Finally, after some years, I decided to release my full-lenght brand new album called "A New Begin". Inspired by the retrowave genre and the synthwave sounds, "A New Begin" is forged and sculptured to evoke a dreamy sense of nostalgia; it's represent a voyage into the iconic sounds of the Eighties: full of fat and crispy synthesizers, electronic and synthetic beats, iconic sawtooth bass lines, everything combined with special and romantic flavours and airy glam-rock guitar solos.

Thanks to STRANGER THINGS 4 this song has been rediscovered and like a Pandora's box, thousands of covers, remixes and rearrangements have come out. So, here my cover of RUNNING UP THAT HILL (A DEAL WITH GOD) by the stunning KATE BUSH <3. Few days ago I composed my own cover trying my best to create something that sounds “80-ish” but little more modern and a bit fresh without dare too much or to go further, but maintain the same atmosphere of the original track.

I was more than a teenager when I discovered this song within a compilation of 80s ballads. I always fascinated by those synthesizers and dreamy but melancholic atmosphere.

So few days ago I tried to made my own cover by ears. As always, I tried my best to create something that sounds very "80-ish" (from synthesizers to the drums), driven by passion and respect for Benjamin Orr.

As you know (if you follow my post) I'm not a singer and I don't pretend to be that, also my tone is low for this genre. Btw I spent long time to edit, slice and pitch the right vocal correction (I hope it served a bit XD).

Quarantine day 28. There was a woodworm in my head: compose a track in perfect "Hotline Miami" style, with action and a touch of violence.

So I close myself into my home studio, composing “MIAMI RUSH” with Reason Studios 11. There are a lot of synthesizers inside, there are many blasting beats and a bit of claustrophobic melody lines. Even this production will go into my new album “A NEW BEGIN” a @retrosynth work in development now.

It was June when I composed this track. I remember all the hours spent to catch that sound, to improve my skills, to understand some composition mechanics. I wanted to create a #retrowave track, to express my feelings and transform my these feelings into music.

It was hard but it was funny. I lost many hours of sleep; it was recurring as a nightmare, it was a torment like an insane love, but was my mission.

"OTHERWORLD RUNNERS" represent my own thought about the #synthwave music: #80s flavours, neon lights, dozen of #synthesizers and a lot of passion.

It's late tonight here in #Italy, but I don't care, I'm pretty proud to show you my #NewRetroWave style track.

A very special thanks to 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶́𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗮 (𝑆𝑎̃𝑜 𝑃𝑎𝑢𝑙𝑜, 𝐵𝑟𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑙), for the awesome photo; it represent totally what the album is talking about, the atmosphere and globally the feelings I was searching of.

Hi Tumblrs, let me show you “FOREIGN LOVERS” my new retro wave style track. "FOREIGN LOVERS" is a romantic, nostalgic, a bit dark and sad instrumental track who talks about love, freedom and ignorance. I composed this in few days (I’m very inspired in this period) with my own Reason 10.4 (waiting for bucks to update to Reason Studios). I tried to compose the track so that it sounded “80s” as much as possible, and I get this final result. I edit some scenes from “CHINA GIRL” by Abel Ferrara, a dramatic love story and cult movie of ‘87, ‘cos there were so perfect for my aim. I think that are pretty pleasant together. Hope you like it. Hi tumblrs, I’m back again to handle my vapourwave/synthwave stuffs, so let me present a sample of the track I’m working on: “FOREIGN LOVERS”. It’s only a preview made by intro+verse, but the nostalgic and romantic atmosphere is almost perfect here to me. I like how a touch of sadness chill and melt the heart... Hope to finish it very soon and hope you like this demo, of course. I want to say that nothing is EQ or mixed at all, and this does not represent the final sculptured-sound... Well this will be (probably) finalized with Reason Studions - Reason11. Who following me, knows why and how I love Propellerhead Software ;) Today Yamaha celebrates their own 45 years of “Yamaha Synthesizers” in their Headquarter in Japan... it seems right to me to pay respect to those who inspire our lives with new sounds and colors every day ! <3 <3 <3 Have a nice retrowave day guys!

This is how I live my “second youth” thanks to the new synthwave and the new retrowave era. It’s kinda I have to relive again the eighties. The flavour of neon lights, the vivid colours, the great dreams melted with a bit of sadness and nostalgia. Seriously I’m addicted to this phenomenon. In the past, I’ve composed short synthwave/retrowave tracks for my “Things Are Stranger” mini-album. So I faced to this kind of fashinating electro-pop compositions, but now I wanna create something of more lenght and particular. So it was three days (and nights) that I was in my studio infront of my keyboard and a black screen. I wasn't searching for inspiration ‘cos the romanticism guided me through the notes. In a couple of hours I got the melodies and setted up the synths to shake and crumble the hearts. I named this WIP track “Otherworld Runners”, ‘cos I imagined a sad and evocative atmosphere, in which certain people are forced to leave everything behind, towards new shores and horizons unknown to them. So melancholy and a sweet’n’catchy melody that speaks to the heart of the listener, are the main ingredients of the track. It’s in WIP (so half mixed and equalized, and yet unfinished), but I like how it sounds at the moment. Please share and support my project.
