A story about a lonely ghost who is haunting itself. Ghost looks for a friend and sees their own ghostly presence inside. They run inside and no one is there. They look for them outside, and there they are, back inside again. In this cycle the ghost keeps itself trapped in the same lonely loop.
Playing around with doodly animation on some of my Polaroid photos. I took this photo of a black church in Iceland in May 2022.

My storyboards and art direction for the 'Known' music video I animated!
The last image is an example of my initial sketches and ideas as I listened to the song.
I absolutely love working on storyboards and concepts for projects like this, and while I also love the animation aspect I do like working on that part with at least one other animator (it’s a lot to do by myself within a reasonable time frame, especially as a frame by frame animator!!). I came up with all of the visuals and direction for this from listening to the lovely song by Daisy Harris. I am partial to creating dreamlike visuals and focussing on the emotional journey and feelings of relationships and experiences rather than the literal physical experience.
If you haven’t already, please check out the music video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YI7X5tbHwo

Animated music video! I did the art, direction and animation for this music video for 'Known' by Daisy Harris.
I LOVE creating for music videos, especially the initial conceptual and storyboarding aspects. Daisy was lovely and let me have free rein with her song - I created the visuals by listening to the music and jotting down the images that flowed into my mind and building from there. I am partial to creating dreamlike visuals and focussing on the emotional journey and feelings of relationships and experiences rather than the literal physical experience.
I work with frame by frame animation, and I am definitely still developing. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out considering I created it in a reasonable timeframe and alone! previously I have worked alongside another animator which makes a project more manageable, but I loved the challenge involved in this and the freedom to create it the way I wanted to. It also was a great learning and developing opportunity for me!
I hope you watch and enjoy <3
