Alright *cracks knuckles* I have beef with Miraculous Ladybug

And before you get all huffy read the whole. Damn. Thing.

At first it was cute. And kinda funny to watch Adrien and Marinette be the way they are. It was different watching a character pine for someone who was also in love with them back but had no clue that the first character is the same character as the one the second character loves because of secret identities. Now it's annoying. I'm tired of it.

They've proven time and time and time again Adrien and Marinette cannot be together. I had my hopes up for all of two seconds with Plagg and Tikki took the miraculous back to let them be together.

And then foolishly Alya and Zoë left their fucking smart rings on. And now Hawk Moth slash Shadow Moth slash Monarch knows about them. And it's about to cause the end of the world for the fourth fucking time.

I get it okay. I hear it in the fucking intro. "The power of love always so strong." But it's not. It's literally their weakness. We saw what happened when Joan of Arc and her era's Cat Noir abandoned their duties for love. It went real bad.

We've seen three times already why Adrien and Marinette simply cannot be together. So why do the writers keep doing this? Why do they keep spinning up false hopes? The whole point of the show is to learn to control your emotions and not give into negativity.

And yet here the writers are pulling a bait and switch on the audience again. It's starting to get up there with the bullshit the CW pulled on us but it's not quite. The only reason the CW was worse was because of the obvious narrative, the SCREAMING subtext and the gaslighting.

It's infuriating to watch this happen over and over. It's almost to the point I want to put the show down and not come back until it's done or the writers abandon this trope.

Strange sadness

Ever since the news about the new Avatar movie came out, I get this strange sadness mixed with regret and anger whenever I think about the movie, that I see an ad, that I hear people talking about it. Not that I was not excited about it! I even made a bingo card (did not get a bingo). Watching it was the one thing I wanted to do during winter break. Yet this cocktail of emotions did not go away. In fact, it got worse when the images for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 came out. I was so confused by these emotions. At first, the only link I could find was:

Aliens???

...none of which would explain why I felt like crying at the thought of these movies. Even weirder when you think that I've waited for so long for these two sequels to come out... Or maybe not that weird.

When Avatar came out, I went to see it at the theatre. In fact, it was pretty much the first not-a-children's movie I got to see in a theatre. Remembering the date, it makes a lot more sense. My life was turned upside down in December 2010. It turned right side up again about a year later, but still. There was a moment people thought I was going to be lost. So the announcement of the sequel was before my life was "broken". I was already looking forward to it, even if it seemed like it would be in a very, very distant future. Now, onto Guardians of the Galaxy. I watched the first one as a teen with my friend, at her home. We bonded over it in the last few years. After I learned that the third one would come out in 2023, I thought "Cool, I'll be nearly done with my bachelor's degree, I'll be able to see it with my friend". Except I'm not and I'm not sure I will. (Just in case she reads this, know that I really, really want to.) After small traumas, burnouts, hospitalization and 1-2 undiscovered health problems, I'm just restarting my second year of uni... out of 4 1/2. Including mandatory summer semesters.

I'm nowhere I thought I would be when I first found these movies. It feels as if time slips away and these sequels finally coming out feel like a deadline, or the end of something I wasn't ready for. So I have to remind myself that this isn't the end. Well, it is the end of the GotG franchise, but it's not the end for me. I can still get somewhere nice, in my own time. And maybe make fanfics along the way.

Controversial anon checking back in! And I guess I just wanted to vent? So here goes: I find the gaylor community over at twitter extremely annoying; and I’m not talking about Kaylors (I think we Kaylors are a separate branch altogether).

Most of those gaylors will literally “ship” Taylor with every woman she interacts with and it makes me uncomfortable because isn’t that exactly what hetlors do when Taylor is seen near a man? Why is it ok to do because it’s with women?

The “anyone but Karlie” mentality is out of control because even though her songs talk about a long-standing, committed relationship those gaylors will say Kaylor was a situationship (!!!) and Taylor was hooking up with other women all the while. Oh and she also somehow found time to reconnect with Dianna also? Like they ride hard for Toë even though Zoë is questionable at best; they shipped Taylor with Phoebe because of some necklaces? And best believe if she’s seen with another attractive woman the shipping will start all over again.

Like I’m sorry but even though people call us Kaylors conspiracy theorists I prefer that over calling Taylor a womanizer/polyamorous or whatever the hell even though her lyrics describe her as the exact opposite… anyway rant over. I’m glad we Kaylors have our own space because it’s crazy out there.

I still can’t believe that Hange MF Zoë told an injured Levi to live together while he was asleep. I still can’t believe that Levi MF Ackerman actually listened to Hange and told them that he knew them and knew they can’t be out of the action. I still can’t believe that Hange MF Zoë blushed after hearing Levi MF Ackerman listened to their rant. I still can’t believe Hange said they actually thought on moving on and leave everything behind….When we know that Hange didn’t want to leave someone behind. I still can’t believe people don’t think they were precious people to each other. And I still can’t believe Levi and Hange didn’t get to continue their journey until they were old and grey.

The Afterparty: Sebastian

This week’s episode was a lot of fun and my favorite so far of the season. A lot of ground was covered and new theories have emerged so this will be another long post. Starting off with the “Not ___” clue (shoutout to the subreddit for getting it so quickly omg). SPOILERS AHEAD

“Not By Camels Milk”

I don’t know what to make of this clue because when I looked up kumis/koumis, the results said that it’s milk from a donkey and not camel’s milk as stated by Ulysses in the first episode. I doubt the writers would make a mistake while researching it so it’s hard to say what this means. Are they trying to insinuate that Ulysses is a fraud? Isabel made an offhand comment about him always boasting about his travels. But let’s say that it is koumis: Edgar refused to drink it at the rehearsal dinner and after Aniq spit it out I assumed that there wouldn’t be much if any left. Maybe later on in the evening Edgar and Ulysses come to some sort of agreement that was sealed with Edgar taking a sip of the koumis. Ulysses is kind of going higher up on my list now because this is starting to get suspicious.

Confirmed Theories

As always Reddit was on it because four long-standing theories were confirmed:

•The wedding staff were in on the heist

•Sebastian kidnapped Roxana to open the safe

•Sebastian was the naked man

•SEC4 meant Edgar, Sebastian, Connect 4 and was a record of their scores

A lot of people suspected Sebastian was secretly Australian instead of British so the reveal he’s actually American is so funny to me 😂 And omg at Yasper’s brief appearance! That was a perfect little tie in to last season. Also I knew Travis wasn’t lying about being knocked out! It just didn’t seem like something he’d lie about. After watching the episode twice these are my thoughts:

Theory 1

I 100% think that Edgar calling everyone devils in that rant was because he knew their secrets and now I see that he himself is a devil as well it will be interesting to see how this will all tie in at the end. When Isabel told Sebastian to tell Edgar she remembered everything it gave me a feeling that Edgar might have actually been the one to poison his father. And as I write this I’m starting to wonder if maybe Edgar tried to poison someone that evening and then accidentally poisoned himself instead. If he’s killed someone before he probably got too cocky this time and accidentally offed himself instead. There’s a theory that Edgar has been drugging Isabel and tbh I’m starting to believe it because if he did kill his father, that would be a good way of keeping his mother in line and preventing her from telling the truth. He and Hannah were really close up to a point so I can’t help but wonder if they did it together since it’s Hannah’s garden that has all the poisonous plants. It’s just a vibe I’m getting but we’ll see.

Theory 2

Speaking of Hannah, I still think Grace killed Edgar and Hannah is covering for her. Like I’ve said before Grace is putting on this damsel in distress act and I wouldn’t be surprised if she were manipulating Hannah because she knows she’s in love with her. If neither are the murderer I think they planned to run away together after the wedding night with Edgar’s money since there was no prenup signed.

My current three suspects:

Grace because of all the lying and her playing Zoë like a fiddle the whole time ; Whether or not she’s also taking advantage of Hannah is unknown

Ulysses because I’m starting to think he’s a liar and after Edgar’s encounter with Vivian, she may have told him. That’s a pretty big motive because of how big a family secret it is (unconfirmed theory that he’s the father of Zoë and/or Grace)

Edgar as an accidental death caused by himself since he’s been shown to have that dark side and he already got bested by Sebastian with the card so he’s clearly not as intelligent as he thinks he is

• a military commander, but he doesn’t trust the government at all.

• i know how low hanging this fruit is, but it’s for a good reason!!

• when he’s at his family reunions, he’d be persuading people into joining the military.

• “listen, suzie, are you sure? why not give the military a chance? we allow you to sleep in until 6am!”

• his father was a military man, wanting to uncover the mysteries of the world. unfortunately, he died when on the battlefield. erwin joined the military later on to discover what his father never could.

• people feared him at first, but eventually they really lightened up to him and respect him greatly.

• one of the soldiers has a tiktok account and they post erwin and other soldiers doing weird things throughout the day.

• he watches all the shows/movies that his comrades recommend him!!

Hange Zoë :

• zookeeper or scientist. hell, why not both?!

• hange will talk to the lions like they’re their pets.

• “oh, albert, who’s a good boy? you are! yeah, you are!” “hange, you’re getting to close!!”

• moblit is tired of babysitting hange

• sings the animals songs from the 50s and does so in an accent, i just don’t know what accent it is, though. i don’t think it’d be an existing accent, just something hange made up!

• runs harmless experiments on the animals and is very dedicated.

• invites their friends to the zoo and introduces all of the animals to them.

• absolutely has named one of the animals after levi

• on the topic of levi-

• levi acts like he wasn’t listening to whatever hange was saying when they introduced him to the animals, but he actually was and he memorized all of the animals’ names <3

Levi Ackerman :

• i know he is a writer, also working as a janitor part time.

• he would write something like science fiction, mystery, or fantasy fiction. maybe even a mix of it all!!

• is known in the book community as the author that makes fans cry. he’s even cried while writing his books!

• idk why, but this ‘red swan’ cover gives off levi’s books vibe!

• his humor in his books don’t really land with others, but when hange read his books, they laughed so hard at the jokes.

• very sweet with fans, actually. unless if they take photos of him without his permission, he will turn the other way or stick his head into a book.

• at his janitor job, a student read his books and they eventually became friends. that student is armin :)

• he has a really hard time finding the right words to convey the emotions in his books, but he is determined to find a way to make it easier!!

• inspired characters off of hange and erwin! when they confronted him about it, he was like, “it’s a coincidence, asswipe”.

• has a tumblr he’s barely active on, but he does reblog fanart and the occasional rant.

• spends hours trying to find the perfect name for a character.

Moblit Berner :

• a zookeeper, standing beside hange.

• makes sure they don’t get their head bit off by a lion.

• probably also makes balloon animals for kids (and hange) and he is actually amazing at it!!

• once, hange’s glasses were off and they didn’t know. they saw one of moblit’s balloon animals and they ran experiments on them. they thought it was so groundbreaking about how their insides were only air. levi broke the news to them-

• if there is a tour bus at the zoo or something, hange would be the one usually talking. moblit would be making short remarks and be the “comedic, tired babysitter™️“.

Onyankopon :

Yelena :

• a little too good at her job

• like, she’s secretive about everything. even stuff she really doesn’t need to be sneaky about.

• whenever she needs something like a disguise, she’ll go to onyankopon for it (because he also specializes in costume making).

• if you’re into pieck x yelena, here’s something : pieck (even tho i don’t think she’d have this job, too) and yelena, enemies, got teamed up together for a mission. your basic enemies to lovers trope.

I'm doing a re-read of the Percy Jackson series and I'm on The Titan's Curse, just read the part where Bianca di Angelo joined the Hunters of Artemis. My views have 100% changed since I first read the book.

I remember thinking the Hunters were the coolest thing in the world and I would totally join them if only they were real. But I was also an 11 year old girl at the time. Now, I'm 17 and since realized my gender as a trans/non-binary person and I think the Hunters' views on sexuallity and gender are very... sexist? I don't know, they kinda disturb me.

I would definitely expect the whole "boys are icky and have cuties" thing from 10 year old girls, and I was once exactly like them, but the fact Artemis, a millenia old goddess, uses that to manipulate these literal children into making an oath and risking their lives for her. It feels like grooming.

Plus the fact that Artemis sees young women growing up as going astray (pg 37) and forgetting themselves I kinda hate as well?

Everyone has to grow up, at least in real life. It's perfectly normal and should not be vilified. This attitude towards sexuality is why people aren't taught how to do sex things safely, and end up with diseases or an unwanted pregnancy.

Plus, Zoë's attitude about that perfectly natural and healthy thing being the fault of all guys on Earth. It's the same attitude you see in some predatory dudes. That it's the girl's fault that they find her attractive and so it's her fault if something happens. It's not, by the way. It's not the guys' fault that some girls start feeling sexually attracted to guys.

It is perfectly fine to be aromantic and/or asexual, and I as an ace person understand if they want to never be with someone, but thinking that people who do feel sexual attraction have just "lost their way" or something is just wrong. Again, same attitude seen towards the queer community.

I'm still thinking about that one post I ranted about the elitism of writing fanfic off as 'less than' published lit. I think the reason I'm so salty about it is that I have read very, very good published lit, and I have read fanfiction comparable in quality. Thinking so does not mean I have 'brainrot'.

I love Cyrano De Bergerac and I've discussed its departure from the typical greek tragedy story structure. I love the Vorkosigan saga novels I've read and think Louis McMaster Bujold is an absolute master of writing conflict and resolving it. I've come to the conclusion that The Way of the Wind by Zoë Anderson Norris is a criminally unknown book that deserves a spot in high school english curriculums, it is that good. I have gone on, at length, about how the Hobbit trilogy is a bad faith adaptation that ignores what Tolkien valued in his own work for violent spectacle. I am no stranger to excellent literature, and analysis is one of the ways I enjoy them. And fanfiction, with its sea of authors who write out of passion and love, can absolutely match the caliber of these stories. Does all of it? No, and that's ok. Writing fanfiction is writing at its most accessible. But writing is writing, and people care about their craft, and others care about it too. And to say I'm a 'lost cause' because I enjoy seeing what people create out of love? How jaded you have become.

A/N: It's just a tad bit Suggestive.

Keigo knows what he's doing when he gives you one of his feathers on a string, saying that you can do with it what you will. Though he means it with an underlying tone that it's his reassurance that a part of him is always close to you, is also something to tease. He has amazing control over his feathers, often using the little one around your neck to tickle your nose or brush your collarbones. The gesture feeling more like Keigo caressing you from afar, which is sweet in your opinion.

But then Keigo has those days when he's being a vigorous pain in the ass and sometimes you wish you didn't accept the feather.

In the most inappropriate times and manner, the feather moves on the string to tease the spot before your ear. And often when the feathery thing strokes down your face to your chin, it feels like Keigo's fingers are purposefully giving you sweet touches to make you beg for more.

Obviously it was silly, a simple little feather was teasing you to death while you situated yourself more comfortably.

"Damn you Keigo! I'm gonna fucking kill him!" You curse to yourself before you hear a voice next to you.

"You call for me, little birdy?" And his tone is oh-so smug.

"You're a fucking tease Keigo and you know it!" You jab your pointer finger at his chest before you storm off, lucky when he had used the feather on you, you had been in your own private space at work. Now that you were at home though...

But you knew you wouldn't be so lucky in escaping him, because the minute you walked away from him, you felt the feather pulling you. Enough to make you turn but not enough to hurt, you groan and roll your eyes at Keigo, who tuts and makes a 'come hither' motion with his finger.

"I wasn't done with you yet, little birdy!"

There's no point, you just allow yourself to be pulled into his arms and dragged away to the bedroom, where you know a lot more teasing from Keigo will come.

I really don't get why the fandom edgelords hate Hanji so much. She invented the thunder spears and the thing to kill titans, she was the smartest member of the SC, she saved Levi's life and she was trying her best to fill her role as a commander. Her character is one of my faves in the whole story and she doesn't deserve all the slander.

In my opinion, they hate Hange because they are getting in the way of their ship. Majority of the people in this fandom cared more about the ships than the actual plot itself.

And from what I have observed, they collectively dismissed Hange's sacrifices and efforts, constantly reducing their character as Titan-obsessed scientist, someone who loves to f*ck Titans if they just could or some bullshits like that. Are you living in 2013, buddy?

Call it "Selective Reading." Those shippers are good at this. Ignoring Hange, erasing them because apparently, they are a hindrance lol.

But yes, Hange doesn't really deserved all these slanders. They never will.

They are more than just a ship material that you will just use cuz it'll be convenient for your ship (this can also be said to all AOT characters whose characters were twisted by shippers to fit their fanon interpretations and headcanons)

They are more than a crazy scientist who got nothing better to do. Like I said in my last post, your faves wouldn't survived if it wasn't for them. The plot wouldn't move if it wasn't for their experiments.

Hange is Hange. Don't butcher their character just because it favors you.
