Getting up out of bed had become the most difficult thing you face throughout each day.

The arms that used to wrap themselves around your body to keep you warm was replaced with cold empty sheets.

It became a place of numerous break downs and tears shed into blindingly white pillows.

Countless missed calls and voicemails would flood your phone, bearing concern from the little family and friends you kept around.

Ned would spend each one of his mornings calling to make sure you got up out of that bed. He was the only one you listened to when you had the power to.

He told you one specific morning that you needed to get up and face the world for yourself; that the earth will only continue to spin, and there was nothing you could do about it.

So, you got up; but only to be met with a certain pair of glasses as you opened an almost empty drawer.

They were round, black rimmed glasses with a heavy prescription.

You remember the first time you saw those glasses; you remember the first time you met the person behind them.

You couldn’t help but stare at nerdy boy as he pushed his glasses back up his face, profusely muttering apologies.

“Hey,” you caught his arm, making him look up at you with wide eyes as you spoke softly, “It’s fine. What’s your name?”

AUTHOR’S NOTE — it’s been a couple days since i’ve posted an imagine, so i wanted to give y’all a little something to hold you over while i work on my requests. honestly there isn’t much for me to say here so with all of that out of the way, i hope you guys like this little blurb i drafted in between working on all the cute ideas you guys sent in and as always if you have any requests send them in !!

- so you and peter have been dating for awhile now and despite the fact that you’re well past the ‘honeymoon stage’ of your relationship, he’s still adamant about taking you out every friday night.

- and you’ve tried to convince him that he really doesn’t have to do that, at least not as often as he does. but the boy literally adores you and you’re his first girlfriend so he wants to make sure that he’s doing everything right to keep you happy.

- as a result of his stubbornness ( although make no mistake about it, you absolutely adore it and him ) the two of you go on a lot of movie dates since you’re both high school students who can’t afford opulent dinners four times a month. 

- he always dresses up his outfits a little more than usual when you guys go out despite the fact you’re only going to the theatre down the street. 

- “peter why are you wearing your dress shoes ?”

- “cause it’s a date !”

- and from the first movie date all the way to the thirtieth, he’s never not payed for your ticket.

- you always buy him his favourite candy at the snack counter before the movie starts, and despite the fact that he’s grown used to it—you still manage to put the biggest smile on his face every time you slip the plastic package into his palm during the previews.

- he always wants to hold your hand when the movie finally starts, and when you pull away to grab some popcorn he’s always certain to entwine his fingers with your own when you’re done.

- and then there are those times when the two of you decide to watch a scary movie despite the fact that he literally cannot handle them whatsoever 

- “are you sure you wanna watch this ? remember when we went to see insidious ? you nearly peed yourself.”

- “i....did not.”

- spoiler alert: he did

- but anyways, every time the two of you end up watching a horror film his head is always buried in his popcorn. although when you look over at him, he’s always sure to look tough despite the fact his stark facade isn’t fooling anyone.

- and then there are the times you get scared too, so you bury your head in the crook of his neck until you can actually stomach whatever it is you’re watching.

- he also squeezes your hand super tight when he gets nervous, because again he really can’t handle scary movies.

- but then there are the times where you guys watch action films, or the ever popular romantic comedies.

- and it should be noted that no matter what it is that you choose, he always supports it because he doesn’t really care about what you guys are watching as long as he’s spending time with you.

- as i was saying: when you guys are watching something lighthearted he gets incredibly giddy, and kisses your cheek periodically to let you know that he’s there and having a good time. 

- oh yeah, and you guys always manage to do that oh so cheesy fingers brushing against each other in the popcorn bag thing.

- and you blush every time because he always gets this dorky smile on his face when you look up at him afterwards.

- when the move is over he takes you to get a dessert of your choice, although it’s usually ice cream.

- and wow it would really just be the cutest thing because it’s so simple but it means so much to him, and it means a lot to you as well.

- anyways, that’s it.
