love you, dummy.” His words were still a bit slurred, his eyes avoiding your gaze.

You don't have to take it out on me I'm not actually Obito (the girlies would be swarming if I was.) I understand it's hard to look past all the evil deeds Obito has been complicit--more than complicit--in, but you all have got to realize these are 2D drawings. As much as the Naruto verse is based in and steeped in real world events fandom should be a fun place. My blog is mostly a parody of Tobi/Obi, and it's been fun for me to engage with everyone ♡ and dissect Obito like a bug, his past and why he failed so hard to live up to his potential, his relationship with Madara, etc. I don't want to see him as black and white because there is so much to psychoanalyze. Maybe not label 2D drawings with such a strict moral code. You don't have to forgive, get past, move through, or anything remotely come close to accepting Obito as having a valid reason to "live" because he's not living. He's just a fictional dude. Just let those who are in fandom to be nerds, be nerds! Let us Obito lovers be nerdy psychoanalysts for this funky dude it's for fun my fam. Don't pin anyone who enjoys a character as having morally grey areas WE ALL HAVE FAILED OURSELVES IN THIS THING CALLED LIFE NONE OF US ARE BETTER THAN THE OTHER FOR LIKING SUCH AND SUCH CHARACTER. Also accept that not everyone in fandom will agree with you. It's ok to disagree. It's part of evolving into a grown adult when you realize differing opinions on fictional dudes are valid on both sides, and there's no need to HATE A STRANGER for not bowing down to your view on things. Trust me I have been ragey on Itachi haters (on my own blog I've never sent hate of any kind). But now I just don't let it get to me. I'd rather have fun than be bitter. If a stranger wants to spend their life writing Itachi hate blogs and being nasty go for it. Actually, I have some 'bad end scenarios' with Jim ending as a villain (or sorta).

Grit-shaka. Let's say, Jim never managed to get to Bular in Young Atlas, so he never realizes the true importance of fear. Sure thing, Grit-shaka caused some complications, but those were more or less minor. Jim decides to use Grit-shaka in battles occasionally. Unfortunately for him, it seems like a great decision at first as he gets several victories (against goblins and several changelings). However, as Grit-shaka is a Gumm-Gumm object, it's actually harmful, not only taking away Jim's fears but slowly eroding his moral brakes, so eventually Jim reaches the point where anyone getting hurt doesn't even matter. That's where Toby and even Draal start to realize the extent of the damage done (Blinky is against Grit-shaka from the very start but no one is listening). However, it's already too late because Jim gets too addicted to Grit-shaka and cannot function without it at all. Grit-shaka also gives him some horrible ideas, culminating in him freeing Gunmar and letting him take over the Trollmarket (and get the power up after absorbing the Heartstone energy) so that Jim can fight Gunmar in his prime. It ends as bad as you can imagine.

Decimaar mind control. So, the trip to the Darklands leaves Jim with an unexpected 'baggage' - it turns out that Gunmar's attempt to mind control him wasn't a total failure. Neither it is a full success, yet Jim has short blackouts sometimes when he cannot remember his actions. It turns out that Gunmar has managed to instill his will upon Jim's soul, basically creating a separate personality who is loyal to Gunmar. Jim isn't aware of it for a long time (he chalks everything to stress and overexhaustion). Meanwhile, his other personality keeps spying for Gunmar and helping him in the incoming takeover of the Trollmarket. When Jim comes to Gunmar for the first time, Gunmar initially wants to make him his puppet, but seeing the second personality who is loyal to him, makes him amused, so he decides to nurture that one instead, strengthening it during each visit. Jim's friends realize that something is very wrong when Jim isn't able to remember some of his actions or conversations they had. However, everyone thinks that it can be an infiltration from a polymorph like Otto. So, the team designs a special code to be able to tell apart the real Jim from the fake. The problem is that Jim's second personality knows code as well, so it's pointless. Eventually, Gunmar takes over the Trollmarket and erases Jim's initial personality, keeping him by his side as his loyal champion.

Aspectus Stone and Hunter Jim. This one isn't much of the villain one, but still nasty for Jim. So, Jim manages to send all of his copies back, and at first, everything is back to normal. However, Jim isn't aware that the experience was damaging to his psyche and now his soul is imbalanced. He turns more mission-focused, gradually losing his other interests. It's pretty minor at first so his team easily chalks it to Jim feeling guilty because of Gunmar's escape. He starts to skip school, refuses fun activities, and is rarely at home at night. Blinky tries to talk to him about it, but Jim just waves him off. Toby starts to panic when Jim stops cooking, and Claire notices how cold Jim becomes towards her and basically everyone else. She encounters him and asks if he is Hunter Jim (as she is the only one who has met that one), but Jim tells her he is the only Jim. That's when everyone realizes that something is really off, but it's too late. Jim cuts ties with everyone and goes alone to fight Gunmar, only to be defeated and fall under his mind control.

Gravesand. So, in this scenario, Blinky doesn't stop Jim's training with gravesand in time, so it causes some permanent damage, leaving Jim with some troll traits and a feral mind. Moreover, Jim gets addicted to the gravesand, stealing it from Strickler (who has already realized his mistake and tries his best to keep it away from Jim). The gravesand makes Jim attack everyone as he gets highly aggressive. He doesn't even remember his role as the protector anymore, simply enjoying battles and carnage. He ends up killing several Gumm-gumms and good trolls and for him, it's no different. Gunmar finds him in this state and finds it amusing, so he decides to keep Jim as his feral pet and force him to fight his enemies.

Merlin taking 'his champion' thing too far. Another not-that-much villain scenario, but well... So in this one, Jim's friends and family never reach him at the rooftop, and Merlin is the one who finds him there. It is the moment of ultimate vulnerability for Jim, and instead of support, he gets the manipulator. Jim confesses that it's too much for him to realize what exactly he has lost (😢) and Merlin proposes the solution - which is basically wiping out all Jim's memories except ones concerning his mission. When everyone reaches Jim, it's already too late, and the irreversible damage is done. In his state Jim has no trouble defeating Gunmar, however, it turns out that he's highly vulnerable to Morgana's manipulations and she makes him change sides, convincing him that she is the one who tries to build the perfect world for trolls (and in Jim's mind, he is the champion of the trollkind, meaning that he has to protect them first). Morgana makes Jim her new champion and uses him to hunt her opponents.

Obsidian shard's corruption. This one is post-Wizards. It turns out that while Claire managed to turn Jim human, the evil influence residue remained. It's unnoticeable at first, with Jim simply being easily annoyed, which everyone explains as a consequence of his transformations and losing the amulet. However, Jim is haunted by his memories of Camelot times and the abuse trolls faced there. Those ignite some rage inside his soul and it takes a while until Jim can calm down (which gradually becomes more and more difficult). He also starts to feel some odd repulsion towards humans. Barbara and Toby suffer from it the most (Claire and Douxie are fine because they are wizards, and Jim doesn't treat them differently). It ends up with the Arcane Order contacting Jim and convincing him to join their side and build a better world for magical beings.

Predictable as they are, Jamie is right about having a small gaggle of kids huddled in the alcove of his door looking to escape the cold morning on the playground. Shiloh, Jonah and Toby, Jamie’s early birds. They all arrive not long after he does, despite the fact school doesn’t start for at least an hour after the fact, victims of the bus schedule either getting them to school ridiculously early or just a bit too late for it to let slide. “Morning you three.” Jamie greets, earning three delighted smiles in return. “good morning Mr Baker!”

So this is a snippet from the next chapter of To All The Better Places, and Shiloh, Jonah and Toby are three of Jamie's students! I have been,, mildly agonizing over how to go about this chapter, because it is heavily littered with OC's thanks to the general nature of the fic requiring them, but especially Jamie's students because of how important they are in the whole concept of Before vs After! These three students are actually the ones I plan to do the most with, in terms of narrative things, but I have an entire roll call written out, I have a chart about the interpersonal relationships of all 24 kids that are in Jamie's class, there is so much secret lore about these kids I've made up that won't make it into the story.

It's just very important to me that these characters feel real and present in the narrative to really ground Jamie's arc so I have spent a very long time stressing about doing it right! I don't want them to be overpowering, but I need them to be very present nevertheless and it has been interesting trying to balance that!

Last movie / Tv show: last movie i watched was The Cabin in the Woods (2011). that was wild. i don't even remember the last tv show i finished, i tend to struggle with committing to tv series. it might have been The Lost Symbol which is based on a Dan Brown book. i watched it with my dad lol. but I'm sure there was something since then...hmm.

Sweet/spicy/savory: savoury, for sure. i like sweet stuff but only in small amounts or i start to feel sick.

Relationship status: single. shrugs.

Last thing I googled: 'where to watch Tokyo Gore Police' LOL. i unfortunately can only find it with either no subtitles or pisspoor video resolution, although admittedly i haven't done too much digging yet. if anyone can help me with that... hi my replies/inbox/dms are always open :)

Current obsession: god i dont even know. i watched both Creep movies recently and uh. well those haven't left my brain yet. i mean I'm always thinking about Repo so i almost don't even count that anymore lol. and in a totally different direction, my irl friends and i have kind of been obsessed with Trolls since we saw the new movie, but that's dying out a little now haha.

Last book: last book i read was Sharp Teeth by Toby Barlow. its a verse novel about lycanthrope packs in urban LA. i recommend! :)

Looking forward to: all the live arts i have booked lol. seeing The Front Bottoms with a friend in March! seeing Sunset Boulevard in June with my dad. Sarah Brightman has the lead role for that so..... yeah I'm gonna be real normal about seeing her perform live (blatant lie). Beauty and the Beast is in june too... The Grinning Man in April... hopefully Rocky Horror Show again, etc etc.

i'll preface this by saying that i haven't/don't read as much fanfics as i want to and there are just so many amazing stories being made in this fandom honeslty!! also as a non native english speaker i'm always blown away by certain phrases or paragraphs that just scrtch my brain just right it's really inspiring to see what people can do with words in different ways and styles.

So first i thought about @little-christmas-song's secret santa gift to me so this is christmas (the war is over) because TFRGEHYSJ IT IS!!! so good!!! i loved reading it, the ideas and just the feeling of the setting being so well built around me while i read it!! the characterization was so good and that's really amazing because ryuga is a hassle to write right imo,, anyway really amazing style and i can't wait for other pieces from Song (i can confidently say the next one will be a banger :>)

then from @artisadie, her fic the previous wielder (is just a guy) was so emotional and like so nuanced too? like grhjesk i loved it the vibes were really good and the structure made it really pleasant to read

so many others i have to read (i'm sorry guysss) but one fic from @lady-lazagna that i felt was really on point character wise was Pumpkin head it is such a good Yu characterization me think and also Tsubasa's character is really interesting when laz writes him!! makes me appreciate him so much more

I really really loved @andro-dino's toby fic this body of mine, it's been a while and i forgot a lot of it unfortunately but i remember being just !!!!!! aaaaa so touched by that fic like,, it's so well written and just hits close to home in subtle ways and just makes you love Tioby even more if that's possible

But but but i also really loved constants because,, hyoma. And axel writes hyoma so well and i just love him so much

okay now for your fic deity!!! i have,, a lot but i tried to make it a little smaller selection, here it is: first i think aquario's refrain (and also aquario's reawakening) really marked me it's such a good read and expendation on hikaru's character and just,, so so good,, the way you write hikaru's mental health issues and fights is just amazing!!

then i looked through ao3 real quick just now and i thought back to mayblade, the last day actually!! chapter 18: moon this. this gingka, the way he is written and also just how you managed to write so many characters and keep the rythm going and just write an amazing conclusion in general aaaa i still love it immensely

and last but not least Gingka's also adopted?! because man... MAN!!! this fic kncked me down kicked me and brought me back to life and gave me just one of the best aus and ryo characterization ever i just love it it's so good i think it might be my favorite deity fanfic! everything, the different times it takes place in, the phoenix bit especially and just,, the feels so many feels

alright and also i want to take this opportunity to thank the people i've talked to and shared my silly headcanons, ocs and au ideas with, it really is a huge source of joy for me to connect with people through art, through this weird 13yo show we're invested in for one reason or the other. And even though i struggle with writing/can never finish any wip or plan any story for some reason i just love thinking about aus and my shoyo being part of this world too, thinking way too deeply about hyoma or ryuga's characters :') so thank you everyone who has let met talk about all of that with them i love you <3 and thank you for sharing your little aus, ideas, your ocs and everything in between with me too, it's really an immense pleasure to read and exchange about them every time!!

im back in your inbox to once again tell you that the toby daye series is Very Good for me. i think maybe my favorite part about them is that they always hold my attention cuz something is ALWAYS happening. there's very little downtime where we're getting bogged down in details to the point that i zone out. toby is always like one page away from being magically transported somewhere, getting chased down, or covered in blood lol. also, tybalt is there. and his Jacket (tm).

Toby had been having such a hard time trying to think of something to get CranberryShortcake. Almost to the point that he regretted ever asking them if he could get them a gift! And this was all while he had such a time even thinking of something to get Tiana Truitt! It was supposed to be the season of giving, though, and he always felt like gifts were such a nice gesture. This could have perhaps stemmed from his lack of ever getting them, and when he did, they were prizes to behold. A physical reminder that someone had thought about him when looking at something that wasn’t him. 

Then, one day, he had gotten an advertisement in his email. Not his main email or his work email, the email he used for spam and to sign up for certain websites that he knew would only raid his inbox with promotions and reminders and headaches. This email was from a jazz website he had signed up for, telling him about upcoming concerts for the area. Or for the UK, anyway. There were quite a few, mostly at small venues and names that he didn’t necessarily recognize. 

But there was one he did. 

Laufey. 

He tried to remember why, going back to his recent history on Spotify to see if the artist was in there. Sure enough, they were! And that was how he remembered that it was his email friend who had told him about Laufey. Saying that she was a recent discovery, but a quickly beloved one. 

Toby thought this was serendipitous! 

He had clicked through the links until he found the artists’ website and tour dates, only to find that the ones nearest had been sold out. And he probably should have given up there but…well. He couldn’t. It seemed like the perfect gift for someone who loved music, who loved concerts, who needed a bit of a relaxing and nice get away from it all! 

It would have been easy to just go with a pair of headphones but now that Toby had this idea between his teeth, he couldn’t give it up. 

He spent quite a bit of time online trying to find a way to get a ticket through the proper channels. Of course there were none. Not even the choice for resellers to get their chunk of flesh. 

So, then he went into the real thick of it by spending the hours scrolling around on social media in search of someone trying to sell their tickets. It was a bit of a task but he didn’t mind it, getting to read people’s little stories of their agonies of waiting in online queues for hours, how ticket selling websites were the worst and resellers could rot for the ticket prices, others having their victories and being so thrilled to be able to go see the concert coming near them. 

It made Toby think of his sister. 

Eventually, he found what he had been looking for. 

There was a tweet of someone saying they wished they could go to the concert in London and someone in their replies said: 

Hey, please message my aunt on instagram! @heatherthe_forever33 she’s trying to sell her extra tickets. 

The original poster had replied: oh i just mean i’ll be on holiday while she’s here 😭 but thanks!!

It had been posted only ten minutes prior. Toby quickly headed over to instagram and found the account, giving them a message. 

Hello, I saw you’re looking to sell you Laufey concert tickets. How much are you looking for? 

It only took a few minutes for him to get a reply.

Hi! You saw correctly. How many tickets are you looking to get? I have 4 available for the EartH 17/2/24 performance. 

Toby hesitated, wondering how many he should get. Obviously one for CranberryShortcake, but should he get another as well? Would it be odd to only get them the one without thinking they would want to take a friend with them? Yes, it would probably be safe to make sure they had the option to take someone along if they wanted.

Okay! Here are the options. 

They sent him screenshots of their seats, the dots all in a row in a section of the venue. He didn’t know what CranberryShortcake would prefer, but he chose the aisle seat along with the one next to it. It may have to involve a lot of people stepping over them to get to their seats, but it would be nice to have a bit of elbow room, wouldn’t it? 

He told the person. They replied back with a cost. He haggled. They accepted. 

Then he went through a bit of a journey in setting up account on a ticket website for the person to transfer him the tickets. It was for the best that he hadn’t had one in the past though, since he figured that if he made this account for CranberryShortcake, it would continue to keep their identities from one another. 

Thank you very much! he messaged the person on Instagram. Heather, he supposed.

Toby smiled, tapping his hand on his desk for a moment as he read over that message a few times. Then he quickly got a move on, printing a picture of the venue's advertisement of the concert and then scrambling around his desk for a pen. He wrote down the website, the g-mail he’d created for the website and password to that, then the password for the tickets website on the paper. Under that he wrote, I know it’s a bit of a hike to London, sorry! -indignantmarker

He placed the folded piece of paper into an envelope, licked it, and closed it up. On the front he wrote, To CranberryShortcake and stood, walking to the front desks of Town Hall. He started to approach, thinking he could leave it with the receptionist, but then stopped because, well, then the receptionist would know who he was. And then she would also know who CranberryShortcake was, which meant he could ask and find out. Knowing himself, he wouldn’t be able to resist. 

So, new plan. Where would be a good place to hide the envelope that no one would bother it but would be easy to access for his friend? 

Under one of the seats? No, people were constantly fidgeting in those. A plant? No, what if someone decided to water them and smudge the ink? A vent? No, if they got caught messing with it they would surely be…maybe not punished, but embarrassed by someone making a fuss over nothing. 

Toby sighed, wandering the halls, taking a look at the nice paintings that were hung up on the walls. 

…ah ha! 

He approached one of them, looked to his left and then his right to make sure no one was around to see him, and gave it a wiggle. The frame moves a bit, enough to move away from the wall. So it wasn’t completely nailed down to it. Toby stepped back, assessing his options. He would need one that he could describe to CranberryShortcake that wouldn’t make them have to spend a lot of time going through, more chances of getting caught. He decided to go with one of the portraits, finding the features of it quite distinguishable. 

He returned to the Squire office, quickly adding the closing paragraphs to his most recent email to them, and sent it off. 

It was only a few minutes later that he realized that he could have just sent everything in the email instead.

I got into Minecraft in 2012, back before I got into high school. My very first Minecraft OC was Celina, but her appearance was much different. Here's a little doodle I did of Alpha/my first version of Celina:

Celina was originally my MC persona, and I wanted to draw a story about her making friends in Minecraft. She made friends with my version of Steve, and then...

I discovered Herobrine.

Herobrine was a legend of MC that didn't scare me as a kid, and when I saw Minecraft videos and movies on YouTube of him being scary, my thought was, "Well, what if he's just misunderstood? What if something happened to him that made him this way?"

So, I started working on my traditional art comic, "The Real Herobrine," which I later renamed to, "The Broken Flame." It was focused on Celina and Steve making friends with their server's Herobrine, who is now my boy, Brine.

After a few years of working on this, I found Tumblr through a FanFiction writer I'm friends with named BlackDragon41. I didn't have an account until I was 14 or 15, but at first, I just sent anon messages to nice ask blogs. I made friends with a few of them, and decided to make my very first Tumblr blog, askcelinasteveandbrine.

It took place some time after the events of my comic that I eneded up turning into a fanfic of the same name. It was focused on Celina, Steve, and Brine, with some of their friends and family as background characters.

I went on with my original blog for a few years, before someone started some drama that made me leave the fandom for a few years and turn all my MC OCs into fandomless OCs. However, I kept playing Minecraft, as it holds a special place in my heart.

I was on and off of Tumblr for some years, before I made my old OCs and my newer OCs into Minecraft OCs and rejoined the fandom. I ended up coming back to Tumblr a little before this, and my personal blog was originally an Apex Legends ask blog.

Then, I came back to the Minecraft Tumblr fandom after finding my current style. I really got inspired to come back by the mod of twinsinminecraft, the mod of hexavexen, and the mod of ask-toby-and-vulcan, mostly.

As I jumped back into the MC ask blogging scene, I met a bunch of old friends who I hadn't talked to since my original deviantart account from years ago, and the mod of askendy started the MC ask blog Discord server, and I reconnected with people in there, too!

I love this fandom, everyone in it, and everyone's OCs in it, and I'm so glad I returned to my roots of Tumblr and Minecraft. I've met so many people and my friends and OCs have changed my life by being in the Minecraft ask blogging community. I love everyone here, and I'm never giving up my MC dreams.

I know 14 year old me would be proud to see how far I've come with my Minecraft stuff. <3]
