they clearly thought. but uhhh chief his super hero costume is the outfit he died in. we can't change it.

but they *had* to change it.

and instead of any half-dozen solutions i can think of off the top of my head (e.g. season 2 power up, take advantage of his already canonical light shapeshifting powers)

they went "okay so a ghost genie re-writes reality so he never met Sam and therefore neve rdied so Sam convinces him to die all over again but not before slapping her own home-made logo on his chest"

The earth stopped moving one night for a couple hours in the marvel universe and we have a panel of various magical and scientific heroes finding out about it as it happens thanks to their powers or instruments and start working on a way to make it work again.

Except among the ones who found out via their powers is Spider-Man mid web swing in the air so now he's getting sensory overloaded by his own Spider-Sense screaming that everything is wrong and thd world is dying and he doesn't understand why, alone on a rooftop he just crash landed into while having a panic attack.

Then Quasar manages to trick the villain who stopped the Earth from spinning into imploding, and Infinity, Eternity, Oblivion and Death come to a agreement, and Earth returns to spin, all is well...

And a very confused Spider-Man finally calms down, his spider sense quieting down, not knowing what the FUCK has just happened but glad it was over.
