Ninite – New PC? Install all of your programs in one go with no bloat or unnecessary crap.

PatchMyPC - Alternative to ninite with over 300 app options to keep upto date. Free for home users.

Unchecky – Tired of software trying to install additional unwanted programs? This will stop it completely by unchecking the necessary boxes when you install.

Sci-Hub – Research papers galore! Check here before shelling out money. And if it’s not here, try the next link in our list.

LibGen – Lots of free PDFs relate primarily to the sciences.

Zotero – A free and easy to use program to collect, organize, cite and share research.

Remove Background – An amazingly quick and accurate way to remove backgrounds from your pictures.

Atlas Obscura – Travelling to a new place? Find out the hidden treasures you should go to with Atlas Obscura.

ID Ransomware – Ever get ransomware on your computer? Use this to see if the virus infecting your pc has been cracked yet or not. Potentially saving you money. You can also sign up for email notifications if your particular problem hasn’t been cracked yet.

Way Back Machine – The Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites and loads more.

Rome2Rio – Directions from anywhere to anywhere by bus, train, plane, car and ferry.

Splitter – Seperate different audio tracks audio. Allowing you to split out music from the words for example.

myNoise – Gives you beautiful noises to match your mood. Increase your productivity, calm down and need help sleeping? All here for you.

DeepL – Best language translation tool on the web.

Forvo – Alternatively, if you need to hear a local speaking a word, this is the site for you.

I first downloaded the game I guess somewhere around April 2018 according to these stats. But I remember when I first opened the app and I saw all those love interests, I was so overwhelmed with choice. And coming from Choices really being the only VN I was reading at the time, I didn’t really understand Lovestruck- you chose the love interest instead of the story??? What a concept- one that I actually ended up preferring in my VNs! But at the time I was like “what is this?? I don’t understand???” So then the app sat idle on my phone and I ended up needing more storage space. I realized I wasn’t really using the app (I really only opened it that one time and never again it seems) and I deleted it.

I ended up redownloading it about a year later after seeing someone talk about it on the Choices tag. At this point I was still reading Choices, but not as much as I used to, and I was reading the Arcana around the same time too but my interest in both apps was starting to wane. But this time, when I opened the app again, I actually started to read some stories. After only a couple chapters in of my first ever route, Zain (who is still one of my top favorite LIs), I realized what a gold mine I struck and how amazing it was that there were truly so. many. stories. What once seemed overwhelming now became a blessing- there was plenty to read! From then on, reading the app became a part of my daily routine.

Yesterday, I realized that if kept the game open after the service ended, I would still be able to read some stories. So that’s what I did for quite some time, just trying to read through the last routes I wanted to with the tickets I had left. I even tried to farm some hearts so I could do the daily puzzle since I had 2 puzzles with 1 piece left but unfortunately I ran out of chances and didn’t get to finish them (2 less heart scenes I got to get 😥).

But eventually I had to leave the app and I ended up deleting it (because it was taking up a crazy amount of storage space which I don’t even understand how, but anyways) and now I find myself absent mindedly going to open it from my recent apps but then realizing it’s not there. It really made me realize just how much opening the app to read a chapter here or there was just another part of my daily routine for nearly 3 years. I even used to set an alarm for 3AM for when the new chapters would drop daily to read them as soon as they came out. I wasn’t doing that for the last 3 months of course, but I was still opening the app up daily.

It’s definitely going to be a weird adjustment for me to stop attempting to go through the motions of opening the app. And I’ll miss it loads! As I said on my Nahara post, thank you to everyone who contributed their hard work and talent into the app, it was so greatly appreciated and your work will live on through our memories. I know it definitely will in mine.

And last for now, maybe, but definitely not least, the last Lovestruck character I have left in my WIP vault, one of my most difficult characters I’ve made to date, it’s Nahara Byrd!

I was so happy to get Nahara’s route it was a pleasant surprise! I really enjoyed her story. I was so intrigued by the storyline and I liked that it was different from the other SWM characters. Speaking of those other SWM characters- my goal in making the SWM characters was to make them in their “fighting pose” and so with Nahara, I wanted to do the same thing. But all those vines were so finnicky! And instead of paint, I challenged myself to try to make all the flowers of her outfit by clay only, and though they’re a little clunkyI think it still worked! For now, that is the absolute smallest I can make little flowers- we’ll see if I get better at that later.

But for now, farewell to Nahara and all of Lovestruck. Thanks to anyone who dedicated their hard work and talent to the app- your work was appreciated!

For today’s WIP Wednesday, we have another low quality image of a of my last remaining Lovestruck characters that I’ve made (so far)- it’s Princess Josephine! Hers was the route that never was... like with Zeke, I will always be forever sad that all we got was a short, but I guess that’s better than nothing!

I really loved all the jewels on her dress so I tried to recreate that by hand placing each little jewel and glitter one by one, but the process isn’t perfect and some did fall off 🙊. But I’m really happy with how it turned out and that she can stand on her own!

One more lovestruck character left... to be posted on the next WIP Wednesday, the penultimate day of Lovestruck’s existence! I wonder what will next strike me as inspiration (though I’m pretty sure it’ll be Dimension 20)

As we wind down in to the end of Lovestruck, I’m going to post the last 3 figurines I’ve made of Lovestruck characters (though they’re all currently WIPs- so yes, it IS a WIP wednesday!!).

I’ll admit- I wanted to make so many more characters but with the app ending, I don’t know if I’ll have the motivation anymore. I will say for the ~3 years I’ve been playing the app, I was constantly inspired. Lovestruck is the longest I’ve kept up with a VN app and I honestly would stay up late every night for the new releases- consistently, for 3 years. I was that hooked! Though I don’t know if I’ll make anymore after the end, I’m happy with the characters I’ve made so far- and I’m always happy to make more in the future should the opportunity present itself or get inspired again!

So we start with Maxime! Lowkey I forgot that last week was MSC’s free read week and I didn’t get to re-read Maxime again one last time. Honestly one of the saddest things about the shutdown for me is that MSC doesn’t get to continue (and there were no story summaries??> :(((((((() because I was really loving this story and Maxime the most.

And now for some technical details- for the tail, I used this Sculpey translucent clay that has this interesting texture that makes it very soft and a bit sticky so it’s able to stick and blend together very well (a little too well sometimes!). I think if I did this again, I would have blended the clay I used for the tail with some white glitter to make it a bit shiny. But, all is not lost! I can simply seal some glitter in with the glaze.

Maxime and the next 2 figures all had very unique detailing- and honestly, the next 2 figures may be 2 of the most detailed figures I’ve ever made. SO many tiny individual details that were so fragile it was such a trip. Can you guess who they might be? 👀 Hint: they are 2 fairly recent characters!

First tries

I’ll be the first to admit that very rarely my first try at anything is a success- however, it has been known to happen every once in a while which tricks my brain into thinking it can happen again, even though it doesn’t! Which is odd because it’s kind of the reverse of the whole thing of like you can get 99 compliments but fixate one 1 negative comment- in this very specific situation, my brain is like “who cares about those 99 “first try” failures this one (1) single first try attempt is a success!” I try not to question my brain too much anymore it gives me headaches

Anyways, this is all to say that I looked at Kugrash from Dimension 20′s “The Unsleeping City” and was like “little sewer rat? I can make him easy” after the high of making a dare-I-say BEAUTIFUL Nahara Byrd from Lovestruck’s “Sin With Me” (which is currently free-to-read if you have the app! But if you dont then :( because the app is no longer in app stores because it’s closing! But Nahara is amazing please read her route regardless) and boy did I get humbled quick because my guy ended up looking like a BOY SCOUT MOUSE and I cannot stop laughing about how I am not yet equipped to make grizzled characters apparently

One day I may try again or perhaps I’ll convince myself that he looks less boy-scout-y and hope people will think the same 👀

So I thought I had this post scheduled for Wrath’s bday but I must’ve done something wrong because girlie’s still sitting in my drafts and I don’t go on tumblr enough to notice 😅 So I thought, maybe I’ll wait until I have some time to post it, or if there’s a relevant time to (like if they made her season 1 free like for other characters) or maybe it’ll even come down to waiting a whole year until her birthday comes up again.

But seeing all the news lately with lovestruck, I have scrapped the whole caption I had planned here. I was gonna write a whole sappy thing on this post but then it got too long and I wanted the spotlight to stay on my girl Wrath so I guess long post (a first for me on this blog!) coming soon maybe? (if i don’t chicken out)

It’s kind of fitting, in a way- when I started reading lovestruck, the newest story to come out next was Sin With Me and Wrath and Darius’ route. And thus, we come full circle as a SWM character may potentially be one of the last LS character figurines I make and post (I have a few I’d made already that are almost done but I haven’t had time to finish them up- might just post them unpolished as a farewell but again we’ll see!)

Hello!! Ooh that sounds fun I'm excited! I've never really read any D20 fics before... The most recent season I watched was Misfits and Magic and I really loved the friendship and dynamics between the 4 PCs as the new kids to magic school and thoroughly enjoyed the way they added like the "common sense" element to dunk on everyone using magic for silly things... so yeah anything MisMag would be lovely! After them my fave group of friends are the Bad Kids (though I haven't seen sophomore year so it'd have to be just within the first season!). I just love friendships 😊

WIP THURSDAY! Featuring Lovestruck and Dimension 20 characters 💘🎲

Hi everyone! I meant to post this a lot earlier but you know... life. Anyways, it was Maxime’s S1 finale today and oh my gosh you guys his route is so so good it is absolutely one of my top 5 routes in all of lovestruck. Please leave a review if you’ve read him! I absolutely need so many more seasons of such a lovely and wonderful route (and MSC is such a great series I’m loving all the routes so far!)

So my latest WIP is currently back at home and far away from where I am but I quickly snapped some low quality pics before I left so because of that, I just took some group shots so in addition to showing off the beautiful merman himself, Maxime, from the app Lovestruck, I’ve also got 3/4 of the misfits from the Dimension 20 show Misfits & Magic! You can only see Jammer’s wand but I made make each of these kids their final wands. Dream’s not made yet but that’s because I’m still deciding which outfit of hers to choose- there’s so many! Let me know if you have ideas 😊

Mismag is one of my favorite D20 seasons so far and I truly love all the PCs- I can’t choose a favorite! I’m so so sad it was only 4 episodes- I hope to see more of them in the future!

D20 Anon again. I can’t wait to see the Misfits & Magic crew in sculpture form - they were so much fun!! I think if you’re gonna do Dream/K the final K outfit makes the most sense, but every one was so good. I still think Terminator 2 is the best damn name a familiar has been given in a tabletop game 😂

The Seven has been great, you should have fun when you catch up! I’m hoping for an announcement on another core cast season soon though, because I am going through some strong Emily Axford withdrawal.

And while I’ve got you - do you happen to take commissions or sell your figures at all? Because 👀 I would certainly drop some dollars

Great to hear from you again! MisMag was so good I devoured all 4 episodes all in one go and was absolutely devastated when it ended I so wish there was more!

And as for Dream/K's outfit I debating between their first outfit and the last but I will say I like her last outfit the best because I do love me some pink 🎀

And omg yes love Terminator 2- Sam was absolutely so precious. I wish we got to see more of their familiars because Theodore and Jammer's basketball were so fun too 😊

I think I'll definitely get around to watching The Seven all in one go like I did for MisMag and I am so ready for the chaos 😂 and yeah I'm surprised we've gone so long without seeing the core cast but all these side quests have been so fun! I would like to see them all back in a new series though, even though I know people have been hoping for Fantasy High Junior Year but I haven't even finished Sophomore Year yet so I just don't want to be even further behind 😂

Actually that is so perfect that you mention D20 (did not know that the venn diagram of people who like lovestruck and people who watch D20 included another person besides myself but hey that's so great!!) because I was actually watching Misfits & Magic when I was crafting and I ended up making Jammer, Sam, and Evan from there too so they're part of my WIP pictures 😄 I didn't make Dream yet because I was debating on which outfit I'd make them in (she went through so many!)... any thoughts??

I've only been able to catch the first episode of The Seven so far but I keep watching the shorts that D20 puts out on youtube and Nonna Wa-lla-che is my fave and I love that so much 😂. But even from episode 1 everyone captured my heart (as is normal for D20 series) so those lovely ladies are definitely next on my "To Make" list!

Happy birthday to Razi from Havenfall is for Lovers ✨🎈💙

That’s right I’m back for a limited time only to celebrate one of my favorite characters in this whole app! Razi’s truly one of the best and I wish Lovestruck had more characters like him. Razi’s main character trait is that he is kind and caring, something that is unfortunately lacking in a lot of stories, both in lovestruck and in the genre in general. Don’t know why more people aren’t into stories like that but they’re truly my favorite and I highly recommend checking out his route- I believe next Tuesday his first season will be free to play (that is, it won’t require tickets) and that’s a great time to get sucked into 8 wonderful seasons with this man! I know I definitely will be replaying his route.

Hazel, Ms. Mistress of the Forge 🔥🪓

Now with some Hazel love! Hazel is one of my favorite side characters and I always love that first scene in every route when MC meets her again and they get reunited (and it feels so good 🎶). Hazey + Freckles forever ❤

~~~Fun sculpting facts~~~

Lots of fun facts about making Hazel! As with all the Reigning Passions characters I’m doing, I’m making sure to pay a lot of attention to their outfits to make their figure as detailed as possible. And clearly she’s wearing overalls but at the time for some reason my brain was like “what if it’s just an apron” so that sort of how I made the back of her outfit but it doesn’t really make any sense ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oh well! My brain was tired 😂

Also as soon as I started to paint on freckles my brain turned off for a second and just went crazy so there are a few too many freckles on there then I’d like, but I still really like how she turned out! Her hair is my fave 😊❤

Quince, the Master of Coin💰

Yall- I love Quince so much! Yet another side character who has so much potential as an LI but LS definitely will just let him be... anyways I adore Quince and his character design is so beautiful it makes me cry. I mean just look at it! The hair, the dress, the accessories!!! He just looks so glorious and I am always so happy whenever he appears.

~~~Fun facts about the sculpting process~~~

Though I have been loving making these super detailed characters, since the final product just makes me so happy, sometimes the process can be a bit tedious! But even with all the little details of Quince’s character design, I actually really enjoyed adding each little part and seeing it all come together. Must be because I love Quince so much ❤

Oh and I remember running out of black clay as I was making his hair and truly just using the very last scraps to make the beard so that was interesting 😂

Sascha Orosco- the demon undertaker🔥😈

I usually post on season finale days but I thought why not switch it up and post on a season premiere day instead!

Currently Sascha is the only LI from Wicked Lawless Love that I’ve made, as it was per a request, so I did not have much plans for how I wanted to make the WLL characters, but I just thought I’d try my hand at trying to make the full-bodied, detailed design like I have for the Reigning Passions characters because the WLL character designs are also super complex! And I knew I wanted to make them in their supernatural form, because that’s the fun part about the story!

Super pleased with how he turned out- I knew I still wanted to try and make the gold trim out of clay instead of paint so it’s not totally accurate (since some parts were way too small for me to make) but I’m glad I was able to make it out of clay! And I like how his hair turned out, even if it’s a bit different from what it actually looks like- I tried to recreate that ombre-color he’s sporting with a new technique I was trying out. It worked out ok, but I’d like to try something different next time I make ombre hair and see if it turns out better!

Trial and error friends- that’s the way to go sometimes!
