he's not as anxious as andrew, absolutely, but the exact same question runs around in both of their minds...

"do i really deserve this? why me, out of all people?" he wonders, even asking you directly, but he shall accept your affection nonetheless, out of appreciation and good manners

always feels guilty as he doesn't know how to repay you for your kindness, so in response to your kind words and acts he never forgets to shower you in praise

i'd say that he, when giving out affection, is bigger on the act-of-service and quality time part, at least on the surface, so he finds taking you out for dinner or opera the best way to thank you, refusing your pleas to at least split the bill

the time and moment(s) when yours' and his words of affection hit the hardest are during the dead hours of the night, cloaked behind the wine red curtains of his bed, your bodies intertwined with each other and his brain numbed out to nothing but the vibrations of your voice whispering praise into his skin, him pressing his lips onto your temples and combing through your hair with his fingers

like any artist, he's starving for praise - although, obviously, he won't ever admit it as he's well-mannered - and will cherish every single compliment or affirmation you give to him, never forgetting to get back at you with one when you least expect it from him

ashamed and his face completely pink the first time you insist on helping him with reading labels or you compliment his hairdo that day - not going to lie, he's going to become a bit selfish and start craving it even more, going to extreme lengths just to hear some more gentle praise seep out of your mouth or to feel the softness of your palm through his leather gloves as you lead the way

the sudden ego stroke is new yet so incredibly addictive to him to the point he might become clingy or way more affectionate than he usually is, not wanting to let go of this daydream he's living in

in response to your affection - he obviously has to shower you with twice as much love and care, no? it's the only reasonable thing to do in his eyes

as much as he's determined to get back at you he's still incredibly shy in delivery, muttering it out nervously and maybe even rushing whatever he wants to help you with in fear that stretching it out will increase the chances of him embarrasing himself and ruining the image of him you have in your eyes

it's scary, leaning his head closer to your face to kiss it, complimenting your appearance that day, tending to your injuries in fear that he might mess up the wound even more and cause even more harm, gifting you some fruit he picked from the garden - brand new opportunities, leading to hundreds of both good and bad outcomes yet if it's for you, then he shall combat his fear of failure

as much as andrew seems naive due to his upbringing he doesn't trust people that easily and now that you gained his trust he's going to become very protective of you especially if you two end up in a match together, not letting the hunter (or the other survivors) get a single hit on you

Fluffy relationship hcs with Andrew Kriess

Story type: Fluff

Pairings/Characters: Andrew Kreiss x Gender neutral Reader

Andrew at first is very iffy with PDA and physical contact with his lover, due to his extreme low self-esteem and natural anti-social nature it's harder to get in a relationship with him then most other survivors or hunters.

Eventually though after a bit of slowly coaxing him into it he begins to love PDA, he's extremely touch starved due to being socially and physically shunned his entire life other then from his mother.

Though gardening isn't his specialty he's picked up on a lot of it over the years and will often gift you his favorite flowers, purple irises. He'll shyly present the flowers to you, the blush of his face growing obvious.

He won't admit it but he's a extreme cuddle bug and specifically loves being the little spoon. Sometimes however he enjoys being the big spoon as he feels it's only fair to you and it feels like he's protecting you from the rest of the harsh world in some way. Being in someone who loves you arm's can work wonders.

After having to be self sufficient for years Andrew has learned to cook and is actually really good at it! This man is the definition of husband material. He'll pay attention to which foods you like and dislike and will make you breakfast sometimes. He'll basically become the designated chef of the house if you like his cooking and prefer not too cook.

If we're gonna talk about the manor games then he'd prioritize your safety over everyone elses, including himself. As soon as you get downed he'll be rushing over getting ready to go underground to get over too you quicker. He'll double body block, even triple body block with his tide turner. He really just wants to see you okay.

Gives you sweet nicknames such as: My light, My iris, and more. My iris is definitely his favorite due to it being his and his mothers favorite flowers.

Whenever someone insults him he usually ignores them being mildly annoyed, but whenever someone insults you those feelings do a 180. Though he's never really had the courage to stand up for himself he'll definitely do it for you, he loves you and never wants you to feel the same way he does about himself. Though he's slightly healing from that mindset due to more positive interactions through you and some of the other survivors and even hunters of the manor he's still struggling with his low self esteem and will never ever want you to feel the same. You have him and he has you, and that's all you two will need.

He stared at you.

You stared back.

The clinking of utensils on plates and the sound of chattering around the two of you as you engaged in an endless battle, one only broken as one would look away to grab something from the middle of the table but always resuming.

The Gravekeeper found you odd.

You found the Gravekeeper odd.

Yet the two of you never seemed to say anything more than what you needed. Everyone else was aware of the odd attraction the two of you had towards each other, the Gravekeeper being a cold and soft spoken loner and you... you were just shy. A good teammate, a good comrade, the two of you had only ever said 'hello' to each other and yet you were as thick as thieves.

"Pass the gravy boat." Kevin said in the background, Fiona reaching between the two of you to pass the gravy boat to the cowboy, Andrew tilting his head to stare at you underneath Fiona's arm.

"Can you pass the peas?" Reaching out to grab the bowl of peas that sat between the two of you, your finger tips brushed against Andrew's before you pulled the bowl away, passing it to Patricia who sat to your right.

"Oh will they just talk to each other already?"

"No thanks."

Andrew Kreiss

Andrew tried his best to stay away from you and funnily, you did the same to him because you think that all adults couldn't be trusted.

Whilst he thinks you can't be trusted, not because you're a child, he just thinks no one can ever be trusted unless he was absolutely sure.

Both Andrew and you have many similarities, the most noticeable being scars – Despite how much Andrew is being covered by his clothes, you can only guess just how much scars he has under there as well.

Andrew isn't good around anyone but seeing just how lonely you are, he tries to make an effort to strike up some sort of conversation with you.

It's usually just quiet greetings or comments on the time of day and weather.

You never responded and it did admittedly made him upset, he thought you were avoiding him because he was a monster.

Nevertheless, the pale man kept going. It went from several words to a decent amount of speaking from the timid adult.

Andrew starts rambling about his matches, how well or bad they went, what he felt or thought. Stories of his life before coming to the manor.

He too starts leaving those irises behind whenever he left you alone, thinking you might need space away from him.

You took each one of them and kept them in your small pockets. You listened to every story he told with the tiniest of smiles forming.

Andrew might never know but you did enjoy his company, you do trust him.

Norton Campbell

Norton is a scary, very scary and odd man – Whose skin was mostly covered in patches of burnt marks.

The way the shadow from his miner hat casted down onto his face, shrouding his eyes in darkness didn't make things any better for you.

Overall, he gave a mysterious and intimidating aura to the point you daren't get even an inch close to his supposed personal space nor do you ever look at his direction.

However whenever you two do coincidentally make eye-contact, he gives you a look that sends immediate shivers down your spine.

Norton has a habit of making the tsk sound whenever something isn't to his favour.

Whenever he does that, you're quick to assume it's directed at you.

Norton doesn't converse much, he only does small quick talks, usually right before the matches start – Strategising with the others on what to do and expect.

The longer you are in the manor, the more you start actually paying attention to this prospector.

He didn't seem as scary as you've once thought, you still do not know why he constantly stares at you but.. It's not like he plans on doing something bad right?

After one fine match with Norton as one of your teammates, he silently approaches you. Dark eyes staring down at your smaller form

A small smile stretches across his half-burnt face as he gives a light pat on your shoulder. "You did great kid. See you in the next match."

The closer you got to the prospector, the more open he became towards you.

He loves cracking jokes, they're dumb at times but have never once failed to make you laugh at it anyways.

He treats you both like a friend and sibling.

Naib Subedar

Norton might be scary and intimidating at first glance but you're sure this man was much worse. He was a total complete mystery.

The thin green hood he wore always covered his entire face, you could only see his eyes but was never able to make out his expressions.

Out of all three, Naib would definitely be the one you'll avoid at all costs, he looked like he was out to get you. Even if he wasn't.

He mostly kept to himself but the times he didn't, he was a loud and perhaps cheerful man..

Or maybe not. He was always screaming and shouting at others in anger and annoyance, you could never tell if he was joking or not.

It was like Naib had anger issues which he perhaps did, you can't be too sure about that.

One thing you do know which doesn't include screaming and shouting was that he has a sweet tooth.

Naib especially loves stuffing his face full of sweet stuff, he eats almost anything but sweets? He couldn't resist.

He occasionally shares his food with you too and maybe other stuff.

Naib sees you as his little sibling, even if you find him scary. He doesn't mind.

He will always be there for you in matches, tanking a hit, rescuing you and distracting the hunter so you could escape.

You still don't fully trust him but he does feel like a big brother.
