Now that I'm home with the doc accessible I can give you a snippet of this one-shot! I got this idea last September, and now it's one of the WIPs I want to finish with the JB imaginary exchange

Oh, words aren’t a wind you can ignore, far from it, Jaime thinks once more. Brienne’s are like that warm autumn wind that suddenly remove the dull gray from a day, that brings warmth to bones tired from the cold and humidity, that puts blue back in the sky, highlighting the reds and oranges of the leaves in the trees. Brienne’s words are that hope for better days you get when you could think all warmth is gone from your world.

I'd love to add more about it here, but since I've got another ask, I'll add some meta in my other answer! Stay tuned!

I wouldn't say so for any of my fics as I usually tend to write a happy (or a least hopeful) ending with the only exception of "Never enough". However, there are some scenes and motives (usually those inspired by real-life experience) that "break my heart" and make me quite emotional whenever I think about them.

@zetaaa Unfortunately none of these negate the other. Catelyn is a victim of patriarchy and a perpetuator of it. She can accept Brienne as a warrior and then eye measure her new sister in law's hips for her worth as a wife.

She would have done anything in her power to save her daughters from the Lannisters whose interest was to marry them off for their benefit, and then would've married them off herself to benefit House Stark. Arya was already promised to a likely miserable match. She sees them as worth 'saving' from the Lannisters, but not from sacrifices that she deems as the duty of females to endure for their fathers and brothers - as she saw it for herself in her own youth.

And that is FASCINATING. Catelyn mourns Sansa's marriage to Tyrion, because she's made forever out of her reach by being made a Lannister (their enemy), but only God knows, if she had her, who she would have seen necessary to send her off to herself had they been a Stark ally instead of enemy, given the need for the House, and the interest of the male heir of the House, just like Arya's fate was already miserably sealed if Robb won and ironically the fall of House Stark and very painful loss of her mother saves her without her knowledge from the likely tragic fate her mother had already seen necessary to choose for her.

I thank my dear friend from “el otro lado del charco," the other side of the Atlantic😋 @zetaaa, my staunchest supporter and cheerleader in my fanfic and original works. I greatly depend on my Muses, which tend to wander on and off my mind. However, I should not lay all the blame on them, for when I had finally found the words for the next Stung by a Bee's chapter real-life said hello (nothing to worry about, just annoying bank stuff), and then last week, instead of editing it, I started knitting a set of table runners 😝

Where do you call home? bogotá, colombia. it's where i grew up and also where i live, and while it has many, many flaws, it will always be my home.

Favorite animal: DUCKS and DOGS. i love basically any animal ever but i really am partial to ducks and dogs

Cereal of choice: this is such a grandma answer but like granola? i used to like froot loops a lot as a child but i dont really have a cereal of choice and i barely ever eat it.

Are you visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner? I would say probably visual and auditory, but it changes every few years when whatever technique i use to pay attention stops working.

First pet: my first pet was a rabbit named lulu! i thought she was so cute but my parents didnt love it bc she would shit everywhere so we sent her to live with my grandpa and then she ran away :(

Favorite scent: i love the smell of bread, of books and the smell of grass just after it's rained. all three give me a lot of comfort.

Do you believe in astrology: not actively, but a lot of my friends who are into astrology tell me i fit in really well into the traits of my sign and the other stuff.

How many playlists do you have on spotify/apple music? i have 126 that i've made (and i have them organised into folders too 💀), and i follow some other ones.

Sharpies or highlighters? highlighters, i never use sharpies

Song that makes you cry? if you catch me at the right time, basically any song. i have a very emotional and personal connection to music, and i've cried to so many songs on so many different occasions it's hard to choose one which is why i have a playlist. however, i would say either 26 by paramore, a song that captured my inner turmoil very accurately, or seven by taylor swift , as it reminds me of my best friend. also summer from the four seasons by vivaldi because of portrait of a lady on fire.

Song that makes you happy? literally also any other song. but for this i would say sabes una cosa by luis miguel or take it easy by eagles.

And finally, do you write/draw/create? i do write, though im not too confident about it. i do love to crochet, and i also know how to knit and embroider.

Lovely @zetaaa requested a snippet from “Emergency exit” so here it is. I hope it’s not too confusing after only one chapter posted on ao3... but I’ll be happy to answer any questions! I hope you’ll enjoy =) 

Two days later her useless toad of a husband returned from the city. His arrival was announced by the sound of a car stopping at the gate. Roelle strode down the stairs on her way to the living room window which allowed a nice view of the main road and the garden. Selwyn found her with her nose glued to the glass, gaping critically at the fiancé he had brought from the mainland. The man was tall and unbelievably handsome, standing alone at the path leading to the house with a confused expression on his face. His golden hair needed some trimming to look presentable according to the government standards but the thing that attracted Roelle’s sharp gaze was something else.

“He was supposed to be handsome and agreeable…” She shook her head, turning back to face Selwyn. “And while he doesn’t lack in looks, he is a cripple.”

“Try to find a better one,” Selwyn said, defensively, taking out his casual clothes from the large wardrobe in the corner of the room.  He was in no mood for an argument. He only wished to finally get rid of his elegant suffocating suit and escape to his greenhouse to calm down after this ridiculous journey. “Now people know their value. It’s difficult to hire for field work, not to mention for a wedding.”

“But he’s a cripple,” Roelle insisted with a clear distaste in her voice. 

“So what?” Selwyn shrugged, unbuttoning his shirt. “It’s even better. Only true love would make you marry a one-handed man and if you need a divorce, it’s always a good reason.”

“Oh.” Roelle shot him a surprised look. She had always considered her husband a simple-minded muttonhead but from time to time even he could come up with something clever to say.  “I see the visit to the city did you some good. Now you’re thinking like a politician. Where did you find him?”

“At television.”

“What’s his name?”

“I guess it was Lannister… He’s an editor there or something.” Selwyn turned away so she could not see his face.

“Is he? He doesn’t even have glasses…” Roelle said, taking away his shirt. It was too expensive to trust him to fold it properly. “Did you sign a contract?”

“Hells, Ro. Our Brienne is not an old car for sale.”

“Those vultures from television will do anything for money! Did he tell you why he needs it?”

“Something about the journey around Essos,” Selwyn mumbled the first thing that came to his mind. The revelation at the ferryboat left him too drained and exhausted to ask any more questions about his future son-in-law and he wasn’t even sure he wanted to know the answers. 

“Yet another bloody traveller, greedy for my money. Human cruelty has no limits!” Roelle snickered. “And it’s all your fault, Sel. It’s because of your lenient parenting Brie is now carrying a bastard!”

“Not so loud, Ro,” Selwyn said preventively before she could start her usual rant criticising his every little move. “What will the fiancé think about us?”

“Who cares? Just bring him over here.” 

Selwyn sighed, casting the last resigned look through the window and suddenly froze. The damn fiancé was no longer waiting in front of the house but what terrified Selwyn the most, was the fact that the young man was nowhere to be seen. Fearing the worst, he shoved the suitcase with the money in his wife’s hands ordering her to hide it properly and ran out of the room.
