Cold hands

It's basically another one of my OC one shots, I just need a place to post them soooo yeah.

Nick was the person who was always cold. Especially during winter season, when the temperatures were greatly below zero. Nick hated winter. Matt, on the other hand, was a big fan of it. He just loved the vibe, and the cold didn't affect him in the slightest. That's why he took his boyfriend out for everyday walks. Nick didn't really get the appeal, but he went along with it. After all, it's just a walk, it couldn't be that bad. Although one day, it *was* that bad. 

January 11th was the day the temperature reached a frightening -19 degrees. For Nick, that was way too cold. He was already freezing when he met up with Matt at a nearby park. The two boys walked around the park for some time and then sat down on one of the benches. Despite having a few layers on him, Nick could feel the cold too much to his liking, especially on his bare hands, since he forgot to take his gloves with him. He tried to make his hands warm by rubbing them together, which was quickly noticed by Matt.

"You cold?" he asked, although it was more of a rhetorical question, since the answer was obvious. Nick nodded and put his hands in the pockets of his jacket. Matt chuckled and shook his head "You should've told me earlier. We would go home." he said, getting up from the bench and reaching his hand out to his boyfriend. Nick took Matt's hand, also standing up. The two boys started their walk towards Matt's place.

When they arrived at the brunette's house, Matt made both of them some tea, and the boys went to his room, just to get under the blankets and cuddle. As usual, Nick was the little spoon, despite being taller. But they liked it that way. The warmth they gave each other was so soothing that they were soon found sound asleep. Drifting off to sleep together was utterly comfortable for both of them: Nick was happy to be warm and Matt was happy that Nick was happy.

Back to school thoughts

I thought about doing posts like that each month (even if nobodys gonna see them, they'll be here for me) and just do a little vent-summary of a month.

So I started school on September 4th. It's my 4th year in high school, I graduate this year, it's stressful, final exams are coming and they're on everyone's mind. The teachers are talking about them practically every lesson. And I get it, but at the same time it's so pointless.

September wasn't all that bad. Sure, I got two bad grades, but I also got a few good ones! Also, seeing my classmates after the summer break feels nice, even if I don't share a bigger bond with most of them. I missed these people.

The biggest downside is actually my mom, cause she's a pain in the ass. Literally having a problem over everything I do, judging my every action and choice. She expects "the best of me" but at this point it started to be too much. She wants a perfect child and it's just not physically possible. I cannot maintain having good grades in everything.

Moving on, I'm having an existential crisis, because a guy who I had a crush on in 1st grade, starts to seem really appealing again. But maybe that's just me being desperate wanting a boyfriend. Who knows.

Halloween movie marathon

Another one of my one shots, I guess. Do y'all even remember that I posted some in the past? Lmao.

One day you just have to come to the conclusion that you are too old for trick-or-treating. That's usually the age of 16-17 when people realise that they're not kids anymore and they think they can't participate in such childish events. That's the time you start going to Halloween parties instead of going for candy. That was the case for Nick and Matt too, but they weren't really made for parties. Especially Matt. He was a massive introvert, and unlike Nick, who was one of the more popular people in class, Matt sucked at social relations and just wasn't made for meeting new people. And well, at big parties of this kind, it was basically impossible not to run into a stranger.

That's why they chose to spend this Halloween together at Nick's house. His parents were often away for business trips, so it was more spacious than Matt's place and most importantly, they would be alone. They were planning to watch some horrors and just generally hang out, so nothing special. There was only one problem- Matt hated scary movies. However, he didn't want to ruin the night for his boyfriend, so he decided to play along. After all, what could go wrong, right?

The two boys met at 9 PM and started their evening with something not too scary for a warmup. They've decided to watch one of the "Final Destination" movies. It was, in fact, more disturbing than scary, but it was enough to make Matt scoot over closer to his boyfriend. Nick didn't really notice it, since he was absorbed in the movie. He has loved the whole franchise since childhood and Matt thought it was kind of cute how Nick kept his interests for so long.

As the movie finished, they moved on to the next one, which was "The Ring". Of course, out of all things, it just had to be it. Matt thought it was one of the worst things he's ever seen in terms of scariness. Sure, he didn't watch that many horrors, but out of these that he did, it was on top of the list. About halfway through the movie Nick noticed his boyfriend's unusual behavior. Frequent trips to the bathroom and constant looking away from the screen were giving it away. "I can see something's wrong. What's up?" he said, turning his head to Matt.

"No, nothing, really. Everything's fine." Matt replied, trying to lie. Although Nick knew him too well to fall for this "Let's watch something you'll enjoy too" he said, turning the current movie off and reaching for a laptop "What do you think? It doesn't have to be Halloween themed" Matt stayed silent for a while and then asked "Avatar?" Nick smiled "Do you mean the blue aliens or-"

"What? No, of course I don't. The one and only true Avatar is Aang."

"Well, Atla it is then" said Nick, searching up the series on Netflix. Boys spent the rest of the night watching their childhood cartoon and cuddling in cozy blankets. It was way better than these dumb horror movies.

Science experiment

Yes, yes that is another one shot. The last one for now, since I don't have anymore in my stash. But I'm working on a Halloween themed one. But now, enjoy this one!

The last few days were certainly busy ones at the 4th General High School. There was a huge science fair happening, and the school was opened for everyone. Students and teachers from different schools, adults with their children, everyone was there. Since the event was pretty crowded, everything got separated between different classrooms and was partially left in the hands of students. Some of them were assigned to show people coming to the fair where were different demonstrations happening, and the other part was in charge of making all of the experiments and entertaining guests.

Nick and Matt were assigned to the chemistry laboratory to perform some experiments that their teacher showed them earlier in class. They were currently preparing some crucial reagents and other stuff they needed.

"Seems like we have everything. So, there's still some time left. Wanna discuss what we are supposed to do once again?" Matt asked "Actually, how about we do a little extra experiment together?" Nick said, walking up to his boyfriend and putting his hand on Matt's cheek. Matt smiled "I don't think we have enough time to do tha- mmph!" he tried to protest, but got cut off by the impact of Nick's lips meeting his own. He got pinned to the wall and Nick's hand went on his back, rubbing it passionately. At first, Matt was surprised by his boyfriend acting so fast, but he quickly kissed him back and put his hand in his boyfriend's hair. They felt as if they were locked in time. With both of them having a good time, they moved onto the experiment table in the middle of a classroom they were currently in. Matt sat on top of it and pressed his lips to Nick's again.

Meanwhile, a group of 1st graders was coming to the lab, being guided by one of Nick and Matt's classmates.

"That's the chemistry classroom, what awaits you here, are very interesting demonstrations of colourful or semi-explosive chemical reactions" the girl said "Let's get in there, shall we?" she said, opening the door. What she wasn't expecting, was a sight of her classmates, making out right on the experiment table of the workshop.

"I'm afraid that our scientists aren't ready with the setup yet. I'm gonna send you next door for now" she told the first graders with a smile on her face, as she gestured for them to go into next classroom for some other show. She then entered the laboratory again, instantly scolding her classmates.

"Are you nuts?" she started "This science fair was supposed to be perfect, and yet there you two are, just casually making out!" she shouted. Nick and Matt exchanged looks with each other and smiled awkwardly "We weren't making out, it was just a... uhh" Nick tried to lie, but couldn't come up with any excuse. Luckily enough, Matt was there "A science experiment! Yes, we were just experimenting on anatomy stuff!" he quickly said, seeing that his boyfriend was struggling. The girl crossed her arms and looked at them with confusion painted on her face "You're not going to pass with experiments like that" she said, clearly not believing them "Nevertheless I'm not a snitch. Therefore I will not expose your relationship to the rest of our fellow classmates. But do your job." she said, walking out of the laboratory. Nick and Matt were left relieved, but they knew they were on a thin ice. Next time, they will totally find a better place for kissing.

Autumn walks

I'm here again with my crappy one shot. I mean, nobody will even read it, so I'll just post it in to the void *again*. Although I could use some feedback 😭

Autumn, one of the best seasons. It's good for everyone, from the cold-loving people that enjoy being outside, to the warmth enjoyers staying home, reading a book or watching Netflix in their cozy rooms.

Nick and Matt were a fifty-fifty case. They both loved to just meet up at each other's place and watch their favorite series all over again while cuddling. This time, however, they decided to go out. They didn't have any particular destination, just went for a stroll through the park. Going for a walk with your loved one, while being surrounded by a pretty scenery of the colourful leaves. There just couldn't be anything better.

As they were walking, they kept talking about different things. At that moment, about biology. To be precise, the topic was "why do people have knees".

"So, as I was saying-" Matt started, wanting to bring some arguments to the discussion, but his attention was driven to something else "-OOH a crunchy leaf" he said excitedly, letting go of Nick's hand to run up to said leaf. When he stepped on it, the biggest disappointment awaited him. The leaf wasn't crunchy at all. Matt's smile faded in a second, and Nick couldn't do anything about it but laugh.

"Hey, don't look at me like that, it was funny!" He said when Matt looked at him with a pout on his face. Nick really wondered sometimes, how did he end up with Matt. He was a dork, but he was his dork.

"Hey, how about we go to that cafe down the street?" Nick offered. Matt smiled and accepted the proposition. Hand in hand, they slowly walked their way to the said cafe. That afternoon couldn't have been more perfect.

I'm here again with my favorite kind of one shot. A sickfic. And it's about my OCs as you might have guessed. I have a few more stories with them in my notes so I think I'll post them all, and more in the future. So here we go.

Nick hardly ever got sick. But when he did, it hit him hard. Very hard. When he woke up that morning, he immediately knew he wasn't going to school. His head was pounding, every muscle of his body felt like it was about to rip at any moment. Not to mention his awfully stuffy nose and a sore throat. Yup, he definitely wasn't going to school. He didn't have much energy to get up, but he had to pee very bad. Unfortunately, being sick doesn't stop your body from having the basic needs. Nick slowly got up and immediately felt a shiver down his spine. He sluggishly went to the bathroom, did what he had to do, and went back to bed as fast as he could. Going to the kitchen for medicine wasn't his priority right now, even though he knew he should do it, he'd rather stay in bed. He did so, quickly falling asleep. After some time, he was brutally woken up by his ear-piercing ringtone. Of course it was Matt calling. He obviously noticed his boyfriend's absence and got worried. But who wouldn't, honestly. Nick reached over for his phone and picked up "Hey, why you callin'?" he asked, his voice sounded raspy, which Matt noticed straight away "Nick, dude, are you alright? You don't sound so good" he said, worrying about the other boy "Well I feel probably 10 times worse than I sound, but thanks for asking" Nick said and chuckled, which caused him to fall into a massive coughing fit. When he was done with the painful coughs, Matt spoke up "I'm going to come over after school, someone has to take care of you" he offered. Nick's parents were currently out of town, so he was all alone. Sure, he could use some company and maybe some help too, but he didn't want to be a burden and accidentally get his boyfriend sick "You know you don't have to do this? I'll be fine" he lied "I don't have to, but I want to. I'll be there at 3, see ya" Matt said as he ended the call, not giving Nick a moment to respond. Nick grumbled as he put his phone aside. He thought it could be a great idea to at least drink some water, so he got up, still covered in his blanket like in a cocoon, and went down to the kitchen. Although on his way there, his attention was driven to a couch. It was very appealing, so Nick thought laying down for few more minutes wouldn't hurt him. He settled himself and his eyelids immediately started to feel heavy. The last thing he remembered was a sight of ceiling getting more and more blurry as he slowly fell asleep again.

Apparently, it was way more than just a few minutes of sleep. And Nick's little nap would last even longer if not for Matt, who came knocking at the other's door. Nick slowly got up and went to open the door, still wrapped in a blanket of course. Was it only him or his whole house felt a lot colder than usual?

When Matt saw his boyfriend in his miserable state, a look of concern appeared on his face. Nick was pale, very pale. He always was, but now his skin was almost white. Accompanied with a red flush, from a fever probably, he was a walking picture of misery. "You look like hell" Matt commented. Nick groaned and just said "Thanks, I feel even worse" after which he let his boyfriend inside. Matt stepped in, setting the grocery bags down on the counter. He took cold medicine, cough drops and some snacks out of the bag and placed them on the coffee table next to the couch Nick was currently sitting on. The sick boy really looked miserable. He was shivering because of the fever, he was pale, and he had very visible eyebags. His look was certainly very pitiful. Matt sat down next to his boyfriend "Let me feel your forehead" he said, bringing his hand up to Nick's forehead "Man, you really are burning up" he stated "You should be in bed"

"Fine mom" Nick replied sarcastically. His sick state didn't stop him from being as sassy as always. Nevertheless, he stood up and went back to his bedroom to lie down. Matt stayed in the kitchen to make him some tea. When he was done, he took it to Nick's bedroom and there settled the cup on his boyfriend's nightstand. He also gave him the necessary medicine, which the other took without hesitation, then slowly finished drinking his tea.

After some time has passed, Nick fell asleep. Matt stayed by his side all the time, holding his hand, and occasionally changing the wet towel on Nick's forehead to ease his fever.

"Rise and shine, sleeping beauty" Matt said when his boyfriend woke up "Do you want me to make you something to eat?" he asked. Nick shook his head, sitting up. He could swear he felt even worse than before. His whole body felt like it was on fire, despite the earlier taken medicine, and there was a weird, heavy feeling in his stomach. He groaned in pain while clutching his stomach "I think I'm gonna-" he was about to finish the sentence, but got cut off by the sudden wave of nausea, which caused him to spring out of his bed and head straight to the bathroom. Matt followed after, wanting to be there for his boyfriend. After entering the bathroom, he found Nick on his knees, gagging into the toilet bowl. Matt crouched next to him, holding Nick's hair back with one hand, and putting the other on his sweat-covered back. After a few long minutes, Nick finally stopped throwing up and leaned back, melting into his boyfriend's arms. He started sobbing, being overwhelmed by his current state. Matt held him in his arms, assuring him that everything is alright and gently rubbing his back. When his hand found itself on Nick's neck, Matt realized that his boyfriend was abnormally warm, even more than before. He didn't want to disturb him, but he had to. "Nick, you have a fever" he said, on which the other replied with a single "Mhm"

"Come on, you'll feel better in bed than on the bathroom floor" Matt said, trying to guide his boyfriend to bed. He glanced at Nick's face and noticed how hazy he looked. He was probably too sick to process anything that was happening. When he was finally settled in bed, the only thing he wanted to do was sleep. "Look, I have to check your temperature. Then you can sleep. Sounds fine?" Matt asked, and Nick nodded. After he was done, he gave Nick another dose of his fever medicine. He expected him to just turn away from him and go to sleep, but instead he stretched his arms towards his boyfriend, suggesting that he wanted to cuddle. Matt smiled at the sight, getting under the covers with his boyfriend. "I love you" Nick said, already drifting away to sleep.

"I love you too, dork" Matt replied, smiling.

The two of them soon fell asleep in each other's arms.
