Residing in the dark and dusty manor has probably made Edgar's inspiration plummet over time. For an artist like him, this environment is grueling. The other survivors' complaints wear him down, their never-ending bickering is like screeching to him. Nowadays it is hard for him to even pick up a brush, every stroke on his canvas feels like torture. That is, until you came along.

You don't even need to be particularily nice to Edgar, or talk to him much, to pique his interest. It would be enough for you to have an interesting physical feature, or maybe a peculiar habit.

Just like that, you're a gust of fresh air, and he gains new inspiration from you. Finally, picking up his brush doesn't feel as tedious anymore. And what would be more fitting than portraying the source of his rediscovered artistic spirit?

He'll spend hours trying to draw you. Trying to perfect every spot, every crevice, every small blemish on your skin. If he would just be able to get this portrait done, then all his prior troubles with his craft would disappear, he just knows it. But he just can't get it right. Something is always be amiss. Something would always bother him.

And so, he starts watching you. First from afar, then from a more close perspective. Purely from an artistic view-point, of course. This borderline obsession isn't anything emotional, it is only him trying to become a better artist. Atleast, that's what he tells himself.

Truth be told, at this point, he is attached to you beyond any measure of his artistic intent. Seeing you go about your day, fight your fight in matches and converse with the others... something about you is special. He can't quite pin-point what, but something about you makes him feel calm and serene.

You don't irritate him like the others. Sure, he hasn't talked to you more than the occasional "good morning" or "good evening", but that does not matter. He knows you well enough to judge your character from his plentiful observations.

And so, he actually does end up speaking to you. He invites you to paint together, which you accept, surprised by his invitation. This activity becomes a weekly habit.

Edgar doesn't really say much, he mostly just watches you, and listens to you ramble about many different topics, while you two paint and sketch on different canvases. Sometimes when you mention the other survivors, you swear you could see him tighten his grip on his brush, or clench his teeth. But you ignore it, after all, he doesn't seem to be on particularily good terms with them anyways.

From what the other survivors told you, you expected him to be... Much more of an asshole? He doesn't seem half bad. Your skills when it comes to painting are a little lackluster in comparison to his, but he praises you on your unique art-style, and gives you tips for improvement. He even thanks you for spending time with him sometimes, although he only always mutters it very quietly whenever you're about to leave.

It's true, he really does enjoy your time together. Being so close to you, seeing you from such a close distance, hearing you speak and seeing the tiny gestures that accompany your talking, he enjoys it. And finally, he can paint you in your full beauty. Finally, he is satisfied with his work.

But all of that is interrupted when you spend time with the other survivors... Why would you prefer them over him? You've heard how they talk about him, haven't you? How vile they are, how they gossip about him. Truthfully, the feeling is reciprocated, after all, he hates them, and he hated them first, for how loud and messy and dirty they are, but now he hates them even more, for making you think badly about him.

He needs you. Not only for his craft, but for his peace of mind. He'll ensure your attention is on him, and him only. And just like into his art, he'll put his blood, sweat and tears into making sure of that.

Yanderes Reacting to You Attacking Them

Characters: Aesop, Alva, Andrew, Edgar, Eli, Luchino [H & S], Norton.

Genre: Yandere, Drabble.

Warnings: Unhealthy relationships, physical violence.

A/N: This has been sitting in the drafts since April and I kept adding people since then for some reason. It's finished now though!! Btw huge disclaimer, do not do this in real life. This is meant to be for the shits and giggles, not to permit people to do this. Same goes for my other yandere writings. Just wanted to clear this all up just incase.

If you don’t like yandere or if it makes you uncomfortable, don’t read.

Aesop at first glance doesn't seem like the type of person to be able to hold his own, but thats far from the truth. He literally carried bodies for his job before coming to the manor, he's quite confident he could take you on if needed. If it means hurting you then so be it, he'll patch you up later. But when he does, he won't be as careful as he was before. So don't be surprised when he "accidentally" bandages you up too tight or sticks the suture needle in the wrong spot... multiple times.

Aesop

Alva

Not mad, just disappointed. He's told you multiple times on why he had to take you away from those untrustworthy teammates of yours, they were dangerous and he couldn't risk losing another person he cares about, but you never would listen.

More brains than brawn. He knows you could best him in a fight, so he cheats a little, using his electromagnetism to stop you. Think smart not hard.

Andrew

This is what he deserves, he truly believes that, there's no reason for him to stop you in his eyes. How could he? He was the one who did something wrong and this is his punishment. Being hurt by the one he loves has never hurt so much before, but he understands. If doing this to him makes you happy, seeing him in pain by your own hand, then he'd gladly have you do it again.

Edgar

This guy has most likely never been in a physical fight in his life. He has no idea what to do, which makes him feel so vulnerable. And there's nothing else he loathes more than feeling vulnerable. So he panics and does whatever he can to get you to back off, even if it means to fight dirty. He'll kick, he'll pull hair, ears, anywhere he can reach. And when it's all over and your body aches from his attacks, he'll be looming over you, scowling with the pitiful tears of fear in his eyes.

Eli

He takes many precautions with you to avoid situations like this from happening. With his foresight, he already knew what you were planning and would try to talk you out of it, not wanting to resolve this in a violent manner. Because look, he's not very strong, in fact you could most likely overpower him if you really tried.

But if his attempt to dissuade you was to no avail, he would only fight back to defend himself, not hurt you. He couldn't bring himself to do such a thing to his lover.

Luchino || Hunter

...really? What were you thinking when you were trying to do that? There's no chance of you ever overpowering him and you both know it. So he just... laughs it off. He laughs at you. He finds your fruitless attempt hilarious, he thought you were smarter than that. Then, he grabs you by the back of your shirt like you're nothing but a small animal to him: a predator and its prey. But he was right about one thing, he knew you were such an intresting human.

Luchino || Survivor

He's more worried about you more than anything. Having a job working with highly venomous reptiles is nothing to take lightly. Your safety is his number one priority, even though it should be the other way around.

Now, he's not gonna do anything drastic, seeing as he doesn't want to worsen the already dangerous situation, but he's going to act serious about it. Firmly grabbing you by the shoulders and dragging you out of the room, only to then start scolding you. Not for what you did, but how you could've gotten hurt. It's not that he won't acknowledge that you attacked him, it's just that he knows your effort against him is completely futile. He only wishes you'll soon realize the same.

Norton

If you surprise him enough, you may be able to topple him over, forcing him to let out a string of curses at the sudden tackle you give him. Once he sees that his attacker is you, he tries to get you to stop, pleading for you to calm down. He'll even be trying to grab your arms to get you to cease your actions.

Absolutely sucks at fighting, especially if someone else starts it, but if you are considerably weaker than him then he may stand a chance.

- Norton is Irritated.

- He's more irritated that another person gets to have such a beautiful wife, but he is upset you never told him.

- His disappointment is immense, yet he feels he still has hope.

- Maybe you don't love you fiance, perhaps they're actually scum and you're just putting up with it.

- He creates these false hopes that maybe he still has a chance to convince you.

- He's determined to show you he is so much better than them!

- They aren't as smart as him, surely?

- Why wouldn't you want to be the wife of an inventor!

- He's sure you just need more convincing...

Painter 🎨

- Edgar is angry and bitter

- Partly at you, as he is a narcissist.

- How could you not accept his advances? He's a famous painter who's caught you as his muse!

- Then he hears about this fiance...

- His anger is then directed towards that person and now he's just bitter to you.

- He still loves and adores you, he's just annoyed that in order to get to you he needs to get rid of this other person.

- He wonders what sort of inspiration he could get from painting their corpse...or using their blood.

- It makes him smile, sadism flooding his mind.

- The painter is selfish indeed, willing to sacrifice others for his work and his mistress.

•Despite popular belief(for whatever reason) Edgar isn’t some rich snob who looks down on everyone- he genuinely cares for his darling and his protective traits show that-

•Edgar in general can be a very caring and affectionate lover, especially as a yandere. Your needs will always come first for him and he has no shame in showing that.

•If you’re scared during a match, then Edgar is going to drop whatever it is he’s doing to go and comfort you to the best of his abilities-(which isn’t very good anyways but he tries)

•After matches, if you’re still scared, then he’ll try to get your mind off of it by asking you to model for him- he loves to paint you in his free time anyways, but it would make him especially happy if him painting you made you feel better as well.

•During this time he won’t allow any interruptions- he hates having his alone time with you taken away by someone, it annoys him quite a lot. So if need be, he may throw a snide remark or a glare their way for a second, that way they’ll leave you two alone

•When he’s around you, Edgar feels more at peace- and because of that, he wishes to repay you by making you feel less scared whilst at the manor.

•He’s not too great at communicating, but if someone or something freaked you out, then he’ll listen to whatever it is you have to say and try to help you get over it.

William is a tall, strong, and fit man, though he is surprisingly kind despite some people finding him intimidating.

As a rescuer, he pays extra attention to the people who arrive in the manor that look like they might need extra help so he can remember to keep an extra eye on them during matches.

The first thing he looks for is knowing their area of expertise because survivors who look lanky or weak might be kiters with abilities that will help. 

If it’s a decoder, their physical build won’t matter -- they’re gonna need his help either way.

The second thing he looks for is your physique and physical build.

And well, compared to him, everyone is short.

Third and lastly, he checks your personality and how you act with your other survivors.

For example, Edgar Valden has his paintings to help him kite, but he is very lanky, and the way he interacts with others and talks makes few people like him, and even fewer want to go rescue him when he gets chaired.

Meaning that William, of course, has to do it.

Some survivors are more pleasant to rescue than others. Helena always smiles at him and thanks him, even if she gets hit immediately after getting off the chair, for example.

But the way you act puzzles him.

You don’t really talk to anyone or interact with anyone, preferring to stay locked up in your room until you need to leave to get something to eat or play a match. 

Naturally, William starts to try to talk to you, being very persistent, and always making sure to rescue or stun you free. 

He hopes that this will let you open up to him a bit.

At first, he just does it to see if he needs to keep an extra eye on you when doing matches, but soon it develops into him wanting to be your friend.

You just seem so lonely when you don’t talk to anyone.

Then, one match, he barely manages to stun you free before Michiko puts you on your last chair.

You struggled out of her grip and yelled “thank you” as you tried to run to a better area to kite in.

Without thinking, William called back “you’re welcome, darling, keep up the good work!” Which made you mistime the pallet, getting downed again.

He saw that your cheeks were furiously red when he tried going in for another stun, but this time Michiko managed to dodge it and chair you.

William found your reaction to the accidental pet name and purposeful compliment endearing and began to compliment and tease you at every opportunity he could.

You’d get mad at him during matches when it caught you off guard, but it was difficult to be mad at him when you both were back at the manor.

I feel like William could get jealous easily.

Other survivors will pick up on his compliments and your reactions to them and some will start trying to chat with you too.

William isn’t sure why he doesn’t like that.

It won’t take long until this caring man starts caring about you a little too much.

All match, every match, he will follow you around.

He will decode with you, stun rescue you, take hits from you, and rescue you from the chair if his attempts of keeping you safe fail. 

Also glare at anyone else who tries to come over and interact with you whether it’s Patricia wanting you to heal her, or Kevin wanting to co-op decode.

He has a fascination with your hair.

The two of you have similar colors but yours is just so different!

He loves to run his fingers through it and compliment it.

The other survivors start getting annoyed with him quickly. 

He’s doing nothing but assist you and follow you around.

To him, it doesn’t matter if every match is lost as long as he can make you get dungeon and escape.

No one else gets rescued by him or stunned loose.

Getting fed up by this, he’s questioned by his teammates in one rare match he’s in without you.

And the response he gives is terrifying.

“It’s because she’s mine. You don’t deserve to talk to her or be near her. And I won’t hesitate to hurt you if it means keeping her safe.”

Delusional overprotective galore. 

He believes that he is the only one you want to talk to -- why else would you leave when there are many people in the same spot and talk so little to the others. 

And of course, he needs to keep you safe -- you get hurt in matches, and William can’t stand that.

One match you had without him you’d been bled to death by Wu Chang, something that had angered William so much that he saw red and gave the hunter a taste of living hell the next time he was up against him.

It won’t take long before he gets clingy.

Basically glued to your side, preferring to carry you around everywhere.

He jokes that it’s good training which, in part, it is, but that way he keeps you away from everyone else, too.

There’s no point in trying to reason with him, telling him it’s too much or that he’s making you uncomfortable.

Because William knows you.

He knows you’d never say that to him.

Who have you been talking to?

Who has put these thoughts in your head?

Who does he need to beat up?

He’ll move you to his room despite your protests. He can’t be separated from you for even a night. 

And this way, he can help you wake up in the mornings before games after a night holding you close and keeping you safe.

Just give in already! Can’t you see all he does to keep you safe?

And if you complain more about him being too much, well in his delusions, he will find a survivor to blame it on. Maybe Kurt did something over breakfast.

Maybe Servais put ideas in your head when you bumped into him in the hallway.

William will eliminate anything or anyone he deems a threat to you -- even if the said threat is imaginary.

And let’s be realistic -- how could you escape from him? Not only is he bigger and stronger and will overpower you in seconds, but there is no way to leave the manor.

You’re stuck here with him no matter what.

And that’s good.

Then, he can keep you safe.

And that’s what he does

You’ll find so many drawings of you in so many poses that you don’t even know how he got. Some of them being quite erotic

In his opinion, he doesn’t think anyone other than him is worthy of your love. They all have evident flaws to go alongside their horrendous personalities. Whereas he has none of those, practically the perfect being. So there’s no doubt you would want him over others

Like Antonio, he can’t kill in the manor, but lets say he can. He wouldn’t do it for you, he wouldn’t even lie about it either. He’s doing it for himself, out of his envy and rage that someone tried to get close to you. He’d use their blood in his next painting and then ask you what you think of it while wrapping his arms around you, holding you close and smirking in pride

He’d get annoyed quick if you were to cry to him about being kidnapped. He doesn’t care about what you think of your current situation, he never did

When you’re with him, he’ll teach you how to act like a true noble, just like him. Acting prim and proper, having the manners of an aristocrat

Doesn’t tolerate disorder. Oppose him and you’ll be disciplined. He doesn’t view some of them as punishments, however. For example, not eating for a while isn’t that bad to him, he’s been through it before and so can you. You’re just too spoiled and are just being hit with the harsh reality of life

He expects you to praise him and tell him you love him everyday, if not he’ll grab your chin and force the words out of your mouth

His yandere attitude barely differs from his normal one, so no one even thinks anything’s wrong with him, they still just think he’s an asshole
