The Killer Alphabet 18+

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is feeling good! I wasn't going to do one of these for this (disgusting) guy but you guys seem to enjoy my previous alphabets for The Mad King and Eli, and I have some time to kill so I thought why not. I really wanted to try something different with this guy compared to the traditional slashers you see in movies, please feel free to tell me if it worked or not!

Also If you haven't noticed I haven't given too much description to any of my OCs, I do have images of what they look like in my head but I'll leave it up to you guys what they look like to you (mainly cause I can't draw for shit). I do see him as Mario Casas in 'The skin of the wolf' but like I said I really don't mind what they look like to you. Also, I don't have a name for this man cause it didn't really make sense in my mind for him to have one so he'll be known as Killer. Once again this is based on @/dear-yandere original template.

Also, I hope I don't need to say this but I will just in case, I do not condone these sorts of actions!!! Or any actions in any of my work. This is pure fiction.

Let's get into it!

This man scares me, not even kidding. Like he gives me the absolute creeps. The drabble this is based on is here.

Before we go into the meat of it, I want to flesh out an important character point. His whole character and personality kinda revolve around one thing. He is obsessed with movies from the golden era of film, especially the ones where the guy gets the girl. I like to think that his cabin wasn't always his, that he stumbled upon it wandering the woods, maybe after a run-in from the law, or even just travelling from his previous shelter to find a new one. And when Killer moves in (murders the old man living there) he is confused to find an old film and a projector set up. After accidentally getting it to work he is amazed by the pretty images floating on the wall. And the moment the man kisses the leading lady? He is baffled, flabbergasted. Where was the blood? The violence, the murder, the guts and gore being spread on screen?

This was the first time he saw physical interaction between people that didn't end with someone screaming, crying or bleeding. And man was he obsessed. He would rewatch that old film, over and over and over just so he could watch the few seconds where the two actors kissed. And I mean over and over again. He practically melted the film with how many times he played it. But he just couldn't help it, he was desperate to recreate this funny feeling in his gut he got every time the actor gripped the actress's waist or connected their lips. This feeling increased with each new rewatch, it went from just a feeling in his gut to taking a physical form in the shape of his pulsing member straining against the worn fabric of his pants (I see him in dark blue jeans but that is just my whorish side talking).

And when the pain got too much and he reached into his pants to check for injuries??? The moment he touched his dick for the first time when aroused?? He practically came right then and there. And that changes everything!! This actor seemed to be a big hit in the old days and a personal favourite of the old man, so there are countless films with them as the leading actor or as the romantic interest. Now he just can't help himself. Instead of just taking care of himself during the kissing scenes, he now has to pleasure himself whenever the actor comes on screen (it's a lot).

Now here is where it gets interesting. Firstly, you come onto the scene. It was your first trip to the camping site with your friends and you were a little nervous, but it was going to be such fun!. Your best friend hadn't been in a while, not since childhood, but how different could it be? It was safe back then so why not now? Surely the dozens of missing hikers were just people getting lost, dehydrated or injured? It had nothing to do with the slasher who had moved into the area, who hated people interrupting his personal time.

Ok so on the last night of the trip, spotlight started. You've run deep into the woods (far too deep) and have found a nice little hiding spot. The woods were filled with screams and laughter and yelling. It was so loud in fact it disrupted Killer from watching his nightly film. It was so loud he decided that the only reasonable way to regain peace and quiet would be to rip the tongue out of every one of these stupid little mutts. Unfortunately for you, he came across you first. You were crouching with your back towards him and your face hidden in the darkness. Now despite his size Killer can be quite the sneak, so you had no idea there was a murderer planning on planting an axe in your head. Just as he planned to jump out, you happened to turn your head at the right moment as the moonlight passed the clouds, and he was able to get a look at your face from his hiding space. Fortunately for you (but unfortunately in 4 years' time), you looked almost exactly like his favourite actor. He was so mesmerised and in awe of your resemblance that he was more than happy to let you slip away into the darkness. From then on he followed you throughout the night.

In doing so he found out so much about you! Like how you jumped and whimpered whenever you heard a sound from the darkness (so much like the bunnies he skinned with his trusty knife!), how you looked so good in that dark red jumper you wore, how pretty and soft he imagined your skin to be, and how you might even be better than the actor on his screen because you were there right in front of him, in the flesh.

So began his obsession with you!! How lucky he was that you returned every single year! It made him so happy to follow you around like a little puppy that he would even forget to torment the hikers near his cabin. He was just so painfully shy when it came to you though. Putting an axe through someone's chest cavity was easy when you didn't have to talk to them. But he wanted to talk to you and maybe even kiss you!! So he was happy for the next two years to just follow you around for a week before you drove away (not before he pinched some of your things- he needed to remember your scent till next year).

But!!! The few weeks leading up to your fourth (and final visit) were a bit different. He didn't pleasure himself often anymore with the sight of his favourite actor, instead, he would now think of you or smell some of your clothes he pinched, or when the actor was on screen he pretended they were you and he was the leading man gripping your waist. But, when looking for a new film to watch ( I wasn't lying when I said the collection was massive) he came across a box he hadn't seen before. Putting one of the films on he was shocked to see what came on screen. The people were doing a lot more than just kissing. It almost looked like the struggles he was used to when he strangled his victims, there were a lot more limbs going places and a lot more grunts and groans ( i don't know how the sound systems work for old projectors but it gonna work for us). But this was different, there was no blood, just two people rutting against each other. And no one died at the end? huh

Instead, he watched as hands travelled over their skin and up shirts, as the man flipped his partner over and ground his hips against their ass and how good it looked to finally have something soft to rut against instead of his callous hands.

If he thought the subtle grabs and light kissing were arousing this sent him over the edge. All these new things he could now imagine doing with you! But why leave it to the imagination? He had spent the last 3 years fixing the cabin where it might be somewhere you could live (and couldn't leave, don't want his little bunny to run). He fixed the walls, the windows, the roofs, and he even added some chains! This year was going to be the year he brought you home, his pretty bunny!

He had it all planned out, he would corner you during the spotlight game and give you pretty flowers and maybe even do the thing the people in the new film do with your hand around his cock! How exciting! No one had to get hurt, he saw how much those mutts meant to you, so he would let them live, even if it would be painful to not crack their skulls.

He had it all planned out! until he watched your boyfriend shove his cock into your mouth. Then he got a bit mad.

A = Affection (How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?)

He shows his love in bloody, violent ways. He doesn't talk much, like at all, so his actions are everything. Skinned, still warm, rabbits laying on your pillow, leaving a bit of a mess. They make a perfect stew and the fur can make lovely gloves! The heart of a fox is gifted to you inside a worn wooden trinket box. So you know you have his heart! His victim's still bloody and torn clothes as a gift for all your good behaviour. He doesn't understand why the blood is a bad thing.

On the other hand, he worships old movies, most of which show courting and wooing. He'll pick you flowers and push in your chair, he'll give you rings he finds on his victims and try to slow dance with you in his make-shift living room (his feet are just too big, but he does get better though).

However, don't think just because you are his pretty thing he won't show his love in harsher ways. Gripping your wrist tight until you can almost feel the bones break when he gets a little too excited slow dancing. Tugging on your hair (if you have hair) and forcing you to sit still as he brushes it (even though you tell him you can't brush your hair type dry - I've got curly hair, I would hate this!!), leaving you to wince as he hits knots with the brush. He forces pretty clothes he found on you, gets annoyed when you say no (the actors in his films never said no to their partners) and holds you down on the thin mattress as he rips your old clothes on to manhandle you into your new ones. He forces you into a lot of things but I'll get into that later. Even though you might be crying and begging for him to stop, he still sees his actions as a form of love and just can't comprehend he's doing something wrong.

B = Blood (How messy are they willing to get when it comes to you?)

Extremely bloody!!!! Blood everywhere man. He doesn't need an excuse for him to go straight for his axe. I do think he would go for a slower death for someone who he thinks wrongs you. His greatest regret (besides not bringing you home kidnapping you sooner) is letting your boyfriend off with a somewhat quick death

C = Cruelty (How would they treat you once abducted? Would they mock you?)

Oh yeah, baby, he is cruel!!!! Not in verbal ways but physically. I mentioned before he grips your wrist too tight and that's when he's happy! When he is actually trying to cause you damage I see him do it as a way of punishment, he's not going to beat you for the fun of it, remember he loves those movies and he tries desperately to live the life he sees in it, so when you do something he doesn't like (like saying no or really any small thing) I see him using his leather belt (actually it was the old man's). But are you trying to run away or actively hurt him? Oh boy. I definitely see him as the sort to break a few fingers or even brand/carve his name into your back. But that's for real bad bunnies who try to runaway.

D = Darling (Aside from abduction, would they do anything against your will?)

Yep yep yep. The man is trying to recreate life from an era when consent was practically non-existent, especially between married couples (which he sees you as). And also he just doesn't care. He'll force you to dance awkwardly with him, he'll force you to bathe in front of him, change in front of him, masturbate in front of him, touch him (in more than one place), and force you to kiss him. Also, he doesn't speak often, if at all, only really to say things like:

What heart? This man feels like 6 emotions: Blood lust, normal lust, hunger (Not even an emotion), thirst (still not an emotion), contentment and obsessive love towards you. So no, no vulnerability from this guy.

F = Fight (How would they feel if you fought back?)

Angry, to the point where he might break a few fingers to remind you bunnies don't have claws. (they literally do but he doesn't know that - neither do I apparently)

G = Game (Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching you try to escape?)

Not a game, but a massive delusional mess. He actually thought that the picnic blanket set up was for him. He thought that your boyfriend was forcing you to do all those things (he wasn't) and all your cries of pleasure were just cries. He had to wait till the spotlight game though, even if he wanted to butcher your boyfriend then and there. That game was how you first met and he wanted everything to be special. So yeah when he saw you put out all those rose petals he was adamant they were for him, it's why he brought you back there for your first time together. He even washed his hands for you! He didn't want you to get mad at all the blood, how sweet :( He really thought as well that what you did was sex, unfortunately for you, he learns really soon what sex is.

The only time I see him wanting to play games is when he lets you go so he can chase after you through the woods or even play a version of spotlight! (it is just him playing hide and go seek, and you running for your life). That really gets his blood pumping. It's sad, cause you think that this might be the time you get away and that you won't be shoved to the ground on your hands and knees getting railed from behind.

H = Hell (What would be your worst experience with them?)

Besides watching your boyfriend get killed? There are so many. Losing your virginity to him on the thin mattress, him breaking your finger when you try to slash him with his knife he left lying around (he actually thought he could trust you-naughty bunny), you watching from the window as he drags a hiker that tried to escape back to the front yard to kill them slowly (you couldn't look at him for days and you would sob every time you caught a glimpse of some blood still under his fingernails) or what about the time he kidnapped an unsuspecting camper and forced the two of you to have sex just so he can see if he's been doing it wrong. After the camper finishes, they are promptly killed while you sit on the bed sobbing watching it all unfold in the living room. I have so many more.

I = Ideals (What kind of future do they have in mind for/with you?)

I don't really know, I don't think he does either. I personally would like to say, like I have for my last two OCS, something to do with breeding and a slight housewife kink but that's just cause I'm a virgin whore. But I did say I would try to keep the reader gn for this one, so I really don't know. I think he would just want you to stay his, in his cabin till the police drag him out or until you both die. (feel free to add your five cents! I would love to hear your thoughts)

J = Jealousy (Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?)

It's strange because I did say he let someone fuck you but then killed them. I don't think he gets jealous the way normal people do, as in afraid their partner would leave them or sees the other person as a threat. He doesn't see them as a threat he just sees them as a loose end and a distraction for you from him. Even your boyfriend was killed out of annoyance and delusion that you needed saving of sorts.

K = Kisses (How do they act around you?)

Like a massive murder puppy, heart eyes and everything (as long as you say yes to everything and never say no)

L = Love letters (How would they go about courting or approaching you?)

Very much the same as affection, lots of bloody gifts and lots of flowers and trinkets he stole from dead bodies.

M = Mask (Are their true colours drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?)

Not really, he just doesn't want to kill you or cause irreversible damage. He is still silent and broody and still scares the shit out of you, except of course he also acts like a love-sick puppy.

N = Naughty (How would they punish you?)

I mentioned this one a few times now, but breaking bones, branding, using his belt, chaining you up to the headboard of the bed, or keeping an ankle chain on you,

O = Oppression (How many rights would they take away from you?)

your right to freedom and privacy, you can't change your undies without this man standing like 2 cm behind you

P = Patience (How patient are they with you?)

no patience at all, if he makes the sign for you to sit on his lap during movie night, and you hesitate or worse straight out say no? Your getting punished for sure

Q = Quit (If you die, leave, or successfully escape, would they ever be able to move on?)

He would probably just do what he has always done and murder people in the woods, but he would be way more aggressive about it if that's even possible. Leaving is a big no-no, he has moved places before and you can bet your top dollar that this woodland slasher will become your not-so-friendly neighbourhood slasher real quick

R = Regret (Would they ever feel guilty about abducting you? Would they ever let you go?)

Nope!!! He's having the time of his life

S = Stigma (What brought about this side of them [childhood, curiosity, etc]?)

He's a murderous manic what more do you want from me

T = Tears (How do they feel about seeing you scream, cry, and/or isolate yourself?)

he would confuse crying during sex to mean good things and screaming to just be annoying (if during sex, he thinks it means he's doing it right), if you scream outside of sex he wouldn't have the patience and would just punish you then and there. His pet peeve is victims who scream. Isolating? He wouldn't really mind, as long as he can still manhandle you to do things he wants you to do, I really don't think he would care if you never spoke again.

U = Unique (Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?)

nothing i can think of

V = Vice (What weakness can you exploit in order to escape?)

His naivety. yes, I said what I said. This guy doesn't know anything about relationships or sex, or the modern world in general, so if you tell (beg) him to close his eyes cause you have a surprise for him that might involve you on your knees, he will gladly close his eyes and not even notice it has been ten minutes since you've made a sound till he gets bored and opens his eyes to the window jimmied open and you gone.

W = Wit’s end (Would they ever physically hurt you?)

X = Xoanon (How much would they revere or worship you? To what length would they go to win you over?)

Yeah, I do think he sees you as this soft, pretty creature that sometimes reminds him of a life before the blood. But not to the point of getting on his knees. Oh no no. Only bunnies get on their knees.

Y = Yearn (How long do they pine after you before they snap?)

This boy has been pining for you for years!! he had a dedicated box where he would put scraps of clothes of yours, flowers you touched, jewellery of yours, pieces of your hair, anything he could get his hands on! Even a polaroid picture your friend took of you on your 2nd trip, just don't ask why it's sticky. He "snapped" when he saw your boyfriend fucking your mouth but he had been planning on taking you anyway so I guess as soon as he saw you.

Z = Zenith (Would they ever break you?)

sure thing! Physically, mentally, and emotionally, this guy just does not care.

Happy WW!! I always see you talking about ABO dynamics so I gotta ask: have you ever thought about a Supernatural + Teen Wolf crossover? If you were now CEO of the CW how would you make that play out? (Lets pretend in this make believe land that incest is allowed on tv lol)

sam, meet lydia: lydia would initially be interested in dean, the charming, good-looking older brother, but quickly realize that sam is the one with the brains that line up more with hers. dean is smart, absolutely, but sam is more interested in typical academics, and lydia is a genius. they'd chat. they'd get into the lore (once sam does lydia a couple favors, of course). i fucking love lydia martin, she is a forever girl to me, and despite TW being an MTV show, lydia has deep flavors of sam. s2 lydia, hearing voices and visions, not knowing what's wrong with her, learning a dark family past, a harbinger of death...yeah, they'd have plenty to talk about and i'd LOVE to see these two as fast friends that nobody quite understands. sam hiding that lydia is a banshee from dean so that he & john don't hunt her...ugh <3

dean, meet peter hale: we know that dean loves a good looking father figure ;) and peter is so manipulative and creepy – he'd absolutely sniff out the J/D going on (incestuous family meet incestuous family) and use it to piss dean off during fights. i imagine this as an endless chase; peter is so good at getting away and dean is so upset with himself that he keeps losing him and getting toyed with in the process. can you imagine peter's flirting? also, with all the peter + lydia stuff happening, this would add another layer on top of it, when you have sam's friendship with lydia.

john, meet chris & kate argent: ok. incest recognize incest. what the hell was going on in the argent family lmfao bUT ANYWAY i would LOVE to see john talk with these other hunters who all three have such different interpretations of their "codes." i would love to see who john sides with – is it chris, who only hurts those who hurt others, or kate, the vicious fighter who doesn't think twice about hurting any werewolf? i would love to see the fallout of john siding with kate first only to see how that drive has corrupted her into the evil that she is.

dean should hook up with...marin: this would be so fun i think. she's smart and beautiful, which is enough to draw dean in, and she can keep up with him. he can talk to her about the supernatural world, but oh man imagine the fallout of finding out marin is working with deucalion, dean turning on her, and then finding out that she was actually double-crossing him! the self-hatred that would ensue. would they get back together after? who knows...

sam should hook up with...stiles: i almost said allison but scallison is my otp so i can't break them up lmao. i want sam & stiles to have their bi-curious phase with each other. a messy baby dom 4 baby dom virgin 4 virgin moment at one of those raves. they're both secretly constantly competing to be the smartest person in the room and stiles is sooo jealous of sam's friendship with lydia yet fascinated by him. tension off the CHARTS.

john should hook up with...melissa: hELLO? this would be so hot. while i do ship melissa/sherriff stilinski, i love the idea of this ill-advised hookup lmao. both single parents looking for a good time, john unaware that her son is one of the werewolves he's hunting, maybe rafael (her ex-husband) has it out for john bc the winchesters have gotten themselves on the FBI's radar?

oh there is SO MUCH fun stuff you can do with this crossover, also sam would love dr. deaton i think, and dean and jackson do get in a physical fight at some point and dean kicks his fucking ass lol

TW mentions of rape

There's this one deleted scene in Back to the Future 3 where Tannen shoots the Sherriff in front of his son and the directors cut it because "There would be no way to redeem Tannen after that", "Everyone would hate him to the point of no return", "We'd have had to kill Tannen at the end of the movie" and the comments on that were all like "Good choice to leave this out, this made me hate him" and "This is the most evil any Tannen has ever been" and "This was too dark for a family movie" and I sat there like....

Biff tried to rape Lorraine. Like. Actual rape. He sexually assaulted and harrassed her multiple times. He was about to MURDER Marty in front of like a hundred witnesses and blame it on dysfunctional brakes. Twice. He tried to rape Lorraine. In the alternate timeline, he wanted to shoot his STEPSON who he raised since he was six years old. HE. TRIED. TO RAPE. LORRAINE.

And let's not even mention the fact that he physically and verbally abused Lorraine and all her kids in alternate 1985, pressured her into getting beauty surgeries, held her hostage by threatening her children and cheated on her.

What do you mean Tannen shooting someone would have been too dark, and what do you mean Tannen would have been irredeemable and he would have needed to be killed at the end of the movie for his punishment to be satisfying? You mean a RAPIST abuser and murderer gets away with a punch in the face while some outlaw shooting the sherriff deserves death? I feel like people are forgetting how freaking evil and unhinged Biff was. Or they just don't take FREAKING RAPE all that seriously. Yes, I am bitter and Lorraine deserves SO MUCH better.

Also, this is unrelated, but I just rewatched Back to the Future and for some reason, it broke my heart that if Biff actually managed to rape Lorraine, her last words before it happened would have been "Someone's coming", not knowing what was about to happen to her.

The Failures of Plural Representation

Tw: mental health, abuse, torture, plural vilification, neurotypical shit.

My dad... (I don't want to say 'made me') invited me to watch The Lord of the Rings from a very young age. You know, like any good gen X parent would. And of course I fell in love with it! I was raised a nerd after all.

My favorite scene ofc has to be the part when Eowyn goes all Mulan and bitch slaps the Witch King to death saying "I am no man. I'm a woman!".

For a long time these movies became the gold standard for what good story telling looked liked. It sparked my passion for storytelling, cinema and writing.

Recently I've been rewatching the trilogy, the extended versions on HBO. And I hadn't watched them in so long, they felt like new and yet... they felt like home.

There aren't many things that have made me feel like home ever since I left my body...

But tonight I finished watching the two towers.

Began with a vat full of mousse cake and my wife by my side!

Finished sad... with a bad taste in my mouth that won't leave.

(No, it wasn't the mousse. My Alesha could never make anything that wasn't perfect)

And it's funny. Bc I remember that on the original cut that my dad and I rented from a Block Buster, the story of Smeagol seemed so sad to me.

But what I just saw was far from sad, it was cruel!

And not like some dramatic tragedy or anything like that!

It was a joke!

Smeagol was a joke!

His pain was just some passing slapstick! Sauron tortures him! The humans too! Sam harrasses him! And Frodo betrays him!

"You have shown your quality, sir. The very highest."

"You left out one of the chief characters: Sawise the Brave."

"There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."

Oh! Why don't you go fuck a po-tay-toe, Sam! You bastard half-ling!

Faramir gets the girl!

Sam gets revindicated for misstrusting Smeagol!

And Frodo goes to the eternal shores or some shit!

And Gollum?

To the flames where he fucking belongs, the freak!

Yes, obviously. He is a flawed character. Just like almost everyone in the movies.

But you just don't see Boromir getting the same treatment. No, he gets the bitter-sweet flashback with his brother.

And Smeagol proves to get better and get rid of his toxic counterpart and be happy again! (100 times the strength any soldier has ever had in my experience) But still... No.

He's still just a freak.

The creature Gollum.

But alright. So J. R. R. Tolkien sucks at mental health representation. I don't think that's such a hot take if I know the internet.

But here's the catch:

It is worth remembering.

Cuz history has a funny way of tripping you over and kicking you in the gut for the bad memory of others.

And that's why I'm currently mad enough to write a Tumblr blog at 4 in the morning. Bc popular media seems to mostly just show pural folks as monsters and not people you can empathize with!

And that's fucking scary bc, guess what?

It's just... I sometimes forget how scary it can be.

To think that you can't be who you are in public because people will look at you... and see nothing less than a creature.

I didn't choose to be this way, and yet I'm trying to love myself for what I am...

And then you look at me and... What? Do I matter so little? Do you see me as lesser? ... Am I not even a person? ... Is it even a crime to harm me?

Fuck...

It's not all bad news though.

Maybe as part of the recent trend towards mental health acceptance, or maybe just bc of some rando guardian angel writer. or just for the f'ing lols, we're starting to see for the first time the representation of characters with multiple personalities that is not only accurate and sensible, but also effective and heartfelt from a storytelling pov.

I didn't finish Moon Knight, but for what I saw it gives me great hope that this will become the standard for talking abt multiple personalities on popular media from now on... bc that would honestly get rid of so much my daily stress.

I just want a family at the end of the day.

I want a stable job, I want my own small business, I want a house for my wife, and I want a child that feels free to become whatever the want to, and need to be. And I want heroes they can look up to.

Bc I'm running out of mine...

I'm really sad I have to leave this part of my childhood behind.

I could start trying to split hairs and defend the movie as something far away from Tolkien's nastyness... but something tells me that it's just not gonna be the same ever again.

I'm not gonna stop my rewatch or ban TLOTR from my home. They're still cool movies. It's just that the same enjoyment is no longer there. And I just don't feel like indoctrinating my family to these movies just like I was, even if some of their lessons are important.

For that I have Moon Girl and Devi Dinosaur!

An Unexpected Meeting

Enjoy a little oneshot I just wrote. Hope you like it!

Feyre visiting an old favourite place of her in her hometown. There she meets an old friend

It was around 5pm when Feyre had the sudden need to go out. She was in the middle of rewatching Gilmore Girls for the third time when she looked out of her window and wanted to visit a spot she didn't see for a long time. So she put on her sneakers, got her keys and made her way to the woods. It wasn't a long way, she was there in twenty minutes. It didn't take her long to find the spot, either. It wasn't something special, not at all. It was just a little picnic bench near the woods but she spent a lot of time here while she was in middle and high school. It was the spot where she hid when she had one of many fights with her sister. This was her spot when she skipped school and needed somewhere to hide. Feyre wasn't here for years, because after she graduated she moved to another city to go college. She barely visited her hometown in that time, she just loved her college city, Adriata. She loved the beaches and the sunny weather. Still, after she graduated college she began to miss Velaris. It was nice to be back in her hometown. Back her, in her old safe space. It's funny, right? That an old picnic bench can be a safe space for someone. But it is, for her, and nobody else knows about it. Nobody else, except...

"Feyre?"

At his voice, she jumped. She didn't hear him at all.

Turning around, she smiled at him. Hoping that he wouldn't read the shock in her face. "Rhys!" she said. She hoped that the silly little crush she had for him before she moved away would vanish while at college and she honestly thought she succeeded but seeing him here... He still looked beautiful, if not even more than four years ago. Less boyish, obviously. He was a man now. His smile was still so beautiful and his eyes were so bright, it almost looked like stars lived in them. No, no, she definitely still had a crush on him.

Rhys chuckled. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to scare you."

She waved her hand. "It's okay, I am very scareable."

"Scareable?" he raised his eyebrows. Feyre rolled her eyes. "Still can't watch horror movies?"

Rhys pointed to the bench across from her, Feyre nodded. "I told you I'll never be able to watch horror movies!" she said as he sat down. Rhys chuckled again.

"I didn't know you're in town." he said. Of course he didn't know, they barely had any contact since she moved to Adriata. They lost touch after they graduated and just texted each other every few months until their lifes catched up again. She didn't have any contact to him since she moved back to Velaris.

"I moved back here two months ago." Feyre told him.

Rhys put a hand on his heart, leaning a bit forward. "And you didn't text me?"

"I didn't think you would be interested in meeting. Aren't you all caught up in your busy life?" she asked.

Rhys's eyes softened. "It doesn't matter how busy I am, I will always have time for you, Feyre darling."

Her heart began beating faster when she heard her old nickname from him. Her cheeks began heating.

Rhys smiled. "So you graduated?"

Feyre nodded, glad that he changed the subject. "Yes! I did. Now I am working at a little gallery in the Rainbow. What about you? You graduated, too. Right?"

"I did!" he said, straightening a little. "I am now working full time with my father."

"Oh, fancy." Feyre replied.

Rhys laughed. "Indeed." he looked her in the eyes. "and what are you doing here?" he asked, waving to their surroundings.

"Thought about sacrificing a squirrel." she said as bland as she could.

Rhys rolled his eyes. "Oh really? I don't see a squirrel, what happend?"

Feyre smirked. "You showed up."

Rhys laughed. "Good, let the poor squirrels alone." Feyre joined his laughter.

"You know, I still don't get why they had to sacrifice him."

Rhys laughed louder. "It's a movie, Feyre!"

"It's a stupid movie!"

"We watched it five years ago!"

Feyre giggled. "What are YOU doing here?"

Rhys controlled his laughter. "I was working on a project." he said. "I decided I need a break and wanted to go on a walk."

"And now you're here." Feyre said.

He smiled. "Now I am here."

They fell into a comfortable silence. Feyre traced the texture of the wood with her fingers when her stomach suddenly grumbled.

"You know." Rhys began. "Rita's still has the best fries in town."

"Oh really?" Feyre said.

"Absolutely." Rhys said, smirking. "Feyre, would you do me the honor and let me take you out to Rita's?"

"Hmmm." Feyre pretended to think about it. "I don't know."

"I'll pay." he said.

"Oh, well, then! I am in!" she said, giggling.

Rhys laughed, helping her up from her spot. "It's a really nice coincidence that we met today."

Feyre took his hand and they made their way to Rita's. "Coincidences don't exist, Rhys."

"Oh, sorry, I forgot." he replied, touching his shoulder with hers. "Do you still believe in the supernatural stuff?"

"Obviously I do!" she said. "You don't?"

Rhys laughed.

"Please." Feyre said. "How can you think that we are the only smart species here?"

"I never said that!"

"Oh. Oh? Oh my god, you do believe in supernatural beings!" Feyre said.

"I never said that, either!" Rhys replied.

"You believe in supernatural stuff." Feyre giggled. "There is is still a huge chunk of the ocean unexplored. There definitely live unknown beings. And do you remember my neighbor when I still lived on the other side of the city? The short, black haired lady? She definitely was a vampire."

While Feyre slid into a passionate speech about supernatural beings Rhys listened to every word she said. Seeing her today was a big surprise. However the bigger surprise was realizing that his feelings towards her didn't change in the four years since he saw her last.

This is a random question, but I’ve been rewatching TW and Im finally at 6A (a fav) I just watched episode one and at the part where Stiles says “Lydia, you’re so smart, I could kiss you right now” and then Lydia says “Do not kiss me”, why do you think that was her response? It could’ve just been brushed off, but she chose to very clearly say please don’t, which It almost seemed to egg Stiles on to then actually give her a smooch. It’s a very cute scene and it was interesting to see their roles almost reversed — Stiles confident, Lydia nervous.

YES that was a fun role reversal, agreed!!!

I can't quite remember what I felt about this at the time, but I think you're right and she just full out panicked. She thought he meant the mouth and she didn't want it to be like that, she didn't want a kiss to be just a kiss with him or be, god forbid, silly with him (she'd rather not kiss him at all). So she was like oh wait no I'm not ready I don't want it like this do not kiss me. And then instead of kissing her on the mouth, he kissed her on the cheek, which was adorable.

Side note, how lovely is it that Lydia Martin, a person who has been deeply sexualized by the men in her life ever since she was a middle schooler, got a cheek kiss from Stiles because she was so smart he couldn't help but kiss her? I am plotzing over them.

given the antagonistic interaction between lydia’s parents during the student teacher conference, i find that it’s safe to say that prior to the divorce, the two of them fought in the house. it’s fair to say that the two have a contentious relationship, and natalie does very little to hide her disdain of lydia’s father from her teacher ( who will eventually be one of her colleagues if not already?? i don’t remember if natalie is always the counselor or not / i know she filled in as a teacher in s3?? ). there’s an animosity that is palpable, and they are unable to be cordial even for the sake of the meeting. on top of that, their perception of lydia is so off base; now...lydia really is brilliant in more ways than one, and one of them is her ability to fool people, but we also frequently see cracks in the façade that people like allison were able to see through. she doesn’t try and hide her intelligence when completing a math problem in front of the class, while conversing with scott, showing the ease in which she’s able to do this. she also corrects jackson on what a mountain lion is before remembering to play it off. she’s good at fooling people, but it’s more because people don’t push her on it than because she’s a brilliant actress.

i think this really did start at home. lydia wouldn’t respond well to an ultimatum, so her dad forcing her to choose which parent to live with would automatically result in her choosing natalie. tbh i think she also likes the freedom that comes with that because natalie is more absent than dismissive. while lydia’s dad expects the worse, natalie just doesn’t care. lydia takes medication to ease her nerves after the wolf attack at the video store, and natalie just shrugs it off as normal behavior.

while she easily could have given up because her family didn’t care or think she would amount to anything, lydia really does like being the best. she hides her intelligence for a number of reasons, one of which is the oodles of internalized misogyny she has to work through, but she doesn’t back up the act in her schoolwork. if anyone took a glance at a test or a paper, they’d know; later on in their academic careers a teacher actually tells her to do less work because her own theories won’t get her extra credit. she’s a genius; she knows it and eventually she owns it for everyone to see not just the school.

the downside is that lydia is really bad at being bad at something. those negative comments her dad makes that she could just let slide because they couldn’t be further from the truth come to play then. she can pretend to suck or decide to show off and it gives her a level of control, but when her powers start to come in, nothing is in control. nothing had been for a while before that either, with her friends lying about the true nature of the attacks. she felt out of the loop and like things were happening without her consent, and then she has these powers that she can’t control and that she’s actually bad at deciphering. people keep dying because she shows up too late, and that has a physical and emotional toll on her because she’s not used to failing and now the failures have a body count. this coupled with the fact that she has little control over her own actions because she keeps sleepwalking to crime scenes does little for her mental health. she’s extremely tough on herself and she’s never had a genuine support system until scott’s pack.

okay so, this is primarily because I just watched party guessed with a friend yesterday, and time of death shortly before but. am I the only one who thinks that Scott's supernatural weakness being Allison (as in, every single time something messed with his mind, it was always at least partially about Allison one way or another) was such a... weird choice when it came to Allison being killed?

because the only time he realizes their relationship is an illusion/being used to manipulate him, and then chose to leave it behind, is when they're in Stiles' mind, and Allison is killed off the show the very next episode.

and, you know, the actress was leaving, and they just had to kill someone, and we've been dealing with their break up for all of s3 and just rinse-and-repeating everything in s4 would be annoying, and difficult without the actress.

but it still is such an annoying choice for the writers to make him get over their relationship the episode before her death like a loose end that needed to be tied up.

11x17: Red Meat Analysis (or, how can I make every episode Destiel even if Misha isn’t in them)

I have feelings about this episode, and I needed to therapeutically analyze them for REASONS, so here we go. Script bytes included with my emphasis.

***It is important to note that, despite this being a generally MOTW/brother-focused episode, Dean is so focused on getting Cas back at this point in the season that he doesn’t even want to go on the hunt to begin with (despite just two episodes back pushing Sam to do it in Beyond the Mat):

DEAN

All right, well, we make a call and we put somebody on it.

SAM

Yeah, but... [He sighs, closes his laptop and looks at Dean]. We'll get him back.

DEAN

How?

SAM

I... I don't know. But we'll figure it out. Meantime, we got to get out of here. Clear our heads. I mean, this is a case. Let's do what we do. Let's work it.

***Since no good deed goes unpunished, Sam’s attempt to clear Dean’s head leads to him almost dying and then (TW) Dean’s grisly faux-suicide attempt in order to get to a reaper to bargain for Sam’s life (really this entire episode should have a TW before the content) (*really the entire show should have a TW before the content).

Anyways, enter Billie, our queen of foreshadowing, who says:

BILLIE

Just savoring this. Though I have to say of all the ways I thought you'd go... heart attack, some fang, choking on a burger while binge-watching “Charles in Charge”...

***So, you know, both things he goes through in the thing that must not be named, the first being Billie’s actual attempt to kill him, and the second being what kills him for good. Dammit, Bilie. I equally adore and detest you and your accuracy. Are you secretly a prophet?

Dean continues to plead with her:

DEANS SPIRIT [sadness and desperation in his eyes]

I'm asking you... I'm begging you, please. Bring him back. Bring him back and take me instead.

***So as we know, the doctor revives Dean and Sam ends up being alive and everything is fine for everyone. Well, everyone EXCEPT Michelle, one of the newlywed victims, who loses her husband (Corbin - he becomes a werewolf - Sam has to shoot him). At the end of the episode, Dean is trying to comfort her ->

DEAN

Michelle, this is gonna be very hard. But you will be okay. And, eventually... eventually you'll get back to normal.

MICHELLE [sighing]:

No, I won't.

Michelle smiles gently at Dean, and then turns away, as tears spill.

MICHELLE

They said I could leave... [she sighs] an hour ago. But... where am I even supposed to go? After everything we survived together... [turning back to Dean] I watched the man I love die. There's no normal after that.

***Later, Dean and Sam leave the hospital, despite the prior exchange, Dean remains aloof/casually optimistic about Michelle’s state.

DEAN

So, that's it, huh? Two quarts O-neg, and you're good to go.

SAM

[sighing as he walks gingerly down the steps]: How is she? Ooh.

DEAN

She's strong. She'll be all right. Those stitches gonna hold?

ANALYSIS: I had some issues to work through on my first viewing of this scene. It made me feel icky-weird - like, why is my baby Dean being so dismissive? Why isn’t he taking what she said seriously? She’s hopeless and devastated - and while Dean is pretty rough around the edges at times, he’s not callous. He wouldn't just dismiss Michelle’s feelings, especially since she played an integral role in helping him and they really connected on some level during the episode. Saving people is what Dean loves to do, how is leaving Michelle alone in her despair and grief saving her?

As everything tends to, this hit different on the rewatch - my assessment - Dean’s attitude in this scene does not come from his lack of sympathy for Michelle, but a lack of true understanding - because what she is feeling he cannot possibly comprehend at this point in the show. He hasn’t yet really, and I mean REALLY watched the person he loves most in this world die in the same sense that Michelle just did. Yes, at one point in this particular episode Sam dies, and I’m sure that people draw that parallel as “the point” in this story arc (and then go on to do more than that but we do not allow that crap here), but Sam is Dean’s brother, and it’s just not the *same* parallel. AND that wouldn’t explain Dean’s attitude - his nonchalant, off handed comment that Michelle will be okay (I don’t think this statement reads as a “cover” of any concerns he actually has, I truly think he thinks she will be okay), so while he went through watching someone die who has been through everything with him, someone he loves deeply as his family, it’s not really the same as watching your soulmate, the person you love romantically die. Yes - Cas is “missing” because of Lucifer but he is not dead, there is still hope (and while Dean lost Cas back in Season 7, I don’t believe he was quite *there* with his feelings for Cas then to understand what Michelle is going through). Dean simply cannot fathom the feeling of despair Michelle is feeling at this point.

But he will. And he will also experience what Michelle did. I wonder if he thought back to that conversation when it happened to him.

That doesn’t sound like the Dean Winchester I know and love. The man who has been dead so many times but it never seems to stick. Maybe you’re not that guy anymore, they guy who saves the world, the guy who always thinks he’ll win no matter what. You have changed. And you tell people it’s not a big deal. You tell people you’ll work through it but you know you won’t, you can’t and that scares the hell out of you. Or… am I wrong?

DEAN

What do you want me to say? Doesn’t matter. I don’t matter.

BILLIE

Don’t you?

DEAN I couldn’t save Mom. I couldn’t save Cas. I can’t even save a scared little kid. Sam keeps trying to fix it, but I just keep dragging him down. So I’m not going to beg. Okay, if it’s my time, it’s my time.

BILLIE

You really believe that. [Dean shakes his head yes] You wanna die.

***There is the despair. Dean has changed. There is no normal after Cas is gone.

I know, I know I am “making it all about the angel,” and forgetting that technically Dean lost Mary in the Season 12 finale and he is feeling defeated by the world and can’t get a win. I get that. I understand your point. It isn’t JUST the loss of Cas that brings this level of increased pain to the same words he uttered in 11x17. I appreciate your viewpoint.

But, I want to also present for your consideration the third image aka the final chapter in the lesson of despair (right after a certain episode with a certain name).

Swiss Army Man- R | Moo's rating: 10/10

This is my all time favorite movie. My comfort movie, if you will. Its WEIRD though. It has a lot of gross/surreal comedy, especially in the beginning so its not for everyone! Don't feel bad if you try to watch it and decide YIKES no thanks. Trust me, I understand lmao. But if you can make it through the gross stuff, I promise you a movie that is unlike any you've ever seen. I think its worth going into it completely blind but if you fancy watching the trailer, here it is:

Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe are SPECTACULAR as the main characters and the soundtrack is hands down my FAVORITE movie soundtrack to date. I listen to it all the time in my free time because its that good. There are so many lessons on what it means to be alive, to be open so that others can understand and love all of you and it just GAH makes me cry every time.

Trigger warnings: suicide attempts, nudity (asscheeks), sexual humor, one of the characters is a corpse so uhhh whatever that trigger would be lol

Kimi no na wa/Your Name- PG | Moo's rating: 10/10

Amazing, spectacular, perfect, yes. This is my faaaavorite anime movie. The animation is mind blowing and paired with an OST by Radwimps???? Ahhhhh so gooood. This is the movie I share with my non-anime fan friends/family because its that gorgeous 😍 I cry EVERY time

O Brother, Where Art Thou?- PG-13 | Moo's rating: 9.5/10

Based loosely on the Odyssey by Homer, this movie USED to be my all time favorite. I've seen it like a million times by now. Its a Coen Brothers film so OBVIOUSLY its a total banger. Its a funny, wild ride from start to finish with a FANTASTIC cast and another perfect OST.

TW: Racism/ scenes involving the KKK, some animals are killed (cows and toad). As someone who is sensitive to animal death in movies, I'm not too bothered by the scenes so take that as you please

School of Rock- PG-13 | Moo's rating: 9.5/10

I mean.... I feel like I shouldn't even have to say anything about this one. If you haven't seen it then what're you doing??????? Go watch it!! Its literally Jack Black playing Jack Black, what more do you need?

This one ALSO used to be my favorite movie. Absolutely hilarious and great quality kung-fu action! Stephen Chow is a genius 🙏🙏🙏 (Shaolin Soccer is also good but Kung-fu Hustle is iconic 😘👌)

Talk about EXCITING. This movie is a RIDE. Daniel Radcliffe honestly might be one of my fave actors these days tbh because he fuckin rocks in this one too. Very very actiony and violent but there are some super cool and pretty shots and scenes like wow I love it and need to rewatch it

Hunt for the Wilderpeople- PG-13 | Moo's rating: 8.5/10

Listen, I'm a big sucker for the "grizzled old man adopts child" trope AND Taika Waititi's brand of humor so this movie is just mwah chef's kiss. Its set in beautiful New Zealand so theres plenty to admire 😍 I was gonna rate it a 9/10 but there ARE a few parts that drag a tiny bit. Still though, it's spectacular and worth a watch for sure

I'm gonna split these up in 2 categories: Live action and animation, because I watch a lot of both 👌

First, Live Action:

The Good Place- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 10/10

You KNOW imma always recommend this show its perfect and I rewatch it ALL the time. AMAZING ensemble cast with a ton of chemistry, hilarious, heartfelt, ugh its just fantastic in every way. Its also such a treat to look at like mmmm Ted Danson, Manny Jacinto, William Jackson Harper, Kristen Bell- LITERALLY ALL OF THEM CMON

TW: none? I mean, i would say death but its about the afterlife so thats kind of a given, ya know? So uhh just some sexual stuff and like... alcohol? Less of trigger warning and more of a content warning i guess

The Nanny: TV-PG | Moo's rating: 9.5/10

I've lost track of how many times I've rewatched this banger. Its wildly entertaining and depicts a family that loves just as hard as they fight GAH the cast is so quirky and the moments when they come together for a common goal (especially when they defend Lois???) is just so sweet. 🥰 its also surprisingly progressive! There's an episode where both Malcolm and Reese think the other one is gay and it genuinely made me so soft how they were trying so hard to be supportive agsgshdgsh I love it (also Hal is Bryan Cranston's best role ever, no competition. Everyone deserves a husband like Hal)

My Name is Earl- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 9/10

This show would be a 10/10 if it didn't get canceled and also have that weird coma stuff in season 3. Even with that though, this show is amazing. Soooo funny and full of super sweet life lessons. Its genuinely heartwarming to watch Earl learn lessons and navigate his new way of life 🖤

This is SUPERIOR writing. I dont even know how to talk about this show because it has EVERYTHING. Its socially conscious, hilarious, dark, depressing, hopeful, EVERYTHING. I never expected to connect to or be affected by this show the way I have been. The characters are deep and all go through their own personal arcs throughout the 6 seasons and it is honestly the first show I've seen to accurately depict SO MANY THINGS. Stuff like depression and ptsd and addiction and the strain fame puts on people, especially young people GEE IM GETTING EMOTIONAL ALL OVER AGAIN. Anyway, its amazing, ill stop now

TW: all of them. All the triggers. Well maybe not all of them. There's a lot of substance abuse and addiction and driving under the influence. Character death, violence, real world issues like gun control and sexism... its pretty chock full of stressors, so if you're someone who is sensitive to that kinda thing, make sure to look up a complete list of trigger warnings before watching! 🖤

Bob's Burgers- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 10/10

I probably don't need to explain why this is here. Great original music, fun characters, life lessons. Its the best, the end

King of the Hill- TV-PG | Moo’s rating: 10/10

I do a rewatch of this classic at least once a year.

I always tell people that Bob from Bob’s Burgers is my ideal of a perfect (white cis male) Democrat and Hank from King of the Hill is my ideal of a perfect (white cis male) Republican and I’m so so right. Hank is so conservative in his attitude about literally EVERYTHING, but not in the horrible Confederate flag waving, woman hating way. He’s a reserved, private guy who constantly LEARNS and GROWS, and is always open to other people’s lifestyles, even if he doesn’t understand it or if it makes him uncomfortable.

This show tackles a wide variety of people and topics and never fails to make it funny AND sweet. There are times when Hank can be bullheaded and infuriating but he always comes around to make the right decision by the end of the episode 🥰 He also reminds me SO MUCH of my dad. Literally his mannerisms, his voice, the way he says “Whhat?” when he’s shocked... it’s just my dad in cartoon form, I swear lmao

TW: republicans, guns, depression, Hank’s dad is abusive af (though he does have moments of sweetness)

The Amazing World of Gumball- TV-Y7-FV | Moo’s rating: 10/10

This show NEVER gets old. When I just wanna watch a quick something while I eat lunch or if none of my other shows are doing it for me, this is my go-to. It’s a kids show so it’s definitely more lighthearted than the others but it’s straight up HILARIOUS and has some adult jokes sprinkled in here and there.

On top of that, they use a huge mix of animation types. From 2D to CG to claymation to puppetry WOW it’s so cool

Futurama- TV-14 | Moo’s rating: 9/10

Maybe I’m just simple but this show is just laugh after laugh after laugh. So witty and quick. It’s another one that I rewatch constantly. (honestly all of these shows are 🤷‍♂️)

Archer- TV-MA | Moo’s rating: 8.5/10

Like Bojack, this one is very mature and not for everyone. It’s one of those shows (like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) that has a full cast of degenerates and bastards. Archer is an alcoholic douchebag, Mallory is a greedy bitch, Cheryl is clinically insane, Cyril is a whiny sex addict, Pam is an obnoxious pervert, Lana is a naggy wet blanket, Kreiger is a mad scientist, Ray is gay.

But it’s funny as fuck. It’s definitely one of those things where you’re like “oh no i can’t believe I’m laughing at this” but man I just love it. The dialogue is FANTASTIC and the wacky shenanigans they get into is always entertaining. If adult humor is something you’re into then this one is perfect 👌

Pam is my fave 🙏

Another cartoon for kids that I got endless joy from as an adult. It’s weird af and sometimes disgusting but the brand of humor is RIGHT up my alley. I dunno how to explain it, just give it a watch

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts- TV-Y7 | Moo’s rating: 8/10

Want to see some representation? Watch Kipo! The three main characters are POC and one is gay! The animation for this show is so nice and pretty too 😙👌 And the soundtrack??? Yes. Spectacular.

I would rate it higher but it felt a little short 🤔 even though it has 3 seasons, once it finished I felt like there should have been more.

The one today I forgot I had even tagged it. We went on a round around there. I'm happy happy you are having/ had? A good day. Are you in my head??? I'll be honest and say at first I was skeptical about the show because like always Hollywood either gets the mark so wrong when it comes to actually navigating these topics. You know there's a lot of movies and shows that show you someone who's Hispanic is always the cleaning ladies or drug dealers and to see odaat show and shine such a different light and actually take time to make sure it was correctly represented just made me love it more. All those episodes are so good. The ones that stick the most with me are Lydia in the hospital, quince, and Schneider relapsing ( tw there ) those entire seasons are so good and ugh you're gonna make me rewatch it again. MMM really is another good show. You watch that too??? Woah. Stance on Joel? And a whole other note all I've thought about today is chapter 5 and I think you've gotten into my brain 😂. -🧚‍♀️

yeah bro!!!! although it's been a minute, if there's a new season i probably haven't seen it i think ive seen up to s3? my mom and i watch it together :) we don't watch any shows together almost but it's nice to have the one. my thoughts on joel are that i don't really remember but i'm pretty sure he had a REALLY strong redemption arc. for that matter so does victor in odaat in my opinion! strong and realistic. these things are important to me. unfortunately that's the extent to which i remember joel, i can't actually remember anything he does or says just that i remember having the impression that his redemption arc was decent so that's all i can say. i WILL say that i am OBSESSED w the costume design of maisel it's all so fucking colorful and i just really do love it. man maybe i should rewatch maisel lmao

at the start i just want to say that this was one of the hardest things i did lately (it took me about an hour (and another hour to write it all down in here) lmao talk about devotion to a show). i decided not to include españa, since i still haven't finished and felt like it would be unfair to include it until i do :/

(but if i did include it, in the ranking there would be also clips like: when nora cheered eva after she broke up with jorge, lucas spotting cris kissing joana on her party and going 👁👄👁 while cris is just like 🥰🤷, cris coming out to amira and the "photo", the girls being there for eva after the meme shit started happening and cris being ready to FIGHT after she found out it was viri who took the picture) 👀👀

my top 10 skamverse scenes:

1) evak's first kiss; the most iconic thing to ever happen, the absolute blueprint of every other s3 remake made. i've watched this scene a lot of times and i still go 😮😪 every time i rewatch it. the power that that has-

2) hotel clips in wtfock's season 3; no, i'm not talking about the shower scene. i'm talking about what happened after that. i know they're actually like two (or even three) seperate clips, but they carry the same thing so i decided to get them together for this ranking. i appreciate henrik and his acting in the og really much, but willem ds absolutely killed it. the first time i watched these scenes i was like holy shit the whole time, cause he was just incredible. the eye movements, the lip trembling, the feeling of wanting to escape your own body; he nailed it all

3) wtfock's o helga natt and minute by minute scene; i love how they decided to mix these two clips from the og and make it one. the whole scene was just amazing; the music, the acting, everything about it. not gonna lie, i sobbed the whole time

4) evak's parallel universes talk; again, the og took something as simple as a talk between two people in love, just speaking what they're thinking at the moment and made it so iconic, intimate and fragile. the way they joked a little and kissed, being all goofy with each other and then with the time, the scene became more and more serious. i love it with my whole heart, so great

5) ralph opening liv's laptop and seeing the "was i drugged" page; spectacular, show stopping, amazing, wonderful- that's all i can say. this clip just got me by my guts and decided to never let go. before i watched the season i told myself i wouldn't cry, not this time (while watching a noora's season i always break at some point and i decided not today satan). well, it was going well, really well actually. and i didn't cry. well, not until this clip came. it was just perfect; the acting from both of them was really really great, the whole thing was just wow

6) martino's coming out to gio; i have no idea how many times i actually watched this clip, but it's definitely a lot. i love the whole thing; martino waiting until elia and luca left gio alone, martino coming up to gio and asking what he was doing later and if he wanted to come to his place and hang out, them playing fifa, giovanni knowing something was up and waiting patiently until marti was ready to share, non è una ragazza, gio goofing around asking if it's him and letting martino know it's all okay, him pausing the game and immediately knowing who martino was talking about... i am soft and crying, your honor. "it's the guy that gave you my headphones at the gym" it wasn't a question, he knew it was the guy. then after martino explained the whole thing, gio grabbing him by the neck as always and that way letting him know they can be physical with each other just like before and him being gay doesn't change anything. i'm getting tears in my eyes just by thinking about this scene, it's just perfect

7) the bench talk & share the love clip; yes, another skam italia one. ones, actually. i tried to pick one, i really did, but i just couldn't. they are both amazing (in different ways) and both deserve this place in the ranking

8) eva's break up speach in the og; do i even have to say anything? she was amazing and i was so proud of her at that moment. you go queen, i'm by your side

9) zoë telling the girls what has happened between her and senne's brother; from all the remakes i watched, this one grabbed my heart the most. i loved how all the girls had different reactions; yasmina was furious, clenching her fists and that "if he did anything to you, i swear-", jana being just genuinely sad and crying for her... i admit, i cried with her

10) the spectrum clip in skam italia; if you don't get which one it was – it was the one in which ele asked edo to stay and say they were made for each other (or something like that, i don't remember the exact words) and him just leaving her there (and eventually coming back). the music did a lot, but giancarlo and benedetta's acting bought me completely there. i cry every time i watch it

a way too long review of the gay shows i've been watching until my brain can read words again

Manner of Death

do i rec? yes!

Kept seeing this and gave it a shot. Love it

Since when do gay dramas understand how to portray relationships with healthy understandings of consent?? What a glow up the gay drama world has had!! i am living for this (and this is why i started binging a bunch of gay dramas; i was hoping that they all had better consent than like two years ago when i first found out that gay dramas exist. Some did! Some... didn't)

Pro: 1. enemies to friends to lovers trope AND there was only one bed trope. 2. healthy depiction of consent. 3. murder mystery. 4. great acting. seriously great job. going to the next shows felt kinda disappointing afterwards bc the two main actors are Great here imo. 5. They are adults and not high schoolers. (although actually i forgot that the secondary ship is teenager/teenager - but no age gap there so Nice) 6. no sexuality crises! very fun to just watch a show with characters who are confident in their sexualities and have crises about other things instead lol 7. one of the main characters says the most tender things i've ever seen in my whole life and i'm a little too bi to watch that! my heart??

Con: 1. uh HEAVY trigger warnings plotwise. did not realize that beforehand lol whoops so check those before you watch. obvious murder mystery warnings but like there's another plot and That one is heavier. 2. heavy makeout scenes (probably a pro for some of y'all) but i don't skip them since sometimes there's soft things like forehead smooches. 3. releases occassionally which risks the chance of you forgetting to keep up with it. 4. Bun's expressions are amazing - but in the beginning I wasn't familair with them so I personally misread his "i'm gay" look as slightly uncomfortable at first. But on a rewatch after knowing him better, it's easy to see that tose are his very gay (and sometimes flirty?? how did i mistake it so badly??) expressions

HIStory 3: Trapped

do i rec? yes

Came recommended to me after watching Manner of Death. Really enjoyed it.

Pro: 1. Adults again! 2. starts off with a cool introduction to the plot that has likeable main characters right off the bat. 3. enemies to friends to lovers Again Baby 4. the whole season is finished, so you can binge the whole thing! 5. very actiony and hurt/comfort

Con: 1. a little cheesy at parts. 2. one scene tw attempted sexual assualt (of a major character) 3. not the greatest depiction of consent. idk how to explain like not Terrible but not great - very on par with the average straight tv romance consent so like 😐. example: a character is kinda pressured into dating someone/kissing. and i'm supposed to think this is cute? no ty 4. more makeout scenes (again though depends on your cup of tea) 5. the second secondary pairing (lol i guess the third?) was so boring to me. It was probably bc i dislike age gaps bc i just didn't enjoy them. She could have been a cooler character had it not been for this romance arc and I think she deserved a way better storyline 6. there's a couple makeouts

did not enjoy it! i actually hated every romance plot in it and only stuck around bc i enjoyed the depiction of a group of teenage boys being tender idiotic friends ☺️ like Yeah they really felt like high schoolers like Soft and Stupid ones

Pro: 1. after the "bullying" thing (which is cultural so not my place to speak) the group of friends was the Literal reason i watched this show. i really enjoyed watching them be goofy and tender. 2. it could have been such a cool queer mentor arc but like,,,, because he ends up dating a teenager 😡 their interactions all felt gross - so not actually a pro? 3. the group of friends secretly read a gay comic in order to understand their gay friend lol i Love these stupidly supportive idiots and like i said the friendship of these teenage boys is the only things that kept me watching. 4. the actors were decent, so i Will give them that. it's not their fault i didn't like it. Particularly the two main actors were good.

Con: 1. uhh the whole thing? lol? 2. Personally I don't enjoy romances where the one who gets bullied dates their bully! But even besides that, I just didn't enjoy it. 3. top beef here!!! a grown ass man dates a teenager??? 😡 WHAT?? who allowed this?? gross. 4. even excluding the adult/child relationship: still had bad consent. didn't like it. no outright sexual assault but like. bad consent. worse than average tv maybe. 5. it wasn't an ED but a character doesn't eat due to bejng poor but the onscreen effect is still not great for people who have/had EDs 6. makeout scenes (and a sex scene that was kid/adult) 7. a gay character gets outed by someone else. 8. homophobia exists and is a Theme. 9. uh apparently it's another bury your gays trope bc - and this is kudos to the good acting since i didn't care about any of the romances in this at all - the tragic ending made me Upset like who gave them the right to do that even though I hated this show??

We Best Love; No.1 For You

do i rec? yeah why not

(I don't actually know if there are more episodes than that! I stopped at 6! i don't remember why? I think I just got distracted and then was satsified with 1-6 enough to not seek out more)

pro: 1. the main character (after ep1) is likeable 2. the cinematic shot of the lights turning into hearts bc we were seeing through Gao Shide's pov? I cannot get over it. That frame lives rent free in my mind, it is a cinematic masterpiece. 3. it's a fairly lighthearted show with not a lot of stress, so it's good for a distraction 4. i don't think there were any makeout scenes, just normal kiss scenes 5. the main friends were cute and i wish there was more of that dynamic in the show

con: 1. the first episode. I almost stopped watching. I had such bad secondhand embarrassment??? and i thought he was gonna end up bullying this dude while trying to "prank" him? 2. a main character blackmails another character. it's pretty lighthearted overall bc it ends up that the character was just trying to help but at the initial blackmail I was like Yikes. 3. a character secretly manipulates a situation to make it so that another character has to spend the night with him. which it's just a slumber party-esque vibe and not at all malicious but still. 4. OH YEAH lol i totally forgot until i just looked up the show to double check the name. There's sort of a secondary gay pairing and I thought they were so boring and didn't enjoy their characters at all. However, one of those guys was shot down in such a great way a the main character that I enjoyed. It really shot down the "you owe me bc i like you" trope that I've seen. Those two dudes? Con. That rejection? Pro.

Cherry Magic

do i rec? yes!!! absolutely! 💖

I'm actually rewatching it back to back after having Just finished it.

i know i said this in its own post but! things that i did not expect Cherry Magic to have but here we are:

• the best quality of consent I've ever seen in a romance show (seriously, i cannot get over how the comfort/discomfort levels of the characters Matter)

• an aromantic character potrayed positively!!! and with such warmth!!!

• a great depiction of someone neurodivergent that has anxiety + low self esteem

• the attention to detail! the crewmbers that did all this detailwork did such an outstanding job wow

• no onscreen sex and/or makeout scenes. Finally. a show that keeps all "fanservice" off screen. thank you so much, i was not expecting this from a show that starts out with talking about virginity

• speaking of: the concept of everyone taking their time (and consent) at their own pace is so refreshing.

Pro: 1. tender, soft, funny, loved it. 2. the plot starts out with a quirky premise, but it progresses really believably and you quickly forget the initial "what the heck is this??" and just enjoy it 3. lovable characters. seriously enjoyed the characterizations - and the amazing acting definitely helped. Incredible acting. the range of different emoting smiles for kurosawa is incredible. 4. I've said it in the above but wow the detailwork in this is insane. 5. love to see good aro rep! 6. the character dynamics - platonic and romantic - are all really interesting and progress nicely. like it starts off with characters that are likeable but builds up quickly instead beloved characters. 7. if adachi isn't autistic then what is the point of self projection? he's def autistic. love to see it. 8. neurodivergents with low self esteem getting love is what i live for. and this show does an amazing job representing people with self esteem issues + anxiety without ever blaming them for it or being condenscending

Con: 1. Didn't care for the secondary pairing! Even though they are both adults, I'm not a fan of age gaps. The especially baby-faced younger actor threw me off of the pairing completely. But even without my personal distaste, I just felt like it was boring and the rest of the show was so good that I always wanted to skip back to the main plot. (but didn't in fear that I wouldn't understand later on. which now i think that you can skip them and still understand) 2. The first episode I spent most of it dreading what was going to happen bc of how it starts off making a big deal that he's a virgin. I needn't have worried but at the time I hadn't known that! 3. tw for sexual assault. Now even though this is under con, I do think the show handled it really well. One instance of a character being catcalled. And a different scene where a character is groped and disturbed by that; two other characters imply that the character should have been happy to endure the situation. But the show definitely does the situation well and the audience knows that the character was not okay with being groped and - no matter what the two others said - that it was wrong of her to have groped him. So con because groping but it was well executed in combating victim shaming.

In conclusion:

• Queer shows have, in general over all, improved in consent quality in just a couple years; I can't wait to see how they continue to improve in the future. (please let them stop doing age gaps soon lol)

• Right now, Cherry Magic is my favorite hands down. Manner of Death is amazing too but way, way darker in plot.
