Hello how are you can I request a Thomas imagine tmr!modern au when the reader is not good in math and her crush Thomas help her and confess his feelings for her ? 😌😅
thursdays (modern au)
pairing: Thomas x fem!reader
requested by: @hope92100
word count: 1k
warnings: some cursing
other stuff: none
description: thomas gets recruited to help the reader with math
Tumblr media
Y/n sat in her math class as everyone was leaving for lunch. Her teacher had asked her to stay after so that they could talk. Y/n knew she wasn't doing well in the class and she was worried about what the teacher could want to discuss.
As the last few students were filing out, one came in. Thomas, the same Thomas who Y/n had been crushing on for what felt like forever.
"You wanted to see me?" Thomas asked the teacher, as he was walking in.
"Yes, Thomas, come in, come in. Have you met Y/n?" She motioned to Y/n who was still sitting at her desk.
"Uh, yeah, briefly." Thomas replied, his eyes lingering on Y/n.
You see, Y/n had known Thomas's friend, Newt, for as long as she could remember, so when Newt was showing Thomas around the school when Thomas first came, she was one of the first people Thomas was introduced to. Unfortunately, nothing ever really came of their relationship, no friendship or romantic relationship (the latter is what Y/n had wished for more, though she wouldn't say no to a friendship).
Now it's not like Thomas disliked her or anything, nothing ever really happened. If they had ever been paired up for a project or something (though this never happened), they would have been friendly, but that would have been strictly about the project. Y/n couldn't really imagine them actually having conversations (though on the other hand, that's all she ever imagined). Y/n became lost, recalling what she had wished had become of her relationship with Thomas, but she quickly returned to reality when she heard her name.
"Y/n here hasn't been doing too well in my class, and well quite frankly, Thomas, I've seen you helping your peers out whenever they don't understand. Anyway, I was hoping to ask you to extend that helpful hand out of your own math class and towards Y/n. I'm asking that you would tutor her once a week. I can call parents to let them know this is happening and figure out what day of the week works best for you and-"
"I'll do it," Thomas interrupted her rambling. "I'll extend my helpful hand," he kind of said this bit under his breath, seeing as he was partially making fun of what the teacher had said, but Y/n still heard it, and laughed from her seat. Thomas heard her and he looked to her with a cheeky smile.
...
Since then, Thursdays had become Y/n's favorite day of the week. It was the day, after all, where she was guaranteed time with Thomas.
"Hey Y/n, we're planning on doing something tonight, we're thinking bowling or roller skating or something. Wanna come?" Y/n's friends approached her at her locker.
"I can't, guys, I have-"
"A date with Thomas, how could I forget?" Her friend rolled her eyes.
"It's not a date," she practically scolded her friend for even saying the word, "he's just helping me with math, you know that."
"No, I'm not just going to blow him off! I'm sorry that I've liked him for a long time and I think that this might be my only chance to actually make something happen!" She yelled in frustration. She wasn't actually mad, and her friends knew that. The three never seemed to get mad at each other, they got frustrated, sure, but rarely were they genuinely mad.
"Come on, Y/n, can't you blow him off for one day?" Her other friend asked.
As Y/n grabbed the last of her things, and shut her locker, she saw Thomas in the corner of her eye. She turned back to her friends, her eyes wide.
"Shit! Do you think he heard me?" She asked, her voice only a whisper now.
"I dunno, Y/n, I mean the hallway's pretty crowded, and people are talking, but you were pretty loud."
...
Y/n got to the library before Thomas that day. She sat down at their usual table and pulled out her textbook and a notebook. She began working on some problems from her book, doing what she could without help.
After what had happened in the hallway, she decided to act normally when Thomas got there, hoping for the best. When Thomas did get there a few minutes after her, she noticed that he was acting normal, so she considered it a bullet dodged.
"What're you working on?" Thomas asked her, looking at her paper.
"Oh, um, this is what we were doing in class today. Does it look right?" She handed him her paper.
"How about while I look over this, you solve this for i, sound good?"
"Sure, this one's easy." She answered, looking down at the sheet he gave her. The equation was 9x-7i>3(3x-7u).
She thought through the process. First, she distributed the three, subtracted 9x from both sides, etc. Once she was done, she chuckled to herself about the answer. It read 1<3u.
"What?" Thomas cracked a smile at her chuckling. She felt butterflies in her stomach as she thought up how to explain it to him.
"It's just-" she began to explain it, but he interrupted her.
"I like you too, Y/n."
"W-what?" Her eyes got wide.
"Sorry, I just... I heard you in the hallway earlier and I couldn't really think of how to tell you so..."
"You don't have to apologize! I just wasn't really expecting you to actually like me back I guess."
"Are you kidding? You're funny, creative, considerate... any guy would be lucky to have you!"
"I guess that makes you pretty lucky then, doesn't it?"
"I suppose so," Thomas replied, blushing a little. The two went back to work, both with smiles on their faces.
"So," Y/n began after a bit of silence, "the answer was on purpose?"
"Yeah..." Thomes gave an awkward laugh, rubbing the back of his neck, "kind of nerdy, huh?"
"Not at all, I thought it was cute!" She said, but he gave her a look. "Okay, maybe it was a little nerdy."

I feel like James Potter isn't really a reader, but if he meets someone who is then he could become one. Like I feel like James is the type of person to read the book he sees his crush/significant other reading just to impress them.
And then when they're dating he would totally be the type to read aloud to his S/o and use different voices for characters and shit.

I will never say no to an Edmund Pevensie fic 🙈🙈
perfectly decent
pairing: Edmund Pevensie x fem!reader
requested by: anon
word count: 1.4k

other stuff: we're just going to pretend that the boys and girls go to the same school and it's not a boarding school; also, WWII isn't happening in this; B/n means boy's name
description: edmund watches as his best friend catches feelings for a guy who doesn't reciprocate them
Tumblr media
"Hurry up, Y/n, we're going to be late," Edmund called to his friend.
"I'm working on it," she called back, struggling with her books as they walked across the lawn towards their school building.
"I offered to help you," Edmund responded, laughing, "but you were all 'no, I can hold my own books. I'm a strong, independent woman who doesn't need a man blah blah blah.'" Y/n rolled her eyes in response. You see, Edmund and Y/n have known each other for as long as they can remember. They've been friends for what feels like forever. They grew up together (their moms were both friends in school) and they were always in the same classes. Y/n was friends with the rest of the Pevensies, of course, but it wasn't the same as with Edmund. She and Edmund had always clicked.
After school that day, Y/n was sitting at the Pevensie's kitchen table doing homework with Edmund, when Lucy and Susan came into the room to grab a snack.
"What about you, Y/n?" Lucy asked as if Y/n had been a part of their whole conversation.
"What about me?" Y/n responded, glancing up from her homework. Edmund tuned his sisters out (as he usually did), and continued his homework.
"Do you fancy any of the boys at school?" Lucy clarified her question. This got Edmund's attention and his head shot towards Y/n. She had never told him about any crushes. Then again, that's not the sort of thing the two of them would talk about. Y/n looked away, smiling, and Susan and Lucy gasped, rushing towards the table.
"Who is it?" Susan demanded.
"It's B/n..." she replied with a smile. B/n was in the same grade as Edmund and Y/n. However, Edmund knew that B/n liked a different girl and not Y/n. Edmund didn't have the heart to tell her, though.
At lunch a few days later, Y/n was sitting across from Edmund telling him a story when she noticed that he was looking past her.
"What is it," she asked, turning around. "Oh," she said, her voice barely a whisper when she saw B/n. He was sitting with a girl, his arm around her shoulder and she was laughing.
"You alright?" Edmund asked her as she turned around to finish her lunch.
"Yeah, I'm okay." She finished her lunch in silence.
After lunch, the two went back to class, where their teacher announced a project where they would be working in pairs. Y/n and Edmund glanced at each other and gave each other a look that meant "let's work together." The teacher must've noticed this silent exchange because the next words that came out of her mouth were "and I've already chosen the groups."
There was a collective groan around the room as it seems many others had had similar ideas as Y/n and Edmund. The teacher ignored this and began reading out the groups. Y/n and Edmund waited in anticipation as she read out more and more names that weren't either of theirs, hoping that she had paired them together (though it wasn't likely).
"Y/n and B/n," the teacher read. Y/n looked at Edmund as if to say "sorry." She wasn't really very sorry at all though. She didn't really know how to feel. Should she be excited? Nervous?
Her thoughts were cut short, however, as the teacher finished reading off the names and announced that they could find their partners and begin brainstorming.
"You're Y/n, right?"
"That's me," she looked up at B/n who was standing by her desk. "And you're, B/n?" She knew the answer, but still asked so as to not seem like a stalker.
"Yep," he said, pulling up a chair to sit down.
"Right, so do you have any ideas so far?" Y/n asked him.
That day, Y/n and Edmund decided to walk home, as it was a nice day and it wasn't very far. Y/n, of course, was ranting all about her conversation with B/n.
"He's just the perfect guy, you know? He's kind, and funny, and creative."
"And he has a girlfriend," Edmund reminds her.
"He doesn't actually!" she informed him, "he hasn't asked her out yet! Isn't that wonderful?"
Edmund muttered some response but she paid him no mind and continued her rant.
A few weeks later, the class was working towards the end of their projects.
"Can I ask you a question, Y/n?" B/n asked her. Immediately, she began coming up with all sorts of questions he could ask her.
"Yeah, sure!" she replied.
"If I wanted to ask a girl out, how do you think I should go about doing it?" It wasn't the question she was expecting, but it wasn't the worst case. He hadn't specified any names so he could be preparing to ask her out.
"Yeah, cause I have so much knowledge in that area," she stated sarcastically and he laughed.
"Well if you wanted to be asked out, how would you want them to go about doing it?"
She proceeded to give him a couple ideas, which he thanked her for, and the two went their separate ways.
Edmund caught up with Y/n in between classes and asked her how it had gone with B/n.
"It was good," she answered him. And it had been.
The two decided to walk home again that day. They hadn't gotten too far out of the building when B/n came running after them calling Y/n's name.
"Y/n!" He called and she whipped around. "She said yes! Thanks for all of your help!"
"That's great! I'm really happy for you!" She said with a fake smile.
He nodded before giving her a small "goodbye" and leaving. She turned on her heel and began walking away quickly. Edmund took a few steps to catch up with her.
Y/n felt tears begin to well up in her eyes. She had no one to blame but herself. She couldn't blame him for having feelings for someone else. It still hurt, though. They walked in silence for a while.
They had gotten nearly halfway home when it began raining.
"Great," Y/n muttered, "it's raining."
"It's alright, it's only drizzling." They walked in silence for a little more until Edmund said, "penny for your thoughts?"
"I guess I just don't really understand why he would go through all of that trouble when there was a perfectly decent girl right in front of him."
"Will you stop doing that?" Edmund exclaimed, freezing in his steps and startling Y/n a little with his tone.
"What?"
"Stop selling yourself short! You're more than decent. You're bloody amazing and if he can't see that then too bad. But you need to stop putting yourself down so much, okay? You're one of the best people I know, okay..."
Y/n realized that she had spent so much time trying to be the girl that B/n wanted when in reality, she already had Edmund and he was a better man than B/n would ever be.
"And I'm not just saying that because you're my friend or because you had a crappy day. You are kind and funny, and any guy would be lucky to have you…"
"Shut up," she said, cutting him off with a kiss as the rain began to come down harder.
"Now we really have to go," she giggled at the sight of Edmund soaking wet.
Edmund grabbed her hand and the two began to run home.
"Watch the puddle!" Y/n yelled at Edmund.
"You mean this puddle?" He asked, running right through it and splashing her with water.
"Edmund!" She shouted, giggling.
Finally, the two got to the Pevensies' house, where they had to wait on the front porch until Mrs. Pevensie fetched them towels. Once they got towels and were able to go inside, the two sat down at the table as Susan began making them some hot cocoa.
"Edmund, I told you this morning that it would rain today and that you shouldn't walk home," Susan scolded him.
"Did you? Must not have been listening," Edmund smiled at her cheekily and she sighed.
"I heard about what happened with B/n today, Y/n. I'm sorry." Lucy said to her.
"It's alright, I'm over him." She smiled knowingly at Edmund.
