Ch. 1 - Into the darkness

"Good Afternoon Everyone, I'm glad that you are here today."

Masayang bati ng babaeng guide ng art museum sa amin at sinundan iyon ng mahabang pagpapaliwanag ng rules and regulations sa loob ng museum. Maaliwalas ang kanyang ngiti. Nagniningning ang mga mata at dinig sa kanyang boses ang galak at tuwa.

Hindi ko maiintindihan kung bakit ganoon na lang siya kasaya, samantalang ako ay ngawit na ngawit na sa kakatayo. Higit sampung minuto na din akong nakatayo dito. Init na init pa ako at halos dumikit na ang aking damit sa aking katawan nang dahil sa pawis dulot ng sobrang init dito. Ngayon lang ako na informed na may museum palang hindi air-conditioned. My pa-fake sosyal self is struggling at the moment, sa totoo lang.

I know ramdam na rin ng mga kaklase ko ang nararamdaman ko. Pero wala na kaming magawa, dahil mas matalim parin sa machete ang tingin sa amin ng aming adviser na nakatayo sa tabi ng babaeng guide kasama ang iba pang advisers ng ibang strand.

Field trip namin ngayon. Isang location lang dapat ang pupuntahan namin, iyon ay ang isang sikat na coconut plantation dito sa amin, kahit di ko naman alam kung ano ang connection nito sa strand kong HUMSS. Iyon ang inaakala ko. Dadalo rin pala kami sa isang bagong art museum three hours away mula sa plantation. And yes, wala pa kaming pahinga mula kanina sa paglilibot namin sa niyogan. Gusto ko nang mag wala. Pero no, dapat pa-angel muna ako ngayon.

Graduating ako this year, kaya kailangan clean record para walang sabit.

Naputol ang aking pagkatunganga nang maramdaman ko ang pag-vibrate ng phone ko. Nang tingnan ko kung ano iyon, chat lang pala ni Mikaela, kaibigan ko mula sa STEM na katabi lang naman ng grupo namin. Napalingon ako sa kanya at tinaasan siya ng kilay. Bakit ba naman kasi kailangan pang ichat kung puwede lang naman niya itong sabihin sa akin mamaya.

Nang mahuli niya ang aking tingin ay nginuso niya lang ang kanyang phone. Muling nag vibrate naman ang akin, nag send siya uli ng message.

Humarap muna ako sa aming adviser para masiguro na hindi sa akin nakapokus ang atensyon nito, nang sa ganon ay mabuksan ko ang chat sa akin ni mikaela. Nang makasigurong ligtas na ako sa macheteng tingin ni Ma'am ay kaagad ko nang binasa ang message.

"Asim tingnan ng adviser niyo"

Muli akong napalingon kay Mikaela. Pigil na itong tumatawa ngayon. Binaling ko naman ang atensyon sa aming adviser. Oo nga...tama siya... ang drawing kasi nitong kilay ay unti-unti ng nabubura at ang blush nitong fresh pink pa kanina ay putok na putok na ngayon. Pigil na rin ako ang ngumiti.

"Gaga" *sent*

"OKAY, ARE YOU READY TO EXPLORE THE WORLD OF VISUAL ARTS?"

Maligalig na sambit ng guide. Hindi ko na malayan ng tapos na pala ang briefing- este orientation nito sa amin.

Isang masiglang 'yes' naman ang sagit naming lahat at nag simula na kaming umusad sa loob.

Fifteen minutes na rin ang lumipas sa pag-iikot namin sa loob. To be honest, kahit pagod ako sa kakaikot sa niyogan kanina, ay medyo naibsan na itong nang makarating ako dito. Art is one of the things I'm passionate about. Kaya kahit malapit na akong sumabog sa inis kanina ay napapakalma parin ang ng mga artworks na nakikita ko. The oil paintings and unique sculptures na nadadaanan namin just evokes something in my heart.

There is just something so beautiful about art. Kasi, a simple picture can have different meanings, different stories, and different reflections depending on how you view it. If given a chance to live my life again, I would choose this...I will always choose art.

Sa pagpupuri ko sa mga artworks na nakadisplay, hindi ko namalayan na nahiwalay na pala ako sa ga kasama ko. Well hindi naman masyado, mga anim na lakad lang naman. Pero mukhang wala naman silang pakialam. So I grabbed this oppurtunity para umiba ng rota at para ma-enjoy ang paglilibot dito.

Binalikan ko ang dispaly ng mga oil paitings na nadaanan na namin kanina. Isang malaking kwarto na maraming pasikot-pasikot na para siyang maze. Oil paitings have a very special place in my heart. Hence, isa sa mga reason kung bakit si Van Gogh ang all-time favorite kong artist.

Though nadaanan na namin to kanina, I never really got the chance to capture every masterpiece sa loob noon dahil parang may kigwa ang guide kanina at nagmamadali.

Nang makarating na ako uli sa section ng mga oil paintings, I felt warmth. A smile crept on my lips. Looking at the portaits around me, most of them are made by local artists and I can't help myself but let joy trickle down to my toes. Iba't-ibang style ang nandoon pero mostly ay impressionism. If I could ever hold a brush again, impressionism parin ang uuwian ko.

Ever since in elementary and junior high, I've been active in our school's art organization. Madalas rin akong napapasali sa competitions and impressionism art has been my asset. I can express what I wanted to and pour my emotions into it. It was my resting place. It was like home. Not until that one night. The scariest night it will be. Remembering that, unti-unting nawala ang aking ngiti. It was a haunting nightmare. It was a burning misery and I will never forgive myself about it.

Isang malaking kalabog ang gumulat at siyang pumutol sa aking malalim na pagmumuni. Sa sobrang lakas nito ay parang andito lamang sa section iyon naganap. Dala ng kuryosidad ay sinubukan kong puntahan kung saan iyon galing. Hindi ko gaanong mawari at bakit bigla na lang akong nakaramdam ng lamig. Walking through the depths of the section, hindi ko maiwasang makaramdam ng kaba na para bang may biglang lilitaw sa harapan kong hindi inaasahan. But I didn't mind. The urge of finding out what it is, was stronger.

Huminga muna ako ng malalim at nagpatuloy. Wala masyadong tao dito sa section puwera lang sa dalawang guard na nakabantay sa entrace nito. Tahimik kaya nakakapagtaka nga naman ang ingay na iyon. Medyo na dismaya ako ng marating ko na ang dulo ng section pero bigo parin akong malaman kung ano o kung saan galing ang kalabog.

Napailing na lang ako at nagbalak na lang na hanapin ang mga kasama ko kanina, dahil for sure pag nalaman ng adviser namin na hindi nila ako kasama award ako pag-uwi. Hindi man lang umabot ng limang segundo ay may narinig akong sit-sit mula sa aking kaliwa na siya rin ikinagulat ko. Sa una ay inakala kong guni-guni lang iyon pero muling ko itong narinig, mas malakas. Kaya tinahak ko ang direksyon na pinagmumulan nito.

Medyo madilim na sa parte ng section na ito. Pagabi na rin kasi. Muli kong narinig ang sit-sit, mas malakas kesa sa pangalawa. Alam kong malapit na ako sa pinagmumulan noon. Pero in the end bigo parin ako, isang malaking pader na tinakpan ng isang malaking velvet curtain lang naman ang sumalubong sa akin. Napairap na lang ako. Uto-uto rin ako eh no?

Nang talikuran ko na ang pader ay narinig ko muli ang sit-sit. Iyon any sobrang lapit na sa aking pandinig na para ito ay binulong mismo sa aking tenga. Naistatwa ako sa aking kinatatayuan. Muli kong hinarap ang pader at hinawi ang velvet curtain. Isang malaking pinto na tansong door knob ang sumalubong sa akin.

Base sa hitsura nito masasabi kong luma na ang pinto dahil sa kulay nitong kayumangging kupas. Ang design nito na makikita sa mga baroque style interiors ay tapyas-tapyas na rin. Ang tansong door knob ay may gasgas na rin. May mga vandalism na rin ang pinto. Sa tuktok ng pinto ay naka-ukit ang 'Belamour'. Nakakapagtaka dahil sa pagkaka-alam ko ay bagong bukas ang museum na ito.

Nang subukan kong pihitin ang door knob, ay nabuksan iyon. Madilim sa loob. Binuhay ko ang flashlight ng aking phone at pinasadahn ng ilaw sa loob. Hindi ko alam kung anong nakain ko pero pinasok ko iyon. Isa iyong munting storage room.

Naaninag ko ang mga lumang painting na maayos nakalapag sa gilid. Ang bawat pader nito ay tinakpan din ng mahabang velvet curtains. Bukod sa mga paintings ay mayroon ding mga art supply sa gilid. Oil paints...medyo tuyo na rin ang iba. Sa isang sulok naman ay makikita ang isang malaking vase na pinaglagyan ng mga paint brush.

Nilapitan ko iyon para usisahin. Doon ko na rin na realize na may kahon din pala sa tabi nito.

Binuksan ko ang kahon para malaman kung anong nilalaman nito. Isang makapal na sketchbook, watercolor paints, lumang brush, isang charcoal pencil, at mga liham. Kinuha ko ang isa sa mga liham, kupas na ang tinta pero nababasa ko parin ang panimula nito. 'Mi Corazon'. Nang buklatin naman ang sketchbook, isang portrait ng isang dalaga ang bumungad sa akin.

Nagpalpitate ako bigla. Unti-unti akong binalot ng lamig. Hindi ko alam kung dala lang ito ng pagod or namamalikmatahan lang ako. Pero kamukha ko ang nasa portrait.

Hindi ko alam kung saan galing pero biglang nagkaroon ng malakas na hangin. Sa sobrang lakas ay nawawalan ako ng balanse. Nahihirapan rin akong huminga. Narinig ko ang malakas na pag-sara ng pinto. Ang lamig na bumalot sa akin ay napalitan ng takot. Sinubulan kong tumakbo tungo sa pintuan pero sa bawat hakbang na aking ginawa ay lalong-bumibigat. Nanghihina ang aking tuhod hanggang sa ako ay bumagsak.

Kahit anong gawin ko para muling makatayo, pakiramdam ko ay mas lalo lang akong hinihila pababa. Nanlalabo na aking paningin, nakaramdam na ako ng matinding pagkahilo.

Nagkaroon ako ng munting pag-asa nang makarinig ako ng sunod-sunod na katok mula sa pinto. Pero bago pa man ako muling makatayo ay nawalan na ako ng malay "SENYORA ALEIA!!!"

The conflict between Sagittarius and Virgo

I have written before about the signs that square each other in astrology and their conflicting energies. In this post I’m honing in on the Sagittarius-Virgo square. This conflict can play itself out within your own natal chart if you have planets in both Sagittarius and Virgo or between you and someone else. For example, if you have a Sagittarius Sun and a Virgo Moon you’ll experience this archetypal friction within yourself. Or, say that you are a Sagittarius Sun in a relationship with a Virgo Sun - then you’ll experience friction between yourself and the other person. I’m going go over hypothetical scenarios inspired by everyday life and my own personal experiences with this square. Needless to say, no one is only Sagittarius and only Virgo and people are more complex than these scenarios reflect. But it’s sometimes useful to simplify and generalize.

Scenario 1 (Sagittarius Sun – Virgo Sun)

Virgo: You should really think of improving your resume. I don’t think anyone is going to hire you with that photo; you need to look more put together. It’s only reasonable that you should take my advice on this.

Sagittarius: That’s just rude. Who are you to say?

Virgo: I actually know a great deal about how to properly construct a resume. You have to structure it a specific way or it won’t work out for you.

Sagittarius: Geez, professor nit-pick, I’ve not signed up for one of your classes.

Virgo: Do you want to have a chance of getting that job or not?

Sagittarius: You’re so stuck up - relax for once. It’s not as if the world is going to stop turning if I don’t. There are an abundance of opportunities out there, perhaps some that you can’t even conceptualize of yet. Lighten up; you don’t have to worry so much. It’s going to work out, and if it doesn’t, what the hell! It wasn’t supposed to.

Virgo: Would you at least listen to my points? You might learn something.

Sagittarius: If you could be more inspiring and less condescending I would. Honestly, your way of living seems so boring; I wouldn’t take advice from you because I think my life would suck if I did.

This is the conflict between the visionary optimist and the practical perfectionist. Sagittarius comes from a broad and philosophical outlook, which enables this sign to see the big picture. Sagittarius operates from a place of seeing life as a whole, of intuitive wisdom. Virgo comes from a more narrow and realistic point of view, which enables it to structure things efficiently and precisely. Virgo is usually a nit-pick that hones in on the specific approach to take and method of going about things. It can be very critical and obsessive over small things. Sagittarius is usually a blunt and honest to a fault. It’s known for being a truth teller and can be very passionate and bold in its statements. Virgo comes from a place of analytical dissection – Sagittarius comes from a place of intuitive knowing.

Scenario 2 (Sagittarius Sun – Virgo Moon)

Friend: I’ve been feeling so depressed lately. Everything feels heavy.

Sagittarius-Virgo: Yes, it seems to be a seasonal thing for some. Depression is so complex, but I think everyone has experienced it at some point in life. It’s inevitable. It will pass. How’s it affecting you? Are you sleeping well? Is your job too stressful?

Friend: I don’t know. I haven’t made any changes to my daily routine and I sleep ok. It’s just a feeling of meaninglessness and complete lack of excitement and hope. I’m just going through the motions of life. I hope it will pass, like you say.

Sagittarius-Virgo: That sounds horrible! We have to do something about it! We have to go out and have a good time and forget about ourselves for a while. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest. I just have to check my calendar and get back to you. I actually have trouble sleeping and made a doctor’s appointment to get a prescription for some sleeping pills.

Friend: Oh, I’m so sorry. I hope they’ll help. Perhaps it’s not good if we stay out late if you have trouble sleeping.

Sagittarius-Virgo: No, don’t be silly, of course we should! I can’t let this hold me back. Although perhaps I shouldn’t stay out past 11. That messes with my sleep cycle.

Friend: Ok…

As with every square relationship, this is a difficult one. The Sagittarius Sun wants to feed the spirit and lift the mood through expressing from a place of higher truth. Life is short and it’s meant to be lived. Humility is not a strong trait of this sign - life is an adventure that has purpose and meaning if one could only manage to catch some wind and fly. The Virgo Moon is analytical in temperament and needs to understand and control all of the practical components that go into making things work in life. The Sagittarius Sun is spontaneous and a bit careless in its self-expression. The Virgo Moon needs to plan and fuss over the details because if the physical processes that are essential to live a functional life aren’t working properly, it will suffer immensely.

Scenario 3 (Sagittarius Mars – Virgo Mars interaction)

Sagittarius: I booked a trip for us next month. I took advantage of the sale.

Virgo: You should’ve consulted me first. We have to plan out how everything is going to work out… I haven’t had the time to sit down and make a plan.

Sagittarius: What do you mean? You’re free the days I booked the trip and we talked about how nice it would be last night.

Virgo: You talked about it, I didn’t object to it but I have so much to do and I can’t take my mind off some things that I have going on right now.

Sagittarius: All the more reason to go, I’d say. Come on, it’ll be fun!

Virgo: I don’t know. I would spend so much time thinking about all of the things that I haven’t sorted out yet… all the loose ends… and I haven’t been to the gym this week, I need to sort out my life properly. I can’t just leave and live in fantasyland.

Sagittarius: You’re never going to have everything sorted out! You just have to accept it!

Virgo: I would like to “accept it” but I don’t want to mess up everything and face terrible decline in my overall health and well-being. I do what I can to maintain stability.

Sagittarius: Well, stressing is not going to improve your health.

Virgo: Don’t you get that adding one more thing – a trip – to my plate will stress me out more than if I could just be left alone and focus on making my day run smoothly?

Sagittarius: You’re such a bore, no wonder that you’re tired of yourself. Well, if you’re not going – I will.

Sagittarius Mars is driven by faith in luck and likes to jump on all the chances that it gets. Virgo Mars is much more “responsible” and has an acute awareness of cause and effect. Perfecting the method of living, which is a daunting task, motivates a Virgo Mars. Sagittarius Mars sees that this is impossible and likes to use momentum to get by. “Booking a trip” because it was something that was briefly mentioned in passing is not unreasonable to this sign. Virgo Mars can’t deal with the spontaneity of Sagittarius and must think things through in order to fit another “component” into daily life.

The Bucci Gang As Supernatural Beings

*So, I was chatting with @mrsgiovanna about this lovely art ( please, check out the artist and consider giving them a follow! They're insanely good! ), and I came up with these new HCs about the Bucci Gang as paranormal / supernatural beings ( she also helped me with Fugo and Mista ). We hope you like them! ❤❤❤👻👻👻

Giorno Giovanna

*Giorno is a Vampire!

~ He's not the creepy, kill all humans, kind of Vampire, no. And no, he's not the sparkly type, either! He's just a lonely, centuries - old Vampire ( he is four hundred years old ) who lives at an old, secluded villa in Italy and spends his eternity there blaming himself for being such a vile creature, and most probably for killing innocent people just to feed himself. Occassionally plays piano, too.

~ He's so beautiful! His skin, pale. His eyes, deep red, like the color of blood. His honeyed baritone voice, so hypnotic. His scent, so alluring,... everything about him is made to lure you in! And that's exactly why he thinks he's a monster! A predator who doesn't deserve to live.

~ The only thing he could remember about his mortal life? Someone had turned him into this! He's not always this monster who hides beneath the shell of a beautiful earthly vessel, no! He had a life. He was a Don once, and he was about to be married to his beautiful fianceé. However, he was attacked by something on the night before his wedding. Then, the next day, he wakes up as a newborn Vampire. He couldn't remember anything else. He has searched for that monster for centuries but, he had no such luck.

~ Poor thing has convinced himself over and over that he's a villain, a fiend that must be destroyed. Of course, he has tried ending his own life, he even sunbathed, but nothing seems to work! ( Contrary to some beliefs, the Vampire, like any night creature, can move about by day. Though it is not its natural time, and its powers are weak. Quote directly taken from Van Helsing's phonograph entry about Prince Vlad Of Sagite, circa 1897 ) So, he went out in search of something, anything, that could put him to eternal rest, and that's when he found this powerful group called, Passione. It is rumored to have powerful members with supernatural abilities. That's it! Maybe Passione is the solution to his problem! However, Giorno found out that Passione, indeed, is a group of powerful members with supernatural abilities! Why, it is inhabited by creatures of the night, just like him! What would happen to Giorno now? Would he fight them? Befriend them? Or would they be the key to him finding the enemy behind his curse?!

Bruno Bucciarati

*Bruno is an Incubus!

~ This taste,... is the taste of a Nosferatu, Giorno Giovanna! Oh, you could bet Vampire Giorno and Incubus Bucciarati's first meeting is not a good one. Being born a Demon, an Incubus, to be exact, Bruno Bucciarati feeds on mortals' sexual desires. It gives him sustainance, and keeps him strong. Although he can go a few months without it ( the longest he survived without a meal is three months ), he would never deny fresh meat when one so closely wanders about the vicinity. And, oh boy, he's ridiculously strong! Unlike Vampires, he doesn't need to kill his victims. Needless to say, Giorno, who hasn't fed in a while, has a hard time fighting him.

~ Just like the rest of his kin, Bucciarati's physical body appears so unearthly beautiful to his victims. Yes, everything about him is perfect, and he could bring any mortal to their feet with his bidding. However, the same couldn't be said about his true appearance. Let's just say you wouldn't want to see Bucciarati unveiling his true form right in front of you. You might just wish you were dead than see him in all his demonic ugliness.

~ Although he takes everything when hunger truly strikes, Bucciarati actually has a preference - he adores innocent virgins. Their scent just drives him wild. He would relentlessly stalk his victim and find out everything he can about them. When he gets to know them, he would slowly come to their life, entangling and attaching himself to them like a lover pining for their affection. And when they're finally ensnared by his charm and beauty, his trap would set off. Next thing they know, they are being fed on with no hope of ever escaping.

~ If there's one thing he hates - then those are Vampires. Giorno is a Vampire, so he initially hated him. Yes, they fought, but, eventually, he found out that Giorno doesn't have an insidious intention. He only ever wanted to be free from his own curse. He found out Giorno is very different compared to his barbaric kin who knew nothing else but to slaughter. What would Bucciarati do in this situation? A Vampire, declaring his allegiance to his mortal enemy?

Guido Mista

*Mista is a Summoner!

~ After fixing things with each other, Bucciarati introduced Giorno to his team. And that's when he first met Guido Mista, an ancient Summoner. Now, he can't summon Unicorns, or Dragons, or any mythical beings like that, no. They are way beyond his power and comprehension. What he does summon are Imps, evil little critters that could ruin anyone's life. One could even say these Imps are the cause of half of Naples' death rate.

~ His Imps, which he dotingly calls, Sex Pistols, are very small and mischievous. And they cause Mista enough problems to last a lifetime. They may be small, but they are relentless when they are pursuing their target. First, they'll follow you to your home. Then, they'll purposefully steal your belongings, like your keys, your cellphone, or your wallet, and make it look as if you only misplaced them. Then, they'll start hurting your pets, your children, your loved ones. You would think you are cursed, until you're driven into madness. And that's when they'll deal the final blow.

~ Now, Mista wasn't always the Summoner we know now. He was just a regular mortal back then, living the best life, eating cheese with red wine, flirting with girls, occassionally getting into trouble. However, an incident involving a girl who was being assaulted by a corrupt Lord truly awakened his summoning powers. He wished for power, any kind, that would let him save the girl. The Imps answered to him, and the rest is history.

~ At first, Mista finds Giorno so suspicious. A Vampire who refuses to kill humans? That's funnier than Nosferatu hitting his head on a chandelier when he rises from his coffin! However, this Nosferatu is different. He's only looking for a way to break out of his curse, or die trying. Pssh, so dramatic. He's actually really kind, though! A great chap. However, he looks so familiar, like he's seen him somewhere before,... Maybe Fugo the Witch Doctor knows something that could help this Giorno guy,...

Pannacotta Fugo

*Fugo is a Witch Doctor!

~ And so, Mista leads Giorno to another room in the building. Mista opens the door, and immediately, strong scents began assaulting their nostrils. Followed by an angry voice. "MISTA, DIDN'T I TELL YOU TO KNOCK FIRST?!" This is none other than the resident Apothecarist and Witch Doctor, Pannacotta Fugo. Now, Fugo is normally a mild - mannered man. Normally. During times like this when his privacy gets compromised, he explodes like a bomb and yells at people. Not only because he doesn't want to be disturbed. The concoctions he's brewing are simply too dangerous to anyone who would sniff them, even to himself. So, he wears a special kind of mask to protect himself. But, then, Giorno is a Vampire. He may find the scent of Fugo's potions a bit foul but, other than that, he is unaffected. Naturally, Fugo's curiosity and interest was piqued at their first meeting.

~ Being the intelligent and curious man that he is, Fugo has been making brews and concoctions for the last 100 years. Potions that could kill, potions that could bring luck, both good and bad, potions that could heal all types of sickness, potions that could make anyone fall in love. It was also his knack for mixing different things out of curiosity that led him to his creation of the ultimate concoction - The Elixir Of Immortality, which he accidentally ingested, giving him an unnaturally long life. Fugo wasn't able to replicate the Elixir ever since, no matter how hard he tried.

~ It was also said that Fugo's concoctions were well - known in Naple's Black Market. Many come to him to ask for a special brew but, his creations aren't cheap. ~ And speaking of the latter devil,... "Huh? I do not know what you're saying. A Vampire who lived more than 400 centuries ago? You must ask Abbacchio. He's older than 400. Maybe he knows something about the monster you are searching for."

Leone Abbacchio

*Abbacchio is a Wish - Granting Demon!

~ Now, don't call him a Genie! He is a far cry from that! Yes, Abbacchio can make all your dreams come true! Fame, fortune, a lover, ANYTHING. However, these wishes come with a price. Your soul, that is. An eldritch ( and very grumpy ) Demon who also hides in the guise of a beautiful mortal skin just like Bucciarati, Abbacchio has lived for a millennia, and over those years he is active, he has acquired more souls than you could ever imagine. Souls of Anne Boleyn, Marie Antoinette, Nostradamus, Niccolò Paganini, and many more. All of these souls made a contract with him for a wish, and when he finally fulfilled them, he immediately orchestrates their death, so it would seem as if they were able to enjoy what they obtained from him. Only to find out a month or two later that they would be doomed to serve him for all eternity.

~ He is also the oldest member of Passione, and because of this, other lesser members fear him, except for Bucciarati, of course, who is also a Demon, like him, although a different kind. He also only obeys Bucciarati's orders and nobody else's. Seldomly, that is. Most of the time, he just keeps to himself. He is a cold - hearted monster who only cares about feeding on mortals' souls who are stupid enough to make a contract with a Demon such as him.

~ However, just like Mista, Abbacchio was once a mortal. Legend says he was a Knight who served this long lost Kingdom in Europe where Italy now stood. One night, his King was betrayed, and his partner was brutally murdered. He was captured by the neighboring rival Kingdom and was almost tortured to death. It was then that he abandoned his faith in God and turned into a Demon. He was able to kill all his enemies but, he was cursed to walk the earth for all eternity.

~ And, oh man, he hates Giorno the moment he sees him. Nonetheless, he answers his question. "A Vampire who lived more than 400 years ago,... You must be referring to Dio Brando." He says. Dio Brando?! That's the name of the person who killed Giorno's father, Jonathan Joestar! Dio,... is a Vampire?! "Do not get too cocky, you snievelling brat! Dio Brando is still at large and is currently making a huge army of Zombies to conquer the mortal world. I do not care about the destruction of the human realm, or your damned lineage,... "

Narancia Ghirga

*Narancia is a Poltergeist!

~ "Snivelling brat? Do I look like a snivelling brat to you, huh?!" Says the resident Poltergeist, Narancia Ghirga, who just went through a wall from his own room. Narancia, the ghost of a teenager who died of drowning a hundred years ago, is a very sensitive Ghost who gets easily offended at the word, brat. Maybe it was only his guilt that made him sensitive to the word. After all, his father used to call him that when he was still alive. It's what made him run away from home. A storm passed, and a day later, his lifeless body was found adrift on the Bay of Naples. It was said that the spirit of the mischievous child never left the place.

~ Indeed, he hasn't. Bucciarati adopted this lonely ghost and ever since then, he has become a member of Passione. At first, he was only given the task to scare away anyone who would dare to get close to their secret hideout but, as his powers grew over time, he was given more difficult jobs, like possessing mortals to do bad things or kill others, making furniture and ouija board planchettes move, and playing pranks on innocent people. You might say it's only Narancia's way of having fun but, he is a Poltergeist, after all. Everything he does is like a game to him. A game where only he could win.

~ Narancia is always seen around places with lots of sweets. It was said that he adores snacks and treats when he was still alive, and his favorite holiday is, of course, Halloween. It's where he could truly mingle with the living and play endless pranks without his true nature getting revealed. His ghostly appearance always wins over adults. They find him cute so they give him lots of treats. He brings home his huge stash later on to eat them but, alas, he can't. So he just displays the treats he collected in his room. He's been doing it for many years. Aha, so that's where the rotten smell is coming from. Giorno could smell it from a distance.

~ Narancia is never lonely, though. He and Mista are very close. And he takes a liking to Giorno almost immediately. "Ah, but it must be so nice to live forever with your flesh still attached to your soul. Know what I'm saying?" Narancia says when they leave Abbacchio's room. And that's when they hear a terrible noise coming from the next room. A noise that almost sounded like,... wailing?

Trish Una

*Trish is a Banshee!

~ "Hear me! Hear me! An insurmountable force is heading this way! A fiend with an army to do his bidding,... He is coming! The man you are searching for, Giorno Giovanna! DIO IS COMING,... TO END PASSIONE!" Wails the Banshee named Trish. Now, Trish may be docile at times but, she suddenly bursts out like this to foretell the immediate future, which always happens. She does this on a weekly basis, and ruins the appetite of anyone unlucky enough to listen to her during mealtimes. Trivial things like earthquakes, flooding, the death of a politician, a broken teacup, or a missing pet. Trish would wail about it in all her Banshee glory and shatter everyone's eardrums with it. Thank goodness, she lives with monsters with unbreakable eardrums. The neighbors, though,...

~ Normally, Trish has a very pleasant voice. She actually sings for this recording studio and is considered somewhat of a Pop Star in Italy. However, her nature has prevented her from going into her concerts and doing interviews, live or otherwise. That is why her true identity remains a secret, and only her voice and stage name are known by her fans. She is very fashionable, though, and pretty ( the team thinks it's her own way of making it up for her Bansheeness ).

~ She has been a member of Passione since she was a baby. One day, Bucciarati was about to buy groceries when he opened the door and almost stepped on her. She was abandoned by her parents and he found out the reason why when he brought her in. Why, she started wailing like nobody's business and almost gave Narancia a second death! Nevertheless, he took care of her like a real parent, and Trish grew up believing that Passione is her only family. That is, until she found out the identity of her true parents. One of them, a mysterious man by the name of Diavolo,... But, that is a story for another day. "Huh? Did I just say something?" And yes, Trish immediately forgets what she's just predicted as a Banshee and turns back into her docile self.

"Dio, personally coming to end Passione?!" Bucciarati questions upon hearing Trish's prediction. "But, why? We have been in the dark for too long. We never mingle with the affairs of the Vampires!"

"Yeah! Why do we suddenly have to fight that sadistic Vampire?!" Mista, who puts his hand on his head, complains.

"Passione controls all of Italy." Fugo muses. "If Dio destroys us, there would be nothing left to stand between him and the mortals. Italy, no, the entire European continent would be his for the taking!"

"This is your fault, Giorno Giovanna!" Abbacchio growls and grabs Giorno's collar. "If you didn't come here, then this would not have happenned!"

"Maybe it's destiny that led Giorno here." Trish says. "After all this time, he would finally be facing the monster who gave him the curse of Vampirism."

"Then, let him come." Declares Giorno through gritted teeth as he effortlessly swats Abbacchio's hands off him. "I'll be prepared for him. I'll put an end to his tyranny, and destroy the curse that's coursing through my immortal flesh!"

"But, if you destroy your curse, you'll be destroyed, too." Narancia lethargically points out, and he's right.

But, Giorno doesn't care. All he cares about is finally putting an end to his cursed bloodline.

Bucciarati sees Giorno's resolve and puts a reasurring hand on his shoulder. "With you here, things have began to move. Maybe it truly is Passione's destiny to end Dio's reign. I'll help you in your cause to destroy him!"

"Count me in!" Mista says, summoning his Imps. "It'll be problematic if we run out of mortals to bully."

"I can't die again, so I'm in!" Narancia raises his hand. "And he can't have all the candy here!"

"I can predict his movements. I'll help you." Trish offers.

"W - whatever! This is too reckless!" Cries Fugo, retreats back to his room, and shuts the door.

"I don't take orders from you, Bucciarati." Abbacchio points out. "A Demon doesn't. I only take orders from one thing, and that is my own demonic flesh. However, it is only through my own kin that I would truly find rest, and that is with you, Bucciarati. So, I'll help. Do not get cocky, Giorno! I'm not following you!"

And so, Passione has began preparing for Dio's attack, with Giorno and Bucciarati as the leaders,...

"Do you believe in destiny? That,... even the,... powers,... of time,... can be altered for a single purpose? " As if in a trance, V went to the table and picked up your picture, protecting it from the flame of the candle but not from the dark ink that just spilled on it due to his carelessness and on his haste to hold it.

And as the old Count looked at you, Nero felt a complete sense of dread washing over him.

V smiled as he cradled the picture like a lost belonging. "The luckiest man who walks on this earth is the one who finds,... true love."

"You found (Y/N). I thought she was lost. We are to be married as soon as I return." Nero happily told the Count as he pointed at your picture at V's pale hands. "Are you married, Count?" He asked as he noticed the Lord of the castle looking at your picture with a strange expression he couldn't quite tell. "Sir, are you married?"

"I was married once." Count V answered, a single tear rolling down his jade eye. "Ages ago it seems. She died."

"Oh. I'm very sorry."

"She was fortunate. My life, at its best, is,... misery." The Count told Nero as he gave your picture back to him. "She will no doubt make a,... devoted wife. And you, a faithful husband."

In a space of a few seconds, the frown and sadness on the Count's face vanished as he made Nero sit back down on his chair.

"Come. Write now, my friend, to your firm,... and to any loved ones to say that it shall please you,... to stay with me,... until a month from now."

Nero looked up at V, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "A month? Do you wish me to stay so long?"

V leaned in closer, his sinister eyes telling him that the Count was already up to no good. "I will take no,... refusal."

"I love him! I love him!" Your best friend, Lady, exclaimed as she came out of her room, twirling and waltzying about as she gracefully ran towards you. "I love him and I said yes!" She sat down next to you and held your hands.

"Oh, finally!" You shook your head as you smiled at her. "Don't tell me. The Devil Hunter with the big sword?"

"Oh, no, no. To my dear number three." Lady answered you. "Lord Vergil Sparda." She cleared her throat. Changing her tone to match that of her butler's, she announced, "Lord and Lady Sparda! And you are to be my Maid Of Honor. Please, say yes."

The smile on Lady's lips vanished when she saw the frown on your face. "What is it, (Y/N)? It's the most exciting day of my life!" She sighed as he shoulders slumped in sadness. "You don't seem to care,..."

"It's just that I'm so worried about Nero." You showed Lady the letter you received from your fiance. "This letter I received is so cold, it's so unnatural. It's not like him, at all!"

"Oh, (Y/N), don't worry."

In your haste, you bumped into someone as you turned, dropping the perfume you just bought from the apothecary. A small and dainty gasp escaped your lips as his glove hand caught it with an unbelievable speed and offered it back to you.

"My,... humblest apologies." He said as you glanced at him with wide, surprised eyes. "Forgive my,... ignorance. I,... recently arrived from abroad, and I,... do not know your city. Is a beautiful lady - ?"

"The purchase of a street atlas is a sixpence. Good day." You simply answered as you snatched the bottle of perfume away from his hand.

You were about to walk away when he called you back.

"I have offended you."

You looked back at him and saw him still standing there where you left him.

"I' am only looking for the Cinematograph. I understand it is a wonder of the civilized world."

"If you seek culture, then visit a museum. London is filled with them. Excuse me." You answered as you finally left him.

But, not even a minute has passed when you saw him again smiling at you when you turned around a corner.

How did he get there so fast?!

"A woman so lovely and intelligent," He began with a smile as you tried to ignore him. "... should not be walking the streets of London without her gentleman."

Finally losing your patience with the annoying man, you turned back at him and fired at him. "Do I know you, sir?! Are you acquainted with my husband?!" You emphasized, hoping for the man to get the hint. You tilted your head to the side at the location of the police department. "Shall I call the Police?!"

The man opened his mouth to say something else but, he simply dropped it. He slightly bowed his head as he gave you an apologizing look. "Husband? Then, I shall bother you no more." He tilted his top hat and walked away.

Feeling guilty of what you just said, you followed him. "Sir, it is I who have been rude." You spoke, not really knowing why you even bothered to talk to him, a complete stranger, in the first place. "If you're looking for - "

"Please," he gently cut you off as he looked at you through his blue - tinted pair of glasses.

Those jade eyes, you thought. They look so,... familiar,...

"Permit me to introduce myself." He announced as he removed his top hat and bowed at you like a true gentleman. "I,... am Prince Vlad,... of Sagite. But, you can call me V."

You smirked at the name and title he just revealed to you. "A Prince, no less?"

"I' am,... your servant." He replied as he wore his top hat once more.

"(Y/N) (L/N)."

Your eyes widened even more as this enigmatic man who called himself V went closer to you, his deep eyes never leaving yours. "I,... am,... honored,... Madame (Y/N)." He declared as he took your gloved hand in his and gave it a chaste peck.

You gave him a genuine smile and gestured towards the location he was looking for - the Cinematograph.

This mysterious one,... something drew you to him. He looked so familiar, so gentle,...

It's as if you've been with him before in a past life,...

"This way."

Just an experiment! These are snippets of a Dracula and Devil May Cry 5 crossover with an Alternate Universe V X Reader theme ( V as Vlad Dracula and you as Wilhelmina Murray ). And I must say I really like it. I may publish it here for real after 🖤 I See My Future Before Me 🖤 and 🖤 In Silence, I Weep 🖤.
